Our room, supposedly recently remodeled, had the ambiance and comfort of a hospital room Laminate flooring throughout, nothing to wipe your feet on therefore it always felt gritty and dusty Seating was a floppy desk chair and oddly shaped chaise

No artwork or extra mirrors Quite frankly a wide, bold, colorful stripe would have helped make it more inviting The bed was very comfortable after you managed to get on it It was nearly 30” high Nowhere to conveniently place or grab a towel after showering and the towel rack was rusty So much that I took pictures of it! The staff was not very helpful and didn’t even correct my address when brought to their attention I have stayed at this property before and had no qualms staying again However, I won’t be staying there againI’ve enjoyed all of my other stays at IHG properties but this one was thumbs down

The staff members are very nice for the most part There was one housekeeper who worked on May 29 who had a bit of an attitude and did not clean my room as she was supposed to She didn’t even remove my towels from my room as she saw them on the floor when she pushed her cart by my room

But other than that the management and the other staff members are very nice and attentive to your needs The floors in the rooms need to be mopped Other than that, very well-kept secret in the city of San Dimas There are quite a few homeless people living there but I commend the owners for giving them a place to stay versus on the streets And they do not bother you I really like the renovations and I’m super excited to see how they turn out the next time I am down here in this area A special commendable shout out to the kitchen staff and the other housekeepers as well as the front desk staff

William Butler

Outside hallways They are renovating the hotel and I guess they have not gotten to the room I was in Laminate flooring through out the room

So the floor was cold The A/C- heater was so noisy I could either use it or sleep The shower has no place for me to put my soap and shampoo- no soap dish or shelf Same bulk shower products that could possibly be contaminated Stair well was dirty I saw what look like a clear aligner there I just cannot recommend this hotel

Three stars because it’s neither a great place or bad place The rooms aren’t suites They’re studios

While I didn’t use them, there’s a 5-foot tall fridge, microwave, sink, dishes and cups, and even a dishwasher The furnishings seem straight out of an IKEA catalogThey offer a breakfast each morning On the first morning I went down and saw that they didn’t have eggs I feel like a breakfast should have eggs, bacon, sausage, breads/bagels for roasting, coffee, milk, and juice, and various breakfast cereals Their breakfast didn’t have eggs, bacon, or juice but did have oatmeal and breakfast wraps/burritos Of course they also had the usual sides like butter, jelly, cream cheese, etcThe staff I interacted with were helpful and courteousThe room wall and doors are thin, so you can hear people in the hall and in adjacent rooms more than in a more typical hotel Outdoor sounds of the street also penetrate the room, if the car is a little loudEverything seemed to be clean, but the keypad on the microwave was sticky, part of the reason I didn’t use itOverall, a 3, like I said In the future I’ll look for something a little more deserving of the Hilton name, thoughIt’s

We stay here any time we are visiting family This latest time was for our baby shower After a drive from Arizona I will say, we have always come to a pretty clean and nice room

The black out curtains are awesome and block out a lot of light which is great for sleepFor our last stay there, a little over a week ago, we had booked a handicap accessible room months in advance When we saw the option to check in on the app we noticed that the room we got was not accessible We called and they fixed it for us right away (The staff are always really nice)We got there and I immediately noticed some of the stuff in the room did not make sense for accessibility I use a wheelchair and could not use the bathroom mirror sitting in my wheelchair I had to stand to do my hair and it took a long time since I had to keep taking breaks The hand held shower head was helpful, but the wall mount it hangs on was somewhat high and was a little hard to work with I also had to ask the front desk for a shower chair, the site makes it looks like the room just comes with the chairwhen I did get to use it, I sat tilted at an angle because the chair didn’t fit in the tub rightMy only other issue was we had to be placed in a room that was “joined” by another room of people we did not know The door locked so it’s not like they could come in, but we heard EVERYTHING There was a kid playing with a ball on the shared wall for hours until late and then screaming for the next few hours until they fell asleep, around 11pm (I’m assuming) because their ball was taken away This isn’t the hotels fault, but the fact that we could hear it so clearly was very difficult since we couldn’t sleep and our baby shower was the next dayStill coming back but we might need to see if there’s an option for a no barrier room, so it’s easier for me to shower

Visited my dtr And family who stayed thereRooms are clean, staff is friendly and courteous

Lets start Our room safe was non functional upon arrival, which was fixed by the maintenance guy later Our ironing board is was broken, which the staff replaced with a full sized one

The fire alarm ran out of batteries and started beeping around 2 am, when the maintenance guy had to come in our room and replace them In addition, there was a cockroach the crawled right into our room Would not recommend

I have been staying at this hotel consistently for a very long time now The front desk receptionist ” Destiny ” , I must strongly commend She has gone out of her way to make my stay here the most wonderful experience

!She should be observed by her manager as an ” Exemplary Employee “

Once your expectations are set that it’s a budget motel, you’ll notice that everything works wellReception staff are friendly and helpful, they were very cooperative whenever neededPlenty of parking spaces in the area and it felt safe

Room is cleaned daily and is bigger than your average hotel room, so it’s comfortable Wifi is decent, there’s a laundry room and it costs around 4$ per load (washing, detergent, one cycle drying)Plenty of shops within walking distance, that’s a big plus and restaurants too i had a room in the corner so noise was never an issueBathroom and shower are separate from the sink area, but not an issue for me, plenty of towels and shampoo/shower gel if needed

Marsha King

This is the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in If I could give it a zero I would There were mosquitoes all over the room I killed several of them and thought I had gotten them all When I left the hotel the next day there were mosquito bites all over my legs and ankles

When I entered the room the room smelled like mold I could not get hot water in the shower for almost 30 minutes I had to call the manager to come to the room and help I thought about sleeping in my car It was awful I’ll never stay there again not worth it Bugs, Old furniture, old bedspreads, towels, and sheets, smelled awful, not worth it Stay somewhere else!

Jianna Kellems

I have stayed here a couple of times The rooms are fine, though I find the queen beds too soft The location is great and the price is reasonable

Normally very clean and no cause for concern However, when we stayed here this past week, my husband and I woke up with bites all over our legs This is the first time we’ve stayed on the first floor, so maybe that is why, but they definitely seem to have some sort of pest problem now

Every time we are in SoCal, we make a point of staying at the best Western San Dimas This is a beautiful hotel! The rooms are always clean! The pool and Jacuzzi area are gorgeous The breakfast is phenomenal! And a staff is wonderful

We may need to drive a little ways to get somewhere, but we love staying here And San Dimas is a wonderful town

Silvia Bryant

We stayed for two nights Very nice hotel Squeaky clean

Huge room Pool area & patio look nice, unfortunately it was too chilly for a dip in the pool Front desk associates were super nice and helpful Little area to buy snacks and even frozen tv dinners which was good when you look for something to munch on in the evening but don’t want to leave the hotel Breakfast (included in the room price) was one of the best continental breakfasts I’ve seen (and eaten) so far You can pick between one item made fresh (eggs, pancakes, waffles, French toast either with ham or sausage) and several other items like cereal, fruits, cupcakes, cookies and yogurtWe definitely recommend this hotel

J Rizzle

I stayed here this Saturday 8/13/2022, and the room cost me $181, and after running the ac unit for 4 hours, the room never cooled down! I contacted the front desk about the problem, they responded by saying they could have maintenance come in the morning Which didn’t resolve the problem at hand I requested a refund for the inconvenience and was denied

I ended up just leaving right then I haven’t been able to reach anyone from this location, on the phone, since! I wanted to call and speak to a manager but no one answers the phone…ever! Horrible experience High priced room, with zero air conditioning with temps in the mid to high 90’s, is just unacceptable! Won’t be staying here again Won’t be recommending this location to anyone either!

Overall the rooms are clean There are no safes in the room which is a little disappointingThey have a small laundry facility if you need to clean your clothes – it is coin operated

You can also get detergent at the front desk The laundry machines were very dirty I don’t think the rubber seal had been cleaned out for a long time My clothes had a slight musty and moldy smell after washing them

Lin Simon

They only provided ONE key card with a room for 3 guests and rejected to give additional one for convenience This is the first time I saw from Marriott hotels The front desk at night was not hospitable at all

The room is small with a fridge and microwave next to a bed The jacuzzi is fine I don’t think I’ll come back this one in LA in the future

M

Stay away! We were there approximately 30 to 45 minutes and someone broke into our vehicle and stole all of our belongings Security and two other workers were inside and outside walking around when we arrived and checked in After the break in every one disappeared

We are very suspicious it was an inside job The front desk clerk was very unconcerned, and his attitude was like oh well when we reported the break in We have yet to hear from management or anyone else

Stayed for 12 days They were very helpful and fast with check in especially a late one They listen to your needs and help you with things you need

The pool and jacuzzi are perfect The staff are super friendly There’s also a taco truck outside until 2AM I enjoyed my stay there and will most definitely keep using holidays Inn when I’m in LA

Rob F.

Service is incredibly slow It was very difficult to get anything sent up to the room or have our room serviced The fitness center did not have any type of cleansing products for days

When I asked for them in the morning I was told that the cleaning staff wasn’t in until later in the morning…so, basically, a dirty gym every morning during a pandemic Very poor

Candice Delgado

It is a hotel It has beds, bathrooms, pillows etc They no longer come to your room daily and refill towels/soaps or clean your rooms

They will come in on the 5th night However, you can ask the front desk to replenish your towels/soaps as you leave for the day They will not come into your room while you are thereTheir breakfast is available a la carte Very expensiveThey have about 8-10 couches in the lobby, random hotel tables, it is a very strange set upLots of homeless near the property Every morning when we left there was a homeless person sitting in their courtyard The carpet in the hallways is wrinkled up, be careful when you walk so you don’t tripOverall, it’s a bed AC is cold, shower is hot Nothing more, nothing less Our family will not be staying here in the future Lots of options available

I have 0 complaints and really, for the price and the type of hotel, whats there to complain about lol? Staff and front desk were very nice Everything in the room worked as it should Room was very clean and AC worked just fine

Location is right by a bunch of restaurants and such so easy access to amenities Would definitely stay here again!

Cem Ozar

Location was quite and safe Room was spacious , bed and sofa were comfy Tv channels were really good

Coffee was a plus We needed laundry , reception helped us to use the laundry of neighbor hotel with which they had agreement Reception helped us by check-in and Ac replacement It was very good to be able to open windows in the room to get fresh airAir condition was very noisy, 1st night hardly slept but the mechman has replaced a new Ac in 20 min Breakfast could be maybe better Breakfast area hardly enough

Zakwan Nasser

Priced well and located near the mall and other major stores Only half an hour away from the heart of LA Only reason I’m giving 4 stars is they don’t provide housekeeping services on weekends

Although not the biggest issue, staying for 4 days (3 nights), housekeeping is sometimes desired on at least one of those days However, they do provide extra towels or toiletries, but you have to go to the front desk to request them, which was fortunately easy and convenient They also offer a slightly later checkout at noon which was a major plus

The internet was very slow, but everything else was great Easy parking, nice rooms, easy access to the city, good hot breakfastSolis (spelling?) was amazing! We ate breakfast all 3 mornings and she was just so friendly and welcoming to me and my family

We couldn’t help but be in a good mood during and after breakfast She asked about our trip and gave us some tips for the beach and things to do Sometimes hotel staff can be cranky and she was the furthest thing from that I had a great stay and she made it even better!

David Barrio

Reasonable and standard rooms Has two closets for the 2 queen bed Towels are small, and thin

Toilet is powerful but loud AC works well, but make sure to move the curtains behind it so that the cold reaches the room Beds comfortable, but if you have people getting up a lot at night it will make noise Never heard neighbors, so I assume that the walls are fairly soundproof Never heard the freewayBreakfast was pretty good, standard continental stuff Eggs a little too salty Very nice breakfast attendant Not many locations to walk to Has a pool, but I never used itOverall an above average hotel, and I would recommend it

Leslie Spencer

If you’ve been in Southern California this last week of June, you know how horrifically hot it’s been Unfortunately, the power had gone out two days in a row in Altadena, and I couldn’t take the heat/lack of electricity anymore Especially since the outage repair had no definite end in sight

Rather than remain cranky, I opted for some self care and booked a last-minute room at the Best Western Pasadena Royale Inn & Suites Check-in was smooth and my room was clean and comfortable I swam in the sparkling clean pool for the remaining hour it was open Beyond grateful for cold, effective air conditioning, I slept peacefully the entire nightBreakfast service was what made my experience at the Best Western stellar Elise was on duty, and she is extraordinary Her enthusiasm, attentiveness, positivity and friendliness is absolutely genuine You can tell she enjoys interacting with the guests In fact, all the staff I encountered went out of their way to ensure I had a good experienceThank you, Best Western, for helping me cool off, relax, sleep well and smile the next day

Very typical Embassy Suites experience, albeit the room I had during my stay could have been better maintained One of the towel hooks was loose and the bathtub drain could neither be stopped so as to fill the tub nor easily kept fully open so that water wouldn’t pool while taking a showerAlso the breakfast lacked an omelette bar, which was mildly disappointing

The free drinks during the “happy hour” were limited to two from a very small selection The only beer was bud lightOtherwise, service was great and the hotel is conveniently located near restaurants and shops and easy to access for transportation

Benicio Navaira

The rooms are spacious, big beds There is a small safe, and refrigerator The rooms have a better build, you don’t hear other people in the next room as loudly

As other hotels The staff was very friendly, and helpful they knew when to talk to you And when you don’t expect to be bothered It’s a good location close to stores and places to restaurants It’s also well guarded, people that have no business being here, stay off the property If you’re worried about safety, it’s very safe

Rick Sch

Hotel was nice, and clean AC really struggled to keep room cool, didn’t seem to be pushing much air And not sure why they only have 3 luggage cards in such a large hotel as almost everyone was commenting on why this was an issue for the outing guests

Other than that food Good Pool good, would come back if those 2 areas improve as wasn’t bad otherwise

The hotel looked clean but it didn’t feel clean As soon as I got to my room I wiped down the restroom counter and night stands with a disinfecting wipe and it was extremely dirty The small cushion couch in there had so many mystery stains

The restroom didn’t have a working air vent, and the bathtub had hair The bed was comfortable and so were the pillows

Sam “CaliSpaßvogel”

Stayed there in Sept 2021 It’s a very dated and disgusting place I stayed 7 days, not once did the staff clean my room or took out the trash

The bathroom was falling apart, shower curtain seemed to be years old The staff never greeted me, smile at me or ask how was my stay, I’m a platinum IHG memberLet’s just say the entire building needs to be gutted and remodeledOnly good thing is it’s location Close to restaurants, shopping and the freewayI will forever avoid IHG locations in the Los Angeles area and will stick with Marriott

We had a great stay here The loft suite was super cool The hotel is quiet and has the feel of an apartment complex

The area is pretty safe and close to fun things in ArcadiaThe breakfast buffet had tons of options and good coffee Every staff member we encountered here was very friendly and focused on a pleasant experience We had no issues

I got a ground floor room & the thing I didn’t like was I could hear the people talking outside & footsteps from the top floor as they were getting to leave But it’s clean Room is spacious with comfortable bed, but TV was a little smaller

Breakfast is good, but they ran out fast & didn’t replenish it as quickly Staff was helpful, friendly & accommodating Area was convenient & accessible to a lot of eateries

Benjamin W

Stayed here on a Friday night for one night only and that’s probably a good thing For a Marriott brand hotel, I was pretty disappointed I have a high level Bonvoy Marriott level and this is the first hotel to deny a complimentary upgrade

Not a huge deal as I was only staying one night The room is mediocre for Marriott The walls were splattered with stains, cabinetry was worn down to the wood, a couple recessed lights were partially hanging out of the ceiling, the exterior door didn’t shut very well, couch looked well used, and some of the lights didn’t work Breakfast was your typical continental I did like that everything, including the hot items, were individually wrapped I hate seeing other people grab at the serving spoons only to have it fall into the bacon! However, the packaged food had a bit of that packaged wrapped taste that you get when you eat an instant microwaved burrito Overall, still better than a typical Wyndham brand hotel but definitely not up to Marriott standards

The hotel was very clean and the size of the rooms were perfect There were good facilities and the bed was very comfortable The staff was very friendly and helpful

On arrival it was possible for us to upgrade our room and it was overall a very good value for the money The parking lot was very large and free of charge There was even dedicated parking security and the hotel facility was very well maintained overallThe rooms are unfortunately a bit noisy, so we could unfortunately hear our room neighbors during various disputes The times for breakfast are unfortunately only until about 9:30am and the variety could be more

I loved literally everything but the bed and pillows

bulky pillows that dont feel great to sleep on and a bed that could only be comfortable if it had a pillow top layer added to it Bed Linens weren’t a problem though, they were fairly soft enoughOverall it felt clean, modern, and better than averageFront desk service was better than average with every employee I interacted with They were all welcoming, efficient, and agreeable I was impressed and pleased with every staff member I encountered!I did notice the freeway noise, but not enough to make it a deal breakerBut yeah, the bed unfortunately isI will have to continue to try other properties because unfortunately the sleeping part is too important to me to compromise, at this pointBut thank you Hartford Hotel for all you got right!! It was pretty close to perfect!

The only downside to this place was that I had to leave that super comfortable bed! I slept so well because of it! Upon entering the room I was beyond relieved to find it pleasantly cool, especially because I’ve spent the day melting in the heat because my truck’s AC took a dive and had to go in for repairs The room was huge, and the privacy partition helped give it a cozy feeling instead of just a giant box with some furniture thrown in Also, plug and usb outlets EVERYWHERE

I only needed one plug since I just had my phone, but it definitely is a plus for families or groups who are all about having their tech on them without worry of fighting over who’s turn it is to charge The towels were clean and FULLY stocked, and although the shower pressure was a tad weaker than expected, it still was pleasant when winding down from the sweltering heat of the dayI definitely recommend staying here!!!Also Ivanna checked me in, and she was so kind and welcoming! It definitely made the experience here so much better!

It gets five stars simply because my room was soooo clean and felt like a studio and the hotel itself is very nicely decorated and clean However, the front desk with the exception of the pretty, thin girl she was PROFESSIONAL & WELCOMING when handling my reservation The other three front desk clerks weren’t nearly as welcoming and quite frankly “tight & dry” in their interaction and SHOULD take notes from the PRETTY, THIN GIRL!!! 😉

nonetheless, I WILL rent there AGAIN,I LOVE the feel and set up of the room
