We love this place and have been there all four seasons, the home is walking distance from Bear Mountain Ski resort and has fantastic views from the great room, dining room, kitchen, and front deck There is also a national forest a block away with trails and a great hill to ride tubes or sleds The lake is a short drive away for boating, fishing, and swimming

You can also walk down to the Zoo or the golf course which are about three blocks away BUT if you want to never leave the home there is a 8 person hot tub, full high speed internet service, nice kitchen, three large bedrooms and three full baths! The Great room and master suite both have fireplaces and there is also a gas bbq on the front deck

Matthew Krier

This place was fabulous for our family stay! Great location within walking distance of the ski resort, sledding hills, and hiking/biking trails The views of the ski slopes are breathtaking The jacuzzi was perfect after a long day of skiing

There are TVs in all the bedrooms, and 3 full bathrooms This is the perfect summer and winter getaway!

Cole Brunt

Wow what a great location This home is two blocks from Bear Mountain ski resort and you can literally sit on the couch in the great room and see all the actions on the slopes The home has three large bedrooms, three baths, two fireplaces, and a large hot tub, plus the home has cable, WiFi, and an air hockey table

I would definitely stay there again

ADORABLE!!! These cottages are a great idea I stayed in the Enchanted Forest cottage So cute!! Each cottage has a different theme

The bed was amazing, it made it hard to get out of it But I was on vacation, so it worked! LOL The detail they put into the cottage was very much appreciated I saw something new every time I looked around What a great alternative to a normal hotel room Definitely a place for couples to rekindle thier romance, or get away from reality for a little bit Close to The Village, which was a huge plus Will definitely go back I want to try out all the other themes

Jessica Hong

We are currently staying here for the night and I love it, it’s so unique with the different themed rooms, definitely gives you a sense of adventure when you come here We stayed at the Antony and Cleopatra cabin The manager was so nice and welcoming and just overall super chill! Me and my husband will definitely be staying here again to try out the other rooms

This place is okay it’s a bit dated, the carpet feels crunchy and old and the outlets were placed in inconvenient places based on how the bed was laid out

lots of little odd things the bed was springy and the pillows were flat as could be with zero support so bring an actual pillow with you if you decide to go this route we travel a lot and this was just not what I expected for a “resort” the room was spacious and the jetted tub was great, a little odd being next to the bed but not the end of the world either I lost an eye mask there and realized only a few hours after, called back and they hadn’t cleaned the room, no big deal but we’d left the city, called back every day for a week and never got a good answer The man at the front desk was very short with me On day 3 and 4 when I called and they said they still hadn’t cleaned the room yet so that was very concerning not a terrible place to stay but not worth 200$ we will be coming back to big bear and we won’t be staying here I can promise you that

Sandra Skinner

Location is great! But unfortunately, the room needs some TLC and updating Definitely needs paint, new bedding and a good cleaning Bathroom had ants, reported it to the front desk and was basically told yes ants are common this time of year, and that was it

We stayed for 3 nights, no maid service, had to ask for fresh towels and emptied our own trash WIFI was spotty, had to keep restarting the internet We were the only two guess at the hotel so could not understand why the WIFI was so terrible? We come to Big Bear often, and usually stay at the Robinhood, but unfortunately, we will be looking else where next time There are to many hotels that are updating their rooms and property that we can stay at!

Penny is the best hostess we’ve ever encountered She met us at the door of the lobby and welcomed us inside like we were her family here for Easter What a delightful greeting

Went out of her way to give us a private room and really showed us the best hospitality Best Western, you have a gem of an employee Everyone and everything was 5 star From the beautiful decor to the cozy fireplace in the room Excellent

Daniel Gurrola

Oh man, this petri dish of a hotel is a gem Not only did we get a room in the basement where you could hear the roar of Niagara Falls rushing through the walls and the heating going on and off all night sounding like gremlins running through the vents… But to top it off, and this is no joke, we picked up ringworm from the sheets or bath towels

Disappointed because the place looks decently nice in the main entry, lobby, dining areas, and has a cool fireplace in the room but got minimal sleep and brought back home a virus Fun times

Great location Spa in winter is bliss and overall comfortable Most of bear lake attractions are nearby

But for the price it charges, i expected better facilities Air conditioning did not work Was at constant 78 degree Fahrenheit and couldn’t be controlled which was horribly hot Room service came and didn’t know what was happening and finally just helped in opening the window when AC was on No coffee in the lobby

David Gray

Facility is dated / dirty & brokenOn day one I was initially checked into a room that had Not been cleaned Went back down to desk to ask for a clean room and was assigned a room With-out any windows just a door to a outside hallway that was filthy (Room 124)

The room was dark and smelled damp like an old basement bedroom I had as a child Damage to walls and bathroom vanityAfter asking multiple times I was re-assigned on day two to a roomalso with damage to walls and vanity but this at least had a windowRoom (125)It also had ANTS coming out of the closest and hot water stopped working midday The ceiling had filth on it where the air conditioner vent was blowingOne of two washing machines out of order and breakfast Burrito and coffee for $2200 that was cold and lacked flavor2 stars are for location in the village otherwise this place is a dumpSuch a great disappointment, happy to be out of thereStay away!

Linda Meyer

Room was large The fireplace was a great feature The location is perfect! However, the restaurant attached to the property had the worst customer service

The server was yelling at customers and at 830am closed the restaurant saying that they were out of foodThey had only been open 30 minutes The next day we walked a mile for breakfast in the snow to avoid that place I told the customer service rep at checkout and my complaint was dismissed

Overall it was great Nice and quiet if you want to get away from city lifePROS=It was clean and wasn’t far from the lake about a 5 min walk

Park is close by and some fast food places right around the corner I also like that you have a mini fridge, microwave, and coffee maker CONS=The only thing I didn’t like was the pretty stiff bed but I’ve slept on worse and it’s manageable

We’ve stayed in this house multiple times and it is a perfect way to experience Big Bear Views are amazing 200 yards to a hiking/running/mountain bike/cross country ski/snowmobile trail head that gives you 50+ miles of trails and all types of terrain to explore, including some huge rock formations that kids love to climb on

It isn’t ski-in/ski-out, but I’ve snowboarded down to Big Bear Mountain from the house on days it dumps Hot tub is huge, with a great view of the lake & slopes The front/approach to the house isn’t all that which is probably why it is in such great shape as it doesn’t look like the traditional BB faux log cabin, but the inside & layout & deck are all first class

My whole family and I Absolutely loved every single thing about our cabin Check in was easy and the the staff was amazing and friendly We had a three bedroom cabin and everything was perfect

The whole cabin was clean and we had everything we needed Honestly I really loved the whole set up, we enjoyed ourselves the whole week we were there My children loved the game room very much , everyday after dinner we would walk to the game room to play games or go around the neighborhood The homes around the cabins are beautiful!! Hopefully next time I go we can use the pool The best thing about our trip was when all my children woke super early the last day of our trip play in the snow

Michael Boykin

I have stayed here twice now Both times in an upper two bedroom (king, 2 twins)Friendly and helpful staff Plenty of towels and comfortable king bed in master bedroom with on suite bath

Kitchen had most utensils and a few spices in single use packaging Fridge with ice maker, stacked washer dryer, Dishwasher, electric stove, and gas grill were easy to use and enough dishes for 6-8 propleOnly problem I had was the low shower heads I am 6-1 and the shower head was at eye level so I had to bend down to wash my headThere is a spacious rec area with lounge area, ping pong, foosball, and shuffle board tables

Lisa Pologeorgis

One of my favorite Worldmark locations It has a great mountain feel, and so many fun options for families: ping pong, corn hole, tennis, basketball, bocce ball, pool, foosball, and arcade games The grounds are well-kept and feel like a park in between buildings

One trip here was unseasonably warm for multiple days, and there is no AC, so that’s why not a 5-star rating on the rooms, but it’s usually so unnecessary, so it makes sense they wouldn’t have it The staff is friendly and helpful We love it here

The staff was absolutely amazing Flexible, accommodating it and everything you could possibly ask for The accommodations were stellar for the price

The amenities were beyond exceptional This is a great place for a family of four or even five to stay and enjoy all the best big bear has to offer Location was superb Clean, comfortable rooms that were obviously upgraded and modernized to accommodate the times and the needs of travelers I cannot say enough good things about this place and the people that run it Outstanding value for the money and I would definitely pick this is my go to place for a Big Bear stay

Tomer Pollatchek

Stayed here for a week, enjoyed it and would come backStaff is super friendly, everyone make you feel right at homeLocation is great and you have everything around you

Rooms are roomy, well laid out, 2 bathrooms, well stocked kitchen, wasn’t missing a thingIf I had to look for issues:1 The rooms aren’t air conditioned – we knew that going in of course And while not horrible, it can get a little too warm during the day(but, that was the pool is for)2 (minor) The TV in the living room is mounted way way too high It looks great on the wall, but watching it while sitting on the sofa will kill your neckAside from these two things, everything else was really great, would highly recommend and definitely come back

Elodie Ulrych

So great place !!! The room was big, very clean and comfortable The mattresses ( bed and sofa) were in good conditionsThe kitchen was very good equipped

The employees were so nice and friendly In addition game board, DVD, pool and outdoor grill enjoyed our day too Only 3 min in car to the down town and supermarket We highly recommend this place

The good: Very well located Hot Jacuzzi which is great in the winter They provide towels

Nice area in the back for sledding if the snow is right The bad: Expensive Dirty rooms The cleaning staff does the minimum possible We had dirty towels, popcorn and candy wrappers on the floor when we checked in It was also noisy, especially if you have guests above you We were woken up two mornings in a row by the guests above us, who were very excited to be together (if you know what I mean) Good for them but bad for us with the kids If you decide to stay here, I would recommend getting a room on the third floor

Rob L

Family stayed here over a weekend due to the close proximity to the downtown area Hotel is of course older but the lobby was very nice and staff friendly and helpful Rooms were a little small and again dated due to the age of the property

Unfortunately, Big Bear Lake was very low when we visited so there really wasn’t beach front to enjoy That said, the kids did enjoy the outdoor games that are setup and the hot tub

D

Really nice location that’s within walking distance of the Village and dozens of restaurants and bars It’s on a private beach with a pool, jacuzzi, etc the rooms were nice and had an upscale cabin feel to them The layout was interesting, which is good if you’re on the bottom floor and your room opens to the beach

The other rooms have really great views but you have to walk around the entire building to get to the back Staff was nice and helpful You’re paying a premium for the location more than the rooms themselves But if you’re looking for a hotel on the beach in the most convenient part of town – this is it

This place is awesome! Very nice amenities in a quaint area with a beautiful backyard but the real gems here are the owners Johann and Evelyn, they are the nicest hosts in Big Bear, and Johann’s cooking is AMAZING He is hands down the best chef in Big Bear, including all the fancy restaurants up here He does dinners on Thursday and Saturday nights, you have to reserve your seat in advance because it’s very intimate, the night we ate there it was 2 tables of 8

We had the best beef we have very had a French style Filet Mignon, an amazing twice baked potato and some of the best desert I have had in years, he also makes his own ancient grain sourdough bread that is so good he sells it to other restaurants and anyone lucky enough to try it If you want a special weekend or a quick getaway just it pamper yourself this is so much better than a hotel or Lodge, the backyard has a beautiful stream and is nicely wooded This place is beautiful and run by the nicest people you’ll ever meet

Shu Liang

This is the perfect place to stay when you visit Big Bear Johann and Evelyn are the nicest host you can ask forThe main building is like a huge cabin but gives out such homely feeling

The rooms are cozy and quietOne thing you will love here is the food Johann is a cooking ensusiastic He really put his heart in his cooking He always servers South Africa style breakfast, which is included in your stay I had my best bacon hereYou can also choose to have dinner with them, which I highly recommend The dinner usually took couple days of preparation Johann and Evelyn will tell you what are the ingredients and preparation they have done when serving each dish, that all add up to the flavour I never had one thing I don’t love here yet

Arash Zarimani

My wife and I stayed at this bed and breakfast Inn for 3 nights It is located in a very quiet and beautiful location, and easily accessible to all the local amenities and restaurants and not too far from the village Yohan and Evelyn were very welcoming

They ensured that we had a very pleasant stay The breakfast in the morning was outstanding and the afternoon appetizers were equally delicious The wine in the afternoon was very good Our room was very clean and spacious and we greatly enjoyed the spa in the room Overall we found our experience to be extremely good and would highly recommend this location to anyone visiting Big Bear

50-50 Very, very nice Can do with a lick of paint here and there and some furniture replacement

Our couch in apt 1 definitely has passed its glory days I have back problems and the couch did not help, but that’s not a show stopper It should be easy for them to replace or repair that couch Very, very clean and all the comforts you need I travel globally a lot for work and am fed up with hotels This place is a mini home away from home Another poor point is sound proofing Our neighbors upstairs put their TV on at 6:30 on Sunday morning It was quite loud or sound proofing is just poor as we could very easily hear their TV, waking us up, whilst we hoped to have a relaxing lie in Would we come back? Not sure only because of the poor sound proofing and the very uncomfortable couch

Sheri Smith

I wish I didn’t have to leave a star at all We stayed here in August 27 thru 29 2021 It appeared we were the only ones there

They didn’t have air conditioning and the guy at the front desk said they provide fans and to open a window The tv was old and staticky Even though we were the only ones there, the guy would not give us another room The place is rustic but not in a good way, seems hasn’t been updated since the 50’s, again not in a good way It seemed really eerie when we came back from dinner, almost hauntingly eerie as there was very little lighting to get upstairs to our room No one was at the front desk at night We asked for clean towels after our first night and never received them Bed was super uncomfortable Both my husband and I felt as if we were sleeping in the middle of the bed as it had a dip in it Again no accommodations to move usAlso they said they were not renting out the cottages as they are advertising for them Stay somewhere else to have a nice visit in Big Bear!!!Run very fast away from this joint!!!

M V

I give it 4 stars because there was no ac and a random hole in the dining room area If you plan on staying here don’t do it in the summer We stayed on06/18/21 -06/21/21

Don’t get me wrong the place is really nice and I do plan on coming back but not in the summer

For the prices this place is worth staying at I had reserved a suite with King size bed that includes a microwave and mini fridge However, when we arrived the lady at the front desk informed me that she was upgrading us to a suite with a full kitchen which includes a stove

The only drawbacks for me were that the suite had a full size bed, and even though it also had an extra futon, I didn’t really need it Also, there is no AC in any of the units

Brian G

We were in room four of the two story building at the ground levelFirst off I was impressed with the front desk person, Luz, as she called me prior to check in to let me know if we wished to check in early that there were rooms available I found that to be thoughtful

As it turned out we did arrive early as we were hoping to catch up with our son who is staying at Big Bear for a month to train XC with his team However, they took off for a while before we got there so we had free time So this call from Luz was very opportune We arrived and met her and all I have to say is that she is the right person to have meeting guests She has a wonderful smile and pleasant disposition She welcomed me and checked us in quickly Same with our checkoutThe resort is as pictured Older but in good condition Our room, at first impression, was cozy but adequate with two double beds There is a non-working fireplace which will be removed during their upcoming renovation Room for a small table and chair and a large flat screen TV The bathroom was overall clean although the inside shower curtain had rust around the edges That could be changed There is a microwave and small fridge and two fans as there is no a/c We used one fan at night to circulate the air to keep the room comfortable I don’t know how well this will work in hot weather The flat fan did not work NOTE: Even though the sink was clean we left a cup of lemonade on the counter and we had ants in less than an hour So don’t leave anything on the counter for too long We killed them immediately and had no subsequent problems but we couldn’t find a trail or entry point We suggest that the units get sprayed inside and out around the perimeters as neededThe beds were very comfortable and the location, although next to the main road was quiet in our room For the price that they offer I believe that there is value in this property We would certainly consider staying here again and recommend it to others

Rachael Virgillo

When you open the door to the room you can’t help but hit the nightstand that’s on the side of the king size bed which takes up 90% of the room The door has three locks on it but only one works The key ring has two keys one goes to one of the working locks

I don’t know where the other one goes to The bed was too firm and you take a shower in a cave The night lights on either side of the bed won’t turn on They’re not even plugged in The walls are so thin you can hear everyone and they can hear you One plus was that there’s a pool table that you can play for free It’s also right off Big Bear Blvd

10 years ago we stayed at Gold Mountain Manor It’s where we got engaged We decided to return to the same place and even stayed in the same room

Ownership changed since our last stay but, Darrin and Amy were just as charming as the rooms! You can tell they care so much about your experience They spare no expense on ensuring the little details are there to make your stay more comfortable and memorable The bedsheets were so soft it was like sleeping on a cloud Everything smelled so fresh and pretty To top it off they have the best employees who care just as much as they do Georgi was so sweet and attentive We will definitely be back! This place is truly magical

If you’re looking for a place to unwind and relax, this might be the right spot They have the friendliest staff, and treat guests with a delicious breakfast individually served All amenities you can think of for an inn will be there

My suite had a fireplace, cable tv with premium channels, and was furnished with robes, different types of body lotions, aromatic bath salts, a big two person jacuzzi, espresso machine, and more
