I had room 106 by the outside patio and I could hear everyone The AC in the room was loud too A good quality hotel have quiet rooms, this is not it

The hotel is well renovated but on a poor foundation (thin walls…) Felt overpricedMy bathroom was not like the picture tooOn a positive side, the staff was friendly and the outside patio was great

Ryan Spitzbart

The Nest is a modernized hotel that captures the idea of a luxury like hotel, but in a more casual manner I’ll go over my specific details with pros and consPros:-Outdoor fireplace amenities, making the stay more cozy and relaxing-Clean yet small workout room-55 Inch LG TV with Apple TV included-Sliding barn door, separating the bedroom and bathroom

-This is a big one; complementary parkingCons:-Location in Palo Alto is lackluster and may seem sketch to those unfamiliar with Palo Alto-No food cuisines to offer on site-No microwave or refrigerator, which I found rather odd-Thin walls so hopefully you don’t luck out with noisy neighbors during the nightOverall, I’d recommend if you can get a deal for this hotel by a third party, it’s worth giving the hotel a chance Paying regular price can be pricey, and nearby options could accommodate more for what your paying for May return in the future

Alex Sonne

This quality of construction is rarely seen outside of rural Thailand You can hear your alcoholic neighbor snoring If someone is walking anywhere in the hotel, you can hear or feel the steps

There’s no place to put your luggage except on the floor Really really low quality Pay interstate motel prices or find a different placeNice staff, convenient area

Clean and well located We stayed here to use a free night certificateWhen we checked in, the front end staff was very nice and professional

They helped us get into our room even though the key system was down (hooray for physical keys)When we got into our room, we typically spray things and wipe things due to COVID but here, we were less worried as we could smell that it had recently been sanitized Some people may complain about it, but honestly, the faint smell of bleach is comforting to me (even before the Pandemic) Another great thing was that ALL the drinkware, silverware, and flatware was in the dish washer sterilizing while we walked in Basically, I had NO worries about cleanliness hereWe didn’t get to eat the breakfast since we were here only one day and had plans at Son & Garden around the cornerThe only thing that was a bit of a downer was no pool I’m guessing due to the location and typical clientele, a pool likely isn’t needed We did, however want one simply to let our kids play That would have been a nice touch, but not a dealbreakerOverall a great stay

I’ve actually been here many times and I loved it! The staff are extremely friendly and I love the dining area!! They also have kitchens, so you can cook too Even though it’s close to the train, I actually didn’t hear anything (although maybe it’s because I’m a deep sleeper haha) In fact, I’m coming back!! (yayy)! Overall, I highly recommend this hotel :)!

First, I have to admit that I did not stay at the hotel However, I frequently stay in the area for work and decided to drop in to check out the facility for future stays My colleague and I ordered a specialty coffee at the snack bar

The service was fine, and we were in awe of the design and architecture It was very cool and a seemingly great concept for the area Unfortunately, as soon as we sat down with our coffee we began to notice how filthy the place was While there were probably a total of 8 people in the whole place, most every table was dirty – paper wrappers, drink rings, crumbs, etc Then we noticed the floor They have a cool trendy concrete tile near the bar that I can assure you has not seen a mop in many, many days or weeks Given the current COVID environment, we got uncomfortable with the complete lack of cleanliness Before leaving, my colleague went to the restroom and reported that it was worse than the dining area in terms of uncleanliness The place is cool and clearly a lot of money has been invested in the facility I understand that staffing is also currently a challenge, but I must say that if the conditions we saw in the public areas are at all representative of the lodging accommodations, there is no way we would consider staying there I wish the best, but encourage you to elevate focus on the details – including providing a clean, germ-free environment

Micah Harvey

Every part of this hotel was well done From the interior design, the high-end equipment in the large fitness center, the friendly staff, the rooms, and the outdoor spaces Honestly, this is one of the best hotels I’ve stayed at for the money

I love the air and space theme that was throughout There are so many cool nooks and spaces to hang out, eat, socialize or relax Certainly not the last time I’ll be staying here If you’re in the area for a concert at the Shoreline Amphitheater, this is the ideal place to stay

Brett Kho

we had a superb experience at this hotel for professional purposes, with Front Porch mountain view association everything was extremely clean and lots of cool spaces in the lobby area The gym is pretty decent with the weights and the amount of sunshine we get at the pool was also perfect! Great location directly north of downtown Mountain View

Booking at the Creekside Inn was the most delightful surprise I travel to Palo Alto monthly and usually stay at a Hilton or Marriott property but because nearly everything was booked for the week I was there last, I took a chance on this place It’s a dream

The setting and environment is so understated from the road The rooms are clean and up to date and the balconies are a really nice touch It’s in a very natural setting Housekeeping was prompt and the area restaurants and cafes are everywhere It’s the closest I’ve stayed to my work destination and the Creekside Inn will continue to be my choice on future visits I wish they had a loyalty program!

Julia Marie

Waldo, the boy at the front desk, was extremely rude He tried to scam me out of $400 when I originally paid $120 He acts like this is the fanciest hotel ever… it’s not

When i refused to pay the hefty price tag, he also refused to let me have a refund so I could go to another hotel He claimed to have called his manager, but said I wasn’t aloud to talk to her? It was just all really strange and something I’ve never experienced at a hotelI did really like the rooms, super clean and big I would have liked my room more if I hadn’t been standing outside for 4 hours arguing with Waldo Seriously guys, I would skip this hotel They scammed me out of 250 dollars

Property is a bit hard to find at first It’s behind another building off the street Outside parking is limited

Spacious parking in the underground garage Honestly for the bay area, the secure underground parking is probably the best idea Rooms are clean Property is clean Plenty of hot water Comfortable beds Staff is friendly and extremely helpful The gas grill by the fireplace is a great bonus The outdoor gas fireplace is nice too The fitness center is good for a hotel fitness center Would stay here again

A group of about 14 of us stayed here on a work trip for pretty much a month From the first day we checked in almost almost everyone in the group was unhappy Rooms not ready, as soon as you walked in the rooms they had a pungent smell, molded shower curtains (housekeeping never changes), no soap & toilet paper

The first day we checked in I felt sorry for the front desk receptionist at first since some of the group mistook her for the first lady that was at the desk when we first arrived but it was a different lady Everyone was complaining I gave them a fair chance till I had to beg for over a week for my room to be cleaned When housekeeping finally cleaned my room they did not put toilet paper or cheated the tub When I first arrived in this room the shower curtain was full of mold and still she refused to change it After calling front desk several times someone finally changed it Came back to my room the shower curtain package and trash was left all over my room Besides all of the above one room key opens EVERY ROOM!!!! Two members of my team had someone walked in each of their rooms!!! This place is not safe! I was so happy after we moved to another hotelThis is not even why I’m leaving the review The reason why I am leaving this review and I will be leaving a review for this hotel on every site I can and I’ll make sure my team do too! I had a package delivered there and I have yet to receive it I’ve been calling for weeks Spoke to both Edgar and Jessica several times with each saying they will get back to me and no one has Every time I call there is no manager or someone will reach out to me I know the package was delivered since they called me the day it was delivered Now I’m calling every week and no one can get back to me and let me know where my package is This package has my medication along with some other items! It’s been weeks and NO one has gotten back to me Last person I spoke with was Edgar couple days ago and today and he said to me he don’t know when the manager will contact me or if they will So I asked for the email Stay away from this hotel if you want to be safe, not get sick from mold or want your packages!!!

julie clark

The staff were amazing! And the Hotel was nice too I was sent here after I booked somewhere else and they canceled my reservation The original hotel made a huge mess of my plans and my day, and Fernando at the Residence Inn made it all better

He worked hard to make someone elses screw up into a better day for me The hotel was clean and quiet Everything we needed in the kitchen

We love the pool and the location of this hotel The staff are all super friendly and professional Check in is fast and efficient and the managers are present and helpful

Our room was very clean and the a/c works great which is a big thing for us This hotel is older but it is still the best place to stay You can walk to Stanford Mall and the shops at Town & Country as well as downtown Palo Alto We look forward to our next visit

Karla Mei Robertson

The location can’t be beat, and I’ve got 20 years of positive memories from this hotel The pool is nice and my kids love it (although it’s a bit chilly and I really wish there was a hot tub) The staff is good and the ground are nice- so get a garden view room if possible

The rooms are basic, serviceable But the walls are paper thin So if you have a noisy neighbor you are screwed But I’ll take my chances and will keep coming back

Gordon Burgess

Have kids and want to hear more of them? Enjoy the euphonious roar of an ice machine? This is the place for you! With walls carefully engineered to be as thin as permitted by law and a layout designed to amplify 60-year-old Karen’s shrieking while she pounds tequila poolside at 2am, this is truly the ultimate experience No need to get an adjoining room for Uncle Steve, it won’t save you from his snoring and you won’t be sleeping either wayPros: The location was great, the staff were efficient and friendly, and the room was clean

Check-in/check-out was smoothCons: Noise 🗣️🛏️ Guests were yelling in the pool area until 1-2am for the three nights I was there which could clearly be heard through closed doors, and no staff enforced any kind of quiet hours Other noise from guests in the hallway weren’t stopped by the thin walls and made the whole experience pretty terrible One morning I was woken up at 6am by an employee dragging pool chairs on the concreteI only ended up getting a few hours of sleep a night and it impacted the business trip I was on I would not recommend this experience to others The shouting of guests stays with me in my dreams but I’m lucky to already have tinnitus to drown it out

We stayed at the Penthouse Suite for our wedding weekend, and I would strongly recommend the same for other couples The hotel is beautiful, both the rooms and common areas, and the staff was extremely thoughtful and considerate during the booking process as well as during the weekend Compared to other hotels in the area, the price is much more justified by the quality of the experience

I highly recommend El Prado and hope to return some day

Alexah Rogge

Gorgeous hotel– we were trying to rent an event space for weeks/months but the service was extremely disappointing, waiting extended periods for a response from the events/sales coordinator, no contract sent after saying it would be sent several times, etc We sent several ‘hi just checking in on this’ emails to try to move the process along and get a response, but eventually we just decided to not risk it with the unreliable service and scheduled our event at a different hotel Hopefully the service improves because it is a lovely space

My family and I stayed at the El Prado hotel It was a fantastic stay and would love to stay there again The hotel staff was extremely polite, the rooms were very clean, no noise, and a great view of the courtyard

We originally ordered 1 room but opted to get a second room so our kids would have more space to spread out (besides, it would have been difficult for my wife and kids to share 1 bathroom)The location of the hotel is just off the main street that has several restaurants We had plans to go to Il Forniao (Italian restaurant downstairs) but we had jetlag and unfortunately, the restaurant was close to closing that night we arrived I had eaten at the restaurant in the past and it has a wonderful menu selection and amazing pastaWe took the kids down the street to Salt and Straw (icecream) It’s a must if you are staying at El Prado Get the Cookie dough and Cinnamon icecreams if you go thereRoom service in the hotel was very good My kids thought the chicken strips and the grilled cheese sandwich were a bit drybut the tuna was REALLY good (make sure you get the bowl of mixed berries with your dinnerthat was also very good) For breakfast we had the omelette and yogurt for breakfast; it was excellentI think all the rooms have a view of the courtyard Ensure you get a room with a balcony it was nice to sit out on the balcony and enjoy the fresh air

The manager is a very angry man who doesn’t respond well to simplequestions He seemed furious at checking because we used a hotelscom

The pillows were gross The room was dirty and noisy The manager was completely deranged I asked if it was possible to get different types of pillows and he got in my face about allergies etc I told him I understood and was simply inquiring if there were other pillows available He was yelling and frighteningly aggressive He followed us to the door yelling that we should find another place to stay We actually brought family with us to pack up fast and get out, he was so clearly unstable Needless to say, we found another place to stay,Update No surprise that they charged me for the entire stay What a nightmare this place is

Nancy Cornelius

We stayed at Hotel Lucent for one night on May 18, 2022 The bathroom door stopper had come off and the door fell onto my husband who was a Stanford Hospital patient (barn door type door) I jumped up and helped grab the door and immediately called the front desk

Also, the shampoo and other liquids in the “wall’ bottles did not work either The tile floor in bathroom was not cleaned (the closet had the same tile with white grout lines) but the grout lines in bathroom were black with dirt We paid $32322 for one night including tax Due to the door falling we should have been reimbursed by the hotel but we were not offered any kind of reimbursement except a verbal apology from the desk clerk (Their custodian stayed beyond his work hours to fix the door) We won’t stay there again as the hotel is “oversold” for what it is and the details and repairs and “attention to details” are missing We go to Stanford Hospital in Palo Alto but will find other accommodations

Robert Cvitkovic

As a European, this must have been one of the worst hotels I have been to The room had several problems There was a constant humming in the background; it smelled heavily like cleaner

The beds were short, and the bathroom was freezing as it had no heating All furniture is worn out Also, the breakfast has only cereals and some pastries, nothing fresh In the end, they also charged me insted of my company who made the reservation

This is the best hotel I have ever stayed in We went here the night of our wedding and the experience here exceeded all of our expectations The shower is fantastic with multiple outlets and excellent water pressure

The bed is extremely comfortable The room is very private When I went down to get breakfast, the owner and staff personally prepared my tray and helped me carry it to my room They included extra sweet gifts to congratulate our wedding

We stayed at Hotel Strata for a weekend It was an easy choice for me when I seen all of the amenities and the location is great as well Making reservations were easy and all the information was sent to us in an email so I felt very secure about my stay

My husband and I were warmly welcomed and the check in was a breeze We loved the room that we stayed in The bed was so comfortable and it was a dream to relax and watch a movie on the 65 inch TV My husband loved the heated floors and the shower! I mean everything we could have needed or wanted was provided to us for our stay It almost made us not want to leave We love that rolling table which was an awesome surprise The hotel felt very safe I cant forget they have access to pathwater refillable stations on each level I mean how cool is that The continental breakfast was delicious and I love the espresso machine The Owners were kind enough to share a great place for my husband and I to adventure to on our way home! We truly enjoyed our stay and are already making plans for a trip in May, we plan on requesting the same room 🙂

Strata is amazing you won’t regret staying here The hotel staff treat you like family, and do their absolute best to take care of anything, going above and beyond My fiancé and I are moving from Austin Texas to Mountain View for work, and Strata is our first stop which means, we have a LOT of luggage, a bunch of stuff that we need to figure out, and the staff here made things super easy for us

Here, you are not just a room number, you are a person with unique needs and they definitely show that they care in every interaction you have Staff members here are patient, accommodating, and very sweet to help us sign packages, answer questions We can not be more grateful There is complimentary breakfast in the morning and snacks all day Their bike rental program is also very convenient while we wait for the car to be delivered Walking distance to grocery stores Highly recommend, would give 10 stars if there is an options

There is tea and coffee along with a microwave and refrigerator in the room I opted to eat leftovers in the morning There is a complimentary breakfast There is tea and coffee in the lobby In the morning you can hear people rolling suit cases out of the room but that’s not surprising given the setup of the room and air conditioning units It is conveniently located across from a Walgreen’s There is also a Tesla supercharger across the street

Kind of surprised at the quality of this hotel for the price Stayed for a friend’s wedding but would not stay again Area rug and bathroom sink were dirty in our room, there were cracks in the floor of the shower, and couldn’t even get staff to answer basic housekeeping calls

The most frustrating moment was asking for washcloths and receiving bath mats, hand towels, and then moist towelettes, in that order Despite staff being friendly, they seem poorly trained

Incredible hotel! From the moment you walk in, you can tell it’s a special place The ambiance is unlike any other hotel I’ve stayed at The artwork and photography throughout add such charm and celebrates the history and achievements of so many Stanford greats, providing a strong connection to the area

The restaurant and bar within the hotel (both indoors and outdoor) are spectacular! The entire staff are so friendly and make you feel like a part of their extended family from the moment you check-in I felt so welcome and taken care of our entire stay The hotel room was very spacious and I was blown away by the cleanliness! I highly recommend this hotel and will never stay anywhere else when I’m in the area!

We had family come visit us in the bay and they stayed at the Stanford Park HotelFantastic experience all aroundThey were able to fully recharge in a gorgeous restful room after their delayed flight, 3am check in, and all of our bay ventures! The staff and customer service are nothing but excellent

The Stanford Park has a beautiful and friendly vibe that would be hard to match anywhere else on the Peninsula Enjoyed the live music, courtyard dining, and poolside very much

Nice hotel, great location What really makes this special is the person who greeted me at the front desk Her name is Cat and she is AMAZING

I’ve been traveling for several weeks and I came in exhausted My flight was canceled and I’ve been having a busy / stressful day Cat immediately greeted me with a smile and a joke and made me feel relaxed and comfortableAfter my (much deserved) nap, I’m going to try to hit the pool to relaxTHANK YOU CAT!!!

A mixed stay this trip, but hopefully related to their ongoing renovationsThe Good: very high quality service as expected from a Westin Due to the renovations there was a mix of Westin and Sheraton staff on call, but quality was great all across

The Surprising: housekeeping appears to have switched from expected to on request only When I confirmed with the front desk after several days, they apologized that I wasn’t told when I checked in Not sure if this is a regional (CA is under a major drought warning) or a staffing (due to post-Covid issues) change, but unexpected nonethelessThe Gratifying: The property, in the final stages of its renewal, is lovely on the inside and out, and it’s location near the Palo Alto downtown makes this a great place to stay in the Valley

We were forced to stay here as our 1 month advance booking which was confirmed at another Marriott was shifted to this place to as they were overbookedRooms are very good Nice and clean

But no one comes to housekeeping everyday, that’s surprisingPlenty of parking was available when we cameAnd the breakfast was everyday the same, sausage, scrambled eggs and oats, milk, juice etc which can definately be improved

Not the best hotel as such but definitely up there Great value for the price paid Really helpful staff and the location is amazing! Not the biggest issue but there are multiple buildings and my room was very far from the help desk

Would help to have a secondary help desk if possible

Man-Soo Hwang

This was my first stay in over 2 years Not sure if it’s the result of the pandemic staff shortage, but they would only service the room if you ask for it On one day they didn’t service it even after I asked for it to be before leaving the room in the morning

I hope this is a temporary issue as I really like this place due to the convenient location

I have been to this hotel’s bar area a few times and they have a good selection of drinks and small bites The backyard is very meticulously designedThis tome we stayed for a night and got a good deal since it was a last minute booking

And wow, the room was so beautiful The attention to details, all the nice finishes; amazing Bed was comfortableThe only issue was all the 4 pillows in our room were hugeBut overall highly recommended

As a Marriott Bonvoy member I enjoy exploring hotels in different locations I also really love the Autograph Collection hotels because they’re always modern in aesthetic and amenities What I love about this location is that it’s outside of the hustle and bustle but still very convenient to anything you could desire

The outdoor space is intimate but fulfilling- with a beautiful pool & poolside cabanas as well as a lawn with lawn games right next to their bar and restaurant area The rooms are quiet and modern I personally love the corner rooms and soaking tub You will definitely enjoy your time here

Horrible experience!! First the hotel is beautiful and the staff is nice However, after this everything falls apart We arrived just before 9pm

Was told the restaurant and bar is closed Then we asked if we could order room service and they said they don’t offer room service Then the next morning I couldn’t find the lotion in the bathroom I figured must have been a simple oversight, so i called down and they informed me they don’t offer any kind of lotion What? I have never been to a place that doesn’t offer lotion!! The blackout shades are designed poorly and don’t overlap so it’s bright in the morning Traffic is noisy But it is what it is I guess can’t do much there However, today we went down to grab a quick bite before our flight and the place was completely empty We asked to sit outside and they informed us they couldn’t accommodate because they were fully booked (please look at the photos I’m attaching, there wasn’t anyone seated!) paying $800 per night I would expect more The way this place is ran leaves much to be desired

Excited to stay Nobu Hotel in Palo AltoNice ambiance and unusual rest room with toto vide The lighting system was so modern

However, the service was not great Room cleaning had to be requested at 3 pm after though staff had come earlier but only refilled the mini barThe picture is Japanese Breakfast Bento which looks good and tastes good

We were excited to stay at Nobu as we understood, from their marketing, that it was exceptionally cool, exclusive, and boutique We looked on their site for a nice room and found that the Zen Suite (about $1,200) was available for the night we wanted to stay, which happened to be that same night When we landed we checked again to see if it was available and it was, but since we were only a few minutes away we decided to go right to the hotel and check in rather than reserving online

The two young gentlemen at the front desk (early twenties and very inexperienced, but doing their best) laughed when we asked about the suite and said they were all booked and that Expedia was likely having problems We said we saw it was available, not on Expedia, but on the Nobu Palo Alto site and we pulled it up in front of them Anyway, don’t trust their site for booking, you’d have to call to be certain before putting in your card info to make sure you aren’t booking a room that doesn’t exist inside the cancellation time Then it just got stupid they only had rooms with two queen beds (which by the way they are not queen beds – they are doubles which are really small) Since we were already there and tired we decided to take the two queen room Got to our room and a large panel fell off the wall when my wife opened the safe The paneling isn’t aligned and opening the safe cabinet door was enough to dislodged a 3 by 4 foot heavy panel from the wall which then fell on her We switched rooms The next room had a lovely thick black hair in the sink, maybe a dark sushi noodle, not sure It was end of day so we decided whatever we came up against we would stay The beds are not queen beds, but I mentioned that already Rooms are small TV is enormous and really great, but very limited channels but still – it’s a great TV Shower was ok but no hand held and they have a “Japanese” style wood floor in the shower which serves only an aesthetic purpose, and maybe to hide hair underneath, but damn it hurts the feet Bathroom is very tiny The toilet was unbelievably great and the showcase of the room, along with the TV The toilet is fully automated with remote control, heated seat, squirty things etc Basically you are renting a toilet and TV with some surrounding furniture No electrical outlets next to beds – just USB ports which is fine but not if you have new iPhone etc Carpets are stained, mostly because of the color selection we think which shows an archaeological history of prior guest shenanigans There is only one elevator which gets tedious The common areas of the hotel are sort of finished but not really There is an odd second floor patio that is 8 feet wide with some furniture facing a wall Nobody was out there There are surely other spots to stay that would be a better value and still very nice We couldn’t help but think Nobu is more of a marketing and food services company than a hotel company We give three stars which we think is fair for a three star hotel

The highest level of service ever received! The hotel is simple and refined The best concierge I have ever interacted with! From toiletries to arranging sightseeing/recommendations (everyone from valet) {so personable!}Excellent hotel for business and pleasure 5-star hotel without a stuffy Four Seasons/Ritz approach

Room service is top notch Front desk was super responsive when I needed more shampoo/conditioner/Nespresso podsWe stayed in a Ryokan room which I can not emphasize just how incredible and serene the room feels We were granted early checkin as soon as we landed from SFO at 11amI booked this not expecting much, but the small touches and personalized attention is what sets Nobu apart from anyone elseThe 82 inch tv is magical as is the heated toilet seat, you’re welcome!

Very nice hotel overall Comfortable clean room Good size, including safe and refrigerator

Coffee maker and most amenities provided Very nice bathroom with good space One thing to note is that only one drawer was in the room, and the shampoo, shower gel, and conditioner was fixed to the wall of the shower Also the bathtub was large but did not allow for a bath to be taken because the drain stop seemed to be intentionally disabled

Pamela Olesen

I rarely give five stars but as I try to think about what could have been better to get a fifth star, I can’t think of anything criticalRooms are be modern, staff were friendly, atmosphere is great, ❤️ the hydration stations! The only thing I’ve found in the last few Marriotts is a lack of shelf/bench/ledge

anything to make shaving your legs even possible in the shower

I wanted to like this hotel stay more; however, there were a lot of little inconveniences that frustrated me As a frequent traveler I’m used to things being different than what I’m used to, but things like the light switches either seemed to regularly not function, or just be incredibly unintuitive The overhead light in the entryway fell out of it’s housing on my first day staying in my room

The gym was incredibly stuffy (temperature was fine, just zero airflow) Also, everyday the room was cleaned, whoever did the cleaning turned the hand faucet so it pointed out of the shower door at high pressure, so almost every morning I gave the bathroom a nice spritzing of water before I had to turn it back to a position that made sense There were a few other oddities, but again, hotel was mostly just fine other than weird things that kept popping up regularly
