Went to Asheville for a concert and needed a place to stay overnight, Bon Paul and Sharky’s was within my budget and seemed like a good place I was not disappointed! I stayed in the tiny house and it was great The bed was comfortable and the room was clean
Only issue was that there’s no AC, but there was a fan Definitely would stay here again

I enjoyed my stay at this Hostel Great value I used it as a place to rest my head after a long day of hiking in Brevard before headed back to TN the next day
Resident workers were quite helpful I never really needed anything but all of them introduced themselves and asked if I needed anything Rooms were clean enough, bathrooms (especially upstairs) were great Showers are great They provide soap Seems locally made Common areas were good with board games, books, magazines I can’t speak for the kitchen Didn’t use it Seemed standard Sharky’s could use a few aesthetic upgrades, but nothing huge Owners – I would recommend new chairs around the fire pit and a new deck & picnic table whenever you get around to it No big deal though I plan on coming back with friends sometimes Thank you for your hospitalityOne more note – Mine was clean but they (like most places) wash comforters periodically If this is of concern to you as a prospective guest, maybe bring your own blanket
Maria Holbein
We really liked the self check in/out and it was easy to find after we went by it the initial passThe window A/C was on when we arrived at 4pm, thank you!, and we could park right in front of the cottage Three steps up and we were in
I owned a residential cleaning company so I automatically noticed how quick a turn around their cleaner must have I cleaned the entire kitchen surface areas so they could just do their DisinfectionIt was great to assemble our breakfast and eat in our pajamas like at home, one of the reasons we wanted a place like this Heard the birds in the morning too!I would stay again, just bring my own cleaning bag since I have different standards

We booked a penthouse suite to have plenty of room to move around and invite people to our room, and the views did not disappoint! Check in was super easy Jessica and Mark went out of their way to make sure our stay was up to satisfaction The hotel has a small bar with really good roasted coffee, a good selection of liquor options, and several TVs so we could catch some sports
Our bartender Erica was phenomenal- so friendly and fun and great at what she does!!! Valet is easy except peak time around check out seems to be a bit of a wait, which is to be expectedThe only downsides were the “freshness” of the hotel rooms- our linens and such were clean, but the furniture could use some updating as well as a paint job and some more detail to cleaning the nooks and crannies of the room itself There is no microwave in the room, but I can see that as a liability We did hear that they are scheduled for a renovation which will be exciting to see, because otherwise we loved our stay! Location is great and just a short walk from everything downtown Traffic noise off the highway is pretty persistent but it didn’t bother us much We will definitely check this place out again next time we are in town if not just to pop in and say hi to our resident bartender!
S. L.
The view was amazing from our top floor room and the service was great We had some issues with the cleanliness, I feel like they only clean what’s necessary The walls had markings, the light switch was dirty (I cleaned it), the sheets had hair on it (could’ve been housekeeping)
The worst, the actual pillows were stained (I check under the pillowcases) I’m very picky about cleanliness so I wouldn’t stay here again Molly, the receptionist, was very accommodating and sweet, she did everything to correct the situation The valet guys were nice too If you’re not picky, the hotel is cool
Katrinka Tezyk
We enjoyed our stay very much Very clean Linens were fresh
Shower in bathroom was amazing Large and tiled Newly remodeled Great views of downtown The staff were amazing The breakfast was AMAZING!!! The fruit was fresh Eggs cooked perfectly Oatmeal was good also The only negative is no on-site parking However valet parking for an additional $30 per night is available We would definitely stay here again

Sinéad McClinton
The lobby, golf course, trails are beautiful The restaurant buffet is great and worth the money for sure Beautiful fire indoor and outdoor pit
And a good size balcony But the rooms are a little small and almost like an after though compared to the more upscale curbside appeal and lobby/restaurant lookThe bathroom is small, would be better with a walk in shower and remove the small dated tub And a simple fix to open the bathroom door out vs In would make a huge difference Not a lot of thought out into the room, but i guess you only sleep there so it can be tolerable
Buster Young
We recently stayed here and overall had a great time We had a bit of an issue at check in with our room We were given a room on the bottom floor of a separate building that appeared to be a spare room that perhaps was used for storage
Let’s just say it was not the caliber of room you would expect I brought it to the management’s attention and they made it right and got us in a room that was very much suitable and what we expected The hotel was sold out of rooms but we had made a reservation My purpose of bringing this up is that the property made it right and we ended up with a good room and overall enjoyed our stay The breakfast was extremely good Very nice staff We would definitely stay with them again
Brook Anderson
Stayed in May 2022 My room was clean and had a small balcony On-site bar and restaurant nice but expensive
Good location if you don’t want to stay downtown Decent conference room facilities The hotel was quiet and I slept well each night They have a shuttle to take you downtown and back for $8 per person Small maintenance issues such as the phone in my room didn’t work well and my bathroom light kept flickering but overall an enjoyable stay

My family and I had an excellent stay at this location! The rooms were very clean and up to date The best part of this experience was the staff From check-in to checkout, everybody was super friendly and helpful
The best part was when I misunderstood the complimentary dine-in breakfast availability (my fault, not theirs’s), the manager on duty went ahead and gave us free breakfast vouchers anyway! You don’t find service like that very often these days Highly recommended!
Special Ed
Had a great overnight in Asheville at HI Blue Ridge Parkway We arrived around noon and got a great recommendation for lunch from the front desk While we were having lunch at the East Village Grill, the front desk called to let us know our room was ready, so we checked in early
The room was like old time HI with upgrades and it was spotless clean We spent the afternoon on the Blue Ridge Parkway beginning with the Southern Highland Craft Guild, Folk Art Center, where they have lots of beautiful wood art, quilts and other pieces from guild member artists Had dinner at the Wildfire Grill in the hotel It was awesome Very unusual to have such a nice dining experience in a hotel these days
Samer Jomaa
Cozy setting with stone accents, trees, and an always-on fireplace The premises are well maintained A few misses though: no regular cleaning, you have to request and even then it’s cursory
The pool closes at 10 pm and does not open until 10 am That is the only outdoor place you can sit and gather So our large group of multiple families had a difficult time gathering at the end of our busy days anywhere in the hotel But staff was friendly, the area is nice and clean and seemed safe It was only 10 minutes from downtown Asheville which was convenient

Nice, clean hotel room Nice fire pit area, pool and hot tub with towels The only strange thing was the multi use shampoo and lotion
(I’m weird though) I tried the lotion It was so strongly scentedGood priceBreakfast was the usual- scrambled eggs, sausage, yogurt, cereal, oatmeal

This Hampton was the best one I have ever stayed at It was super clean, the rooms were very spacious, the breakfast was amazing and had lots of options to choose from including mini waffles Everything was brand new, you could smell in the halls the brand new rubber from the walls and rooms
Cannot express how impressed we were with both the service and the hotel itself

The room was clean and quiet The beds and pillows were comfortable There was a bit of an odor in the room and it was humid because it had been really rainy and they were very responsive getting us a dehumidifier which helped a lot
Only 4 stars because the smell still lingered Breakfast was consistent We were there 5 nights and I felt very comfortable
Kenneth Keifer
We’ve stayed at many BW’s and this one was fine The room seemed pretty clean, bedding was nice and beds comfortable The air conditioner did give off a musty smell, which was noticeable
We’ve stayed in better ones, but this was fine It was well priced, and since we weren’t going to be in the room much, we were happy with the price The free breakfast was standard and plentiful All in all, for the price, I can recommend it
Dam M
The property is beyond well maintained, staff are super excellent, great breakfast (especially having two picky children), rooms are comfy and super clean and the location is absolutely perfect!! Close to major stores and more, and right off the highway I’ve stayed in several hotels all on the East of the states (I travel a lot from Cleveland, NY, to Miami) and this hotel BY FAR has been the BEST!! I will definitely stay here again and for the price
absolutely worth it!!!

Overall it was a good stay Nice perks like digital keys, complimentary lattes/hot chocolate, etc, nice pool & hot tub For the price, the rooms could really be more modern & upscale – I was a little surprised by that not to mention a couple things like the drain not being properly sealed in our shower (big hole!), some mold in the shower, the fridge being a little dirty, no handsoap of any kind, etc
these are not things I would expect with a $180 price tag I will say all staff we encountered were extremely delightful and the spot this hotel is located is fabulous if you want to just park your car and walk to restaurants/shops I am not sure I would stay at this particular Hilton again based on the above issues but overall I think it’s fine
Seth Ritchie (appalachian_foodie)
Excellent stay – one of my favs in Asheville Biltmore Park is enough out of the way, yet offers plenty of shopping and dining on-siteThe beds are probably the last to be updated and are pretty firm, but the rooms are spacious, well laid out, and clean
The on-site restaurant is amazing, with a full service bar and several optionsIf you’re looking to avoid downtown traffic, consider this stay Hilton standards at their best!
William Bartles
Stayed here for one night and ate at the restaurant downstairs called Fork LoreI have already reviewed the restaurant separately but it was goodThe room was comfortable and for the most part clean
Bathroom was spotless, bed was clean and well maintained The one issue that we had was that there was a piece of half eaten candy laying on the night stand and we had to call for someone to clean it up as we were not going to touch it, thus, the three stars The room service was prompt to handle the situation and were very friendlyThe parking was a little strange as the garage is separate from the hotel and is connected via a series of walkways and elevatorsThe front desk was very helpful and friendlyIf you find this review helpful, please click on the thumbs up button at the bottom!

What a fantastic hotel! It’s nice and clean, the staff are polite, and there are open amenities and a big breakfast Our room was extremely comfortable and the bathroom was practical and we had no issues with the shower or toilets like some other hotels The pool has heating and is indoors, which was very enjoyable out of the sun in the summer
I would absolutely stay here again
Ella
This hotel was not only a great value, but was extremely clean and perfect for a quiet weekend away The lobby is well laid out with the breakfast area right beside check in, a pool right down the hall and the outdoor patio just opposite Our room (We stayed in the king w/ tub) was very nicely furnished and we enjoyed having the fridge for dinner leftovers
Only qualm is that the floor was a little uneven and sloped beside the bed and that the door leading to the hallway when opened, hit the bathroom door Overall, super super pleased and will be returning
A Low
I am a Nurse at Mission in the OR Clean is of upmost importance to me This hotel is super clean! Check in process was fast and the staff were excellent
Some of the reviews for this beautiful lodge were ridiculous Unless there has been an amazing remodeling and super fastnot sure what those people were talking about!! It is just as the pictures show I have stayed at many of the area hotels and this is my favorite thus far! I had not stayed here due to an unpleasant ‘Choice hotel’ that I stayed at in Charleston This lodge has redeemed the brand for me Extremely nice

I stayed one night here It is an older renovated hotel- the bed was comfortable and breakfast was good BUT- when I checked in they informed me that the tv was not working
Then when I was sitting at the desk in my room there were bugs crawling on the wall All in wanted to do was relax and go to bed early I killed the bugs and brought one to the front desk to show them Then it was a cold night so I turned the heat in and the room unit smelled like burning so I turned it offThe women working that night at the front desk were really nice and said they’d leave a message for management In the morning, when I asked about what they would do about the buggy room issue that I had, the front desk manager made a comment that it was just “ one bug” implying that I was wrong to bring up “one bug” as a problem She made me feel bad and any hotel that does not show hospitality shouldn’t even get 2 stars but… the bed was comfy

My 11 year old daughter and I traveled to Asheville for a day trip for her birthday We chose this hotel and it far exceeded our expectations From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by friendly staff and a beautiful facility
The rooms were basic but very clean and nice The bed was extremely comfortable and we were very happy with our accomodations We had several interactions with the folks at the front desk and they are the reason I would return to this hotel The shuttle was so convenient and drove us downtown and picked us up with 10 minutes of calling for a return pickup We will definitely be staying here in the future
Kordell St Amand
This hotel was so nice From the moment we arrived the front desk staff Tiffany and Liz were so helpful They gave suggestions on where to eat and boy were they right
The breakfast was a lot more than I expected The shuttle made visiting downtown super easy and we didn’t have to pay for parking Definitely book at this hotel 5 stars all the way

The staff was so incredibly friendly and helpful I accidentally left a car door open, and even though the parking lot has signs that say park at your own risk, the security guard, while making his rounds of the property, saw it and contacted the desk, who tracked me down (I was in the pool with my kids) and told me about it, and then, because I was in the pool and couldn’t run out, he went back out and closed and locked it for me! The place is really beautifully decorated, it’s such a lovely ambiance, the front desk staff is so cheery and sweet every time you go by Such an amazing deal for the price!!

Not a bad hotel for a night The rooms were generally clean, spacious and smelled good Everything worked correctly but the water must be very hard because it was difficult to rinse the soap off
The pool is indoors and very small, if no one is in the pool it would be hard to swim laps, with one person in the pool it is impossible The free breakfast is pretty light but the did have sausage patties and precooked omelettes as well as make your own waffles Nothing is in walking distance to the hotel but a Waffle House The staff was friendly enough but not very helpful The luggage carts were few, very small, and scattered
Angie Walker
Pleasantly surprised with this hotel The employees were all very friendly and helpful The hotel is clean and spacious and has many extra amenities
We would certainly stay here again However, our issue was with the parking and door access The entries into the hotel are awkward in relation to room access For example, we were on the fifth floor From either point of entry door, you must walk a full length hallway to get to the elevator
Taylor B
Im usually the one staying at higher end hotels This was a girl’s trip and we went a little more frugal Pleasantly surprised by the beautiful building, service and cleanliness
The front desk staff were very helpful The rooms were super clean!Pool was well maintained and breakfast was deliciousThank you for a nice stay 😊

The area around the front desk
as a matter of fact, then entirety of that floor is very nice! Having TGI Fridays connected was a bonus as well, as we didn’t have to leave for dinner if we didn’t want to! The Vanderbilt Tower felt exclusive and the King Suite with the balcony was very spacious Temperature was controlled in the room by simply pressing up or down on the thermostat, which would either turn on the heat or the air conditioning The bathroom was very clean and the shower was lovely The water at the bathroom sink got really hot I’d almost say dangerously hot The lamps provided extra outlets, so all devices that need power have many outlets from which they could receive power Speaking of lamps, there is plenty of light in this room from the four lamps, and the natural light from the sun when opening the curtains to the balcony doorAs far as the area goes, as high as the volume of traffic is, it was still mostly quiet I was able to sit on the balcony and enjoy a meal in mostly peace and quiet Speaking of eating, there is a plethora of food options within a ten-mile radius Pick one and go eat Downtown Asheville is nice, though the streets seem a little tight at times, but this hotel is minutes away from downtown I didn’t really get a chance to visit the Biltmore Estate, but it is also very close to this hotel Don’t be like me, be better than me and take the opportunity to go if you want

Overall decent stay Hotel staff was very nice and friendly A few things to call out1
) Double Beds are “Full” size not queen They did offer to upgrade us for $10 but I didn’t see the size mentioned on hotelscom If I missed it, that’s on me but most hotels I stay at, these are at least queen No idea why this particular hotel hasn’t changed2) WiFi never worked in our room, it said our name and room number didn’t match Only a one night trip so I never reported this, but it is very inconvenient for guests to have to contact the front desk after check in to have something correctedThe property is beautiful, the rooms are a little dated but not horrible
Emily Hoerner
The DoubleTree in Biltmore Village served as “home base” for mine and my husband’s Oct 2021 destination wedding in Asheville Julianna and the entire catering/conference services crew were fantastic We opted to host our welcome drinks in the hotel’s lovely courtyard, and the food and atmosphere were both fantastic
Julianna and everyone at the DoubleTree made planning our wedding from afar so easy, pleasant, and stress-free, and we would wholeheartedly recommend them for anything from a quick weeknight stay to an entire wedding weekend–they were wonderful!

This place was lovely, clean and the staff were fabulous! Check in was easy and our room was ready before 4pm We stayed in a 2 bed 2 bath unit July 10 – 15, 2022 We received clean towels and trash pick up daily The condo was large and looked like the pictures
The kitchen was good! & had most of the things we needed It could be repainted and a little upgradedbut it was cozy and warm and the beds were fabulous! The location was perfect, easy to get to every thing, downtown, the biltmore and other areas we wanted to visit! I’d definitely recommend staying here if you have more that 2 people – it was perfect !!

We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite for a February weekend getaway The suite was very nice, the front desk staff were friendly, and the location was amazing! The price was also great for the size of the suite and its location Housekeeping is an area that could be improved some
Our beds and bathrooms seemed very clean, and our garbage and towels were changed daily However, the dishwasher was full of dirty dishes from previous guests when we arrived, and dried up food was on both the coffee table and dining table Both easy fixes for us, but it would have been nice to not have
Rychelle Foltz
This was the coolest find for our stay in Asheville It was an excellent price for the amount of room you get We had a one bedroom condo
It had a full kitchen, soaking tub, huge shower, fireplace and the beds were comfy Parking was a little tricky but it was quiet Everything was centrally located You are close to the Biltmore, close to downtown, close to the blue ridge parkway and just about anything else you need Staff was super helpful with check in and extending our stay by another night I’m glad we found this place! We will be back and we know where to stay!

Third time visiting this hotel and I was very happy again The rooms and hotel are spotless Rooms are also very comfortable and have recently been renovated

The hotel is in nice location! The room was very spacious! There were plenty of towels which I like! The bathroom, though old, was very clean Free breakfast was also included They didn’t have much selection but I thought you can at least get something to eat before heading out
However, the hotel smelled musty and old I definitely noticed it as soon as we walked in The room smelled the same We booked a room with 2 queen beds since I was with a friend but they gave us room with a king bed instead We were told that they didn’t have the room/bed we booked anymore! Needless to say I didn’t get a good night rest
Addell Anderson
I booked the hotel for our staff retreat and was highly impressed with the facility and services for such a reasonable price Our staff arrived from various states, so it was important the sleeping rooms were comfortable and the meeting facility adequate to conduct our business Truly, the Holiday Inn surpassed our expectations
They even allowed food to be brought in from outside the hotel Special thanks to the staff for taking care of all of our needs before, during, and after our stay In addition, the facility is only a short drive to downtown (some of my colleagues walked), as well as shopping I would not hesitate to book this hotel, again

The rooms are typical hotel rooms and are clean and simple Breakfast was fine albeit at 6:30 the coffee was somehow cold My flight arrived late the previous night and although must hotels were running shuttles late, this hotel was not
I called the hotel for advice numerous times and never got an answer I had to take a $30 cab ride to the hotel In the morning I waited for the airport shuttle only to find out you have to order a day ahead of time A ride was finally dispatch, but only after a very long wait and as I had just decided to walk the 08 miles to the terminal So in short, they really don’t have an airport shuttle despite the website saying they do and despite being named ‘Fairfield Inn – Airport”

Very nice motel As a suites motel, it had a sofa in the room for separate seating My room was clean (most importantly!)
The bed was a little soft, but water pressure in the shower was excellent, hard floors instead of carpet – my preference – was great and the view of the mountains was lovely Staff was very cheerful and helpful And while I did not partake, there was a free breakfast from 6:30 to 9:30 am All in all, a pleasant stay for a reasonable price

So first off the rooms/ facility were very clean which is my number one criteria, and secondly was a friendly staff which there definitely was, and the only reason for 3 stars Unfortunately that’s where my satisfaction stopped with my stay We stayed in room 202 and the bathroom was tiny, I could nearly touch the mirror and the tub wall
There appeared to be only emergency side exits to the building so if you got there late like we did, you had to park in the back of the lot and walk around to the seemingly only entrance in the front There was only 1 small, rather slow elevator for 5 floors, so the stairs was really the only way to go, especially on a Saturday morning when we were checking out at 830am Breakfast was on par with what you’d expect at a hotel Problem was, the room it was served in was tiny and might have seating for 20 people Which yes sounds like a lot, but every seat was taken in the breakfast room and there was barely any room to get around to get your food with everyone else there still trying to do the same There were people eating in the check in entry area and even a few had to go sit outside to eat their breakfast My teenage son put it best when he said, “it seems like this was a smaller hotel that remodeled and added floors without paying attention to, and expanding, the things that mattered most” If none of these things bother you, then this is the hotel for you For me, at $250 +tax and fees on a Friday night, I’ll keep driving next time
Penny Gamblin
Very clean, great breakfast area had continental breakfast but with great selection of hot and cold The worker, Heather, kept it stocked, very clean and is a very nice young ladyAll people there very nice

We have stayed here for many years as it’s easy on and off of 140 Always clean main areas and rooms The indoor pool and hot tub area is open year round with outdoor pool access in summer months
Breakfast was good and had so many options It was buffet styled while honoring sanitary protocol with plenty of drink choices The gym was neat and had basic machines, weights and mats I did workout there and it didn’t lack for anything I needed The bar is a nice area with limited food My only negative about this stay is the bar hours/service We travel after work and felt the bar closed too early On several recent stays the lady bartender (new) was more interested in talking to the male patrons who must stay frequently as she was very familiar with them and wasn’t as knowledgeable on drinks as the male bartender we have sat with before She never served our drinks with a napkin and was quite messy The male bartender stayed as long as there were people coming in and even asked if our drinks were to our liking He was constantly wiping down the bar area and checking on his crowd We will stay again because we like the amenities Just may try an outside bar for drink and night food optionsPlease give a thumbs up if this review was helpful in any way Thanks and safe travels

This was a wonderful place to be for a long stay We had issues with the restaurant (not run by hotel) BUT we had problems with the pool/hot tub and housekeeping
They kept closing the pool area at the best times of day, many days during our 15 day stay, and the pool was freezing cold Upon checkout, we found out they have a pool heater, but it has been broken for a while ☹️ And housekeeping was great, always cleaning and busy We took care of ourselves mostly, but had to vacuum our own room — because we didn’t schedule for our room to be cleaned!!! No one told us we had to do that, until check out day!! If they are going to have this policy, EVERY guest should be told But housekeeping staff was great – policy needs to be abolished or disseminated to all guests 🤓
Holly
Poor communication when we called to make reservations but a nice place but great service in person once we arrived Breakfast is “free for kids” but only kids under 11 and only of an adult buys a $16(?) breakfast That would have been fine if it had been communicated clearly instead we were just informed free breakfast for kids
There was an indoor and outdoor pool but they were so incredibly cold Kids used them anyway so it worked out okay
