I missed my flight and was extremely aggravated so I hopped on the shuttle and came here The front staff was extremely nice, the women was training a new employee at the front desk and check in was smooth! She was able to give me a slightly discounted rate and I am only staying until early in the morning She reminded me to book a spot on their free shuttle in the morning and asked if I needed a wake-up call since it’s super early

The bed is extremely EXTREMELY comfortable and I have a 12 level spinal fusion, so I’m picky The kitchenette is very nice and clean The bathroom is huge! Shower is HUGE! Thanks TownePlace for making my really bad day end on a good note!

Liked the room, hated that interstate traffic woke me up ALL night 😑 The kitchen was lacking actual dish liquid Its hard to get some things clean in the dishwasher if they’ve stuck onto the pan

So a few of our dishes were dirty But other than that, the room was clean & comfy The beds are more soft than firm, at least in #301 The breakfast was oatmeal & spinach quiche No fruit, no meat, no waffles, etc This is the worst breakfast selection I’ve had in a very long time Most other hotels (I’m in different hotels about 4 days out of the week) have much better options The quiche is superb though, I will say that I could have been greedy and ate 3 more Lol But all in all the hotel was nice, just needed a few small improvements

Stayed for a month Fourth floor is the best bet Far enough away from the noise downstairs

Room service was meh One of my coworkers found a small roach on the third floor I guess it is expected when there are kitchens in the rooms One morning, I grabbed my iPad from the bed, flipped the cover open and a millipede flew out of it I’m thinking pest control may be in order The breakfast sucked Seriously But the bed was comfortable and the TV was alright Kitchen had a good setup and facilitated my cooking No restaurant/bar There’s one down the street at the Four Seasons hotel Not bad for an extended stay hotel overall Great folks too

Nice size rooms that are up to date, staff is friendly and available at all hours, nice pool and hot tub Can be on the pricey side compared to the other 5 hotels it is next to buy by far the nicest of them If you are coming to town for World’s of Fun it is an ideal location

Not to close to anything else But casinos it’s about 25 minutes to downtown and 30 mins from kci airport

Sharon Whitehead

The queen bed suite is probably the smallest candlewood room suite I have ever stayed inThe bed was against the wall less than 6 inchesI had to crawl into bed from the footSince we have over 200000 points, we have seen quite a few rooms The staff was nice but will not stay here again unless it’s the only place we can find between little Rock and Minneapolis that accepts pets

2 Chronicles 7:14

Loud Music!!I booked my stay for 2 days The first day I checked in around 7:00pm and there was already people outside in the back area with Bluetooth speakers blaring with loud music I called the front seat around 9:30, she said that they should lower the music around 10:00pm

Well, 10:30pm came around and the music was at the same levelI called again and the employee went out and ask them to lower the music The second day, the same crowd started their music at 4:30pm……I called at 10pm and the front desk operator (different from the night before), hesitantly said she will go and ask them to lower the music They eventually lowered it after 15minsI started to wonder if this hotel is specifically designed for a party hub Due to the fact that the crowd had blue tooth speakers that lit up They had a microphone They had large amounts of alcohol Music as loud as they desired…only thing missing was a disco ballIn general……when most people are traveling, they rely on hotels for rest…peaceful rest That is what you pay for Travelers rise at early hours of the morning to start their journey again, how can you successfully do that without getting some sleep with loud music outside your window??I give it 2 stars ONLY because the front desk employee on my first night was so sweet and welcoming

This Holiday Inn is FAR superior to the Holiday Inn Express that I’ve stayed in my past few visits There are a few cosmetic issues, but nothing major The entire staff is very friendly and extremely helpful

They’re doing a wonderful jobHotel hallways tend to be humid, for whatever reason, and many have a funky smell, but this one is air conditioned and really smells clean and fresh My room is clean and has all the expected amenities I’ll definitely be back

Benjamen Adam

Rooms were nice and clean Hotel is modern The hotel is close to downtown KC and makes things accessible

I wish the hotel had better shades in the rooms The rooms have blinds that do little to block light from the outside You will not have a dark room because of the city lights at night and the sun in the morning I also wish the check in time wasn’t so late 4 PM check in and 11 AM check out is kinda ridiculous

S Miller

Extremely rude night audit employee I’ve stayed at this hotel a few times before and have never had any issues with any front desk staff Rooms are always clean and accommodating

amenities always up to parThis visit as I walked in after midnight I get questioned by the night audit staff member on if I was staying here I walked in and headed straight to the elevators, which upon entering you’d only know their location of you were a guest or had stayed here before Once I told him that I was a guest then he went on to question me about which room I was staying in I gave him that information and asked him what would happen if I weren’t a guest Asked him about if there are hotel policies against having guests come over The gentleman working was giving me attitude with his answers and when I went to walk away he mumbled something under his breath When I stepped back to ask what he said, he gave more attitude saying that he’s just trying to do his job I asked his name and he refused to give me his name, telling me he won’t give me his name, to just leave the front desk and to have a good night Staying at hotels for more than 280 nights a year and by being a former front office Mgr for Starwood, I know good service and I know bad service when I see it This was extremely poor service and as a Platinum member of your hotel program I don’t expect to be treated this way when walking into the hotel to go to MY room

I’m a Hilton honors gold member I’m used to great service but Bailey and Roxanne have gone above and beyond I spent 3 hours in line at the airport only to miss a early flight and I was exhausted and stranded

They did everything they could to make sure I was able to get on my next day flight and put me at ease The food at the bar was perfect and Roxanne know how to serve to perfection I’m used to Aspen service which is phenomenal and they exceeded that I’m very fortunate to have gone to the Hilton Kansas city and will be back!!! Thank you Bailey and Roxanne, the Hilton is lucky to have you!!!

Cheri Brown

My room’s TV and one lamp wasn’t working Also fridge wasn’t on, but they sent someone right away to fix it all! J was great! Nice young man! I was able to get a great turkey club and potatp salad to go from hotel restaurant

The shuttle brought my daughter from the airport without delay! Excellent hotel and service! Also, there is a Starbucks in the hotel, but they don’t use the app so bring money

victoria Schutter

Location is right next to airport Huge hotel with convention center They have 2 choices of rooms: 2 double beds with shower and bath tub or king with shower only

Bathroom is well lit They only supplied two towels I here was no coffee or coffee cup in room But they did have a coffee maker Ac worked great and enough plugs in room The bed was ok, but mattress has seen better days The pool area is very basic and in need of a lot of work No towels at pool

Not a bad place overall, but you can’t expect a lot fr a 2 star hotel Service was pretty good, but housekeeping could be improved in my opinion Breakfast was pretty standard, unfortunately the pancake machine was out of order while we were there

Biggest complaint is the need for your key card to be in the slot outside the bathroom to make the light and outlets work They’re trying to be “green” which I appreciate, but really is more of a hassle for guests

Kimberly Arreola

Upon arriving to our room, the first thing we noticed was that our bed was not made We then checked the sheets, which were stained Management was helpful and switched our rooms right away

Our second room had stains everywhere, including the sheets, headboard, and the comforter Once again, management was helpful and sent a complaint to housekeeping The housekeeping manager brought us new sheets, but not a comforter We asked for a new comforter and we never received one We slept without a blanket We also saw four different pests, which we took care of ourselves On the positive side, the breakfast was very good, management was helpful, and the location of the hotel is convenient

Angie Partin

The staff who checked us in was amazing and very helpfulBreakfast was great!Beds were comfortable and the room was cleanVery reasonable prices for Spring break weekend

I would definitely stay here again

While visiting KC for a conference all flights were cancelled due to weather so we booked rooms at the Marriott for the night When we arrived we were about 30 people deep in line waiting to check in There was one staff member working at the time due to transition of schedules and I will admit this was one of the best customer service experiences my group received

The woman at the front desk and subsequent male employee were efficient and communicative while checking in the waiting line While there were not enough rooms ready at the time, this was told to us waiting in line Each guest was asked to provide the booking name and phone number and we were called when an available room was ready for us While waiting we went over to the bar to have dinner and drinks where 1 member of the Marriott team was running the entire space He was great and everyone was very understanding In light of the unexpected circumstances due to weather and all flights being grounded at MCI, this team truly held it together and put the guests first I would stay here again in a heartbeat A team that works well under pressure, despite obvious frustrations deserves the utmost kudos Thank you Marriott MCI airport team!

Brendan’s 11u hitting drills That will help

Pretty decent stay, but you should hire people to guard the fire alarms On my first night, there was two that were false and mad it hard to sleep I was here for a baseball tournament last year and was really awesome, however, this weekend was worse

Also the pancakes were really mushy and soggy It’s really nice but I suggest a little bit of change for next year is I ever come back Not the greatest experience But there is one more thing, the elevators are quick and get to where you need to be in a short amount of time The staff were friendly and has a great environment I hope there is change but not muchPs maybe make the pool warmer too, it’s pretty cold for the kids and there is never a lot of people in there Thanks for letting us stay with you guys, and have a great summer!

Total rip off Over-priced compared to other (much nicer) hotels in the general area Nothing except the airport is close to this location

Rooms are fine, bathrooms are terrible Showers leak toilet barely flushes The decorators tried to be cute putting a sliding barn door on the bathroom but the result is a door that doesn’t close all the way, providing less than total privacyWent to use wash machine on the 8th floor to wash kid’s baseball uniforms and I put the clothes, soap and money in the machine only for the machine to start and then show an error message and stop working Lady at the front desk says maintenance man won’t do anything to help and I need to call a (completely non-existent) phone number on the wash machine to trouble shoot the machine myself and be reimbursed my $175In addition, the elevators glitch and get stuck and room fridge barely keeps anything even slightly cool Ice machine by the lobby also never had ice and the bartender was massively rude to two different people picking up their take out ordersHotel stay does not include any sort of free breakfast and complimentary luke-warm coffee is only available in the lobby between 4:30am and 6:30am (or until gone) How niceI never write reviews but I have never seen so disappointed by so many things with a hotel stay I would never recommend this location to anyone Extremely disappointed

This hotel is very clean My family and I were traveling to Kansas City for a short weekend trip for Spring Break We were so happy with this hotel

The employees were wonderful and accommodating The room we had was immaculately clean I felt comfortable allowing my baby to crawl around the floor The pool is nice and clean The breakfast was decent It didn’t have a lot of the typical hotel breakfast items like biscuits/gravy, eggs & sausage, but there was plenty of other options The only issue we had the entire stay was our keys didn’t work properly a lot of the time But overall this hotel is excellent and in a good area in town We would definitely stay here again Definitely recommend!!

Steve Roberts

This is a great hotel for long or short stays Highly recommended for you! They’ve done a lot of things right: used green concepts when building hotel (example , many textiles are from recycled materials & pool uses natural ingredients rather than chemicals); pet friendly (for a fee); if you download Hilton App you can check-in & check-out online, get a digital key sent to the app that opens your room & all hotel entrances You don’t ever have to go to the front desk if you don’t want! Love it! Rooms were modern with refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, & dishes so you can make & eat meals in your room

The curtain next to bed blocks light from appliances (great idea!) Rooms have a dual shade with room darkening shade in metal tracks to block out all outside light (nice touch!) Free breakfast buffet was varied & tasty Pool & Exercise Center are top notch There are washers & dryers plus a laundry sort/fold area in the gym Between laundry & gym are rocking chairs & TV if you want to relax rather than workout while doing laundry Staff were very friendly & helpful We’ve stayed here twice for a week each time & will definitely come back

N L

We got there pretty late The person at the front desk was very nice and brought us extra blanket and sheets since we were using the pull out bed The hotel smelled horrible as we went down the hall way to the elevator, that even my 5 year old was complaining about the smell

! Everything seemed pretty good in the room until I slept on the bed The bed was very hard and the pillows were uncomfortable Didn’t have a good sleep but it was only for one night so I let it go I get in the bathtub to take a shower the next morning, go to squeeze the shower gelno shower gel The shower gel was never filled Completely empty! I did not bring anything since I know Home 2 Suites usually supply it I had to use my children’s body wash!! Then we head down to breakfast The person restocking the breakfast had such a bad attitude She would roll her eyes at everyone that asked her something She did not restock everything! The apple jack type cereal was never refilled!! No orange juice and no ketchup The breakfast was horrible I usually have a good experience when I stay at these hotels but this time it was horrible! I paid $200 to stay here and it was definitely not work the $200!!!

One of the closest hotels to KC Airport A little dated but well maintained Executive king suite had a large desk and nice sofa

Good lighting throughout the room Plenty of AC outlets but no USB Large closet and dresser Good sized TV visible from the desk and the sleeping area Nice breakfast with hot food, waffles, yogurt, cold selections Close to the freeway but my room was on the side not facing the freeway and pretty quiet Lots of parking Shuttle runs from 4a to midnight every 20 minutes If arriving after 6p call to request a pickup Only a 10 minute ride from the terminal Overall a nice stay even though short

S M

Great for the three nights we stayed here Friendly staff and helpful Good hot breakfast! Everything was well stocked when we were there

The employee did great restocking items and cleaning spills Clean hotel with hand sanitizer stations that were filled Clean exterior Large smart TV with Netflix/YouTube Further than we wanted to stay ( gas mileage wise ), because so many hotels were booked or too expensive Cons: bed was not comfortable in my opinion, room/ lobby is smaller than expected, the room chair next to the bed probably needs to be deep cleaned ( it caused my child to feel itchy ) and found one strand of hair on the upper shower wall when we arrived Other than that the room was clean No stains or rips on the bed linens and towelsFamily of four – I give it 3 1/2 stars

Ashley Brook

It was a very nice hotel to stay at The room was nice and laid out The bed was nice and comfortable, and plenty of pillows

There was air conditioning, which also doubles as a heater during colder days The bath was nice, with a shower option; water was nice and warm Plenty of storage space for clothing and accessories; with draws and hangers used for storage The pool is nice and big; with a lift if needed Breakfast wise there is a good selection available, with a few hot items, and plenty of cereal, fruit and yogurts They have tea and coffee options, with apple and orange juice, as additional options There is a small shop found in the lobby, selling a few snacks, and simple dinners

Brian Cultivating Minds

I was going to give 3 stars but there is a young man named Will at the front desk that made me give the full 5 Will was better at guest relations than the 500 dollar a night hotel we stayed at The bad: stayed in deluxe cabin the toilet would hardly take the water down and neither would the shower

Short staffed like everybody Bring towels bed sheets rags (for when the toilet malfunctions) The good: pretty clean pool and cabins and facilities Nice newer playgrounds Relaxed rules Golf cart rentals Fishing was great at there lake across the street Animal friendly

Zachary Stone

Beautiful area for sure We utilized the RV spot It was spacious and well kept

The gentleman that escorted us to our site was awesome He was able to answer all our questions Ever time he drove by he waved and made sure we were doing okay We had a deluxe spot right next to an upper trail It was a beautiful very easy walk The fire flys at night were fun to watch The place quiets down at night I slept really good Check this place out It is a great place to get away

Hotel is in a nice part of town, conveniently located Felt safe Honestly I’d call this review a 35

The hotel lobby was so nice, throughout the hotel was clean Pool was nice and kid friendly! The fitness center was underwhelming compared to other La Quinta’s we had been in, and about half of the equipment was broken/damaged The room was nice in appearance and clean, but smelled like other pets when we arrived Front desk staff when I called for the reservation wasn’t the best customer service, but after we arrived the experience was pleasant

Anna and Bradley Lane

I chose his hotel because I frequently stay at La Quinta‘s, and this is close to the airport for my 6 AM flight I was pleasantly surprised with the updated lobby, cleanliness, easy check-in experience The staff was gracious, warm, and very accommodating – Even when I checked in at 9 PM

The hotel and parking lot seemed very secureMy room was updated with nice finished, very comfortable, and quiet Those are the things I ask especially before traveling for work I will absolutely stay again

Stevana Clark

Rooms were good and clean, comfortable beds, only issue was that it was hot and the a/c didn’t work well at all Pool was nice but they shut off the lights at 9:20 and the pool wasn’t supposed to close until 10pm Wasn’t a fan of there only being one entrance into the hotel

Breakfast was inedible We ended up going somewhere else to eat Will stay somewhere else on our next visit to Kansas City

Wonderful & Safe stay with our towed car and trailer full of stuffWe stayed here on our road trip from Atlanta to Salt Lake City We were moving our son with his car and belongings So we were leery to stay just anywhere hearing all the stories of people’s stuff all getting stolen

We asked the hotel staff if we could park our truck and trailer and stuff in front of the hotel and they were very cooperative and allowed us This kept our stuff safe The room itself was clean, spacious and very comfortable The beds are amazing even their sofa bed was comfortable The breakfast in the morning was ample and very delicious – they even had little quiches Everything was perfect! Would definitely recommend this hotel

JOAN TREIBITZ

We checked in on line two days earlier but when we arrived at around 5:30 pm we were told our room was blocked for us but never cleaned Front desk clerk tried to find us another room but nothing was available She called the manager and they suggested they assist us in getting a room at another Marriott in the opposite direction we were traveling

We declined since we had been traveling for over 9 hours already Manager was going to get room cleaned and told us to go have dinner while they did When we returned we had to wait a few minutes longer until the room was available On another note when we booked this hotel we didn’t notice that there was an amusement park across from the hotel It was the weekend and hotel was packed with kids! They were all over touching everything and going wild in the pool They were having fun but not relaxing for us seniors

Wendy G

This was very 1st time that I’ve walked in2 a hotel room, where I did not feel the need to wipe down the room There was no smell

the room was awesome!!Some hotel are clean, but not clean enoughI didn’t feel like I had to burn my clothes if something fell on the floorOverall, If you stay I don’t think you will be disappointed, besides as a bonus there’s always the amusement park across the way 🤗!!!

Room had a weird musty smell, breakfast was trash, and the hot tub was not hot, or clean The pool is super small When i voice concerns about the hot tub not being hot, was told “sorry it isn’t up to your standards” snottily from the woman working the front desk

Had to pay a whole day even though i checked out 2 hours late I understand if you checkout late you need to pay, but i was checking out because the hotel was a dump i wasn’t late i was dissatisfied Short story long just don’t stay somewhere else We’re now at the Embassy Suites for about the same price

Today I experienced possibly the worst experience you can have with a hotel My wife works for Marriott and we booked five rooms around 2 months ago Marriott has a deal where you can get an associate rate for your spouse and for your parents

You can also book for your friends and family that are traveling with you for additional rooms at a little higher rate but lower than full price Sometime during our 6-hour journey to the hotel today, the general manager (Susan Little) called and left a voicemail that they could not honor the rates that were booked online I guess they had no time to notify us in the previous 60 days? Since she did very little to try to help us out today I now I can understand her last name Anyhow, when we got there she said the policy only allowed us to get two rooms and I said the policy said we could get two rooms at the associate rate and additional rooms for immediate family at the friends rate She said she had worked there for 10 years and knew the policy backwards and forwards and I was wrong and she was only going to give me two rooms at the associate rate and the rest would be $50 higher than what was booked My wife then went on to the Marriott website and signed in and print it off the sheet that shows the rate details which said as an associate you could get two rooms and additional rooms would be at the friends and family rate The general manager was then upset because I proved he wrong and she said she would not honor the friends and family rate I then asked for the phone number to corporate so I could call in a complaint after which the general manager, Susan Little, decided to cancel all of the rooms and now we had no rooms available to us We then went over to the Hampton across the street and after explaining Fairfield’s terrible customer service and treatment we received Hampton gave us a lower rate beating the Fairfield Inn associate rate which ended up being a much nicer hotel than the Fairfield Inn I would definitely check out the Hampton before checking in to the Fairfield inn And after this experience I will not be coming back to the Fairfield inn and suites by Marriott at Kansas City anytime in the future Attached is the policy so decide for yourself about the policy

What a great stay at this hotel! Staff were very nice and helpful The rooms and overall appearance of the hotel was nice and clean This establishment utilized their space well and thought of everything in regards to your needs

It has a safe, a nice wardrobe, and a great bench for holding suitcases as opposed to placing them on the floor I like that they didn’t have the tiny shampoos and conditioners, since I find them to be wasteful My husband loved the complimentary breakfast, they have quite the spread

Pool was an excellent temperature, even being an indoor and outdoor pool The hot tub was very relaxing even though it took us a minute to find the button for the jets The outside bit of the pool at night was magical, very peaceful

The rooms had very comfortable beds and a smart bathroom design The breakfast was delicious and there were so many options The breakfast included oatmeal that was made in a big pot instead of offering small packets of instant oatmeal which I enjoyed dry much Normally at hotels the biscuits for the biscuits and gravy are dry, but these biscuits were very moist and not dry and crumbly at all! The staff were very friendly and kind The location was so perfect, I thought there might be an issue sleeping because it said it was next to an airport but there were absolutely no problems with noise I would gladly stay again!!!

Quite, understated utilitarian elegance, cleanliness experienced not many other places, friendliness that is not a facade The material structure of my room ( masonry walls not stud and sheet rock, dampened noise from the airport) with poured concrete floors gave reassurances to a restful night’s sleep The decor in a spartan understated elegance gives way to a comfortable stay

I have experienced both the poor lodgings and being the poor quest and giving this establishment a poor rating would fall back on meThe amenities provided along with the meal are to be appreciated My compliments to both the local management but also corporate for insight and perseverance

We were in KC for a reunion of my husband’s army buddies Our friends booked our room and theirs for a 3 day stay Our friends flight got canceled so they couldn’t make it

We still had another couple we were getting together with but they were staying at a different hotel As I just had knee surgery I had called the hotel and asked for a disability room, with grab bars for the toilet and walk in shower We checked in and the first room we were given had a toilet with grab bars but instead of a walk in shower it had a bathtub Now how is a person in a wheelchair going to use a bathtub? My husband spoke to the front desk so the next room we got had a walk in shower but no grab bars for the toilet, so in other words not a disability room In speaking to the front desk they said they didn’t have a disability room So we ended up staying overnight I twisted my knee wrong trying to use the toilet We ended up checking out the next day Ridiculous holiday Inn can’t accommodate a person with disabilities! Especially when I called to make sure they could accommodate me

Don’t stay hereRooms have had the problems painted over They call that renovation

Air conditioning barely functioned Room was dirty, pillows smelled like BO The hotel is trying to be a long term parking facility, so enjoy dragging your baggage across the parking lotThe cold shower topped it all off Avoid like the plague

Very disappointed with level of treatment as I checkin to hotelThe restaurant called Burger Theory was the worst service – they should not have table seating if there not going to service customer -left went down the road for a burger insteadOverall for Wednesday low volume check-ins scary times for the level of hospitality that should be given to all guests traveling

Travel weekly for my company IHG was pretty good but over last 5 years I’m going back to Hilton or other options that I have

Found this quiet hotel kinda by accident Rooms are stylish and clean Every room in the entire complex are suites, I’m guessing different room sizes and layouts

An unexpected perk was all rooms have a door that opens up with a small balcony to stick your head out or let fresh air in Has a full kitchen with utensils We just stayed one night and didn’t use the kitchen but to keep in mind for another stay Overall great experience for a very reasonable price Update one day later: after the general manager sent me an email thanking me for my comments today I started reading some of the negative reviews The wife and I over 45 years of marriage have stayed in hundreds of hotels over the years I’ll just give my opinion of one of the negative reviews They stated the room was too small for 5 people? Really, 5 people? Show me any hotel single room that would really be big enough Perhaps they should have gotten two adjoining rooms Like purchasing anything, do your homework Let’s just say our stay could not have been any better for three times the price You will not be disappointed

I enjoyed my stay at Homewood Suites I’ve been to a few extended stay hotels, but none of them allowed pets to stayThe kitchen was a dream made true with pots, pans and all the essentials

Having a refrigerator that included a good size freezer, a large microwave and a stovetop, but I’ve never seen one with a dishwasher It was so nice Many good establishments delivered as wellPlus it had a sitting area in front of a door you could choose to open for fresh air A full king bed, with a closet all the essentials to be home away from home I believe the saying isThe continental breakfast was what I expected, and the staff were all nice I would suggest this place for sure

Probably the worst hotel we have stayed in in Kansas City We needed a room that was large enough to entertain five people so we asked for their largest room they informed us all rooms are the same got to the room and it was a sardine can (so small) So I told the front desk my dilemma and ask them if they had a meeting room we could use for a couple hours

They started off by saying the meeting rooms were reserved for the next day and I told them I needed it for that night So they asked the manager and he lied and said they rooms were booked Looked in later they were empty Went out to get food later came back the police had the driveway blocked something was going on in the hotel with the police Do not recommend staying at this place
