I arrived and Mr John the evening front desk guy had me checked in so quick, great service The room was very clean and nice, and the facility was very clean with plenty of parking

Mr John said he would be cooking breakfast in the morning, and would make sure there were some grits (I still love them for breakfast) The breakfast area was clean and spacious with plenty of food optionsI will be back here again, as I am always away on business I recommend it as a great place to stay passing thru, or on vacationThank you Mr John for the great service, as you are definitely an asset to this hotel

We were there for 1 night, wish we could gotten a handicapped room because the toilet was so short, like a kids toilet The shower head was very high on the wallThe Air conditioner was very cold and the layout of the room was very nice

Breakfast was good and we were very pleased with our experience and would definitely return

Sarah C

There’s no way these positive reviews are real This was the most filthy, unkept hotel room we’ve ever stayed in Mold, hair everywhere, stains on the carpet, the sofa and comforters

Handprints all over the walls/door frames, only half of the lightbulbs were working and the pillows smelled of old hairspray We were only here for 7 hours, otherwise we would’ve found somewhere else nearby We didn’t take our shoes off in the room/bathroom at all…it’s that dirty The staff we came in contact with were very nice, but that’s about all this “hotel” has to offer

Super friendly staff Not a great roomThe bathroom design was terrible

The sink was right next to the toilet so you had to stand beside the toilet to use the sink The shower knob was on the opposite side of the shower which was really nonstandard and a little awkward to use The angle of the shower basin was not steep enough to have the water drain well, causing water to pool up on your feet My main concern was how much dust built up on the trim around the sink The sink top was clean, but it’s definitely been at least a couple months since the whole bathroom has been detail cleanedThe whole hotel other than the lobby smelled like wet dog Maybe this is a southern thing, I don’t know But my room was very musky The only way I could reduce it was by having the AC actively cooling If it was just the fan, it didn’t helpThe room doors throughout the hallways slam at all hours of the day/night (get better door closers) my room didn’t have a do not disturb sign to hang, which worked out ok, but would have been better to have for ease of mind as I worked through the nightsThe wifi worked great The lobby was nice They have a restaurant/Cafe there, but I wasn’t awake for that The beds were comfortable enough and clean The rooms are relatively spacious And the fixtures are tasteful The refrigerator and microwave worked well, but no freezer compartment included I liked that the hotel was located in what seemed like a centralized area We were able to get wherever we needed to quickly Unfortunately we were very busy so I wasn’t able to check out any of the other amenitiesSince there wasn’t a convenience store around, they are able to get away with charging almost $4 for a bottle of waterProps to the front desk staff though Really nice, personable, and professional

Clara Baker

They did not have any kind of continental breakfast?, to have that was included in their nightly stay We were a little bit disappointed in that they have a restaurant and breakfast was $13 pet petsom which I felt was a little bit expensive ?, especially when we do not eat a large breakfast a bagel with cream cheese and coffee would have been plenty for me?, and my husband would have probably had a waffle so I feel like at the cost per night that they should at least provide a small continental breakfast for their patrons

However the room was nice the beds were comfortable the ladies that supplied our towels and everything were very sweet The carpet and the room needed a good cleaning it was very very dirty so basically we were in the room and out going to different functions and places so we were comfortable in the room just had to go out and buy and get every meal because the restaurant was way too expensive

Ashley Whiteside

Had a long week on vacation because we got stuck in 2 really bad hotels (nice pics but actually in bad shape) This was the last day and we needed something nice to stay in to wrap up the trip So I read the reviews for several hotels in the area

This one had the most consistently nice reviews and it did not disappoint Clean, nice rooms, nice hotel, super friendly staff Definitely recommend

We were traveling late and were very tired, it was about 2:30am and we happened by this motel It looked nice so we stopped to see if we could get a room The door had a sign with late night instructions to check for a room so I called the number listed

We were able to quickly get a room The room was decent and clean, it had a microwave, mini fridge, small coffee maker with good coffee The bathroom had the toilet and bathtub/shower & the sink was separate with ample counter space Our only complaint is the comforters on the 2 beds looked like the needed to be laundered better & the fitted sheet on 1 bed needed to be laundered better, all for small stain removal All in all, I would use this motel again We also got a smoking room which was nice & when we walked into the room it didn’t smell like a smoking room

NICK Hervis

I stayed here to work for 6 months Great location, quiet and only 15 minutes from stores and restaurants Clean rooms and great service, they always made sure my room was taken care of

Ms Connie and her colleagues do a great job on maintaining a friendly, caring environment I will definitely come backTake care y’all

Ken Caracci

5 Stars based upon staff, room furnishings and cleanliness and locationMotel Max is absolutely not a luxury property; it is a newer motel where there are no other nearby motels, the staff is exceptionally friendly and efficient, the rooms are modern, well-furnished and very cleanI have a construction company and we travel frequently

We always look for motels near our jobsites that are safe, quiet, clean and reasonably priced They must also have multiple double rooms available and sufficient parking for our trucks and trailersWe stayed at Motel Max on 2 different construction trips in 2017 and this motel met or exceeded all our requirements!5 Stars, not for luxury, but for meeting all my commercial lodging needs at a very reasonable cost

Very nice hotel Rooms were clean and comfortable With the weather as hot as it has been, it was a real treat to find my room as cool as it was

Front desk was great, however, the cafe was a bust in the morning waited a good 5+ minutes in line for the one person staffing it to get to the counter She was nice, but overwhelmed Ended up at another establishment Understaffed, I guess

Ben Deason

I stay in hotels and travel a month at a time This hotel was clean and nice but they didn’t have free coffee I know this sounds petty, but if I chose to stay in a nicer hotel and pay their price

A cup of coffee would be nice in the morning The coffee machine in the room was dirty , they offered to sell you Starbucks 😑 no thank you Have a nice day

Kelli Wood

Definitely on the lower end of Marriott hotels The shower was probably the worst I’ve stayed here on 2 occasions and they really need to replace the shower heads because both showers needed some TLC

The stream hardly covers you and the water sprays all over The mini fridge is extra mini The pillows are clumpy HoweverPros: The staff is VERY FRIENDLY! The downstairs is a nice hangout spot and they have decent coffee onsite There’s a nice gas fireplace out back

I really enjoyed my stay at the hotel Bentley This is a historic hotel so if you want that modern feel this is not for you If you enjoy the splendor and elegance of times gone by then this hotel is for you

The ceilings and architecture had me walking with my head on a swivel They have some historical mementos on display and you can read up on the hotels history My bed was clean and super comfortable and that is usually the hardest thing for me to say TV, mini fridge and bathroom all were working Not the most updated but who really cares about that? It was a quiet and comfortable room The only reason I took one star away was disappointment with the front desk During my check in the maintenance/ cleaning man was complaining about having to clean more rooms I felt it was inappropriate to have this conversation in front of customers but also the front desk person was listening to him and making ME wait As the customer I was quite surprised at her lack of awareness regarding good customer service I will say that during the rest of my stay the cleaning person and front desk were kind and attentive

Destiny Hollis

When I originally booked this hotel, I wasn’t aware that it is a historical hotel (Which is awesome!) The hotel featured lovely displays of historical items but sadly we didn’t have time to explore The room was very clean and the beds were super comfy! The location was very convenient as we were in town to visit The Pentecostals of Alexandria

Will definitely stay here when we visit again! 🙂

The sweetest southern boutique hotel!! I am a hard woman to please but let me tell you, I am so pleased by this entire experience!!! We arrived around 10 pm and after entering the beautiful front entry the sweetest man at front desk checked me in, gave me my key and guided me to where I needed to be! I had to run down for medication in the car and he offered me extra pillows but when he came back he had toiletries, extra towels and offered to help me upstairs I am so so impressed in this crazy world the kindness! The bed are a bit firm but comfortable for a hotel, mini fridg/coffee area in the room is nice to have! The hotel is beautiful if you are looking for the older historic feel, it is not updated to be modern but is very classic and beautiful! It’s a fun place to stay, we have small kids and it is so inviting! Vending, tea and coffee downstairs, lounge area and so many incredible touches We will certainly be back to stay when we are this way! Such a great experience!

Save yourself and stay away Hotel is run down, and dirtyAs you pull up you will notice an abandoned wrecked car on jack stands in the parking lot Take note this appears to be your initial warning of how bad this property is managed

Once inside you will be initially greeted by a rude and lazy front desk staff that you may have to ask them to get off their phone and help you Once you survive the check in process you might notice the graffiti etched into elevator doors and if you don’t notice the graffiti the uncomfortable noises and motion of the elevator rigging will get your attentionAbove all else the room was dirty Almost every surface of the room was filthy by appearance and the rooms are in desperate need of remodeling The mattress was completely worn out and the chairs looked like a cat used them as a scratching post The hotel also does not feel safe I travel often and usually never review hotels but this one really took the cake I have been a Spire Elite IHG member for years I can promise you this IHG property will not live up to your expectations and is in desperate need of help

The Candlewood Suites provided a good night’s rest to us as weary travelers when everyone else inbthe area were filled up We arrived very late nearing 11 pm But The desk clerk was friendly and acted as if it was no trouble getting us checked into a room

The price was super awesome And for 2 King size bed that were double occupancy Also the room came appointed with a full kitchenette and a big screen TV Everything was really clean and the bed and pillows were comfy I would definitely stay here again if I pass through this area The only detractors I can name is they lack a bar and some of the furnishings are pretty dated But If you just need a place to rest for the night or even if you are in town on business for the week I would definitely rate this place higher then the Holiday Inn Express across the parking lot (They may be newer, but they are not friendlier)

Melissa Jackson

It has been 2 years since I stayed at this location and my has it gone down Entering the lobby was extremely hot The night clerk seemed exhausted wearing her causal attire and no uniform

The air conditioner didn’t get that cold The pillows were terrible and there was hair on the bottom of the comforter The clerk for morning shift seemed exhausted too She wore a sweat shirt for a uniform representing your chain

The room was really clean, it was nice and quiet during the night and the A/C was ice cold There was plenty enough towels and amenities for a 3 night stay The best part of the stay was the breakfast, Krista the lady making the breakfast was phenomenal, she never ran out of food with plenty of customers getting multiple plates

She was on top of her game and she was greeting every customer asking “How was their night or how was their trip in” She showed a ton of compassion for the customer and her work ethic was second to none She is definitely a great asset to Holiday Inn in Pineville,LA

Tyson Williams

Hotel staff was excellent – Lucy made everything go smoothly when we arrived Breakfast service was excellent, Krista made sure selection and quality and quality of food was great It was very much appreciated

Donna and Dreka in housekeeping ensured some of my specific requests for in-room supplies were taken care of! Everyone is very thoughtful and caring to insure that you are enjoying your stay

Johnny Green

I live at motels 9 months out of the year this Breakfast buffet was wonderful Krista went above and beyond to make sure we were well taken care of Beds are the most comfortable bed ive ever slept in

Rooms were well cleaned, all amenities were replaced and filled Really want to give it 45 stars just because I hate the chase lounger in the room But this was the best Holiday Inn Express I’ve stayed in the last 2 years

The entire hotel was clean, staff were courteous and helpful Rooms were comfortable and air conditioning worked great! The pool was the perfect temperature and we spent a leisurely afternoon relaxing in it Washed and dried a load of laundry for $4

00 Quick and easy! Breakfast consisted of individually wrapped items (due to Covid I’m sure) and oatmeal with lots of add ins, yogurts, muffins and bagels Would stay here again!

Cassandra Shelton

Biggest issue was that the toilet did not work and I am 34 weeks pregnant When we asked to switch rooms to poor lady at the front desk said she didn’t have any other queen suites available and did not have the authority to compensate us with two rooms She reached out to maintenance AND the General Manager and neither responded

She also did not have any back up supplies No towels, no extra pillows and nothing she could do except apologize profusely Marriott should be ashamed for employing a general manager who lacks the basic respect and empathy for her employees and the hardships they face I have never experienced such a sad awful visit at a hotel in my life The general manager has refused to call back and try to solve the issue Hoping this review warrants a responds from the General Managers supervisor To the lady at the front desk, I’m sorry your employer is so awful You deserve to be promoted or should find a job where your “superior” cares to do more than simply ignore you

Shonda S.

My son and I decided at the last minute to book a room for the night – I’m so glad I decided to stay here EVERYTHING was exceptional, from the receptionist, Emily Our room was clean and the Air Conditioning was WONDERFUL! Room comes with a smart TV, microwave, fridge, all the amenities one needs when traveling

The continental breakfast was also a plus I snapped a few pictures My son and I were very pleased!

It is clean The staff is friendly The beds and pillows were comfortable

The rate was below what I had expected to payThe hallway on 1st floor had a strong smell of marijuana The room did not have this smell, but you had to walk through it each time you come or goThe big diesel trucks park along side the street, good easy parking for themIf I were to stay again, I’d be sure to request a room not facing the pool Folks like to hang around the pool at night and have a good time Naturally, the noises from those activities could disturb a guest in the room with a pool facing window So just be mindful of thatAnd just FYI, I believe I heard them say pet floor is the 1st floor

Charity McCarty

The last time I stayed here was a year ago on our way home from vacation At the time I was pleasantly surprised at how nice and spacious the rooms were Apparently a year without the proper care has ruined this hotel! Our hotel room was absolutely disgusting

We couldn’t even take a shower because the bathtub was so nasty and had hair all in it along with rusted spots all over the bathtub floor The room itself had not been cleaned and the floors were nasty The sketchy night life it has going all hours of the night People banging on doors all through the night and the dog barking all night long It was a real disappointment to see how rundown this once very nice hotel had become We stopped here for one night just to be able to sleep and get clean and couldn’t even manage to get that done Never again will I stay here

Max Adventures

This is hard to believe that this location is still a la Quinta Really run down property and very poorly maintained After this experience I am done with la Quinta as a chain

It is worse than motel 6 Hair in the bed, no hot water, the bathtub looks as if it has been used as a toilet and the toilet has a stained ring in the bowl That’s just the room, the exterior needs painting, the paint is peeling from the walls The location isn’t far from the airport but far from town itself Do your self a favor and book the Hampton or holiday Inn if you have to stay in this area

DO NOT STAY HERE!!! DO NOT BOOK HERE!!!Booked online through the app a day before I arrived When I arrived, I was told my room was overbooked but then was told it wasn’t cleaned I was still charged for my original room but then charged again for a new room

I had 3 guests total in my room and the replacement room was a king and pullout couch The couch mattress was disgusting and there were no extra sheets or pillows so I slept on the floor There was another woman at the front desk who had the same issue Yes this review is true and I will never stay at a choice again DO NOT STAY HERE

Jennifer Bellard

I had a reservation tonight at Comfort Suites Alexandria on Old Boyce rd I get to the hotel and there is availability for reservations yet no rooms due to house keeping didn’t clean enough rooms When I asked for someone to clean a room so I could use my reservation I was told no

And I would have to find another hotel So I called choice guest relations Which also spoke to the lady at the desk asking that a room be cleaned so that I would have a roomfor the night At the time I was on the phone with them trying to get it straight The manager on duty called the hotel and over the phone said I would have to leave or the police would be called I have never been treated this way I forgot to mention that I am a diamond member! I had to drive another hour to find a hotel There was also a gentleman in the lobby at the desk while i was there who had reserved 2 rooms They told him he could only have one So they piled up in one room (which im sure is a fire safety regulation issue) He was at the desk trying get a pillow because he was sleeping on the floor Of course they had no pillow for him And they double charged his card Completely rude and uncalled for I will follow up with a formal complaint and emails

Dan Bernard

I’ve stayed here twice on my way to Miami The hotel has adequate commercial truck parking The reception told me there laundry machines wereWorking

When I went up to have a look there was a sign on the door saying the laundry was out of service The lobby felt empty and unwelcoming There were no snacks, drinks available for purchase I did not stay for breakfast The room was clean and well maintained The elevator was not working properly and I used the stairs to go down to the lobby People were using the pool O am a commercial driver and am on the road for days at a time I need hotels to be a place where I can access laundry, food and internet This hotel did not meet my needs
