The Courtyard was very clean and three people were very nice and helpful I had messed up my reservations and they helped me out fixing them I stayed 5 days on business

The room was a king room and was clean Everything was in it’s place I had enough towels and on my third day house keeping came in and cleaned up around my luggage and clothes I had laid out They even cleaned around my toiletries It was awesome to see The bed was comfortable and it had a pretty good shower The TV options are good as well The only thing I can say as a negative is the dining was still closed, they said they were opening it up again the week after my stay When I return I will stay at the Courtyard by Marriott in Troy again

I’ve never left a review for a hotel but I just had to I just stayed here for the first time and my stay was GREAT No complaints! Room was super big , and CLEAN

The staff was so FRIENDLY! i left my bathing suite in the room and the lady caught me before pulling off when I got back upstairs the housekeeper had it bagged up for me already! Pool area was clean as well and so as the fitness center! 9/10 , only because I was looking forward to the fire pit being lit I’ll be back

Shannel D. K.

As a travel agent you tend to do a bit of hotel hopping, and I was very pleased with this one as well Wishing I could have stayed a bit longer Loved my room with the balcony and sitting area

I wanted to venture out and sit in the common area around that fire place 😭😭 it looked so relaxing However, no worries I will get to it sooner rather than later Thank you

Exceptional! I adore this Hilton Spotless rooms, pool, common areas, They offer free coffee and other drinks in the lobby And a free breakfast in the morning that is an actual breakfastI Have stayed here half a dozen times in the last 4 months

It is literally a 1/2 hour drive from where I need to be but I enjoy this hotel so much it is worth itI get the king one bedroom suite so that the bedroom can be separated from the little living area and kitchen it is a very nice hotel I would highly recommend it! the staff are exceptional and it is always clean clean clean! They have accommodated me with so many things whether it be early check in or late check out, picking my room or floor, so many little thingsthey have a little pantry so that if you wanna get a snack but don’t want to have to leave the hotel you can charge it to your room It is Everything I have come to expect from the Hilton and you would not be disappointed If you need a room with a kitchenThey also allow you to bring pets, just fyi!

The bad news? It’s dirty, old, and smelly (cigarettes in the room, musty in the hall) The good news? They are starting renovations in a few months Very much in need of a refresh

I hope they get their cleaning crew act up to snuff Great location, I would consider staying again after renovations because the location is great The staff at the front desk is really great

Jeanna Harper

I booked a room on Expedia and asked for two portable cribs in the booking because we were traveling with toddler twins When we arrived, we were not provided with the cribs My husband asked for them and they alleged that they attempted to contact us in the room- but surprise!! The phone in our room didn’t work

In full disclosure, my husband did say the wrong room number, but I guess I assumed they know who is staying in what room I pointed out that I requested the cribs in my booking and they claimed they could not see it because I booked with Expedia Of course So after another request, we finally get the cribs We move furniture to make room for the cribs and found old flaming hot Cheetos, some nasty sticky substance, and a myriad of crumbs I complained about that and was told that housekeeping was gone and that they would put in a request This was Saturday evening Housekeeping didn’t come until some time Monday and that was only because they sent someone to fix the broken phone I told them about so they could call me and ask if I was checking out early the next day ???? How bout you check in to this room with a vacuum cleaner and some cleaning supplies?? I reminded the person harassing us to leave the early that we complained about the dirty room and his response was, “aren’t you leaving tomorrow?” As if we should let the room stay dirty because it’s only one more day They sent housekeeping and all they did was make the beds This was a bad experience I could deal with the outdated rooms, but at least clean them This place is overpriced for the service they give

The night shift front desk lady Pam made this experience amazing She was kind and made sure we were more than satisfied with our stay! I hope the next time I visit she is here to continue making the experience outstanding Also, hotel is great, modern, and amazingly clean

So up to date and the furniture around the hotel literally comes out of a catalog

Amy Plumb

Check in was super easy and fast Warm chocolate chip cookies awaited me upon arrival, and you can’t go wrong with that The hotel was exceptionally clean and quiet

The towels were larger than some of my blankets at home The gym was bigger than most, three treadmills and multiple other machines in there as well as weights and a stretching area I didn’t use any other amenities and didn’t eat on site One of the restaurants on site has a business casual dress code, which I was not prepared for Any staff I interacted with were friendly and helpful When I was there the elevator on my side was not working, which was fine by me because my room was right next to it The parking situation felt a little sketch being in the back of the hotel, but it’s Bloomfield Hills, so I wasn’t too worried As is true for most anywhere in that area, the pavement to the parking lot on both sides is trash, with extremely large potholes all over the place, so beware when driving The drive in the front was intact and smooth

Zed Alhatab

Stayed there for 2 nights !A very clean hotel! One of the most important things for me ! There was no noise I can hear from the other rooms ! Which is a positive point! The staff was very friendly ! Richard Merrill

I stayed at this hotel for 10 nights The staff was so friendly and helpful There were two changes (both my fault) to my plans and they were able to accommodate me perfectly

I needed some special assistance since I became ill during my stay and they were great! The General Manager was kind and friendly as was sweet Lindsey from New Bedford, MA! I wish I knew the gentleman’s name who personally helped me so I could also mention him hereI liked my room It was clean, modern and comfortable

Sally Castillo

It was just okay

not bad but not outstanding either Alot noise in the hallway from workers stayingwe were workers too but had enough sense to not be fighting and arguing in the hallway No grab n go breakfast as advertised I’m not sure what they expect a worker to do with a bag of oatmeal on the go The kitchen was convenient the 2 burner stove was questionable very hard to regulate They provide most of the utensils I had my own At a $100+ a night probably will find something else next work trip

Angel Wright

Our room was a king bed with sofa bed, there was 3 of us, so we did plan to use the sofa bed It was not up to par, let’s say easily from the 80’s, springs showing and all Very, very uncomfortable

Went to the front desk to ask for blankets and sheets and I was told they had no clean blankets 😒 The outdoor pool was a perk for us and found out when we arrived that it was closed Our room smelled heavily of paint and the hallway, well you see the pictures We did get a packaged breakfast but I would stay away from the apple juice and orange juice dispencers If you look close you will see mold around the nozzles Needless to say we will not be visiting this place again

Amazing hotel! We travel a lot and nothing compares to the level of service this hotel provides Everyone was so nice and accommodating The cappuccino and coffee at the bar is amazing

The valet will put water and sanitizer in your car when you picked it up They offer free snacks and water in the “pantry” that is located on each floor The beds were very comfortable and the room was beautiful and very cleanA lot of time and thought went into making this hotel feel more like a home and we will be back whenever we are in town again!

Stacie Surette

The Daxton Hotel is a beautiful hotel with a gorgeous lobby and amazing rooms Myself and my husband went for the weekend and the hotel did not disappoint The valet were fast and efficient each time we needed our car and the concierge was top notch

BUT I was very disappointed in the housekeeping We were there for 2 nights, Friday night and Saturday night and housekeeping did not attend our room at any point on Saturday We were gone all day on Saturday, put the sign out to say we would be gone all day and upon our return at 10pm on Saturday night no housekeeping had attended our room For the price you pay for this hotel you should be getting housekeeping services BUT on Sunday morning at 10am there was a knock on the door and it was housekeeping asking if we would be checking out early because they wanted to start cleaning our room Check out was at 11am, not 10am If it wasn’t for these issues the hotel would have been amazing

*** I RARELY WRITE REVIEWS BUT I HAD TO BRAG ABOUT THIS HOTEL****This is undoubtedly one of the best hotels we have ever stayed at The customer service was beyond our expectations from the moment we pulled up to check in until we departed Every single person was genuine, professional, attentive and so much fun

The hotel is absolutely gorgeous, our room was fantastic and the time we spent was so enjoyable We will be BACK!!! A very special shout out to the gentleman at the restaurant check in who got me 2 cups of coffee while I waited for the coffee to brew! Another shout to the managing director Raj Radke ** took the time out to show us the gorgeous gold plated mechanical horse and tell us the history of the hotel and fabulous art! Shout out to the hotel manager and all the guys working the luggage and valet! The nicest and most personable !! I especially love the giant pink bunny !!!

Not a good experience at all First room had a hair tie on the restroom floor, corners of the restroom has a lot of dirt in them, pillow case has stains on them and there was other debris on the floor through out the room Clearly this room was not cleaned prior to use going to it

We were given another room only to find the same thing The bathroom had toothpaste on the wall near the sink the back of the entrance door looked like it had not been cleaned in a long time, the window looking out looked like it had not been cleaned since the hotel opened My wife attempted to make tea but the brown clumps and dirty water that came out of the pot was disgusting I try to not leave negative reviews but this needed to be shared For the price we paid, I was not happy at all with the level of cleanliness in this hotel I will say the people at the front desk were very nice and the lady that waited on us in the restaurant was great For the price this was a complete rip off, not to mention the breakfast was $18 and about the same thing we usually get for free at other hotels Sorry Marriot tried, but will not be back

Room 243 is completely infested with ants and flying ants Im disappointed of the fact out of all rooms, they put me in this particular room that’s infested I feel like I’ve been setup

I couldn’t even sleep at night with them flying around And I used my loyalty points to only stay for 2 nights and this is the kind of service I get for being an elite member customer I should get a refund but I know they’re too stingy to do that I won’t be coming back here again

1st room smelled awful and had to change rooms Went half asleep to grabbing coffee this morning to have Anna the breakfast attendant ask me if I was alright Her tone was so off I asked why and she said I didn’t look alright

Way to start the day of a guests vacation The rooms were breaking apart from the wear and tear The 1st bathroom was missing the seal partially and literally pieces of the floor and frame were breaking up with holesGrateful to be moved to the 2nd room Annoying to let management know what happened with Sara the attendant and he said no she just doesn’t understand English She spoke to me in English telling me I do not look good yet for some reason she doesn’t understand English and I am wrongMy boyfriend spoke to her in Spanish and she told him in English exactly where the garbage was The front desk just tried to make things better with lies obviously and made it worse

Good service and clean rooms! when booking I thought there was a restaurant on site, there wasn’t but the hot breakfast buffet was good! Pool was clean but small, they should enforce people to dress properly in the pool, I went in with my kids and a woman was in the pool with no undergarments on and just a beige t-shirt

Other than that we had a great stay!

Nathan Eberhard

We were greeted courteously upon entry, the overall check-in process went smooth All of the rules were explained thoroughly and prompt, our room was clean and smelled nicely The beds were comfortable and clean! There was also a note from Corporate stating that the entire 2nd floor corridor had freshly cleaned carpets on May 10 & 11th, all rooms included, which was a nice refresher as well

They have nice offerings for complimentary breakfast The entire pool/jacuzzi tub area was clean and modernOverall I would give this property a 5 ⭐

Jacob Vankempen

Hotel was decent We splurged on a last minute trip and picked this hotel for the pool so the kids could swim a bit before bed We looked for a bell or something before the desk clerk came over from the restaurant after a minute

The pool was an absolute train wreck It would have been OK but one family was busy destroying it Kids throwing all the towels in the pool Jumping off the handicapped chairs into the pool Screaming and soaking every square inch It’s not a large area and there was nowhere to even sit They had soaked and were splashing all the furniture, every inch of floor, and constantly running in and out of the pool area There was a river running into the hall and lobby I had nowhere to even set my shirt and key and ended up leaving to get dinner instead of stand around dodging the tsunamiThe property was probably nice It seemed recently renovated But some closer attention by the staff seemed needed The pool borders the lobby Paying attention for guests at the desk and the goings on in the pool area should be a little more of a priority

Showed up after an event let out of Ford Field at 9:30 ish, took us about an hour to get out of down town and to this hotel They gave us two key cards, we opened the room and found a family in the room and it looked like they had been living there for a while Came down to the front desk and the night guy said something like, “they gave your room away

” Asked if we could do a king bed for the four of us We said absolutely not Next room he went and checked first and there were people in that room too Finally gave us a key to room 210 and no one was in the room, but the TV did not work and there were scary water stains on the ceiling They moved us across the hall to 211 The room was a handicap accessible room, so there was a walk in shower with no lip or edge which flooded the bathroom every time you used it Also there were broken tiles and I am sure there is a huge water stain on the ceiling of the room belowBreakfast was awesome, but the police came for a group of young ladies and remained until the ladies finished their foodabout an hourOverall I would not recommend the placewalls were thin and people were running up and down the halls at around 2:30 amIt was clean in the rooms – the shared areas needed a good vacuuming and elevators were full of trash

Glenn Fielder

Haven’t stayed here in years but thought we’d give it a try again Front desk was pleasant and got us going to our room quickly Room furniture is looking well worn, same for bathroom as there is mildew on tile grout and tub looks like Breaking Bad filmed there

Also had to fix a broken curtain for privacy Next morning there were beer cans in the hallway and wife complained that breakfast was not good Wife went down to check the fitness room and pool and was back quickly stating both areas were filthy Came back later that evening and trash cans were overflowing and our floor sounded like party central Best part was, we got to our room and neither of our key cards would unlock our door, so back down to the front desk to get them replaced Next morning, we check the breakfast again and just about everything is gone and they say they are cooking more Just left and got breakfast elsewhere

Rachel Spencer

I love my rooms especially the jacuzzi suite my rooms were cleaned very helpful the manager was very helpful with accommodations because when I first arrived one of my rooms wasn’t cleaned wasn’t happy but we made it happened by cleaning one of our connected suites ourself The jacuzzi was nice and relaxing I shall say the beds were comfortable I had to make some accommodations because of my injuries so they made sure that they make they beds were comfortable for me by giving me extra pillows the pool was nice clean warm water Alexis was very nice too I ♥️her etc

the breakfast was good too especially the pancake maker will be coming back soon

I stayed 21 days with my wife in a 1 bedroom suite, overall it was quite good I also came to this hotel about 10 years ago and it is still about the same It is nice to have a small kitchen but in two people you start seeing how limited this kitchen really is

I did not try to borrow additional kitchen stuff (I am sure I could get something more) The difference from my previous stays is that everything is 10 years older now, and you start seeing wear and tear in about everything, as maintenance cannot really keep it working well without an actual remodeling Cleaning is ok, staff are friendly and helpful The price for the stay is lower than the competitors, cost x benefit still seems to be better here I cannot give a better rating this time as I got minor issues with my room, I reported the first one in the first day but it was not fixed (toilet was slowly leaking /flushing water and every couple minutes I could hear the reservoir being filled again) Card readers also don’t work well from time to time (I had to walk around the building in the snow just to try another door) Please improve your maintenance, if a guest notifies about something, please try harder to fix it Thanks and good work!

Marita Notaro

Nice bathroom Pretty clean Fairly new, but cabinets and furniture are starting to get a little beat up

Loved the bathroom and it was clean except for a bit of dust here and there, no biggy Walls had a few smudges, but again, not a big deal to me as long as the rest is clean The only thing that really bothered me was that the hallways smelled and the room smelled even worse I wish I could tell you what it was, but honestly I haven’t ever come across that odor before I’m very sensitive to odors though, so it might not bother most people We were on a month long road trip and washing machines and driers were free! We really appreciated that The bed and pillows were comfortable, and the towels were clean and excellent quality All in all a pretty nice place to stay

I don’t understand the bad reviews I think you either gotta be either real nit picky, silver spoon fed, or just miserable You can’t please everybody

I had a great nights sleep The mattress is more firm but I love that They don’t have a fridge or microwave but no big deal The bathroom is a little tight but clean and manageable Overall my wife and I had no issues, we’re satisfied, and will return Overall great value

So we held a conference here for miniature games It was nice and clean The staff was very polite and helpful

I ordered my food from the hotel and it was wrong it was missing the bacon on the bacon burger Rather then give me bacon they remade my whole order Which was great hot and fresh The price was $15 for fries and a burger A little high but it always is from the hotel kitchen The only outrageous price was the cans of soda at 250 a can All in all it was a good location to hold this event I did not stay at the hotel myself as I live 20 minutes away so need to

The hotel is barely 3-star Overall nice, not an ugly hotel by any measure, but too dark and not welcoming Not attractive

My floor’s corridor and my room constantly smelled like someone had smoked there (mix of pot and tobacco) The bedsheets are clean, housekeeping is effective and well-executed The nightly rate is competitive for this area of Michigan, which makes this hotel a good choice

I attended a beautiful wedding reception at the Townsend Hotel this weekend The venue was incredible, beautiful flowers, incredible food and drink, and service that was top notch The reason for my review, however, is the lengths the staff went to help me in a funny if not embarrassing incident

I realized that the underside of my shoe had come unglued, making walking quite awkward, and dancing of course, impossible I limped toward the main desk and Sean, the concierge, immediately took note of the problem and radioed his engineer, asking for adhesive Jay, the engineer, appeared with gorilla glue and proceeded to reassemble my shoe including pressing on it and blowing it dry All the while, both were attempting to make me feel less embarrassed and could not have been kinder Believe this or not but after an hour on the dance floor, my other shoe fell victim and once again the staff at the Townsend Hotel jumped to my rescue and repaired it as well Sean and Jay as well as the team at the desk could not have been kinder They helped me make light of the situation and insured that I could revisit the dance floor in no time and enjoy the spectacular wedding Thank you to the wonderful staff at the Townsend Hotel I will honestly never forget your kindness

This location isn’t convenient but it’s worth the experience I’m a Marriott kind of person but this hotel is an awesome hotelRooms seem sound proof, bellman were astoundingly amazing carrying my luggage with such care

The restaurant service is awesome I only at breakfast there The breakfast was typical but service made it taste greatI will stay here again

Beautiful hotel in the heart of Birmingham We loved being a short walk from restaurants whether it was a pastry for breakfast, a slice of pizza for lunch, or Bella Piatta for a great dinner across the street Our room was very comfortable but what stood out to me was the shower

Such a great shower! The only downside… as someone who likes to always have a glass of ice water nearby, I didn’t like having to request ice from the bellman

Stayed here for two weeks to work I enjoyed it, small kitchen, living room and a little desk for me to work at I love the bedroom is separated from the rest of room, helps keep my mind on track

Small things they can upgrade but room is clean and bed is comfortable Employees are all extremely nice and helpful Basketball court, you can check out a basketball and 24hr gym Great for those that work odd hours I will definitely stay here again

TheMsashleynicole86

Had a two bedroom suite and loved that each room had its own bathroom and a large living room Kitchen was kinda small and the whole place definitely could use some upgrades It could have been a tad bit cleaner and there were a few broken items but mostly from it being older is probably why

It was definitely comfortable and worth the price Was also given a late check out with no problem because of a snow storm And front desk staff was friendly and brought requested items quickly Would definitely stay again

The location to my work site and having a kitchen is what drew me to this hotel I was in town for work and have specific dietary needs For this reason, this was the most attractive option

The pictures looked decent and the kitchen served its purpose, but that’s allThe room was dingy to start with There was dust behind furniture, trash under the bed, and cobwebs in the corners One of the closet doors was off the hinges and just sitting against the closet The carpet needs to be deep cleaned or replaced The Furniture also had stains Also, the stove was still greasy from a previous guests cooking endeavors Makes me wonder if my sheets were even fresh 🤔I stayed for 5 days so my trash filled up I was told to just set the bag outside my door for pickup It stayed there almost 2 days No extra trash bags were in the room and in order to get one, as well as fresh towels, I had to pick them up from the front desk myself When i asked them about the room cleaning schedule, they told me they only clean occupied rooms every 7 days That would have been nice to know when I checked inI checked out on a Friday and thought I may have left something behind I called over 24 hours later to ask if anything was found in the room and was told they’d call me back after they cleaned it I called again the next day and they still hadn’t cleaned the room Either this hotel is severely understaffed or they aren’t very clean Either way I don’t think I’ll be choosing them again

Our two night stay was quite enjoyable and a good value The location of the hotel is very nice and the desk staff were all professional and efficient Our room in the tower overlooked the courtyard and landscaping below

Beds were comfortable and the bathroom was small but clean Elevators were always available and quite fast The included breakfast in their restaurant was wonderful and the atmosphere was comfortable and not rushed Our server Dee was truly a professional treat!

Room was mostly clean Sofa bed had old sheets from previous others, some hair in the shower It’s just okay, nothing spectacular

Staff was nice Bathrooms are on the hallway side really closely with thin walls You can hear literally everything happening outside in those bathroomsIt’s an okay hotel, but wouldn’t return Not much to really do here for the price but it’s clearly for professionals staying short term

Our son and daughter in law’s wedding reception was at the Somerset Inn on Saturday… it was SUPERB! My husband is blind so they hired a hostess to help him thru the buffet line and attend to his needs Like keeping him up on his ice water, sodas, coffee etc She was so sweet! She even took my 86 yr old Mom to the restroom

She also attended the Bridal party table and many others The food was excellent and the hotel rooms were spacious and lovely the cocktail hour before reception went well too We were thrilled with the entire weekend The hotel staff was very courteous and fun

Purple plasma Dragon

Cons: Fridge doesn’t work and smells so bad I think it’s been broken for a while TV doesn’t work We booked 2 queens, they gave us a king suite with a pull out sofa bed

They blamed it on PricelinePros: the 1 bed is nice Room is clean Pool area is nice Breakfast is good Fitness center very nice for a hotel Overall worth the price

Munches Patterson

The pool had way to much chlorine, it was unbearable without the door being open the whole time and even that was not enough There was a hint of racism in the air with some of the other guest We had to change rooms late at night because the hot water did not work in the shower

The breakfast was mediocre at best My initial room was way better then the upgrade! I would not recommend this hotel to anyone nor would I stay here ever again!!!

Comfortable place to stay Very nice and helpful staff Short stay looks great

Long stay is below average due to cleaning once a week Free gym and pool is great, even if they are not very big, usefull enough for the basics Building is kind of old If you like modern style hotels this is not your place Breakfast is free but it is really bad and same everyday 4/jul/2022

Allena Williams

I give this place 4 for 3 reasons 1 The breakfast WAS NOT tasty

Unfortunately I had to throw it away 2 There was an open soap and used shampoo bottle in the bathroom 3 My husband and I woke up with out backs hurting from the bed When we informed the attendant about the bed she did apologize and stated they are about to remodel the hotel She did offer us something free from the snack station for the I convience
