After a terrible experience elsewhere (a budget motel) we booked last minute here and we’re blown away by their hospitality and kindness They offer free apps and 2 complementary drinks from 5:30-9:30pm!Super warm and friendly at check in Went the extra mile for us to feel welcome

Our room had a balcony overlooking the River!

Missie Mcdowell

I would put a negative 10 if that was a option Horrible place and I would not recommend in They charged me with smoking in my room EVEN though I infact did not once smoke nor do I smoke

The smoke sensors did not go off and the front desk admitted that(disputing the charges) I can not believe how crooked this place is Kids yelling and running the hallways at 9pm with no punishment but want to accuse me of something I didn’t do The rooms are small and over priced I came to Yakama for a mini vacation and got screwed in the process Thank you oxford!

We were in town for a memorial service for a former colleague They let us check in early, so we could change for the service and freshen up after being on the road for 4 hours They gave us the bereavement rate which we weren’t expecting

Rooms were clean and we had a good night’s sleep before heading home Definitely would recommend and stay again should we return to Yakima

I have stayed at this Hilton a few times now We have had both really good & not so good stays Some staff are very welcoming & helpful and some are very rude & not accommodating

It’s a hit & miss there Overall it is a great hotel with fairly clean rooms, good location & lots of extras other hotels do not offer Of note, when I did complain about certain things during my stay, the woman at the front desk did everything possible to remedy the situation I wish I got her name as she was wonderful This is where I will always go & take my family when in the area

jammaster_mom

Excellent hotel with a great location My family of 5 stayed in their 2 queen suite We enjoyed having 2 rooms for all of us

The kitchen area with microwave, fridge, dishwasher and tons of counter space was perfect My youngest enjoyed the indoor heated pool The hot breakfast had tons of great options for all of us My kids also had fun playing in the game room with the XBox There are tons of food choices in walking distance to the hotel

kalem johnson

beautiful rooms! Absolutely TOP notch customer servicei had a question for one of the individuals at the front desk and while i was there i was rudely interrupted by an arriving customer, and while i was (as politely as humanly possible) trying to laugh it off and still get my question asked, not even answered, the arriving party asked i be removed from the property due to “my interruption” and the front desk handled it with tact, and nothing but professionalism! the employees here are absolutely the best I’ve had the privilege with, during my stays at this beautiful hotel

If Google had the option to provide a zero star review, I would I arrived at the Holiday Inn around 2:30 pm I understand check in time is at 3:00 pm, but the desk manager (Annelise Fuerst) was incredibly rude in informing me that she had a large quantity of turnovers the night before and that she had no idea when rooms would become available

I recommend she go into a different line of work – customer service is not for her I ended up being able to check in around 6 pm, where I was then informed after sitting in the lobby for 25 hours that two out of my three nights had been canceled, after I booked the rooms months in advance to prepare to take the bar exam the next day I highly highly recommend you look for a place to stay other than here I was able to book a room at the Oxford Suites and have had a great experience!

C Burnett

Check in was easy Good food in bistroBut

I was on a business trip for four days I get that there is no cleaning for “extended stays”, but I came back from a 6 am to 3 pm work day and I had to call the front desk for facial tissues, toilet paper, and coffee Reallysomewhere in 8 hours someone could not check on my room? And! When I got back at 3 they had allowed a tour bus to block the entrance to the parking lot The people from the bus where 12 deep waiting for the elevator Had to go back outside to access the stairs to walk up to the 5th floor

Bethany Hendren

The staff here were amazing!! I stayed here for a month for a military school and they made me feel welcomed from day one They seem to be understaffed sometimes especially during busy nights or events Eddy & Jamie and all the restaurant staff work diligently to provide the best service possible although they are overworked

The front desk manager Ana and everyone who worked the front desk met every need possible for me during my school They helped me so much by printing off documents for my classes, providing wake-up calls and just being so friendly every day coming or going from the hotel I HIGHLY recommend Holiday Inn, Yakima (not in union gap) for your stay If it’s one night or A month long, the staff here will make you feel at home and they make a point to know your name right away I know I’ll stay here if I ever return

This hotel exceeded my expectations Looks like an older building from the exterior but rooms are nicely renovated The hot breakfast is served every morning and is always well done

There is a small pool/spa that’s open 24hrs Adequate parking w/overflow at nearby lots for oversized vehicles Overall very pleased with the value and amenities offered by this hotel

Rhonda Peterson

I stayed here in Yakima while my father was in hospice I had to extend my days on a daily basis, and was always able to keep the same room The staff was so warm and friendly it made my stay twice as Nice, the lady who runs the breakfast area was oh so kind

And one of the ladies at the front desk was so kind to me on the phone every time I would call an extend my day I give this place a four stars

Lindsay Y.

I usually don’t stay here, but my normal place was booked so I took a chance I was sorry I did the moment I walked into our room It smelled like someone had been smoking I’m there for a month straight

There were big, yellow stains on the sofa pull out mattress cover and what looked to be red lipstick smudges on the pillow case I was able to get a new room, thankfully! The pool was filthy! I ended up skimming it myself after finding a bandaid, giant hairball and a few other things that don’t belong in a pool! I was charged for 3 nights, but I only booked 2 It wasn’t a hold like hotels often do, it was an actual additional charge of a full night’s stay When I tried to contact customer service, it was non-existent other than a generic email that sends an auto-reply I called the front desk numerous times to speak with a manager, but I was given the runaround every time I finally reached someone by email and explained everything that transpired They argued with me about the charges and offered me points for a free night I wanted my money back! Not only did they not refund my money, they also failed to give me those points for that free stay and they didn’t respond to me again I don’t recommend this hotel for many reasons, the location, shady people hanging out by your car during the night, outdated, cigarette odor in the rooms, filthy and unsanitary pool, terrible customer service!! Overpriced by far!! You can get a nice King Suite at one of the brand new hotels in Yakima for less per night

We stayed here with my parents for a memorial service The rooms were clean and spacious The fridge and microwave worked well

The bathroom and sinks were clean The vending machines were well stocked and breakfast was great The staff was friendly and welcomingEdit to add: The parking lot wasn’t great The spaces are small, so any SUV had to park over the lines which made parking awful for anyone else

Gorge-Us Designs

There was a dirty sock and deodorant behind the chair in our room, and dust all over in front of the microwave Other than that the room was nice! They did however have an AMAZING breakfast! Those ladies making everyone’s food deserve a raise!! They were working their backs off in that hot kitchen to make sure everything was as amazing as it was! They have tons of options, DIY waffles Biscuits and gravy

And even cereal!

Pool was ice cold and the hot tub was dirty and not working at all Since we came for a few days with family and had time for enjoying the pools, imagine our disappointment that the pools didn’t work We had a room on the first floor which was great because the elevator was broken and you had to take the stairs

When you’re in your 70’s this becomes a problem The staff were friendly but helpless to solve the obvious issues with this hotel Thanks for the memories, won’t be staying here ever again We were not told at the time we booked that these problems existed Sad😢

Zachary Ziolko

I was TDY in Selah for M-SLC at YTC and this place was great They made every effort to make me comfortable, and I really appreciate their effort because being away from home for a month is rough enough alone The housekeeping came every single day and kept the entire hotel clean

The front desk was more than accommodating, and helped me out when I had to stay longer than originally booked The only con I have is that there were many baseball and softball tournaments for younger kids and the running up and down the halls at 11PM got old fast, but that’s just poor parenting, do better Again, great place to stay

Stuart Zion

After a bad night of driving the night clerk was AWSOM making sure a had what I neededAnd in the morning the staff was friendly and very helpfulThe breakfast was spot onIt was close to what I needed to get myself back on the roadWill definitely stay here again if I’m in the area

This hotel is by far the best in Yakima from my experience Beautiful building, pretty downtown location, and the room was awesome Sparkly clean

Water bottles in fridge Smelled clean (which is too much to ask from certain other hotels in the area I suppose) Breakfast was great, but not free $10 for parking I’d stay here every time if I could

Alec Dugan

Overall solid mid-priced hotel The room and facilities were clean and appeared well-maintained, the air conditioning held up even in record heat The hotel had amenities I wouldn’t normally expect like a full restaurant with room service

While I was there, they served breakfast and dinner everyday Food was decent though our server, Judy, was lovely! The only drawbacks is parking is tight and not included with your stay, though it is secure and underground The room was also starting to show its age: the backrest of the chair was stained and the mattress was well used But overall, a good experience

Stefanie Wheeler

Location good: near lots of dining options, check-in: fast, friendly (guy was kind and tied his best to put my son and I near our friend and her kids room), snack area: fully stocked (did not check prices), Lobby: updated and appears to be clean, pool: nice (son enjoyed it) Room: not updated compared to the Lobby Not up to Hilton standards and was vary disappointed and actually disgusted

After discovering some hair and a liquid stain on the sheets I called the front desk to have a new set of bed sheets sent up Unfortunately after removing each layer I found more hair and the worst of all was the urine stains on the mattress protector At this point called front desk again to bring up a mattress cover, but the lady who came up the first time ended up bringing another set of sheets I told her I needed the protector because of what I found and pointed it out to her She was very nice, empathetic and apologized for this and said it was unacceptable She said she would see what she can do and for that I truly appreciated her (it was late and had been a long day of a drive for a soccer game) The guy at the desk called after some time and apologized after his coworker told him about the bed condition and moved me & my son to another room Although this was the right thing to do to make it right it was an inconvenience of having to pack up our belongings after we already settled in Which it could’ve been avoided if the bed was properly changed instead of just being made in the first place Not only was the original room not up to Hilton standards, but also felt the room was over priced for 1 night and for what we got The 2nd room we were moved to appears to be clean, but pulled the comforter to discover another hair and at this point used the 2 clean sheets sets I was given to make my own bed on top of the existing comforter and sheets and slept on top of them I did email the front office manager late that night (since she wasn’t available when I checked out that morning) and attached photos for reference This was by far the worst experience I’ve had staying at a Hilton brand and hopefully they will take the time to really inspect the beds so that guest wouldn’t have to go through this

No free breakfast LOVE the kitchenette but there isn’t any pots, pans or utensils (can be purchased in their store that’s open 24 hours or a very short walk to Walmart) Staff was really nice and helpful

They do allow late checkout Fenced backyard with BBQ and nice shaded patio area Right on the greenway, hiking trails, a short walk to the Yakima River and Sarge Hubbard Park

Kaitlin Harris

As a former employee, I’d like to point out that when I first started I was getting complaints about cockroaches in the stairwells and some spotted in rooms I notified the manager and the owners to the problem and after 2 months of being there, nothing was done to take care of them They literally have a towel under the door of 308 to stop them from escaping

As if they can’t climb walls or go through outlets to other areas of the hotel I highly recommend waiting until this problem is taken care of before staying

So refreshing to have the staff take pride in their work! The cleanest place we have stayed in a long time The breakfast was fresh and had great flavor We will definitely be coming back here to stay

We actually extended our stay as we were comfortable and a great place to relax

Marcus Harris

Great room with great river view General Manager as she called her self aka Candace needs an attitude adjustment First of all I was checked in my room and card already swiped for incidentals

I came downstairs to the front desk to get a replacement key For some reason the manager was standing at the other end of the counter and told the agent the fee would have to be $150 AFTER I had already paid the fees whatever the unknown fee I paid was I said whatever and gave her my card again so she can bill specifically$150 Stayed an extra night and was billed$150 again This time though I got called like 4 times to my room that I would have to come and pay the fees or I would be escorted off the property Not paying the fees are not my intentions, I wanted to know why I had to pay$150 per day which was more than my room costs General Manager’s response was well due to aggressions (telling her not to call my room repeatedly I was taking a shower and getting dressed) sometimes they waive the fees So I guess this was her really sticking it to me by making me pay another $150 I told her I need the number to corporate and she said there is no corporate she is the General Manager and she was going to call the police and have me escorted off the property I called the police immediately after I hung up on her to let them know what was going on and how nasty this lady was acting At any rate the GM said she was going to kick me off the property when she arrives and I am waiting I’ve already made other arrangements Decent place some friendly staff beautiful flowing river behind the property but not worth the headache!

Ms. Denise Brown

The only reason I gave 4 stars on the rooms is because the short stature of the toilet I am 5’9″ and the toilet came to mind calf That’s short!! As I am getting older it’s harder to get down and up off of the toilet

The breakfast was well stocked with a wide variety of foods Some of the rooms have a balcony that overlooks the Yakima River The beds are high so if you are vertically challenged you might need a boost upWe had friendly service

Gwen Streeter

The staff are friendly and helpful The rooms are clean and comfortable Naches is a small town, and Covid wreaked havoc, so one needs to be forgiving of minor inconveniences

I advised the manager of the items that needed to be addressed, and she welcomed my commentsThe adjoining restaurant, Sticky Fingers, is outstanding! Best breakfast I’ve had in years Great bakery counter offering pastries and homemade cinnamon rolls The restaurant staff was very friendly and accommodating Will definitely return

John Genovese

Natchez is an OK hotel The big rooms are comfortable enough and they are clean enough The wifi is weak

I met the owners Pit Bull outside and he seamed friendly I went into the office and the dog pinned me in the corner Barking, growling and bouncing like he was going to attack It took a bit for the owner to get the dog The owners comment “We keep the office door locked We expect guests to ring the bell to get access to the office” It was not locked when I went inThere is a swinging gate between the living area and the office They need to make that a lockable one way gate to prevent this sort of thing in the future

Stacy Peterson

We arrived early, before check in They were so accommodating Everyone at the Hotel and at The Sticky Fingers Bakery and Cafe were friendly and helpful

Our room, Suite B, was larger than we expected Beds were comfortable, with plenty of pillows Small fridge, microwave, table and chairs, tableware and full size coffee pot all made this room comfortable and usefulThe bathroom, sorry I didn’t get pictures, was large and we’ll appointed With a tub/shower that has many accessable features, like a fold down bench and grab bars There was good water pressure and plenty of soap, shampoo and fresh linensIt has two enterences, one to back parking and office, one to the streetLike many small, owner/operator motels and hotels in older buildings, there are some minor inconveniences The tub drained a little slow and you have to hold the toilet handle down for a few extra seconds The TV works fine but is a little dated The furniture tooBut if you need a quiet, cozy place in this quaint little town, I highly recommend you stay And try the Cafe, the French dip was amazing

Be cautious about the word “luxury”We stayed in the Victoria room on July 9, 2022 and the musty smell bothered me a lot even when I have an IKEA portable air filter running next to me The smell woke me up in the middle of the night and I couldn’t go back to sleep So, we left early and did not stay for breakfast

The property was old and did not look like it was extensively remodeled (at least in the interior) in 2018 However, the Victoria room doe like the psicture posted on the websiteI should mention that there was a note left for us upon arrival that we were offered a free upgrade to Rose Sunset room with a gas fireplace in the inn but I smelled gas This room looked dated and not as good as the photos on the website So, we asked to stay in the Victoria room that we reserved While the swimming pool looked lovely, the water was greenish and I did not feel like that it would be okay to swim in it No bath rope in the room (as described on the website) but this was not a big deal for me

I really wanted to like this place and looked forward to the experience However items listed on their website were not available Prices per plate were $15-20 over what was listed on their website

My $7999 steak was dry and overcooked When I contacted them about these issues I was originally offered a full refund I declined this and asked for a partial refund (less than a third for the total price for two of us, basically bringing it into line with what I had expected to pay per their website) I was advised this would happen That was a couple of weeks ago, no response I do not plan to go back and advise others to do their homework

My fiance and I stayed in the Allison room The room was off to the side which we liked More private

On the website, they offered plush robes, which we did not get The room didn’t have an refrigerator, nor had an ice machine anywhere, so we have to bring up a ice chest The amenities they offered, shampoo/conditioner, coffee, etc should have been a higher quality for the amount we paid and for the elegant experience we were hoping for that they were protraying The coffee filters they provided didn’t fit the coffee maker they had in the roomOn a card in the room, it states each room comes with a makeup remover and a black towel to take off makeup Our room did not have thisThe WORST of it all, was the water! The water had a very very strong sulfer, rotten egg smell We opted out of showering We decided we could not fathom the water smell, so we went home in the morning to showerThe jetted tub was nice, however we couldn’t enjoy it because of the water smellOn top of that, the water softener they use, it made our skin feel dindgy and dirtyThe breakfast They put together all the tables, so we had to sit next to strangers We wanted our own table to enjoy each other or breakfast brought to our roomsThe breakfast was scramble eggs with marinara and ham (called frittata), with a small offering of fruit I didn’t enjoy it I don’t like ham We should have had an two offers to chose from What if I was vegan?Overall, 35/5

This hotel is located close to the highway and easy to find The facilities are clean and do not have any bad smells Our room was large and well appointed with a king size bed, sleeper sofa, desk, large screen TV, fridge, and hanging wardrobe

The breakfast room was very large, hoisting a bountiful spread of all the breakfast favorites including eggs, bacon, and biscuits and gravy The staff was helpful and friendly, providing services we needed even before we asked for them I will definitely stay at this hotel again when I am in the area

Rooms was extra large and clean We appreciated having the sitting area The bathroom was small

Breakfast was average Pool was nice When we got to the pool in the morning though, another guest had their dog with them in the hot tub We were very disappointed another guest would do this We brought it to the attention of the management and they took action immediately Very happy with the immediate response

Wonderful place to stay in Yakima It is close to the highway but far enough that noise is not a problem The room was spacious and clean without any chemical smell

Breakfast was delicious featuring eggs, sausage, bagels, yogurt, fruit, biscuits and gravy, juices, and more The pool was a comfortable temperature and the hot tub worked well too We will definitely stay here again
