Fast, fun and friendly serviceThe hotel has been able to maintain its premium feel despite its age The rooms are large, comfortable and well appointed

Beds are comfortableWalls are slightly thinClean on the surfaces, but like many older properties there are little things like dust accumulated in the exhaust vents Not a major thing, but little detailsGood value for the property and location

Finally an updated Hilton hotel Was there for 2 weeks for work purposesThe staff was really attentive and worked hard

Hotel was clean Elevators didn’t have a dirty smell and were clean too You need to request the room to be clean, which is not big deal Breakfast was included and was good Good location Will definitely go back to that hotel if I return to the area

M Husain

I was there for 4 nightson the second night of stay I asked for the room to be cleaned and I was told they will try as their staff are busy with cleaning rooms where guest are checking outIn the elevator there was a sign that said they disinfect the room after 5 nights of stay, the fact that they are cognizant that the room needs disinfecting, which was my major concern for asking for a cleanup, puzzled me when they did not show as requested and no one bothered to let me know if they have rescheduledOn other matter the elevator one of them, makes creaking sounds which is loud enough for you to be concerned that the lift may get stuck

They did not care to inspect and repair proactivelyThey have a good system for drinking water dispensing on the floor, I used it regularly, but what was shocking was no one bothers to clean it Someone left a chewing gum wrapper on my 4th floor dispenser and it was there the whole 5 days Makes you wonderI have to say that the front desk staff generally have been courteous and pleasant to interact withIf you want to avoid crowd and bring your breakfast to your room, prepare to make more than one trip as they have not thought of providing bags or trays to carry the food to your roomI wish the front desk made me aware that I needed a parking permit, which I accidentally discovered overhearing a conversation with another guest at the front deskIf you needed to make any change to your reservation after you have checked in, be aware that if your booking was through a third party like Bookingscom etc The hotel will remind you that you need to check out first and then make another reservationThe process is mostly hassle free but so inconvenientHope this helps

Fred Tuerk

Clean rooms w giant tvs & comfy beds Still fairly new And Front Reception were friendly & nice

William did a great job checking-in me, and made sure I had a nice room at good rate 👍

Friendly room service and breakfast teamNice breakfast selection, good pool and basketball courtThe front desk was not professional at all, we stayed there 2 weeks, didn’t get a nice room, didn’t get an upgrade promised, didn’t get a room changed that was promised

they never checked the pool area which got out of control 3 times during out stay

JJ

Rooms stink, bad Staff will not accommodate you when you request to move because, “smell isn’t a good reason for a move or refund We’ll spray it

” Internet is horrible, only works half the time, neighbors pound on your door, whole having a domestic incident, and staff does not care I spend 11 months a year on the road, never staying at a Hyatt again

Matthias Silver

First off

when you pull in, there are no signs to direct you to the front desk, so if you pull in after the doors are locked it is hard to find it Second, when I asked the security guard in the parking lot where the office was he responded “No” That’s all, just no then finally, I find the front desk and ask about a room, to which I got no response, just a glaze-eyed stare from the seemingly stoned desk clerk if you have to ask no, I will not return

Honestly, I was surprised with how nice this Best Western was The rooms were clean, spacious (for a hotel room) and well-maintained, there was plenty of light, a decent-sized TV, a refrigerator and microwave in the room There was also a surprisingly nice fitness center, and a decent complimentary breakfast each morning

The staff was super friendly and helpful and this hotel was close to everything in Benicia I will definitely be staying here the next time business brings me to town

Joel Ricca

Awful place Expensive too There was a party of hotel guests right outside our window signing, drinking, yelling, smoking until 3am! I complained on the phone at midnight and 1am

Nothing changed I went o the front desk in person at 2am to complain and the manager promised to do something about it Nothing changed They kept me up until well after 3am and the management did not care except to say ‘we’re sorry’

Misty Gilbert

If I could give it zero stars I would We flew into San Francisco from being in Hawaii for a week and stayed here on the way home My 2 kids and I got bed bug bites all over arms and my son on his face as well

My husband informed the front desk of the bed bugs when we left The next day I followed up by trying to contact the manager I was given a phone number to call Geraldine I left a message and now two days later no call back I called again today to make sure they are taken care of it and spoke with Karime She advised me that the housekeeper checked and did not find any bed bugs, but she did say they changed the sheets (I would hope so bed bugs or not) We were in room 223 I would steer clear of this hotel

This homewood suites is very clean and comfortable The staff is friendly and go out of their way if you need anything The pool area has lots of seating and even barbecues

The pool is small but still really nice The rooms are spacious and have full size refrigerator and microwave which is nice for long stays I recommend this place and would stay here again

Lena Sinclair

I have stayed here twice because they allow me to bring my German shepherd dog The rooms are spacious and have a small kitchenette- stovetop burners, full fridge w/ice maker, dishwasherBreakfast is decent (warming dish style)

Location is a few minutes from the freeway in a nice area where you see wild turkey roamingPet rooms do have a slight smell- it is the nature of bringing a pet along I suppose But not terrible Overall rooms are clean

Laurie Knickelbein

Breakfast was the WORST! The kitchen staff was rude and the food horrific Boxes to take food to go – are reserved for other employees who load up with breakfast and lunch for the day When a customer asks for a box they say they are out- peak inside the open kitchen door and there are stacks

The food is greasy, fresh fruit- is intermittently put out – if you demand it – only then to they magically find it and bring it out- Advertising breakfast included is a real stretch!

I’m writing this review for my cousin He was treated very badly! I don’t think this is a word but that’s the point to what happen last night My cousin said he came in around check in to check in on the room

(Pablo) said that the room wasn’t ready So my cousin went and chilled in the parking lot Than went back inside and had Pablo ran his card but the moral of the story is he didn’t get a room Make sure you don’t deal with Pablo If you were having a bad day please don’t take it out others

Rosalind Khim

After a long day of travel, we arrived at the hotel very late at night via the complimentary airport shuttle bus We were warmly greeted by the front desk clerk who asked us to make ourselves comfortable as she helped another family secure a room for the night Apparently, the family’s reservation at another hotel had fallen through, but she was able to help

She was kind and mindful of the late hour and serviced everyone as quickly and efficiently as possible In no time, we were all checked in, given room keys and on our way to enjoying our comfortable, spacious and clean rooms So glad we chose Comfort Inn & Suites

Chris M

Good hotel The front desk staff was hilarious The rooms were clean and very nice

The TV had soccer so I could watch the World Cup games One of the elevators needs a little maintenance It’s a bit old, but felt safe The area is a little sketchy and the hotel is hard to find from the street That is my only gripe with it Parking and WiFi was included which is great!

Have been traveling to the lovely city of Concord for more than 25 years and I must say our stay here at Sonesta Pleasant Hills has been the most restful!!!! From booking our room to check in and out was a breeze I requested a disabled room due to my mother’s physical restrictions and the rooms accommodated completely The beds were at an easy sit and stand height

The shower had multiple safety handrails Wonderful for helping mom out in shower Rooms and bathrooms very clean Beds clean and soft to the touch Colors and decor are very nice Good choices of furniture to still be pleasant and functional for disabled Overall great experience!!!!!

Pete Keay

I’d honestly love to sing praises from the heights for this hotel

but it comes with some caveats To the huge positive, the “front desk” staff are consistently impressiveknow me by name, friendly and welcoming to all guests and the support staff are equally gracious The rooms tend to run on the small side, but are very quiet considering the hotel’s location, the beds comfortable and the linens well laundered The mini fridge is just that – mini – so if you intend to stay longer than a weekend I’d suggest that you bring an ice chest The big “lacking” is a microwave, although there is a “common use unit in the ground floor snack area Prices are quite good, but I’d suggest this as a weekender rather than an extended stay site The on-site restaurant was also closed, so zero breakfast/lunch options

Heidi Bunch

Excellent customer service A very pleasant helpful staff The room was very clean, spacious and comfortable

There are lots of restaurants nearby and the staff was very helpful with their recommendations on where to goThe room was quiet and the bed comfortable Parking was easyI’d definitely stay here again

Biggest plus for this hotel is being only 5 minutes from OAK It’s a reasonable Hampton Inn, if a bit older Nice lobby and bar area

Rooms were 4/5, only to be dinged for being probably 10+ years old w/o renovation Front desk check-in was efficient, professional, and pleasant Some decent restaurants are about a 5 minute drive away Nice bonus to be on the walking path along the water front – lots of bird and sea life to see At the end of an OAK runway, so there is some overhead noise – but not nearly as much as I expected And it didn’t impact sleep

V Maxeno

You get what you pay for, the room are pretty outdated and it smells oldYou are far from everything, and in the middle of an industrial areaThe bistro is not worth counting on for your dinner! The staff were nice, breakfast was very decent, and the rooms facing south/west have a very nice view, apart from planes taking off a few hundred feet away 😉

nam

The worst Hilton experience we’ve ever been through They canceled our reservation because our card declined? (which is a lie because we got a confirmation number and a receipt) It was a room for 2 nights and we reserved it for mid day but we arrived late at night Since it was a 2 night reservation it’s standard that as long as we’re paying we can come in whenever

This was not the case! There was a warriors game going on and they immediately gave our room away without notice or any email, text, calls, etc They did this so they could charge higher rates to someone else The reception was also rude and not accommodating, it was clear they were lying because their story kept switching up on why they canceled

Extremely pleased with the room Terrific shower with great water pressure, the best toilet of any hotel I’ve visited and the room was freshly remodeled with a modern feel I found a bed to be comfortable and the desk was great to work from

Only minor grievances I had was you could slightly hear the people walking in the room above you owe that could very well be inconsiderate occupants I’d also like to see a master switch at the door to turn off all the lightsOverall I was very pleased I will definitely use this hotel again

sam graydon

Everything is great, nice and clean Only problem is the morning coffee situation Apparently coffee used to be complimentary but now they’re charging for it, which is fine I guess but every time you go to get a coffee you have to ask someone at the front desk and it takes them like ten minutes to figure out where the cups, creamer, etc are

Every other hotel I’ve ever stayed at treats coffee like a staple – here for some reason it’s way too complicated

Thalia Oliver

I CALLED THIS LOCATION AND ASKED ABOUT MY RETURNING DEPOSIT SINCE IT HAS BEEN 2 WEEKS AND I HAVE NOT RECEIVED $0 DEPOSIT BACK IF YOU PAY WITH A DEBIT CARD the employee Jeremy QUOTED IT TAKES 1-2 months of a return of a $100 deposit??? I wonder if this is illegal I don’t recommend this hotel as they are getting interest off people deposit

Perfect location if you are travelling through Oakland Literally 3 minutes to the airport We stayed in a Pure Wellness room and the air purification was amazing

You could literally smell the clean Not a fragrance clean, simply clean air Beds amazing and super comfy and crisp yet soft but again super clean Let’s talk staff Top notch bend over backwards to help you the entire time If they were on the elevator before you they stop and push buttons for you Simply all were just treasures Kudos The food at the bistro restaurant was super good We all enjoyed it so much We’ll done Marriott

Forte Art

Wonderful place to stay It’s got a 24-hr gym and an outdoor swimming pool Both indoor and outdoor lounging areas have comfortable furniture

The hotel is fairly secured with access gate People can still climb over the fence (6ft high?) I gave it a 4-star because there wasn’t a full restaurant inside and it’s expensive Fortunately there was lots of restaurants nearby Also the rear entrance door slam shut really loud; they should adjust it Also my room’s bathroom door couldn’t be closed fully; something was wedging it Otherwise, everything was clean and comfortable

Katherine Pacpaco

Location is by the airport so convenient for early or late flights and if you just want to stay by the airport I was upgraded to a PURE wellness room so appreciated the upgrade There’s an air filter and the carpet and furnishings are supposed to be cleaned better than a normal room

I slept fine, bed comfy and air purifier not too loud but no that quiet either Other than that it’s good typical Courtyard room Room was clean and not too noisy being that it’s by the airportBeing that there is increased crime rates in the Bay Area at least the hotel recognized this and I saw a security guard both outside and inside the hotel For a traveler this may be off putting but in my eyes better safe than sorry

Way better places out there – no idea how they have anything above 2 star reviews $150 pet fee that they do not disclose at booking Employees are inept and cannot resolve the smallest of problems

The place was dirty $10 parking charge Simply a terrible place to stay No where near the standards of Marriot The entire experience was terrible from customer service to cleanliness to lack of managers It took three days and multiple phone calls to get a manager on the phone

Orlando Givens

Whatever you do, avoid doing business with these criminals I wish I could give them negative stars My brother warned me about Marriott

Dear God I wish I had listened Under no circumstances will I ever lay my head, or pay for anyone else to lay theirs on one of there pillows ever again This entity sees absolutely no problem with reserving four thousand dollars on your credit card for a bill less than half that amount They think it is perfectly acceptable to hold funds indiscriminately with no logic, or reason Press them on their hyper-aggressive practices and they say it’s their “system” over which they have no control I don’t believe that for a nano-second Save yourself the heartache and stress and simply choose another place to get a decent night’s sleep

D S

This is a fairly recent build of a typical suburban Residence Inn propertyThe location is wonderful, convenient to freeway access by car, and adjacent to a very nice shopping complex on footThe staff is uniformly accommodating and welcoming, adding the “icing on the cake” to what makes this a great choice for your accommodations

My first stay here I was pleased with the experience Friendly staff

Parking is easily available I like the hotel design It appears small until I saw the interior and central green area with a pool, tables, BBQ, etc The hotel is circular with room windows overlooking the central green area The room windows have a view central green area with a pool, tables, BBQ; instead of the parking lot or freeway Breakfast choices were good I’ll be back

It’s a basic Hotel nothing fancy Always clean and has some great amenities such as a gym a beautiful pool and breakfast in the morning But it’s not a high-end place or anything it’s just clean comfortable and gives you the basics of what you need to stay overnight out of town

The Inn at Benicia Bay is a gem, and we can’t wait to come back We got married in Benicia in June 2022, and all of the bridesmaids + me and my now-husband stayed at the Inn at Benicia Bay We did all of our wedding preparations at the Inn, and held a farewell breakfast in the beautiful courtyard the day after the wedding

From the day we wandered in and met Tracee 10 months before the wedding, we’ve had an incredible experience Tracee is so kind, attentive, and communicative, and even invited us to visit the inn the week before the wedding so we could walk through the rooms and talk through details On the wedding weekend, Michael was manning the inn, and he was incredible Like Tracee, he was incredibly attentive and thoughtful, and went way above and beyond to make sure we had an amazing stay The rooms themselves were beautiful, the courtyard was gorgeous, and the breakfast from the Italian bakery/restaurant were incredible We can’t wait to come back!

Philip York

We had an amazing time at our recent visit at the Inn at Benicia Bay The staff were friendly and extremely helpful The Cafe served up amazing food and drinks

Breakfast was a nice touch to our stay One of the things that really impressed us was the grounds themselves Beautiful inside and out and they have really been able to create a peaceful vibe Will definitely go back for another stay

Cheryl Gourley

The area is beautiful and Tracee and Dennis are so welcoming that you will feel like family! The Italian bistro is so authentic and the coffee is absolutely perfect I love the style of the themed rooms, lofted ceilings, hand-crafted soap, and sunny patios everywhere Not to mention the most important part: a super comfortable extra large bed

This is a great idyllic inn and is located right downtown and by the harbor so you don’t have to drive I have come over and over and still look forward to the stay I would love to have a family reunion here next year It looks like it could be a great venue as well

The bottle of wine I preordered to be in the room was not there One they overlooked this, second they blamed me for not selecting a certain brand after they finally found my request (later I discovered that there’s only one choice of this type of wine offered here)I’m use to staying in places that this isn’t ever a issue or concern I usually tip out a $100 before I get to my room If there’s a question they call and ask like the wine Not just ignore the special request all togetherStaff have been friendly and the food has been good This is nice at a restaurant but with the previous mentioned issues they fall short of a claimed 4 star hotelStart at the bottom here I guess, everything will be a bonus from here on outUpdate; The hotel did send a complimentary bottle of wine with a nice card The wife was happy about the wine and I appreciated the thought and effort of the card Thus a star addedWhat was not mentioned was that our suite overlooking the beautiful courtyard was subject to hosting events I had to keep the blinds and windows closed for any privacy which is not what I wanted in sunny California, and did nothing for the noise These events were held a little late and early in my opinion to not bother guests 9:30 or so at night before guests left and staff had things cleaned up The doors to the courtyard were located at the wall of our bed So a lot of banging doors between guests and staff leaving while trying to get ready for sleep Thus no additional starsConclusion; 2 1/2 stars, place has potential, food was very good consistently, unsure if we’ll stay again and take the risk

We have been blown away by the hospitality, services, and property (pool/spa, yes!) at Lafayette Park A complete joy to stay here Every member of the front desk staff, in particular, showed our family authentic care and kindness

We took advantage of the area, walking distance to downtown Lafayette and that adorable Headlands Brewery — and the Lafayette Reservoir too! Thank you to Lafayette Park for everything!

This review is for our interaction with Lafayette Park which ultimately led to our inability to stay there As parents to an infant and four year old, we were very much looking forward to a night away Unfortunately, we mistakenly booked for the day of booking rather than the following weekend when we planned on staying

We realized our error a few hours later and immediately called Lafayette refused to work with us We assured them we would be booking again for the correct date to no avail So now we are out almost $300 which will cost us our ability to get away at all We are very saddened that their staunch devotion to their corporate rules won out over common sense and decency Book with caution

Night desk help was very helpful and friendly, morning team seemed to be bothered by us checking out Especially the gentleman that kept coming out from the back office! Stayed both before we flew out and when we returned We had the same experience both times

Hotel is being renovated (really needed!,) so some rooms are nicer than others Great water pressure and lots of hot water! Could be the morning staff deals with construction complaints more than night crews and thus the grumpiness First night was on the first floor, Window locks didn’t work Was a little worried since the hotel has a giant security fence around the perimeter No maintenance staff for the evening so we used what was there to secure it Slept better on the plane the next day LOL! Very convenient to the airport and understand hotel is being renovated I am sure it will be back to what is was in no time

Southwest Airlines screwed 56 of its customers and put most of us up in this hotel The hotel was fast, efficient, and had two people working the front desk once we finally got to the hotel They had a small free shuttle to and from the airport and given there were so many of us rescheduled to fly out at 6am the next morning, provided uber rides to ensure that their guests arrived back at the airport on time, early the next morning

They provided us with comfy beds, a hot shower, and had a quick grab-and-go breakfast ready with hot coffee Kudos to the two PM workers and especially the night shift front desk staff member who worked his tail off to ensure a smooth morningThank you for making our unanticipated stay a little more bearable

We checked in around 5:30 pm on Sunday May 8, and found out that the shampoo, shower gel and coffee condiments (sugar, cream, etc) were not refilled We asked the front desk for refills but unfortunately, the housekeeping was gone for the day

However she was kind enough to give us a shampoo in a plastic cup I haven’t experienced this on other Holiday Inn Express locations The breakfast was good but that’s about it I don’t think I’ll be coming back to this hotel when we visit Oakland again
