The staff and service were great and the location had an amazing amount of restaurants and stores located within walking distance The room was clean and the bed was comfortable Now for the negative, the place needs a serious overhaul

fresh paint and wall paper and maybe even carpet but at least clean the carpet When we were there they had at least floor three under some sort of construction (husband said fire sprinklers leaked and he is in construction but I’m not sure) Wall paper was ripped down in sections and the “baseboards” were rolled up in sections all down the hall I still could overlook ALL of that BUT the two of us did not get a hot shower in four days I didn’t even get enough hot water to wash my face the last day there The best I got was less then three minutes on one day and I washed the important parts quickly 😉 Just buyer bewaregreat location and staff but definitely room for improvement

Robin Thurner

The hotel was OK, we requested the 5th floor, the room itself was pretty nice Walking to my room from the elevator was not Wallpaper looked saggy and, like it was coming off, was very tacky

No water in the room for coffee Who uses tap water anymore? Then we went down to get our complimentary breakfast and was told we were not eligible because we’re not gold members We pretty much stayed at Hilton when possible; we never felt so uncomfortable as we did at this location

Chris Wainwright

I have stayed at this hotel previously and over the past couple of years it has become quickly run down Here are a few things I experienced:1 My digital key didn’t work and I had to lug all my luggage back downstairs to get a key card (person behind counter says “Ya, that happens a lot”)2

The hallway had baseboards ripped up and wires hanging out of the wall They are possibly fixing something but there was no work done for the week that I was there3 The shower was very dirty and covered in soap scum4 Lights were burned out and flickering5 The air conditioner made an incessant banging noise ALL NIGHT LONG My teammate said his AC was broken and there was flooding all over the floorI was miserable and likely will not stay there in the future and I wouldn’t recommend

We were in town for a memorial service, so we just needed some place safe to lay our heads for the night, and this hotel did the trick Easy access to/from I-5 and several restaurants nearbyInitially, there was a mix up with our room, as I booked an accessible room and the room we were assigned was not

Danielle was quick to fix that once it was brought to her attention The roll-in shower was great for my partner, who is in a wheelchairThe kids enjoyed their time at the pool & we all enjoyed how comfortable the beds were after such an emotionally draining day

James Stobaugh

I stayed here for one night, RM 218 July ‘22 The room was clean, the bed was very comfortable (queen)

Looks like most rooms have a balcony, I didn’t even use mine, but it looked nice The only draw back I had was most of the wall outlets were worn out and chargers would fall out very easily I reported it to the clerk and they said it would be fixed right away The staff were very friendly and accommodating Breakfast was great Eggs, potatoes, sausage for me I’ll definitely stay again next time I’m in town

Debbie Darnell

I am a straight shooter Here are the pros and cons Room was okay

Breakfast was the highlight of our stay Rooms need to be checked for maintenance repairs Our patio door on 1st floor had a broken lock mechanism and the tub stayed half filled when showering The biggest disappointment was that we chose this hotel because we wanted to use the pool Wellthe pool was filthy and we wouldn’t put our bodies in a dirty pool and one that, in turn, probably didn’t have the chlorine and other disease killing chemicals balanced (My husband is pool certified and he said the pH balance was off because the water was foggy There was dirt in the pool also) The person that checked me (male) in was very nice Not impressed with the young girl that checked us out Love that they were pet friendly For a premium priced hotel, I would have expected less discrepancies Saying someone is too busy to clean the pool is not acceptable especially when it may be one amenity that attracts a customer No military discount Where is your patriotism? Would I stay here again? No

Definitely older, and it shows Some of the guest rooms have been “kind of” updated, mine has modern art and headboard, a nice, new mattress and the typical flat screenBathroom fixtures and carpet are definitely not updated, but are functional

A/C works great, bed is very comfortableRoom has a fridge but no microwave, (kind of a bummer since I’m here on business for two weeks) but also kind of understandable because 1 People are rude and messy and 2 They have a restaurant they want you eating in!Restaurant food has been reeeaaalllyyy good the few times I’ve been in, wait and bar staff are friendly and attentiveFront desk staff are friendly and helpful A couple of days after check in, I had a maintenance issue I went and asked for it to be fixed the next morning, they had it done before I got back from dinnerRoom is spacious; outdoor pool and hot tub are empty during this time of year; there is a washer and dryer that look pretty cleanOverall a decent place, definitely not a sleek new hotel but clean and serviceable

J R

This was a last minute business trip, and I was pleasantly surprised that they had short notice availability for an affordable price When I arrived the woman who checked me in was quick, professional and friendly I was given a map to my room even

I noticed that this was an older hotel, definitely “vintage/out of date” but at the same time it was VERY clean, GREAT location and my room had a balcony right next to the river! I will definitely go back

B P

My friends said I should stay here so I did It’s a bit dated but the rooms are CLEAN especially the bathroom and the lighting in the bathroom was great, too! My room was on the water and I loved it (I’m a water girl)

The restaurant was great (limited menu due to remodeling)I had great comfort food The staff was nice and accommodating I wish I had known about them because I would have stayed here before Treat yourself and stay here especially on the water side

OMG, not sure why reviews are bad! We had a great stay! The only thing missing was the breakfast We got a double queen for us and the kids The room was very spacious! It had everything

Almost full kitchen Stove, huge fridge, kitchen counter, dishwasher (I think?), coffee pot, big bathroom, full closet, huge office desk It was affordable, nice and clean! I will definitely come back!

Sharon Khalsa

Such an awesome experience with this team and the hotel The kitchens made it wonderful and as long as you read the website and understand that it’s a long term stay type hotel, I wasn’t disappointed at all Also the prices were totally worth the value!Lesley the manager and her team are wonderful

I’ll definitely be staying again! Highly recommend

Emily Babcock

Really unsure how there are so many positive reviews, especially about cleanliness The hotel was filthy I wouldn’t let me dog sleep here

Loud sound of freeway from a previously smoked in room The stale cigarette smoke smell coupled with the uncleanliness was unbearable We got a refund and stayed elsewhere Front desk receptionist was great and understanding!

Room was cool

had the double beds which I didn’t like Hotel located next to plentiful restaurant optionsone of my favs being Jack in the Box Hotel IT was on point to getting my PS5 game system to work on the network, but the hotel cleaning crew was not up to par They did not clean my room a couple times when they were supposed to Plus they threw away my shoe inserts as they lay next to my shoes They had friendly staff All and all I ride with Marriott

Maxine Murray

Location, given a mobility room for no reason or explanation Room dark Ambience poor

Husband stays at a number of marriot hotels for business and this was by far the worstBreakfast included in price, very poor and confusing service No variety of choice and would describe as a fridge service in the foyer

Jarrett

Coffee in the lobby is not free They have a Starbucks which you have to pay for as well as paying for your breakfast and the options were limited I tried make coffee in the room since it’s not free in the lobby and the Keurig in the room was filthy, I don’t think it has ever been cleaned

Wasn’t a fan of the room layout The king beds face the windows and the tv is either on the left or the right side of you forcing you to lay awkwardly to watch tv

Would not recommend if you are hauling anything like a camper This is located downtown and parking is limited They have a diamond lot behind the hotel and We took up 5 spaces parking sideways

Also, not a deal breaker, but the doors in the rooms are sliding with no way to lock If you have kids under 3 they will be playing with them non stop It would be nice to lock the bathroom door to take a shower without interruption That being said, it is a brand new nice hotel Front desk staff was extremely nice Pool closes at midnight and they have a 24 hour gym Breakfast was great! Sausage, French toast, eggs and potatoes!

Forrest Copeland

We had a decent stay The rooms are renovated and the price was good but they seem to have opened up rooms without having fully refurnished them There were no lamps on the bedside tables! I have never come across a hotel without these

Also the bright white light bulbs in the floor lamp was annoyingly bright and cold Hotels usually use “warmer” bulbs to make it more cozy The counters were not wiped clean Overall the place had a sterile, not welcome feeling The hot breakfast was great! Good location

David Marshall

This was a very really nice hotel s friend of mine was staying at Really modern, cool design, clean inside and out Plenty of parking, a d the rooms were very clean and had a lot of really nice amenities in the rooms

Pretty big rooms too! It was a very nice hotel My friend said he was paying quite a bit of money though to stay there Probably, because of the big event happening in Eugene, Oregon? Which is why I only gave 3 stars Seems like ALL the hotels are jacking up their prices because of the big event that is bringing tons of people from all over the world here?! Not right

This hotel was AMAZING The staff is what won me over I was having a bad night and crying

I need to just get away for a bit I rolled up around midnight and JD at the front desk had such wonderful energy She was so kind and accommodating She asked if I was okay, and just talking to her turned my entire night around She helped me get the best rate possible with a huge room to accommodate me and my service animal The room was fantastic and clean! I will always recommend this hotel! I also own a business in the area and occasionally we will have guests here, I will now always book them at this hotel! I really can’t say enough kind things about JD! That woman is a blessing ❤️

Kimberly Nissinen

Great service here My only complaint is that they only have one pack and play and one high chair Pretty ridiculous when you have multiple families eating breakfast and you have to resort to baby eating on the floor

However the staff was super friendly and accommodating otherwise A sweet worker even sliced apples just for my kids and brought a warm damp cloth to wipe their hands

Melyssa Bushnell

The lady in charge of breakfast is hands down one of the biggest reasons that I love staying at this hotel She’s always so sweet and attentive, making sure everyone has what they need/want and she goes above and beyond for me& everyone I’ve seen her interact with She makes me feel right at home every morning

Can’t get much better than that Love her! ❤️❤️

Overall I would say that the Hotel is pretty good with excellent staff and rooms to the Fairfield Suites standard What disappointed me was that when we stayed there last October they had a waffle machine, eggs, and toast available for breakfast Apparently they removed these options from their offering

This Hotel, like most Marriott Properties are owned and managed by Franchisees I believe this one is owned by the Patels After my visit here, I stayed in a Fairfield Suites @ Dallas Fort Worth airport and they had all these amenities missing from Eugene I wonder whether Marriott has a standard for Breakfast and will follow with their corporate office to ask that question I think the Patels were looking for cost cutting despite a premium rate for their Hotel

ellena sanchez

The front desk customer service Will is very rude I asked to speak to a manager he did not help He atually started yelling at me saying I need to leave

I asked to document my accout to have the manager call me in the morning to ensure my check in went well As he told me that my card was declined I told Will that I should not be treated like this as a customer and that he was being rude He then continued to yell that I needed to leave As I was getting the managers card Will proceeded to tell and say is this the card number to charge? I walked away as being yelled at is not okay I still have no idea how my room was charged My company pays for the room and my card was soposted to be charged only for incendentals

Nicky Lovesartistry

Really nice place! Came to Eugene for a Tool concert and it was super close to Matthew Knight colosseum Super clean, shower was huge, and comfortable room Bed was a little hard but comfy pillows and clean linens

Didn’t have the breakfast but it looked amazing like fresh waffles and pastries and fruit, compared to some complimentary breakfast I’ve seen

Room is a bit dated and dark But the overall experience was wonderful The staff were excellent

Their attention to the customer is unsurpassed Must say we have never had hotel staff so attentive and polite in all our years of travelkudos to all of them The Trophy restaurant had good food and the atmosphere was nice Would have liked to see a full breakfast option instead of a grab and go This is a hotel that we will definitely stay in again!

Kirsten Alana Photography

I’m surprised by the few people who complain about the decor because I think it’s super fun and funky College-themed, yes Because that’s the theme of the brand!! While this is a USA-based chain, each location feels bespoke to the town it’s in; always a college town and therefore the decor reflects the locations

Eugene does this well without – I think – being kitschy It’s different, yes, but in a good way I particularly appreciate the level of craftsmanship that some of the decor represents like all the pencils that make up one wall in the coffee shop I stayed at the property for a conference and the only things I can find to complain about are the lack of coffee makers in the room and the small size of the pool relative to the size of the hotel It’s so small it could have just been a hot tub Feels an afterthought Otherwise, great stay!

Jamal Dygert

I’ve attended several conferences here and the experience is always pleasant The staff is great, the spaces are comfortable and the location is excellent! There are many nearby restaurants and activities in downtown Eugene and it is within 2 blocks of the train station Overall, a great venue for a conference or a weekend getaway with the family

The room was clean enough The bed was comfortable and not too high off the floor The bathtub could have been cleaner, but the whole experience was ruined by the odor

There was a heavy odor of a recent fire coming from the A/C It soon became over powering Had I not been so sick when I checked in, I would have changed rooms, instead I opened the window and ran ran A/C at near its lowest 60 degrees This kept the room cool This worked until an over powering odor of Kerosene filled the room sometime around the three am hour I was sick when we checked in due to a recent chemotherapy treatment, but my travel companion was not sick when got there, but because of the odors, she was sick when we left I recommend asking if the air conditioner has had recent work done It could have possibly been installed backwards Keep in mind other hotels are available just the next exit down I only stayed because I physically could not drive any further and my traveling companion only has a drivers permit They KNEW THIS ROOM WAS LIKE THISTHEY HAD TO KNOW ABOUT A RECENT FIRE, if they say they dont they are liars as well as manipulative A well person would never had stayed here

Matthew Hatfield

The company I work for rented a small conference room there So not an overnight stay The place was very well kept and clean

As for service we were there for 5rs including bathroom breaks and lunch and did not see any personnel Or guests Until we were leaving If I’m in the area I’d get a room here It’s quite clean And not crowded

VCJester

Expensive for what you get It has truck parking, the only real bonus for this hotelThe walls are paper thin, so if you enjoy listening to your neighbor deal with his irritable bowel symptoms in high definition, sign yourself up

Last night’s sleep had a crying baby on one side, a guy gaming with the tv cranked up on the other side, and a kid doing laps on the floor above me All for a low, low price of the most expensive hotel in the area This is what I get for needing truck parking

Absolutely wonderful service We got in a bit late but the staff was quick and courteous, getting us our room very quickly The room it self was beautiful, complete with an awesome electric fireplace, comfy beds and a huge bathroom

The location is right in the middle of downtown and is close to many shops and restaurants Asking for turn down service or anything you need like extra towels is so easy with in room tablet and the service was quick and efficient The staff was also very warm and welcoming and made out stay during Christmas a huge pleasure We look forward to staying here again

Lucinda Reed

My husband and I travel once a month for fun We decided to fly up and explore Oregon for a few weeks Thankfully, we only stayed here for a few nights of our journey

This is a fun little area to visit The food nearby is within walking distance and great The rooms were niceHowever, the staff is not the nicest The guys parking the cars are great They recommended excellent hiking spots The front-of-house people leave something to be desired and are extremely rude They wouldn’t answer questions They wouldn’t help point me in the direction to ask my questions about the services offered at the spa Their entire demeanor, attitude, and tone was unforgivably rudeWe will not be back I would rather spend our time and money traveling to other places, where people are happy to have us there The spas in Vegas are wonderful and always happy to help Never had a problem and they have a higher traffic volume

Sienna Chang

the staff were very friendly and polite someone came to help us with parking and luggage as soon as we arrived the front desk staff was friendly and even recommended places for us to eat since we arrived quite late

the area is great too, with little shops, restaurants, and an eatery the room was neat, clean, and cozy overall, it was a very pleasant stay! would come again 🙂

Staff was invariably friendly and helpful The breakfast staff kept everything clean, stocked, and moving even when the mid- morning rush hit The breakfast was tasty and comprehensive for a buffet

Plenty of options for anyone While we didn’t use the pool or fitness rooms, I did peek into each and they looked nice Our room was spacious and clean and only occasionally did we hear the upstairs neighbors, but not super loudThe *only* downside was the actual sleeping The sofa bed was quite uncomfortable, the queen that my husband I shared was just okay at best My daughter didn’t complain about hers, but I didn’t ask But worse than the beds was the “either frigid or stuffy” AC system We finally got it sort of in between about 1 or 2 AM, but it really interfered with our sleep (note: only true of my husband and I, because we had the bed right next to the unitthe kids didn’t complain, though my daughter would have liked it cooler We just couldn’t)I feel weird giving 4 stars for a bad nights sleep but I really liked so much about this place I had to

It’s really a good hotel for the price! The hotel was recently updated and it shows The hallways were wide and bright The rooms were well done: tiled entryway, good carpeting and cabinetry with a microwave and mini fridge

Rooms had a good design and layout The bathroom was nice Housekeeping did a good job as wellHad a good breakfast: sausages, scrabbled and hard-boiled eggs, waffles, cereal, juices and coffee/ tea I had to ask for the meat but they were friendly enoughThe only thing I didn’t like were the beds which were a bit old and saggy Not enough to take a star out though Good price, nice and well-kept hotel with friendly service

Good hotel with friendly staff Room was clean but the bathtub had obvious signs of wear and tearThe parking lot had quite a few transients walking around cars

The hotel did have security that did rounds in the parking lot

Good place to stay if you have petsOtherwise:Our room faced Coburg Road it was extremely noisy until late at night

The buildings are being remodeled The parking lot access was blocked on occasion by carpet workers cutting carpet in the parking lot drive access One time we were prevented from entering the parking lot by truck with a long trailer blocking the driveway and parking access Another time a worker blocked the lot access hitching a trailer to his pickup truckWhen we were leaving the hotel we found a number of piles of brown dust on the elevator floor, which we could not avoid stepping inThis by far the worst experience I have had staying at a Marriott facility

Wonderful stay at the Eugene Residence Inn The room was spacious and well kept Residence Inns in general are very nice to stay in

This is a great hotel with friendly staff and a very convenient location! The first room we had smelled like cleaned cigarette smoke so we asked for another room – the front desk worker was super friendly and had new room keys for us right away The new room was perfect for us and very cozy The location of the hotel is right next to the Alton Baker Park so you can walk a few feet outside of the hotel and go for a very nice walk along the water

We walked through the park to get to a few spots in downtown Eugene and had a wonderful time walking for hours every day The room was very clean and everything organized very well We also used the pool and spa which were both clean and towels well stocked Overall a very great stay and experience for us in Eugene Thanks so much!

Great location, I added a photo of the park across the river because from the front you have an amazing view of it, and it’s so convenient you can just walk right over and explore My room had a stove and dishwasher The only complaint I have is the breakfast, it’s the same at most hotels that offer it, but it would be nice to have some fruit or something healthy

Room 315 is also right next to the elevator and ice machine so if you don’t sleep well it’s not a good choice, people had no common courtesy even at midnight Overall I was very happy with my stay and the customer service was excellent I’d stay again

The location is great, the park across the street is easily accessible, and there is plenty of parking The staff has been very friendly The rooms are clean but outdated and have a funky smell but I figure that’s a given with older properties

Breakfast was not the best experience Some lady came in with her two beagles who were jumping up on the counters with their front paws It took staff some time to ask her to leave There is no oversight about who comes in or uses the breakfast bar, and it did not feel safe for me with my toddler Room service is only available every four days (this is during a post mandate stay on 4/25) Overall good place if on business trip and just needing a decent place to sleep

The location is great! Beautiful location! The rooms are a tad dated but they’re doing construction and they’re still in great shape! Very little noise pollution so sleeping is easy The bed was most comfortable as well Service was prompt and friendly

I am in a wheelchair and all through there isn’t a room there that was considered ADA, I read the specifications of the rooms and I was able to use my wheelchair no problem! I recommend this hotel too any one and we personally will be using this hotel!

The hotel lobby is very nice and clean I have stayed at Best Western in the past and the have all been very busy clean, light and bright This room was not that

It was dark, had a musty smell and the heat would was not automatic, it was on or off There were silverfish and spiders that we made the front desk aware of, and was told they would inform maintenance It was a place to sleep and had a good breakfast, but not at the same standards of the other Best Westerns for the price

Debi Ames

Clean, spacious, comfy beds, good shower head and pressure Very nice staff Hot breakfast better than any I’ve had in a long time

The food actually had flavor Roomy area so you can distance yourself Ours was only a late in/early out, so I can’t say more, but I’d stay again Oh, only drawback was you can’t make a left turn leaving or pulling in

I’ve been to several Tru hotels across the country and this one is clean and the service amazing I love how dog friendly they are But the location is kind of strange

No where to easily walk or to grab food from Overall though, for a quick stop through town while traveling, a clean room and great service outweighs the location for me

Small, but comfortable beds Clean, but minimalist room No coffee maker

Shower soap dispenser empty Open the door to leave and the bottom of the door has sharp steel piece on the bottom that cut and ruined my new Okuma shoe!!!Breakfast bar had no eggs, 15 min wait for eggs12900 for a night would have got me a great room at another chain hotel

Frank Bruner

Right from the start, staying here has been a great experience Not only was this hotel very reasonably priced with a great location, very clean rooms, comfortable beds and a very well lit parking lot with security cameras where we could actually see our vehicle from our upstairs window But the reception staff here are hands down the most wonderful hostesses that I’ve ever came across

I didn’t catch the name of the receptionist who greeted myself and my family but she checked us in early after I had drove all night to get to this location, gave us cold water bottles for being Honors members and told us about the free coffee, coco, tea or cider availableLater on, a very friendly receptionist named RayRay gave us more information about the hot breakfast I asked for her recommendation on the beers they have available Not only did RayRay give information but also offered to pay for the drink Later on I came down to purchase a second and my credit card was declined Without hesitation, she offered to pay again I told her no but she insistedI definitely recommend staying at Tru by Hilton to anyone coming to the Eugene/Springfield area and the hotel is truly lucky to have such wonderful staff
