Where to start, well maybe 67500 a night! Entering the suite the heat was not on, it was 28 degrees outside The suite was poorly decorated, mixed matched furniture

The curtain rod in the sitting room was bent and the drape was hanging askew One robe and one slipper Yes, just on slipper and no hangers 67500 a night! Of course we called management They did bring up a robe, hangers, but no slippers We turned the heat on My husband used the toilet, when he lifted the seat there was dried urine on the toilet top Another call to management Same manager arrived examined the urine stains It was very late, we had traveled 10 hours, so, we told him to have it cleaned the next day We were gone very early and did not return until after 10 P M The toilet was not cleaned, the mini bar was not restocked and the heat was off again! We called the manager Same young man arrived visibly embarrassed when we showed him the same urine stains He did call a service person who cleaned the bathroom He also brought stock for the mini bar He was very apologetic and offered to remove our parking charges OK, 67500 a night; the parking charges were never removed from the bill The hotel is a beautiful, historic building and the landscaping is stunning, but the standards and service are deplorable Really don’t waste you money

Courtney Nankervis

Excellent customer service and very clean hotel!! The bell man were the absolute best part on top of the cookie service they do at night We stayed in the bridal suite because it was my wedding and it was the most beautiful room for me and all my bridesmaids to get ready in the morning of my wedding My wedding experience with the cavalier was more than I could’ve ever dreamed of

Excellent service from start to finish and the staff the entire night were so attentive to all our guests Everyone was very impressed with the wait staff that set all the plates down at each table at the same time Everything was perfectly cooked and the drinks by the bartender were 10/10 The only complaint I had at our wedding was the staff cleared the cake off peoples tables before they even had a chance to realize it had been served and most were untouched cake I would say don’t touch it if it hasn’t been touched yet and just wait until the end of the night for last call Also we had made party favors out of the champagne glasses we brought/bought and the staff cleared off most of those as well and a lot of our guests didn’t get them which meant all that money went into the trash That was the most disappointing part of the night and that is why I would give 4 stars instead of 5 Other than that everything else was amazing

Jana Scott

Oh my gosh! This hotel is absolutely magnificent The entire staff goes above and beyond They are friendly and helpful

The rooms are clean with any amenities you could imagine I wish we had better weather so we could have enjoyed the beach club more I recommend touring the distillery Very educational and the bourbon is fantastic!

This hotel is designed for longer term stays, but we were only in for a weekend for a family member’s university graduation Nice enough place, but there was a bit of weirdnessWe booked a room for 4 adults

But we only had 3 bath towels and wash cloths I liked the “kitchenette,” with 4 plates, bowls, forks, etc, but there was only 2 chairs Guess you can feed 4, in shifts of 2 But, with the size of the room there wouldn’t have been room for the 2 double beds had there been more chairsI also found it odd there was only 1 small elevator Not really a major problem, but when there were a bunch of people waiting to go up it could take a whileThe beds were mostly comfortable, but noisy Mattresses sounded like the were vinyl covered, so everytime someone rolled over or moved they made noiseAll in all, for the price we paid, it was a positive experience Had we been staying longer the lack of comfortable seating might have become a problem, but we managed to work around it for the weekendI would stay here again, but would probably ask for an upgraded room with bigger beds

Karen Moore

Good location, with nice sized rooms but as nearly all VA Beach oceanfront hotels, it needs some updatingIncredibly small parking lot on-site for such a large hotel makes parking a bit of a challenge Match that with a total of 4 luggage carts for the entire hotel and checking in becomes a bit inconvenient

Arrived two hours before check-in and were able to go straight to our room which was a huge perkOverall a great hotel for a short trip when basic amenities our desired and quick access to the beach is your primary reason for stay

Don Belis

Make sure to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙᴏʟʟʏᴄᴏm when booking a hotel They compare countless booking web sites and normally will have rooms much cheaper than others! You’re welcome :)! This hotel is one of the best in this area

I’ve been staying here for years If you stay for a few days you definitely will love it I’m sure! The nicest hotel staff! They were always holding elevator doors, greeting you, mopping wet parts of the floor by pool So friendly and so helpful

Cheryl Rome

We overnight stayed at the Courtyard for a conference The front desk staff and the housekeeping staff were very friendly The rooms and bathrooms were spacious and clean

The view of the sunrise was spectacular Now the bad part: The decor screamed early 2000s and there were rust spots on the metal trim around the dresser and nightstand I had ZERO hot water for my 7am shower My sliding glass door window had haze between the layers of glass For accommodations that cost over $400 per night, that is unacceptable Speaking of overpriced, a yogurt parfait and 6oz OJ was $11 Come on Marriott! (At least my yogurt was smiling at me) Fix the small stuff and you’ll earn 5 stars from me

I just ended a long trip and was in need of a little R&R This hotel was perfect for what I needed The room was super clean and comfortable

And the spa tub was a nice touchThe location was great, everything was in walking distance Right in the middle of downtownThe best part of this hotel is the staff They made me feel at home, were friendly and checked in on me when I walked past the desk During breakfast the restaurant manager came out and asked every guest how things were going I had a nice chat with the front desk manager and even caught up with the housekeeping managerI also enjoyed everything about the lobby area (shout out to the fruit infused water!) I definitely recommend this hotel

Cathay Shepard

The desk staff was wonderful and friendly The problem was the cleanliness of my room A 7 day stay and my room was cleaned once

Not acceptable in this day in time especially with all the viruses and germs in this world now days I kept asking housekeeping to clean my room but no show Bathtub, toilet, and sink remained dirty with dirty towels all over my bathroom floor I’m so disappointed in the Hilton I hope they get better after this post so others won’t have to experience the things I went through Just expected more from an expensive hotel stay

Rebecca Jackson

The location is great if you want to stay near Town Center I prefer more near the beach but since I wasn’t paying for the hotel, I just enjoyed it as much as possibleThere is a pool

Unfortunately, I did not get a chance to use it because there were a lot of people using itThe rooms are big, at least for the king roomThe staff is GREAT! They are very nice and friendlyThe breakfast was ok I ordered 2 scrambled eggs which came with turkey sausage and potatoes The white of my eggs was a little runny I didn’t send them back because they were very busy so I ate around it and left the uncooked part on my plate The potatoes needed salt but otherwise good and the turkey sausage was good

We loved our stayThe front desk staff was very helpfulHe helped us with the parking as well

Our room was clean, but I cannot say the same thing for the corners !The location is one of the best of the hotel Also the live music was so amazingI was worried a bit about the elevator because there were just two elevators but overall we enjoyed our stay!

K “Mimiko” A

We greatly enjoyed our stay over the weekend! We stayed in one of the oversized suites The front desk staff were very helpful We had a check in past our time and we’re compensated for that, so that was great

I was struggling with the key cards and they quickly helped, even recognized me to do so Our room was very clean, no bugs or anything! Everything stocked The fridge for some reason kept popping open, but that could have been user error Luckily we only had alcohol in it The pool was nice, although I do wish there was more sitting available We were worried about music given some of the reviews but it was off by 10pm The elevator at times was a bit of a hassle but overall we enjoyed our stay!

Tom Roman

I do really like the atmosphere of the hotel, the indoor and outdoor pool is awesome especially the children’s area I like the location of the hotel with all the restaurants and shopsOverall the hotel itself is very nice, and pretty clean

However, the shower had a very high water pressure which can be pretty irritating on skin and the curtain rod being curved let a lot of water on the floor no matter how careful you tried to be I did notice a moist part of the wall in between the door frame and shower edge and you could easily poke a hole in the wall I also barely felt comfortable allowing my 2 toddlers to take a bath in the tub because I can guarantee those jacuzzi jets are not cleaned and sanitized regularlyAs for noise I’d say it wasn’t bad until about 2 days before check out a party not far above us was blasting heavy base crazy loud till about 3am Which was annoying especially since the hotel staff didn’t seem to care to do anythingIt was a bummer we didn’t receive typical house keeping (coming in to freshen and replace linens, vacuum, re-stock, etc) as well as no valet service at the momentStaff was always friendly and helpfulOverall we enjoyed our stay and we would consider coming back

Letizia Walker

We booked with Ocean Beach Club resort and were very pleased with our beach view suite Having a kitchen was helpful The only thing was the Queen size room that was requested really felt as a full size bed

The indoor pool felt more kid friendly and not a place to relax luckily the sister resort next door (connected by the same patio) has a 21and up for indoor pool and hot tub Honestly that saved our trip as my husband and I were on a kid free weekend Overall we enjoyed our stay the staff was friendly and my room was clean and just a few steps away from the beach and restaurants was perfect

j copeland

Overall not the best experience We booked a King suite, but got a Queen studio The panels on the side of the shower/tub fell off onto the floor

There was mold/mildew in the tiles A lot of air in the water lines I understand resort pricing but for what we paid we should at least have an ocean view The bed was hard and had stains on it Privacy curtains didn’t close all the way leaving a three inch gap in betweenPositives: The pools are nice and seem clean Plenty of elevators Staff was courteous Right on the beach Restaurant on-site Within walking distance to nicer hotels

Hotel was amazing Stayed with my wife for three nights The front staff were very helpful and friendly

Everything was explained very well and straightforward The room was very neat and clean The location was perfect Right next to all the action and the pier!My only complaint would be is to service the elevator quicker One of the elevators went down on my whole stay and using one elevator for over 200 guests wasn’t pleasent The wait time was very long and the elevator was packed which isn’t good while social distancing

darron carmon

Upon arrival, it looked nothing like a resort as they advertise It only featured a indoor pool, hot tub and small gym

nothing else It came across as a dated motel As soon as walked into my bedroom there was a bug crawling on the bed The tub wasn’t clean like it should of been so I purchased supplies and cleaned it The gym was visibly dirty so i cleaned the equipment i used One of the elevators wasn’t working leaving to long wait times for the one that was working Now neither elevator is working So we no have to walk up and down 7 flights of stairs I spoke to the lobby staff about the inoperable elevators who directed me to the stairs For the week I spent over 4k for two rooms that I do not believe was worth it They really need to do better

Daniel Cloyd

Remember to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙᴏʟʟʏᴄᴏm when booking a place They compare thousands of booking websites and typically will have rates a lot cheaper than others! You’re welcome :)! This place is one of the most well known in the area

I’ve been coming here for a very long time If you decide to stay here you won’t regret itEverything was nice but the TV location My TV in my room was like on a downward angle But every else was cool There is a pool, jacuzzi, and a nice view of the city or ocean Parking can be tight if there is events going on

Highly recommend You can’t get any closer to the beach than this My family stayed for 3 nights in June 2021 in an oceanfront 1 bedroom suite

2 kids, 2 adults We had plenty of space to spread out in the room (which basically had the layout of a small apartment) The full kitchen and dining room table were definitely useful One large bathroom to share The bathroom had a shower/tub combo AND a stall shower right next to it When we returned from the beach I could bathe the toddler while the 10 year old took a shower at the same time Super convenient Lots of fun things to do for the whole family on the resort grounds The kids never got bored We walked around the neighborhood and found great spots to eat There’s a carnival attraction within a very short drive away from the resort that we took the kids to The boardwalk was great The resort made relaxing on the beach convenient as they provided lounge chairs and umbrellas Check in and check out was a breeze The CONS were that the parking structure was not attached to the resort 1 adult always had to walk back from (or to) the parking garage while the other managed the kids at the resort The other con was that we had a BEAUTIFUL view of the ocean from our balcony but could never go out onto the balcony to enjoy it There were SO MANY mosquitoes and other flying insects perched on the balcony that we couldn’t even open the door for fear that they would enter the room We asked hotel staff if they could power wash or in some way address it but they said there was nothing they could do What a waste of a perfectly good balcony

Cathy Slusher

Great place to stay – very clean, convenient, in a nice area fo town, comfortable beach (not crowded) The adult pool and hot tub area are very nice for us parents of older children The staff was friendly and helpful

They were very accommodating and kind to our service dogBe aware that a second car (even if your condo sleeps 6) is charged a daily parking fee That was not a welcomed change, but I would still go back in a heartbeat

Melanie Riggins

I booked this reservation quickly because of the Hilton name and read reviews later I tried to cancel my reservation due to all of the terrible recent reviews but I was unable to cancel without a fee I went in to this with the mindset that I was likely going to have to eat my money and get another hotel during my stay

I am very picky when it comes to hotels, and yet I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised The room was not ready before 4 but it was very clean when it was ready The location is fantastic, there are wine openers in the rooms Balcony that overlooks the ocean A good kids pool with an outside restaurant to eat/swim If it wasn’t for the god awful bell hop/unloading your car situation I wouldn’t have any issues

I can’t imagine what hotel these other people are reviewing – a 5 rating, really? This actually an old rundown timeshare resort Elevator, stairwells, hallways were extremely old, dated, and unclean Interior the same…old worn out furniture, slider glass dirty, balcony chairs dirty

The entire place looked like it hadn’t seen a fresh coat of paint in 30 years We decided to stay in the area an extra nite, but decided to move down to the Hampton Inn

nosirrah harrbel

Umm what place did these other guest go to Perhaps there was a secret elevator Cause this place was like the Bates motel

We got bite in the middle of the night found a bed bug, roaches in the kicthen carpet was dirty the staff was super nice but i wouldnt stay there if they paid me a billion dollars in cash, or gave me everlasting life they need to close down and find a good extreminator servicedisgusting yuck and horrible There is no negative star to give them A billion thumbs down

Breakfast was great! Big selection and different breakfast everyday Bed was comfortable and clean Front desk manager, Joe, was nice and helpful

Floor wasn’t swept that well nor the table wiped down in my suite, which was something I could live with since the bed was clean and the suite in general was relatively clean The only real issue for me was that the shower and sink water smelled like bleach!! Even my wash cloth and towel smelled like bleach after it was dry the next day

If I could give ZERO stars I would I was supposed to be staying here for 10 weeks, but could only make it through 3 because of their mouse infestation I stayed in room 222 where I first saw the mouse, then was moved to room 209 where I saw it AGAIN

I had to place MY OWN mouse traps since they were to lazy to do it, and woke up to the traps disappearing and being moved by the mouse I was told multiple times by staff that room 222 was being exterminated and traps were being set, but when I went to collect my belongings none of the above were being done The only employee here who was genuine with their help and care for the customer was Lorenzo If you ask me, he should be promoted to store manager since none of the other staff know how to abide by their word Don’t waste your money here unless you want to practice your mouse trap setting skills, because trust me, they have enough mice to go around

An older hotel that is under going some renovations Right on the beach with a great view and easy beach access Has guest laundry on several floors

Easy parking Lots of nearby restaurants The only negative was the breakfast Very poor selection and nothing hot unless a micro was used Hopefully this was do to renovations and not the norm

BAM

Joseph at the front desk is the reason I’d book here again! He is the perfect example of excellent customer service, which is so hard to come by these days! Joseph and Roselina at the front desk were so welcoming and accommodating!!! FIVE stars for those two!!! Other than that, the hotel is clean and comfortable, and conveniently located to pretty much everything you could need 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

I think this is my last stay at this hotel The hotel is falling into disrepair and the way they are still reserving at full capacity while unable to keep up with the cleanliness and forcing the cleaning crews to work harder with fewer staff

I walked into my room and within a few minutes saw 2 fruit flies We went to the beach and when we got back went to give my son a shower and noticed we only had 2 towels I picked up the phone to call down and ask for more towels and the receiver on thr phone was so sticky and gross, I couldn’t pick up the handle When i put my son in the shower, it leaks out onto the floor, so I had to use one of the towels for the floor Meanwhile, the water pressure was minimal and sadI called down for more towels and was told they would be up shortly and never cameAt night, I put thr kids into bed and noticed there was a lot ofnsand in the bed I checked the other bed, and again, there was a ton of sand We hadn’t been in the bedroom until nighttime, so we knew it wasn’t us I wanted to lay down on the sleeper sofa since the kids went to sleep earlier than I had wanted to and there were no linens or blankets to be foundWe went to breakfast at 9:30 It closes at 10 There was NOTHING left Breakfast is over at 10 thankfully, two ladies in the breakfast crew took major care of us and made us fresh eggs and sausage I told her thank you, but I don’t eat pork, and just as quickly, they went back and made us a stack of turkey sausage Thank you Vicki and Zina They are the ONLY reason this review didn’t have 1 starThere are stains on the bed, on the walls, broken tiles, and dirty It’s just not worth the $$ to stay here anymore I was a choice privileges member and it was so I could stay at their location on 20th Since they sold that location and I had so many points left, I decided to stay here I’d stayed here years before and didn’t enjoy it, but the other locations were not nice eitherNeedless to say, it’s my last stay here and I will no longer be a choice privileges member

We had a room block for our wedding back in April The hotel staff and management did a great job helping us set up our room block initially They were very accommodating of adding more rooms as well as keeping us up-to-date on who had booked

The weekend of all our guests arriving there were many who requested other rooms and the hotel staff did a fantastic job mitigating all the requests and making our guests happy! We really appreciated everything that this hotel provided, including the amenities for our guests They loved it and enjoyed their stay, and the views as well

Everything was absolutely perfect! From the private beach to the amazing shower We had a King Suite that was the size of a small apartment and we loved the space The bed was comfy with plenty of blankets and pillows

Every single detail was covered I loved this experience and will definitely recommend my friends to stay at this location Great Job Marriott

After researching several hotels in the area for spring break in April, this hotel was our choice based on what we were looking for while staying in Virginia Beach We definitely chose right!!! The staff, the food, the coffee, the rooms, the pool, the room view, and the convenience of being near everything was a plus for me and my family From the time that we checked in, until the time that we left, I had no complaints

This is the only hotel that I have taken the time to leave a review for because when it comes to hotels, I am very picky This hotels deserves an A plus The women at the front desk were very helpful and had great customer service The maintenance man that came to our room had just started at the time, but he was able to help my son get his game working on the TV right away and was very nice The woman at the restaurant had just returned from being off for a while, had the sweetest spirit and was very kind I have nothing negative to say and we will visit again This will be our getaway spot for sure

Desk staff was great! Our room was clean and loved having a balcony facing the beach We will definitely go to this hotel again The restaurant was good except for the hefty charge they added to our bill which the server explained was to tip the kitchen staff because they don’t pay them enough! Customers should not be forced to tip kitchen staff

They should be paid by the restaurant Of course, we still had to tip the server One of the elevators didn’t work the whole time we were there, there are not enough carts for luggage, and this has nothing to do with the hotel but the city needs to put up signs regarding dogs on the boardwalk and beach My husband was walking our dog on the boardwalk when a cop stopped him and told him dogs weren’t allowed at any time If you look online it says Virginia Beach is a dog friendly place and dogs are allowed on the boardwalk any time Signs would help clarify this

Overall, we enjoyed our stay The rooms were clean and had an amazing ocean view The breakfast was to go style and you don’t have a choice in what to order like you may at a typical continental breakfast

But, I have two young kids and was happy to have to go style we could eat in our rooms We did have to grab extra trash bags because the small waste buckets won’t cut it There is no daily room service, but they give you a number to text if you do need somethingCons: 1 parking instructions were not clear It is $20/day at a garage across the street You need your room key to access When we pulled up to the hotel to unload they were trying to push people to unload and move out My husband drove out before I checked in and he got stuck at one of the garage gates2 Elevator: They only had one elevator in service It was crowded at all times and you had to wait a while for it, sometimes not even being able to fit on One of the staff members said it’s been out of service for at least a month so far

Angie Murphy

I enjoyed my stay at the Hyatt House The staff were friendly and very helpful Someone at the front desk even came to our room to retrieve another guest’s bathing suit that blew onto our balcony for them

The boxed breakfasts were better than I expected and included hot meals each day The bed was comfortable and the room was clean I look forward to staying there again

The room was very clean and had everything you would have in your own house I am very happy with this hotel The price we paid was worth everythingThe hotel follows request very well also When my wife made the reservation she requested to be as high as possible, and to our surprise we were put on the 8th floor the very top That was great the request was fulfilledThe view of the ocean was awesome We even seen a lot of dolphins swimming around The breakfast was good also, however, it was a little disappointed that the did not have some kind of breakfast meat, like sausage or bacon and no scrambled eggs They did have hard boiled eggs insteadOverall I would rate this hotel an A without the meats an A+ if they had it

The staff was extraordinarily friendly and helpful!! The front desk night crew were the best!! Everything was clean and our stay was lovely We enjoyed the room, the pool, and the restaurant, Coach’s Even though the hotel was packed with two conventions nearby, a craft show, and two weddings, the staff staff was amazing and very attentive

I did this stay on a promotion offer and there were only a few issues with the room If they wanted me to be impressed they should have put me in one of the Hilton hotels on the beach as per my preference I was told the hotel was a 5 min walk to the beach that was false

Maybe 5 minutes if I were a fast runner But I don’t run unless in danger and for only a short period of time My issues with the room were the cleanliness the vent in the bathroom was dirty, paint was chipping over the window, paint chips were on the floor The mattress box cover had a grease like stain on it and the shower had zero pressure Taking a shower took forever What I liked was the pool and the staff The staff were attentive and the customer service was amazing! I liked our stay over all

Lara Mi

Please don’t stay in Room 1201!!! The wallpaper and light switches are peeling off the wall and there are spores of mold behind! I had to switch hotels because they were fully booked so I couldn’t just switch rooms They did refund me but I told them not to let anyone else in that room until they get mold services out there, if we had asthma it could have been deadly I hope no one gets assigned that room until they fix the problem

My previous stay here in 2019 before the pandemic and was a wonderful experience What happened to the facilities in the meantime? Overall the staff is kind, the lobby was spotless, but rooms are a gamble so just beware!

Other hotels should takes notes on this place This hotel is modern, spotlessly clean, and well-run I stayed one night on business and I was very impressed

The bathroom is spacious, the rooms are huge, the beds and pillows are comfortable, and the temperature was comfortable Also Shani and Erica, the front desk associates, who also serve as the kitchen cooks and the bartenders, were wonderful A+ customer service!

Excellent hotel will definitely stay again! Modern decor and very clean Room was beautiful, clean and spacious again with a modern look Shower was amazing, hot water and extreme water pressure

Check-in and check-out was easy and no contact by using the app with mobile room key My husband interacted a little with staff at the front desk and said very friendly Breakfast is included nice variety, hot food is served in individual containers for no contact Thank you Hyatt for a great experience⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This hotel looks new, it was absolutely spotless The staff was polite and helpful as well We stayed for a week, room service never came, but I just went and asked for fresh towels and trash to be removed

They do serve breakfast, both hot items and cold, however, I think the food staff is short We always had to wait for fresh coffee and hot items when we went down for breakfast, but the kids loved itThe pool is small and perfect for kids, and the gym is very neat and clean, as were bathrooms

I typically do not leave reviews, but I felt obligated to make other customers aware of the CRIME that could potentially happen while parking at this locationPositive: Nice hotel and clean roomsNegative: This was our 2nd stay here and our SUV was vandalized the first night of our stay

According to the front desk, you are parking at your own risk (please note, there are no visible signs stating this nor are you told when making your reservation or checking in) I was also told by the front desk that this hotel does not have security cameras on the outside of the building nor do they have security to monitor the parking lotsPlease note that if you park beyond the median, you are no longer on their property Again, there are no signs  posted to inform customers if you park beyond a certain point you are no longer on their propertynot that it matters because you’re on your own while parking in the limited parking spaces they have Get there early to park beside the front doorThis will be our last time staying at this location, because it’s apparent that this Mariott is not concerned about the safety and well-being of their customers while in the parking lotI’m so grateful that I (31 weeks pregnant) was not harmed nor was my husband or 2yr old while walking from our vehicle into the building each night I’m sure the criminals will continue vandalizing cars at this location, because its impossible to get caught without any security monitoring Be safe All!

My experience at this hotel was the worse In the fact I am be informed that they are allowed to round up on how much your room total would be and have the right to add additional charges if they feel like it because of how you look or the card you use That is ridiculous (but seeing the guess that was walking in and out)

I have never been to a hotel that just put charges in your account and the Supervisor Incer Foreman states its ok that her employee Dean Smith does this Where do they do this at I definitely would ask what your chargers are before paying to see what your are paying for, if you have a choice i recommend the Delta Marriott its like 300 cheaper and the service is superbIf you have a
