My family and I stayed here for three nights The best thing about this place is the location! However, the rooms and service needs improvement I made a list to give you a better idea of pros and cons about this place

Pros: Location, cleanness, sand toys for kids, bonfire, kitchen supplies, friendly and quite atmosphereCons: small rooms, very uncomfortable furniture, staff is not there to assist with needs and not very friendly

Amy Woodson

The location can’t be beat I loved the deck and firepit The service was also great

My only suggestion would be to improve the rooms A can of paint can work miracles Small investment Also the mattresses need replaced Very uncomfy A small investment to make it nicer would be ideal Both us and our neighbors agreed we would pay more to have those improvements

I just arrived for a family vacation and as I’m lounging in my bedroom, the lights start to flicker every time someone uses the elevator The more I looked the more I noticed things wrong The sheets are disturbingly unclean and I found lots of hair upon arrival

Some pillow cases are stained beyond their original color and torn I will be sleeping on top of my own blankets from home The bed frames for the twin beds are poorly put together and can be rocked back and forth There is a minimum temperature allowed in the room The fan in the bedroom clicks loudly so you can’t sleep with it on The beach is also presumably public access judging by the lack of space available on weekends

Beautiful beach, great location Stayed in condo 302 nice size for 3 couples Stayed there 10/2020

Wanted to give the room one more chance Needs updated ASAP! The Refrigerator crisper drawers are both broken Dishwasher dirty, carpets very dirty Could not use washer or dryer in unit as it was lockedThe complex 2nd floor washer and dryer did not spinDo not like that we have keys to get into the pool and back from the beach We had a 3 BR with 3 couples received only 2 sets of keys Asked for 3rd set, had to Uber back down keys did not work Had to Uber back to the a 3rd set of keys that worked

John Draeger

Rude owners, no on site staff to help with problems, we were asked to cancel our reservations 1 week out due to painting and boy do I wish we did Nothing wrong with the work going on, those fellas were courteous Had a man who called himself “part owner” put a sticker on our van to have it towed out of the mostly empty parking lot

As a native Floridian, I can tell you there are MUCH better options all up and down golf drive, pass this place up and give the “part owner” the empty building he is looking for

Hidden Gem! We were lucky to find an available room the week of school vacation and we were pleasantly surprised We had a room overlooking the pool with a bonus partial gulf view The room was spacious for us (2 adults, 2 small kids)

The kitchen was fully stocked which came in handy for in room meals with the kids The amenities are all new or updated including a rooftop deck which is great for watching the sunsets There is a shallow pool in addition to the regular pool and hot tub which was a hit with our kids The way they do housekeeping is perfect because we were always back and forth to the room from the pool or the beach The staff was super friendly and helpful The proximity to John’s Pass made dinners a breeze Stayed for 5 days and didn’t want to leave Will definitely be staying here again

Laurie Hayduk

The 2 bedroom 2 bath premium suite was fabulous The suite was modern, clean and very large Sadly the pull out bed was pretty uncomfortable but the other beds were great

Everything was very clean There were plenty of kitchen items if you wanted to cook but we ate out for every meal A fabulous place right on the beach We were very impressed

Whitney Grabill

Perfect location!! This hotel was beautiful and family friendly as we stayed with our 3 young kids Beach literally footsteps from parking lot and John’s Pass was a few minute walk with plenty of places to eat/drink Our room was supposed to be poolside view and ended up with pool and partial gulf view which was a very nice surprise

We hope to be back to Barefoot Beach Club!

We had a great time at this hotel We stayed in room across the street and it was perfect for our family The kitchen had everything to spend a weekend with the family

Pool was small but well maintained Beach was amazing Property had hammocks, BBQ, beach toys, beach towels and chairs for $10 rent fee for the entire stay so worth it Watching the sunset every night was a highlight of the trip

Jeffrey Brewer

This hotel is really a budget hotel with fair accommodations If you are looking for something affordable for a night or two, this place should fit the bill We just came over from the East coast of Florida, to enjoy the Gulf side for the day

We enjoy watching the sunsets from St Pete Beach and taking in on all the sites Unfortunately, it rained but we made the best of our visit The accommodations can be found in my pictures, and as far as the staff-I only saw two members during my stay They were pleasant and did their job, which I have no complaints about If you want a no frills place that is close to the beach, this what you get with this place Our room was located across the street from the main hotel, which for us, was a bigger room and more parking

Leena

Better than most hotels I booked last minute on the way home & it was a pleasant surprise My room cost 250 after fees for a king size bed with kitchen

It had a normal size fridge, cooking pots/pans/utensils, stove top, full bathroom, & closet Steps to the beach and close to food/barsDefinitely would come back!!

My family stayed here exactly a year ago It was the best experience The grilling areas were amazing, the pool was fun, great location all together

Plus the staff was amazing The only thing I would change is adding a broom in each room The rooms were perfect size for 4 people! Will definitely be back the next time we are in the area Also loved we could leave our pool floats and life vests there knowing another family could get joy out of them!

Kerry Baldwin

What a find! We stumbled on to this place by chance and we were the lucky ones! Rooms are beyond spacious and nice! The pool area is a well kept and very relaxing We did not use the grills but they are readily available Kat who works the front desk is a breath of fresh air and super friendly! Hotel is just across the street from one of the prettiest sunsets we have seen! Highly recommend!

Jerry Hoang

Such a wonderful place! Our most recent visit was over last weekend We stayed in a different room than last times, and each room is decorated in a unique way The ladies from the Front Office and staff are very friendly and courteous

The resort surroundings as well as our room are really clean, and the room has fridge, stove, microwave, cookware, dishes/plates and utensils ready if you want to do some in-room cooking Our kids love the pool, they spent hours in it The location is excellent, within walking distance to the beach as well restaurants and coffee shops We had a great time and will definitely come back! Highly recommended

We went to this resort for their restaurant / cafe Mangos We were staying 2 buildings down and had just checked in so not wanting to travel away, we walked over It was close to closing time and we were almost the only people in there

The waitress was very friendly and efficient and surprisingly the food was great, fresh and tasty I would not say it was the greatest but very passable I had grilled salmon salad and it was very good and my partner had grilled grouper which was also very good I would definitely return if in the area

I could go on and on about this place! My boyfriend and I decided to book this trip last minute and we were scrambling for a place to stay I came across Johns Pass Beach Motel on the Booking app, as we were wanting to stay on the beachfront and in a fairly average price range We had to get a later flight coming into Treasure Island and so I messaged the motel on the Booking app and within a couple of hours I received a response and they stated late check in is just fine we just need to let them know day of that we will be doing late check in and so I did just that

Once again, they were quick with response We were a little nervous about doing late check in, especially with a smaller motel but it all worked out perfectly More than perfect We told the motel we would be arriving around 2 AM (our late check in time after the flight) They told us that the door would just stay unlocked and keys would be right inside the door on a countertop and we would just check in at the front desk in the morning All of that went extremely smoothly Rose is who we spoke to most at the front desk and checked us in and also checked us out and she is such a wonderful, kind, genuine human I don’t know if it’s Rose we are reviewing or if it’s Johns Pass Beach Motel but both were outstanding in our books Such a cute little place right on the beachfront with such character and personality Everything is tropical feeling and cheery Also, felt completely safe Rose was accommodating from the time we checked in until the time we checked out Extremely pleasant stay and we will be back and in the meantime, we will also recommend Johns Pass Beach Motel to anyone coming down to Treasure Island

Mishelle Dykes

Where to begin This place was heavenly I stayed in room 6 it was perfect! The room was cleaner than clean

I felt so at home there Rose was amazing She seemed to always be around with a smile on her face She treated me like family The pool was so amazing I timed it and it took me a minute and twenty seconds to walk from my room to the ocean The beach was quiet and also very clean There is a rock like pier spot just a tiny bit away with benches to watch the water I enjoyed it so much I hated to leave and can’t wait to go back Oh and there is a little spot on site that has a washer and dryer to use it worked great and another little spot where you can use the motels chairs and umbrellas and other similar items with no extra cost for the beach Trust me you don’t want to miss enjoying this beautiful place So happy I took the chancebest decision ever! Thank you so much Mrs Rose for everything!!

Sharon Williams

Very clean rooms, the pool is great!! Beach beautiful and love it’s just a short distance from our room, felt like it was in our back yard! Room 6 is perfect, nestle in the corner a few steps from the pool and the balcony that you can gather around and enjoy the fabulous view of the beach Will definitely be back and hope to have room 6 again!

THESE ROOMS ARE IN DESPERATE NEED OF RENOVATION The room was incredibly tiny It was dirty

You could not enjoy the small balcony due to the incredible smell of weed in the air The bathtub was not only a falling hazard, but it was moldy The drain would clog up, filling the tub with water Ants were EVERYWHERE in the kitchen The pillows were so flat you’d need about 4 to sleep comfortably The mattress was so uncomfortable that now my back won’t stop hurting The “blinds” were missing so many panels that they were worthless, so the sun woke us up every single morning DO NOT STAY HERE

Beth W

This place is a dump!!! Used to own a unit here So glad I got rid of it Filthy, smelly, unprofessional staff

Housekeeping is non existent unless you call two dirty barefoot guys “cleaners” The unit was never ready by check- in and then hurriedly “cleaned” Broken everything Moldy everything Unless the rent is $500 per day, you’ll be better off camping in a tent

Hila Holcomb (Hila)

Please Read before staying:I give this a 1 star because of the viewThe beds are terrible to try to sleep in The sofa bed was nothing but springs, had to go buy an air mattress, no help from the office personnel

The staff must never sweep under things, found items that I know was not mine Mold every where Chipping paint, cracked ceilings The Jacuzzi didn’t work in any of the rooms The bathtub/ non-working Jacuzzi was so high us shirt legged people with back problems, suffered tremendously The furniture was broken upon our arrival Was supposed to be a non smoking place but while in the pool you could see people out on the balconies smoking and not always just cigarettesJim, the maintenance man was the friendliest staff there The others acted like we were a bother to themI have pictures to back all if this up but site would not allow me to postRooms are supposed to be big enough for 4 but only 2 could be comfortableThis was not the relaxing 2 week vacation I had needed

First off I want to talk about the staff, each staff member I had any interaction with was extremely friendly and helpful I can tell that the staff here are well taken care of because their attitudes are great Secondly I want to rave about the restaurant that is attached to the hotel, YUMMY

It is very convenient to be able to go down and eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner while never leaving the beach There are several tables outside that overlook the ocean Lastly, the beach is within steps of the hotel I’m talking like 50 yards and you’re swimming Beautiful sunset too 10/10 would recommend Thank you all for being so welcoming and friendly

Linda Schmidt

I just stayed there last week and it was wonderful Great location, great views and services with food and drinks was super Total shout out to the staff, they were off the chart professional, kind and courteous

I checked out and left my air pods in the room Housekeeping turned them in and i had them back with in 24 hours I cant thank them enough for their honesty and getting them back to me A great place and will definitely stay there again They get 6 stars from me

Dwayne Leonsrd

I requested my room to be cleaned and serviced the set towels out side my door I called the front desk they apologized and did try to make it right The did comp my wife and I a dinner well that did not go well as I looked at the menu on-line and thought what I was going to have for my dinner well they had not updated their website so what I was thinking I was going to have had been taken off the menu

I’m not one to complain I work in customer service and in management and to pay premium pricing for this hotel over 400000 for a week stay I would expect better quality of stay The people were wonderful and friendly and the do the best they can with the directions they are given The views are wonderful management needs to step up their game all the trophies in the lobby are years in thepast and does not represent this hotel today Thease issues are purely on a management team and it’s upper levels To no fault of of the service people as they do as they are directed I would love to be contacted by the upper management team to discuss their management issues

We stayed at the Legacy Vacation Resort in Indian Shores FL in February 2022 I can’t say enough nice things about this business First of all it’s a “B Corporation” which I had not heard of before

It means that the company takes social and environmental concerns into account instead of just pure profit So that was an unexpected plus It was across the street from the beach, backed up onto the inter-coastal and had spacious rooms The staff was excellent and answered any questions and even made phone calls for me regarding special requests that I had for restaurants There are grills that you can use to cook your own food if you would like You have to reserve them to make sure they’re available but this was no problem Someone will come down to uncover the grill and preheat it Utensils are available to use and when you’re done they clean the grill! The rooms are not cleaned daily unless requested for an extra fee, but linens and towels are exchanged daily if you want Dishes and utensils are included A dishwasher is provided and they give you dish washing detergent A small sponge and dish soap is also provided The only negative about the whole stay was there was no scouring pad for the dishes My grandson decided he would cook one night He knows little about cooking and even less about cleaning after himself I couldn’t get the pots clean with the sponge they provided I asked one of the staff and they were able to come up with a pad for me, even though they insisted I leave the dishes and pots for them The pool was good sized but not overly large, and they actually had a hot tub that they kept hot which I found both unusual for Florida and enjoyable! I was there with kids and grand kids and we had a two bedroom suite with two baths, included kitchen etc If you are traveling with the family and plan on doing some of your own cooking, I can’t recommend this location enough I would definitely stay here again

We stayed here two years ago when covid was just starting I was interested to see how it would be on a holiday week in 2022 It was still great! The pool was never really busy, super convenient to the beach and the pier out back

The building is so quiet Staff was wonderful, we had an accident that they had cleaned up when we returned at the end of the day Highly recommend staying here

We stayed 1 night to kick off our trip Excellent value The rooms were newly updated and clean with nice walk in shower

Smooth check in and excellent staff The area is nice and a short trip to John’s pass and other activities Right across the street from the beach and on the intercoastal Covered parking was a nice benefit We would be happy to stay here again

The customer service by every single member of the staff is exemplary! This is a brand new property, and it’s beautiful, with a more than adequate kitchenette, convenient curtain separation in the suite between living and sleeping areas (so kids can sleep while adults catch their breath) The bed was so comfortable, and plenty of pillows too The room was beautiful and very clean

This property is very pet friendly, and although we didn’t bring our dogs, with the hotel full of service animals, there was absolutely no barking (at least none we could hear) The pool was clean and refreshing The breakfast was fantastic and included in the room I can’t say enough about the staff at this property David and Jennifer were both super attentive and always ensured all our needs were met You can tell the staff really care We live close by and stayed here to get away from home and enjoy the pool, and we got so much more than we planned for Thank you so much! We can’t wait to come again

We got married for a destination wedding in Florida We needed a hotel to have all of our family and friends to stay at The hotel was so kind and welcoming

Our guests for our wedding were extremely happy with their stay The rooms were large and clean The lobby (because of the larger group) was lovely to hang out in Every staff member was above and beyond helpful and nice

The staff at Home2Suites surpassed any of my other experiences at a hotel So welcoming, accommodating and friendly!! The room was spacious, awesome and oh so clean We had absolutely everything we needed

Great experience!! (Note: This was a block of rooms for a big wedding so we were a large, loud, merry group and the staff was more than happy to be happy with us!!)

First time staying at the Bungalows in Treasure Island It’s a nice place Clean nice heated pool and walking distance to the ocean

The fall back is if you are planning on sleeping especially on the weekend this is not the place There was a couple of families and then their friends came over and they partied all day and night Way pass 3 in morning Had to go home for sleep That happened 2 nights in a roll And for the money you pay you should have some piece when your on vacation Not here

We stayed at the Bungalow years ago It was much better at that time This time we had some issues

In our unit, there was no electrical outlet in the bathroom I could not find a mirror near an electrical outlet so I could not blow dry my hair Our grandson walked around on the floors with bare feet and soles of his feet were black from the floors Our bathroom sink filled up with water because it drained so slow Almost all the TV controllers had issues We had to unplug the main room TV to get it to turn off The outdoor chairs were coming apart so we had to be careful it didn’t collapse on usOur sons also rented 2 other units and in one bedroom, the fan was missing a blade Our other son in his unit, found three large dead roaches He turned on the dishwasher and it made the place smell horrific The disposal didn’t work so the sink backed up We paid a cleaning fee plus the unit rental fee so we did expect everything to work and floors to be clean On the positive, the linens and rest seemed to be clean The pool was nice and beach location was good We would consider coming back if we find out these issues were resolved

Advertised as a home away from home, it is ! We are a family of four plus the dog and had an espectacular time at The Bungalows last weekend The place is well kept, has a swimming pool, is located right across the street from Treasure Island Beach and walking distance from Johns Pass Our room was awesome, 2 queen beds, great ac, great well equipped kitchen, awesome bathroom and the best part is that it has its own porch where we had drinks until late at night without bothering anybody

We will definitely return here Piece of advise is keep an eye on ac filters since they tend to get dirtier y sea side and make sure to check all spaces since we found a dog bone under the sofa that belonged to someone else

My wife and I specifically chose this hotel due to the property being 21+ Our room was on the 5th floor and faced the ocean The view was spectacular, almost as if the room was floating on the ocean

Every morning we were able to watch the dolphins from our patio while we had our morning coffee and at night we listened to the waves as we went to sleep The room had a very comfortable bed, small dining table, 2 recliners, a full bathroom and mini kitchen with a fridge, stove and over, microwave and all the plates and utensils you could need The property was very clean and quiet, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the pool was well kept and warm We absolutely loved the location, the property, and our experience If you are looking for a clean and kid free environment I highly recommend checking this hotel out We are already planning our trip for next year

A friend told me about this place last year and I immediately book a stay for this year A friend and I stayed just a week ago and I’ve already booked another stay for next year!!! I can’t say enough about this place! The rooms are clean, the entire staff are so friendly and accommodating The pool sparkles!!!! It is located steps from the beach and the view and sunsets are breathtaking!!! There is plenty to do and see just short distances from the resort so the location is perfect!!! This will be the place I come back to year after year!

Rebecca Gilligan

We stayed at this resort both for my 40th birthday (as a couple’s stay, with my husband) and also last month with my brother and sister and husband (more of a “family” stay) Both times, the experience was wonderful! We love the pool and ESPECIALLY the closeness to the Gulf beach They have a free movie library, full kitchens with dishes, outside games on the pool deck, a coin-operated laundry room on site, AMAZING VIEWS of the ocean, and great customer service people behind the desk

It’s also a quick Uber ride (or walk!) to some great restaurants and bars We really LOVE staying here, and I look forward to doing so again!!! 🙂 Highest recommendation

The hotel itself is a little run down, but the rooms have been remodeled and are beautiful! The beach and pool are great The staff is amazing! They all were so friendly and helpful I would absolutely recommend this place

I just wish I could have had a longer stay The only complaints I have is there is only one mirror on rooms and no beach towels But I would definitely stay here again

We stayed recently, for a week, and left knowing we would be back! The staff was helpful and honest The location was incredible We stayed in a 2 bedroom unit with a balcony (222) and it was very nice, clean, and spacious

We enjoyed a sailboat ride, using the kayaks, pool, hot tub and the cabanas There was a lovely restaurant and bar just a few minute walk down the beach I’ve seen mixed reviews, but personally, I cannot wait to book our next beach vacation at Grand Shores West We had a fantastic experience and would absolutely recommend GSW as well as stay again

Lisa Houdek

First off we had a mix up with my hotel package I purchased on Pricelinecom and the staff was amazing and understanding Sean I think was the General Manager and was amazing and helped me through the whole ordeal

I stayed with my 3 teenage girls and we were right on the beach This location is absolutely breathtaking The cleaning staff was so accommodating getting us new towels and wash clothes throughout our stay The outdoor heated pool and hot tub my girls loved The canopy chairs at the beach were included in the hotel Which was super nice to Use Thank you all for our wonderful stay We would definitely stay again
