The room was nice and the pool area was really nice for the family The front desk person who checked us in and who we dealt with during our 3 day stay was less than acceptable She was extremely grumpy and should not be customer facing

Other members of their team were nice and pleasant We stay here 5-6 times a year and refer many of our family to this hotel This is the first time in all the years of staying here that we have had a negative experience I would also recommend that they do a better job with the morning breakfast Better danishes and fruit All the juices were out of service Thanks

cassie Hill

The room was very stinky, had a strong buring smell coming from the fridge and microwave Front desk guy removed the microwave, but the smell came back Couldn’t use fridge due to smell

Hotel was sold out of rooms with double beds so eventually had to be moved to king with a pullout couch (very uncomfortable) at 9pm at night with 2 kids and my elderly grandmother with no help Manager wasn’t any help at all when checking out Pretty much said since I booked threw Hotelscom she couldn’t do anything Contacted Hotelscom they where very helpful, but the hotel only wanted to refund me $3000 for all the trouble we had Lady from Hotelscom said the manger would barley talk to her, got disconnected and wouldn’t get back on the phone So couldn’t get the issue resolved Still trying to get a full refund Hotelscom has been very helpful in trying to resolve this issue Would not recommend this property

Super comfy beds, really cold AC, it wasn’t spotless but clean imho Hot breakfast, albeit it was lacking some sort of meat to go with the tasty, tasty waffles I was on the ground floor and it was quiet in the room

Could use a larger TV but still a decent TV with a good picture The alarm clock had MP3 aux input No unwanted guests in the roomdidn’t get that creepy crawling feelingya know what I’m talking about The price couldn’t be beat Next time I’m in the Bridgeport area this is where I’m staying

Please, please go somewhere elseIf you are a West Virginia resident, you must put down a deposit I was told this is because apparently West Virginians are more careless than others and cause damage to the rooms

I’m not a West Virginian, but they still wanted my own personal credit or debit card to charge in case there was damage to the room First, no There is a certain level of risk you take on by being in the hospitality industry Second, my room was secured with a payment from my company, not from me, and my company had already provided their credit card for incidentals such as damage to the room, according to my company’s travel arrangerOn to the good stuffEww This room is gross, and if I had last minute options, I would use them The room funnels you in right as you open the door Don’t try to enter with more than one bag at a time, you’ll get stuckThere’s no bathroom door If you don’t close your blinds before you use the bathroom, you can see right into the car that is parked directly outsideDust everywhere Not even like they forgot to dust, but more like they never dustThe overhead light wasn’t covered The toilet paper holder fell off when I tried to use it Yes, that is mildew and grime in the shower, and soap scum on the shower doorHow do you like the filter in the HVAC unit? So healthy for your lungsThe amount of damages to this room is incredible It may only be little things, but it’s a lot of little things in one tiny room

I want to Thank You to Nick, his family and their staff Traveling all the time for your job, you start to miss the comfort, luxuries, and just the all round being at home feel The whole team does a great job at trying to fill those voids

My man Nick, went above and beyond in many ways but just the simple how is your day or how are you feeling today goes along way with me and for those reasons I just wanted to say THANK YOU VERY MUCH NICK

Rooms were clean Beds comfortable Breakfast was not the usual continental breakfast

You could order from the restaurant and had a selection of three different breakfasts that were free or you could get $4 off anything else This set up does expect you will tip the waiter, so breakfast really isn’t a free breakfast as claimed on their website

After challenging, only available direct flight from LAX to Pitzburg, overnight flight from LA, spending 1 day in Pitzburg, it was really pleasant experience to come to Wyndham The good size room offers everything what we need including a fridge, stove, working table Very nice and welcoming staff at the reception and breakfast area is what we have noticed at our first day from 6 more coming

This was supposed to be a relaxing stay to end our vacation and leisurely way to break up drive from Tennessee to Maryland My family and I stayed here upon return from Michigan on New Year’s Day and it was great Upon arrival, the person working the front desk informed me that my room has a broken computer chair which meant my stepson would not be using the desk

Once my family and I got to the room, it smelled like an ashtray and had a bug trap hanging from the ceiling This is unacceptable and my family and I decide to drive the remaining 3 hours plus to go home after already driving 9 hours from Nashville that day The Club Wyndham Vacation Sidekick App has this hotel advertised as non-smoking but clearly Microtel does not enforce the policy When complaining to the front desk the person offered to spray the room while my family and I leave for an hour or two, which would make matters worse The main entry to the road leading to the hotel as a huge pothole where you practically have to drive over the grass to avoid damaging your vehicle After our experience with the Best Western near the Huntington (where we decided to leave before checking in) and this hotel, we will never book a hotel in West Virginia again It is sad because the people that do work the front desk at these hotels are great people and will try to help you, but the rooms are horrendous and I would not recommend staying there Like my review for Best Western in Huntington, I think part of the issue is with the Club Wyndham Vacation Sidekick App

Worst hotel stay I have had The trashcan in the main halls were never emptied The toilet handle broke in my hand

Supposed to have breakfast everyday, in my week stay breakfast was served onceI have contacted customer service Been two weeks now and have yet to hear back from them

Michele Ellis

Poor service, didn’t pickup garbage or makeup beds Had to ask for clean towels The continental breakfast of coffee, teas and juice and assorted cold cereals was good

The staff was to laid back The cost was to expensive for $23800 for one evening and two days Coffee machine and condiments in room, had to ask them to restock each day Their was constant noise above our heads with each night we stayed People were running down the hall during the late night into early morning We didn’t complain, but should have

Recently stayed at this hotel for 2 nights The hotel was clean overall, as was our room Nice location close to restaurants, gas stations, and the highway

The hotel was quiet as well Our king suit was spacious and had a large bathroom with walk-in shower, as well as a separate seating area with a couch Plus there was a bar area with a sink, mini fridge, and microwave Would stay here again

Dan Smith

Checked in to the SpringHill Suites on our way home from Florida for a stop during our trip Initial impression was good and the front desk clerk checked us in without any issues Room seemed clean

Pool was still closed and seems as though this has been ongoing We arrived back at our room after dinner and found a large bug in the washroom Called the front desk about it and Matt basically said if there is one, there’s probably 50 This comment was not overly reassuring When questioned further regarding this situation, Matt simply hung up Very unprofessional Called back to ask to speak with the manager and Matt offered a free soda We completely understand that bugs can happen anywhere but the comments made by this staff were very unprofessional and did not validate the concerns that we had This is our second bad experience with SpringHill Suites in the last month and I suspect it will be our last

Was visiting some friends and decided to stay here for a week The room seemed lean at first but there was food left over by the last people on the floor, the floors themselves are gross and need deep cleaned The toilet has urine built up on it

Only plus side was the guy that checked us in was cool and even fixed our AC However, the AC was pretty much ripped off of the wall and we could see outside from it Probably gonna have bugs in the future Also overheard a conversation with someone talking to house keeping that mentioned someone wasn’t cleaning the rooms properly Seems like they’re aware of the problem so hopefully they can find a solution Also, the security doors do not shut properly so keep that in mind It was fine for us because we used it to get in and out of the place instead of going through the front since our room was close to it Probably not good for safety though I will be visiting again next year and will try out Quality Inn right next door Hopefully they are better

If I could, I would give this establishment negative stars I was staying at this hotel while on a business trip My room had been booked by another person and was being paid for by the company I was with

When we arrived, no room was registered as mine However, there were names that did not belong to anyone in our group The hotel staff quickly issued me a key card and sent me to my room I didn’t think much of it It could have been a miscommunication anywhere in the line I go to the room that they assigned me to find there was someone already staying there I go back downstairs to the front desk The employee apologized and then blamed the problem on the staff that were on the shift before him He told me that there were 2 rooms available that I could choose from One on the bottom floor and I close to the smoking section I chose the one on the bottom floor Thankfully, no one else was in that room so I walked in Upon opening the door, I found my window open (on a ground level floor) and the air conditioning on (it was snowing outside) I shut the window and locked it, or so I thought I checked the room but still felt uncomfortable so I asked someone in my group to check to make sure I was secure When he checked the window, it was still unlocked He also found that my door lock was broken off the door After that, he left, and I continued to do the “hotel check” (secret cameras, mold in the shower, bed bugs, etc) I didn’t find anything like that, but what I did see was not great I have attached pictures of what I saw to this post The picture of the upside down power strip, is how they were powering the refrigerator, microwave, television, and lamp Not pictured are the dust bunnies literally hanging from the ceiling like bats in a cave The next day, one of the people in my group said that they went to get a morning swim in at the indoor pool and chose not to based on the condition and cleanliness of the pool I did not go look because I can only imagine that it was bad There were multiple other people who reported nasty things from their rooms I would highly recommend that you look elsewhere when staying in this area

Megan Shock

My husband our daughter and I stayed here for one night The girl was extremely nice at the front desk and made sure to inform us about breakfast , which I am glad she did because it was great! Our room was very clean and AC was nice and cool Was a great stay

I recommend coming here if needing a hotel right in this area I seen all the comments of people trashing it I’d say they were just upset about a few outdated things because we had a wonderful stay with very nice staff

I would reccomend I gave 4 stars because of the limited and odd breakfast menu And lack of ice water /hot coffee/hot water for tea around the clock in lobby areaOverall it was better/cleaner, than most hotels these days

Pros: The room was nice size, comfortable beds and clean Great price for a Saturday night Nice staff Felt safe Indoor jacuzzi and pool( the night prior my mom and I, stayed at the HGI at the Rock Hill SC location It was excellent)Cons for this location: In the lobby–> They didn’t offer 24/7 ice /Limewater/coffee/hot water for tea and/or hot chocolate Most hotels have at least ice water and coffee/hot water around the clock in the lobby Breakfast is NOT free It’s also not a continental style breakfast Breakfast costs $10? each and was very limited This location did not offer Milk, cold cereal, oatmeal/grits We had to fill out a slip of paper and turn it in the night prior for breakfast We had to choose a specific time to have breakfast, choose dine in or to go, the menu was very limited for the price we had a CHOICE of eggs OR sausage gravy, and choice of bacon or sausage (They had bread for toast and bagels self serve ) they had orange juice, coffee and hot water for tea I didn’t like that we had to choose a specific time and what we wanted the night prior I think it should be optional

Lori Finney

A reasonably decent hotel I found the noise transference from room to room annoying, and unlike most HGI’s it does not provide a breakfast (which i’m almost certain it advertised when I booked it) Night staff is barely pleasant (the lady in the morning was lovely)

Room was reasonably clean, but worn looking It was a bit of a bear to find, as Google apparently has no idea specifically where it is and took me on a bit of a wild goose chase

Because they gave us a room knowing that it was full of bed bugs Room 206 had been treated for bed bugs 24 hours prior to our visit I’ve contacted them

They will not give number to corporate amd when we finally spoke to a Manger TJ Nicholson was rude and disrespectful the entire phone call If I were you might as well go to the Hilton Inn for a bit more money but you’ll have no beds bugs and a pool that’s in service 1/10 I wouldn’t recommend

Not a bad place to stay, but I have stayed in cleaner Super 8’sAll of the electronics worked wellA few things that we’re not top shelf is the freezer needed defrosted, to the point where the freezer door was open and made the whole refrigerator and freezer, there were cigarette burns on the blanket in a non-smoking room, and there was only a shampoo and a soap, but no conditioner in the bathroom

Nothing too major, but I’m used to a pretty good visit at Super 8I wouldn’t not stay, just a little few things

Sheets were dirty They couldn’t even give me replacement sheets Unless you consider the unfolded stained sheets they brought out to me and said they were clean

There was left over food left in the room The front desk had no idea how to check me out The morning manager was rude inappropriate and charged my credit card twice and refused to do anything about it Don’t let the nice pictures on line fool you this place is a dump and managed by people who have no idea what they are doing There is a really nice Hampton inn down the road go there

Cindy Schneider

Room was run down Next morning, my daughter was sitting on the bed getting ready, a roach ran up across her pillow! I got a video of it & took it to the front desk We showed the girl working, she said she would get the manager to call me and process a refund, so I left my name & number

I didn’t hear back within the next few days so I tried calling again Was told the manager wasn’t in but they would leave a message to return my call I’ve never received a call or a refund!Update-it’s been 6 weeks Finally heard back, they say there are no roaches in the rooms & will not give me a refund?!?! Still have the video……

I’ve stayed at this location many many times for work related travel (Military) While each stay has presented its own difficulties, usually they can be worked through This stay however, was much unlike any other and has left me with no choice but to discontinue use of this Hotel

While I don’t expect this Hotel to be of great quality, I do expect it to be free of infestation and to have working plumbing In the attached picture you will find a bed bug on the bed, and a tub that clearly would not drain The manager was gracious enough to refund the stay, but he did not seem genuine in rectifying the issue I attempted to resolve further issues through IHG, but the only offer made to me was the equivalent of $20 in points, to again stay at one of their locations 10/10 would not recommend This hotel needs adequate staffing and better management

Jordan Levy

Room was clean, the bathroom spotless, the only minor negative was the sheets showed worn spots and were threadbare in places Breakfast buffet was standard fare scrambled eggs, omelets bacon, turkey sausage cereal

I plan to stay here again my next time in WV

Pulled in late at night tired from the road You never know what to expect when bleary-eyed from a long day and good part of the night Well, it was a recently remodeled room, clean, and quiet

I was impressed for the price point and would be happy to stay there again Nice bed, bathroom and layout It could have used a coffee maker but fresh coffee was in the lobby (good coffee btw) Four stars only as the rooms were pretty tight and the carpet by the bathroom side of the bed was wet from something Overall very good and I will look closer at Red Roof Inn’s next time I’m traveling

Pleasantly surprised! The outside looked a little “tired”BUT

the check in lady 5/15/2022 was the best! So sweet, kind, thorough, and helpful Then one of the cleaning gals came in (Sydneysorry I did ‘t get the other lady’s name) Sydney had a great big smile and when the other lady asked her to do something, she happily agreed Really they were so nice We got to the room and it was nicely remodeled and Sydney did such a great job cleaning and setting it up We were so pleased Please thank them for usDiane and Scott Prentice

Loved everything!! The employees were nice and helpful, and went out of the way to be helpful The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable The breakfast was great, and the employee by the way I wish I could remember her name, was great and made sure the food was fresh and hot, she went out of her way to help me

Checking in and out was easy The pool was clean,as well as the grounds Overall I had a great time and I will stay here again Well worth the price 👍👍

From beginning to end I was unsatisfied with my experienceAt check in we were placed on a different floor from our family We asked to be moved and was told there was no availability

Must have been to much work to pull him from the lounge TV to accommodate usFamily members has rooms with mildew growing on bathroom doorAt breakfast I kindly asked for a chocolate milk for my son Which apparently warranted a sigh of disgust and a curt ” I’ll get it when I get it”At check out I wanted s receipt The clerk yelled across the lobby for me to drop my room keys I got another glare and something mumbled to stand there and wait for a receiptIt us good that I got the receipt as the hotel charged our families incidental card again for an online bookingThose charges will likely need to be cc disputed as the manager still has not called

The staff were so helpful I thought I was booking through Wyndham but was hijacked to another booking company They messed up my reservation to where I only had a king bed in each room

I needed one king room and one with two queens Normally this is something that just can’t be fixed apparently in the hotel world but they were able to figure out a way to make it work for us I so appreciate the outstanding service
