Coming from the Albuquerque area, I called to make sure I can check in early 11 – 11:30am The front desk said, “we will have a room available for you” I got there at 11:30am

I was told rooms were not available My children and I ate lunch outside on the premises I had an appointment at noon that I pushed out an hour 12:30 I asked the front desk lady if we can check in She replied,” I have not gotten a report from my cleaning staff” 15 minutes later I asked if she has an update, I needed to figure out what to tell my appointment She gave the same answer I had to take my children to my appointment Once it was over, we hung out in the lobby until 3pm I was not able to see any customers My day was over The reason I stayed is to maximize my time to see customers To top it off, there was a couple who arrived around 2:30pm that received a room before us I will no longer stay at that hotel after that experience

Michael Shroll

The hotel had ongoing maintenance which is not a problem for me knowing they’re improving the facilitiesThe staff overall provided excellent service and went above and beyond to accommodateCynthia was especially helpful with the reservation changes we had during our stay

Her computer knowledge and willingness to help saved us a lot of headaches

Pablo Arias

Stayed for 2 nights during spring break We are satisfied with the hotel and staff The hotel is a bit outdated, but the rooms are renovated and the common areas are comfortable and welcoming

The beds are comfortable, nice pillows and comfy blankets The bathroom tub is losing the paint and makes it look ugly, but it was clean WiFi worked great and the and breakfast had multiple options The light roast coffee was actually way better than expectedWe had a great experience with the staff at the hotel, but a terrible experience with one of them prior to the stay I made reservations through my company perks website, which used Bookingscom For some reason the reservation got split into 2 reservations, one for each room The staff at the hotel could not find one of the reservations I had to go back and forth between Bookinscom and Hilton until finally they solved the problem (It took days) Everything was sooth except the 2 times I had to talk to the person at the hotel, which was extremely and unnecessarily rude She basically was not trying to help me resolve the problem but kept repeating what I already knew and treating me codependently I did not caught her name but saw her during my stay and recognized her voice She looked pretty unhappy, and was smoking a lot outside I guess she might be going through a difficult timeI would certainly recommend and most likely would stay here if I come back to Taos

The Inn at La Loma Plaza was a true oasis! Peggy, owner & hostess supreme, accommodated our last minute reservation with grace and warmth After a week of camping, it was a rainy night and we were happy to be in the well-appointed inn with all its homey amenities The room was well-equipped and comfortable and quiet

Breakfast was delicious (eggs florentine, sausage, toast, fresh fruit, coffee, juice and banana bread!) We we walked to dinner at Fleming’s at Peggy’s recommendation and had an amazing dinner Only wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy the beautiful tranquil grounds Highly recommend! I really liked the hotel, where my room was located, it was quiet and the grounds were well kept They are pet-friendly and the staff is friendly I did have an issue with our reservation, they had us down for one night when we had made reservations for 2, so we ended up locked out of our room

The lady at the front desk waited for the manager to get off the phone to help (by the way there was another person who had been locked out of their room waiting) but the manager didn’t seem concerned, so the front desk lady just let us in our room Also, the extra blanket and pillow were not sealed in a bag and looked dirty But overall, I did like my stay

J Kimbrough

The restaurant, Palette, is pretty good here I notice a lot of locals come for breakfast The dinner menu could do with a soup or lighter choice other than salad

The staff are great The reason for three stars is the property needs something extra for the extra price It reminded me of a Hampton Inn inside the rooms Clean and serviceable, but nothing that feels like a special “collection” Also, since it is a few miles out of village-center, it would be more worth the price if it had that extra oomph in the rooms or an outdoor garden/sitting area

Diwakar Goel

I wish could give negative remarks If I get the opportunity, Hotel should improve on following-Make hotel staff honest with customer and try to resolve issues, instead of redirecting to their manager with excuse-Keep room service & room cleanliness-Do what they say? Instead of just moving customer in circles

-This is bad behavior to just dropped the call and don’t pickup There should be curtsey to their customers-Hotel should only make required charges, they need to learn maths Don’t just call out credit for doing wrong math I did correct them 3 times during my stay and still needed to follow up several times to correct-Restaurant – I wish could have fresh food cooked It taste like “Ready to eat” and being told this is what it is and there is nothing better Their rooms have smoke smell and their room service is not available or takes hours to respond

Chris Britton

The hotel is definitely historic and has a charm to it and the location is good the room was clean and looked good However that’s all the good I can say about it we check in and turn the A/C on in a 80°F room and unload the car We wait an hour and the temperature only goes up so we talk to the front desk and they don’t have any extra rooms but give us a box fan

For an 80-85° room for 250$+ a night no refunds The front desk lady was nice offered us drinks and the manger even revoked that idea In short, stay for the history but don’t assume you will get a functioning room If you have a choice get a new room or at least check to make sure things work first

Branson Lee

Very old building but has a nice touch when it comes to decor The staff was friendly and although booking messed up my reservation the manager made it right The rooms private and quaint but they do not have a microwave or a coffee machine

There was also no hair dryer This hotel is haunted and there is a lot of activity throughout the night Room 109 has the lady in white, whom we definitely saw! Over all we had a great stay and would definitely be back!

Steve Kahley

I feel like a few touches would have made it a better experience we were there for the weekend to ski there were only two towels the room is on the very rustic side there were only two hangers in the closet i feel like a few touches like a radius shower curtain in a few more amenities would have made a big difference It felt very motel 6 The staff was extremely friendly and it’s a pleasant place to have a drink

Lynn

The room was neat, clean, large and welcoming with little amenities you wouldn’t normally think of The staff was friendly and helpful Our room had a lovely view of the plaza

The only reason I wouldn’t give it 5 stars is because it appears to have been built in stages with each floor multi-levels Even though there is an elevator from the parking lot, you may still have to negotiate stairs with your luggage when coming and going

Jessica Brown

Really great location, located in Taos Plaza which I did not realize before booking It was really great because we just walked everywhere It’s really beautiful around the hotel

Was decently surprised by how well kept the hotel was due to its age I wish the furniture was more true to the culture and style here though Also, I would note that the front desk lady locked the door that leads to the parking lot around 8:30 pm which seemed kind of odd to me nonetheless dangerous I would think

brian smith

This hotel is quintessential Taos, right on the plaza, can walk to everything you need Great staff, flexible and accommodating Hotel is old but clean and well kept, just what you want in Taos IMO

Rooms have all the conveniences you would expect in a modern hotel, but with a Taos vibe, exactly why you should stay here Great coffee shop in lobby No bar in hotel but several nearby This was a ski trip and skiing was awesome

My wife and I stayed at Adobe and Pines the first week of August 2022, with our dog We all really enjoyed out stay Christine and her staff are very friendly and welcoming of us and our dog

The property is beautiful The room was great The courtyard available to our room was a great place to allow our dog out We had access to a private hot tub that was well welcomed after our regular hikes and other outdoor activities (Please be aware that access to a hot tub and/or courtyard is dependent upon the room you choose)Christine creates a different breakfast menu every morning that is tasty and unique Many of the items presented are not something I would not necessarily order on my own, I encourage everyone to take this opportunity to expand their palette, as I did Everything was very tasty, even if it may not have been my personal choice walking in But, it is important that to note that if you have special dietary considerations or concerns, all you need to do is let the staff know ahead of time, and they will try to adjustments as they can I think it is also important to note that as many of the ingredients as possible are grown on the property Nothing is quite like fresh juiced apples that you see grown outside your roomChristine is very willing to have conversations with her guests and share ideas and recommendations of activities to partake in while in TaosI requested a wine/cheese/fruit tray to be provided in-room upon arrival It was very good and hit the spot after a long drive in I also requested an in-room massage for my wife after our horse trail ride Christine worked with local talent and coordinated everything for us based on our requestsDefinitely recommend

This review cannot even do justice to how you will feel when stay here The oasis that you walk into is beyond amazing! The breakfast is fresh, healthy and made from love! The staff is beyond kind and attentive We came up for a wedding and the owner invited the bride to come to the zen garden and labyrinth and it was a magical experience! We will be returning, thank you again!

Jason Baker (geneshifter)

My wife and I were staying in town with an airbnb but needed a charge for our Tesla (I forgot my J1772 adapter at home oops!) and so I contacted Christine She was very nice and let us use the charger even though we weren’t even guests there We enjoyed several great hours at the Inn and had some great conversation and coffee and cookies

We plan to come back to Taos and stay at the Inn next time What a wonderful place We are very thankful for Christine and cannot thank you enough for your help See you again soon!

We enjoyed the privacy of the la casa, it is a charming separate apartment Not to be too over the top, LA Posada has nicer bed linens than any Ritz Carlton we’ve stayed in The balloon flight package in the Rio Grande Gorge is spectacular, highly recommended My wife’s quote, “the example of what all boutique inns and B&Bs should inspire to be”

Tread Head

Had a great stay at Alpine Village Suites! Very convenient and essentially ski in/out Was there for a week to ski and relax, the room was great and the service was on point Very accommodating and comfortable place to camp for a week

Ski lockers were convenient, it was nice to have enough of a kitchen to not need to eat out every night, as long as you have enough food/supplies, and fireplace was REALLY efficient Having a separate bedroom was a good option for those that like to sleep in while the rest of us get up to hit the slopes early! My ONLY nit pick is that the hot tub needed to be cleaned of the sand and small rocks

Brian Coniguliaro

We had a great stay here at Alpine The last time we came to Taos we stayed off the mountain and it was annoyingly inconvenient if you’re there on a ski trip, so this time we decided to stay on the mountain and the location of Alpine was SUPER convenient for skiers Their partnership with the ski shop was a plus too!!! We had first time skiers with us and the rental process with them was very good (Comes with a discount and the staff were very knowledgeable about fitting) Alpine also have an on site locker room for ski’s and gear with boot and glove dryers

The front desk guy and girl were very nice and helpful and they had complimentary sleds so we could take kids sledding along with our dog They are a pet friendly place too, which allowed us to bring our furry family member The spa and sauna were perfect for the end of the day after skiing all day The spa area was in a very cool location outside but in a courtyard type setting with a fireplace The sauna was just inside next to the spa and it was all very enjoyable and relaxing Alpine Village made our family ski trip very enjoyable and convenient and we will definitely stay again and recommend to others looking for an “on the mountain” ski lodging

Theresa Torelli

The Alpine Village Suites is a GREAT place to stay if you are skiing Taos ski valley The location is awesome as our ski rentals were basically in the same building where they also stored the skis at no charge There is a VERY short walk to the slopes

We had our dog and she was greeted so warmly The staff is beyond friendly and so helpful Easy walks to coffee, restaurants, ice cream and a GREAT snow shoeing trail We will definitely stay here again

I am so grateful to Chris who helped us book a last minute room when our accommodations fell through My brother and I set up a ski trip to remember our father shortly after his passing We had a mix up in our lodging and Chris, understanding the reason for our trip, helped us find a room for that night

During our stay the Blake exceeded every expectation during our stay! The food was fantastic and the atmosphere provided an extremely elevated experience and the entire staff genuinely cared about making our stay memorable I am so excited to come back next season, The Blake provided the best ski vacation and stay experience I’ve ever encountered

Anthony Rinella

We have visited a number a ski resorts and stayed in alot of nice ski based hotels The Blake is near the top of all the places we’ve been as far as ski on ski off properties go, the hotel is beautiful and the amenities are amazing! You can’t beat the location, the village and lift are right outside the door We stayed in a Deluxe Suite and the room was absolutely beautiful

The service has been outstanding as well I couldn’t recommend this resort highly enough, it’s truly one of the nicest ski / hike based properties in the country

Elle

Conveniently located on the slopes Comfortable large rooms We loved it prior to COVID-19, but things have declined since

At $600+ per night, we expect a certain standard of care No breakfast, not even snacks such as bananas or apples available No water bottles provided, even when asked No lunch restaurant We have had to carry our own skis and luggage to the storage and ski valet areas due to a lack of staffNormally we love the rooms, but have had a bad room in the past The hotel did nothing to rectify the problems and actually argued with us disputing them when there was no doubt the room had issues (which was poor water pressure, had been smoked in, broken make up mirror) I give them credit overall in that we have only had one bad room in dozens of staysUntil they get back to the standard they first delivered, it definitely isn’t worth the price they are asking
