For a two-star hotel, we thought this was pretty good We came in after 10:00pm, and they found a room for us for the weekend It wasn’t a great price, but it was fair

The room was clean, and the service was friendly The beds were small (full size, not queen) but comfortable, and the TV, refrigerator and microwave all worked We were fully satisfied

Trish Sgambelluri

We broke down on I95 were towed to a local service station and came here to see if we could get a room King size bed, microwave, fridge, coffee (pot missing) machineCoffee in lobby

Blow dryer, but pretty cool Pet friendly

James Dienekes

Front office staff keep this place going, otherwise I would give a 1-star rating The place is filthy, particularly the hallways and rooms Mine smelled like smoke and had trash in it when I arrived

The hallways leading to the area where pets are taken smelled like a trash heap It was horrendousI can understand if certain things are not working, like the hot tub, but the room was otherwise in poor condition, and I cut my stay short because of how dirty it was If not for the smell of death and lack of cleanliness, I would’ve stayed longerStill, got to hand it to the front office Those folks were very friendly and professionalRed Roof is cheap for a reason

Stayed here 25 – 29 July with my wife who was attending a work conference If you’re not staying at this hotel – you’re missing out Wonderful staff, super clean rooms, great breakfast and drink bar, pool n workout room super clean

Staff at the front desk greet you each and every time you they see you This is one of finest hotels we’ve stayed at in a very long time! A+ Hilton, A+

Michelle Gates

Most of the staff is friendly and tries but there is an overall lack of communication, quality, and supplies, especially on the weekend Also, the walls are paper thin Don’t plan on getting much sleep

In general, the cost of stay does not match services rendered There are other less expensive hotels nearby Be sure to lock your vehicle, and watch your surroundings throughout the local area

Johnathan M

Came here because my house plumbing went down south This hotel has been nothing short of getting the job done with a clean and hospitable environment I’ve really enjoyed peaceful location and being so close to all the shopping

Would highly recommend if you need a nice, but not luxury hotel that won’t make you sell a first born in the DC area

The rooms were clean The cable TV is pretty bad There is no guide and only like twenty channels

Pretty standard for most corporate chains unfortunatelyThe staff were very friendly and courteous They worked hard to get us a good room even though they were pretty fullThe indoor pool was nice, but the hot tub was broken which also strangely seems to be pretty standard for these corporate chains lately Not sure why Also they have a lovely patio that I wanted to chill out on after my dip in the pool, but the door out to it locked as soon as I went out and my key would not get me back in I had to bang on the door to get one of the other parents to let me back in Very embarrassing I’m sure they are trying to keep non-paying customers out of the pool, but that solution pretty much renders their patio uselessI would probably come back and stay though It was pretty nice

Ann Cummings

Great front desk staff – they treated us the moment we came through the doors and made us feel very welcome When we headed out for dinner, the young man at the desk wanted make sure our room met are our needs, and welcomed us back when we got back from dinnerOur room was nice and clean, and the bed was quite comfortable

We did have to ask for an extra set of towels as they had only set the bathroom up for one person Other than that, our stay was great Thank you!

David J Kanwisher

We booked this hotel same day after struggling to finish a 20 hour drive We booked two rooms for the six of us The rooms were HUGE, even the couch pulled out into a bed

In hindsight we probably could have gotten away with one room, but we don’t have any regrets There is a snack/drink “store” for purchases, complimentary breakfast, a gym, an indoor pool, ice machine and coin-operated washer and dryer The rooms were large and clean without any flaws, each room had a fridge, microwave, coffee maker, two sinks, television, two full beds and one sitting area with a pull out couch The thermostat was on the wall and was preset to a cool and comfortable 69 degrees The hotel is located right off the highway and was easy to find Plenty of parking We were all very impressed with our stay

We stayed here for 6 months while our house was being built To be honest, I wasn’t looking forward to it – a very small space with two dogs and lots of neighbors didn’t sound all that great to me I was VERY pleasantly surprised! The amenities here are very good, and the staff works hard to keep them that way

The take-away breakfast was always a welcome way to start the day, and the staff keeps freshly-brewed coffee in the lobby all day The housekeeping staff does a great job keeping the common areas clean, and the hotel management goes above and beyond in making the guests feel welcome The housekeeper assigned to our room was careful to use pet-friendly cleaning products, which was such a nice touch The laundry facility was kept clean, and I never had a problem finding a washer/dryer available when I needed itWe have two dogs, and the adjacent dog park was a fast favorite The park is well-kept, good supplies on hand, and nicely wooded The other amenities, including outdoor grills, fully-stocked in-room kitchen, dishwasher, full-size refrigerator, etc, made everything feel as close to home as we could have hoped!I found this to be a reasonably-priced, good-value extended stay around the Aquia Harbor area (and there are several choices), and I heartily recommend this location to everyone!

CRAIG B (CRAIG B)

I’d give this place a 45 stars We only stayed one night but as for the room, I told my wife this is the first time I had no suggestions on how they could make it better

The bed was comfortable The bathroom and sleeping area was clean It was very nice The front desk people were very helpful My only complaint is no hot breakfast They have a grab-n-go which doesn’t work well especially if you get the hot cakes because there are no plates to warm them up on and add syrup If they had a hot breakfast, it would easily be 5 stars

Tiffany Thompson-McNally

I live locally, off grid, in a travel trailer, while building our home Been doing it for 6 months and occasionally need a break with a full-sized shower with more than 5 minutes of hot water After back-to-back snow storms, my lot is a mud pit

I had a mental break down this morning and booked a hotel room to decompress I looked at all the reviews for local hotels and what sold me on this place was not only their superior reviews, but the comebacks from whoever is responding That person had me rolling, they are hilarious and so well written, I think they should be printed out and hung up around the lobby This is a nice place It’s an extended stay, the rooms are well sized, and it’s very clean The property is a little older, but they have kept up well on maintenance The hotel room is saving me from having an all out breakdown and ending up in the news I appreciate it and thank you for the thoughtful and entertaining responses I always trust somebody that can utilize the English language

The perfect stay! The people were super cool at check-in and out We just stayed the night, but the little things add up

the treadmills all worked, the shower was hot and powerful, the water refill stations had ice cold water, the breakfast was hot, and the place was clean!

Joyce Robinson

We’ve stayed at this location before and the rooms and hot breakfast are pretty good This stay we heard a commotion between 3am-4am to police officers banging on the door across the hall stating “someone called 911” When I inquired later this morning, I was told the police were at the wrong hotel

I understand things happen It was an inconvenience for us due to losing sleep, then preparing to drive 65 hours homeYou will not regret staying at this property We will visit again in the future

Michelle MacFarlane

Check in was easy Room was very clean and tidy Only downfall was 2 different staff members trying to enter the room before checkout at 11

One knock and they were using the key to enter our room Thankfully the latch was out but scary situation if we had been down getting breakfast, and we come back to people in the room without our permission 👀 or if we had kids with us SMH Front desk clerk promised to speak to his staff but still a little unnerving

When trying to check in the person at the service desk wouldn’t open the door for me, had to wait for another person checking in Once in the room there was a beeping noise that kept my wife up all night The room was not great; lights were out, bathroom tile were cracked and shower curtain rail was broken

The only brightside to our stay was housekeeping were very friendly and helpful The eateries near by are plentiful I have traveled many places and this experience was in the lower half have places i would recommend

Zeye

When I arrived I was charged a higher amount than what was told to me through the booking site this was fine I proceeded to go on but then was told I also wouldn’t be able to use my military discount and they said that I should have done that threw the booking site (I’ve stayed at The Courtyard in Ohio and any other hotel allowed me to show my military ID and applied the discount when I arrived) , but I shook that off as well Anytime I stay at hotels I record the room before and after when I checked out I was charged the correct amount, somehow the next day they processed an extra 100 dollars I was confused because I left everything neat and as it was, I called to ask why I was charged the extra amount and was told it was because of a lamp being broken and shedded into pieces and was given attitude when I asked for them to provide proof (which they could not provide) I disputed the charge and won due to there actually being no broken lamp and me providing proof to my bank and the hotel could not show that there was a broken lamp neither Customer service here was horrible and inexperienced

The Holiday Inn Express at Dumfreys was amazing It is newly renovated so that the rooms are large and especially well designed The workspace is very functional and the rooms each have a refrigerator and microwave

The whole hotel was extremely clean The staff is knowledgeable, friendly and supportive I had a medical emergency while I was staying there and was so fortunate for their responsiveness and support in handling the emergency and their support and concern in the days following I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who needs to stay in this area You will not be disappointed!

Matthew Balconi

Our room was fine The HVAC air filter was dirty but at least it was the washable type and I just clean those myself in the bathtub and it’s very common for them to be filthyThe breakfast was awesome though, and the lady in charge of breakfast was very nice

There was so much choice and everything was really delicious- the biscuits and gravy was fantastic What a great way to start the 2nd leg of our trip!

We cannot say enough good things about the experience we had at this hotel We enjoyed speaking with Alfred, and were so very grateful for his hospitality Both Ann and Angel at the front desk were absolutely delightful in every way

Please be patient and kind to the staff as it seems they’re short staffed We had a wonderful stay, and were so happy and comfortable We will definitely return soon!

Great hotel for a drop in stay at on a road trip Rates are fair, Starbucks available in the morning, and front desk staff is very accommodating The hotel is clean and rooms appear to have undergone a recent renovation

If you enjoy snakes, water moccasins this is your place Checked in with my daughter & dog at 4am Around 4:10am my daughter spotted a new-born coming towards her

After that I had a full grown snake trying to strike at me I wasn’t allowed to have a copy of my bill, called choice hotels they told me I was a “no show” I stood in the hallway until an animal control officer could drive 2 1/2 states away to through the room I wIll keep fighting for a refund and much more Snakes we saw were in room 117! Also, we will be finding a lawyer STAY AWAY, unless you enjoy nasty snakes!!!!

Matt Vorgity

Decent and reasonable hotel We checked the Holiday Inn Express before we came here (across the street) Holiday Inn wanted $179 + tax for one night

That was their cheapest room per the desk clerk We left and checked Quality Inn & Suites The cheapest room here was $88 tax included The room had a fridge, microwave, and a heat/cool system the occupant can actually control themselves In the morning they had free coffee, and breakfast Breakfast consisted of eggs, sausage, toast, bagel, cereal, juice, and waffles Let me say, for $88 a night I was quite pleased Dont waste your time at the Holiday Inn if you are looking a similar hotel room at half the cost Friendly staff too!

Rolled in at 2 AM after an 18 hour drive from South Florida Was met by Kevin at the front desk who could not have been nicer or more pleasant! He could see that we were a bit frazzled and got us checked in and squared away as quickly as he could The hotel lobby smelled fresh and clean

Our room was spotless The beds were well made, soft and fresh smelling as well Plenty of soft towels, plus a few extra face cloths in the bathroom – also spotless! Very nice stay on our way home I would definitely stay here again And a big thank you to Kevin again for being such a welcoming representative for this hotel!

Carrie Richards

The girls that are working here are awesome! I can’t say enough good things about them They helped us in so many ways We had a toilet overflow at night (which was not a hotel problem) and the night girl went above and beyond to help us

Then our rental car wouldn’t start and the morning girl tried to help us jump our car They were both so kind and helpful The hotel was nice and clean but your staff is awesome! They deserve raises for putting up with us!

Elizabeth Finegan

We stopped here on our drive fromNY to SC Wasn’t quite half way but it was such an easy book and check in with our toddler twins in the middle of the night The rooms were large, beds and pillows comfortable

We took a family trip to visit our son in Alexandria Va We have stayed in other hotels near here, but this time we wanted to bring our two small dogs along and this hotel is pet friendly And when I say friendly it’s an understatement

Everyone on staff made us feel right at home We stayed in a 2 Queen suite and the room was excellent Had a sofa bed and a small kitchen with full size refrigerator, large microwave and even a dishwasher The room was clean and the beds were very comfortable It had room darkening blinds so we got very restful sleep This hotel is close to so many stores and restaurants with Potomac Mills outlet mall right around the corner Easy access to I95 makes getting to and fro quite easy Added bonus of an indoor pool and great free breakfast!

Spent three nights for a wedding weekend, along with the wedding party and several other guests The room was reliably Hampton Inn comfortable The manager was not only accommodating to the group, he was also quite friendly, speaking whenever he saw us and engaging in conversation whenever we were waiting for someone to come down

He made sure to have our room serviced when we did not check out on Sunday I give extra credit to any hotel with waffles for breakfast The rest of the breakfast fare was pretty typical Two things to know: 1 Parking, while adequate, is mostly not convenient to the main entrance 2 There are no restaurants within walking distance, but the hotel has a list of nearby places

Trent

This was a wonderful place The room was very clean and well organized and had a work area, refrigerator, microwave, etc the room was full sanitized and sealed prior to check in

There were multiple hand sanitizer stations throughout the hotel Hot and fresh coffee was available in the lobby 24/7 and there was a very well stocked mini-store for late night munchies There was a full breakfast in the mornings from 6 to 10 There was also free WiFi
