Breakfast is served 6 am – 9 am daily There is a coffee pot, mini fridge, and microwave in the room The front desk staff is super friendly and greets you every day

The room service for cleaning is superior compared to many places I’ve stayed If you need your room cleaned more frequently, the front desk works with you on scheduling it based on your needs Highly recommended

Justin Chase

The staff here are the reason I keep coming back We’re in town once a week for business all summer, and the front desk team is always happy to help with the accommodations, even when I realize 48 hours before I arrive that I forgot to book the next visit!Breakfast is usually pretty good, and the WiFi has been reliable, but the bottom line is that it’s the people that keep bringing me back

Stayed at this Quality Inn while traveling for work

With my work, I basically live in hotels, and this hotel by far exceeds my experiences at other hotels The hotel location is great, right off of the river front area, close to some stores Everything is tidy, and clean (it smells nice even if the air is off!), I have NEVER seen a friendlier hotel staff (I sat in the lobby working for a while one morning & saw the staff in full action) The breakfast was great The rooms are updated and very comfortable Overall, excellent experience and stay! I will absolutely stay here every time I am in this area!

Ryanna Pratt

Warm welcome, very clean, quiet! Cleanest hotel pool ever! Close to amenities Well stocked snack bar in the lobby Breakfast was great and the breakfast attendants were fast with fresh food and cleaning

Shower was powerful and hot with a new water filter Big TVs in the room with a covered remote Sheets were clean Sandy at the front desk makes you feel like you are staying at a private fancy B&B She remembered our names and that we were there for a birthday trip A/C in the room blew cold even during a 90* hot spell

George Peacock

A great place to stay along the way Check-in was great Thomas was at the desk and very personable

When others from my party arrived, he took the time to acknowledge them and said he would be right with them When he realized they were with me, he asked if I would like another key About 10 minutes after we were settled, he called the room to make sure everything was satisfactory

We were traveling through Maine to enjoy the fall leaves and some late season golf This bed and breakfast was a perfect spot for a home base King was a great host and gave us good advice on local restaurants as well as making sure we knew the history of Hallowell

A very memorable stay!Ann

We loved our stay at Second Street Bed and Breakfast! King was such a great host to us during our stay We were visiting town just for a weekend, and he was so welcoming and accommodating through the entirety The house itself was so wonderfully decorated, with tons of fun and beautiful art, lots of great books, and gorgeous furniture

Bed was super comfy Very close to town as well We had lots of good food during this trip, but King’s breakfast was a highlight for me Will definitely be contacting them the next time we want to drop by Hallowell – great experience

cheryl harmon

We stayed here for a wedding in nearby Pittston; this Inn was recommended by the wedding venue We couldn’t have been more pleased; our rooms were very comfortable, the host (King) was extremely gracious and the Victorian furnishings were very interesting and attractive We enjoyed sitting on the comfortable side porch, taking in the flowers and landscaping and walking the short distance to Main Street shops and restaurants

There were five in our party, and King customized our delicious breakfast selections with the professionalism of a fine restaurant We would definitely stay here again when traveling in this area

Shirley is an excellent hostess Her and her husband Dave were very friendly, and accommodating to our needs We stayed in the efficiency apartment above the garage, called “the loft”

Just a great space for a couple people We were there just two nights so we didn’t use the washer and dryer in the apartment, but the full kitchen was very convenient My wife appreciated the ice dispenser in the full size refrigerator Sitting area aside of the kitchen had a Large TV A second TV in the bedroom is a nice touch The full bathroom is not huge and doesn’t have a tub, but makes good use of the space with the shower stall and a closet with the washer and dryer in there The small deck off of the back is more than just a fire escape Large enough for a small table and a couple of chairs to sit and enjoy the outdoors and wildlife in the morning or evening The breakfast part of this B&B is over the top Shirley made us feel like like we were at a restaurant by serving and attending to us, first by asking what would like and then custom making each our own meal Starting with a fruit bowl and then a generous portion of just delicious and visually appealing breakfast plates Then to top it all off we were made to feel like we were good friends invited over to share a breakfast together with easy conversation Just amazing people to get to know and wonderful hosts Definitely recommend, but please don’t book it for the time we want to be there 😉

The Pros: Staff was very friendly and helpful! This includes both front desk workers I dealt with and woman managing breakfast–they went out of their way to be kind Breakfast was good–decent selection plus a waffle making station Room & bed were comfortable

Location was central and easy to access UMA and nice Walking Trails were walking distance behind hotel/beside Civic CenterThe Cons: The amenities were the major problem and reason for only 3 stars Pool was closed Fitness room was not as pictured–missing equipment (no free weights) and dark/musty

Steven Sanders

Friendly staff They were helpful competent and quickThis hotel is dirty

My room smelled like the last guest’s reheated dinner The grout in the tile in the bathroom has not been cleaned since install 20+ years ago The toilet seat and cover have stains from 100’s of guests past I found a bath towel with multiple hairs embedded in the threads The comforter blankets have stains on the inside from god knows what The sheets & pillow cases seem to be the only thing cleaned and changed Corners are dusty/dirty The door knob assemblies have oily stains and dust Just bad up keepI understand the cost of updating a hotel but a weekly(should be daily) deep cleaning of the building will make this place feel less neglectedTV was new, internet was quick, breakfast area was nice and stocked Regretfully, it was overshadowed by the level of cleanliness and neglect for the building The staff get a star and the potential of this building/value gets a star Wont be staying here again unless changes are made Apologies if this reads harsh

B. C.

Idk what image this hotel is using in it’s thumbnail but it’s purposefully misleading This hotel is kind of a dump There was hair on my towels and the bathroom wasn’t clean

It also looks pretty shabby The literal only reason why I’m giving 3 stars is because It was a safe place and Sasha at the front desk was very sweet THOSE STARS ARE FOR HER ONLY

I wish I could give more stars!! We stayed at the inn for a week, using it as a base while we explored more of Maine and it was the absolute perfect location for us Central enough to make everything super easy to access, and a lovely and peaceful retreat to return to each day- we couldn’t have asked for more The cooked breakfast every morning got us off to a great start each day and was absolutely delicious

Scott and Vince were both so kind, helpful, polite and welcoming The level of care and attention makes you feel like so much more than just a hotel guest This is easily one of the best places we’ve ever stayed whilst travelling and I would not hesitate to recommend the inn to anyone- I already desperately want to come back! Thank you so much for a wonderful stay and for making our trip so special

Nathaniel Parker

Bottom line – this place is great Tons of hospitality, super clean, clean sheets, make yourself at home, quiet I love this place

I felt like I was at my own house All of the above is very much appreciated, because I travelled up here for work working up and was very tired after my day was done I was worried about staying in a place with dirty sheets, with no hospitality, and minimal service – none of the bad stuff holds true here I was greeted and helped by Scott the owner, and he is great Everything you want when you are tired He was helpful and not pushy/didn’t oversell anything, I am sleeping in a clean room with clean sheets, clean floor, clean bathroom I also get breakfast in the morning Thank you so much I am very grateful I am coming here again when I am in the area next

Homewood Suites was a wonderful experience! The room had a full kitchen with a dishwasher along with drinking glasses, silverware and a dishwasher It is clearly the cleanest and most well-run hotel in Maine’s capitol city, Augusta I highly recommend a stay for business or leisure

It was truly a pleasure to interact with the staff members who were super helpful Also, the hot breakfast was outstanding If they have a room(s) available, please make this your first choice

Derek Marois

So happy we found this fantastic pet friendly hotel! Much much nicer than the Senator and around the same price range AND you get a kitchen!? Im sold We travel to Augusta often to visit family in the area and this will be our new home base Grounds are very nice and the hotel itself feels sheek and new

The room was absolutely fantastic! Spacious and had everything we needed Facilities including the pool were clean and functional Our 2 black lab mixes loved it We may stay away from booking toward the lobby next time to cut down on hallway noise as everyone needs to pass our room, but that is not on the hotel – that is on me as it is what I chose when we checked in on the app While I am on that the Hilton app is really great I have been using it to unlock my room but I can also check in and out without ever talking to anyone which I love Makes it a lot easier to get in and out with the dogs Already booked our next stay!

Krista Paquin

The staff there are very friendly and the The cleanliness was top notch and the breakfast was very good BUT our stay was for our daughters birthday she wanted to go swimming Prior to check in I actually called and asked about the pool to see if there had been any issues with it being warm enough they said it was fine

Once we checked in and got to the pool we realized that was a lie! The pool was cold and another guest had told us about the trouble they had with it for a few days My husband went and got someone but he said he was unaware (ya right) The kids still had fun with blue lips and all The other con I have is the bed So uncomfortable I resorted to sleeping on the pull out couch

When we booked the motel 3 months ahead of time, we were charged at booking I assume if we had canceled, we would have been given a refund, but I’ve never paid up front before This irritated me at the start, but I booked this for the location for our driveand because we booked this hotel specifically for its 2 queen beds

When we arrived, we were told there were only 2 doubles in the room We were offered a $15 refund, which I acceptedI asked for 2 more sets of towels since most hotels only have 2 sets in the room and there were 4 people staying in the room When the owner handed me the towels, he pulled a hair out of them I didn’t think a lot of that since I have long hair and it can get stuck on thingsWhen we got to our room, we were overwhelmed by the smell of cigarette smoke I opened the one window I could open and kept the door to the room open, but it was at night and Maine has lots of mosquitoes, so keeping the door open didn’t last longThere was a full kitchenette, which I appreciated, but much of the room hadn’t been updated and caulking had mold in it The bathroom had cigarette burns all over the tub edge On the floor in the corners near the tub, it was filthy with dirt and maybe cigarette ashesThe curtains on one window didn’t cover the whole window and there were a couple of inches gap from the curtain to the wallThis room was one of the top 2 worst places I’ve ever stayed in my decades of booking hotelsIt’s possible they are renovating the place The office was filled with tools and things Maybe it’s just been sold to new owners But this room shouldn’t be rented out A No Smoking room shouldn’t smell at all like cigarettes I will give credit that they didn’t try to cover it up with some disgusting spray

Shania Cote

The check is was super easy for us as my boyfriend is handicapped ♿ They left the key for us, and charged our credit card later that night They didn’t attempt to bug us or hound us for the money

We checked out a little later than it said too and the owner was very understanding and didn’t charge us a late fee The housekeepers were VERY friendly and helpful with our TV and giving us more towels and things requested 😀 VERY VERY clean rooms, good amount of space even for a wheelchair! This Motel is super friendly and very clean, and deserves my money and 5 stars Definitely will stay here again very soon Thank you SO SO MUCH !!! 💓

Frank Palumbo

I’ve been living at the Cobbossee Motel since before the ownership changed hands back in late 2019 The new owners took really good care of me and the property, and when they moved off the property they hired a manager that mirrored their values The manager and housekeeping staff check in with me daily to see if there is anything I need, and how I’m doing

Cobbossee Motel is a quiet, family and pet friendly retreat for most, and home to those in need

We stayed in a pet friendly room that had an exterior exit which was nice, but did let in the smell of marijuana from someone smoking in their car outside The room was a little worse for wear mostly, I assume, because it is one of the pet friendly rooms The paint was peeled in a few places and the toilet shifted when my wife sat on it

There was a loose screw on top of the microwave and a cup of food in the microwave that didn’t belong to us so I question how thorough the cleaning was The room was spacious, quiet except for a bit of noise from above us and otherwise comfortable

Crystal Marquis

Everyone needs to be pampered, and this is that place Today I received a massage and color, cut and a blow out My massage was superb! Russel is a master for color! Having Russel was a blessing, not only is he an exceptional stylist, he’s a very special human being, so uplifting kind and caring

Best cut and color I’ve ever had and such a pleasure to talk to! All the staff was so friendly and kind, thank you to all I had the pleasure of interacting with, I can’t wait to go back!!

ArtAttik

I wish I could give them a better review or ratings cause the Spa is nice and the staff were nice with limited capacity to help you Hard to speak to any manager on site We were there for 4 days remember there is no housekeeping on sight for the rest of your stay

We were told to take garbage out ourselves or leave it by the door …… which causes more issues with bugs, this is a more of Motel Rooms are small and small pathways to walk around carpets are not very fresh nor clean For such a nice Spa it is pity the inn doesn’t catch up to that standard We had many issues tried to discuss with the managers of Spa or Inn none were available and had to email few times to get an answer and we were always the guilty one Stay elsewhere and used the Spa I wish I could give them better reviews cause most of the staff are friendly The massage with Pamela was great she was nice and friendly recommended highly Another disappointment that there was no restaurant on site it was for whatever reasons closed morning snacks are offered and coffee and hot water throughout the day I give a better rating to staff than to the inn

Room was clean, only down fall was mini fridge didn’t have freezer Stayed 1 night but hotel staff was more than accommodating and even went above normal policy to meet our need Breakfast options were great and staff was super friendly and helpful

5 stars would have been a thing but hot tub was not available during our stay and I was really looking forward to it

Jeffrey Ebel

Really surprised this hotel has four stars on Google I’m a platinum Choice Privileges member (just means I stay at a lot of quality and comfort inns for work) and this is way lower quality than most of quality inns I’ve seen This is honestly closer to looking like an Econo Lodge

Dirty hallways, rusty door/scanner plates, the bathroom on the room was miniature, and the hotel is just overall run-down The room was $180 a night on a Tuesday which was really high for what you get Breakfast was bare bones and way at the end of a hallway Lots of cons for this place The staff at check in was great, however the morning staff was less than helpful and courteousThe pros: a/c worked strong and stayed on all night, night staff at counter was helpful

Mickenzy Breton

The room we stayed in was somewhat small, especially the bathroom, and the hotel was very loud We stayed in a room near the lobby and we could hear most of the foot traffic, including some children running through the halls The hotel is pet friendly, but I would not recommend it folks with anxious dogs

Ours did not like the noise It was not particularly expensive though so you get what you pay for
