Check in process was really fast an easy, we found our room easily We asked for help a few times for a few things and the lady at the desk didn’t hesitate to help us We chose the King Suit and it was worth every dollar spent

It was very clean & everything was nice put together We were close to the workout area and pool The only complaint I have it that we could hear people from upstairs & someone tried to walk in our room while we were in there, they heard us and walked out I’m assuming it was house keeping so we didn’t think twice about it If we travel back to Ohio we will be back! this Hotel was very nice & staff was very friendly

Oma Livy (Livy)

I have to say about the Hampton Inn & Suites Xenia Ohio From the clean hotel to the warm reception i give them a 100% The manager the staff, infact everyone there is super kind and helpful 😀I remember not getting our luggage for days and the manager offered to help and went as far as staying on the phone for over an hour to speak with the airline on my behalf

I totally appreciate and loved my stay at the hotel It felt like home away from homeI’ll really recommend this place over and over again For your comfort, peace of mind and hood hospitality, the price is totally worth itRecommendationThey need to add varieties to their breakfast menu 😋 spice it up with different foods options They’re doing well but need to spice up a bit though

Rooms were dirty – not vacuumed (employee told us they don’t have enough vacuums so use “sticky rollers” sometimes) We went in and out of 10-12 rooms and finally knew that all were the same – dirty We even joked about just give us a vacuum – should a guest have to vacuum their room instead of the employees? Not funny! All rooms were same – not vacuumed, filmy mirrors and some bathroom floors gross

I had to pick dried mud/grass clumps off carpet and show to employee checking us in! Manager Brad in morning didn’t apologize; said he needed 48 hours to investigate and get back to us Two weeks later, nothing from him Called and emailed customer care – NO ONE CARES! ($159 for gross carpet/one hour to check in/9 hours in room/mediocre breakfast/non professional employees) We couldn’t tell employees from guests as all wore street clothing and no name badges One front desk employee smoking outside front door – thanks for sharing that cigarette! A wonderful place to stay When we checked in the staff was friendly and we entered the elevator which was clean our whole stay When we walked into our room it was completely clean

We were provided with lots of towels, a clean shower that has body wash and shampoo, as well as hand soap which was very soft on our skin and moisturizing The beds were very comfy in my opinion My mom would probably rate the beds 4 because they were “a little hard, but the pillows were good” The TV has quite a few channels and we watched The Office our whole stay We were also provided with a closet, drawers, and some shelves for our belongings As for the gym it was quite good They had an elliptical, a bike, some treadmills, and weights They also had a pool which we didn’t use My mom was disappointed that there was no hot tub but that’s okay There was also some coffee and tea bags provided and even a hot water maker so you could make it in the comfort of your room Overall a great stay even if we only were here for a night One last thing, breakfast was very good and had lots of options for drinks and food, and the staff kept up on making sure items were stocked and clean

Lexie Althore

Very clean! Great service and location Delicious breakfast I am happy staying here while I’m in town for work

I’m night shift and the blackout curtains are great and I haven’t had any trouble sleeping during the day between shifts I only wish I could use the pool late at night when I’m off with adult only hours, but it closes at 10

Arielle Willer

I wanted to like this hotel, but was disappointed Good things: nice lobby, nice hang out patio with gas fire fixture, spacious rooms, beds fairly comfortable Disappointing things: breakfast very simple affair and gets boring after 2 days, pool is absolutely frigid and unpleasant to swim in

My 3 year olds lips turned blue The front desk said it was set to 80 something degrees, but the pool room is blasted by the a/c, so it’s just extremely cold I overheard another guest saying it had been like that for months Pretty disappointing when one of the reasons we chose it was the indoor pool

The hotel/rooms “look” nice but that’s about itAfter a long travel, the desk clerk was extremely rude and short while checking in As I was confirming our room she answered the phone mid conversation and ignored my questions after handing me the room keys

Not to mention every clerk throughout the weekend looked as I’d they had just rolled out of bed So unprofessional Our room space and bed were decent, however the shower ran out of hot water after 5 minutes every evening and the counters/surfaces were not cleaned/wiped down from the previous guests With Covid, I would expect a hotel to be on top of their sanitizing game We had to shower as quickly as possible which was not relaxing at all The toilet wouldn’t flush correctly so we had to press the lever twice every time Breakfast wasn’t available for the weekend and the pool was closed due to “humidity making the fire alarm go off”The elevators rarely worked as well For the price we paid, we would expect at least decent hospitality, a clean room, access to amenities and a warm shower to relax in after traveling If I were a Hilton I would be ashamed to have my name associated to this place

Julie Mikulich

We travel often for travel baseball, and we prefer to stay at Hilton Garden Inns This one has a very fantastic, positive, helpful staff, but the hotel could use some improvements Definitely way understaffed

We stayed for 3 nights Not enough pool towels The cleaning staff and the breakfast staff seemed overwhelmed and understaffed (but still super friendly) Please give Tania a raise – she went above and beyond for my family Thermostat never worked right in our room (507) Breakfast was great but the voucher system is a pain At previous Hilton Garden Inns, you just give your room number and order If we paid for breakfast with our room reservation, we shouldn’t need vouchers (that we weren’t even given upon initial check-in) This hotel could learn a lot from the one in Carmel, IN! Would love for both managers to chat with each other someday about their hotels!

Tiffany Mohler

Rooms are very nice, front desk was very nice The reason I’m giving lower then 5 star is because nothing grosses me out more then random hairs that don’t belong to me With that being said I have a suggestion, either use paper towels, a Swiffer, or vacuum the hairs before you mop

Also the pillows were like a big puff of air No support So maybe bring your own pillow The staff was very nice and when we checked out the lady that my husband spoke with at the front counter deserves 5 stars on customer service We would possibly stay here again

This was one of the cleanest and nicest places we’ve stayed at for a quick overnight stay When traveling and you hit 11PM – 1AM we have come not to expect much from a layover hotel like this This Holiday Inn was a breath of fresh air, and the staff were super friendly

Attached to a conference hall, if you’re looking at an event here and curious about the accommodations – it was quiet, comfortable and we would absolutely stay again

Lee Wemmer

The hotel in general and the room were very clean, fresh, and pleasant Our issue is with the advertised attached restaurant IT IS CLOSED!! When you make plans to stay at a hotel largely based on convenience, it is disappointing at the least when you are informed at check-in that you have to drive for meals etc

There are two fastfood restaurants close, otherwise it is about 6 miles one way to a decent restaurant

Gabriella Kaecher (Gab)

Very convenient location Close to everything, only about 3 mi from the air force museum The rooms could use some updating

We had Jacuzzi room Room was very clean The staff was excellent Very friendly! The breakfast buffet was very good, a little something for everyone The staff that was stocking it was very friendly, coming around asking if everything was ok,and if we needed anything The pool was clean as well Overall, we were very pleased, on a side note, the rooms are not soundproofed at all We were on second floor and first night the room above us had someone that was up most of the night walking around, heavy footed which was quite annoying and a room next to us was a bit loud I always travel with ear plugs and a white noise sound machine so was able to lessen the noise Will definitely return again Very hospitable staff!

Mrs Mimi G

I could show you the room, but you can see that online After a long day of travel and work, I found this little gem of a hotel hidden Picked a room with the jacuzzi and relaxed! Although they were out of the wine, they offered some chocolate 🤷🏻‍♀️The view was especially nice because There was not a lot of traffic, so I could keep the blinds open and enjoy the peace and quiet

Breakfast was great, and checking out was super simple!I was a little hard to find, but I like the fact that it was hidden!

Chuck Lichiello

This was not the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in, but it was quite expensive ($163+ for one married couple) and at that price it should be WAY better than it is! You probably want to know if I saw bed bugs – and fortunately, I didn’t, but everything else about the place is a LOW “C” grade OUR most maddening complaint was the comfort level – there wasn’t one We were there in May, with seasonal weather, and the place was stiflingly hot! The common areas on the first floor all felt like the pool room, and our room, on the 2nd floor was even hotter

The room AC (which was one of those wall-through units which CAN turn a room that size into a refrigerator) was locked on one setting I KNOW it was locked because NONE of the buttons would respond to any command – couldn’t turn it up, couldn’t turn it down, couldn’t turn it off – nothing! I’d say it was about 75 in there, which is just too high for us – especially after a shower Desk clerk said vaguely that all they could do was move us to another room Well we had to leave for an appointment very soon and I would have bet money that any other room would have been locked on 75 too – especially since the common areas were also uncomfortable, so we just put up with it for one night and found other accommodations for the rest of the trip

Kevin is amazing we drove in extremely late at night , he was able to get us a great deal on a very clean room I wish I had more time to explore the hotels offerings but from what I saw it was very nice and not overly expensive the bedding was comfortable, the room was spacious and quiet Parking was a breeze and it is located next to some great food options

10/10 would stay again

Theresa Penick

This hotel was pretty decent The continental breakfast was pretty tasty, though they were slow to keep items filled with 45+ minutes left of breakfast time None of us slept very well because the mattresses were too firm

Housekeeping was fine and the room was clean It kind of sucked that there was not a cart to be found in our building when we were taking everything to the car early in the morning I would probably stay here again

B. Bowen

The property is spread out with many outdoor amenities to enjoy for that home away from home feel! There is an outdoor pool, half court basketball(Front desk has basketball balls), and a very clubhouse type feel with a nice outdoor patio and sitting area These are all things that are nice to enjoy of your here for a few days or on a work trip for a few weeks

checked in an had a great experience the front desk staff was wonderful on the night of 02JUL2019 I wish I had got her name so I could give her the props she deserved We booked are room as we were driving in town, and she did a great job having everything prepared before we pulled up! Just heads up the parking lot is currently being ground up and replaced But this had little to no impact on our stayjust a heads up!

The room was great Air conditioning worked well, the room was quiet, clean and spacious The continental breakfast was great and there was plenty of seating

My only gripe was with the fitness room Getting a half hour or so in on a treadmill is a part of my morning and this location had one treadmill that worked great, one that really needed maintenance and one that wasn’t working at all If there was more than one person using the fitness room, someone would be out of luck Otherwise, a great location Recommended!

Ashton Smith

Very clean and inviting as soon as you walk in Rooms were clean and a very good size! Pool was on the smaller side & no spa But kids still had fun

The main reason for the 5 stars is for THE STAFF! They were all so pleasant and helpful I’m never been to a hotel where every single person working acknowledges you and makes sure you have what you need and that your stay is going well

Seth O’Brien

Our room had a bed with big sag in it Bathroom door would not shut completely Looks to have settled or had water damage

Tile floor was also broken Public bathroom smelled horrible and had not been clean in the morning Pool was niceOther family said their room was great Breakfast was good

I stayed here for a night and it was fine Not the best Residence Inn I’ve stayed and not the worst The sheets were scratchy (I had read this in a prior review and I wasn’t sure what that meant, but now I get it!) It’s an older hotel and could definitely use some updating and the carpets in the hallway in the stairway had some crumbs and could use some cleaning

The front desk staff was pleasant I was bummed they put me on the top floor even though I had requested a low floor I guess the hotel was sold out that night, so I get itWould’ve been five stars had the room and hallway been a bit cleaner and sheets a bit softer

Megan Arnold

The room is very nice I like the full kitchen and open area for the dining table I wasn’t impressed with the “cleaning”

When we showed up there was hair on the bathtub side and bottom The breakfast was the nicest variety I have seen, they even had gluten free muffins The pool is small but enough for the kids to play for a little while before getting bored But the location is right in front of a huge mall which we walked to numerous times There are tons of other stores minutes from this location if you needed anything (walmart, food etc) it’s real close We will be back

Rob P

Place needs some TLC Did not feel like a Marriott experience Many areas dimly lit

Many plug-in air fresheners used to stabilize common areas Guest Room needs a good detail cleaning Housekeeping was not available & hope this will change soon Nice recycle bin in room but didn’t see the same outdoors This is my 1st 2 star rating ever about a Marriott Hotel Over priced for being two stars

Stayed for a long weekend in Yellow Springs and was pleasantly surprised by the attention to detail that we found at Mills Park The room was well appointed, and the bed was made tight enough you could have bounced a quarter off of it Our corner room had views overlooking the main street and was very quiet

The coffee-bar and refrigerator area was very nice and their take on the typical hotel closet was pretty neatThere was a writing desk, a sitting chair, appropriately-sized bedside tables, and local art on the wallsThe hotel is nicely decorated, the front desk staff very welcoming (even let us check in slightly early), and were able to answer any question we had about the hotel and the surrounding areaThe public areas of the hotel were very nice, we ended up sitting in the lobby one evening to catch the weather and have a couple of beverages, and the gift shop was one of the nicer ones I have seen in a long while Local artisan items for sale along with things you may have forgotten as well as snacks and drinks None of it was “hotel expensive” but seemed reasonableOverall, great location and a great stay

Scott Dewalt

Checked out by 11am, went to the restaurant in the lobby for breakfast, waited 30 min for a table then 30 more min without a waitress or waiter seeing usWe left to eat somewhere else and 1 hr later the bill came through on my email and there was an additional 12500 “Late Checkout Fee”

Tried to call and their phones were down So, I drove back to the hotel to express my concern When I spoke to the receptionist she quickly stated I’m not going to argue with you, I find it best just to refund you money I just go off of the list Housekeeping turns in I left with a new receipt but have to wonder how many times they do this and it’s not noticed We won’t be back It’s a shame since Yellow Springs is such an interesting placeAlso to note, my email to the manager never initiated a return callDisappointing

Jody

Would completely recommend Rooms are very comfortable, even though I thought there was no daily housekeeping with Covid, I got fresh towels and toiletries every day Building is new but built to seem old, so lots of woodwork and touches that you don’t see with new hotels

I was solo in a standard room and it was larger than the pictures make it look

Stayed here with family and I really love the rustic feel and modern amenities Unfortunately, there are several mice Within less than 24hours we caught three and saw a fourth

The location is more rural so maybe people expect this but I did not, and certainly not so many This is my second time here – first time we also saw a mouse but thought we’d give it a second try I probably won’t stay again…I just can’t sleep knowing there are mice running around inside, but otherwise the place is nice Hopefully something can be done to address the rodent issue

unique as the mill with a 200# lid and a repurposed corn roaster (that weighs in at a hefty 700 pounds)   The B&B has 3 rooms, all with private baths  Two rooms with a queen bed are located upstairs along with a community sitting area equipped with a television and DVD player

Downstairs is an open layout with a kitchen, eating area, island and cozy sitting area by the fireplace  Also located on the first floor is a large bedroom with 2 queen beds and a private bathThe property would make for a great family retreat or family reunion location  Bring the kids and let them sleep on the floor if needed! Randy did inform us that scout troops come to spend the night at the mill and camp on the large grounds just to the back of the millThe Mill offers tours on the weekend  Take advantage of this landmark  I’m not much of a history buff, but this was a fantastic experience  Sometime, just for one night, stay at the Mill  It’s peaceful and quiet and would be a great experience for your kids  There is a fantastic covered bridge just down the way which is another adventure

Great location and very clean room The staff was friendly and helpful as well The reason it is not 5 stars is because each morning they ran out of hot breakfast items by the time we got to breakfast which was still an hour from breakfast closing

In addition, the soap dispenser in the bathroom was broken and the elevator had an unpleasant pungent odor The cold breakfast selection was decent, but if the hotel advertises a warm breakfast, they should make enough for all of the guests

Katie L.

A friendly notice There is HOT BREAKFAST but you have to know who to ask to get it They keep it behind the counter, indicated with a little sign atop a food container

It will list your breakfast options and then you just ask the person at the desk to get you some Sometimes the option really sucks and other times it’s good I’m a contract worker and spend significant times outdoors working If you NEED a good breakfast like me to last you the day, I’d honestly just stay somewhere else unless you intend to make it yourself in the morning They are suite style rooms, so you certainly could given the mini kitchenette you have in your room Other than that, I still prefer the Home2 over the other Hilton options in the area For the space and comfort I feel, I think it ends up being worth it The Hampton Inn has great breakfast, however it’s a bit outdated Then the Tru is certainly nice but you get reduced amount of points for stays If you stay with Hilton to get points, then that could matter

Kerstin N.

Honestly one of the best hotel stays I’ve ever had, and I’m pretty particular about hotels Quiet stay, big well-lot parking lot, free breakfast, lots of seating and space to spread out in the breakfast/lobby area The hotel suite itself was spacious and clean, and it seemed fairly new

I appreciated the use of reusable mugs/plates/bowls in the lobby to cut down on waste The workout room and pool were more open and inviting than most hotels I’ve come across We had a short stay but this would be a great spot for longer stays too

I usually give bad reviews because so many good reviews are fake or paid forBut when a business stands out I have to give 5 starsThis hotel was the cleanest hotel I have stayed in in the past 2yrs

I was checked in by Jason who was very polite and he went out of his way to help me out The next morning I had some questions and the morning manager Nicolle was very helpful and went above and beyondWill definitely be back if I’m in the area again Thank you for still believing in customer service in this day and age!

I made a reservation with the front desk at Holiday Inn Dayton/Fairborn I-675, an IHG Hotel I actually spoke with Shawn S to make my initial reservation and he was able to assist me in making a 6 day reservation

I later found out that he is fairly new at the Holiday Inn Dayton, but he was fantastic He was able to help me with everything I needed Today I called to confirm my reservation and I spoke with Christina N, who was extremely friendly and helpful too She took the time to email me information that I wanted/needed about my room status and cost Thank you IHG and Holiday Inn for hiring such friendly and competent people!

My company sent me out here to train at a different store so I can come back home to run my new store The first day wasn’t that bad and the staff were really nice But, my second day is when I ran into problems

my company paid for the rooms and they just needed my card for the $25 charge just in case of accidents Understandable I would sayNope, not understandable at all to this hotel! They charged me $150 the second day I was there! “By accident” is what I was told I let it slide the second day and got my money returned to me the day after You would think it would end there! The morning of my money returning I got charged another $150 two more time!!! Not only that but I had a car payment to come out that same day and missed it because I was missing an additional $300 and still am! I was understanding the first time, but two more times in a day is ABSURD Not only did they take over $400 on and off throughout the week, but the room was subpar with nasty carpet spots that smelled everywhere and them fixing and rectifying my issue was as well Just a quick, “we’re sorry and it won’t happen again” is all I got They could have at least comped the room, free meals or anything to smooth over the blatant negligence of employee mistakes STEER CLEAR OF THIS PLACE Might as well be a truck stop or a motel at this point Least they could have done is one week free at anotjer owned hotel or anything to make me come back Goes to show you, you can’t trust all reviews on Google Zero stars if I could

Receptionist was friendly and tried to be helpful However, for over $200 a night, I expected better No shampoo/lotion in room

No functioning ice machine on 4th floor (broken), soda machine on floor sold out TV remote was missing Got a replacement but it still didn’t work so we had no functioning television during our stay Come on Marriott You can and should do better Your quality is slipping

Jeff Griffin

A Marriott in name only Quality was lacking Went to front desk in the morning after our first night to ask for certain deficiencies to be fixed (bathroom door wouldn’t lock, thermostat not working, bathroom outlet not working, very slow bathroom drain)

Manager Pamela didn’t take any notes, or apologize, or address any of our issues She didn’t seem to care in the slightest Breakfast was gross Pool seemed polluted (and very cold) Ick You should keep looking

Ola Faye

Not sure if this happens all the time, I stayed here for four nights and I did not get any good sleep for those four nightsNights was noisy with people playing loud music Yelling all into the nights/ morning

I called front desk to help control the noise It stopped but next night it was the same all over I just gave upBreakfast is just breakfast nothing to write about it Good customer service
