This place never fails to disappoint Front desk staffing is bizarre and very unprofessional

usually looking at their cellphones If you are expecting housekeeping, again you’ll be disappointed Recently stayed there 6 nights and my room was serviced ONCEand the trash was not emptied I would imagine they spent all of 3 minutes in my room The only good thing about this property is it’s location near the 205 freeway and the Safeway within walking distance

I never leave reviews but this place should be out of business I just wanted the hot tub, a long shower, and a bite at the bistro Hot tub out of order

Pool dirty and cold (seriously how are there two dead mosquitos in an indoor pool?) I got locked in the pool room and had to call the desk to get out (fire hazard anyone?!) Shower had no water pressure at all, no shower gel, and no shower door so the bathroom floor was flooded with water I unfold a bath towel and three long black curly hairs fall out I have short purple hair I called to order dinner from The Bistro, and the general manager says they haven’t opened it ever I tried to buy a snack for dinner at the all-night convenience store , but all they had on the shelves were 2 bottles of Pepsi and one bag of chips I walked to the 7-11 across the street and when I came back, the room (where I set the thermostat at 60) was an oven I have nothing good to say about this hotel

I am hotel employee from another chain (from out of the area)That being said I am very picky with the places I stay and knowing Marriot standards I hold everyone to a high standard While the parking light isn’t the safest it seems (where is safe in Portland?), I was very happy with the hotel itself

I as really impressed with the cleanliness of our room, how comfortable the bed was and the design of everything I always hated seeing the microwave and fridge in rooms, it was cool to see them hide it all! The cleanliness was a 10/10, the maintenance was 9/10 (Couple of snags on the walls no biggy, and I really enjoyed the layout of the shower! Smart to put the knob close to the door so you don’t have to get wet with cold water Oh, and the soaps were fantastic! Wife and I also visited the hot tub and pool area was exceptionally clean I really liked the upgraded tiles and trim VS the standard pool look It really made the area look sterile, clean and nice! Although the gigantic wholes cut into the ceiling were a bit of a turn off (Maintenance?) My least favorite thing from the visit was the Starbucks/bistro Not quite the same taste and not much offered Would definitely return and happy to see Marriott standards applied!

Being an avid traveler, I found it strange that there was no complementary bottled water in the room There was no breakfast for the entire hotel because 1 employee called in sick I found this unacceptable

The front desk lady came outside and aggressively yelled at me while I was throwing trash away at the front door trash can before taking my rental car back to the airport She stated that it appeared on security camera that I was digging in the trash She assumed I was a homeless person which I found VERY offensive I explained to her that I was a guest at the hotel She gave NO appology, rolled her eyes and Re entered the hotel without an apology She was thin, very short blonde hair and wore a paper mask I will not be giving any more of my money to your company

I’m giving 5 stars because 4 isn’t fair The location is great Yes it’s right off the highway and while in the parking lot traffic is loud—you can barely hear it from the room

The rooms have been renovated While smaller in size they maximize space efficiency and not in a bad way The room felt quite spacious I love using the app to check in—no waiting, texted the desk about a minor repair needed, and checked out without any contact

Theresa L

Stayed for 1 night after landing around midnight Check in was fast and the room was clean They even had a Guest of the Day welcome bag in my room which was thoughtful

Never gotten one before at any of my other Hilton stays lol Breakfast was pretty standard with plenty of options Plus for the crispy bacon and waffle machineThe only 2 things to note were: 1 The bathroom was small so no real counter space 2 There was no real closet to hang clothes Since we were only staying for 1 night, these weren’t deal breakers

Angela Barr

The room we stayed in had incredibly hard beds that gave us terrible back pain We’ve stayed in many, many hotels and expected softer beds for the price Also, we had to pay $50 to let our dog sleep in her own bed on the floor of the room when it is standard most places to charge $20

I could even understand charging a refundable deposit for damage, but an adult dog like ours who doesn’t make messes and came to sleep for 8 hours shouldn’t cost $50 extra On the positive side, it was nice to have warm cookies and water for the kids and the breakfast was decent and had some good options If the beds weren’t so hard I can barely walk today and I didn’t have to pay so much for my dog, I’d probably come back

This place is absolutely perfect Easy check in Toasty warm in December

Great breakfast food selection in the huge kitchen, even GF muffins! Beautiful quiet room… super clean everywhere The best neighborhood, easy to park yet all sorts of amenities within a 5 minute walk This house is absolutely gorgeous with so many beautiful details This place lacks nothing

rachael raftery

I was between ratings in this stay I have a relative that put us up in this guesthouse that lives in the area HIGHLY recommend the area as all the restaurants and shops are very walkable and such a beautiful area in a lively neighborhood

Contactless check in was a plus, we stayed in the Beverly cleary room which faces the front of the guesthouse keeping in mind spring to fall there is an ac unit in the window so you hear quite a bit (We turned on the fan feature and it drowned everything out) It was a large room with its own bathroom The public guest areas were very nice and always clean with breakfast accommodations and a fridge (Though they only had one tiny drawer for guests) My only reason for not doing 5 stars was because of a staff member who came off very cold and unwelcoming I believe she was actually one of the owners I heard someone in the hall so opened the door and as I stood in the doorway I say hello! And her response was “mask!” (These are required in their public areas at this time) I then say ok… we are staying here almost a week and we were just wondering if we could get more towels? She responds with “they are right next to you, As it states in the welcome letter Mind you this was a very brisk tone like we were being a nuisance Well I read and reread that letter and it says to ask if someone is available … so we were just following direction I have worked in all industries and would not talk a to patron this way Many different ways to have handled this Other than that there was a gentleman that was there on arrival, very nice, as well as the cleaning staff

***This review was written about a stay during COVID***Exceeded our expectations! The website photos did not do the room justice We stayed in the first floor studio and it was a lot larger than expected Bed was very comfortable, shower was very nice

Most important to us (we were traveling with a packed car) there was a parking lot attached to the property, we were able to move things very easily from our car to the roomBreakfast was grab and go, perfect for our situation Would gladly stay again next time we are in the PNW

We’ve been to several HIE hotels and none of them were in this shape Our room was old and smelled like smoke Uncomfortable mattress, smelly AC and you could hear the squeaky pipes from the guest showering around us

Certainly woke us up earlier than we wanted The attempt for cleanliness was there and we appreciated that Carlos was very nice Thank you We won’t be back here

Jennie Margaret

We stayed here for just under a week on a house hunting adventure (moving across the country) and it’s very much a Holiday InnCons-•The hot tub is basically crumbling and it took myself (and the two other people I was staying with) 3 goes with the shampoo to get the chlorine from the pool out of our hair•The pool is FREEZING! And the hot tub jets were out of order (these things happen, oh well)

•The pull out couch in our room was absolutely HORRIBLE! If you have a bad back, avoid the heck out of that pull out couch!•Drink vending machine was broken but that wasn’t too bad because they still sold said drinks at the front desk•One of the front desk staff (female with blonde hair) had such a bad and unnecessary attitude when we had to buy water at the front desk, only asked to buy water, didn’t ask for anything crazyBut I will say that our pros outweighed the cons just by the two male staff members we dealt with at the front counterPros-•The two male employees working the front desk (one was named Tristan I believe) were an absolute delight! Tristan (?) was saying how he had worked two 16 hour shifts that week and did breakfast by himself, give that man a raise!•Pet friendly!!•Very clean room!•When we booked our room, we explained that we would have a nervous dog with us so any rooms close to an exit for bringing her out would be preferable and they were happy to accommodate us•The housekeepers are so sweet if you need to ask for anything off the cart, they are so accommodating!•We also had to extend our stay two nights at the last moment and they were able to keep us in the same room which was fantastic! So aside from some littler stuff, we were pretty darn happy with our stay!

alicia ruiz

Rooms were clean, housekeeping was very helpful and friendly I stayed on the second floor farthest away from the elevator but it was very noisy at night and in the morning I could hear everything

We paid $167 a night and we stayed two nights A little pricey if you ask me It’s still the Holiday Inn

There is a lot to love about this place The beers, the winery, the decently prized food and it’s proximity to some beautiful waterfalls Nevertheless, there were somethings that rubbed me the wrong way

First, know that unless you specifically request it, the restrooms are shared While I can understand the appeal for some, I needed this to be more explicit prior to our booking We ended up getting a room with our own toilet and shower for an additional $50 a night (we stayed three nights) Second, the restaurants on sight offer mostly fried food I left that place full but feeling like I needed to do a detox for my arteries sake Just know what you are getting into before deciding to go with this place

Hannah

So much to do and so much fun! It was really nice walking around while waiting on our table to be ready You are able to stop at the different bars for drinks, there’s music, and just an overall great atmosphere The garden was beautiful to walk around and I cannot wait to go back to explore more

The food was delicious, drinks were tasty, and the service was great!

Robert Schindele

This is the only place I’ve been to where they could get 5 stars and be so outdatedThe atmosphere is amazing The facilities are unique

There are multiple bars all within a short walk of one another with their own drinksThe history and art are accessible and interesting I would highly recommend this place for a stay of a few nights

Stayed the weekend in the king bedroom Room was okay Wish the sofa turned into a sofa bed

The bathroom was tiny The door was about half an inch from the toilet, took some Tetris tricks to get inside and close the doorBreakfast was also decent Not a large variety of things at all but we got full so that’s goodPool had no towels, and the rooms only had 2 big towels for the entire weekend stay Went to ask front desk for more and they only had 2 floor towel mats avail As towels

I’ve stayed in Best Westerns for many, many years and have only had an issue in the last few years I’m not sure if their quality standards are just going down or what but it hasn’t been pleasantFirstly, the staff the counter when we arrived was super rude

Strangely so, in fact Didn’t really think anything of it and went to our rooms One of our rooms was fine The otherwas disgusting-The beds may or may not have been completely cleaned The surfaces had CLEARLY not been cleaned off as they still have crumbs and some random debris from the previous guests-The remote, which they put in this nice little covering saying they’ve cleaned it, was still covered in some sort of gunk and grease like someone had been eating chips and handling it -The closet doors didn’t open properly to access the hanging area and the safe On the front of closet doors there are mirrors which has some sort of mystery residue that dripped down the front of them-The couch looks like it belongs in a dumpster Truly gross enough that no one wanted to use it Several stains all over it and had a rather musty stench-The smoke detector had been pulled down out of the ceiling and wrapped in a T shirt or pillow case it looked like Likely from a previous guest wrapping it up to smoke or something So that was a nice worryNow, once we mentioned this to the counter the woman got rather snappy with us, the guests, about how it will be handled She told us she would send up someone to look at the smoke detector(which never happened) and that there was nothing that could be done about switching rooms or cleaning The most she could do is give our information to the manager to be contacted Monday to discuss a refund Which of course never happened and we are still waitingAs someone who’s worked in a hotel I can typically sympathize with the workers However, when they do absolutely nothing to fix a clear problem with their rooms it leaves a bad taste in the mouth for future consideration of staying at these hotelsEDIT: And then, after reviewing the information and admitting their mistake, they still do not offer us a refund or partial refund Ridiculous management

Peace

Location was super convenient Sad that there was construction going on and the car dealership next door had car alarms going off about every few hours day and night The room had some literal scorch marks from prior guests which hadn’t been repaired yet

Would stay again for convenience to activities

The best hostel!!!!! I stayed here for a week (in a private queen room) and couldn’t fault it at all Super modern, clean and awesome The rooftop bar was a huge plus, although not open every night so be aware of that

Great location to get to downtown on the bus or walk to some cool restaurants Staff were lovely Seriously can’t stop thinking about how cool the place was, wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again I’ve stayed in a lot of hostels before and this genuinely was the nicest Don’t miss it!

Samantha Georgi

Great idea, has potential, lacking in executionI stayed in one of the 4 bed female dorms for 2 nights I was very excited about a new hostel in Portland

I’ve stayed in many a European hostel so am familiar with the structure and price bracket The facility is clean and modern and the attached cafe and rooftop bar are nice amenities Unfortunately I was too exhausted the first night to check out the rooftop bar, and on the second night it was mostly blocked off for a private event that appeared to also block the computer room area, which I was planning to use I wish that guests were priority in the use of space, especially considering that the price for 2 nights came to $103 total for a dorm room which is higher than most hostelsThe layout of the shared dorms is great in theory – enter into a common area with a small locker for luggage storage and 2 toilets/2 showers shared by 3 – 4 bed dorm rooms which are accessed through this room I would think the intention behind this is to keep non-sleeping activities out of the quiet spaces for sleeping However, the lockers are too small so luggage ends up in the room anyway The photos on the website failed to show single window dorm rooms, which have a more claustrophobic feel The bunks don’t seem to be bolted to the wall, which allows them to shake a fair bit when getting in or outThe most disappointing part of the layout is that despite what seems like careful planning of intentional quiet spaces, the doors are all THE loudest self closing doors in a space with no sound absorption so you constantly hear the slam of doors at any hour someone comes in or uses the bathroom I understand rugs would be hard to keep clean, but some kind of sound absorption paired with soft-close doors would be a huge upgrade to this spaceOverall, the hostel served it’s purpose of offering a reasonably affordable and clean place to stay in a great location And all the staff I encountered seem great

Peter Custer

Perfect place to launch a college reunion trip Lolo Pass was ideal for our group and we used a ton of the first-class accommodations We enjoyed the rooftop views, the coffee at the cafe and even participated in a local wine tasting event held in the lobby

The staff was friendly and helpful…Steering us to a great meal within close walking distanceRoom was clean and quiet Highly recommend

Just a very clean and well maintained motel Best Motel in the area for price and accommodations I think I could tell immediately when I walked in for check-in that the management of this motel truly cares about its guests

When I arrived in my room I was not disappointed and had a very restful /relaxing stay If ever I’m back in the Portland area, this will by my motel of choice

Cheyenne Smith

We stayed for several weeks recently due to an unexpected family emergency The hotel staff made a stressful time easier by being friendly and accommodating Special shout out to Devin and Alex at the front desk for their exceptional customer service

Also thanks to the housekeeping staff for taking care of our needs while being friendly and non-intrusive Rooms are clean and bright with minifridges, there is fresh coffee in the lobby until evening, a complimentary continental breakfast is served each morning, and there is also a workout room, pool (which was closed during our stay due to Covid), and laundry facilities We will definitely stay here again in the future Thank you, Quality Inn!

Denny Radford

Staff was very friendly and very accommodating This hotel is definitely in a desperate need of a revamp Dirty carpet in the hallways ripped in places boards move under the carpet as you walk down the hall

The room itself is spacious Much need as an updated TV older style Our room had a cracked window Found mold in the bathroom Breakfast in the morning was very very basic Not much to choose from other than Make your own waffle A muffin or yogurt I did a survey after a visit and received an email from the manager apologizing that they would notify the proper management heads and please give us a try again Basically what it comes down to is you get what you pay for Unfortunately I probably would not return

The service can be very slow Not a place for anyone in a hurry It’s a very laid back kind vibe Don’t be surprised if you have to track down your server after 2 hr to pay your bill But if have a day with nothing planned and want an amazing environment definitely worth the trip

My wife and I came to relax and enjoy our 1 year anniversary We arrived around 12:30 pm

and from the reviews we read ( the reviews said to expect a long wait for service) figured we would grab something to eat and by the time we were done it would be check in time at 3 We were seated, served and full by 1:30 Next we decided to take a stroll through the neighborhood as the weather was nice, it was peaceful and history to be seen if you take your time and look Ran across a nice little herbal medicinal shop ( for those 21 and up) a couple blocks up and scored some really nice smelling scented candles from the glass shop next door We made it back to the hotel around 2 stopped at the front desk to see if they did early check-in and was in the room by 2:15 The room was clean and comfortable and the movie theater well, it was a pleasant and very comfortable experience and a good movie Well let’s just say this was most definitely a good experience that I’m glad we have

The staff and amenities here are great Pool and hot tub are 24/7 Destiny and Taylor were two staff members that we interacted with & made our stay enjoyable

They work so hard and wear so many hats, I couldn’t do it, but they do it with a smileBreakfast was versatile, about what you would expect I eat super healthy so the food wasn’t necessary my cup of tea But for a weekend is was fine Biscuits and gravy were a special treatThey also have coffee available in lobby at all times, a nice bonusRooms were nice, I slept great in the bed Everything was clean enoughI would stay here again and recommend to all seeking accommodations

Very impressed with the personable nature of check-in The nice young man at the counter (Taylor, I believe?) was extremely busy, checking in several people, yet when I walked in the door, his face lit up, he gave me a big wave and a smile, and said that he’d be right with me I was so surprised that I turned to see who he was looking at behind me

It was as if we were long lost friends He was fast and efficient, got through everyone quickly, was very courteous and friendly, told me exactly how to get in, best place to park, etc etc I do travel a lot, and such a warm response has NOT been the norm lately, unfortunately Seriously, he was so nice that I kept wondering if somehow we knew each other, but I noticed that he treated everyone the same way Very cool! It sure helps to relax and settle down when the check-in is so pleasant The motel was nice, everything seemed to be in “like-new” condition, room was clean, with hardwood(luxury vinyl) floors, so no worries about dust, allergies, and dirty carpet Bed was very comfy, not too soft or firm, with lots of extra pillows My only complaint was breakfast time: It didn’t open until 7 am during the week, which seems a bit late (maybe because it was still the tail-end of COVID?) I had to be out of there by 6:30 so I couldn’t comment on the quality of their breakfast, but at least they had fresh coffee for me to grab as I left, and, there is a Safeway next door, so there was plenty of fresh baked goods and food to grab and go nearby

Great little spot Room was super clean and the none carpet was awesome! Our 2 little dogs liked all the spots to sit and the fact that the window opened out to a green spaceThe breakfast was as expected—decent

Pool was great!!If we’re in the area again we’d stay here for sure

One of the better Courtyards I’ve stayed at The main lobby was very spacious and had many lounge sofas and the interior was decorated beautifully I was surprised this location didn’t have a pool which I was looking forward to use

The 24hr gym has decent amount of equipments and was well kept I was surprised there was even a bike trail behind the hotel which I made use of The trail cut thru the forest behind the hotel so it was a nice quiet place away from city noise

I am a traveling nurse I started with 4 other nurses I showed up, on a Sunday and was unable to lock in a price for nurses

Was told to speak to the manager J Paul, the next day He offered me $149 a night, or whatever price was on the website, for that day My stay for Sunday was $116, the next next it was $150 Aqua, the check in lady, said it would be lower than $113 for the rest of my stay Another, younger, better looking nurse got a rate of $113, for the same contract, that I am working We are 5 women, that wanted to stay together, but he was not about to help us, as we traveled to his town, to help out his communityThe was no breakfast, for $149, no muffin, no juice My shower didn’t drain My TV turned off, every few hours, to reboot I had a great view, in the back, of the homeless, living in the woods If you want a different view, get a room in the front Stains on the chair and bedspread Housekeeping entered my room, without knockingThey charge high prices, for motel 6 qualityThe other nurse, left the same day as myself We are now at a Hilton property, for much less, with nicer rooms and free breakfastI am letting all my fellow travel nurses know, avoid the Marriott They don’t like nurses

The service was kind, the place was clean, and it slept us all My only reason for 3 stars is that I had booked a king with a separate seating area, shown with a door dividing This is perfect for our family

They seemingly just put us in any room, asking if we had a floor preference, and we ended up in a standard king No privacy for the kiddo, and no reduction in charges

The room was well cleaned but the queen sized bed room I booked was smaller than I expected I appreciated there was a nice size refrigerator and microwave in room Also the closet was a good size but no luggage rack to put luggage on

The hotel has breakfast included in price which was decent and free parking The staff was friendly and helpful too Free shuttle to and from airport Also I really liked the indoor pool and jacuzzi Overall, I would recommend

Nayo S

The air conditioner filters should be cleaned after every stay I pulled on up and dog hair flew out It also made the room smell

Breakfast area felt cold and not very inviting Not enough parking spots The room didn’t have a luggage rack Wish they had trays for breakfast so we could carry multiple items back to room Breakfast attended should also be more visibleThe beds were comfortable I didn’t have to ask for a different pillow so that’s another plus The front desk was attentive

Cole Croley

Decent place to stay & Very close to airportShady area though & if you are a light sleeper you can hear the planes at nightAlso, no matter what though, try not to stay in room 302 or any other rooms similar (like above or below

The room is next to a service room with loud equipment, the flood lights outside that light up the entrance are aimed right at this rooms window & this room is next to the elevatorNow the Breakfast here is Freaking fantastic! Absolutely wonderful foods! They even have a mini waffle 🧇 maker I suggest you get up early though & hit the Breakfast right at 6am when it starts The rooms do have a microwave & mini fridgeEverything in our room was clean & ready when we checked in tooStaff was also super friendly

What a gem! This was the perfect place for a quick little getaway The staff were friendly and accommodating, our room was beautiful and comfortable, and we loved sipping our morning coffee in the atrium I’m not a fan of inflated “5-star” reviews but I truly can’t think of anything that would have made our stay nicer

Even the breakfast place they sent us to (Natalia’s) was awesome Definitely worth a visit!

Robin Ohman

I had what they referred to as a European style room

shared bathroom was across the hall And indeed I have encountered this a few times over the years while traveling Europe No problem the shared bath was huge with a great shower The room itself was very clean with all amenities and a small sink in the corner Staff was friendly and efficient It is a funky little boutique hotel perfectly located in what turned out to be a great little downtown area in Camas, Oregon

I could not recommend this hotel more! We stayed in the honeymoon suite for the week of our wedding and it was absolutely perfect! The staff was friendly and attentive, the room was so comfortable and charming, and everything about the hotel and town is just so cute, we can’t wait to come back! I loved going over to Natalia’s for our complimentary breakfast each morning too the portions are huge, the space is adorable and the coffee was delicious!

Mary Bootsie Ragan

We had such a good time on our first stay, that we decided to book the same tiny Bamboo house, for a second timeSadly, it was in a bit of disrepair- missing light fixture, absent kitchen ware, etc As directed, I had requested sheets for the pull-out couch; no sheets were waiting for us on arrival

Maybe we will try a different house, next time

Bridget Van Well

Almost a week after checkout my boyfriend and I keep saying how much we miss tiny digs! We stayed for a short weekend and had the best time in our tiny home There were some issues with my reservation but Leanne was so helpful in getting everything sorted Just be weary in winter times there is a shortage of hot water and only a space heater

This didn’t affect us much as we still greatly enjoyed our stay Can’t wait to come back during our next time in Portland

Tiff Freccero

My sister and I stopped here for a night on our roadtrip up north, and absolutely loved it! Clean, comfortable and very functional for a small space I loved the bathroom! We chose the tiny home that was dog friendly, and it was a great match A ton of restaurants in walking distance

We loved the german one right around the corner! I would highly recommend a stay here again
