Good hotel for the price Good location Interesting design

The hallway I was on was super warm but the room was nice and cool The staff was very friendly and efficient As a taller and bigger guy the space was plenty big enough Because the shower and toilet space are shared your toilet floor is never really dry One of the main light bulbs was on the fritz but when I twisted it back into place it worked There was no coffee in the hotel but you did get a discount at the local breakfast joint

Lisa D

Stayed here during the January Blizzard, it is cozy, comfortable and clean Tons of outdoor space, some cozy seating sprinkled throughout the floor Staff is friendly, bar/food/game area inside of hotel, quiet street, good food around a few minutes to the L train

I will definitely stay here again! I will say the toilet inside the shower was refreshing, I have a butt washer at home so I liked the concept Rain shower and handheld shower Beds are comfy, the tv at the end of the bunks are a nice touch This is equivalent to a dorm room, so don’t complain and enjoy the experience I did!

Robert Kim

We booked two rooms for a family visit The location was great with lots of restaurants within a couple blocks Also, the hotel is very well maintained, and their staff was warm and welcoming from the first to last moment of our visit

The room was very well appointed and had been well maintained While it was a very busy hotel, the atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable This is one of our new favorite destinations in NY

Jennifer Carter

This hotel was perfectly situated in Brooklyn and is extremely accessible to a NYC metro station, great restaurants and retail stores The staff was pleasant with the exception of the gentleman who played double duty as the host and waiter for the breakfast area He was quite difficult when I requested a substitution for one of the menu items, which definitely left a bad taste in my mouth

The bartenders at the hotel bar made delicious cocktails and the mandatory “Destination Fee” can be applied to purchases made at the hotel restaurant I would definitely stay here again

Shanee

Such a great hotel! Great location and amazing customer service From the front desk staff to the restraint staff, A1 service The rooms are spacious for NYC and very nice bathrooms

Excellent hot showers My only complaint is the rooms were too cold, y’all need better insulation or hotter heaters because it took hours for the room to warm up

We booked a very last minute ticket to a NY festival and were really trying to find a room in this particular area The manager of the EVEN went above and beyond to get us a room in their very full hotel Forever grateful!Bonuses: The rooms are very clean and comfortable

The toiletries in the bathroom smell great The room service attendants are pleasant Good workout facilities Budget friendly Big windows My favorite- the receptionists are especially kind and helpfulI look forward to booking rooms here next year already!

James Brady

So the price was the real driver here It runs half the price of hotels in Manhattan, but it’s only a 10 min train ride away

Check in was a breeze The room was spotless Speaker didn’t work, but that wasn’t a deal breaker as we were only there for one nightThe flavored ice water at reception was a very nice touchTo sum it up, it’s a clean and well run yoga themed Holiday Inn We would gladly stay there again

Will Sullivan

The Even Brooklyn is a nice hotel with a perfect location! This place has just about everything you’d need and it was very clean I kinda liked all the workout equipment in the rooms Having yoga mat there was nice! The staff is super friendly and accommodating

The only gripe I had about this hotel was the size of the beds; they claim they are king size but my legs stuck out about 1/2 a foot off the end and I’m 6′ It was a little difficult to get comfortable with that

Jordan West

We had our wedding and rehearsal dinner at the Wythe Both events were beautiful The venue itself is amazing

We were looking for something that felt elegant but still felt like Brooklyn Wythe was perfect for that The location was perfect for all of our guests Wythe went above and beyond to help plan and coordinate our event We had all the food made by the Wythe Hotel kitchen and it was excellent Down to the smallest detail

Cory H

The basic standard for a hotel is a clean room The Wythe accomplished that and little else After contacting the hotel about parking, they recommended nearby places to park and said there was an area next to the hotel to temporarily park to unload

We arrived to find that area did not exist Not a great startThe front desk staff person at check in rolled her eyes when it was my turn to check in She did not explain anything about the hotel aside from wifi, unlike the other person at the desk who explained the two restaurantsWe got to the room to find the room was incredibly small, which was not surprising, but there was nowhere to put our suitcase or really any counter or storage space at all The only area that could have been used was the mini barOne of the worst parts of the room was the almost complete lack of lighting What little lighting the room had was inadequate, especially for make-up or even just readingAdditionally, the sound insulation between rooms is awful Don’t stay here on a weekend if you stay on a lower floor, as the noise from the event space permeates up at least to the 3rd floor It’s also incredibly noisy any time someone opens the curtain in the room You can generally hear into adjacent rooms as wellLastly, the towels we were given had holes in them and required to calls to the front desk to get replaced The shower also does not maintain a constant pressure or temperatureOverall this one among the worst hotel experiences I’ve had, far from the “4-star” experience advertised Other guests of the event I attended stayed at the William Vale and spoke very highly of it The desk was not concerned how my experience was at check out, I don’t see why they would be concerned about yours either

Cliff Welch

Did not have a room but we had the top floor rinse it out and they Supply the bar staff and servers This is one of those places that I want you to believe they are very swanky but it is only by appearance, the bar staff and servers actually more jeans and head there button down shirts with the shirt tail out or partially out I had dietary restrictions and I was hoping to get the same thing as the children got in the party and they told me no and would not even ask to see if what they gave the kids was available

The skyline from the top floor is outstanding and that would be the only reason I would even think about this hotel but I would never think of this hotels to stay at, I would think that it is about as overpriced as it could possibly be Fake fancy is not something that I appreciate Two and a half Stars would be more accurate only because the view was outstanding but if everything else I remember about this hotel is below average, that should tell you everything

Shayna Petit

This hotel is truly amazing, from the building, to the location, the rooms, the ambiance, and the staff I stayed at the Ace Brooklyn on a road trip from Detroit with my dog The experience of the stay was great even from before booking when I called to make sure it was okay to bring my very large dog–they are super dog friendly and it showed as soon as we got there! The staff was incredible and made my dog and me feel like we were home

I especially loved the night front desk staff; they were so friendly and even gave me great parking advice (it was super easy to park for free on the street by the way)! The vibe of the rooms and the common areas is so hip but also inviting I loved the design of the rooms and how they were super thoughtfully planned, right down to the light switch controls (which allowed dimming on all light fixtures and also the ability to turn all lights off at once by the bed AND front door) The furnishings are gorgeous, the bed and pillows are remarkably comfortable, and the room even had a turntable to play music As a sustainability professional, I really appreciated the local, vintage, and small business sourcing for furniture and other furnishingsOne of the best parts of the room is the shower as well! I wanted to take it home with me It’s gorgeously designed but also the quality and water pressure are greatThis is my go-to from now on when I come to NYC I already have my next stay booked in February for my friends’ wedding! My dog and I both were in love with this hotel and enjoyed our stay thoroughly

Ollie B

The staff was terrific! Geneva and Sergio were very accommodating and super friendly Lets not forget Mike who helped with our baggage and getting a car after my Lyft cancelled

The Loft was amazing and with a great view and yummy treats The decor was not the usual chain hotel variety Modern and artistic I loved it! I only wish I was staying more then 1 nightThank you for helping to make my stay a memorable one

Don Blake

The Ace Hotel in Brooklyn was a good short stay for us The room was clean and surprisingly quiet The staff was courteous and polite at both check in and when we checked out

The location of the Ace Hotel Brooklyn is fairly good Close to Downtown and the Barkley Center The in room snack bar was simple stuff and way overpriced considering Bodegas are on every other corner All in all a good short stay

Stayed here 15 nights I feel like I’ve run into pretty much every single personnel since my stay was long (manager, front desk staff, housekeepers, diningroom staff, and even the maintenance/garbage handlers) Got to have that rare experience where every single person was polite and helpful

Sure, the building has some wear and tear but if you’re looking for the most bang for the buck at a friendly, well-run, and superbly clean hotel, this is absolutely the place to go

Karen White

The beds were clean, towels clean and abundantThe floors were stained and even after a vacuum request, the floor still needed cleaning in bedroom and bathThe front desk staff were wonderful as was the breakfast room staff

The breakfast room was clean and well stocked with full breakfast

Elvira Elvira

Stayed here 7 nights- bed was very comfy- cleanliness could be improved

– breakfast was great- excessive noise, we could hear neighbour’s TV, not sound proof, hear everything- the neighbourhood does not seem to be safe, a specially at night

All of the positive reviews are spot on!! We were kindly greeted immediately by Sasha Super helpful, friendly and accommodating Our room was beautiful

Small, like most others have stated, but it is New York We felt very safe having to use our key to get on the elevator, which is important to us having 2 small kids The breakfast was delicious, so many options (again, important with kids😉) They offered my kids coloring sheets during breakfast and were so kind and patient with them I wish we had more time to spend in the city because we would have loved to stay at this hotel longer We will definitely be back!! I also met the most lovely person-a traveling nurse, that was the sweetest We talked to the bartenders, Laura and Luis, which were also so very kind Thank you all for your wonderful hospitality Probably the best hotel experience we’ve ever had!!

Montana

On the day I arrived, I landed way before check in time The women at the front desk were so incredibly pleasant and kept my things safe, directed me to coffee/tea + a space to work while I waited They got me checked in the moment my room was cleaned

The room was well equipped and incredibly clean The staff was pleasant throughout the entire stay The area feels safe, there’s space for ride share drop off, and plenty of food/shopping in the area via walk or delivery I will be back very soon with family and cancelled a reservation at another location to come back here Great stay

Marissa Collins

There’s a lot to like about this hotel and a few caveats The rooms are clean and as big as you can expect in the city What they don’t have is the normal hotel informational binder that tells you about amenities, or any pen and paper if you need to leave a note

The bathroom was clean as a whistle, but the shower mechanism is really strange Because it has more than 360° of motion, gravity will often force it to “seek” the 6 o’clock position, making the water much hotter than you want The mattresses are good but the pillows are lousy (consider bringing your own)The Honors app is super snazzy and I loved not having to worry about a key The complementary breakfast was pretty good, though of course it gets very crowded at peak times The conference center bathrooms need paper towels (all they have are those awful Dyson Blade dryers)The front desk staff is uniformly lovely The bar staff was also great — they were terribly kind to my young children when they came down to get a bar food menuIf you’re up for a long walk, get down to the Brooklyn Bridge Park IncredibleI would absolutely stay here again

One of the best kept secrets of NYC, but not among the military At least I hope not! It does fill up during weekends and peak season, so book early And call at 6pm to see if there’s a cancelation

before you book at NYC prices elsewhere! And when you stay, hot breakfast is there for you in the AM But tip the lady (usually it’s a lady) who takes care of that for you! 🤑 Just like you should for the cleaning team when you checkout of the room They all work pretty hard for not much money A couple of dollars in a tip ain’t gonna hurt you 😉

Nicholas Paavola

The hotel is nice, but extremely hard to find Highly recommend the hotel put instructions on their site to aid in finding the entrance To find the entrance put in the intersection of Fort Hamilton Parkway and 101st into your map app

Once through the entrance of Ft Hamilton take the first left Amenities on post, to include dining, are very limited so plan ahead or plan go off post

Edward Harrison

This Holliday Inn provided great customer service (which I am big on)! They helped us with directions around the area, accommodations around the hotel, parking and the whole nine yards The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable They also provided a roll away bed for our convienceince

They offer snacks and food for the rooms right in the main lobby There is even a commissary and PX right behind the hotel in walking distance (3-5 min) The hotel is located about 15 minutes from the train station so you can easily get to NYC attractions Overall great place to visit the city and fairly priced

We got married in Brooklyn on October 1 and had our bridal party and various family members stay here We also stayed the rest of the weekend after the wedding It was amazing! The rooms are stunning! We enjoyed going to the rooftop bar on Thursday night – the ambience was perfect, the drinks were great and the waitress was so sweet

Everyone had an amazing time The staff upgraded our room after the wedding so we were able to stay in the executive suite It was clean, smelled fresh in the room and we didn’t hear our neighbors at all! Sunday we walked to dumbo and explored the flea market and the walk was so convenient We will definitely choose it again when we returnThe only downside is we heard cars beeping and ambulances at all hours of the night – but hey, that’s NY for you

So the first red flag was the fact that I made my reservation for a king bed room about a month in advance A few days prior they informed me that they didn’t have any available and had to bump me to a room with two double beds The options were to take the double bed room or take a refund

Now being as though it was only a two days before my trip I did not really have a choice I expected at least an apology or complimentary something During check-in I asked about it just to double check and they basically brushed me off saying there was a group who took up all the king bed rooms No apology or anything Then the room It was very small and underwhelming for spending over $500 The furniture looked worn There was a big stain on the actual mattress The shower did not close so water went everywhere and only one water spout worked even though there were two present There was a sock underneath one of the beds which did not belong to me so that lets me know they do not clean thoroughly The walls are very thin and you can hear everything from the room next door and the hallway There were guests running up and down the hallways up until 6am and no one from the hotel staff came up to tell them to stop My boyfriend had to go out in the hall to scare them away for them to stop We called and they said they would send up security but it was too late by then The doors do not close on their own So if you let it go it will remain cracked which is a security issue I definitely would not stay here again or recommend it

I will definitely be staying at this hotel everytime I come back to Brooklyn The view from our room was amazing and the room was exceptional as well The staff was super friendly

I loved the shower and the hotel as a club/restaurant inside as well I loved the room we stayed in because you can open the window and hear at night The lights at night in Brooklyn are breathtaking I am into dirt bikes so seeing these on the streets in packs was exciting to me and I love to hear the sounds of the quads and bikes

As someone who lives in the city some of the reviews are a bit over the top and exaggerated Yes it’s a bit iffy but nothing out of the normBed was very comfy, staff were great, breakfast was pretty good, fitness center was surprisingly good just wish they had a barbell outside of that actually really great stay definitely don’t mind coming back here again

Check in and check out was quick and everything was quite Some of the furniture were a bit rough and a bit stained but overall 8/10

Goutham Ganesh

Stayed for a week here and had a great time!Breakfast included If you are lucky you could get a room with a beautiful view of the Queensboro bridge

If you want to park your car you may have to book it in advance as it gets sold out pretty quick and also very few parking spaces are available Also the parking space is a bit congested so if you are bringing an SUV just be careful!

Joachim Roshan

Good place to stay in Queens if you are trying to save some bucks for your budget friendly trip Room was between ‘Okayish’ and ‘Good’ Had a tough time with the shower curtain in the bathroom as it didn’t help to keep the water from splashing outside

This place has parking lot for a nightly charge of $25 and it wasn’t that comfortable to park our car

The location gets 5/5, love the area Water and parks nearby, lots of restaurants, bars and activities in the neighborhoodThe Hotel gets 3/5, nice interior and very stylish

The room was small, but nice A little bit dusty on the shelves and floors, the shower head on the wall was loose The doors to the rooms sounds very loud when they close, so be ready to wake up to the sound of slamming doors from 7am Would have appreciated if they had a little more to choose from at the bar in the lobby, and if you could get your cappuccino in a actual cup instead of in a take away paper cupStaff/Customer service gets 1/5 One guy was super friendly, but the rest that we met at the front desk and at the bar in the lobby should definitely get a different jobWe will stay at a different hotel next time

Robert Walker

A wonderful hotel in the heart of Williamsburg We stayed as a small family for a few nights over winter break We used to live nearby until we moved upstate and it was nice to be back and have the comforts of the hotel

Only downside was that a lot of non hotel guests use the main lobby as a workspace leaving the guests paying for rooms no where to work outside of the room A great addition for guests would be the ability to reserve a spot to work during the day

Danyel Lawson

Different and cheap and clean with modern aesthetic Compact but well thought out rooms with no closets but hooks and shelves and even a storage box and a rack to hang your clothes Tech friendly outlets and USB ports all over the room

No tubs The Manhattan skyline views are definitely worth it if you can get a room on that side Great neighborhood to do anything The new NYC Ferry is close by and the street the hotel is on has restaurants and shops in every direction and is a block from the East River The entrance is downstairs and through a bar, coffee shop, and dining area with a lounge with a fireplace

I’m a faithful Marriott customer, so they’re first on my list when it comes to travel accommodations I know NYC hotels can be “different “, so I’m not rating thatThe room is a decent size

We were told housekeeping is every other day No big deal to me Although, I personally prefer a third set of towels in the room There is a mini fridge in the room, so we kept water and drinks on hand We were on the 4th floor, which is pretty much street level So, yeah more traffic noise than what I wantedThe common area is beautiful and quite thoughtful There are tables to eat, sofas to relax, and games That’s a plusThe hotel is across the street from a park We had to walk to 4th Ave and beyond for eats It’s not too far, but finding quick eats was a choreOverall, it’s a good value

Sarah S

Very nice hotel that actually has parking If you need a spot, arrive early Every employee was so friendly and helpful!!! Very nicely remodeled hotel

Rooms are nice size The bathroom was a nice size and also remodeled The Barclay Center is in walking distance I believe it was a full hotel but was quiet The hotel has a roof top bar that will open soon The view from the rooftop is amazing You can see the Freedom Tower and The Statue of Liberty! Just awesome! The breakfast in everything you need for the morning We would definitely go back to this hotel If you found this helpful, please like the post

Zachary Carter

Stayed for 6 nights Staff was nice Rooms were small

Did not get room service one single night As soon as it hits 5 AM, you can hear the trash trucks stopping and going at the stop light and it’s very loud The elevator bank is next to many rooms and you can hear it clanking at everyfloor Just a very bland experience of what could have been pretty decent

Clean hotel with free breakfast every morning and inexpensive snacks in case you get the munchies The staff members were super friendly and accommodating and the room was clean and modern The room itself compared to a lot of Marriott’s we’ve stayed in, just on the smaller side

Great beds and furnitureIt’s only about a 10 minute walk to Coney Island Beach but the walk was a little sketchy, especially at night due to the businesses nearby It’s located in an industrial areaOverall it was a good stay!

Stayed in a room with 2-full beds The room felt crammed even so the space was used well with a mini fridge and a work space area The free parking is a great amenity considering parking comes at a high premium in NY

The hotel is located in an industrial area which in part explains the price It was about a 15 minute walk to Coney Island Beach however to get there you have to take a walk down “Auto Garage Row” which was a little on the sketchy side walking at night Definitely worth the price

We have been on the road for more than a month and this is our 9th hotel on the road, the staff are by far the most earnest, genuinely friendly and helpful, from the front desk, cleaning crew and the breakfast lady The room is quite tight for 4 people, the gym has 1 treadmill and 1 bike in a small room No microwave in the room, no coin operated laundry machine

Cleaner cleaned the room daily and very friendly Breakfast has enough variety but quite tight at certain corners 2 train stations each 10 and 20 mins walk, the hotel is at the end of road in the automobil repair zone, plenty of workmen in the day time, not pretty but not dangerous either The hotel has many big spotlights lit outside their premise in the evening to help with visibility

I had a quick overnight stay at NU Hotel Brooklyn and found it to be a clean and pleasant experience The front desk was very friendly and attentive The room was spacious and well equipped for my needs (including a Keurig)

I was given a free upgrade to a king room which put me at the end of the hallway and on the backside of the building, which was nice and quiet The mattress wasn’t my favorite because I am used to memory foam at home (this was a traditional spring mattress from what I could tell) However it was firm and the linens were niceThe hotel’s location was perfect for my stay and is very close to Atlantic AvenueThe breakfast was convenient and included bagels, yogurt, juice and coffee, as well as cerealI plan to stay here again!

The rooms are a good size You don’t hit your legs on the bed as soon as you walk in the door There’s an arm chair with a small coffee table too

The bed is very low to the ground Seems a good idea for people with disabilities The only issue I had was getting out of bed My feet hit the floor way before I expected them too That woke me up The bathroom is well lit and includes a makeup mirror I like that there is a shelf above the sink The window unit is both AC and heat It works really well They provide a yoga mat too

I could only rate this stay as a 2-star experience The hotel itself has a cool vibe, is visually appealing and is in a wonderful location Checking in was easy, and I had high expectations as the reviews online were great

Unfortunately, my wife and I found dirty wet towels from previous guests shoved in a corner of the shower The situation was handled poorly When presented with the issue, Abigail at the front desk did absolutely nothing- aside from a shrug, then pointing at a place to drop the bag I received a blank stare as if it were my problem to deal withThere is a short list of requirements for a hotel to be successful; hospitality and cleanliness ranking at the top I understand that mistakes happen, like a few gross towels left behind by housekeeping We are all human What is not acceptable, and the only reason I’m writing this review, is how the front desk attendant handled the situation I bagged the dirty towels in our ice bucket liner and brought them downstairs at almost 1am, only to receive neither an apology or thank you Either response would have been the bare minimum I have to question if Abigail simply does not understand the requirements of her position, representing a 3-star hotel in a major destination like Brooklyn, NY Possibly she just does not careAside from this unfortunate interaction, the stay has been enjoyable

My husband and I had a wonderful time at the Wyndham Garden Brooklyn Sunset Park The property is very well lite and easy to find We had a very pleasant check in and the room was very clean

The night clerk INSISTED on seeing photo ID for my 14-year-old son

He said NO GUEST CAN GO UPSTAIRS WITHOUT A PHOTO IDThis was news to meI went to my room and tried to find an alternative place to stay My son was stressed out I was tired from the drive We couldn’t believe this nonsense I looked for other hotel options and called friends to see if we could sleep over — not an easy thing to do during a pandemicAfter three hours we gave up and my son was a stow-away in a room I paid $300 for We canceled our evening plans and had to hole up in the room Instead of a relaxing visit, the evening was soured by a rude bureaucrat who thinks children carry photo identificationThe following morning a helpful desk clerk clarified that the photo ID rule does not apply to anyone under 18 Tell that to the night clerkotherwise: nice room, good water pressure

This is a great place if you are visiting Brooklyn on business It is convenient to many subway and bus lines The place is very clean, comfortable, bright and cheerful and the neighborhood is busy, diverse and safe

It is not a destination resort It is a great place to plug in your laptop, enjoy a pleasant view, have a good breakfast, and get to work

I had past a fantastic vacation in W hotel, thanks to the view and great staff3 subways station and more are close to the W We are a front of the One Word Trade Center, Oculus and Memorial

Very good emplacement and quiet placeOne problem, my room was not very clean, under my bedside table I found bottle and Starbucks cup That all

Crimson Legacy

Absolutely wonderful location, helpful staff, beautiful interior, unique vibes, and very clean and well-maintained rooms Amazing views of World Trade Center OneThe only downside was no mini fridge so we had to use the ice bucket to try to keep a couple drinks cold at a time

The staff at the front desk at all times of day and night were wonderfulTIP IF STAYING HERE: This is no longer a “W” hotel and has lost its association with Marriott It is now a “Washington” Go to where the “The Washington” light is projected on the sidewalk, walk in the automated doors, then go up the elevators next to the bar Take them to the 5th floor That is where the lobby is Hope that’s helpful

Camilo Baratto

Not great While I knew it was not the “W” you realize quickly there is lots of make-up behind a regular sub par hotel No hand soap while I stayed there and nothing to substitute it

Finally I managed to negotiate body wash (facepalm) While in NYC one would appreciate baggage storage… none availableA hotel management graduate is desperately needed at this establishmentWhile reception is nice and try their best, the staff have no clue what industry they are operating You can tell quickly that the lack of re-investment will make this place obsoleteVer disappointed, lugging my carry on for 3 hours until I catch my flight Was looking forward to biking around but this hotel has made this impossible
