From the moment we checked in, to the moment we checked out, the staff made us feel very welcomed The room was set to a comfortable temperature when we walked in and was very clean My family and I enjoyed the breakfast that was set up in the morning

The food was fresh and delicious The entire staff from the GM, Front Desk, Housekeeping and Kitchen were so professional and so friendly to us and the other guests We will absolutely be staying here again in the future This location does a fantastic job!

Mary Ellen Ramsden

Rooms were clean, plenty of space Felt dark even with all lights on and curtains open I found the mattress to be extremely firm, a bit too much so for my liking

Staff was very friendly and helpful Breakfast was nice, I love the little quiches they brought out! I wish coffee service was out for just a little longer, so I could grab a second cup

Sandra O’Connor

Friendly staff, small rooms, old fashioned hotel a little run down, they need more hands to keep it up with the amount of guests, it was hard to ask for room cleaning service they were busy busyGreat location, you have a supermarket right next to the hotel and crossing the avenue you have a variety of venus to choose fromNice experience, kudos to the staff, but hey! you need to renew this place, it looks and feels old

Note: There was a shuttle, but wasn’t working during our stay

Hotel is decent but they have the absolute worst bed’s of any hotel I’ve slept in the last 10 years Options are full size or king If you’re coming with a family forget about it

In addition the beds are extremely uncomfortable Would not recommend based on the beds alone I’ve stayed in multiple hotels in this area including embassy suites, comfort inn, Marriot, etc and while the appearance of this hotel is great the comfort inn offers a better night sleep

Maria Hussion

Well I wanted to stay here, as we travel through town with our kids I called to make a reservation , when I asked to have an adjoining room so we could have our kids in their own beds we were told they couldn’t guarantee that the rooms would be adjoined I explained the situation and how we needed to know our children would be in a connecting room I was pretty much told “sorry, not sorry

” I was not calling the day of check-in either, I was calling weeks before we wanted to check-in

Young Kim

We are here for just one night as a staycation for Memorial Day weekend using our free Marriott night Our 2 double room is quite spacious with a separate living space Very clean

The main reason we chose this place was for the indoor heated pool We definitely chose the WRONG weekend to come here I guess there’re many guests here for a soccer tournament; the pool was super small with minimum 8-13 middle school boys jumping, splashing, being really rowdy I complained to the front desk and they were very responsive and came down to remedy the situation twice This was not the hotels fault so it’s not going to affect my rating and to be fair it’s not those kids’ fault either but it was just tough for my 3 and 4 yr olds to enjoy relaxing pool time overall it’s going to be a good stay

The hotel was located close to an event I attended The hotel staff were attentive and professional always making eye contact and saying hello when approached I used the Hilton Honors app to check and obtain a digital key that worked perfectly

The room was clean and had a spacious bathroom The bedding was nice and plush and we had the right amount of pillows for the stay The lounge food was very tasty and moderately priced I would recommend for anyone looking for an inexpensive, clean hotel that is conveniently located a few miles from Dulles Airport

Wendy Thomas

Due to a missed flight, our family of 6 and at least 20 other stranded travelers descended on the front desk clerk at 1:00 am She was efficient and patient Our rooms were clean and welcoming with comfy beds

Breakfast was abundant and yummy and served by friendly staff The facility might be a tad dated, but cleanliness and kind, hard working people mean the most to us, which is why I give it 5 stars

Steven Jackson

The bed was comfortable, but that was the only positive of my stay The TV did not work; it would turn on but would not change channels The bathroom had a number of issues: water pressure in the sink was way too high, would splash everywhere even when only slightly turned on; water pressure in the shower was way too low, could barely rinse the soap off my body; the shower door did not close; and there was only one bar of soap between both the sink and the shower

Also, the workmanship of the last remodel was not good; there were loose tiles throughout the bathroom and the floor was unevenIf I had not been in meetings throughout the week, I would have switched hotels immediately There are much nicer hotels in the same price range in this area

Nice, quaint place tucked off in the cut although it is very accessible to the nearest highwayThe rooms are spacious, bigger than some studio & one bedroom apartmentsAs an extended stay hotel, you have the luxury of having cutlery and dining accessories in your room as well

There’s additional amenities that makes this place feel even better Such as a pool, outside grilling area, event hall/conference room, and even a basketball court! The location is good because you’re able to drive into Maryland within 30 minutes or make it to Washington DC within an hour’s drive Dulles international Airport is roughly 25-30 minutes as wellThe service is great Due to the pandemic protocol of yesteryear, you have the option to elect for daily housekeeping of your room

Andrew

Stayed here for a wedding and the hotel was clean and the staff were very friendly My wife and I stayed in a suite style room so it had a full kitchen If there was a way to the bed and sheets out of the room without them noticing, I would have done it

It was the most comfortable bed and the softest sheets we’ve ever had in a hotel While we didn’t use the pool, it was very clean and plenty of chairs available They also have a basketball court next to the pool Their complimentary breakfast is like most with an assortment of cereals, fruit, waffles, bread, bagels, scrambled eggs, sausage and hash browns/tatertots

Joseph Kamali

Warning for anyone who may be considering this property for a wedding block Dealing with the sales coordinator, Anita S, has been nothing short of a nightmare

Not exactly sure why they’ve entered the hospitality business at all From day one, Anita has been curt and generally unfriendly Despite that, we still went ahead and signed a contract for a wedding block It took a significant number of emails and calls to get the contract and then have the mistakes in the contract corrected However, it has been literally impossible to get a hold of Anita for any subsequent questions or concerns Try a phone call? No luck! Email? No response! Highly recommend you look elsewhere – don’t add this stress to your life when you’re planning a wedding Certainly the worst vendor that I’ve worked with thus far!

The rooms were perfect for what we needed as I vacationed in Virginia The walls are a bit thin, though; we were watching a movie on my tablet late at night and could hardly hear it at times but the neighbors didn’t like our late night entertainment (it was Dirty Harry, by the way) The staff was friendly and helpful

I will consider the place again

Friendly staff, clean rooms and comfortable beds The deadbolt and lock did not work on our door, beware of those issues The continental breakfast is practically non-existent and some of the vending machines were broken/ate our dollars

For what is it, I agree with other reviews that it is overpriced, but would stay again if needed

Voilstead Kearney

My review is based on my recent stay at the Red Roof Inn, Leesburg, VA on July 8 – 10, 2022 Upon my check in on the 8th, Scott the manager, made my experience at this hotel a first class experience Scott asked if I would like a lower leveled room on the first floor so that I wouldn’t have to tote my baggages to the 2nd floor and I accepted

I couldn’t had asked for a nicer room He made my weekend stay PERFECT!! Thanks a bunch Scott I’m so glad that you work at this hotel

The stay was nice The hotel is clean and we appreciated the ability to grab a coffee from the bar in the mornings The pillows are terrible, mega soft with no medium firmness option like most hotels offer

The bathroom/shower situation is weird Why is the light switch outside of the bathroom & not necessarily close to the strange french doors? Why is there no fan in the bathroom? Why is there no door/shower curtain to the stand-up shower? Water all over the floor & a soaked floor towel The a/c worked great but seems there’s no insulation between rooms because the a/c kicks on and it’s instantly frigid but the second it kicks back off all cool air seems to dissipate Our solution was to keep the temp lower so it would run more often just to combat the still warm air that would instantly envelop our roomUltimately, there wasn’t anything wrong with our stay but next time we’re in town we will likely try a different hotel at the same price point to try our luck for better overall comfort

Joy Mayfield

Stayed only 1 night, flew out the next day but I have to say I was very impressed by this hotel…especially management When there was an error on my bill, the General Manager M Miller emailed me and took care of it immediately and was VERY helpful

The hotel itself is very nice, the room was clean and comfortable and the decor was classy The staff were very pleasant and polite I highly recommend this establishment to anyone needing a great hotel for their stay in the Dulles area!

Pamela Moorman

The team at Comfort Suites went out of their way to make our stay comfortable We had our baby with us and arrived much earlier than check in time They got us into our room immediately, checked on us to make sure we had everything, and even gave us two extensions on our check out time when our baby was still napping

The hotel itself could use some updates, but it is comfortable and spacious We did not use the pool or exercise facilities

The beds are super comfy and the breakfast is delicious The indoor pool is a bonus and there’s a Sundry Shop for snacks The front desk staff was polite and professional

We forgot an electronic device when we checked out of our room I called to inquire about it and Housekeeping had already turned it into the front desk Also, the hotel was clean, sanitized, and the property was well maintained

Shelly Thomas

We ordered a double queen with a sofa Didn’t necessarily need a sofa bed; however, we had a double queen with a cot to fold out That would have been fine except the only place it could have been opened would have completely blocked the exit door and bathroom

2 adults and 3 children that couldn’t happen I had to take the mattress off the cart and wedge it between the one bed and the wall Luckily it was only 1 night Small room, but clean The staff were very nice!

Darcy

Absolutely LOVED our stay here The continental breakfast was everything! I will definitely return to this again They lost a star because all of the sheets and pillowcases had black stains on them (presumably mascara or some ink they couldn’t get out from past folks)

There was at least one stain on each pillow, sheet, and blanket so there was no avoiding it

Comfortable stayI visited with family to visit relatives in the area The children used the swimming pool It was a hit

Complementary breakfast was very satisfying and more than ample The beds were comfortable One thing to be aware of is this is a pet friendly hotel I did not bring a pet But I did hear a few barking yips in the middle of the night It only slightly woke me up I would stay here again It was a little expensive for the four of us but if it if needed I would stay again

Tammy DeRosier

We stayed at the Hampton Inn with our swim team for a tournament over President’s Day weekend The staff couldn’t have been nicer to our team, wishing them luck and asking how it went when we came back And, the management was wonderful to work with as we booked a block of rooms and banquet space

They had everything ready for us, cleaned the banquet room quickly while we were at the pool to have it ready when we came back, and made sure that breakfast was ready as we had some early mornings at the pool They also worked with us to make sure all of our girls were on one floor and the boys were on another and the rooms were together Rothitha and his team were excellent and can’t thank them enough for a great experience !

We had a fantastic stay this weekend We spent three nights in room 304 The room was very large, clean and I loved the layout

The bathroom was large too Hot breakfast every morning with eggs, French toast sticks, bacon/sausage, juice, fruit, yogurt, bagels, oatmeal, coffee & tea Not to mention there is a small bar area off of the receptionist counter is you want a drink or two Hotel is closed to dozens of restaurants, plazas, etc I have no complaints whatsoever, and if I find myself back in this area I will be staying here again

Charles Stewart

Stayed just a night on March 10 and was pleased overall but it wasn’t a home run The room was real nice, clean and spacious, typical Hyatt Place Breakfast was fine, staff was very friendly, room perfect, so all the basics are there

Things started bumpy however I called for the airport shuttle around 6pm and was told it will arrive “in about 15 minutes” It arrived 38 minutes later which is not fun when it’s low-40s outside The heating unit did not blow warm air and the room was a bit chilly A maintenance person came up and I was told a new unit had been installed earlier that day I told him there was no reaction with the new thermostat but it was inspected and he said it would be a few more minutes, should be working After several minutes it still blew cool air so I went to front desk to request another room, which was cheerfully provided I understand these are one-off events and would probably not be encountered so it’s not a dealbreaker for a repeat visit A couple minor things which are insignificant in the grand scheme but it’s the little detailsThe room had just one single thin silver-dollar size soap It’s okay to cheap out on soap but how about providing two so you don’t have to move this little thing back and forth to the shower? Further evidence of watching the pennies was with the toilet paper, the near see-through single-ply variety, the same kind you find in a campground pit toilet; even the rattiest Motel 6 offers better I stayed at the Hyatt Place Dulles South Chantilly in the same week and will choose that one over the Sterling location next visit Both provided the same level of comfort, value and satisfaction but at HP Chantilly you get real soaps and real toilet paper 🙂 There’s also better food options at Chantilly if you’re venturing out on foot

Marti Santos

We appreciate the layout and amenities offered in Hyatt Place properties The location of this property was good for us: close enough to restaurants and businesses we were visiting on this trip The bed was comfortable – and the floor was very quiet, even though the property is near the airport

Breakfast was available, but uninspiring – and since we had recently lived in the area, we preferred elsewhere

This Homewood Suites is nice and quiet The hotel is connected to the Embassy Suites, another Hilton hotel that’s a bit more fancy They share staff and some resources, which isn’t a bad thing

There are plenty of carts to move luggage in The staff offers to explain the amenities so that guests are well informed Our elevator broke down during our stay and they fixed it within 12 hours The rooms have a safe in the closet for valuables There is both an indoor and outdoor pool They have a workout room The rooms have full kitchens There is a shower but no bath tub, fyi The linens are great and the cleaning staff is excellent and timely They have the typical free breakfast, and they have a social hour time from 5-7pm during the week where they have free snacks like crackers, cheese, veggies, and 2 free alcoholic drinks for adults Overall highly recommend this hotel There are about 7 restaurants next door in a plaza that you can walk to One downside is it costs 7$ a night for parking

joe Lynch

Love staying here This was my 3rd time, but have been booking through a 3rd party so not getting any credit or points (I’ll have to change next time) I did have 1 slight problem with check in, but again going through a 3rd party didn’t help But overall enjoyed my stay and will go back

Although not a fan of the overnight parking fee

Joshua Daniels

If I could give zero stars I would It started off horrible as they double booked rooms and didn’t have our king size bed suite available, even though we booked it in advance So they had to give us a 2 bed suite, which isn’t ideal for an anniversary getaway and weren’t apologetic about it at all and didn’t discount the stay

We had a dinner reservation we had to make or we would have left and found another hotel In the room, the sink was clogged and draining slow, there was a stain on the toilet seat and floor tile in the bathroom, the closet door was broken and hard to open and a towel had a brown stain on it The reception desk doesn’t answer if called from the room, so that wasn’t helpful The buffet breakfast the next day was typical horrible hotel food, so that didn’t even help the situationAll around if you want to go there for an anniversary weekend get away, I would recommend going elsewhere

My low score for this particular visit is due in part to the very rude waiter at the hotel restaurant I had picked up an order from doordash which consisted of a single apple pie, an erroneous order, and was sharing with my flight crew co-workers the mess up They had just finished eating dinner at the hotel restaurant and were seated in the lobby dining area

After my colleague expressed she didn’t truly enjoy her pureed squash with tofu and salad, I decided to share the one apple pie that I received with her and my other co-worker The waiter approached me from behind pretty indignant that I couldn’t bring food from the outside into the restaurant It was pretty aggressive for no reason at all Then my room was cold for hours after turning the heat up and the engineer had to come fix it He entered my room while I was in the lobby and when I came in he was pretty forceful about me coming back into the room using the key in my hand because he needed to be sure the room was mine (he had the door propped open with the deadbolt) My work photo ID was on the desk and the key in my hand was still in the case which displayed the room number I’ve stayed at this hotel at least 45 to 50 times in the last 2 years and this was the most unpleasant visit They need to step up their customer service and remember their position when the pandemic hit and they were reliant upon foreigners and flight crews to occupy their hotel at 60% in order to keep their doors open It’s not hard to be nice I hope for a better experience in the future

The two things that are absolutely required for you to be a hotel are beds and showers My shower was broken Ridiculous!UPDATE: In reply to the response below from Joel Fuller, I did contact the front desk but when I had 30 minutes to get myself and my son showered and out the door there was nothing they could do

How did the staff clean my shower adequately? Wouldn’t they notice the problem if they were cleaning the shower correctly, not just running some water through it? We both know the answer, they didn’t clean I have also have photos of the trash that was left shoved in between the furniture from the previous occupants So again, we know how well they cleanedI hope that when people read this, and your patronizing reply, they realize that you don’t really care “Next time call the front desk” is a pretty weak response to completely dropping the ball on having a working shower

Have always loved this hotel, BUT I booked a room for June and cancelled more than a month before arrival date (it was a cancelable reservation) I received confirmation email for canceling from Marriott I spoke with Sunny Singh on Saturday and forwarded him email

He confirmed he received it and promised it would be fixed that day and someone would respond The charge has not been reversed and there has been no further communication

My family (4 young kids) and I stayed here for 3 nights The location was across from a Chick fil-A and was low traffic and felt very safe The rooms were clean and well kept

Our room had a pullout couch which was great for the kids I liked that the rooms were clean and very spaciousThe lobby and staff that took care of the front desk were kind and prompt with anything we asked for The lobby was also very clean and well tendedWe went to the pool during our stay and though it is fairly small, the kids still loved itThe best part though was the breakfast in the morning Each morning we were greeted with a smile by Rohina She made sure my family and I had everything we needed for breakfast Breakfast changed each day and each day we really enjoyed what they offered Quiche, egg sandwich, bagels, fruit, etcI would definitely stay here again if I visited DC We drove 30 minutes from DC to this hotel because we came during the Cherry Festival, but I’d do the drive again because I liked the area and the upkeep of this hotel so much!

Over the few years I or my extended family have stayed at this property and its always been a great stay It was a quiet location until One Loudoun was built out as it is now…and no surprise the property is even more busierFirst my thanks to GM Jacob Alibrandi who fit me in with a nice upgrade

He runs a really nice property (1 minor hiccup with Housekeeping explained later)Breakfast is the highlight of the property especially because of Rohina Salman who manages to greet all of her guests, keep the buffet fresh and full and allows everyone I saw to leave very happy Given news of various Marriott cutbacks, this property delivers a really good buffet and I heard the same from several guestsThe rooms are spacious and well laid out with a desk The smart TV is nice and a differentiator for MarriottSmall but efficient gym Looks like someone walked away with some weights (10 pounds) and you have to remind staff to ensure clean wipes are available especially in this pandemic environmentLots of parking outside and easy access to One Loudoun and just about anywhere with Route 7 and Route 28One suggestion on Housekeeping Its every other day but you have to notify the front desk I did and was missed even though I also personally spoke to the 2 ladies in the morningMohammed the night shift person was king to provide me clean towels and a refreshment The next day it was cleanedA really nice stay I provided gratuities to Housekeeping and Ms Salman just to show my appreciation I hope other guests do the same

Great location less than a 10 minute drive from Dulles Airport with nearby cinema and good places to eat The staff was welcoming and responsive Rooms are clean, spacious, and well-appointed

The exercise room was decent Their complimentary breakfast was delicious (hot, customized food as well as the continental breakfast type options)

Sasha Whitley

Stayed here for proximity to the airport and the shuttle service TOO BAD the shuttle doesn’t run on weekends The shuttle schedule isn’t even on the website

Happy hour is fine, but no food options besides chips The breakfast here is good Bathroom sink and tub didn’t drain Rooms are very dark and damp Probably wouldn’t stay at this location again

Amy Brewer

The hot tub has been down over one month And the happy hour is just tortilla chips and grapes; no variety, cheap spread Very disappointed and will amend this review barring the owner/ GM decides to pursue fixing the hot tub asap and to spend an extra $50 for a few more snacks

This is the reason why people choose embassy suites: happy hour and a decent resource for relaxation
