The hotel and rooms were pretty dated and the hallways and carpet had definitely seen better days – Smelled like a frat house on Sunday morning when you got off the elevator Our room wasn’t much better but the linens and towels were clean Bathroom and furniture were filthy in our suite

We were moved to a different room that was slightly better Staff was excellent and very helpful all around Housekeeping was very attentive and polite to guests The lobby and breakfast / bar area was very nice and had a wide variety of coffee drinks and breakfast options Pool area was a highlight here clean and spacious We used the hot tub and pool daily Would go back but hopefully corporate does something about the overall condition of the rooms , furniture and common areas (aside from the lobby and pool) Again, staff and Housekeeping were amazing and the only reason I would returnThanks to them

This hotel has the appeal of a tomb LED lights would help this hotel out immensely The lobby was nice and inviting so I was surprised to get out of the elevator and be immediately transported to the reptile house at the zoo

Minus the reptiles, our room was dank and dark and smelled weird It was like a musty-feet smell We stayed at several hotels on this vacation and this was the only one I said, “cancel tomorrow’s reservation, I can’t stay here” I don’t mind old as long as it’s updated and clean This place just creeped me out Maybe since the lobby was nice and bright they are slowly renovating the hotel, but it would have been nice to have seen signs of that Staff was nice and pleasant

Hanging with the Coopers

The hotel is dated The toilet in our room had low pressure and didn’t flush well The front desk and the rest of the staff were very accommodating and kind with the exception of the manager at the front desk

He may be the GM as well We had a really good rate and I believe because of that he gave us a room on the lowest floor at the very end of the hall despite my husband’s Gold status They have pool security on duty and I understand the need for him as locals probably abuse pool privileges, but we were told we could only have 6 guests in the pool area including room guest We had not been home to Florida in 3 years due to Covid so family wanted to come see us and with it being so hot and us staying at a hotel, we invited them to come see us at the pool There were only 8 people at the pool when we got there and within 30 minutes they were all gone before the rest of our family arrived We had maybe 14 people show up, mostly siblings with their kids and we were told we had to leave or book extra rooms We’ve always stayed at this hotel and had similar number of guests and NEVER had any issues Maybe they thought we were going to have a party, I’m not sure, but that wasn’t the intention and I didn’t like the way they treated us especially as paying guests I explained that we were home for the holiday and we hadn’t seen each other in years so meeting up at pool would be fun for everyone and we would be respectful of others They didn’t care and said it was against their policy for me to have more than 6 guests I asked to see the policy, but they couldn’t produce one I didn’t argue We all left We finished out our stay, but I will never stay there again They are not family friendly, unreasonable and uncompromising

Stay was great! Service was great! Friendly staff was great! Clean rooms! The Manager David was a star Great customer service very attentive and quick to help with whatever you need Location is not far from main attractions and low traffic so big plus there

We enjoyed our stay and will be back at this hotel next time we are in Sarasota

KAM

Edit to add: David Alexander the GM may want to stop making slanderous remarks This is my account – I posted my honest review!!! You and your employees have HORRIBLE customer service!! Once again

video will show there was no disruption at your hotel but will show your crazy behavior!! Stop being a bully!!! The owners of this property should be ashamed to have you as the GM!! You are showing your true colors by your slanderous responses to my review!! This is my account!! No one has made any false accounts Your accusations of such are disgusting!!Nothing about my review is false You have horrible customer service I don’t need to complete a stay at your hotel for me to write a review on my personal experience I was not disruptive and there is video proof of that You threatened to have me removed but I calmly left your hotel with no issues Your staff is poorly trained in customer service The GM David Alexander was very unprofessional in his dealings with me I have every right to post my honest opinion on my experience with the staff at this hotel If you don’t like what I have to write then you should have treated me with more respect!! If other people have posted bad reviews that has nothing to do with me This is my review and I stand by it!!

Joel Appel

I can no longer, in good conscience, continue to recommend this hotel Their customer relations are non-existent and the General Manager makes false accusations I would tell you that there are several nearby hotels with comparable or perhaps even lower rates

I myself suggest trying the Hilton Garden Inn by the Sarasota Airport They have excellent customer support and will go out of their way to accommodate you Additionally, this Hilton gets 5 stars for cleanliness

This was my first time to the Gulf of Mexico ! I’ve been to many different destinations both in the US and outside of the country and this is absolutely one of the most beautiful places I think I’ve ever stayed at and have been to! The condo was perfect for my boyfriend and I and the sunsets were epic as well as the customer service ! Highly recommended, slice of paradise 🙂 !

Stephanie Thompson

I had booked this hotel due to how peacefully relaxing it looked Due to unforeseen circumstances I had to cancel my reservations I had made that is 3 months in advance to my date that I had reservations for and as the hotels website says, you get a full refund if canceled in 61 days However I never gotten my full refund despite what the cancellation policy on the website says

Not only did I not get my refund it took me at the most 2 days to even get in contact with someone to talk to about this Sadly disappointed!!!

I’m not one to leave reviews but when a location is so nice and the staff so welcoming I always make sure to do so The location is darling, the atmosphere so peaceful and the views are breathtakingOne thing I do want to say is that the staff are great and honest people, I mistakenly left my charger (with my Apple Watch attached) in the room after I checked out and the staff was so kind to call me and let me know

Which gave me time to return and retrieve them Truly I am thankful for such true and honest staff! Thanks for making my stay peaceful

Tiffany Crews

This is my 4th stay here at this hotel I’ve stayed 4 days/3 nights each week Kira has been beyond phenomenal with her customer service skills! Every question I’ve had she has found an answer

Each room has has been cleaned to expectation and each bed has been comfortable to sleep on Very inviting hotel with an easy check-in process I travel for work so these are a couple of things that are very important to me

Georganne Voyles

Awesome location, and the room was clean and modern However

the pool was grossly inadequate in size based on the size of the hotel, with five (yes, FIVE) total lounge chairs that guests were literally fighting over The pool water was really dirty, gross No hot water in the shower, the room lock was not functioning properly and we had to lock and unlock the interior about five times before it would work No towels in the gym, no towels at the pool, and the second floor elevator would not go down (you had to push the up button, then get in the elevator, then push down) The breakfast hot food was cold, and the room AC was really noisy I regularly stay at Marriott for branding, but this visit overall was really disappointing

The Right Honorable Daniel Berulis

Staff is amazing The night crew in particular They went well out of their way to help accommodate an error in booking and made sure I felt valued and important as Marriott customer

Whoever runs this location must truly pick out the best of the best for employees and the whole place was immaculately clean Even the cleaning staff were overly polite and courteous , they held the elevator for me and then insisted that I take it and they would wait, as well as opening doors for me everywhere I went This was an amazing experience and should be a five-star hotel

Alize Shrue

My stay at the courtyard was a work trip The staff was mostly friendly except the restaurant/bartender she seemed annoyed with her job The room was clean, basic amenities and basic television , maybe 20 channels

Also there were spiders and ants present and I did get bit a couple times ! The housekeepers were nice It’s in a good location to get to the beach abs other things

Jose Meraz

My Stay was excellent I was visiting Sarasota for a vacation and I have to say that it was a beautiful hotel, pool was great, and let me tell you the jacuzzi was great as well I read some comments on here about not having enough towels but that is not true they do have enough towels and staff was really friendly too

I am from California so the temperature of the room was great I also would love to stay again at this hotel in the future because I really loved Sarasota

kira simring

This is fun hotel with a wonderful staff It has a youth hostel vibe but it’s great for families The beds are very comfortable and the decor is wonderfully playful

The one problem with the room is that space efficiency comes at the cost of privacy There’s a sliding door between the toilet and the shower so you can only close one at the time! The lobby has excellent snacks and a coffee bar

She was awesome too the whole week we were there! I would definitely recommend this place Only downfall we had was the AC in our room didnt get cold enough but we bought a fan and that fixed that one and only issue! Loved it here Thank you for making out vacation so amazing!

When checking into a hotel, I am very picky I work at a Marriott property After reading the reviews at this property and seeing the photos online I decided to give it a shot, and we couldn’t be happier!! This property gave such a cute boutique hotel vibe

Rooms were clean, beds were comfortable, good quality linens, etc Pool area was clean, hotel provided towels, tiki hut had good drinks and upon checking we received 2 complimentary Staff and management was friendly, helpful, professional, and extremely responsive to any requests Definitely recommend staying at the golden host if you are looking for something affordable, clean, comfortable and central to everything 5/5 stars

Shawna Taylor

Joe Klapperich

This place was absolutely AMAZING Older? sure

undergoing renovations? Absolutely The room was spacious, updated, pristine and wonderful Check in was effortless Tiki bar was VERY nice, bar tender was friendly and prices were more than reasonableONLY ISSUE – this is a VERY INEXPENSIVE place where you are getting MORE than double your money as an experience HOWEVER – this ALSO means that the “Riff Raff” chooses tom stay there Persons can be friendly, or rude We found 80% friendly, the other 20% wanted to ENSURE that everyone know they were there, they were visible, and that they didn’t care what ANYONE else thoughtManagement did the best they could, but in the end – not a whole lot they could doWould we stay again? 100% yes! Will be our “go to” next time

Absolutely loved the Tradewins Resort Our first Air BNB was infested with mold, so we were calling around and got this place The staff were so helpful and tried their very best to get us a cottage to stay in

The fact that some of the cottages are pet friendly as well really helped us with our situation We stayed in Cottage 25 and it was beautiful Granite counter tops, super clean, comfy bed, and across the street from the beach Our dog felt at home and there was plenty of grass behind the cottage to let him out We stayed for 5 nights and overall it was a fantastic experience Shoutout to the sweet lady who checked us in on 06/27, she was so kind and helpful I would 100% recommend this place to a small family or couple!

belmi peguero

Cottage #28 is full of roaches! There is a big infestation of them The manager was able to move me to another cottage At first the manager informed me I had the option of checking out but with no refund

This was during July 4th weekend when my family and I were booked to stay 2 nights I was switched to Deluxe North cottage which was very clean

Michael Nuttall

My wife and I came down for a maternity photoshoot on the beach And we stayed here and I must say the front desk staff were absolutely professional extremely helpful let us check in early without any hassle The rooms were very clean, they also have everything stocked if you need to cook anything

They also have Beach floats and everything located by the check-in office And they also provide beach chairs and beach towels Also they have a really nice pool with clean bathrooms located off the pool And if you do find yourself there early you can always Park by the pool and change and they are restrooms and they will send you a message or give you a phone call when your room becomes available like they did for us Overall I must say it was a fantastic weekend and we will definitely be back and I would like to thank all the staff for wonderful job that they did

We just returned from a 3 day vacation at Zota Beach resort! We had a great time and this hotel was top notch Very convenient with valet parking, staff was very friendly each time we left or arrived back with our vehicle The room was spacious and very modern, comfortable bed, & spacious patio

Beach access was convenient and we enjoyed having complimentary beach chairs with our room, very nice pool & hot tub area The on sight restaurant was pricey but food was very worth it, our waitress was very friendly Bar has some delicious house drinks, also a friendly bartender that is very attentive We had a great experience and will definitely be returning for future vacations The room was on the pricey side but overall very worth it for the experience and location!

Bella Babylon

Loved staying here at this hotel for my birthday weekend/Memorial Day weekend We booked a premium ocean view room at the newer Opal building (built in 2017) The ocean view room has a view to the pool and the beach

If you want a full-blown oceanfront, you need to get a Ocean front room Next door was construction but I didn’t hear any noises The service was wonderful Dan the Concierge was amazing He was so helpful He even helped my husband plan a birthday surprise for me and he had a scented candle from the hotel as a gift for me The service was great at breakfast and dinner The pool was very nice with games for kids There is a direct access to the beach 2 beach chair are included in your hotel stay and you can rent an umbrella for $20

Brenda Fikry

Overall great hotel, amazing pool on a fabulous quite beach Welcoming staff Dislike how you pay premium prices for your room and on top of it a resort fee that does not even include a beach umbrella

The pool can get very busy on weekends with LOTS of high energy children A family friendly place for sure if that is what you are looking for!

This is a beautiful secluded spot perfect for a romantic getaway or some time to unplug and unwind The setting is unique and the grounds offer many adorable places to spend time together or swing and read a book Breakfast is amazing and you 100% need to RSVP and take advantage of that! It does not have some of the conveniences that many are used to (individual temp control of the room, hair dryer, hooks and hangers

but it’s a perfect place to enjoy if you don’t need those things It was perfect for our honeymoon stay 😀

Xion Pentagast

My girlfriend and I came here for a romantic getaway, and we could not have been happier! The staff was helpful and friendly making sure we were able to relax and enjoy our getaway from our busy lives The food was delicious and really healthy I’ve stayed at a lot of fancy hotels and you always end up feeling like just another person but here we left feeling like family

Stayed in a two bedroom suite during peak spring break season

the rooms were spotless and clean, the service was good The sofa vinyl was peeling, but not a big deal We heard talking and running about on all sides, the dishwasher is about as loud a train engine, and the breakfast was worth avoiding The pool has what looks like a water jet, but it was suctioning water in and I found that out just a little late after brushing against it with an immediate bruise to show for it I was told there was a tennis court, but it is only an activities court I expected a lot more for the price, but the location was good so maybe that’s why it cost plenty

Dianne Mowat

Came with my Dragon Boat club for the World Club Crews in July 2022 Cannot overstate how incredible the staff were…always so accommodating to our teams The facility was just perfect for us! Being able to make meals, use the barbecue, gym, pool and outdoor space to stretch kept us race ready! Oh yes our club came away with 12 gold medals! 😊

Radwa Mohamed

They canceled our reservation on their own that we paid for in full through Priceline We called the day of the check in and explained to them that our flight is canceled due to weather condition and we will have to drive to Florida They said no problem, get here whenever you want

We get there the day after our check in time to be told that the hotel made a mistake and canceled our reservation because we did a no show The two ladies at the front desk from midnight and morning shifts were nice and tried to accommodate us but the morning manager was extremely unprofessional, rude, and wasn’t trying to do anything to fix the situation which she admitted it’s their fault We were refunded by Priceline, but the whole situation was inconvenient and stressful to have to find another hotel last minute Luckily we found another hotel where they appreciate their clients business and have more professionalism Never going to this hotel again!

Really nice hotel Being next to the airport I thought I would hear planes taking off frequently However, in my 2 nights I stayed there I only heard 1 plane take off near the hotel and it was in the morning

They had a dishwasher, microwave, full size fridge and dishes They also had a grill by the pool Great option for families It was fairly new and very clean I would recommend this hotel for anyone

I love hotels with grills! This one didn’t disappoint If you have a vehicle this is a great place! Without a vehicle it’s a little remote but there is a restaurant and bar in the sister property behind The room was very clean and comfortable

The bed was comfortable as well The grill and grill set were well kept and helped me make some delicious “home” cooked meals The staff was super ni e and helpful as well I would definitely stay here again!

I love that as a Hilton honors member we get a $10 credit per person for breakfast, it’s the reason why I always book garden inn Breakfast was yummy and our server was absolutely wonderful, very friendly However I was a little surprised that they do not have any fresh fruit for the pancakes or French toast

The night time gentlemen at the check in desk was very kind and even helped to store some pies for us in the restaurant fridge until checkout Which meant so much to us, because they were for my mom, and I wouldn’t have been able to do that without him! All in all, the service here is fantastic and the employees really match the Hilton way by giving great service to their guests The pool is also a decent size, and gets lots of sunshine so it’s nice to lay out And it’s nice that they have brochures with all the things to do in the areaThe rooms however are a different story The beds are extremely uncomfortable, hard and old The room has a very clear musty odor as soon as you open the door (probably from the very old carpets and curtains getting stuff spilled on them over the years) There are no fans in the bathroom so pray nobody needs to go number two during your trip And the pillows under the cover are completely yellow The hotel needs a serious renovation, especially being in such an upscale town like Sarasota Being an airport hotel is not an exception, especially when there’s another newer Hilton in the same parking lot

The hotel is very spacious with nice modern decor The restaurant and bar had good food and drinks but only to go because they have no servers The pool is large and great for families

The staff were very nice and customer service oriented They have some cleaning and repair issues The grout in bathroom was moldy, stain in bathtub, wallpaper peeling and stained, carpet had dark spot needing cleaning Shower curtain is loose from wall Furniture needs touch up where it’s scratched up They made error on final bill that I caught when I was home They corrected it and got the $10 refunded

Booked this place because it is pet friendly and my family and I were traveling with my small dog Our stay was OK, nothing extraordinary but we did not book any extraordinary rooms I like that they do have a pool available

Only thing that we did not like is the welcome We booked online 2 rooms and when we arrived for check in, the guy only gave us one key We then realized that we booked for 2 rooms, went back and asked He said that since we didn’t say anything he didn’t know But don’t these people have a computer screen in front of them with all information? Like we were already charged for both rooms, but if we don’t say anything we don’t get both keys? Also, he didn’t ask Very sarcastic tone was given For a one night stay its fine but will look for something else if its for longer

I honestly don’t understand why this hotel has such a low rating (2 stars)

my mother and I stayed for 3 days and were very pleased with our accommodations The room was very clean and nicely decorated (even had DOVE toiletries available) the staff is friendly, and the continental breakfast was amazing!! Buffet style hot food was available such as eggs, bacon, sausage and even pancakes The only thing that I could complain about was the water pressure in the shower but hey, it really wasn’t that bad We will definitely stay here again!

This was our second time visiting this hotel with in a month Loved the location and rooms so much we came back with the kids However, this trip we had quite a few issues

Check in did not go smoothly, entry into room is by an electronic pad that you have to enter a code Codes didn’t work We along with almost every other guest and to call on multiple occasions to get into our rooms The pool pumps weren’t working so the pool water was a bit cloudy and the spa didn’t work at all Then the morning we were leaving we had a nice $75 ticket from the City of Bradenton Beach because our truck stuck out into the road The Suburban next to us also received a ticket The hotel needs to let guests know ahead of time to come in smaller vehicles or park somewhere else It wasn’t a great way to end the vacation I know the hotel is new and I hope they can work out the kinks I will definitely give it another try in the future and hope for a better experience

Pelican post uses a internet check in system So ready your email so you will know what your room number and access code is The landscaping and pool area are beautiful

Large pool with hot tub near by There is plenty of lounge chair to relax during the day or night so you can enjoy your surroundings The rooms are very clean and updated There’s near by restaurants and bars to keep your nights entertained Your about 500 feet from the Beautiful gulf coasthighly recommend

Our family of 5 loved this resort! It was family friendly and had a delicious hot breakfast included with our stay The pool was beautiful with fresh towels provided and access to lunch and dinner at a tiki bar and restaurant We loved being a short, 5 minute drive to the beach

The room was spacious and included a beautiful view of the bay with a gorgeous sunset Our favorite was the fresh coffee in the lobby in the mornings and fresh, filtered water infused with fruit in the afternoons/evenings We inhaled your fresh baked cookies too! We can’t wait to come back!

John Bauer

It was clean, beautiful and affordable but what made it exceptional was the staff They had the friendliest, most helpful employees I’ve ever dealt with at any hotel The view was amazing

It’s a short 5 min drive to the beach and the little things like water and cake in the lobby were a nice bonus too I would definitely recommend this hotel

Cassandra Rena

I have stayed on Anna Maria island many times over the years It was my 1st time staying here and I must say that the customer service was amazing!! Compared to everything else I’ve been experiencing over the last 2 or 3 years of travel this should be a standard that all places follow Everything was clean! Their breakfast was amazing! And changed daily

Hands down will stay at this location again Definitely worth the value The only downside is it’s not right on the beach but it is only 5 minutes away

This has been our favorite go to beach vacation spot in the last 3-4 years It is so convenient to the beach which is right across the street, they provide beach towels, chairs and umbrellas, and it is always well kept up with all the way around Nice quiet area but yet central to anything you need around you either in walking distance or by trolley

The rooms are great sized and has a full kitchen in the event you stay for longer than a few days it comes in handy to make your own breakfast/lunch/dinner The staff has always been very welcoming and friendly each visit Highly recommended this place if you are needing somewhere nice to stay for a few days or week

Amber McKinney

Staff was friendly the location is great and amenities were nice to have However we had issues with ants and bugs in unit We actually paid to sleep at a new hotel just off the island

We left our things in the main living room closed and any snacks we left in fridge and sealed up when we were not there We used the unit for the convince to visit the beach during the day and because we had already booked it We did let front desk know and they sent someone to spray but it did not help the issue We were just very vigilant with our things and our kids things to make sure we kept things closed A pain for sure to be worried about bugs/ants and the fear of bringing them back home and having the extra expenditure of a hotel at night was not ideal

A quiet little beach community right on the Gulf The motel facade is older but interior renovations are more modern Love that there is a pool area and instant access to the beach

Includes a grassy area that spans the length of the motel; picnic tables and lawn chairs for those who don’t want to be on the sand, but can still enjoy the view We thoroughly enjoyed our visit

Brandy Hogan

Only downside is the wifi It didn’t reach our room, and we were only 2 rooms down from the office Had to rely on very patchy cell signal

Other than that, we had a great time The pool area was great (even though it was closed near the end of our stay for “maintenance”) Can’t beat being steps from the beach The room (studio) was clean, the kitchen was updated with nice cabinetry, and although we didn’t cook there were plenty of tools to do so There was also a closet with beach chairs and an umbrella Loved the coffee shop across the street! They had fabulous breakfast sandwiches and a yummy breakfast pizza

Wendy Horrocks

They require wristbands for weekend stays, but pay no attention to them anyway Beach lounge chairs, umbrellas, waiter service is regularly provided to non-guests Oftenproviding service over providing service to guests

Lack of restaurant options for food, especially after 8 pm
