Room is okay Service at front desk was fairly good but the General Service is one star because I stayed in the rooms for a week without Room Service

not even to come by and take out the trash out Not surprise though, it typical of the hotel, they belief the community they provide service to should clean up after themselves or they will report them to their superiorHoo-ha Btw, this is not the 1st, 2nd or 3rd time this will happen across the State ( Note: I’m not generalising, but just saying it’s because of their location and the community they provide service to)

I loved this hotel from check-in, breakfast to check out The amenities are kept in excellent condition Some amenities standard to this hotel typically include washer/ dryer, gym, outdoor grill, basketball court

The staff were all pleasant and welcoming With COVID-19 on another rise, I absolutely appreciated the way the hotel kept track of spaces that needed sanitized The breakfast tables had signs if they still needed cleaning between use, the elevator was mopped and cleaned at intervals and teamwork was evident The staff wore their mask and offered help to their peers in other areas

Our stay at the Fort Jackson IHG was tremendous Our experience was just as positive as it was in previous visits there The folks there are very gracious and attentive, from the breakfast attendants to the front desk

The room was nice and clean We did not notice any noise or inability to sleep due to loudness, the room was very quiet Our room was cleaned in a timely manner and they left extra towels like we requestedIt was a relief to have a nice breakfast each morning for the family I was just really impressed with our stay and can’t say enough When I read reviews I am always concerned with the environment and cleanliness, which for us at this hotel was great! Thanks again IHG Fort Jackson staff!

Great stay! I travel often for work and it’s the little conveniences that make the difference The hotel is newly renovated and they did a great job freshening it up The bistro/Starbucks in the lobby makes it super convenient for coffee and meals

The room is nicely equipped, especially for a work trip The bed was comfy The road noise was minimal, even though the hotel is close to a highway The AC fan ran smoothly throughout the night (vs start/stopping) The room felt clean and I slept greatAnd the gym is great! Clean, modern equipment, and tons of spaceWould definitely stay here again

Rachel & Brian Gallagher

This hotel was filthy Looked like the person that cleaned the room just made the bed and cleared the garbage cansThere was a dirty knife on the floor, a smell as though someone foul had just been in the room seconds before I checked in, the blankets in the closet were balled up and thrown up there, no iron to be found, and every single time I flushed the toilet I had to lift the lid and fix the chain

Just grossExtra star is for the pleasant front desk staff, they were amazing through and through

Amy Lafferty

I booked a room for my boyfriend through Expedia He showed up and booked a second room not realizing there was already a reservation The front desk receptionist did not notice that there were now two bookings under my boyfriends name and they charged us for two rooms

We were told by the receptionist that he would contact his manager regarding a refund on the unused room Expedia also called the hotel and was told the same thing Last night the manager denied a refund So we paid for two rooms and only used one It would’ve been common courtesy to refund due to the mistake on both parties parts, my boyfriend for not understanding he already had a reservation and the receptionist who did not check for his reservation under the same name We will never use this hotel again We will drive 20 further and book elsewhere

Our family attended a wedding weekend in Columbia and we booked 3 rooms at the Chestnut Cottage Bed & Breakfast From the moment we stepped into the parlor of this historical home we met the owner Mary Sparrow and was immediately delighted we had selected this remarkable B&B The house is loaded with history, beautifully appointed furnishings & the best of charm! The guest rooms were large, beautifully decorated with small touches like flowers in our room, bottles of water, chocolates, etc

but my favorite touch was the delicious breakfasts served every morning gathered together in the dining room Another favorite was the front porch swing and the rocking chairs As you know, a swing soothes the soul and the porch was magical at night! If your plans take you to Columbia, just call Mary she can tell you everything about the history, sites and dining in the area – she is an encyclopedia of knowledge My family can’t wait to visit Columbia and enjoy the pleasure of what the Chestnut Cottage B&B adds to ones life – Culture, Comfort & true Southern Hospitality!

The most beautiful place we could have stayed on our overnight trip to Columbia Mary was so accommodating and made our stay here wonderful! The property is so rich in history and adorned with beautiful antiques Our room was clean, spacious, and even stocked with complimentary waters! Patticake, the resident cat made our night in the cottage even better! I would recommend this bed and breakfast to anyone passing through or planning a stay in Columbia

It is also within a block from the Township Auditorium, making our trip to the concert we were attending a breeze Thank you for the lovely time, Mary We will definitely be staying here again

Had a great stay! We stayed in the Garden Suite room and it was a perfect space for us for one night! Mary had the room ready to go for us right when we got there After we left, I had forgotten my glasses and called Mary and she was super helpful and found them for me and sent them in the mail She was so sweet and awesome! Would definitely recommend!

Stayed 2 nights here Excellent facilities Staff is very friendly

Suites were clean, stocked with dishes, regular refrigerator Bathrooms/showers were a dream Room was large with a king bed & hide-a-bed sofa Curtain that can be pulled between the 2, for privacy, if the hide-a-bed is being used Breakfast bar was hot with healthier food & more options than most hotels we’ve stayed at, including fresh fruit, multigrain waffles, bagels, oatmeal, and multiple toppings for all of the above Pet friendly with a fee It’s worth the fee to stay here rather than go to a cheaper hotel with no pet fee I have nothing negative to say about this location We usually try to find hotels < $100/night, but they all (in Columbia) had so many negative reviews that I opted to pay more this time So glad I did We loved it here Loved the desk staff & breakfast bar staff Would stay here again in a heartbeat

K G

Very clean new feeling hotel We stay almost exclusively at Home2Suites because they offer 3 beds in an incredibly spacious room with full kitchens This location was very good

Breakfast slightly lacking with weak coffee and minimal options The bed mattresses vary by location but we slept exceptionally well here! It was quiet and all we needed halfway between VA and FL

JJFlesch

We booked directly with the hotel Ebony and I went through the list of room types We chose the king suite (separate king room) and were given a Hilton Honors rate

Upon arrival, we were given a different style room at a higher rate than quoted They were also apparently full, so no changesOur room was clean as expected However, 2 of the 4 wall-mounted toiletry accessories were emptyOn checkout, I hoped to address the issues with a manager but was told there was no manager on duty on the weekends I was told I would receive a phone call; it did not happenThe customer behind me was equally startled to learn there was no manager as the bed in her room had not been madeWe missed part of what we had hoped to have for breakfast as some items were not available

The rooms are dated, which is not an enormous issue, but they’re also not clean We rented a suite with two bedrooms; the rooms were not clean, the kitchen was tiny; the trash/recycling bins were the size of a tic tac container (obviously exaggerating) Going down to breakfast the woman was incredibly angry for reasons unknown; and then shortly thereafter she was very chipper

Coke much? Bugs, stained rooms, odd AC; not the worst place at which we’ve stayed, but we’ll never stay here again You can clearly hear rooms above and below Maybe our experience was an anomaly We hope so If you have alternatives: exercise them

Indera Chandler

Thank you so much Joseph for making it right! After an eight hour drive from NOVA we arrived to the hotel and was given the wrong room type, but had to contend since it was very late and they were fully booked Nevertheless, Joseph was phenomenal with ensuring we were satisfied customers the next morning Thank you Joseph for great customer service

Susan Signore-Smith

I want to thank Shakeem at the front desk for being so helpful We were scheduled to stay overnight Jan 6-Jan 7, 2022 I called the day before we were leaving and asked if we should cancel because of a potential snowstorm in the north

He recommended I do so and assured me there were plenty of rooms availableWe were able to leave as planned so I called him en route to make a reservation When we arrived he greeted us enthusiastically! This hotel allows pets and just charges $50 The rooms were clean and sanitized so well there were no odors from previous a dogs or cats

We stayed at this hotel this past weekend and the stay was great! Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful Honestly all of the staff that we encountered was very nice The hotel is in a good location close to a lot of food and retail stores

The room was large and decorated very well My husband loved, loved the king bed! We would definitely stay here again I’m giving 4 stars out of 5 because the room was a little dusty and could have been touched up before our check in But overall a really good stay!

naomi rosenberg

The staff was professional but very welcoming and accommodating It is a pet friendly facility, so I had my dog and there were no problems with this either The room was very clean and comfortable

Every member of the staff I met, including the front desk, breakfast area, and cleaning staff were friendly and asked if there was anything I needed All of the appliances worked well There was plenty of hand sanitizer throughout the hotel in high traffic areas Very nice individual soaps etc in addition to large wall mounted bottles of soaps and lotion were of good quality and very welcome The location was close to family which is the other reason we chose this hotel It was the nicest Hampton Inn I have stayed in over my many years of experience

B Love

Location was good For this hotel to be a few yrs old in this new location, I guess I expected more for what I paid, but you get what you pay for as the saying goes and what I paid was still much in my eyes Anyway I reserved the King Rm with Sofa Bed sue to sleep issues

Thought I’d be able to elevate my feet and just sleep upright on the couch, but apparently that’s not the case The couch looks and felt very old, dingy, and used The desk chair is not comfortable at all One of the pillows had yellow stains on the pillow case The floor or carpet still had dried food droppings on it and the shower had brown straight hair in it and on the shower wall as if housekeeping took the same rag from wherever and just dragged it across the shower wallor maybe not cleaned it all 🤔 mines is black and coarse I brought my own cleaning supplies & wipes like I usually do Just think 🤔 a little attention to detail can go along way & some much needed maintenance from the furniture to the walls The walls in the room look like someone tried to paint over paint mistakes or just simply gave up trying to paint period I may try the location at Lexington if I do stay at the Hampton Inn again

I would have given a zero (0) star if I could On Thursday, 5th May 2022, I had my worst hotel experience with this specific hotel I called and made a reservation

Everything was set, and we were good to go I drove there at 8 pm to grab the key Surprise! The receptionist asked me my home address and said that because I live within 30 Miles, they could not give me the room, which I could understand However, as an IHG member (Platinum Elite), my address and payment card were in the system when booking the room They knew or should know that She even thanked me for being a valuable member Why didn’t they refuse my reservation right away and waited until 8 pm? Sad, upset, and frustrated, I stepped outside and tried to call several other hotels (around 8:30 pm) Obviously, there was no availability for us at that time I had to sleep OUTSIDE, in the car, with my wife and two kids I will never, never, never, never, never, and never go back again or recommend this specific hotel to anyone Worst customer service ever

Pamela Marie

We stayed here for one night against my better judgment I didn’t see the reviews about the cockroaches until a day before we stayed and it was too late for us to cancel The lady at the front desk was super super nice

I did appreciate her But my daughter (17) saw a giant cockroach at the pool (which she said was disgustingly dirty) And I saw cockroaches running up the wall in the morning while we were packing to leave Made me cringe This location has an actual cockroach problem and needs an exterminator I gave 2 stars because of the candor of the front desk lady I did not take a picture but I can confirm the sofa in the picture another reviewer posted was also the same sofa in our room (Fridge was also dirty)

Zane Campbell

Very kind service and clean as well The person we had was very kind and even gave us directions to the Pizza Hut nearby We asked if they had any educator discount, and we got a room that would have been $150 to $125 and she was kind about looking too

The breakfast was free and good Some food was slightly cold The bathrooms and suits were clean One of the elevators going down was stuck, but when pressing the manual open door button , it opened Thank you holiday in for accommodating our stay!

My husband and I stayed a night here for the Elton John concert I was very impressed Felt like a newer building and had multiple entries that only opened with a room key so it felt safe

The staff were all very friendly and helpful The entire building felt clean and welcoming Our room was small but based on the photos I knew that going in The bed was comfortable and clean, the bathroom was clean and organized with towels set up and easy to get to I loved the dispensers for the soaps and shampoos The shower was beautiful and everything just felt nice The breakfast was so much better than expected You had your basics of yogurt, an apple, bagels and cereal, but they also had oatmeal, eggs, sausage, pancakes and English muffins Would absolutely come here again Easy check in and even easier check out Well lit parking lot and felt like a safe area over all Thank you so much!

This is the second Tru in which I have stayed Much like the other Tru, it is decorated in a modern minimalist style Rooms are very small but clean and with comfortable beds

The lobby has a billiards table and an array of little nooks for reading or doing work Staff was very friendly and the hotel is located near the zoo and Saluda Riverwalk Only reason it is not 5 stars is the room size This is Columbia, SC, not Manhattan, there is no reason a modern hotel room should be this small

We stayed here for just one night It was a great stop to break up a long road trip The staff was soooo friendly

Our room was spotless Breakfast was great The nice lady at the front desk made it a point to converse with my children upon check in She was very friendly They were so great that we booked them again for our trip back home

Mitchell Teeters

First let me say that the staff was excellent Friendly and helpful and sincereNow the dings

Floor of handicap room (entire room) felt like you were sticking to it Kind of funny until later You could see a haze on the floor in the reflection Not a big deal initially, INITIALLY We got in late so we just wanted to go to bed, then up early Not by choice The sun shade was broken and guess what, we are facing East, yay!So up we go Last night I was excited to have a decent shower stall (I’ve had a stroke impacting my entire right side)!I went to use the shower and nope The plastic slider and spray nozzle weren’t working I got it back together and when I turned on the water the base was spraying almost as much as the sprayer This was where it got sporty Remember the haze on the floor? Yep, I had to get the wife to help me out The bathroom turned into a skating rink No shower today I guess I’ll was my hair in the sink Wife could use it but I can’t Also the lights near the bed flicker, kind of makes me think of the Artemis hotelI went to breakfast which was very nice Clean and friendly!I never felt that the staff did not appreciate the issue The manager was extremely nice, and she could empathize having had to family members that had had strokes as well I believe truly that they’re going to take care of the issues, let’s hope they do! I am optimistically will

Jaimie Small

Great staff and experience! I worked with Tracey to plan a last minute wedding rehearsal in the meeting space She made sure to consistently communicate with me and my family regarding our needs to ensure the setup was correct She was there when we arrived to begin setup and followed up after the event

I look forward to working with this location again!

Pros – very friendly staff, very clean, pretty good pandemic breakfast offerings compared to similar hotels It’s close to plenty of places to eat (some very close, some a 5-7 minute drive)

and it’s pretty close to both I20 and I77 The rooms are well laid out and the furniture is mostly non-porous material which is a good call since sitting on used upholstered furniture was kind of gross pre-pandemicCons – I use a white noise machine so it wasn’t much of an issue but the road noise problem is real here, my windows either didn’t close properly or were so thin as to seem like they were open Also, the bed was NOT comfortable, I also don’t think it was a queen but that didn’t matter since it was just me; DD slept on the pullout and said also very uncomfortable There is a Cracker Barrel right next door and there were trucks there with their headlights pointing at the hotel, we were on the 3rd floor so not an issue but I do wonder if it could be an issue on lower floors

LORETTA WHITE

Christopher and Loretta White and we really enjoyed our stay and the breakfast was really good and we sending out a very Special thank you to Mrs Paula and Mrs Terry services was really nice and very polite and pleasant and they was such a blessing to us and we enjoyed our stay we traveled all the way From Tampa Florida and we loved it there

And the manager from 3- 11 Stephanie made us really feel like we were at home and she has a great personality and we must come back to visit We had a great stay there

Jennifer Cipullo

Overall a pretty good stay with the caveat of checking in and checking outAs would be suggested by the name, the whole idea behind the hotel is that people often stay for longer periods of time I stayed here for just under two weeks while transitioning between houses

I stayed in a King studio which was very comfortable and a great size for one person Housekeeping in particular was excellent, replacing items such as soap, dishwasher detergent, etc at a good frequency The included breakfast is a fine grab-and-go type set up I used the laundry facilities once They are coin operated only, which in the year 2022 as society moves farther and farther away from cash was a little annoying I was able to easily get $4 in quarters from the front desk however, thankfully The dryers, however… really… didn’t… work When the door was opened at the end of the cycle, steam and some heat came out but the clothes were still very damp I didn’t want to bother going downstairs to get more change and wait another hour for the clothes to *maybe* get slightly less damp so I air dried them on all the various pieces of furniture in my roomFinally, we come to the biggest annoyance of the stay LUGGAGE CARTS I’ve unfortunately since Covid found that luggage carts are harder and harder to find across all hotels However, at a Residence Inn where people are often staring for weeks at a time, you really need more than two or three I think I only saw a total of three the whole time Of course, not when I needed them When I first checked in, the desk agent checked the security cameras, didn’t find any and just shrugged and said “sorry” I should point out that when I checked in, I was 19 weeks pregnant and my room (341) is on the highest floor and the farthest room from the elevators if you look at the floor plan Thank goodness on check in after waiting around for a bit and trying to gather some things for my car, I spotted another guest with two luggage carts and begged him to let me use oneUnfortunately, I was not so lucky on check out So at 21 weeks pregnant I made 4 trips up and down to my car, partly using the elevator, partly using the stairs just because they were so much closerThis really leaves a sour taste given that again, these negative experiences happen on check in and check outOtherwise though, a relatively quite stay, however Good black out curtains (I work night shifts partly) and I felt very secure in the hotel as all doors except the front door require keycard accessOverall, I would recommend this hotel to able-bodied people If you have an disabilities or have lots of luggage and not lots of people to help you deal with it, stay elsewhere35/5 stars

If you’re looking for a spacious room here is your place We enjoyed our two bedroom suite w/two bathrooms & full kitchen Breakfast was nice as well as the M-W social hour! Wasn’t happy the pool was operational but it had some repairs in place Be careful going out the traffic is heavy and is in need of a stop light Our beds slept great, complimentary Dove body wash& shampoo products were a plus Thank you Staybridge for an awesome ladies trip this week😊

From reception to culinary to housekeeping to maintenance; this is one of the nicest most accommodating hotels I have stayed in!!! We had an extended stay there for my job and were made to feel like family It was clean, well maintained, and the staff are phenomenal The food was very good and had a nice variety

Will definitely stay there again if my assignment takes me back!!

A reservation does not guarantee a room! Confirm your reservation Multiple times! My wife and I were thrilled when we found a two bedroom suite that would accommodate us, our two year old toddler, and our dog We accepted the elevated price, acknowledging the elevated price to ensure a comfortable and restful night’s sleep for all

It was quite a shock and disappointment for us to discover the day of our arrival that our reservation had been altered our reservation to two separate, non-adjoined rooms, all without any attempt to contact us to alert us of the changeSince we arrived late in the evening, we were unable to speak to a manager until the next day (Friday) in an attempt to resolve the issue Upon doing so, we were offered a partial refund on the room However, when we were contacted towards the end of the day we were informed that the refund would be a small fraction of what was originally offered and, to receive the full amount, we would need to contact the site we booked through After doing so, the booking site informed us that the hotel would not approve the refund and our attempt to contact the hotel directly has resulted in no responseWhile it can be expected that unforeseen circumstances will arise which require both business and customer to adjust, the failure to communicate these changes and the blatant refusal to follow through with the offered partial refund is absolutely unacceptableOn top of this, the indoor pool on premises, which our daughter was very excited about, had an Out of Order sign up all weekend Even when we were assured by the front desk that we were allowed to go in, the pool was so heavily chlorinated that it was uncomfortable to stay for more than 15 minutesThe saving graces for all of this, and the only reasons why this receives a two star review, is that the rooms themselves were very well kept and the beds were comfortableI will not be doing business with this company again in the future based on these interactions

I have never stayed at a hotel with such super friendly staff! We checked in, in the middle of the night Shandreal got us right into our room, and couldn’t have been any nicer! We loved her hospitality!! ❤️ Their breakfast was very good, with a great variety of foods Our room was clean, and the beds were comfortable

The weight room had plenty of updated equipment, and the outdoor pool was clean If we’re ever in the area again, we will definitely stay here! 😊👍💕

Excellent nighttime desk clerk, Kim, who could not have been better She was alone on duty and did an excellent job of checking in guests, answering guests’ questions, and answering the phone She did all of this and was a delight to deal with

Public area very nicely done Very good breakfast offerings and service to keep it all well stocked On the flip side, the room cleanliness was abysmal in some areas The carpet was grungy, our feet stuck to the floor in the bathroom and turned our socks black with dirt The worse was the desk chair: Cloth and stained beyond belief We wanted it out of the room Very difficult to make adjustments to the thermostat and could not stop the fan from running The beds were very acceptable in their cleanliness, however The floor and desk chair filth assures us we will never return to this location

Stayed here for a business trip! Ms Kim at the front desk made me feel super welcome! She makes some yummy cookies! Also, the lady working breakfast this morning (I didn’t catch her name) went out of her way to check the weather for me! Excellent customer service! Room was also very clean!! I wish I received this level of customer service everywhere I traveled!!

In these days when you see so many hotel reviews speak about the poor quality of service or cleanliness, this hotel was a breath of fresh air It was clean It was very well run

There was a very good breakfast The bed was comfortable but sufficiently firm The bathroom towels were better quality We were graciously welcome by the front desk Our only suggestion is that blackout curtains be installed over the bedroom windows

Teresa Abney

My room was very clean although I still sprayed lysol The staff was very friendly and accommodating Breakfast was good especially the bacon

It was cooked to perfection The only downsides were the water pressure and hot water ran out very fast The pool did not have any pool side chairs for laying out There were also no outside outlets for the outside area There were also and outside in the sitting area Finally, a bag of cheerios was $400 all and all it was a good stay

Bonnie Peters

Teresa at the front desk was amazing Very personable and pleasant Made our check in a good experience since we were very tired and unorganized

I hope this stay improves So far customer service is very rude I’m assuming that Fairfield is better than this

This does not want me to come backThe rooms are clean enough Hallways are good It’s just the customer service But that’s the first impression When you walk into the door you expect to be greeted and pleasant atmosphere You expect the employee to be helpful I’m not sure if they’re having a bad day but this is not good

An odd stop It was late I we were in need of a pet friendly place First room had a broken bed

then the next room wasn’t made up So they had to make the room up quickly at like 11 pm The weirdest thing was some of the housekeeping staff lived right across the hall on the 4th floor The lady who fixed up our room was over the top great I wish I could remember her name First breakfast ever that had whole jimmy dean sandwiches in a warmer

A poor experience all the way around! Was not greeted on arrival by the front desk Not told any information about the hotel, where the elevators were, what time breakfast was etc I travel for work and stay at Fairfield Inn properties regularly

This one misses the mark by a mile The hotel is in desperate need of updating, but that doesn’t even account for the lack of customer service from the staff We came down at 7:00 to eat and get on the road and were told that a hot breakfast would be ready at 7:30 by a woman at the front desk No problem, I can wait for a little So I went and fueled up and loaded up to leave, came back at 7:30, still no breakfast Was at that time informed by someone else that the hot breakfast was a to-go sack! A little bit of explaining when I checked in, or from the other front desk worker would have gone a long way to ease my immediate frustration as I was traveling with my family and had 6 other mouths besides mine to feed! If you are not going to serve a hot breakfast, that’s fine, just let me know when I check in so I am prepared! The gentleman at the front desk then proceeded to tell me that a to-go breakfast was Fairfield Inn policy and it was because of Covid So I guess I haven’t been eating the usual hotel breakfast that I have been enjoying every other week when I stay at other Fairfield Inns? I wish I was joking but blaming Covid was the icing on the cake for me 🙂 In short, I should have listened to the reviews, they are accurate This is not the usual Fairfield Inn experience that I am used to and would not consider staying here again

I always like coming to stay here, the staff helpful and greet you with a smile The rooms are clean and comfortable The hotel bar has great selections, I miss social night and hope that will return

The pool is awesome wish they had a indoor pool as well William was very helpful and didn’t complain no matter how many times we needed him

Beatrice Hatcher

Room was not as expected and you had to pay for breakfast The lobby area is beautiful, but for the rest of the hotel, it could be a lot better considering how much you pay to stay there It was something that could have been cleaned, like the dresser, other than that it was okay

For me it’s minor things that the facility needs to address and they would be okay

John Washington

The room was very large with a living area and nice bedroom Some of the lighting in the living area and bathroom did not workThe remote control in the living area was missing a battery and did not work

They do have an on-site laundry, which is free, but you will have to purchase detergent and dryer sheets at the front desk
