Our family truly enjoyed our stay at this hotel! I’m a little late on writing the review, but I had read reviews before our stay and noticed that some had mentioned they appreciated the great service from Greta, which was kind of surprising that there was a specific employee’s name mentioned in several reviews

but then, I met Greta!!! I met her at check in and she was the sweetest! She made sure we had a wonderful room and that everything was perfect for our stay! My only regret is that I shoved the paper with her name aside as often happens when traveling, and didn’t write this review sooner I hope Comfort Inn realizes what they have with her as an employee! We didn’t even need anything special or anything, but her kindness and genuine care was spectacular We also had interactions with Brenda, Mary, and Darrylall which offered superior customer service and should be up for a raiseespecially considering the lack of customer service so many places today Anyway, thanks to all these employees, we had a wonderful hotel stay! Thanks Greta, Brenda, Mary, and Darryl Also, the room was super clean, which is a big deal to us!

TT

The staff was amazing! The night shift was so sweet From giving recommendations to where to eat to offering to switch our rooms because the shower door was broke So sweet

I didn’t get there names but they were great!Daryl was at the desk when we checked out and he was so sweet Apologized about the door and seemed genuinely sorry that the door was broke And that there were no bath clothes in the bathroomBreakfast was pretty good But Mrs Brenda was awesome! The gravy was like water with zero flavor The biscuits left you wanting a fluffy biscuit Just not good But had a good selection so not bad over allWe would stay here again Very clean

Very nice hotel Check in was rather quick and the lady explained everything that I needed to know Room is a bit small, but very nice- especially the furniture

Lots of pillows on the bed, which is fantastic! The only issues I had were the sliding doors to the shower were stuck, but we didn’t know until that night Also, the curtains are set in place, so you can’t close them to prevent seeing everything in the parking lot or to stop light from coming in Only paid about $77 and it was the best value for a room I’ve seen in a while

My grandson was so disappointed 😔 Moved us several times to different rooms Rooms not very clean Good location since we were attending concert at arena Staff wouldn’t allow me to speak to supervisor about problems Or maintenance I spent WAY more than surrounding hotels SO MY GRANDSON COULD SWIM Please don’t be fooled by pictures of hotel when booking AWFUL TRIP!!!!! Oh and wasn’t told about deposit until I got there WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THIS HOTEL!

D. Kloeckener

On our trips to gulf shores, we always love staying here! The place is great, Tupelo is so neat, and the people working at the Hilton Garden Inn are so nice and helpful; Gabby and Bridget are all stars! Gabby was unbelievably nice, running all over for us and even making sure my kids were happy, and Bridget knew just how to fix things and was so understanding I can’t say enough nice things about these two We will definitely be back!

Deanna Dean

Needed more help in serving the breakfast department, ran out of eggs one day but the staff was very understanding and helpful Told us upfront they were out and didn’t want to charge us for breakfast if they didn’t have what we wantedThe hot tub was under renovation of which we were not aware when making the reservation, something we look forward to when reserving a room

We had a great stay while traveling during Christmas We stayed here one evening and the staff were very friendly and helpfulThe breakfast was awesome! Everything was fresh and hot

We were traveling with a toddler and a newborn and of course were running behind I got to breakfast just a couple minutes before they closed it down and the workers kept it open for us until we had all managed to get breakfast and made sure we did not need anything else before they didHighly recommend!!!

MICHELLE BURNS

This was our eleventh hotel stay within the last month It was our first try at a Holiday Inn Express & Suites I was very pleased

We made reservations just prior to arriving and were accommodated The room was very clean almost too clean The solution used to clean the bathroom floor needed to be diluted a bit more because it left the floor a little bit tacky but it was clean I liked the shower products in dispensers, that was new to me! Breakfast selection was fairly standard Only problem we had was out of managements control – kids running up & down the stairway, located next to our room Management was notified and it was dealt with

We had our 2 grandchildren with us and they had a wonderful time here The indoor pool was nice The rooms were clean and well stocked

Mae, the nice lady who worked the breakfast was awesome She was so sweet and helpful And those at the front desk were so helpful, and the cleaners were all very friendly I go to a lot of motels and this one rated at the top of my list Chili’s is right beside it and Sam’s is close by

Joe Kirby

I travel 9-10 months total throughout the year I have been here going on 3 weeks myself and my employees To put it bluntly

You will not find a better staff The hotel itself is very clean, comfortable 10/10 … but the staff… 20/10 I had an employee break his leg Had to fly in new ones last min They had no issues helping me get rooms re-assigned Anything I or my guys needed they helped with Always with a smile, always with an answer to any question Had to extend my stay a cpl times No issues I can not say enough about the staff here In times like these it’s nice to have someone Genuinely care and try to help

David Carlile

I honestly expected more from a higher rated hotel The beds were comfortable and the desk staff was great Housekeeping needs some work

The first room we checked in to had no towels and the previous guests dinner in the refrigerator The second room had the previous guests partial ice bag of ice in the refrigerator but it did at least had towels

Had a good experience here Check-in was smooth, rooms were clean & bed was comfortable It was peaceful & housekeeping didn’t wake us up knocking on the door extra early in the morning like a lot of places

We also asked for a late checkout & it was given with no hesitation at all They do also have a pool and continental breakfast but we didn’t get a chance to check em out, maybe next time! I do recommend this property when people ask for suggestions! 🙂

Carlos Brisolla

My mom and I stayed here last night We a passing through to go see my sister in the in Arkansas She had emergency surgery

We usually stay in in Comfort Suites We always liked it Unfortunately, this morning when we got up I had to kill a roach on the wall next to my mom’s bed, and another one on the pillow next to her Very disgusted by it I went to the front desk and told the gentleman there about it He made a disgusted face and said he would tell manager once they came in I asked if he could do anything about the price and he had a blank face I walked away Don’t get me wrong, the staff a nice here and all

David Love

We had issues with this hotel Beware Watch your account

They tried to double bill and withhold a room deposit twice When asked to speak to the Owner/manager Mr Patel he would not return calls It took 3 times to get the billing straight and actually called choice privileges The check in was not bad but just ok When checking out the front Desk tried They are aware of what they do I WILL NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN

When you think about one of the best stays ever you think about this hotel (I’m a traveling contractor) I got absolutely everywhere and this has been my number one stay From the front desk lady Katie and gentlemen Allen, to the head chef at the restaurant Damien, his amazing side kick Darren, the maintenance lady Dana, the bartender Abby, this place is just top notch

I am so picky about hotels because of awful experiences but this place changed my perspective The hospitality is amazing, the food is awesome, and you feel like you’re almost at home!! I wish I could give them 10 stars but I’ll just suggest staying here instead!!

Josh Staas

The area actually makes this hotel worth it super nice and clean area visiting Tupelo Ms was highlight of the tripNow for the hotel the man working the counter could care less about checking people or the that he was helping After getting checked went to room in was smaller then expected tight need less to say

Very clean hotel, beds were firm, good place to sleep Are kids wanted to swim so we took them now and that was big mistake soak wet floor made the condition dangerous for Everyone Our kid fail and hit his head Tons of kids jumping off the handicap equipment no in there to supervise them besides that experience it was a great place to sleep for the night We fell safe in the area as well Just heads up don’t get your hopes up on the pool area Also it’s 1495 for breakfast and Wendy’s is right down the roadThe bar seemed nice but didn’t visit it

Jake Helmandollar

Probably the most beautiful interior of any of the dozens of Holiday Inns I have been in The five floors of rooms surround an atrium featuring an impressive bar extending an equal height It’s most beautiful feature is also it’s only downfall as the atrium amplified sound coming from every floor and the bar area

Thicker doors, better soundproofing and/or earplugs are recommended as I found it fairly difficult to get a good nights rest Luckily, I was passing through with family and not on business but the impression I was left with was beautiful but LOUD I would stay again With earplugs

They put lipstick on a pig with this place Hard to find, tucked behind the Motel 6, but it’s also the Motel 6 only it’s the Clarion Hotel when you book online Supposed to have breakfast available, not notice it was unavailable due to the area being filled with new TVs for the rooms

I couldn’t even get a cup of coffee The ice machine is downstairs, how are disabled people supposed to get ice or a bag of chips, not to mention they were disgusting with mold and mildew every whereLet’s get into the roomRust in the bathroom where they painted latex paint over oil so it’s now peeling off in sheets because moisture gets behind it and causes major problems There was some kind of brown sticky stuff on the comforter When we asked for a replacement we were given a new set of sheets The front desk guy, although nice enough he was “not about to try to figure out what language the housekeeper was speaking,” and was little help in this regard Why do they put 3 pillows on a king size bed? Do they want couples at odds? No water in the pool when I started in JulyStay if you want, but if you want a good room, with good service, this is not the place This is an okay place, more suited for traditional and end of life living

Alexis Nicole

My family and I ,8 adults & a baby, we’re not satisfied with our stay (6 hours) The rooms were disgusting clearly weren’t cleaned prior to our stay, the front desk, room service and every employee we encountered weren’t polite and very rude even knowing we were evacuated from our homes during a catastrophic hurricane

this hotel is also okay with drug use of any kind Also expect questionable people loirtering around inside and outside The next morning someone practically barged in our door and told us we needed to be out ASAP again taking no consideration that we were unknown if we had a home to go home to The website advertises a breakfast which is not existent So we packed up and we’re forced to drive an hour to a new hotel which we were 10/10 satisfied with The Hyatt in Columbus Mississippi is definitely worth the rates and is pet friendly!

Anthony Williams

The appearance of the room was far below standard for basic human hygiene, and overall quality; there was hair on the beds so the sheets have not been changed, dirty cups, used toilet paper, a broken bathroom door lock, and broken smoke alarm hanging out of the wall This hotel is extremely disappointing and lacking in cleanliness and any health standards Also, the WIFI is practically nonexistent, the signal is absolutely terrible

I will not be returning

Charged twice, room AC was not on when we arrived so it was 82 in our room and had only cooled to 80 by the time we went to bed Front desk said we could change rooms but there was “no guarantee it would be any cooler”, no breakfast, no coffee downstairs though you’re paying the same price as the hotel next door with those amenities, no water pressure Room smelled terrible, but the bed was comfortable so that was the one redeeming quality

Was pleasantly surprised how nice the room was especially for the low price we paid which was $40 cheaper than another hotel in the area Everything looked relatively new Bed was decent

Coffee in the room but no bottled water They did have free coffee and juice in the lobby but no breakfast Clean towels and shampoo, soap and lotion provided Had a good night sleep I would recommend this hotel for an overnight stay

Jazlee Crowley

Stayed here once without an issue before However this time we came in at night, and instantly were told our reservation was cancelled, that we’d been sent an email Apparently that email was sent at 9:30 PM, 20 minutes before we arrived

We made the reservation a month earlier, and even called to confirm the week before Even though our room was cancelled 20 minutes before our arrival, they said they were sold out and had no room for us So we surmised that they just gave our room away or overbooked the location Tired, and after spending 5 minutes just trying to figure out what was going on, we asked what we should do The staff worker at front, Matt, told us to find a gas station to stay in, that it “wasn’t his problem” Shocked at how mean he was, my husband asked if there were any other options Matt told us he’d call the Tupelo Police on us if we “loitered” on the property any longer I burst into tears (long day of travel) and my husband just laughed at the absurdity of it all Not wanting to make more of a fuss we left, and since everywhere else was booked out we did indeed stay at the Loves Gas station The workers there were so kind, I really should be giving them a 5 star review! Did I mention it’s our honeymoon?

Rachel Cochran

For the price, I was surprisingly pleased with our stay We were 12 hours into our trip and just needed a place to sleep The rooms were extremely clean and appeared to have been recently fixed up

The parking lot was well lit and safe feeling The only downfall that wasn’t too big of a deal other than false advertisement was the fact that there was no breakfast or coffee actually offeredHighly recommend if you are looking for a clean place to stay, especially for $76 after taxes on a weekend

Good hotel and the staff that we interacted with were really friendly The man running the front desk put on cartoons for our daughter while were eating so she could enjoy breakfast Him and the lady that setup the breakfast were very engaging with our daughter as well and joking around with her and us

Kinda hard to get to, but definitely would go again if we’re in town

Nitin Koka

Stopped over for a night on our way home Came in very late, they had my room key ready when I checked in The staff was very friendly and the room was clean

Overall a good stay for a layover on long tripsThe hotel is close to restaurants and shopping!

Angie Gouchenour

We have stayed in several different Fairfield Inns and have never been disappointed The beds were comfortable, the rooms were clean, the staff was amazing, and the breakfast was fresh with a good variety The only downside is that it is a little older so the rooms arent as sound proof as newer hotels

But that is why it is $50 less per night than similar hotels It was great for what we paid

BEWARE!! This place is HORRIBLE! I wish I could give it negative stars! My husband reserved a king suite with a jetted tub First, the room isn’t as nearly as nice as the pictures online Second, the room was very disappointing

Looks very worn Huge burn hole on the top of the desk and worst of all, a dirty ring around the jetted tub I immediately went to the front desk to address the tub I wanted it cleaned properly or move us to a room that has been cleaned properly I was told all the suites were booked for the night When she addressed my complaint to another woman, that woman came out with attitude and stated it’s a stain I informed her I clean houses for a living and that’s not a stain I can rub it off with my finger That’s a dirt ring around the tub She then turned around to the woman at the front desk and told her to cancel our room So instead of trying to make it right they chose to kick us out We booked this through bookingcom and are currently disputing it When my husband tried to call them back to resolve it the woman hung up on him DISGUSTING behavior DISGUSTING hotel!

For starters, there was a deposit that I had to pay in cash This was acceptable because I only needed the room for one night, and there was no way I was going to trash it The clerk informed me that I would receive the refund for the deposit upon check out

Now on to the room The room was stuffy and smelled like smoke, eventhough this was a non-smoking room I just blasted the air, which didn’t put out as much as I would have liked, and let the door stay opened for about 15 minutes The bed wasn’t the most comfortable, but it was clean On the bathroom floor, it looked like there was a dead bug I did mention it to my roommate We left the room for a meeting and returned to find the bug had been removed Now mind you, this was around 9:00 PM At 3 the next morning, we were awakened by loud knocking at our door We were terrified to see who was at the door, but I mustered up enough courage to check it out; come to find out, there was no one there I attempted to call front desk to ask and/report to incident It took about 20 minutes to finally speak with someone The clerk, a guy, was very rude about it Checking out was a breeze and there was a continental breakfast, which was mediocre I did receive the refund for the deposit without the clerk even checking the room guess she trusted me Last thing I want to add is that I did feel like I was being watched the whole time I was there

We arrived at 11:15 pm to find that an undisclosed 100 USD cash deposit was demanded upon check in, after dealing with that we were placed in room 204 which was utterly filthy, the original linens had what appeared to be feces on them and the rest of the room looked as if it were untouched by cleaning supplies We go back to the front desk and advise of the issue and was assigned another room 218 which was also filthy and reeked of marijuana after another trip to the front desk we were sent back to 204 with a set of mismatched sheets (king fitted sheet and queen flat sheet, we told the lady what are we supposed to do with this, she rudely stated it was not her job and housekeeping was not there and we had to clean the room ourselves At 1:09 am we finally have the room sanitary enough to get a little sleep before finishing our long drive home

This is a clean campground with clear pride of ownership showing There are many nice shady, pull through sites It is close to main thoroughfares BUT you don’t feel as though you are going to get your head buzzed off by tractor trailers

There is gas and a grocery store close by and the 40 mile Tanglefoot paved cycle trail is just 20 min away! The office is adorable Most importantly, there is real dependability here When you leave a message to reserve, you get a speedy call back I highly recommend this location and will come back if headed this way

Eveyone was very polite! The rooms were fully stocked with everything we needed, and they were comfortable Breakfast was delicious but at 9:30am the eggs had already been eaten It appeared the bacon had been replenished but not the eggs or the gravy

I found it was so funny that the apple juice dispenser spewed out orange juice and there was no apple juice Lol! It was a bit of a task to find all the necessary plates and utensils for everything but not a big deal Overall, I really enjoyed my stay here

If you’re traveling through Tupelo, stay here! I made my reservations online, the check in process took less than 2 minutes! The room was immaculate, great linens, very luxurious bath products and quiet!! The hot breakfast is worth $15/person and it’s included 😉 my family was a big fan of the breakfast attendant she’s the sweetest thing and she takes alot of pride in her work The rest of the staff we had interactions with were also very hospitable The location has many restaurants and shopping opportunities and it feels safe
