This facility is not very clean The hallways were warm, musty, and smelled like cigarettes Our room, while generally clean, had a hole in the ceiling plugged with a towel

When we showed the front desk they moved us to another roomWhich had a giant cockroach in it! The front desk staff were so kind, but my husband and I decided to leave without even staying the night Additionally, we were told that cleaning staff would not be coming to our room so we should check in at the front desk for towels? Very odd experience Would not recommend until major changes are implemented regarding cleaning standards

Kristin Pridgen

I booked this hotel for a last minute overnight stay The hotel lobby was nice, but the rest of the hotel was very outdated and needed repairs The a/c in the fitness center didn’t work-at all

The hallways were dark (this is an aesthetic opinion) and smelled musty and like old cigarettes The room itself emphasized the updates that are needed The shower had mold along the caulking and was very dated Also, the clean(?) towels and towel rack were located INSIDE the shower I’ve never seen that before Lastly, I’m not sure if my room was even cleaned before I checked in There were coffee(?) stains on the wall I was thankful this was a short, one-night reservation; otherwise, I would have cancelled my stay

Sherer

Normally I have nothing but great things to say but last stay there was food left over from someone else in our fridge and coffee cup rings still on the sink I get short staffing so didn’t say anything but still a bit gross However the staff is super friendly and very welcoming

and having a Sheetz right across the road is nice and it’s close to the Ritz which is where we normally go when we stay in Charlotte Pillows are super tiny is really my only complaint

Clean and spacious 2-Queen suite for our family of 4 Good wifi Friendly and courteous staff

AM breakfast was an added plus to our stay Although there were plenty of restaurants in the area it was nice to curb that cost and effort to eat at the hotel Our family was satisfied with the selection and quality of food not to mention the cleanliness of the dining area If our family was back in this area we would undoubtedly stay at this location again

I guess everyone has there own experience So I was in town and decided to go with this hotel Stayed for extended amount of time

I think the hotel cleaning ladies felt some type of way about not being able to clean our room when they wanted Was told I would have to schedule to have it clean and because I never did it sure they felt some kind of way They would knock on my door randomly for no reason and disappear The stay at the front was a 2 out of 5 as well They had someone young and new that wasn’t very helpful and confused me with my initial reservations over the phone and I just wanted everything to be clear upon my arrival Of course that wasn’t the case and everything was confusing and wasn’t close to what I thought I would be paying I paid 1300$ for my stay I was then made aware of the young ladies mistake and confusion by an older woman with glasses, that seem to be a manager as well There was a third person at the front that wasn’t the most pleasant and was never around at night time whenever I needed something or returned back to the hotel at night There was barely ever anyone present for the entire week I stayed here Then he made me feel uncomfortable for asking for towel or anything he would also be sleep in the back room Caught him a couple times when I would come down in need of a towels or tissue He would never give me what I would ask for exactly, and I would always have to settle for his attitude of some sort as if I was bothering him He jumped out of the back room one time eyes 👀 looking sleepy and red and was startled by my presence Ever since then it seemed like I did something wrong I don’t know I’m not trying to make a BIG deal here but I am definitely BIG on customer service and would appreciate it if I could definitely speak with the OWNER of this establishment There is definitely plenty more to my experience I would love to share with you and speak to you personally about! Thanks I guess

We were in town for a wedding, so decided to stay at this property as it had a pool and included breakfastWell, the pool was closed on day 1 as someone had opened a bubble bottle, so the hotel staff was cleaning it (not the hotel’s fault)When I was checking in, I had few questions but, was asked to have patience as the Front Desk Staff could not multi-taskThe breakfast was edible, but nothing great

no bagelsI requested extra towels and was provided the towels from the swimming areaUnless I have no choice, I may not prefer to stay here againOn a positive note1) The property is new and looks modern2) The hotel next door (managed by the same company) allowed us to use their pool

I booked a room for just me and my husband Friendly and amazing staff Great stopping point if heading down to Florida from northeast

Rooms are clean, updated and comfortable Dog friendly, I didn’t have a dog with me but the dogs that were there were super cute I could hear screaming kids from the hallway but in the rooms, it was silent so great sound proofing so you don’t have to worry if your kids are being too loud/ worried that you won’t sleep because there’s a family next door Great hotel for the price Designated smoking areas around back with benches, which was nice Highly recommend for anyone! 😄

Regina Curry

My children and I lived at this hotel for several months while I was looking for a permanent residence The staff is very attentive and the rooms are beautiful They took care of every problem that came up during our stay and they did it quickly

Every staff member worked with a smile and were so nice that they started to feel like family I was very impressed with them and the hotel is very clean

Charles Santee

I called the hotel and asked about my truck and trailer and if the would accept 3 dogs I told them my trailer was 34ft long attached to a truck and I have 3 German shepherds The said yes they accept dogs and that there is plenty of room to park

So I booked a 6 week stay It was not a pleasant check in to start the stay Got in the hotel and the kitchen trash cans were still filled with trash Thursday of the first week they asked me to park out on the street I told them that there is no parking on the street that it was illegal to do so with streets that do not have parking So we told them we would check out Sunday and they got rude and told us we had 3 dogs and that was not allowed I told them well I’m checking out Sunday so they don’t have to deal with it that long In the process they have a private dive for the dumpster where we parked it for Friday night per our agreement Then took pictures of a empty lot for Friday and Saturday Which you will see on Saturday where there was plenty of space to park my truck and trailer If you are a contractor with big trucks this hotel will be the worst place to pick

Christopher Southerland

This Fairfield property is amazing! Very welcoming and friendly staff The room was clean and comfortable The breakfast was also excellent and the lady that worked in the kitchen area was super sweet! I’m a Marriott Elite member and was definitely treated like one

My only complaint was that certain patrons did not used the gloves that were provided at the breakfast buffet Some people just will not follow the rules!

Chris Smith

Very clean and modern! Checked in last minute because we didn’t want to drive home last night Room was spacious, bathroom was very clean Toiletries were great and plentiful

We had a room with the view of trees so it was nice and quiet One negative thing is the second door lock did not work, but we were too tired to bother with it The staff were very friendly and accommodating Quiet rooms, and they have a little shop for water, sodas and other various things after a night outBreakfast was a bit chaotic though The lady running the breakfast station needs a raise if she hasn’t already had one lol she was handling the rush very well and keeping her cool even when guests were rude about the lack of food available They must not have realized she was the only one there running a hotel breakfast buffet I’m sure there is just staffing issues but there should really be at least two people minimum in my opinion Food was hot and actually very tasty! Overall we would recommend this hotel to anyone we know Bravo

T. Peppers

I knew from the moment we walked in and were greeted we would have a good stay We walked in around 8 pm

exhausted from a 4 hour drive and traffic however the young man at the desk was very welcoming and accommodating He explained everything from the breakfast to the pool and even offered us fresh cookies he had bakedI always request a room on a higher floor and away from the elevator and we received that The room was very clean and the beds were comfortable Safety was not a concern for me because there are 3 hotels that really share a parking lot and it’s well lit There’s also restaurants in the area that you can get to very quickly The lobby was clean and the breakfast area was clean and good for a grab and go

My handicap room was below my standards The bed had no bed skirt The bathroom had hair on the commode and in the shower

Asked for a room clean, but I did not get it The next morning got ready to take a shower and there was no hot water I had to wash up in the sink When we checked out my husband reported our issues and all we got was a “I’m sorry” To top everything off, my husband was asked for his debit card instead of the credit card that was used to secure the room I did not understand why I filled out a survey and did not hear one word from them

I called in to get some hotel information and Ms Trina was a great help She was very clear, friendly and got the job completedWhen I arrived I was greeted by Ms Kim

She had to fix an issue with the reservation which was for a king bed not a doubleWhen I got to the room I pulled out the sofa bed because it was right across from the king bed Which I had never seen positioned like that before Usually the sofa bed is to the left or right side with a small wall separating the two areas The pulled out sofa bed was almost kissing the king bed, with very little room to walk through Which was not a good setup I found out it was a handicapped room, however it just wasn’t a good fit for me I requested a new room and Mr Jim took me to a room on the fourth floor by some kind of machinery room at the end of the hallAfter setting up in the new room, which had a normal king bed and sofa bed setup I heard a loud noise kind of like a garage door opening If you are a light sleeper I would not recommend this roomThe air conditioning in the room was positioned about a foot away from the king bed This made it freezing by one side of the bed and the rest of the room was still warm However there was a fan over by the kitchen area close to the sofa bed Which I put on highBecause I already changed rooms I didn’t want to drag everyone through that againThe staff were great and friendly starting with Kim, then Jim Later I spoke with Ava, Darryl who greeted me while in the lobby, was friendly and gave me helpful information during the evening and Amal I enjoyed the pool and hot tub and breakfastThe very unique thing about this location was the elite member spin wheel, that should be a fun game at other hotels I appreciate the customer service they all provided

Ingrid Lovon (Ingrid L.)

The best thing about the hotel was the staff They were all very friendly The hotel was aware that there were 5 guests, yet we only had 3 sets of towels

The sofa was filthy in my opinion I had to cover it with a sheet; it was disgusting There were no hand soap and the small bottle of body wash was only 1/4 filled so it was finished on day 1 They didn’t clean our room for the three nights we stayed We booked for 6 days, but end up canceling 3 days We had to request for toilet paper and soap I am not sure why they called what they offered hot breakfast It reminded me of school pre-packaged breakfast I was beyond disappointed

Complete Renovation Is Desperately NeededI use to stay here often before and during covid I returned after covid and was completely disappointedThis place has turned into a hotel where all the construction workers stay

The place also needs a complete renovation everything is old and outdated This place still has the first look of the Springhill Suites lookThe elevators are old and I thought I was going to get stuck a few times The ice machines doesn’t work on all floors This place has an odor on every floor Also most of Marriott property’s has the streaming system on the TV’s, not this place The room I stayed in mattress need to be replaced one side has sunk down My room also had mismatched furniture I was just disappointed and disgustedI honestly can’t believe this property is still under the Marriott brand Definitely disappointing to members that spend alot of money with the brandThis definitely will be my last stay at this property These old properties are over priced and definitely not worth it This property is more like a no to one star rating in my opinion

The hotel staff worked tirelessly during my stay and went above and beyond with any problem that could be rectified

The room was clean but not the bathroom The water was not hot for my shower The breakfast service was subpar:hot food was cold; not much choice

My partner arrived before I did & received one key Once I arrived, I asked for a key and the lady at the front desk informed me that I had “e-checked-in” I had not

She asked me how I knew my room number if I had not “e-checked-in”, in which I proceeded to tell her that my partner had already checked-in (he told me the rm #), but he only received one key I had to ask for a key 3 times before she gave me one (after showing id) The lady did not inform me of breakfast, any amenities or the check-out timeAs a Diamond status member have have the ability to do late check-out, in which we wanted to do We called the front desk & was told we had until 1230 (typically we would have a much later time than this)I value hospitality and great customer service- unfortunately we did not receive it here

Great, clean, convenient hotel close to the airport Would suggest having a car to get around as it is not walking distance from area restaurants but definitely a short car ride away from plenty of options Clean room that could use some upgrades

Safe neighborhood Friendly, helpful staff Free breakfast offering multiple options for almost any diet or picky eater in your group Reasonably priced for the location and amenities provided Would stay here again and reccomend

Anna Parker

The price for this hotel was affordable! However, I did read the reviews and knew what I was getting myself into but it was a last minute booking I gave it 3 stars because the front desk staff is very unprofessional – not well kept appearance, outfit or attitude/tone Secondly, there was a trail of ants near the elevators

Elevators were very old, creaky, and unreliable You could hear it shaking and making odd noises I refused to use it again – I just took the stairs The rooms were not bad It was very spacious (one of the biggest hotel rooms I’ve seen, actually) It was outdated and fairly clean One thing I didn’t like was I smelled marijuana in the hallway The plugs attached to the lamp did not work so I had to move the side tables away from the wall to use the wall plug I saw a dead roach-like bug behind it, dust and a blue lighter? The comforter had a big rip in it and was just a bare duvet The window had some debris on it – maybe caulk or window sealant? I’m not sure but there was a crack in between the windows so outside air was coming inOverall, I did not have a bad experience here I just do not think it’s very clean or kept up often I refused to walk on the floors barefoot and didn’t feel comfortable taking a shower I just felt icky here Read your reviews before booking anywhere

John Silva

The hotel and rooms need updating and a thorough cleaning I killed a worm like bug in the bathroom upon entry to my room, but the bed and sheets were clear The in room coffeee maker does not work, my sink does not drain properly and the shower head only receives half of the water while the rest of it comes out of the shower faucet

The location is convenient for work, but I will not be staying here again

Oh boy! What a place this is! My husband surprised me with a stay here for our anniversary! This hotel EXCEEDED my expectations! From the front desk staff (5/2/22- sorry I don’t remember names but there’s the date so they can be recognized if they worked that day), to the waitress Maya in the restaurant to the wonderful sweet housekeeper (5/3/22) that waited outside our room at checkout to give us more time! I mean it was amazing! I’m a Marriott girl but The Mayton is my new spot for sure The complimentary bikes for rent are a cute touch that we enjoyed using The rooms were clean and spacious! Room service the next morning was hot and speedy as well! I can’t say enough about this place! We can’t wait to return!

Josh Tomczak

Such a gorgeous hotel! Everything here is just luxury!!! I took a small tour of the building and every moment was unforgettable! Every room is very fancy inside, so I think you will enjoy your stay! The rooms are a bit pricey, but I think it’s worth every penny! If you are looking to stay in Downtown Cary, this is the place to go to! I would 100% recommend this place!

Jonah Bishop

Decent hotel, though not what I was expecting Online, this place exudes a boutique hotel vibe In person, it felt like we were at any given chain hotel

Our room had noticeable dust on the walls, which was random One of the towel hooks in the bathroom was also broken The room has a “noise masking” (white noise) feature, but the loudest setting was still surprisingly quiet We were disappointed by this, as the noise from the restaurant down below was considerable during the evening There are hardwoods throughout the place, which makes it a little noisier than other hotels I’ve stayed in Breakfast at the restaurant was good, though pricey Parking is a trick, though you likely know that going into it (parking in downtown Cary isn’t great in general) Overall, I’m not sure I would recommend this hotel to my friends or family It’s not a horrible place by any stretch, just not great

Rerouting Pleasure House Rd creates issues getting in and out of Airgate Dr Once you’ve navigated it, it isn’t too bad but the navigation systems (at least mine) have not caught up with the change

Otherwise it is a convenient location to the airport, Brier Creek shopping and highways (I40 and 540) to take you anywhere They also provide an airport shuttle which is very much appreciatedRooms are clean and comfortable Staff is helpful and attentiveBreakfast is adequate with hot and cold options along with juices, coffee and teaI have been using this hotel for many years and will continue to do so

We actually did not end up staying here We had a reservation for 3 nights and when we arrived, we were dissatisfied with the room and checked out The rooms are just very run-down

Our room had an odd smell to it, the carpet had lumpy spots throughout, the heater made a loud noise when running, bed and pillows were VERY worn Also, there was a hole in the door to the bathroom Overall, just not worth spending money to stay here, in my opinionI will say the staff was VERY friendly and made it simple/easy to cancel our reservation I was very thankful for that I just wish they would use some money to renovate throughout

This hotel is in a very good area surrounded by great places to eat and shop The hotel is clean, has a lot to offer The only reason why I did not give it a 5 star is because I feel the Junior Suite was very dark, especially in the living room area, and the housekeeping staff was very slow in providing things that were missing from the room

Other then that, the staff was very friendly, breakfast was very good We really enjoyed our stay and will return in the future

The hotel was very clean and the front staff was very professional She was super helpful in getting a room ready for me for early check in I wanted to get in the room early to decorate the room to surprise my hubby for his birthday

The room was clean and spacious The location of the hotel was great as well since it is close to shopping area with many eateries We had a nice time and will come back

I understand that Covid has changed business practices, but sometimes the changes are not acceptable

I stayed at The Cary Hilton 4/14, 4/15, 4/16/2022 After not receiving housekeeping the first night, I was surprised but thought maybe they changed to everyother day Nope After the second night, the housekeeper was in the hall outside of my room, so I requested housekeeping She would not provide it because I was not on her list After the third night I intended to extend my reservation for another night, so I asked the front desk about the housekeeping policy I was told I needed to request it directly from them I requested housekeeping, and was told that they could not accommodate the request So in summary, I stayed 3 nights at a well reviewed supposedly nice hotel that makes no effort to clean the rooms or accommodate guests requestsIt’s extra annoying because they have a sign in the elevator that says customer satisfaction is their top priority, so ask if you need anything This is paraphrased , but contextually correctIf you want a normal hotel experience avoid this hotel If you want housekeeping, avoid this hotel If you gave up and are willing to pay too much for inadequate service, then good luck here

This hotel is very charming and in a beautiful location There are trails surrounding the hotel, and I love the covered bridge you drive under to enter The main lobby is cozy and welcoming

Additionally the staff was extremely friendly and accommodating I needed to lay my baby down for a nap and they let me have an unusually late check-out and didn’t make me feel guilty for asking My only drawback was our room wasn’t very well kept up and a little dirty (the bottom of the tub was brown) Other than that I really enjoyed our stay

It is even difficult where to start The room was like a cave So dark that we needed to have the lights on all the time

Old, bad maintained furniture Filthy, if you want it to be cleaned you had to call one day in advance Cleaning by the way was poor It was still dirty and sticky after cleaning Stinky room like if we were at La Quinta The toilet clogged and there was huge centipedes coming out from the sink The pillows where minimal, difficult to sleep The experience was so bad that I checked out one day in advance But Hilton charged the full five nights anyway

Very upscale place Rooms seem a little outdated but still very nice Place was clean as a top and for as busy as it was, very quiet and peaceful

Tucked away in a quiet location and the surrounding outdoor area was pleasant Pool/chill area outside was top notch Staff very freindly and helpful I will be coming back next time I visit the area

The hotel was good, but the most I loved about the hotel was the breakfast and employee Fatima This hotel should be proud to have an employee like that She was so nice

Greeted me, helped me get my breakfast together, talked to me, and while I was eating my breakfast, I noticed how she took care of each person that came in What a sweet person In our days it’s hard to find great employees She deserves a raise for caring so much about every guest Thank you, Fatima I will definitely be coming back for my future stays

Nice rooms Not the most modern fixtures, but that’s not an issue for me Rooms were clean and comfortable

As is normal at TownPlace Suites, rooms have a full kitchenStaff was friendly and helpful It is very close to the airport and several business campuses in the area All in all a good place to stay

shanequa bryant

The staff was pleasant Fatima was really nice BUT, the place has a musty smell

I left my clothes in the car I tried changing rooms but then the next room reeked of deodorizer Breakfast was typical The computer & printer actually worked After the week I had I wanted to comfortable for my 3 wk stay The smell was the biggest turnoff It was not what I had come to expect from Marriott

Our stay here was one of the best hotel stays I’ve had in a while! The staff; everyone from the front desk, to housekeeping, to facilities, were SO friendly and accommodating My husband had to work during our stay and the wifi was strong and there were plenty of little nooks to camp out in around the lobby when he wanted to leave the roomThe pool was HEAVEN for a toddler

Seriously, I would travel hundreds of miles for this pool It wore my kid out and I didn’t even have to get inEverything was clean and comfortable and the hotel smells amazing I’ll definitely be back when I’m in the area!

The rooms are nice, spacious and clean, we stayed for two nights The hotel staff was friendly Michelle, the manager is extremely nice and accommodate me for a one night stay after we tried to check in but was told all the rooms were sold out

Not sure how that could happen when we had a reservation Nevertheless, we were given a free night so it was ok The stay itself was anything but peaceful Constant jumping and running above our room the first night, then on night two screaming kids, loud TVs and running on the second night I dealt with both incidents for hours until I finally reached out to the hotel staff On night two of the loudness, I reached out to the staff at close to 10pm The staff came upstairs directly to the room that was making the noise on night two, so I appreciated that Although while lessened, they just turned up the TV extremely loud watching a movie until after midnight I just tried to fall asleep and eventually did Needless to say, it wasn’t an enjoyable or peaceful trip I used to enjoy staying here pre-pandemic Not so much now They are constantly booked to capacity it seems and I understand why, it’s in close proximity to a lot of places and walkable But, I can’t recommend this hotel because of the noise factor alone Either the walls are extremely thin or this hotel attracts very rude people Either way, I won’t be back Two stars for the staff
