Great service! Friendly & helpful staff Clean & comfortable accommodations Room was a good size & beds were very comfy

I liked the big window Convenient location regarding travel, as well as local attractions & destinations Good buffet breakfast that costs $10 per person Had some plumbing issues with the toilet, but the matter was resolved quickly & easily

Jesse Frye

No microwave No mini fridge No hair dryer

Bath sink didn’t drain Hot tub was closed and roped off for the whole stay Had a room right next to a whole baseball team so nights were long and loud with slamming doors Had a 2 night stay as a gift from family members as a getaway, but would have rather stayed home You’re paying for location and downtown status The room was clean and the bed was comfortable Also charged $420 for the room on my card because of confusion at check in with the free certificate, and have still to be refunded I’ve stayed in MANY other hotels with more accommodations for way cheaper

Melody Spence

Disclaimer that it seemed to be bad week for them, but…We only stayed one night When we arrived we were told the online system had crashed and to check in an hour later Upon checking in, they couldn’t find our reservation even though we were able to show our email confirmation and ended up having to pay extra

The door to our room was stuck so hard you had to throw your shoulder against it to open it, and when closed would leave a one inch crack open at the top letting in sound, even though it was securely closed Our bed was comfy but had stains on our sheets and pillows In the morning we learned the shower had no hot water The coffee was lukewarmWe visited the bar on site and the male bartender was super friendly and gave us drinks even when he was in the middle of closing up The grilled cheese and fries were good as well as the drinks and the price point was spot on The AC was broken though so everyone was sweatingAfter going out for dinner we came back to no available parking spaces due to there being a wedding at the hotelOverall, it was a decent enough place to lay our heads for one night but we will not return

When we were checking into the room, The manager was extremely generous and nice When we actually checked into the room, the room was very clean and comfortable, the TV was very big and amazing, the breakfast, possibly the best I have ever had, and the beds were very comfortable as well! The service was beyond amazing, This employee came to our door and said very nicely, “You need anything?” I said ” Yes, towels please” She immediately got us the towels and said goodbye afterwards We even gave you guys $5 because of such great service

This service was truly the best! We will SO come again because of such great service!!!!!

Chosen1

The only reason this Hotel is still in business is because of its staff Every staff member from front desk to maintenance was AWESOME!!! They were very accommodating and their concerns were immeasurably pleasing However, the rooms were disappointing!I booked this hotel for my family because we had to leave our home for water damage

I could not believe my eyes once we were in our rooms One room wreaked of a pet smell, and animal hair was everywhere I found two huge cockroaches in my room (mind you they serve breakfast every morning) There was rust in almost square foot The bathroom doors would not stay open, and paint chipping at the bottom The toilets got clogged continuously, I had to relocate to another room at 2 in the morning because the clogged toilet overflowed(I was livid) The entire hotel needs renovating asap I travel a lot and expected the Marriott brand to make me proud, but I am so upset that wasn’t the experience we had

Pamela Jackman (PJ)

Kyle, at front desk greeted me professionally and courteously even though I arrived after 1:30 in the morning due to a late start because of torrential downpoursCheck in was quick and easyThe night before checkout, I had a terrible migraine headache and requested a late checkout and Kyle made it happen

The staff did not disturb us and that is worth more than goldl!Clean 2 bedroom suite with no complaints!Kudos to your exceptional staff!

I made a reservation for my daughters graduation from 4-28 to 4-30 and my reservations states that I had until 4-26-22 to cancel but, the hotel decided to charge my for the whole hotel stay because they said it graduation weekend and they want the money before you even arrive to the hotel Rachel the hotel manager was very rude, and said if she gave me a refund she will have to cancel the reservation Wait, my reservation said I will not be charged until I check in!

Hotels want to take advantage of people because of graduation, if it wasn’t for these events they will not survive in this little town

Cleanliness is definitely lacking here From dog hair on the sheets and the floor, human hair on the towels and bathtub, walls and mirrors not wiped down, stains on sheets

There was also a spider on my bed There was no availability elsewhere and after working and travelling all day, I didn’t request a different room (which I doubt would be better or available anyways as they were booked online) The carpets need cleaned and this bed needed replaced as you can see it has sunken in on the left side (viewing) The rooms and ceilings are not sound proofed at all, you can hear everything The front desk staff were great at check-in though Edit, I didn’t stay here more than a few hours, I tried But the dog hair caused an allergic reaction for me, so I left and ended up sleeping in my car at a rest area The front desk (different than check-in) stated, “well we are pet friendly” Pet friendly does not mean, we have an excuse not to clean the rooms, to include the sheets that had dog hair too In fact, not only does this tell me you hardly vacuum your floors, but you don’t shampoo the carpets which should be done after every pet stay The fact that I didn’t get refunded, is infuriating and I am going to contact IHG about it

Linda Hostetter

Convenient location, good staff Sheets and towels clean BUT, if you charge a $50 pet fee you should clean the floors thoroughly

Our room looked spotless at first glance but the minute I had opened the door the smell almost knocked me over! Pretty certain it was because the carpet had not been cleaned after the last pet had peed all over it I realize stains can be left behind but the smell shouldn’t be The people cleaning have continuously pushed the dirt from the bathroom floor into the corners Piled about 1/2 inch thick in the corner So disappointed this trip in the IHG hotels we have stayed in That is why we usually search for a major competitor thst charges less for dogs and for the most part does a better job of cleaning

We were passing through and needed to find a comfortable, not expensive place to stay the night There were many hotels choices in this area but this Holyday Inn stood out thanks to other people’s reviews That’s why I consider important to write about my own experiences because I rely on them as well

For starters, they offer a variety of discounts (AAA, etc) as well as complementary water and beer when checking in They also have a Bistro restaurant with a bar/lounge area More than enough parking spaces Very clean and nice rooms Breakfast buffet $1 per person (although we didn’t stay for it) The staff was very attentive and polite, especially the front desk guy that checked us in He made us feel welcomed Sorry, I didn’t get his name but this for the hotel management: we stayed in room 610 on the evening of July 31st, 2022 It was a pleasant experience and I hope with the pictures I’m posting, it will let other fellow travelers know this hotel is a great choice

J Mack

Great stay I was in town for a couple days and booked online I’m really picky about cleanliness

I was very happy with what I found The room was spotless Great supply of soap, towels and coffee 2 elevators so I never had to wait for one The pool was clean The staff were very friendly My only concern was locating it It sits behind a couple less than desirable hotels Don’t pass it up It’s worth seeking out

Bubble Tea

I had a pleasant stay here The hotel was fully renovated and clean They provided free water, laundry powder, and beer

Yes, free beer as of Mar 3, 2022 And the lady at the front desk was very friendly The only thing I don’t like is that they charged $1 for breakfast excluding drinks Compared to other free breakfast this one isn’t that special The hotel should just have shared the cost with the restaurant and make breakfast included in the rent

Booked hotel last min, got in pretty late Check in was a breeze Lobby was clean

Room was very nice Clean, comfortable and pretty spacious Bathroom was updated, the barn door with glass was cute but you could still the silhouette of person and the light at night could bother a light sleeper Did not participate in breakfast but check out easy and employees were very friendly

Katelyn Seaba (DCFM)

By far the best breakfast out of any spring hill suites we have been to Also the workout area had cardio equipment AND weights with benches The pool area was well maintained and a good size

This is one of the best Spring Hill suites we have stayed at!! The front desk even have some dog treats for our pup! So many shopping and eating options within walking distance as well (You can see most of them from the parking lot) If we are ever back in the area, we will be staying here!

Roger Register

We started staying here right after it opened on our trips to visit family and friends due to its central location on the north side of Tallahassee However, the quality of the rooms and overall hotel continues to decrease The carpet in the hallways is stained and dirty, tile in the bathroom needed a good scrubbing, the reading light by the bed didn’t work, the phone didn’t work and we lost internet streaming capability

Staff was informed of the non working items Their response: 1 reading light requires complete new part as the light is a single unit – no bulb or spare unit available; 2 phones were out in half of the hotel and phone company notified (3 days with no room phone); and streaming service typically goes out during rain storms and staff has no idea cause or how to fix issue Well folks, this is Florida and it rains most ever afternoon during the summer One would think management would have found a solution to the intermittent outage but no!This will be our last stay at this hotel A shame as its location was excellent but at today’s prices one expects a functioning hotel of this quality to provide all advertised amenities and services

We had to go through two rooms before we got a good one The first had blood on the towel and the AC wasn’t working The second had bed bugs and when we called up the room service to deal with it she said it was fine and that there were no bugs in the room

The only reason we stayed in the third room was that there was just white stuff on the curtains and nothing else The only good part of this hotel was the pool and the breakfast as well as some of the other staff

Meghan Mccrossin

The staff, especially Tiara and Eric were absolutely phenomenal!!! Made the entire stay so enjoyable! Tiara with her contagious smile in the morning and Eric going above and beyond behind the front desk (while dressed amazing) The hotel could use a little love, bathroom smelt a little moldy, but overall very happy with the stay, even if it was filled with a bunch of girls soccer teams!!

Michael Novak

Maria the hostess at the counter was absolutely amazing She was such a nice lady And treated my family and I so nicely

I told her that I would love to give her a 10 to 15 star rating if I could Just because of her kindness Management should really appreciate her great work And speaking of Management she should be considered for a promotion or a good raise in her pay for the great work she does Maria you are great and it was so great to meet you God bless you and your familyVery respectfully,Michael Novak

We were very happy with this location Family of 5 stayed in 2 Bedroom suite Terry at the front desk was very friendly and the bartender was super nice

The dock out back was pretty and the basketball court and pool were perfect for wearing the kids out from a long drive There also happened to be a nacho bar the night we stayed Friendly and helpful staff all around Great job!

BHD USA

We were traveling back to our home in TN and stayed 1 night We were very pleased with the room that we were given It was clean and spacious

The bathroom with its new shower was spotless The bed was comfortable The kitchen area had new appliances, granite counter tops, new cabinetry and flooring We were especially impressed with the cleanliness overall The only gig was that even though the front desk staff were courteous and professional they lacked a bit of the welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable vibe that you would expect The breakfast support staff were very friendly and went out of their way to ensure our breakfast was perfect We’re giving this a 5 because we were very impressed overall, and would definitely come again in the future Highly recommend

Sarah Ashleigh

Breakfast was amazing! We had a two bedroom suite The kitchen was awesome The room came with 2 packs of popcorn as well as coffee

All parking spaces were narrow The employees were friendly and helpful Breakfast included a variety of breads, jellies, Nutella, peanut butter… they also had scrambled eggs, sausage patties, grits, corned beef hash, a oatmeal bar with lots of toppings, fresh fruit, and waffles The sausage was the best!!!

This is a nice hotel with super nice staff The place is modern and attractive and the breakfast was fantastic Best omelette ever

The only down side was we were on ground floor and besides being loud the screen appeared to have been pulled off the window several times and had holes which made us nervous Also bathroom needed a bit more cleaning

Mark Poole

This was the WORST experience I have ever had at a hotel I’m a frequent traveler, but the front desk staff had ZERO care about anything

I confirmed several times prior to the visit that our room would be ready prior to our arrival It was important because I was traveling for a work event and had my family with me I was assured it would be, but it wasn’t They are completely unorganized and the front desk staff couldn’t have been worse They were literally doing the bare minimum Customer care overall was completely a mess and it took several days to even speak with anyone who could actually try to help Once they did and finally agreed to a small refund they even managed to mess that up! Overpromised and way undelivered The hotel is just OK, but all of this would have been avoided if they just offered some basic customer service Hard pass on this hotel there are way to many other options that would be way better! – UPDATE : Corporate was not helpful and neither was the management company

John Everett

The room we had was okay however when we went for breakfast the next morning they said they had to look it up and see if we had that in our package For $156 I would have thought breakfast would have been included But when we asked about it the girl behind the desk jumped on the phone so I left

We went to Waffle House and it was great Last time I spent $156 for one night and a hotel and don’t even get a complimentary breakfast

She goes over and beyond the call of duty! I can definitely see management in her future I honestly feel like I’ve been knowing the staff forever Everyone is so amazing!

This place was a nice stop off for a night There was a few issues being, the appliances weren’t working (toaster, coffee machine, tv), the room wasn’t vacuumed, and the breakfast was ok But the rooms were big and good priced, the staff was very friendly, the bedding and towels were clean, and the soap was nice

Overall it wasn’t the best hotel but it wasn’t the worst

Ian is the BEST employee of this company EVER! I saw this guy working over 24 hours straight from a shift of 7am on Friday – Feb 18 until Saturday – Feb 19, 10am Marriott PLEASE have a mercy of your employees!!!! Recognize your employees! This dude always with a big smile, very attentive to details, running from the front desk to the coffee bar, multitasking on doing making coffee for the guests and check ins / check outs due the shortage of employees I spoke with the manager about it and she said that this property will have a renovation in May 2022

Hopefully a big renovation can be made The property is very old, especially the rooms, no isolation, you can hear people talking to the room near to yours, breakfast is really poor, they offer only muffins and coffee, no options of fruits or omelette and also breakfast is not included You pay over 3 dollars for just a black coffee that many other Marriott properties offer for free No water in the rooms, def this Property deserves a HUGE revamp The only reason of my 5 Star Review is because of the employees, specifically IANCintia Silva

Dirty Each floor has a “community microwave” located where the ice machines are We stayed for 7 nights and the same spill and food someone left that was there on day 1 was still there on day 7

The floors also look like they haven’t been mopped in months After the first two nights of not getting housekeeping service in our room, we asked at the front desk They mentioned that their policy is if you want housekeeping service, you have to notify them at least 24 hours prior to We asked for housekeeping for the following day but no one came the next day either and I eventually had to go down to get clean towels and had to take my own trash out Also, they only have one elevator that is on the oposite side of the complex So unless you don’t mind walking a lot, I would ask for a room somewhat close to the elevator if that matters to you The walls are paper thin and you can hear the guests’ conversations on either side of you Literally every single word of their conversation, so be cognizant on that I’m not sure where they got the pictures to display online… It’s definitely not this property

Very very disappointing I asked then to clean the shower and let them know how disappointed I was in the rooms cleanliness I came back from work the same day and still the same

I even called to remind them to please make sure it gets cleaned Then the guy at the counter when I mentioned it to him said “well you’ll just have to wait till tomorrow” After I checked out and got one hour down the road I called the hotel and asked them if they would put my brand-new $300 shoes up for me until I came back the following week They told me they did not find any shoes in the room And I know exactly where I left them This place will steal from you when you are not looking A bunch of thievesI will never stay at this place again Matter fact I may cancel my Hilton honors account because of this Nobody wants to shower in a nasty shower and I expected better customer service Will def not be coming back to this hotel

We were guest at the Hampton Inn from Thursday, June 16 through June 19 We arrived just after 10 PM on the 16th so we really couldn’t see the facilities When we woke up that morning headed down to the continental breakfast and realize that the hotel was under some type of renovation

While I check in we were not informed that the pool was out of order or told that they were running low on towels and hygiene essentials etc because of previous experiences in different hotels we always bring our own stuff and this time we were glad we had it The breakfast was cold almost looked like it was reheated and there was barely an option for guest with different food allergies The beds are extremely uncomfortable and feel very old like they have never been replaced In our room we had a king size bed and in the middle of the The mattress was a huge bump that easily told us that this bed had not been replaced for many years The pull out couch was just as bad or even worse of a condition When we decided to open it for out child we noticed that the head rest and back has never been clean or dusted The mattress inside the pull out couch was old and would not be appropriate for anyone over the age of five to sleep on because you could feel the springs and the material was just old We asked about getting a pillow for our child and they told us we already had 4 pillows that would be sufficient Let’s not talk about the co dictions of the pillows They were absolutely horrible and the size was probably for toddlers The next day We inquired about the conference room in order to have a team bonding dinner and once again we were told it was under renovation and cannot be utilized The second day I went back and I asked about laundry services and at this time all I was being instructed to do was to cross over to their sister hotel home woods suites Needless to say We are extremely dissatisfied We should have been informed of the conditions of the hotel especially having no pool access when the temperatures were extremely high and when you travel with children that’s the one thing they look forward too When I addressed the manager Cassandra of course she blamed it on the IT department for not updating the website Still she didn’t want to talk about my concerns and said the best she Could do was to talk to the sister hotel next door and for us to be allowed to use their Amenities I can truly say that this will be the last time that we will stay at this hotel for any future travels in that area which we will be doing a lot during the next year

This place is the second best hotel I have ever stayed in The parking is plentiful, the hotel is clean, the humidity is low, beds are comfortable, the bathroom is really nice and the shower is great The breakfast is the best I’ve had

So many choices there is no way someone can’t find something they like The reason why it’s the second best is because the top choice had fruit infused water in the lobby and this hotel only has plain, chilled water (still good though) 10/10 would definitely recommend

Great place!!Very conscious of health & safetyI had no hot water on my last 24 hours and had to plunge my own toilet when a child overloaded it with paper And that is why I rated lower than I usually would

And side note: Fairfield/ Marriott, PLEASE change your powdered eggs and gross sausage patties for breakfast!! Try it & you’ll agree

Normally we love Home2suites, but this one of the worst home2suites we have stayed at The room was so worn out Mold all over the bathtub, it had two shower heads, but one didn’t work and was completely calcified and not cleaned

There were two handles to turn the shower on and one of them was so poorly installed it felt like it was gonna fall out of the wall Wallpaper was bubbling, peeling, and stained The AC didn’t work properly and was very humid in the room Everything felt damp, the sheets, the blankets and the carpet Stuff was just broken, the TV stand was cracked with the metal base exposed in several spots, the toilet paper roll holder was so loose and separating from the wall There was missing tile base boards in the bathroom A lot of little things It was difficult to sleep well

The hotel lobby is lovely but it ends when you go to your room Our shower was not clean – my husband found globs of hair not just one strand The furniture was dirty and the bed was not comfortable

Walls were thin like others mentioned On the positive side, the staff was very accommodating and friendly The breakfast was a typical hotel breakfast nothing special

Ugh! I wish I had read these reviews before I booked We were staying in Tallahassee and needed a hotel that accepted pets As an Honors member, I just booked it

My experience was as other reviewers had mentioned The room didn’t feel clean The shower had muck in it, the front of the dishwasher was dirty, the room had a funky smell Items in the room were damaged, the carpet was coming up, the window treatment was tornBased upon my experience and other reviews – it makes you wonder what the $75 “pet cleaning fee” goes towardI agree with others the walls are so thin you can hear everything in your roomOn the positive, the staff was friendly, the room was large, and the hotel is in a good location

The hotel needs some attention to detail; it was not up to a DoubleTree standard and not a good value for the room rate The hotel had a number of flaws that could be easily fixed with touch-up paint or cleaning The parking deck was difficult to navigate

On the positive side, there were plenty of bars and restaurants in walking distance, and the hotel staff was very gracious I am likely to stay at another hotel in the future

I loved this hotel! The design in black and white with a mix of modern and vintage style mixed beautifully It immediately reminds you of Alice in Wonderland The customer service was THE BEST! From when we arrived the front desk employee was incredibly sweet and friendly

The room we took unfortunately had an AC that wouldn’t go past 76° so we called the front desk and they sent a gentleman up in less than 5 mins They changed our room quickly and the gentleman was so polite and professional The rooftop bar also had great service I highly recommend this hotel

Absolutely horrible experience We rented, in advance, a room with 2 beds The room we got had one bed, along with a ‘sorry that’s all we have’

The air conditioner in the room sounded like a washing machine, all night The pillows were flat like pancakesThe room adjoining room was filled with teenagers, who repeatedly tried to come through the connecting door, and figured they might as well partyThere is absolutely nothing around this hotel within walking distance Obviously that isn’t the fault of the hotel, but you should be prepared to drive if you want anything at all Even the sole vending machine in the hotel is ancient, only taking quarters So come prepared, or get nothing

The room was VERY clean 👌 and a nice touch was the TV was on with a personalized welcome message We were located on the first floor near the front breakfast area I was concerned we would be able to hear commotion in the lobby come morning time and was pleasantly surprised we couldn’t hear a thing in the morning outside our room Let me add the beds are very comfortable the room had plenty of towels for 3 in our stay The breakfast from the Cafe was superb my kiddo loved the eggs and bacon we loved the fresh coffeeWill definitely recommend

I had a great experience here The rooms are nice, updated, everything in it worked well But mainly I wanted to highlight the staff

Everyone I interacted with from the ladies at the front desk to the maintenance guy, they were all very nice My room was facing the front of the hotel and it did get pretty loud at night hearing cars driving on I’m assuming the highway, but that’s not a huge deal I would definitely stay here again and just hope to get a room not facing the front Great experience though
