I loved the staff here at the hotel, the bartenders were so sweet and so funny The drinks were amazing too and the vibe at the bar is really upbeat and fun I ordered a to go order and it wasn’t great but the customer service made up for what the food lacked

I would suggest going to the restaurants around the hotel but for a couple of drinks and good conversation the bar is definitely the place to go

A hotel in summer must have working air conditioning Very hard to sleep in hot stuffy rooms that do not have windows that open and very poor/ nonexistent air conditioningStaff was friendly, and tried to help

Nice location Nice rooms Might try them again, but not in the summerWe stayed as part of a large group and some rooms did have decent A/C, but several/most did notAte breakfast buffet once Everything was room temperature Did not get my money’s worth, as cold biscuits n gravy kinda spoils the appetite and it is nice if the butter attempts to melt on your French toastThe made to order omelet was hot, if a bit overcooked, but not bad

Let’s start with the good The hotel is worth staying at for 2 reasons The customer service was really good and the bar area had good food and good drinks

Servers were great Now for the bad Let me say this was my experience and does not necessarily mean you should not stay here It’s centrally located and nice bars near by The first room they gave me was horrible, handicapped room , smelled mold and sewage and dirty Room located above trash compactor and at corner of building next to busy street When the bars let out it was horrible You can hear every car Second room the cleaning was incomplete Dirty custodian towel let behind and someone’s cell phone There was a huge I mean huge crack in the ceiling that felt very unsafe3rd room was much better , shown below I’d stay here again but never on the lower floors on the East side of the building Stay higher floors and no handicapped rooms unless you need it! Finally I will say again the customer service was good they refunded hotel fees and gave me enough vouchers for the bar and restaurant that I basically ate free each night Well not free but close So that made up for it

We stayed July 29, 2022 at this Fairfield by the Empire Mall A great place for us to stay You won’t go wrong staying here, and we even had the room by the elevator on the second floor

I can list everything separately form the comfortable bed, plenty of towels (!!), plentiful breakfast, kind, efficient employees, mall and eateries next door, etc The only sad issue is the rates (for all hotels, except maybe a Super 8) have gone up so much We stayed on Friday with a reasonable rate but if we added Sat nite, the rate would’ve averaged $240 a night But, still, this Fairfield was great!

Brea Gabriel

My family and I stayed at this hotel and right before I closed my eyes to fall asleep I saw bed bugs crawling out of the hotel pillowWe of course told the person that was working the front and he did offer us another room but are stay was already ruined I was afraid another room would probably have the same problem

So we put all are belongings in garage bags until we could properly wash everything and headed back home in the middle of the nightI was super disappointed that management didn’t seem to care I had bed bug bites on both my arms, had to drive 5 hours home with kids and missed my son’s entire hockey tournament that we came there for

Grammy Barfels

This hotel,is easy to find with a number of restaurant choices close by We were especially impressed with the breakfast staff and especially Christine She opened the breakfast area early so our men’s hockey team could eat before an early game

The rooms were clean and the entire facility was very enjoyable We’ll stay here again for sure!!

I’m upset I’ve stayed in a lot of really nice 3/4 star hotels throughout the southern US you know, 200 a night, high end bar inside, high quality room service, etc etc

The first thing I noticed was how pleasant the hotel smells I felt like I walked into a bed bath, except it wasn’t overpowering It was just pleasant The woman at the front desk was incredibly niceThe bathtub was shockingly ergonomic Most bathtubs really aren’t designed for you to go neck deep… or at least not for taller people (I’m 6’2, 6’4 on tinder) The bathtub seemed to cradle me no matter how much I slid in Presumably it’s more comfortable for shorter people Anyway, it was almost on par with being in a nice hot tubThe bed was perfect firmness The pillows are actually good Most of the time I have to ditch hotel pillows and bring my own in I’m a picky sleeper, so this may be personal preference The sheets felt amazing The sheets felt undeniably clean on my skinThis isn’t the “nicest hotel” I’ve stayed in But it’s undeniably the best in terms of hitting all my buttons perfectly I view it like this:Your mothers cooking vs a high end steakhouse Alternatively, your significant other vs your celebrity crush

I stayed for 10 days for work I travel a lot for work I will never stay in a different hotel chain again if I can help it

I absolutely love everything about this hotel They are doing it right! The thought put into the details for your stay makes it feel like a home away from home That’s really important to me Free laundry, dishes and cooking utensils on hand Full fridge, microwave, stove top and if you need a box fan just ask the front desk I’ve stayed in 3 candlewood suites since this one and so far south dakota is my favorite

Kyrie Buck

This hotel has pet hair EVERYWHERE and smells terrible All of the sheets, even new ones have pet hair Both rooms I got on the third floor smelled so bad I couldn’t sleep

My son has allergies to cats and was itching as soon as we checked in The lady working told us no cats were allowed, yet we spotted one In the window of someone’s room the next day The smell from the vents is a mix of unclean cat and dog odors I was also told the second room I was checked into was just deep cleaned but the sheets smelled bad and the shower was not clean I booked this hotel mainly for a the cleanliness score I saw The cleanliness reviews are not true in my opinion though I’ve stayed at 6 different hotels in Sioux Falls over the Summer and this was by far the dirtiest, lowest end with the least amenities It wasn’t just my two rooms that were not clean as another guest I met in the hallway going to buy Lysol wipes because she said her room didn’t appear clean and another gentleman on my floor was having a sneezing fit complaining about not being able to breathe in his hotel room The morning manager said it’s pet friendly and the Hairs/smells are probably coming from the unclean vents, gross Most hotels are pet friendly, pet friendly shouldn’t mean Stinky, dirty sheets and covered in hairs I spent $1,000 to stay in this filth for a week I’m awake writing this in the middle of the night bc the smell from the ac vents/sheets and itchiness this Place gives me Don’t make the same mistake! ( see picture of cat in window from the “no cats in here” hotel that doesn’t care if people are allergic)

The lady at the front desk was very friendly and checked us in quickly The lobby looks nice and clean I like how they had masks, tissue, and hand sanitizer in the lobby

I love how they have a indoor pool especially how hot it is outside Our room and bathroom was nice and clean My husband and I had a good nights rest 10/10 recommend!

Dianne Jensen

Was greeted professionally at the desk when our party arrived But the next day got an eye roll from the same employee when asked if we could get the local news and weather in the lobby to check out the travel conditions The rooms were nice but found the previous occupants boxed leftovers and various drinks in the refrigerator

Others in the party had a sticky refrigerator inside and out Dried mud and rocks in front of the coat hooks Just made me wonder how well it was cleaned No fresh towels the second day of our visit (Over $200 a day and we cant get fresh towels?) Our group was going to meet in the attached bar after having a cheerful waiter the previous day but the bartender was so unbelievably rude to the first couple from our party to arrive, we just left for someplace else The swimming pool , though smaller than some places, was great This was a family gathering ages 5 to 85 and enjoyed the pool

Darien Nguyen Dat Nails Bro

I decided to stayed here because me and my kid got really tired after a long traveling trip, they charge me US$16816 for 1 room, the first room they gave me got this fishy smell and one of the towels in the room got bloody booger still stuck in it, the bedding have dirt stain on them, I took pictures and showed them, they switched me to a different one RIGHT NEXT to the first one, still have the fishy smell, the pillow have some weird stain on it, mouldy smell behind the chair next to one of the bed, but I was too tired and didn’t want troubles The pool look fun but definitely not taken care of, you can see lots of dirt and debris under the whirlpool

Over all a horrible stay, avoid this place if you can, the staff are not trained properly to left the place under that condition and also price gouging

I loved it here The one thing I thought was really cool was them welcoming me on the tv Never saw that before

The inside of the hotel looks amazing, so don’t let the outside fool you And of course their breakfast, yum! I did have some card key issues, but they fixed them right away each time Oh and the pool was warm! Major plus! The room was smaller than expected but still nice My only complaints: no cartoon options for little ones, just spongebob, no microwave, and I did find a dirty baby bottle between the bed and the nightstand when looking for my dropped glasses The only reason I gave location a 4 star is because I prefer to be outside the city and it was crowded

K F

Where do I begin When we checked in we were told there would be breakfast served from 6:30- 10:30 for an extra charge Room and bathroom was nice if you don’t mind the ants

Got up next morning to find out the breakfast bar was closed but hey at least had coffee, so we had to go have breakfast elsewhere Tried to get money out of the ATM it wouldn’t work Lady at front desk would have rather sat on the bar stool and played on her phone than help us Tv in room didn’t work Called front desk about it but they didn’t know when they would get to it And to top it off the charged us more for the room than what was on the confirmation email

*the manager ended up reaching out to me to right the situation I appreciate it*The hotel is decent and modern with its amenities

However, once I was in my room I found small bits of hair, trash, and dirt around the room on the floor and in the bathroom I would have asked for a different room if it wasn’t so late Also, the Kleenex box only had two tissues Overall, decent hotel but my experience was not good It could have been much better

The hotel itself was in good condition and we would definitely stay here again The front desk staff and kitchen lady were amazing Both at nighttime when we checked in the lady went out of her way to help us

And the morning lady was just as helpful I have a dietary restriction and the kitchen help was so hospitable She went and got me a breakfast item that met my restrictions and even offered to give me a couple to take back to my room if I was staying a few more days Which I wasn’t but the customer service was outstanding here All three ladies I dealt with are superb employees! Do not hesitate to stay here!

Unfortunately we had a really poor experience This hotel has a pet friendly policy which is great for pet owners! Upon entering our room it smelt of cat urine The rooms are spacious for a big families, but other than that are outdated

No housekeeping, poor breakfast If you can go somewhere else do so! We asked for blankets for the pull out couch and we’re rudely told “we don’t have any” by staff who were not planning on doing laundry We also were notified a day after we checked in that the pool was not useable When asking for a refund I was rudely told no because it just happened the night before I checked in the previous night at 6pm and was never notified the pool was down for maintenance Very upset as we were trying to have a small 4th of July vacation for our kids Kristy was rude and never attempted to work with us on any issue I would never recommend

Five stars for the Residence Inn in Sioux Falls! I highly recommend staying at the Residence Inn in Sioux Falls for your next visit! From the moment we got there the staff was extremely friendly! Christy was helpful and accommodating when checking us in! Our room was beautiful, clean and comfortable! The breakfast is good and rooms are cleanAll the doors are loud when someone is closing the doorsWhen the wrestling state tournament is going on few weeks ago

The people representing Willow/ Clark Lake? If I got that right The wrestlers and their visitors are so loud and kids running out of the rooms and in hallways Even during the quiet hours they were still loud I address this to the front desk clerk Nothing has been resolved I emailed the hotel manager, still no responseThey lost their good customers of two years I will stay somewhere else

Wanted to set alarm but it didn’t work Went to call front desk and there was no phone cord The check-in gal had zero personality and zero hospitality and zero customer service

Called front desk from my personal phone and told front desk Terry about the alarm clock and the phone and he didn’t even apologize or offer anyThe only plus for this motel besides convenience was the Dove soap F+

Thomas Graspo

So, I guess we’ll start with my disappointments 1 the bed was a little squeaky a little hard for my liking, I’m not sure why the Holiday Inn brand can’t get a consistent bed throughout the chain some places have great fed some places have the older pads that are little Moore Farm then I care for

second, is the workout room treadmills don’t work very well I look forward to a good run every morning help keep me in shape because I’m on the road 200 + nights of year Get those pics that give you five stars Other than that breakfast is great locations good pillows are awesome oh, best shower pressure I’ve had 2 weeks

The hotel was clean and check in was a breeze The room was pretty standard nothing special Our stay was for medical purposes so we left before breakfast and didn’t use the pool or anything

I feel the price is a bit high for what you get though My personal preference for a bed is something on the softer side and these beds were pretty firm The pillows were also very soft and didn’t offer much in the way of support In the future, I will likely book somewhere else if staying in Sioux Falls

Kyrie Buck

Nice clean rooms with comfortable beds and good views The staff here is so nice Everyone I encountered was super friendly/helpful and patient with my kids

Very family friendly One of the gentleman, overnight front desk workers was very kind to my son, who can be a handful, lol The woman who does breakfast was awesome too Thank you for a great stay ❤️

Joseph Stillwell

I was very impressed by this hotel! I read so many great reviews before I booked TripAdvisor had this hotel ranked #1 in the city, which surprised me because I never thought of the Comfort Inn line of hotels as special I was wrong, this is the finest hotel I’ve ever stayed at that was less than $140 per night

The rooms are spectacular and VERY clean The flooring is beautiful in entry way and bathroom, and the shower is nice as well My only wish is that the shower had more water pressure, but that’s not a big deal The pool and hot tub were very nice as well! Don’t spend $200-300 per night in other places! Save some money and get a better stay here! I will always use this hotel in Sioux Falls!

I was able to check-in via the app, as I usually do I was too tired to do in person, as I usually do (to see if I’m able to get a room upgrade) No complaints regarding the room, much

Comfortable and clean room with a very nice view of the Big Sioux River and bike trail—great for people watching and viewing the sunset Fantastic area for a stroll after dinner; the Arc of Dreams is just a few steps away and Falls Park is about a mile walk Many families around, so it feels fairly safeStaff at front desk was friendly Didn’t interact much this time Crave is the name of the restaurant on site Have my review of it elsewhere; great food and service Starbucks is on site, as well The gym, although small, fully functional and clean A big plus: free parkingMy room was a connecting room I slept well but was awaken by my neighbors about 1am Cursing and being loud Woman screaming, man asking her to calm down This lasted a good solid 20 minutes, as I attempted to go back to sleep I was about to call front desk, but chose not to, due to fear of retaliation later (solo female traveler here) Eventually went back to sleep, but woke up groggy Morning had a bit of the outside noise with construction and horn of a train(s)—but didn’t bother me as much as my neighborsAll in all, if it weren’t for the unruly neighbors, it would’ve been a more-than-pleasant stay

Shane Robbins

Great view of the river Right next to the river walk area Crave was downstairs

I definitely liked the Ambiance of it Real nice vibe I ordered the Chicken Wings, which weren’t really your typical chicken wings All parts connected, had to tear apart yourself Definitely not a fan of that mess The wings tasted good, just didn’t like having to fight with it, and you really can’t eat the winged tip anyway Next time I’ll just order the Steak

Sherry Cathey

This was a mother / daughter weekend The hotel was centrally located and convenient to so much in the downtown area Walking distance to several restaurants and boutiques

The staff are professional and they offer room service The crave restaurant is nice with a full bar and a wide variety of food including sushi!!We had a river view room with queen beds (306) and they were comfy The Starbucks was definitely a plus tooI would definitely recommend this hotel

Stay away Negative stars for poor customer service from the front desk/managementDiamond member, reserved a room 3 weeks ago specifically with a baby bed as we would be traveling with a 6 month old

Waited for 10 minutes at the front desk upon arrival as no one was working it Husband finally walked in to the back of the desk and someone came out No greeting, no “sorry for the wait” Just “last name” Then handed us a keyGot to the room and of course no baby bed Try to call down and the phones at the front desk, house keeping, and restaurant all had busy signals As in they had clearly been taken off the hookHusband walks down, and front desk says “you didn’t book a crib and we probably don’t have one, we will send one up if we have one”Of course a crib was not sent upCalled Hilton customer service line and they said they would call the manager They did, and of course it WAS listed on our reservation to have a crib, the manager said they “over looked it”We still have never spoken to the manager! Never received even an apologyHilton refunded us the room and told us we could go buy a pack n play ourselves and they would refund us the costFunny you would think the manager who boggled the reservation would offer to go out and do it themselves but instead we are out at 10 pm trying to find one10/10 for Hilton taking care of what the local branch didn’tHiding in the back leaving the front desk unmanned all night and being rude to customers is a weird look for a hospitality worker

Overall very quality clean rooms With nice decor and comfortable rooms In fact on the trip I opted to sleep in the bathtub because the people I was traveling with for a school trip would not go to sleep

I went to the front desk and asked for a queen comforter and a pillow The lady was accommodating and I slept perfectly The pool was amazing too Very large, and not too much chlorine Breakfast in the morning was niceThe design of the hotel was very nice as well, and I appreciate interior design

If you have business in Tea SD, this is the place to stay Friendly staff, clean & nice rooms Quiet

Breakfast was typical of this level hotel, decent, but quite basic My only complaint is simply the bath soap they provide The worst I’ve ever experienced! And they do not provide the rooms with shampoo, unlike most other “better” hotels So up your personal care products GrandStay, and you’ll clean up with travelers

We stayed in room 116, which is a king room, for 1 night and the room was immaculately clean Upon arrival and when booking the room, the front desk staff was very friendly and welcoming The hotel was very quiet and clean, especially since they are pet friendly, I have a dog with a very strong sense of smell and she did no sniffing around the room

My only complaint is that the parking is very limited, we have a very small tow behind trailer and almost had nowhere to park There is a restaurant with an ajoining parking lot and while looking for a spot to park, I noticed that some of their customers were using the hotel parking lot The breakfast also was not stocked well Breakfast is bewteen 6 and 10, i went for breakfast at 7 and my boyfriend went at 9 and it was understocked both times My total bill was $189 with my pet fee and for the quality I would definitely stay here again!

Evening staff member was terrific Think his name was David working the night shift Had a problem with our window coverings and he came right up to fix it

Very friendly and was working a ton of hours (all hotels seemed short staffed) I made a mistake on the breakfast hours and couldn’t figure out why the hotel was having a staff meeting in the breakfast area while our family was trying to eat Lots of talk about taking care of guests while we moved to a corner and had to navigate through the meeting to get our food Bad on hotel leadership for not coming over and explaining to me what I missed, which was breakfast was over 30 minutes prior My apologies for disrupting your meeting, but a real missed opportunity by the leadership team to do a live demonstration of how to take care of a guest with their entire team watching Overall, though, a really nice stay

I came to Holiday Inn for a training The hotel was very clean! Front desk was welcoming and polite We would come back and actually stay!We used the public restrooms off the conference room, which were spotless! But, after 24 of us started using the restroom more it started to smell of sewer

Conveniently located to so many cool restaurants and stores I highly recommend Slim Chickens and it’s within walking distance! There’s also a Walmart, Sam’s Club, and a Hyvee nearby Also, their breakfast was too notch! It was even better than most other Holiday Inn Express and Suites I’ve stayed at before
