My dog was being treated for cancer at UW – Madison from April until last week when she lost her battle We had six stays at this hotel during that time, all of which were consistently wonderfulThe rooms are large and clean, beds are comfortable, and the kitchen has a full sized fridge, which came in handy during some of our longer stays

Sometimes I had to stay here by myself, and it says a lot about both the hotel and the area that I felt safe to do so as a female traveling alone with a dog with mobility issues Breakfast was the typical continental fare, but that is all I neededThe staff here exceeds expectations, and truly could not have been nicer to me Jim is a standout in particular, as he always does the extra mile A couple of my stays were of an indefinite length of time at booking, and the staff was so easy and flexible at working with me to extend those stays when neededMy dog did not always stay with me on these trips (as sometimes she was in hospital), but when she did, there was plenty of convenient, well manicured access to grass outside the hotel, as well as pet waste stations around the perimeter of the hotel For non pet people, there was no dog smell or fur anywhere A lot of pet friendly hotels are a bit dingy – not this oneThis hotel is truly the five star hotel of three star hotels I cannot thank them enough for their hospitality, cleanliness, and dependability through a really difficult time

Service was kind and professional Our king suite was clean and comfortable The breakfast was really so awful though

Everything was so artificial and powdered tasting Absolutely inedible I couldn’t even make a toasted bagel taste good But for a clean and affordable stay It was a great value Just don’t rely on your complimentary breakfast

Jinoj Mathew

One of the best places to stay Service is phenomenal Upon check in received two bottles of water for being an honors member

Received texts daily asking how the experience was Room had a full kitchen and utensils Very clean and well maintained rooms Beds and pillow were very comfortable as well Breakfast is included and good selections are available daily Plenty of free parking also available Good location Highly recommend

Clean hotel, newly renovated, and management was very helpful We went through a second party booking site and upon check in, there was an issue with the site not sending the code to pay the hotel for our stay The manager was so helpful, and let us check in and go to our outing and called the second party site to resolve the issue

We woke up too late for the breakfast, but it looked like a very good set up of lots of variety in food and clean open dining space There is also an all day coffee/tea counter that was very nice The hotel is also a stop on Middletons free trolley ride that goes from different hotels every 30 min to downtown Middleton Very nice extra features The gym and indoor pool looked very nicely kept up as well Best thing of all, they have a 12 (noon) check out Overall great stay and only 15 min straight drive into downtown Madison

Hotel was very nice and friendly Breakfast was good Rooms were clean other than maybe they top sheep on the bed looked pretty rough

We were able to have pets which is always greatly appreciated My only concern and bummer was that the pool and hot tub were VERY dirty The pool water did not even look like pool water it just looked like dirty water After noticing that I looked at the walls of the pool and they seemed brown and almost moldy looking the hot tub looked even worse than the pool I def stayed out of it and really hope My kiddo stays healthy after it Had I noticed it before he had gotten in and started having fun I wouldn’t have allowed it It would benefit to drain that thing ,scrub up and start fresh Other than that the hotel was very nice

This place is excellent to stay at Monty is a great guest service He reinforced hotel policy’s

In this newest stay I was able to experience how Monty had to denied service to some guest because they were in the Do Not Rent list The female of the this couple was very rude and threatened Monty However he stood his ground Like I said he does an amazing job to keep the hotel safe

Let me start off by saying, this is a really nice hotel, in a really great location It was in walking distance to many great restaurants and being able to walk right out and be at the water/terrace was very peaceful My room was clean, but the bed was as hard as rocks

It felt like sleeping on a box frame I spent 4 nights here and needless to say my body was over it by check out I think adding new mattresses would be a great touch Especially since that’s the main reason people come back to the hotel is for a good nights restBut the staff were super nice and accommodating It’s really just the comfort piece that knocked off stars

Paul Skillman

Good reviews must be fake The only good things were location and the lobby is ok looking No housekeeping during stay

Complacent Front desk staff gave me false advice sending me way out of my way (just tell me you don’t know if you don’t know) No room service available Sub-grade beds and entire place needs an update Restaurant not open past 10pm and no convenient food options after hrs 20/day parking We paid a extra for this hotel and did not expect anything extraordinary But this lacking on a basic level I hope this is not the new norm as I’d expect more out of most budget roadside hotels

Zak

I stayed at this hotel for two nights for a friend’s wedding It wasn’t a bad experience, and it wasn’t a good experience, just okay It was extremely convenient that this hotel was connected to the wedding venue overlooking Lake Monona, but that was the main bright spot

The beds weren’t too comfortable, the towels were extremely rough and felt like they’ve been used for years, some of the staff did not really know what they were doing at the front desk, and the breakfast spot onside the hotel was a rip off; they charge $15 per person to eat at their buffet, but they were regularly out of food, coffee, and hot water for tea (I had to ask to get them refilled) The food was mediocre at best Do yourself a favor and spend $15 at a restaurant in downtown Madison where you’ll get your money’s worth

In 30 plus years of international travel, one of the most poorly designed rooms I have ever stayed in Tons of wasted space Bathroom door wouldn’t latch

Closet doors wouldn’t close properly either The “sink” in the bathroom is only a couple of inches deep, trendy perhaps, but useless No place to hang towels to dry except for one hook inexplicably hung in the sleeping area about a foot down from the ceiling Housekeeping nonexistent (took three phone calls and four hours to get clean towels, and never saw a maid the whole time we were there) Water pressure in the shower a joke Felt like I was trying to bathe in a light drizzle Coffee maker in the room was nasty and had a short in it On a positive note, great location And there’s a big box store right up the street where you can buy all the essentials you won’t find in your room, like a working coffee maker Wouldn’t stay here again unless all other hotels in town were booked solid

I just checked in at 10:00 this evening after a long travel day Although I am very tired, I just had to find a place to leave a review commending Quinton at the registration desk I’m a frequent traveler and stay in Marriott properties between 75-85 nights a year

Tonight, Quinton welcomed me better than anyone has at any property in years… He was a wealth of knowledge and really gave a personal touch to make sure I have a great stay He is an absolute gem and has an amazing attitude and energy Thank you, Quinton for making my evening!

Krishna Sapkota

I Stayed there for five nights during my business trip to Madison No one was present at the front desk to check me in and give me the key No room service, coffee, towels etc whatsoever

Breakfast is overpriced At the checkout day, they said they would send me the receipt by email, did not even ask whether i want a printed copy, but never send one Tried to call multiple times, but no one picks up the call or put in insane hold (>1h) Please don’t stay at this place if you would like to have a good experience Will definitely not go back, very disappointing One star is even too much for this place

A clean hotel with friendly staff I arrived at noon on Monday without a reservation and was able to get a room right away, no wait Breakfast at 630am was what you would expect at a Marriott that caters to business travelers, not bad but also not extravagant

I used the gym every morning at 5am and it was clean and equipment was well maintained Gym is 24 hrsI did have an issue with my door and was locked out of my room when the card reader failed Cheena and Mike jumped on the problem right away, gave me an alternate room, and helped me retrieve my belongings when we could get back into the room These things happen and I won’t take away a star because they handled everything professionally

Clean, friendly, accomodating Recommend We stayed here for 30 days while our home was being remediated for mold

Very stressful time in our lives Staybridge and staff helped make things easier Excellent, large FREE laundry room Nice workout room and outside seating Good breakfast buffet Decent suites with kitchenette Groceries and restaurants next door Highway noise not an issue, but adjacent room noise was a problem at times Pet friendly Did not enforce Covid mask mandate (though staff all wore masks)

Ryan Stamm

I travel for work and spend 35 weeks a year on the road This has to be one of the worst hotels and services I have ever experienced The internet was so slow I wasn’t able to work and had to go to a nearby coffee shop

They also charged me $150+ in damages to a room that was rented to me with broken furniture Tried to explain the situation to the argumentative Bobby from management who was not able to help with the situation I will no longer be staying at all IHG Hotels as the company and the General Manager do not seem to not care about their customers but only about dollars and cents There are a lot of other Hotels to pick from that deliver a better experience

zachary niemi

Possibly the worst internet at any hotel i have ever stayed at and it doesn’t matter what floor you are on the whopping 12mbps it produces makes this place Impossible to do any type of work on a laptop Rooms are nice except when the power goes out for 4 hours when it’s 92 degrees out and the AC doesn’t work If you need to use the internet at a hotel look elsewhere

Definitely will not stay again for that reason

We stayed for 3 nights Our room was dirty, hair in tub, toys left under the furniture, blood stains on pillow covers on the couch Common areas were never cleaned

Kitchenette was useful but we had no supplies to clean up after ourselves The AC was loud and the bedroom never cooled off There was one packet of coffee in the roomdecaf Very disappointing We will not be back

Justin Kelley

Terrible experience Did not lift a finger when informed that my room wasn’t cleaned properly before I arrived (dirty towels left hanging in the room, dusty/crumby table, some white stains on chair) Rooms were available, but reserved by platinum members (who weren’t arriving that night) and they refused to clean the room or switch my reservation

Staff was clueless and management was either absent or didn’t care Room was finally cleaned 48 hours after I complained a second time At check out they tried to make me pay for the room saying that I was not part of my organizations reservation and refused any reduction in price Couldn’t recommend a worse hotel

Noah Sternig

I honestly wish I could rate this 0 stars, but unfortunately I can’t We had a hotel room reserved weeks before we came and when we arrived, we were told that our room’s air conditioner broke this morning, keep in mind that we arrived at 9 pm When we walked in our room, the carpet damp and squishy and they had no intention of calling us early

They wouldn’t a reduced rate There were no available rooms left and we were forced to try to find a different hotel Overall, a horrible experience

Beautifully remodeled modern style hotel Great service from the staff The room we had was without any windows though

Instead it had a door to the inside pool area While some might find that a preferred convenience, If we did it again, all 5 of us would prefer a window room instead next time Other than that the stay was good The pool here is geared towards small kids only

Joyce Marx

The staff is incredibly nice I didn’t get her name, but the girl who checked me in was very sweet and helpful Thank you for a wonderful stay! I’ll definitely stay here again next time I’m in Madison

When we went in to the pool, it was closing in 30 minutes No one has been using the waterside so it had been turned off The lifeguard working turned it back on so my nephew could use it Even though she was closing in 30 minutes she never made us feel rushed and we enjoyed our time in the water park This was the evening of Tuesday March 2 Thank you!

Michele Ashbeck

There were some positive things about our stay, but I feel like the bad outweighed the good Starting with the good; the rooms were very clean and the pool area is great, with wonderful lifeguards Now the bad

When we booked the room we booked a 1st floor poolside room, when we checked in our room was on the second floor Checkout is at 11am, which is fine, but the pool doesn’t open until 9am, and when we were here they didn’t open it until 10 minutes after 9 They also didn’t open the water slide in the morning There isn’t a free continental breakfast, you have to pay $5 per adult and $3 per child Having to pay for breakfast we assumed everything was included, but only milk, water or coffee was included for drinks, no fruit juice We also thought we would get refills on our drinks, especially since we had to pay, but no one came around for refills Overall it seemed like this hotel likes to nickle-and-dime their guests while having subpar service and limited pool time

Stayed here for my second time in March and my daughter’s seventh time at this hotel The hotel is so quiet and I got a good night’s sleep which is rare for me Bed was very comfortable

Very nice personable male front desk clerk Safe underground parking Coming back in June and getting 2 rooms at that time

Hannah

Very safe, quiet location Walking distance from shopping and food Rooms were clean and very nice

I would recommend and I def would stay again The only thing negative I noticed was the bathroom didn’t have a fan/vent built in Parking in the garage was an extra charge each day (which I think should be FREE for the hotel fee/stay) but I still paid it anyways and I felt it was worth it

Graham Vance

This hotel has quiet rooms, a bar in the lobby, and a pleasant staff Housekeeping is on request but the amenities in the room last a single person a week The breakfast is included and is pretty decent

There is not a restaurant in the hotel but it is located right next to a shopping complex with multiple restaurants I would definitely stay there again

Great place to stay Amazing staff, front desk manager and supervisor are caring and engaged They go out of their way to make your stay comfortable

The food at the rooftop restaurant is great for a team outing The drinks are top notch If you have an issue ask for Shawn or Meltia I see them both as general manager material Note: just don’t get a room under the gym

Joelle Fiedorowicz

I had a king room with Lakeview and the room I stayed in lived up to that for the most part I had a view of the lake but mainly the tops of buildings as I was on the 7th floor It was very clean, bed was comfortable and the room was nice and quiet other than the slamming doors of the other rooms

Valet parking was a nice addition and affordable Didn’t eat at the hotel but the restaurant on the top floor had amazing views and the food smelled really good Great location and within walking distance of a lot of shops, restaurants, and activities Will stay again

Shaelyn Rounds

Unfortunately I’m giving 1 star instead of 4 The only reason being is I do not feel the elevators at this hotel were safe Which is the most important factor imo

My friends and I rode down to our floor (3) from the restaurant (9) and the elevator quite literally dropped us, and then malfunctioned back and forth to floor 5 and 4 a few times before opening and letting us out We were all so traumatized, I called the front desk, and immediately the employee asked if it was elevator number 3 as if it’s happened before (It was actually elevator number 1 this time)Safe to say we took the stairs Beware of the elevators for your safety!

Right when we checked in there was a “social hour” with food, wine and beer (spotted cow even!) Are you kidding me?! I didn’t check out the outside mezzanine area but I think there is a pool and gazebo out there? The inside pool looked amazing and I wished I would’ve brought my suit Other than the bed being ok and the original room not being cleaned (it was not on the cleaning schedule and they moved us to a new room immediately), this is one of the best hotels I’ve stayed at and in a great location on the East side

Compliments to management and staff for making our stay excellent and we’ll see you next visit!

Scott Sned

Nice property with updated and comfortable rooms Breakfast was good with hot food options and waffles There was only one lady helping with breakfast (understaffed), but she was super friendly, kind, and helpful, working hard to help everybody

Two issues with this property:1-“Airport shuttle” feature is misleading Though the website has a “shuttle” icon and shows 7A-7P airport shuttle hours, it’s only Mon-Fri and must be requested 24 hours in advance So our “airport hotel” stay has cost us an extra $60 to/from airport and would have been better to rent a car2-Breakfast hours only through 900A Seemed like a mad rush at 855A Maybe extend out to 930A or 1000A

Carolyn Schmidt

Very comfortable room The bed was not too soft but had a comfy soft topperThe kitchen is well equipped and everything works as it should

Evening supper on Wednesday was nice Breakfast to go worked great for our needsOur dog was very happy in the room and on a walkWe were here only overnight but would be very comfortable for a longer timeI definitely will look for Staybridge suites again

This hotel is a nice choice on the square for anyone visiting Madison We had an excellent view from our window and being steps away from downtown restaurants and the farmer’s market was fantastic! The hotel offers free coffee, muffins and fruit in the morning before 9am, which I wasn’t aware of before my stay, but it’s great Also, the parking is only valet which costs $20/night

They are still using some COVID-specific rules at this hotel, such as not doing housekeeping in the room every day; this is actually my preference so I hope they keep doing it for the future Finally, they were amenable to splitting the room bill between me and my colleague evenly, which made our travel plans easier Overall, I was really happy with this great spot!

Nick Chill

Our Best Western Premier Park stay was great The overall hotel had a very professional feel and welcoming service The valet was very helpful and friendly

Our room was nice, but not huge We also had a small view of brick building walls The shower, on the other hand, was incredible The location was key, as we were across the street from the amazing capitol building We also enjoyed the hotel restaurant, The Post, and loved sitting next to the windows with a view of the capitol

J R

Mixed bag Hotel itself is beautiful, lots of history and the poolside room we had was very nice Minus stars because the pictures of the rooms show nice walk in showers which is not the case

A big deal for those with mobility issues The restaurant is good for breakfast(not included), but skip dinner here, overpriced, mediocre offerings Plenty of nice places within walking distance

Wow for the price this place was amazing There was some miscommunication upon check in since we paid through the Hilton website but even with that we were still checked in in under 10 min I get the feeling they get a lot of a holes cause they were super apologetic about the situation

The pool alone makes this place so worth it if you have kids They even provide some pool toys (balls, noodles, squirrels) We didn’t try the free breakfast but pretty cool they offered that and we saw tons of people taking advantage in the mornings so it must’ve been good Our room and bed were nice and comfortable It wasn’t downtown but everything we did was within like 15 min drive Will definitely stay here on our next trip!

alyson propes

The only reason I don’t give 5 stars is because the water in the shower was dangerously hot and cold I don’t mean just annoying It took over 5 minutes of letting the water run for it to warm up, and then it went from a good temp, to painfully ice cold, and then the only way to get it off ice cold was to turn high enough that it was dangerously hot – so hot you would honestly get burned, and then turn it way back down again

It was stressful to shower and also shower my kidsAside from that, the pool was great, the breakfast was great, the staff were all friendly, the room was clean, and the price was good

Absolute gem! My girlfriend and I had an amazing stay Great staff, good rates, comfortable EVERYTHING Waking up we both remarked how well we slept

The breakfast was to die for The architecture in the first place is incredible The natural light from the skylights made it so we only had to turn the lights off for the night and then when we turned off the lights for the night we had beautiful moonlight! I very much recommend The Mansion Hill Inn!

Hosted a wedding here for a client, and it went amazing! The venue is absolutely gorgeous – every room has it’s own very unique charm It’s an old building, but they have done a fantastic job upgrading to modern amenities John and his staff are top notch as well – they work seamlessly to provide amazing service

I can’t wait to host another event at this amazing venue!

Easy check in but when asked about the shuttle, we were informed it was not availableOur room door was ajar, which was disconcerting We had a cleaning crew worker contact maintenance to find out they were fixing door and we may need to move

We did not unpack Later, when the maintenance worker fixed our door, we practiced locking/unlocking to our satisfaction Ten minutes later, our door opens!!!! No knock or verbal warning! What lack of communication! Why would they even give us that particular room when there are six floors of them!

VERY UNCLEAN AND RUDE, STAY ANYWHERE ELSEWhen we first checked in, our pillow cases had stains and blood spatters on them I was told if I wanted new sheets I would have to change them myself so I asked for a new room The second room had hair on the wall and a huge greasy stain on the headboard, plus more stains on sheets

Was again told there would be no one to clean it so was given a third room The third room had a broken AC/HEATER so we either had to sleep with no heating and cooling or try to sleep to a loud banging sound the whole night When I complained to the manager she was extremely rude but promised me that I would be refunded my points for my stay Instead I recieved $75 so will now need to call Marriott to sort out Cancelled our second night and stayed at AC Hotel in Madison AC hotel in Madison is 10-20 bucks more and absolutely divine Clean, updated rooms with incredible staff and delicious restaurant facing the capital Spend the money there or save money and stay somewhere else Just don’t stay at the Sheraton Madison

I stayed here for 3 nights in early June 2022 I am appalled that this place is allowed under the Marriott nameUpon arrival (we did not need the airport shuttle during arrival) we asked about being added to the complimentary airport shuttle for departure day and were told the shuttle is not running and we would have to call down to the front desk the day we were leaving

The hotel would then call the cab service of their choice and comp the cost of the cab The day my mother left, she began calling the front desk and for 20 minutes received no answer She went to the front desk and no one was there except a security guard who would not assist her 23 minutes later a “manager” finally showed up and called a cab but didn’t provide the voucher for the cab ride so the driver had to go back into the hotel and spend another 5 minutes obtaining that My mom made it to the gate as her flight was boardingWhen I checked out a few hours later and asked about this I was told it was a private security matter and all guests were safe and it was none of my business None of this aggressive response provided any explanation as to why they couldn’t provide a service that was listed as available on their website When I said that to the woman checking me out she became more aggressive that their security issue was none of my business When I shared this with my mom later she said that she saw no police, fire or any emergency services when waiting for assistance so I really don’t understand where their 24/7 staff was The lack of enough staff needs to be reflected in what amenities they have and their website needs to be updated to indicate what they do have so guests can make an informed decision while staying thereI worked part of the time during my stay Their workstations are not private so I worked in my room Their hotel photos show a desk and office chair but in actuality the rooms don’t have that set up making work difficultOn our first morning I was working in my room and housekeeping knocked and opened the door before I could even respond Apparently someone didn’t update our arrival and checkout days so housekeeping had a wrong list of which rooms to cleanThe main lobby and outside seating seemed nice at a quick glance but upon further inspection dust and excessive cobwebs cover the outdoor lights, crumbs and bird droppings are all over the outside seating and the inside area has sticky surfaces The room itself had dust and cobwebs in the windowsills and dust on the top shelf where thr inroom coffee isThe staff is either nice but lacking in knowledge or rude and aggressiveI had other family staying at the comfort inn next door which for 10 dollars less a night had larger rooms, a cleaner pool and outside seating area and complimentary full breakfastI would never stay at this hotel again and would encourage anyone to avoid it It’s poorly managed and clearly employees, including the manager, don’t care about the incorrect information on their website and how this is reflects on their service The price I paid for services received is a jokeI’m also having to keep an eye on my credit card as I see my amount as having been paid 3 days ago but the same amount is listed as pending payment todayThis hotel is horribly run and clearly has some process issues they need to correct A cute car in the lobby does not make for a positive hotel stay as a guest given all of their problems

Overall a great stay! The staff were all excellent! Very convenient to Epic campus for training and the daily shuttle was great! Only slight downside is that the hotel is older and starting to feel a little outdated The carpet in my room had definitely seen it’s better days Also, my room was not the cleanest when I arrived

There were a few pieces of trash in the room (under a chair, beside a nightstand) and the carpet had something sticky on it (in front of the couch) Maybe just a more thorough cleaning between guests would be nice I arrived super late and the issues weren’t big enough to warrant any major attention Just wanted them to be known for future reference

The hotel seemed to be old and outdated The front desk staffs were friendly but depending on who was working at the time The breakfast in the morning was alright, a little bit above average

The positive thing about this hotel is it provides the shuttle to pick people from and to the airport If you don’t have a rental vehicle, this hotel may not be a good location if you want to do some sight seeing at Madison, WI

Absolutely blown away by the professionalism and care the staff puts into their work! The front desk woman Lindsey is such a sweetheart and is always so kind and helpful, she deserves a raise! Also Jermaine has gone above and beyond to make sure I have felt welcome and comfortable during my stay, the amenities are essentially a furnished apartment and I couldn’t be happier with my room! I’ll be recommending extended stay to everyone I know from here on out!
