Lady B is She Travels

One of the most amazing hotels that I have ever stayed in!! The decor is so beautiful and it truly makes you feel like you are in an Italian Villa The staff is wonderful, Alix and all of the ladies and gents at the front desk took great care of us The housekeeping staff was also so friendly when we passed them in the hallways

The room was amazing, clean and the entire hotel is immaculate I love the marble shower and Juliette balcony They offer a bar and restaurant downstairs, we did not try those amenities but heard great thingsThere is a nice sitting area in front of the hotel but because of the pollen levels, we chose not to sit out A few extras: There are umbrellas for guest use at the lobby doors, they also have fresh fruit infused water available for guests in the afternoon, complimentary coffee available in the morning, extra towels, two robes and disinfecting wipes in the guest roomThe Siena is a jewel in the heart of Chapel Hill and it’s worth the experience if you pass through that area

Cameron Baker

We had a fantastic time at the Siena HotelThe front desk staff were the stars of the showThey did everything in their power to make our stay as pleasant as possible

The rooms were clean and super comfortableRestaurant servers were attentive and always quick with the coffee refillsRoom service left in the hallways wasn’t cleared away Very quickly but that’s a small thing

Teresa

One of my favorite hotels that I’ve ever stayed at and I can’t believe it’s in North Carolina The exterior is gorgeous, both in the daylight and at night The rooms have very modern decor and the glass showers make you feel like you are at a mini spa

The Italian restaurant is also very convenient and great I only wish I stayed less time in my room and more time exploring Chapel Hill

Stay away! So so Disappointing at $300 a night after taxes Was expecting a more boutique like property Given that they were fully booked, you think they could add a coffee service in the morning

The room’s AC was so loud had to sleep without it; no shampoo; very limited restaurant hours; bed linens felt very cheap and damp; the rug in my room in need of cleaning; my mattress was very oddly sunken in at one side No amenities or touches of a boutique hotel They are going for character but ultimately it’s kitschy and uncomfortableThe saving grace was the fabulous and professional staff, the prime location, and the clean and pretty lobbyFirst time in chapel hill – I Wish I had booked at the Carolina Inn I wouldn’t stay here or at a graduate property again It’s clear the graduate brand goes into distressed properties and gussies up a bit with decor without providing any real substance A bummer of an experience at 600$ for two nights

Alan Harlow

WOW! Amazingly fun, eclectic, unique hotel!!! What a surprise This was my first visit to Chapel Hill and the Graduate Hotel Although I researched the hotel’s website prior to arrival, I didn’t expect to have such a pleasant and fun one night stay

Upon arrival, once you enter the lobby, you will have an instant smile develop Although a small lobby, the decor, furnishings, art work, fireplace and the many interesting items make for the most unique arrival/registration experience Where else will you find an actual scoreboard (lights included, look for my photo!) being used as the front desk?? Naturally, with the hotel’s location so close to the university campus, the hotel has a distinctive sports theme throughout In fact, in the middle of a small atrium is a cute basketball court for kids with soft, fabric balls for use (see my photos!) All areas of the hotel were immaculate and well maintained My guestroom was spacious, cozy, comfortable and clean Comfy queen bed, large flat screen TV, mini refrigerator, safe, pencil, and old fashioned rotary telephone (really fun! If under 30 years of age, you won’t recognize it!) The bath was large with pretty retro wallpapers and wonderful, large, glass, walk in shower The restaurant was not open when I visited, but I did manage to take a look and snap photos It looked like a really cool place to meet and have a bit to eat Hopefully, I can experience the hotel’s restaurant on my next visit?!?! No need to worry about food here, even if the hotel’s restaurant is not open, as there are numerous restaurants and dining options, all within a short walk The hotel’s location is superb, located directly on Franklin Street Literally, just about any type of food or beverage you desire is close at hand Of course, there is shopping too! There is a very nice Target, just a few blocks from the hotel Finally, I totally loved the hotel, amenities and unique decor (I don’t know a name to call this type of decor, you must see it yourself!!) On top of all the fun and unique experiences here, once again it’s this hotel’s staff that ensures a solid 5 star rating! The staff associates here are simply amazing; courteous, helpful, professional and caring! Every single staff associate I encountered was friendly, smiled and spoke to me From the front desk staff to the housekeeping associates, kudos for making my stay so pleasant!! Without a doubt, the Graduate Hotel has my full recommendation I can’t imagine anyone leaving the hotel without a smile!! Check it out Enjoy!!

Sam Sletten

No coffee maker in room, no microwaves available in public areas, it seems that you need to go down to the front desk for ice, no clocks in room, no constant fan option on thermostat The thermostat screen shines like a flashlight for a long time after you use it, I had to drape a washcloth over the screen just to get the room dark enough to sleep inFront desk was nice enough and the fifth floor rooms have patios, but if you’re actually planning to spend time in your room then this is not a great option

I don’t think this hotel was designed by people with experience in the industry

Rerouting Pleasure House Rd creates issues getting in and out of Airgate Dr Once you’ve navigated it, it isn’t too bad but the navigation systems (at least mine) have not caught up with the change

Otherwise it is a convenient location to the airport, Brier Creek shopping and highways (I40 and 540) to take you anywhere They also provide an airport shuttle which is very much appreciatedRooms are clean and comfortable Staff is helpful and attentiveBreakfast is adequate with hot and cold options along with juices, coffee and teaI have been using this hotel for many years and will continue to do so

We actually did not end up staying here We had a reservation for 3 nights and when we arrived, we were dissatisfied with the room and checked out The rooms are just very run-down

Our room had an odd smell to it, the carpet had lumpy spots throughout, the heater made a loud noise when running, bed and pillows were VERY worn Also, there was a hole in the door to the bathroom Overall, just not worth spending money to stay here, in my opinionI will say the staff was VERY friendly and made it simple/easy to cancel our reservation I was very thankful for that I just wish they would use some money to renovate throughout

This is a wonderful little gem of a place to stay in Chapel Hill Tucked off the road and not right on the freeway Feels really safe, easy parking

Everything was easy The room was super comfortable with everything you need, and nicely decorated The breakfast was comparable or better than Hampton Inn Staff were gracious I was really delighted as a solo traveler at how much I liked this place

Jennifer Johnson

The location is convenient to a UNC Hospital related stay The breakfast options are varied and were as expected These are the positives

There were several issues in our handicapped accessible room that needed attention and proved to be unsatisfactoryThe bed is too high for a handicapped person to get in, especially a person with limited mobility The coffee maker is up so high that it’s barely reachable (I am 5 7 and a half) A wheelchair bound person or even a person of short stature would be unable to reach it The roller shade in the window was broken and falling down in one corner This left the room visible from the outside which was not acceptable given it is on the first floor The USB ports by the bedside were both broken and unusable The shower handle had no indication of what hot and cold water was, that part was missing The shower tiles were broken I came back to the room after a long day at the hospital to find there had been no housekeeping at all When I asked, I was told housekeeping was only upon request We were not informed of this upon check When I asked how to request this, I was told to find one of the housekeepers to ask, which seems unusual There was no door hanger or explanation of how to request house keepingI’ve stayed here before with no issues Highly doubt I will return

We stayed at the Inn on 6/4/22 and the overall experience was great

until it was time to unwind and go to bed My husband and I went for a quiet getaway We ate at the restaurant, which was a great experience, and walked around on the trails We went back to our room to just relax and unwind and all you could hear was blaring music from a wedding that was being held The music was so loud, i could make out the wordsI thought surely, as well detailed and expensive the room was they would stop them at 8:00 The music continued until almost midnight What was supposed to be a quiet getaway turned into being stressed out from not being able to unwind and get the critical sleep I need for my migraines It makes me almost sick to my stomach to think I wasted over 40000 on a room to be stressed out We will never be staying again

Robin Hunter

Lunch at Belted goat was terrible The venue smells like mold downstairs and the sandwiches were not made with any kind of care Pressed turkey isn’t roast Turkey and the sandwich was mushy

The so called side of pasta salad was put in a paper side container 3 days ago The pasta had stains from the olives and was so dry it was tasteless $35 for 2 sandwiches? Knowing many Relais and Château experiences this place should loose its rating or work very hard to fix these major issues

Our room was clean and comfortable with a great outside view The staff at the front desk were professional, friendly, and courteous The breakfast in the cafe was hot and delicious

The young lady at the cafe with the tinted hair was humorous, courteous, and made sure we enjoyed our meal The next day there was a young man at the cafe who was just as good Both handled various difficult customer requests with a smile and the best personal service It has a great gym with a lot of clean and up-to-date equipment The pool was nice and clean We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would come back

Nate Shirey

Too Long Don’t want to read: Awesome staff, great location near the interstate and city, newly renovated rooms/ lobby , can’t plug in own device into TV, good elite loungeProperty:Rooms are newly renovated and have all the current Sheraton brand furniture The standard king room has a king bed, chair, and desk area, so no pullout couch

Rooms also have large bathrooms and balconies which is a nice plus The only gripe (which applies to most new Marriott properties) is that you cannot plug in your own devices into the TVElite lounge was nice and clean Snacks were stocked 24 hours with sodas, waters, and chips Free breakfast in the lounge till 11am which is great for late morning people (like myself) Breakfast was bacon, eggs, potatoes with veggies, muffins, pastries, and more for both nights I stayed (Keep in mind this lounge is only open for Platinum, Titanium, and Ambassador level guests so all this is not open to everyone)Staff:Staff was amazing during my stay Kenneth answered all my questions and was friendly the whole time I was there The breakfast attendant for the Elite lounge was also great and didn’t mind getting me a food item when they ran out in the frontLocation:Easy access to interstate 40 but not right next to it Right between Chapel Hill and Durham so not too far from either There are restaurants as well as Groceries and a pharmacy 05 miles away which is walkable

Neil Kapadia

I stayed at this hotel 5 years ago and it was very dated I was SHOCKED to see the incredible transformation It’s now the nicest hotel in the area

Everything is brand new and the staff is so friendly I stayed while the Carolina football team was at the hotel which was an added plus The Sheraton lounge was the best I’ve experienced and I loved grabbing a Starbucks at their new cafe Love it and this will be my go to place going forward in Chapel Hill

We relied on the ratings and features when choosing this hotel as we have for other places and I don’t want anyone not knowing the truth here I don’t know where these five star ratings are coming from The hot tub didn’t work and that wasn’t disclosed

I called to ask the hours it was open and was given the the hours of 9am to 11pm They made no mention that it hasn’t been working for a really long time until we went down to use it That was one of the main reasons I selected this hotel and had I known it wasn’t working I would have cancelled The pool water was frigid and cloudy The room bathrooms were not clean and the carpet was stained and disgusting throughout the hotel When we went down for breakfast at 8 (open from 7 to 10) there was no waffle mix, no eggs, no plates, no bowls, no oatmeal toppings, no yogurt, no creamer, and no juice cups There was literally coffee, oranges, bread, and sausage That’s it We made a couple more trips to see if things had improved and they hadn’t Just more angry people in the breakfast area The chef was struggling and only filling things as people demanded them instead of proactively filling The elevator buttons are missing, don’t work, or don’t light up after last being serviced supposedly in April The TVs in the room are incredibly small I am shocked that this is a Marriott I felt like we stayed at a $6999 a night hotel and should have known what we were getting into Save yourself the trouble when finding a place and stay elsewhere! We checked out after the first night!

Good: quiet room, comfortable bed I was not interested in the chain restaurants nearby so I went to Carrborro Stay here instead of airb@you know, please(the hotel was reasonably priced)

After coming to the place we rented and hearing a loud party, this hotel was so quiet Nice shower too The room was updatedThey only gave us 3 large towels though We needed one more I love the lotion they provide, it smells amazingYou can sometimes hear vehicles outside the window, but the bed was comfortable

Sterling Thompson

The room we stayed in was clean and spacious For a family of 5, it was very useful having a separate space for the toilet and the shower And having 2 sinks for bedtime and mornings was very handy too

The staff were very friendly and helpfulI gave a rating of 3 stars because there was a lot of broken things in the shared spaces The elevator buttons were broken There was only one working treadmill in the exercise room– the broken one didn’t even have a sign on it noting it was out of order The internet on the TV in our room would randomly cut off, and the TV would go blankThe lack of attention to the small details felt so off for the Marriott standard I chose this location because there were so many good reviews, so maybe my stay just occurred during a weird time

Excellent in every way For me, it was literally perfect, starting with the valet and super smooth check-in The room was beautiful

Everything was so clean and so nicely decorated and put together The furniture was nice, and we loved all the different sitting areas and history on the walls throughout The AC in the room was really quiet and not at all like that blasting air system in most places It felt like a beautiful bedroom in a beautiful home The location is also fantastic It is walkable to so many different restaurants and shops I would love to come back and will always remember it as one of the best times

Kristine Falk

The Carolina Inn is the quintessential beacon of Southern charm is the heart of Chapel Hill, NC I have been a hotel guest, a wedding guest and a frequent visitor to their Friday’s on the Front Porch events in the summer time I have also attended conferences at the Inn as well as formal dinners and informal time with friends

The Carolina Inn has everything you need to have a comfortable stay and a great time The food is outstanding, and the service is 10/10 The staff is always pleasant despite the guests behavior at times I can’t say enough about this place, thank you for being the GO TO spot for so many years!

Laura St. Clair

This place is one of my favorite hotels of all time! After making stays our most recent stay was top notch Of course the fabulous rooms, delicious cookies, but somehow we never got warm enough weather to sit out on the back porch before AND after a Tar Heel game day with heaters, amazing snacks and AMAZING drinks and service, and we were pleasantly surprised that it kept going after a 9pm Wednesday game! We cannot WAIT to comeBack!! Thanks as always for an amazing stay 🙂

This hotel was a 10/10 the room was Large for just being a standard 2 double bed room Then the bathroom was So Large too with a LOT of counter space It was the perfect place for anyone needing to get to the airport for an early flight or picking someone up from a late one

Very easy check in process and fantastic customer service Plus bonus for adults with kids the pool was so kid friendly with the bottom floor having a back door so kids could walk out and parents could watch from inside or from the comfortable pool chairs My 11 year old daughter loves swimming and watching all the planes take off overhead! It was even fun for us adults Would love to go back again

Pros-Hotel is very well located for our trip Very well priced compared to the surrounding hotels Coffee and waffles are a plus in the morning

Staff is good avg Wendys is walking distance it you need a snack Pool is outsideCons-the rooms have everything you need tho are in need of some updating When we arrived it was 90+ outside and the room AC was not on No a big deal Also we ended up noticing someone had a pet in the hall we assumed the odor we catch every once I’m awhile it a pet odorOverall, for the duration of our trip the hotel is fine compared to others I’ve stayed in over the years For pet friendly hotel it very good If the trip was shorter I may have opted to stay at a slightly more newer/expensive but like I said for the price it not a bad deal I would recommend

Pradyumna Lakshmipuram

It’s great for the price! Got the suite and it was more space than we expected!Other reviews talk about no locks on bathroom door or the bedroom door, I can see if it bothers them, but for us, it was no botherThe suite was the price of a regular king in the neighboring hotels, so we thought it was a great value for the price Overall maintenance could be a little better though

It’s absolutely beautiful, clean and the extra amenities make it all worth the $$ Love the rooms, atmosphere and you don’t have the maids knocking down the door every am Definitely recommend this place to anyone who is traveling through, visiting the kids that are attending UNC or just a nice weekend getaway with a partner to kick back, relax and feel like royalty

My husband and I stayed a night here for the UNC DUKE game The room was clean and comfortable and quiet The amenities were awesome

But the staff was incredible! Everyone was so kind and welcoming from the time we checked in The front desk clerk was very informative and nice Our shuttle driver was so accommodating and even stopped at an atm for us The woman that served us at the lounge that night was so nice and calm even though they were overwhelmingly busy And all of the breakfast attendants were so sweet and helpful! We will definitely stay here again next time we’re in the area and recommend to friends and family

Mieke Maloof

This was our first visit to the Rizzo Center Hyatt hotel and we are very impressed The grounds and buildings are beautifully kept The hotel part is very nice

Our stay was excellent! I am a patient at UNC and the location made it a quick commute to the hospital Our suite was spacious, very clean, and accommodating- even for my toddler The breakfast bar was the best I’ve experienced and not to mention the breakfast attendant was so kind, helpful, and such a hard worker

I hope they take great care of her! All of the staff were so pleasant and helpful and our overall stay surpassed our expectations We will definitely be back for future UNC visits

Tracy Caprioglio

We found the hotel to be dirty Our bathroom tile had four different types of grout and it moved as you walked on it The small kitchen table had a broken leg

One of the nightstands was replaced with a round table and the light plug was wrapped in duck tape The hallways smelled like urine We always stay at Marriott and have stayed at several residence inns This one was the worst The room needed a gut and referb The hallway rugs needed to be deep cleaned

alyssa campagna

If I could give 10 stars I would I have nothing but wonderful things to say about this hotel We had a family emergency and had a family member in the UNC chapel hill hospital, Tara and Dale made accommodations for us immediately and had a room for us to stay (including our dog)

Every single staff member was exceptional to us Jerry and Stephanie helped us numerous times The rooms were immaculate and breakfast every morning was delicious (not your typical hotel breakfast either – this food was fresh and tasted amazing!) I cannot recommend this hotel enough Thank you to everyone at The Residence Inn Chapel Hill for making a stressful time a lot less stressful for us

Upon arrival to be told that rooms will not be available until 3 Sure enough rooms were not ready until 3:30pm We were told that current day check-ins do not get loaded into system until 3pm The front desk worker was not pleasant at all very short with us Room was ok Outlets were not working properly, no soaps left in bathroom, the deadbolt on the door was hard to latch once in for the night Breakfast was not great at all Missing a lot of items for breakfast ( Butter, hot sauce, yogurt, muffins etc) The nicest person that worked there was the person who maintained the breakfast area Very apologetic about not having items Hot tub was broken Doors to get into the building (side entrances) were not working properly NO ROOM KEY NEEDED so really anyone could just come into the building The last thing that really got my attention was after going out and coming back our room key did not work so we needed to visit the front desk This was a different person other than the person who checked us in and we asked if we could get a new key We gave him our 1 key and the Gentleman said sure what room We told him and he got two new keys and gave them to us No questions asked or ID or last name on the room I did not feel very comfortable knowing that it could be possible for anyone to come in and say my key was not working properly and get a new key made MIND BLOWN!!! My rating of this location has changed dramatically since the last time I stayed here La Quinta Corporate I believe needs to visit this location ASAP I have not stayed at a La Quinta Hotel that was ever this bad

Kelly Diaz

We arrived around 7pm and the front desk manager was extremely nice and helpful getting us checked in and directing us to our room The room itself was one of, if not the, nicest la quinta I’ve ever been to! Rooms were clean and had plenty of towels and pillows, a nice tv, and a mini fridge/microwave/coffee maker set up Beds were very comfy

There is also a great spot to walk you dogs away from the parking lot and traffic, which was appreciated In the morning they had a buffet that included waffles, muffins, juices, etc At check out, the gentleman with the army veteran hat working at the desk was extremely helpful! There was an erroneous charge on the folio, but he called over coworker Terri for help and they were able to resolve it! There are also a ton of restaurants less than 5 minutes away, so we were able to grab some take out after a long drive Overall, super friendly staff and a great place I would definitely stay again, and I’m glad we chose this hotel

precious Hayes

My family and I travel a lot! Since the pandemic I’ve witnessed horrible hotel/motel services and accommodations! barely any breakfast or clean rooms BUT this place has a variety of options for breakfast, a clean room, workers were sweet This has been such a pleasant stay that I feel obligated to leave a review Highly recommend

Not to mention the price was great!

I’m a very picky traveler While I can’t say this hotel is absolutely perfect, let me explain my 5 stars I’m used to much more swank in a hotel

I had a few personal preferences here which I asked for and were met well This hotel was fully booked while I was there The staff were professional and kind The room was very clean To be so crowded, the room was super quiet, even near the elevatorI appreciate how everything fell into place even though I didn’t get to stay at the much more expensive hotel I’m used to in this area

Jeff Wilson

The hotel was fine Clean Quiet

Within walking distance of a wide variety of places to eat Breakfast was very good But the breakfast area is somewhat modest so if you’re traveling with a large group or if you’re traveling during a period where large groups are coming through town you’re going to be pressed to find a place to sit

Noah Lepore

Stayed here twice for work and the first time was great no problemsThe second time I stayed here it was way to crowded and I had roaches crawling on me while I was in bed I would strongly recommend limiting the occupancy and taking care of your hotel

Hotel staff, laughed and asked “what you don’t want to sleep with the bugs””Sseymo”I would strongly stay away until the staff start taking care of this hotel

Unfortunately I did not enjoy my stay here My room was not clean There were stains on the blankets and sofa

There were hairs in the bathroom sink and the refrigerator There was a circle of mold on the ceiling by the AC vent that was painted over The carpet felt moist and made our socks brown A large crumb was in the blankets on the sofa bed A small black bug was crawling on a pillow that my 6 yr old was laying on The carpet and shower had noticeable deterioration And lastly, the AC unit was very loud and kept cutting on and off I could barely sleep and checked out early to go to a newer, nicer, and less expensive hotel nearby The only good things were the great location, nice lobby, free breakfast, and kind staff I will not be returning

Glorija

Overall an excellent stay; spacious and wide rooms, comfortable beds and pillows, very clean and comfortable An AMAZING pool and attentive service all make for a great experienceThe only thing lacking was breakfast options and placement of a toaster in a corner that continually got packed with people

That ought to be spaced better with a few more food options and this place would easily be a 5-star option for the price segment We’ll be back just for the pool!

If you’re looking for a hotel with extra space, and lots of it…choose Staybridge You can’t go wrong Mini kitchen, full closet, separate sleeping/lounging areas

The check in staff was pleasant and the hotel was clean Ample parking and nice outdoor areas (with an outdoor pool) The location was easy to find and close enough to downtown and to the university, without being downtown My only complaint was the door handle on my room, the electronic mechanism liked to pick and choose when it would open I was also surprised the hotel had no ice machines (other than the ones in the freezer)

C. Pruitt

The service was great Nicole very friendly and made the checking in process quick and easy I will add that our checking out experience wasn’t what I expected

Having a background in the hospitality industry, I learned that you always stand up when addressing or speaking with a guest This didn’t happen at check out And lastly, the mattresses were extremely firm and really hard on my back for two nights But the hotel over all was clean & accommodating

Melissa Buchanan

The rooms are good, have some issues with the ice maker It doesn’t work Its not totally stocked with cooking utensils, pots, pans, etc

If your here working for any length of time, you may want to bring along extra silverware The BBQ grills really need to be replaced out by the pool, one doesn’t work and the one that does only has 2 flames and you cannot adjust it You honestly can cook your meats adequately at all The pool and pool area doesn’t seem to be cleaned daily Only one elevator works, and the one that works broke down a few times They serve a good breakfast, and dinner Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday nights The staff have all been extremely nice and as helpful as they can be

Great price for the quality of stay I had to stay here for a couple months for work Good sized room for me & my cat

The washer/dryers always worked There’s a dishwasher & a decent sized fridge in the room The gym was pretty good for an extended stay Every staff member i encountered was friendly The rooms were clean enough I never once felt unsafe in the hotel or in the parking lot I would definitely stay again if in the area

Julia Howey

Room was very nice and housekeeping worked very hard All rooms are suites which is very nice for families Much better stay than our previous stay at a Doubletree

My only complaint is lobby, coffee area, outside seating needs too be cleaned regularly I doubt that they are sanitizing like they say GM needs too hire a night person too take care of these areas

Ye Yo

It’s a great hotel clean, affordable, modern TVs, good bathrooms I think it’s a great place other than one employee The man who works the evening shift needs to be gone

He sits behind the wall and window and has his AirPods in I’ve seen 5+ people sit and wait for him for 5 min plus I’ve resorted to calling the hotel phone In order to get him to stand up and assist his customers I have stayed here many time and when I say this is an every day thing I am not kidding

Checked out on Dec 14th Stay was fine but checkout was not pleasant I have stayed here numerous times and the staff has all been great

Found out that this 1 particular unpleasant person, Zaida was her name, is actually the manager She wasn’t nice and was very dismissive towards me for some reason I am a hilton honors member and will be reporting her to Hilton as it makes no sense that the other staff members are far superior at delivering high quality customer service than she is What a way to ruin a nice stay on my way out

Deandre F

Stay FAR away from this hotelI have been a loyal Hilton member for well over 10 years and this is the absolute worst experience I’ve ever hadThe hotel itself is actually pretty nice; the rooms are spacious and the water pressure in the showers are excellent

The praise ends there, unfortunatelyI booked a room on New Year’s Day I ended up extending my stay another day and was DOUBLE CHARGED on two different cards When I initially tried to explain the mishap to the very rude employee at the front desk, she spoke over me and dismissed my complaint entirelyHere we are going into March and the hotel has made zero attempt to refund my money or offer any solution Mind you, this is after several exchanges back and forth through both email and phone I have been hung up on multiple times, transferred to agents that had no idea what was going on all while being promised the funds were already processed and would be returned within a “few business days”If you don’t mind paying twice for your stay then this is the place They won’t make it right if they do mess up, despite what they may tell you As a Diamond member that has traveled across the country this is the ONLY experience I have ever had that has made me think twice about booking with Hilton againDo yourself a favor and book elsewhere!

Nancy Bartlett

From the time we arrived to the time we left it was a dismal experience First we were given the wrong room, and when we were able to switch, the a/c in our room wasn’t cold Beds weren’t very comfortable and the carpet was sticky

Went down for coffee and they were continuously out of dark roast I was there on business and was looking forward to unwinding by the pool, only to find it was “closed for the season,” even though it was 90+ degrees when I was there NOT a good experience

Wanted to post this specifically to give the front desk manager, Matthew, a shout out We had a terrific day of traveling, trying to get back to Chapel Hill and arrived to the city later than expected The hotel we were supposed to stay out had already given our room away so we thought we had no where to go (it being a busy week with everyone coming back to school)

Not only were able to quickly find a room here, at the Aloft, but Matthew made the check-in process smooth, easy, and unstressful at the end of a horrible day He was clearly working hard but it didn’t stop him from providing kind and professional service to everyone, including us Thank you for being the bright spot in our day!

AW PM

If you stay here pay close attention to your credit card activity They charged my credit card an additional $106 after my stay This charge was not included in my receipt when I checked out

I called the hotel, spoke to the manager and she told me it was a pending charge that would clear in a couple of days When the pending charge did not clear, I called back 3 days later and spoke to a different person, also claiming to be the manager This manager could not find record of this additional charge He made no additional efforts, no apology, no explanation for the chargeThe staff is very otherwise friendly and helpful The hotel is moderately clean The pool is ok, not very well maintained

I’m a long-time Marriott customer and use them whenever it is practical Made a reservation months in advance for UNC commencement weekend, knowing that prices were 3X the normal rate Called a week ahead to confirm room arrangements because I was concerned about number of guests and available rooms for that weekend

Arrived at about 7pm after 8+ hours driving, at which time they told me that the type of room that I reserved was not ready and it would be more than an hour wait Okay, I know there are labor shortages and other issues now, so I settled for a smaller room Lobby is contemporary and casual-friendly Room was clean HVAC came on in a loud burst each time it kicked in Lighting is weird in these rooms – there’s only two switches and you can’t turn on the bathroom light without illuminating the whole room and waking people upWent out relatively early on day after arrival and was gone all day Came back to discover that room had not been cleaned/serviced Called front desk and clerk brought up towels but couldn’t get room cleaned Totally unacceptable when paying more than $300 per night for a $100 room

Coffee and breakfast cafe serving quick bites Convenience items available through the front desk I will have to try their dinner next time I visitUpdateSecond stay two months later and this time for over a week Just incredible staff, location, rooms, and atmosphere Beautiful hotel and the landscaping / courtyard is so serene

This hotel is very lovely! This was my first time staying at an AC Hotel and I was very impressed The staff here is very friendly and accommodating to all needs Check-in was a breeze and took less than 2 minutes

There’s also plenty of parking in the underground garage ($18 daily) but it can get a little tricky maneuvering through some parts of the garage The room itself was great and the bed was super comfortable I was also pleasantly surprised at how quiet the hotel was for the area it’s located in I will most definitely be visiting this location again!

Ruben Perez

My experience here was pleasurable It seems that the establishment in itself is still recovering from covid As it stated and I was informed that breakfast was to start serving at 6:30

Twice I went down there and they weren’t ready As I was on business , unfortunately I didn’t have time to wait I was still charged two days of parking when I was unable to get a large vehicle in the garage below I had to park across the street on a property this hotel didn’t own The rooms are very nice and modern Great location and walking distance to anything in any directionCHEERS! 🍻🥃

Liz Corritore

This is a newer hotel with nice common areas and rooms Unfortunately, there a live band playing in a bar right outside this side of the building that plays until 1 or 2 am

and it is incredibly loud I am here right now and even with a white noise app, it is still so loud I cannot imagine falling asleep This is something guests should know when checking in I do not recommend staying here if you need to get to sleep early like we do tonight
