Fantastic location Older motel setup, but has some updatesProsLocation is definitely the best part

Quick walk out to the beach, restaurants and shopsCheck in was very friendly and helpfulOur room was clean and comfortableCute beach themed updatesConsBathroom, sink area and beds were very smallTV is small and set too low to see comfortably if you are laying in bed

What is not to like? It is very reasonably priced, very clean, comfortable bed, and the location is excellent It is an easy walk over to the Beach Village My husband and I got an oceanside room and I like the layout – I am an early riser and the separate sitting room allowed me to get up and read the news sites while he could sleep in

The breakfast room is lovely with a fantastic ocean view to enjoy a hot breakfast And being an early riser, the fact that they start serving breakfast at 6:00 am meant I could get some coffee first thing This was my first trip to Jekyll Island and it is a peaceful place; I will visit again and when I do, you can be sure I will stay at Days Inn here

Angela Willis

Wonderful location! Common areas are beautiful, several cool spaces to spend time with a group: 2nd floor breakfast room has wrap around windows, same downstairs where games are available Two pools, hot tub and campfire areas all centrally located and well maintained Beach access a short boardwalk over the dunes

Rooms are older, but you aren’t staying here to spend time in your room right? Lots of stars at night compared to the suburbs

While the rooms are nice, and new, the customer service here is lacking and clearly not a priority for this hotel The worst Hilton experience we have had in terms of service— check in: Individual who checked us in was rude and short with us when we asked questions

— cleaning service: housekeeping refused to give a sense of what time they would clean even when we requested this to be able to be outside of the room In 5 nights saying we only received one full service clean At one point they clearly forgot our room in the middle— leaving trash and the bed halfway made When we came back it was too late to fix— sneaky charges : I see other people had this happen Watch out for sneaky charges on the room! We were told given Hilton status we would have food credit They retracted this statement at the end, charged us for food we thought would be credited, and on top of that were difficult and rude to interact with when trying to resolve the issue (See below person given a late check out then charged— similar situation here)— pool is closed — no notice about thatIt really is a shame because the rooms are nice, but these lack of caring about the customer made the experience a poor one

Nicole Lemcke

The housekeeping staff were the most inconsiderate I’ve ever experienced I was barged in on twice, they didn’t knock or announce themselves Luckily I had the door latch on so they weren’t able to open it much, but they didn’t even apologize

When they clean the rooms, they engaged the deadbolt so the door doesn’t close all the way but they constantly go in and out of each room and let the door slam as the grab supplies So if you weren’t already awake by 9am you will be Either way, you get to listen to the slamming doors for several hours I’ve always see housekeeping staff prop the door open with a door stop or their cart, never the deatbolt They yell down the hallway to each other and take personal phone calls with no consideration of their guest that may be trying to sleep I’ve worked at three hotel properties and stayed at least 60 more and I’ve NEVER seen anything like it It boggles my mind They do do a decent job cleaning and are friendly when you do interact with them so I guess that’s something The rest of the staff are nice and the hotel is clean However, I’d never stay here and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone either

Kelly Cambron

Beautiful hotel rooms are large and clean and very comfortable Breakfast was sadly a big disappointment The floor was dirty and littered with food

The tables were not clean/gross and there was not one table that was clean The coffee was super weak tasted like hot water the waffle had no taste – the bagel sandwich with sausage – the sausage was grayish white – not very appetizing Food options were lacking and absent flavor Would do better just serving some apples oranges bananas and muffins

We just enjoyed a too-short one-night stay having flown into Jacksonville and heading north to Savannah and beyond Our room #207 was very spacious and comfortable Loved the wet bar with sink and mini-fridge

Exciting to see the lighthouse from the upper floors Easy walk to pier and village restaurants Nice pool area Everyone at the hotel was very friendly and welcoming During our short stay we enjoyed lunch at Barrier island Brewing, Happy Hour and dinner at Mullet Bay, and breakfast on the patio at Palm coast coffee( the hotel offers a continental breakfast but we did not see it since we wanted to go out) Very fun stay!!!

Ashley Danielle Attaway

Stayed in room 102, it was great cause of my dad’s foot issues and it wasn’t far to go We had a small bathroom, but there was another bathroom right down the hall so that helped The beds were really comfy

There is a really nice coffee maker with great hot chocolate in the lobby All the staff is extremely nice, and we loved Michelle on the night shift It’s right across from the museum, and within walking distance of restaurants, shopping, neptune park, and the pier

Suzanne Goard

We enjoyed our stay here Bedding was excellent and quarters very comfortable Location can’t really be topped

near beautiful beach, Neptune’s Park and various dining options Continental breakfast was very appreciated with an excellent coffee center, pastries, all sorts of muffins, bagels and cereals, plus yogurt and some fruit Front desk were personable and always helpful

Justin “Nytalite” B.

We stayed in room 401 (a double-queen and couch room), and although it wasn’t the nicest hotel, it was good for the price The room was big, the beds were comfortable, and the staff were friendlyHowever, the outlets on the nightstand were loose

They couldn’t securely hold our tech charging hubs, and they are pretty light

Barton Alderman

Arrived at hotel tired and with no reservations Girl at desk said no problem and checked us in to huge, clean room Everything was clean and neat

Rooms are obviously soundproofed because there was absolutely no noise from hallway No noise from nearby interstate highway, either Very good breakfasteggs and real bacon Staff was very friendly We’ll stay here on our next trip to Brunswick!

K T Dume

Three stars only because the cleaning staff were nice and the room was clean This hotel is beyond tired; outside of the expected nicks and scratches, the room smelled, the elevators routinely go out (twice during our 1 night stay, and we heard the staff talking about it as a normal occurence), carpeting was stained, ice machine was broken on our floor (clearly for a while, since the tape and sign it held up were old and dirty), nowhere to sit except for one desk chair that didn’t work very well

On top of that, the front desk manager spent his time busily texting, mask hanging off one ear Even when I went downstairs and received a perfunctory “How are you?” from him, he never looked up Lobby eating area would be all right except it was freezing – after our complaints that it was too cold to eat our dinner there and nowhere to eat in the room, nothing was done Staff complained a while later and still, nothing done Management took no responsibility for any issues and was completely unhelpful at all timesHilton clearly doesn’t consider this outpost a priority, or even half a priority A pityReally do not recommend staying here

Enjoyed a relaxing weekend at the Beachview Club Hotel! The hotel is great! Ms Diane and William were super accommodating I would have given it 5 stars if there had been a restaurant in the property or within walking distance that was better Room are clean and neat

AC had a little struggle late in the afternoon keeping the room cool but caught up during the night The pool is super nice and had nice lounge chairs, umbrellas, and beach towels Short walk to the beach to enjoy the sand and surf on a very uncrowded beach Property has several places to sit and enjoy the breezes under the big oak trees Will definitely return for another visit

Brittany Fisher

By far one of the best places we have stayed at! The location is great! We were greeted by Jonesy & Mel, & offered champagne! They were SO welcoming and friendly! They were very informative of the area, provided us a detailed book of the islandWe were checked on during our stay by the front staff but also the housekeeping They were so welcoming and friendly, too!The hotel rooms are nice, and the bed was SO COMFORTABLE! We were on the bottom floor and parking was great! Walked out our back door to either the pool or the ocean

There’s tree shaded areas with benches to sit on that’s nice to enjoy, tooI highly recommend and will recommend this place to others!

Tarviswingspoon

Depending on walking speed/distractions)

10/10 will be coming back in the near future, my boyfriend and I stayed at the hotel about a week ago and you couldn’t have asked for a better place I felt like I was home The staff was super friendly

The night manager was extremely friendly and bubbly The room it’s self was beautiful I felt completely comfortable I loved being sooo close to the beachLike I said 10/10 we will definitely be coming back😁😁

David Walton

I stayed at the Westin Jekyll on two occasions over the last few months and I really love this property It’s located in the most ideal area, close to shopping, restaurants and island amenities The hotel has a top notch restaurant (the Reserve), a spacious pool bar where you can order drinks and various bar food, and enjoy the attentive and fun staff (Elijah and Addison)

Overall there seems to be plenty of space for the guest as it never felt overrun or crowded Go here to relax, recharge, enjoy the beach and walking paths

Lauren Aikens

This is my third time staying here and I understand there are staffing shortages, but I wouldn’t waste your time or money staying here because the price is just not worth it The cafe was closed which would have ben nice had the hotel put multiple signs up after giving us vouchers to the cafe Now they are under some construction that is directly above our room this morning

Seems as though they would have put us in a room away from the construction, but I guess not Honestly I don’t like this hotel, but my mother would prefer to stay here, but this is our last time staying here Also, for such a nice place they really could upgrade their gym as well

Such opulence and decadence! Beautifully manicured landscaping and the structures are maintained well Plenty of old-growth trees and mature foliage make it seem much older than <100 years It could truly be it's own, closed-off community

It has everything you need and more The only odd thing I noticed was that, aside from staff and a handful of guests, everyone was whiteI still had a lovely second visit here- the food/service was great, no doubt to the Food and Beverage Mgrs and staff

Steve

We played golf at the plantation course $310 for the round Point of this review is to say you’re paying for the resort, not the course

Playing the course is worth $150 $310 is crazy overpriced for the golf experience Nothing super special about it However, the practice facility and mens locker room and setting on the water are great

Trisha Masters (crippin.d4)

The staff was very friendly Room was very nice overlooking Marsh Location was great

However you need to watch billing practices We stayed in February and I was billed twice Had to have it removed and they were great about it But in April I was billed again!! And I didn’t stay there at all at this time!! Kind of ridiculous that they couldn’t seem to get the billing right?!!

Jada Webb

There was loud construction! They did not have information on the website about any construction We were on the 1st floor and could here every step the people upstairs took There were children running back and forth constantly

It sounded like an herd of elephants We asked to be moved and the front desk said they were booked A quick search on the website determined that was untrue No housekeeping services We stayed three nights no fresh towels offered, when we requested 4 towels we were given 3 I would not recommend this place to an enemy

The hotel lobby is pretty and inviting, but elevators, hallways, and rooms need major renovations They are dreary, worn, and need replacement of their flooring Service personnel is good and responsive

The bed was comfortable and the room had been cleaned, but the bathroom grout no longer is sealed, so it appears to be dirty The shower doors have lime scale on their edges and the door tracks have some sort of hard debris in them The shower pan is also wornit just needs a renovation

C L Mattson

Stayed here the end of April Very nice hotel Clean

Smelled nice upon enteringFriendly service Rachel was at the desk when we checked out She was very kind and competent No issues Harris restaurant attached to the hotel was also very good Convenient location Served till 11pm on Friday Eve Great service there was well

Alysha Drummond

HORRIBLE! For the SECOND TIME! I have no idea why this hotel is even still offered through Priceline They have a rule that locals can not stay there So imagine taking advantage of an express deal just to have to find another room! On too of that all the workers at the desk do is point at the paper

They don’t even give an explanation! This would have been my 3rd time staying there No bad history listed in there system or anything! They need to have things like this blocked off in the system to avoid confusion! At least the last time the nice receptionist man helped me

Had a great stay here I came at the end of January and it was like I had the place to myself very quiet and peaceful Soaked in the hot tub for a bit then hit up a local spot down the street for a bite to eat

My room was clean and the gentleman at the front desk was friendly Just a side note the pool area Is beautiful and looks very accommodating with a small bar area beside of it and right off the beach I’m sure if your looking to make a good time happen you could do it here

Crystal Vernon

Great view Friendly staff Pet friendly

Clean beach Clean rooms Loved the fire pits and walking trails We did not use them but seemed to have a nice playground and poolWhy not a 5? Walkway to the room had water spots, spills, etc that remained throughout our entire 5 day stay Housekeeping kept bringing supplies for 3 guests when we booked room for 4 Hotel breakfast was simple fruit, cereal, muffins, etc that would typically be included in the most basic continental breakfast High price tag for this minimal option Employees took parking spots closest to guest rooms Very loud old style wall AC/Heat units that left me going from freezing to sweating within secondsThat being said I would definitely go there again as the price for oceanfront location was unbeatable

Lori Reynolds

AMAZING STAY! My husband and I and our 90 year old mom were so fortunate to enjoy an extended stay at this amazing resort, and we were so well cared for by the entire staff We honestly felt like it was our home, and they were our family We really would not want to stay anywhere else on the island other than the Holiday Inn Resort

Everything about it was perfect If I could give it more than 5 stars, I would! It was also a priceless gift for our 90 year old mom After 2 years of being shut in due to the pandemic, She was very apprehensive about taking the long trip But 15 minutes after she arrived in her room she reported she had arrived in paradise! She got outside each day and walked along the resort paths, and enjoyed sitting on the Adirondack chairs and watching the people and bikers go by It was like she was 10 years younger when she leftAs for the staff, we can’t thank them all enough and let them know that their very hard work makes a big difference in the lives of others! I was in the hotel business for many years, and I understand first hand that is’ grueling hard work, and sometimes (many times) guests remember to complain, but do not remember to say THANK YOU!!!! So please know that you are indeed very appreciated!!!!!

Stay here every July Nice facility, condos spacious Nice pool, access to ocean

But they are so slow turning rooms out No one wants to work anymore so I know it’s tough but we always can’t check in on the time and have waited anywhere from 30 – 60 minutes past 6 pm check in But if you’re more patient (I’m working on that), it’s a great place to stay

Doc Bino

Good location, well stocked kitchen & bathrooms Quiet environment Good customer and housekeeping servicesThis is not really a resort

The restaurant is open for dinner only & a few days of the week There are no other amenities I kick myself for not researching this location more for, where we stayed, there was no actual beach to go to and flies & mosquitos were everywhere I should have accounted for these 2 things before bookingI shorted my stay and the staff was very accommodating and professional If you read this, thank you

Mimi White

The pool is wonderful Stayed in a condo Rooms are small but very clean and my balcony has a beautiful ocean view

You can walk to the beach or pool in under 5 minutes The top rated restaurant on Jekyll is also a 5 minute walk in the parking lot Be prepared to wait hours to get in to eat The first night it was closed due to lack of staff I was not overly impressed with my food after reading all the great reviews, my shrimp was great, the coleslaw was watery and minced so fine you didn’t have to chew my friends mashed potatoes were dried out so bad the top was crusted and cracked I know there were people who waited over 2 hours to get a table

Stayed at Ocean 6/3 – 6/7 Owner/Management has just changed hands, so hoping for some nice updates, as neededOur experience was very positive, from front desk staff, to GM Rob, to housekeeping, to room

Room was quite comfortable, right temps, marble/granite bathroom, great shower, and best view from our room/deck Pool was open and refreshing, as needed Inn is very, very close to everything, which is great Right across from fabulous lighthouse Located in great neighborhood for walks and beach access

Kristin Collins

Room was ok Front staff were great! Very sweet man and woman working the front desk Sadly this hotel offered no breakfast, the pool was closed and property did not even have a smoking section outside or anywhere on the property

You had to leave your room, go outside and go sit in the dark across the street to smoke Being able to at least use the pool or sit around the closed pool would have been a nice option as well You’re really just paying a premium price for a bed to sleep in Lastly, the whole city smelled of feces Seems we were the only ones that noticed Was told it was a nearby paper plant Definitely don’t recommend St Simon’s Island if you have a sensitive nose or stomach

Katia Robinowicz

I really loved this hotel It was cozy, charming and somewhat romantic The staff was amazingly helpful

The whole place had an old Georgia feel, but was very cleanMy only complaint was the water pressure in my room Despite that, I still had a decent showerI liked that I could walk to the pier and shopping I was right across from the lighthouse and the shoreParking was greatNo trafficI recommend it and Id stay here again if i ever come back

Quoting my wife “This place is so cute and quaint We have to come back and stay again ” the room at stayed in is as big as an apartment I lived in

Beds super comfy, the pool is great The text the staff for service is pretty cool The medium sized fridge was nice to have There is a number of places to eat and shop within a minute or 2 walk of the hotel We will be back

Beautiful new hotel Small but unique rooftop pool No more beach chairs and village shuttle transit included in the nightly rate

In my mind that’s a huge downgrade I still rate this a 45 star experience and a 35 star hotel The location is Not waterfront but very very prime I fear the new owners will drive the hotel quality into the ground

Hotel Simone is working to be high end (in a casual southern Georgia way) and for the most part they pull it off In addition to the many positives mentioned by others, the check-in experience provided by Vonquez was over the top

enthusiastic, helpful, efficient But all staff we encountered were top notch Free or discounted access to King & Prince amenities was a nice bonus

Very clean and up to date modern rooms Spacious and comfortable Great shower and large tv with streaming support

So overall, greatThe main down sides were you can hear the floor above Until after midnight it sounded like someone dropping heavy objects thudding through the roofRoom also has a few lights that blink all night or shine, so they don’t create a good dark room experienceSo get top floorBreakfast not spectacular Eggs pan had a bunch of water in bottom, sausage not attractive looking I was told waffles were good thoughCoffee was hot and had a great tasteIf In area or traveling through, good safe place to stay in area I recommend

This is a beautiful property, very clean and comfortable However, more importantly was the exceptional service provided by the friendly and welcoming staff Curtis was friendly and welcoming at check in, and Wendy was just as welcoming and smiling when she delivered some fresh towels to our room

Samuel at the desk the morning of check out was also exceptionally friendly and helpful Thank you for caring so much about your guests You exceeded our expectations!

A good location The hotel was just a year old but still showed signs of being not well kept upBreakfast was good, with hot eggs

Unfortunately, they ran out of food before breakfast was overWe used the ap for check in But when we got there we still ended up in a handicap room (we did not need) and it was at the outer most part of the hotel

I had a beautiful time for my birthday weekend My room was a king size suite with balcony, which was nice Plenty of parking spaces

The shutter bus service was amazing I enjoyed being chauffeured around the island Front desk could use better customer service I was pleased with the location Shopping, food, gas and entertainment was very close I enjoyed the easy access to the beach as well as the bar The hotel food served at the bar was not the best Breakfast was basic, needs improvementI recommend the carriage/ trail ride and horse back riding on the beach I will definitely visit again This is a family friendly environment

1 I would recommend to a family or couple2 Set your expectations accordingly

3 The place reminds me of why our mom would bring cleaning supplies when we traveledSome rooms are a little worn You definitely want to bring your cleaning wipes or Lysol to spray every surface in the room Door knobs, handles, remote control, and so on It always felt like I could be touching a germ But, keep in mind that I still said I’d recommend I was told this is typical for hotels near bodies of water The breakfast was Hotel breakfast and better than the typical hard danish There was a waffle stationThe kids and families that we saw all looked like they were having fun Especially, at the pool

Al S

Staff was great We were very happy there was a bar and the continental breakfast was very good The pier to the beach was right behind the hotel and we enjoyed grabbing a drink at the bar and walking out there every night

The bathroom could have been in better shape and the shower head needs to be replaced

This hotel needs serious updating & repairs! We were lucky if we could get the water to lukewarm We tried at different times of day thinking it might be just overloaded The refrigerator makes way too much noise

The TV was very outdated The pixels were way too low so the picture was very unclear Hardly no channels and no guide on the remote or in the room so it was difficult to find anything Otherwise the room was clean and comfortable All of the staff was extremely friendly and helpful

G Gayle

Bathtub not properly cleaned and had grime/mildew all over it, the second room I was moved to the whole toilet was not secured to the floor and rocked, was dirty on the seat, multiple hairs on shower seat, grime/mold in bathtub and on shower head The room was in dire need of repair and the tv although big horrible picture quality would not pay more than $40/night for this hotel

Lady at desk on 4/22/22 in evening was very rude and said go to store down the road to get bleach wipes to clean the room and the housekeeper didn’t clean well enough were her words would not stay here again, they wouldn’t give me a refund or move me to a clean/non damaged room definitely do not stay with children!

Stephanie Hill

I’ll start with the good Friendly clerk at counter when we checked in We had plenty of hot water and water pressure and the bed was comfortable

Now the not so good Weird, musty smell was very overpowering as soon as we walked in to the room and EVERYTHING felt damp from the towels to the bedding and carpet Turned on the light in the bathroom and saw a roach scurry into theshower curtain I would not recommend

Just an outstanding place with the best hotel staff I’ve ever met Ms Win, Patrick, Kayla, Will and the housekeeping manager (didn’t catch her name but she was so good to me) just went above and beyond to make my stay as comfortable as possible

I fell sick during my stay and they were all so nice to me, Ms Win was an angel and put a little care package on my door St Simons is a beautiful island and this is a great hotel with real Southern hospitality, a rare gem Thank you for making my stay so special

Peter Bradshaw

I’ve stayed here twice, totaling two weeks The staff could not be friendlier, housekeeping or front deskRooms were clean and well stocked with dishes upon my arrival both visits

The fire pit and pool areas offer great views (pool especially if you are an aviation lover as I am)My reason for four stars over five is during my second stay I requested one visit from housekeeping When they cleaned the room, they left puddles of brown water in the bathroom The whole room smelled horrid I cleaned it up myself with one of the provided towels After that, the floor was still sticky but at least it didn’t smell badI would stay here again But I would for sure bring up my problems with house keeping before requesting it

Anthony Ursillo

The hotel did not allow for a contact-less check in which is the only reason I installed the App That meant I had to get my family back in the car, drive around the building, and wait in line to check inIf you are staying and hope to use the pool – don’t plan on it

The pool is RIGHT next to jets taking off the runway and the noise is unbearable at times Scared my little girl enough to not want to use the pool anymoreBreakfast was okay but it would be nice if they varied it somewhat day by dayI don’t understand why the bathroom has a sliding door that doesn’t close all the way Who doesn’t understand the need for privacy in the bathroom?
