Greg and Willie are the consummate hosts Technical perfection in a laid back, informal way that makes you feel like you’ve returned to your childhood home The lodge is the quintessential getaway, with fascinating décor

Our room was perfectly equipped, functional and comfortable Most importantly, it was spotless The hike(s) to the Sky Loft is worth the effort The mystery of SID adds an interesting twist to the stay Convenient to some of Vermont’s prime attractions but special enough you may not want to leave the property We loved Moose Meadow Lodge and Tree House and we will be back!

We had the pleasure of returning to Moose Meadow Lodge at the end of September When we were there in the summer of 2013, I made it a goal to return in the fall the first year I retired Everything is the same only better

It is obvious that Willie and Greg spend lots of time upgrading the property! The setting and lodge are so beautiful but it is the hospitality that Willie and Greg provide that makes this experience outstanding! You really do feel at home from the minute you arrive! My husband and I have been to at least 40 B &Bs in our life and no other innkeepers come closeThe breakfast prepared by Willie is still awesome and I can’t wait to try his pancake mix that I bought This is one of our first adventures during the pandemic and Willie and Greg also did a great job with their Covid protocols I really can’t say enough great things about Moose Meadow Lodge Now we are thinking we need to try a winter vacation there😀

Staying at Moose Meadow Lodge was one of the most enjoyable experiences I have had staying anywhere around the country The location is absolutely beautiful, with walking trails, a pond, a gorgeous secluded property and so much more The best thing though is the hospitality of the owners, Greg and Willie

They made us feel welcome literally while we were still walking up the steps The amount of love and care they put into the property as well as ensuring their guests have a great time couldn’t be more evident They were also very accommodating to our 4 year old, and she is already asking to go back The breakfasts were some of the best I’ve had, incorporating local twists on familiar foods We stayed in the Mountain View room which was very comfortable and as the name suggests, offers beautiful views of Vermont’s Green Mountains It seems like good energy in general is drawn to this place, as we were lucky enough to be there for a surprise wedding, which I was happy to be able to be a (small) part of Next time we plan on checking out the Treehouse I feel no need to look for anywhere else to stay on future trips to Vermont as this place has everything I would look for and more in a hotel/B&BLooking forward to returning!

From the minute you enter, this is a great hotel Front desk was friendly and accommodating Before I even got to my room the associate (sorry was tired and didn’t catch her name) made sure to welcome me, tell me all the amenities, tips on the continental breakfast, and more

It felt genuine, not forced so even more appreciated I got to my room and 10 minutes in the wonderful associate even called me to make sure everything was great Rooms are a little small but I got a queen bed and couch which I enjoyed Dining from the Applebees next door to go Checkout was quick and easy, wished I could have had time to get my continental breakfast and while it seemed ready earlier than 6am I was on a schedule and had to leave I work in the area and as this particular situation it was practical to stay overnight, i certainly won’t hesitate to do so again I had one concern the day after I left and called back to see if the hotel could alleviate the concern, within 24 hrs Manager Sam Ballard called and emailed me not only addressing the situation but providing me proof it was thoroughly investigated Its greatly appreciated his hotel takes inquires seriously I will be definitely be staying here again

Sought this location after a few Google searches as we are quite familiar with the Marriott brand of hotelsWe were visiting from Canada so Vermont was just an hour’s drive from homeShort overnight getaway with my wife, away from the kids, just us, and this was all that we needed

Warm, welcoming locationCourteous and available staffClean, comfy, ‘homey’ roomsGenerous breakfastEfficient amenities And just a stone’s throw from Main local attractions(shops, restaurants, Ben & Jerry’s production facility) If you’re looking for fun, excitement and confetti à la NYC/LA/Vegas – not the place or locationBut if you’re looking to disconnect in a no fluff, no fuss, cozy and delightful atmosphere to just relax a bit and forget the world for just a secthis location provided exactly what we needed

We’ve stayed here over 20 times over the past 5 years Service and cleanliness is consistent and excellent Beds are above average

Limited covered parking is a plus together with a few level 1 plugs for vehicle charging Also a plus is that 2 handicapped parking spaces are located in the covered parking making it much easier to unload a wheelchair or other equipmentOverall, a rock solid hotel with staff to rival any 5-star hotels

Greg Morris

I spend as much time in hotels, for work, as I spend at home It’s always a pleasant surprise when a stay stands out, for all the right reasons That was certainly the case with the stay at the Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Waterbury Stowe

Sarah and the staff made the stay! The room was wonderful The fireplace a nice touch The breakfast was notably above average They were accommodating in every way We were truly made to feel at home and we look forward to our return

Overall, we were very pleased with our stay The staff was very friendly and helpful The restaurant, at which we had dinner, was excellent

The room was nice – roomy, well-kept, neat and clean The TV was high quality and good sized The beds were comfortable and we slept well We liked the view, which overlooked the busy main street and was fun for people-watchingOnly minor quibbles: both the shower head and the water flow was non-adjustable and the water flow was way too strong – like pins and needlesIt would also be nice if parking were free It was $10 per day, just remember to save your tickets and get them validated at the desk

The location of this hotel is just about perfect – it’s in the heart of downtown, within walking distance of all of Montpelier’s dining and shopping options The room was clean, the bathroom was great, and cleaning service was on a predictable 5-day schedule”Cleaning” service, though, only seems to include changing linens and making the bed

At no point during the 2-week stay was the bathroom actually cleaned, other than by meThe recommended breakfast option isn’t in-house, and it’ll run you more than $4 for a single self-serve, drip coffee Tip: go to the Shell station a block away and fill your cup for $1, and get one of their great breakfast sandwiches, tooOverall, if you’re not obsessive about details, it’s decent, but still don’t fall for the breakfast option

Family of 4 stayed 1 night on a return trip from Maine Parking is behind the hotel Access to the building required a key card

Arrived after 10p and the door was locked Good safety Elevator is very small and with luggage 2 trips were needed to reach our floor Beds had no box spring so the matress sits on wood Husband didn’t like it while I slept like a rock However, this hotel had one of the best showers ever!!! Hot water, full spray, powerful Came home and the whole family mentioned wanting the shower that we had at Capitol Plaza Fridge in the room Walking distance of restaurants in Montpelier The hotel had history while having recent updates and I would guess is beautifully decorated at Christmas!

The room and amenities were great for a family of 3 Good breakfast, ample parking and close to everything As an animal lover, I especially loved the Parrot in the lobby and the dogs that sat outside with us at breakfast

The price was great and more than worth it Highly recommend the Old Stagecoach Inn if your travels bring you to the Waterbury area!

My wife and I had the pleasure of a night’s stay at this marvelous inn at the invitation of our daughter who has stayed there numerous times It was as if we had traveled back in time to the 1800’s! The place is filled with antiques and that includes the rooms The staff is friendly and efficient

The star of the show was the incredible breakfast which is included in the cost of the room A stunning menu for such a modestly sized inn! We had the pleasure of meeting the chef, John Barwick, who is also the inn’s owner We look forward to another, LONGER, stay in the future

Jesse Graves

I cannot give this place enough stars It’s charming, clean, and comfortable The showers have wonderful high-flow shower heads

The location is perfect It’s a one block walk to the fantastic Waterbury bars and restaurants They have a cute little bar where you can get a cocktail, liquor, or beerBut the biggest thing by far is the breakfast which is included Two days in a row I had a breakfast that I thought about all day First was salmon eggs benedict which was the best eggs benedict I’ve ever had Second was huevos rancheros At this point, I’m probably more excited about the breakfast here than the Vermont beer a block away
