We will be making this place our yearly cabin destination Paul is so kind and the cabins are very nice The boat rental prices are manageable and there’s enough to do, even on rainy days, that you don’t have to leave

The lake is beautiful with plenty of wildlife I hesitated writing this because I don’t want to reveal this gem Perfect for family reunions and kids! My son left his lovey and Paul mailed it the following business day Thank you for the memories Twin Oaks Resort!

Travis Huber

This place is absolutely beautiful! The beds aren’t great by any means but everything is so so clean and well but together Remember if you want to grill to bring some charcoal (I forgot but the family did not) they have pontoons for rent and places to doc your own boat which is greatThe fishing on this lake it pretty good

Lots of bass and sunnies I’ve heard claims of walleye and northerns but can’t prove that by me!

Cuyuna Cove does not disappoint!! They have thought of everything you could possibly need while staying there The kitchen was stocked with a tea kettle, French press, the cutest coffee mugs, etc There are too many special little touches to list

One of my favorite things about the tiny cabin was the luxury bed It was the most comfortable night’s sleep I’ve ever had In addition to the amenities and gorgeous view, the team is incredibly kind and helpful I visited during a solo trip and found that I needed a ride to pick up my rented bike Mona Jo was happy to let me hitch a ride with her, which was so incredibly kind! My only disappointment was that I only stayed one night Next time I will be booking multiple nights for sure! Thank you to Kelsey and Chris for creating such a beautiful haven! You have clearly thought of everything so your guests can simply relax Also, kudos on hiring such talented and caring staff to help take care of your guests and their experience with you I can’t wait to come back!!

Stefani Charter

My husband and I took a kid free mini vacation here for our anniversary and oh my goodness this place does not disappoint!!! Kelsey and the team are amazing 🤩 We got a little something extra for our anniversary celebration making it extra special The cabins are beautiful The entire area is beautiful

They left a book detailing so many things to do in town We rented mountain bikes, went hiking, enjoyed local restaurants There is a place to watch the sunset over Portsmouth Lake just steps away from the resort Recommending Cuyuna to friends and family Will definitely be back!

Mauryah Burattini

We had an incredibly weekend stay at Cuyuna Cove with our one year old! It was gorgeous winter weather so we enjoyed going for hikes (we brought a toddler sled) and snow shoeing The cabin was SO beautiful and clean Everything we could have needed for our stay was provided for us right down to the last detail

We loved sitting on the balcony to enjoy our meals! We weren’t sure how sleeping arrangements would go with a toddler but we brought a portable crib and set it up in the bathroom and our son slept a full 12 hours each night Overall, it was the perfect place to turn off our phones, forget about work, and just enjoy some family time

GVL is amazing We just had a memorable vacation there Breakfast buffet is outstanding!! Chocolate Ox is a dream come true and all the fun activities the resort offers are one of the best parts

Staff is super friendly and ready to go out of their way to make you happyI do have a few things I need to point: we stayed at the golf course suites Air conditioner way too old and extremely noisy They must be upgraded Also I would appreciate a little more attention to cleanness There were spider webs and spiders And windows also were really dirty Other than that this place is top notch and we’re definitely coming back next summer ☀️

Mindy Obrigewitch

Everything about our stay was top notch! Our kids loved the pools, slides, pizza, icecream, you name it I loved that we didn’t have to leave the resort and there were so many more things to do we didn’t even get to The property was absolutely beautiful and well taken care of

Everyone we came across from the gals working at the coffee shop in our hotel to the staff at the north pool, were friendly Also very clean Our first real vacation and we plan to come back for years to come! Thank you!

Everything looked cleaned but everything felt like they took the cheapest route possible The bathroom was too small, it was impossible to comfortably use Shower / tub was the same

Tv was on the smaller side and the heat / cooling was hard to regulate It was either too hot, or too cold The breakfast, was completely unexpected and fantastic! Lots of options and choices The food was fresh and delicious!

Rachel Storlie

The king suite with bunk beds was perfection My teen girls are always complaining about having to share a hotel bed Not today! Huge room with a wall sectioning off the bunk beds and eating area

Full size fridge, kitchen sink, microwave, and tons of counter space It’s basically a studio apartment Pool and hot tub was great Free wifi, no hassle with passwords Breakfast had a large variety including boiled eggs, yogurt machine and toppings, donuts, breads, muffins, biscuits & gravy, cereals, fruit, and a sweet pancake machine that pops out the cutest little pancake bites! This hotel is close to everything Less than 10 mins to the incredible Whipple Beachwalking distance to Target, KFC, Jimmy John’s, Aldi and more! Right on the 371 strip Staff was friendly and helpful, check-in was quick and easy Definitely staying here again and slightly regretting telling you about the hidden gems of the suites because I want them available when I need them 😉 5 stars all the way

This is a fun place to stay! The rooms are clean t he breakfast is good and the water park is fun! but there is a few things to mention the chlorine levels were really high and made people keep cough and just made me and other people feel sick A kid threw up and I think some went in the pool and they never really cleaned it up but they did sweep the stuff up on the pool deck otherwise then that the place was good they also have a little arcade

chris wittstruck

We had a fun time staying here Very kind friendly helpful service staff The water slides and kids area were great! The hot tub was actually hot! They also have a little arcade room and exercise room

This place is magical/so much fun!! Sierra at the front desk and the pool manager were wildly helpful to everyone in our party All the staff were kind, and the waterpark was SO GREAT As a mother of 3 young boys, I appreciate that they had the time of their lives AND the adults in our group had a blast too, screaming with joy down the water slides

Overall a nice place to stay Rooms clean and accommodating Small refrigerator and a microwave in room

Toilet was short (like most hotels) so a grab bar would have been very helpful for those of us with bad hips or backs, etc Breakfast was OK (waffles, and sausage biscuits w/gravy) and a few other general breakfast items Front desk staff pleasant and cheerful Would stay again but possibly request a room with a taller toilet for us older kids

David “David Schardin” Schardin

Cheapest place in town unless you are willing to put up with some place junkyContinental breakfast was nice Included cook your own waffles, couple types of cereal, packaged/instant oatmeal, hard boiled eggs,, toast, yogurt

Pretty basic but a nice enough varietyThe rooms felt a tad smallThings were cleanDoors let sounds in easily and I had very noisy neighborsAir conditioner made a loud THUNK when it turned on

Unknown

They took me in after the country inn & suites overbooked my room I was very leery of this hotel just because I am so used to the more upscale chains like hiltons & marriotts But, to my surprise, the late night front desk rep took me in with a big smile & some jokes, making me feel more than welcomed (and no chance of being overbooked!;)

She even secured the quietest room she could for me on the top floor and I slept like a baby! Extremely comfortable bed/pillows, didn’t hear neighbors at all either- it was exactly what I needed! Thanks for accommodating me & turning me into a fan of Super 8 hotels! 😉

Lost Lake Lodge was a great place to stay with my mom, sister and daughter The cabins were charming and clean Our cabin looked over the lake and we were able to watch deer cross over on the ice-covered portions

We had a couple of “user errors” during our stay and Alysa was so kind and helpful She was incredible from the moment we walked in the door I would definitely recommend staying here

SB M.

Not worth the moneyThe resort has many old and many new cabins Our family had several of the old cabins, which were somewhat updated with several shortcomings: Scalding hot water, doors that don’t shut, garbage dumpsters for a view, and gas smells

The restaurant was always closed, and, other than the beach, there’s nothing to do We had a nice time, but won’t return They charge far too much for what you get

KC Jensen

The cabin was very nice and the views were beautiful even in the off-season Only a few small issues being there was no hand soap in the bathroom, most of the outlets in the kitchen did not work( we did have maintenance look at it and all they did was reset the breaker and that did not fix the problem), and between it being the offseason and the pandemic it was a little difficult to try and get ahold of staff Other than those little things, I would definitely recommend visiting anytime of the year and staying in this particular cabin

The best part had to have been constantly being surrounded by Swans, geese, and ducks And waking up to them every morning 😍

This place was great we had so much fun The live music acts there that late afternoon/evening were both really good The food was great! Got the fried chicken sandwich and the cheese curds

They were both amazing the memorable The prices are reasonable for the areas The specialty cocktails were not great so get something basic at the bar The outdoor vibe is great Expect to wait a little while if you go during peak hours Our server was fantastic!!

Jessie Fernandez

Let me start off by saying I travel the country for work I stay at multiple hotels every month and found this place by accidentThe price was around 200$ for the night and worth every penny

The staff was on point and genuinely friendly Loved the host/waiter was super kind and checked on us frequentlyThe restaraunt put out hot and quick food that was very goodThe bar tender giving my and my wife one of the best drinks we have tasted in the United States (I usually buy 2 or 3 drinks at each bar in hotels I stay at, it’s usually their special and something easy just for a test)Finally the rooms Beyond any expectation to be honest Ask for top floor! The high ceilings, the fire place, and the decor was just amazing Every feel of being lake side along with the space that makes you feel like you are in a home and not a hotel Couldn’t ask for more

Sara Bisanz

We stayed here for four nights in June Overall I would say it was pretty good It’s important to know that this is a small boutique resort

For us, it was almost a little too quiet, especially on the weekdaysAll the rooms have beautiful views of the lake, and the rooms in the newer part (where we stayed) are very modern and nice There is a marina and restaurant on site, although the restaurant is closed Tuesdays and WednesdaysUnfortunately the air conditioning in our room was broken when we arrived and it was very hot outside, and we were not told about this at check-in To be fair, there was a temporary/portable AC unit in the room, but it was quite loud and didn’t lower the room temp below 80 degrees (even overnight) We were able to switch to a smaller, less expensive room with working AC At checkout I was told that we would get a credit for the price difference, but that they were having problems with their reservation system and that they would call me with an update However, I was never contacted nor issued a creditA couple other things we ran into was both our room cards stopped working during our stay, and we had to be issued new room cards There was also a gas fire pit we were hoping to use to roast marshmallows, but it was not workingI think this place is a nice option if you prefer a low-key, relaxing stay, but stars were deducted due to a less-than-smooth experience and lack of communication from staff

The owners make you feel special and welcomed The boats are very reasonably priced and well maintained The Pizza in the restaurant was Great ! We Love Crow Wing Lake Campground and will be coming back year after year !

Everyone was nice and friendly This is the first TV park I’ve been too where I have not been forced to listen to 4 different camp sites radios While there were lots of dogs, there was next to zero barking

The camp store has the largest selection of groceries I’ve ever seen at a park Disk golf, basketball, corn hole, swimming pool, all included There is even a small cafe As I write this on a sat night nearing 10 pm, I can pretty much only hear my fire crackling I go camping to be out in nature, that is what I got while here

Booked the resort for a family vacation before COVID When COVID hit owners wouldn’t give deposit back, which was understandable But when our families grew larger in that time they were not willing to work with us

Calling the resort to make payments, discuss options or resort details was a disaster After one night stay with 19 people (9 kids 4 and under) in two three bedroom cabins Tom and Nancy walked up, demanded we leave within an hour, charged us $200 over our remaining amount, called the police on us, would not discuss what the problems were, claimed their were complaints from the night before but when pressed couldn’t provide any (it had rained and hailed the night before and we didn’t share a wall with anyone) I have never felt so disrespected by someone in the hospitality business for absolutely no reason Their was no warning, just immediate escalation It was noted to us that the owners were very close friends of the people two cabins down from us In addition, the people in the cabin next to us told us they had more people then allowed in their cabin, if kids 3 and under counted, and so did the people who checked in after them They told Nancy when checking in they had too many people and she let them stay when she told us she would never have let that many people stay in a cabin if they had known when trying to kick us out When the police showed up, the officer was very nice to us Told us we didn’t do anything wrong and we were allowed to stay because we had rented the place and the owners were trying to intimidate us If you are looking for a good family oriented resort who is willing to work with you to meet your needs this is not the place

K P

Prepare to be disappointed This place has gone downhillI called the resort to ask a few clarifying questions on my reservation and got different answers every time! I then went to the front desk and asked the same questions and was met with rude responses as if I “should have known”

The claim to be a “family” oriented resort is just not the reality SadlyIf you want a relaxing stay where you feel like a GUEST at a resort where your reasonable needs are accommodated for you and your family, then this is not the resort Go elsewhere Save your time, money, patience and go elsewhere

Definitely a fun, family friendly place to stayI didn’t catch her name, but there was an older woman working the front desk to get us checked in and she was rather rude she left and was replaced with someone else who was much more familiar with customer service

The water park was a blast, though the chlorine was very, very strong The arcade was decent but if you like old fashioned tickets you’ll notice they use a play card insteadOur room was wonderful and very cleanI would recommend staying here if you have kids, or if you’re a big kid at heart

Joel Collette

Very nice and clean! Very comfortable beds and especially pillows! It was neat that each room (cabin) has a different woodland themed name

nice touch! There’s also a huge Waterpark here, great for families! It was closed when we were there, as it has limited hours right now- so check their website for times! Everyone was very nice and accommodating Nice stay!

Chandice Kloeckl

We booked a (2) queen bed (1) pull-out couch room The website says 4-6 people Yet I had to pay $30 ($15 per kid) when my son decided he wanted to bring a 2 friends (bringing our room total to 5)

The pool and arcade close @ 8:30 The lifeguard had ear buds in the whole time and was on her phone Kids had tubes stacked 4 high some kids didn’t get a tube Big kids were running and jumping all over the toddler area never once was a whistle blown The trash from the night before was never emptied There was an unused tampon on the floor by the hot tub Pool didn’t open until 9 yet checkout is 11 with no option for a late check-outDo yourself a favor and book a room at the Holiday Inn So much better You won’t regret your stay there like I regretted my stay here!
