Spring Hill Suites by Marriott was a great stay for us We stayed here for one night and it was quite pleasant The suite was huge and had all the amenities we needed in the room (a microwave and compact fridge)

The bed was firm but soft The restroom was clean and bright The sitting area was comfortable, roomy and rather relaxing There was even a desk area for us to put our laptops and do a little work that evening On the opposite wall of the desk is a little coutertop space that we used for the snacks we had with us However, the best perk about this stay was the hot breakfast they offered the next morning Everything from make your own waffles, to scrambled eggs, hard boiled eggs, oatmeal, toast, cereal, warm muffins, sausage links, apple and orange juices, cow milk, and coffee as well as an assortment of fresh fruits and yogurt I will definetly be back to this establishment when I’m in the area and need a clean, quite place to lay my headOnly issue I had here was that that didn’t offer almond milk Can’t satisfy all the people all the timeright!?

There’s probably a staff shortage We checked in at around 9:30pm There was nobody at the front desk

Waited for about five minutes to get help The hotel remodeling seemed to have finished While most furnishing looks new, the bathtub is old with much stain and scratches The building structure might be too old Can hear every step of residence the floor above When the resident above rolls luggage on floor, it sounds like a truck is running aboveBreakfast is good

Ro Herms

Stayed here for a week in Spring 2022 The property was undergoing a remodel I was in a room that had just been finished

While everything was “new” the plumber had messed up the water pipes in the shower, so cold was hot and hot was cold After getting past that snafu, the place was decent Its not the easiest to get to from the interstate, but it can be done Its quite enough given its location next to the metro and interstate Breakfast was hot and good, and the cookies fresh in the evening Staff was friendly and courteous Housekeeping was up to snuff

Giving it 25 :5 Average motel

Stayed two nights because of extremely high ratings which I am sure are false ratings Establishment obviously paid for false ratings or the had someone create an algorithm to give it false high ratings There is no other explanation for an average motel Bed and linens clean Room renovated Parking easy, free and safe Renovated shower nice However, forgot to pack slippers and my feet were extremely black from walking on extremely dirty wooden floors No pool, no fitness room, ice machine supposedly broken, no breakfast, no iron or ironing board in room and only three clothes hangers

Angie Pop

I was really looking forward to it as I saw the ratings of this hotel However, I do have some concerns The check in process was quick

As soon as I walked into my room, I got hit with a strong smell of cigarette Interesting because at the check in, he kept emphasizing it was a 100% non smoking hotel Then, I laid my items on the bed and saw burnt holes on the bed sheet clearly from cigarettes I’m pregnant, so I headed down to the office to inform him and possibly getting room switched I told him I was pregnant too and he denied the cigarette smell He said, “No, I had a Mexican band group stay and they promised me no smoke” What? Ok… well I responded, “Well, it still smells like it and I’m pregnant” I told him about the burnt holes on the bed sheet and he said don’t worry that the sheets are only decor What!? Anyways the best he gave me was an air freshener spray to take to the room Still very upset because the smell was strong and he did nothing about it especially when it’s a pregnant woman Just be warned

Joshua King

We submitted a credit card authorization form to book 4 rooms for our small team of guys working on a project in Irwindale Since that time we have had a lot of fraudulent charges on our card for Lyft, and several other charges which has created a lot of trouble for us Someone working there is very dishonest and needs to be removed

The stay was OK but not worth this trouble

I was having trouble finding a hotel that would accommodate an early morning meeting I would be having via Zoom I was traveling with my family and didn’t want to wake them up by taking it in my room After looking into multiple hotels in the area, this was the first one that told me I could use a conference room without any issues even though it would be just myself using the room

The staff was super helpful (dealt with multiple staff members) and friendly the entire stayThe beds are comfortable and the rooms are “roomy” 😁 The only semi-issue I had was that the room wasn’t completely clean, but it was clean enough

Brandon Ford

The rooms were small, but super clean and well kept The location is PERFECT and there are very many good restaurants, bars, freeways, coffee shops, places to shop, etc

in the area The staff was super accommodating and said “hello” or “good morning” whenever you went bye They had drinks, snacks, and beer available for you downstairs Had a good breakfast and coffee in the morning Nice lounge area to chill if you needed to be out of your room or a place to eat your own food TV’s were accessible as well I wish they would return to regular room service Scheduling I’m advance can be a pain, but it’s easy to work with them on that

Eydie C.H

This was my second visit booked a room for 5 days as I was a guest here In August 2021 for about 4 days Things changed a bit and mostly had to do with my allergies to dogs I felt like perhaps they should have a separate area are floor for dogs Management showed some understanding but besides the dogs I felt that the hotel could use some sprucing my carpet was stained and the Aggie of the property was beginning to show

The bed was comfy and staff was friendly Location was good because you could walk to Metro!

Once your expectations are set that it’s a budget motel, you’ll notice that everything works wellReception staff are friendly and helpful, they were very cooperative whenever neededPlenty of parking spaces in the area and it felt safe

Room is cleaned daily and is bigger than your average hotel room, so it’s comfortable Wifi is decent, there’s a laundry room and it costs around 4$ per load (washing, detergent, one cycle drying)Plenty of shops within walking distance, that’s a big plus and restaurants too i had a room in the corner so noise was never an issueBathroom and shower are separate from the sink area, but not an issue for me, plenty of towels and shampoo/shower gel if needed

Marsha King

This is the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in If I could give it a zero I would There were mosquitoes all over the room I killed several of them and thought I had gotten them all When I left the hotel the next day there were mosquito bites all over my legs and ankles

When I entered the room the room smelled like mold I could not get hot water in the shower for almost 30 minutes I had to call the manager to come to the room and help I thought about sleeping in my car It was awful I’ll never stay there again not worth it Bugs, Old furniture, old bedspreads, towels, and sheets, smelled awful, not worth it Stay somewhere else!

Jianna Kellems

I have stayed here a couple of times The rooms are fine, though I find the queen beds too soft The location is great and the price is reasonable

Normally very clean and no cause for concern However, when we stayed here this past week, my husband and I woke up with bites all over our legs This is the first time we’ve stayed on the first floor, so maybe that is why, but they definitely seem to have some sort of pest problem now

The hotel looked clean but it didn’t feel clean As soon as I got to my room I wiped down the restroom counter and night stands with a disinfecting wipe and it was extremely dirty The small cushion couch in there had so many mystery stains

The restroom didn’t have a working air vent, and the bathtub had hair The bed was comfortable and so were the pillows

Sam “CaliSpaßvogel”

Stayed there in Sept 2021 It’s a very dated and disgusting place I stayed 7 days, not once did the staff clean my room or took out the trash

The bathroom was falling apart, shower curtain seemed to be years old The staff never greeted me, smile at me or ask how was my stay, I’m a platinum IHG memberLet’s just say the entire building needs to be gutted and remodeledOnly good thing is it’s location Close to restaurants, shopping and the freewayI will forever avoid IHG locations in the Los Angeles area and will stick with Marriott

We had a great stay at this hotel, however there was a few things that made us not want to give It a full 5 stars The service was great and the rooms were clean However, the card access for the stairs did not work, several times, and since we had to park in the back due to lack

of parkin gout front this was the most convenient access door Not a huge inconvenience but I figured I would note it in the review Our room also had one small issue that was easily overlooked but may cause the hotel somewhat of an issue is that the shower head was shooting water at the ceiling from a bad connection I’m sure this has just been overlooked due to the fact that they don’t use the shower while cleaning it Other than that Great stay amazing hotel with a great location

Calvin Taylor

The hotel is about what you’d expect–no frills They clean every two weeks, you have to empty your own trash, and fetch your own TP The rooms are clean

The bath is too cramped to use as a bath tub, but it works fine as a shower The beds are hard and you need to supply your own blankets The staff is friendly enough There are some ants and spiders, but no more substantial fauna Were that all, it wouldn’t be a bad placeBut the place is a disaster in other respects The phone doesn’t work (that’s okay in this era of cell phones) The key cards keep loosing their charge What’s killing me this morning is the refrigerator works so poorly that my milk curdled after 3 days I was really looking forward to some milk in my cereal :(I wish I’d payed a little extra

Rowland Richard Schroeder

RUN RUN RUN away from this place We had reservations Checked in

NO ONE up front Had to stand and wait Got our keys Hallways smell like POT Room is DISGUSTING Dirty OLD Fridge, No CUPS NO ICE BUCKET – NOTHING TO USE IN KITCHENETTE Ugly walls – stains and peeling Bathroom BIG red STAIN looks like someone was killed in there Room SMELLS AWFUL – combination of pot and must and NBO We ended up checking out immediately EMPLOYEE did not care NO SORRY NO APOLOGY NOTHING It was like we inconvenienced her We ended up driving down the street and went to stay a NEWLY RENOVATED PROPERTY around corner that was cheaper and like a 5 star resort for MUCH CHEAPER and included breakfast Will NEVER Recommend this hotel or its chain or stay at another one again

Location is right by a bunch of restaurants and such so easy access to amenities Would definitely stay here again!

Cem Ozar

Location was quite and safe Room was spacious , bed and sofa were comfy Tv channels were really good

Coffee was a plus We needed laundry , reception helped us to use the laundry of neighbor hotel with which they had agreement Reception helped us by check-in and Ac replacement It was very good to be able to open windows in the room to get fresh airAir condition was very noisy, 1st night hardly slept but the mechman has replaced a new Ac in 20 min Breakfast could be maybe better Breakfast area hardly enough

Zakwan Nasser

Priced well and located near the mall and other major stores Only half an hour away from the heart of LA Only reason I’m giving 4 stars is they don’t provide housekeeping services on weekends

Although not the biggest issue, staying for 4 days (3 nights), housekeeping is sometimes desired on at least one of those days However, they do provide extra towels or toiletries, but you have to go to the front desk to request them, which was fortunately easy and convenient They also offer a slightly later checkout at noon which was a major plus

The internet was very slow, but everything else was great Easy parking, nice rooms, easy access to the city, good hot breakfastSolis (spelling?) was amazing! We ate breakfast all 3 mornings and she was just so friendly and welcoming to me and my family

We couldn’t help but be in a good mood during and after breakfast She asked about our trip and gave us some tips for the beach and things to do Sometimes hotel staff can be cranky and she was the furthest thing from that I had a great stay and she made it even better!

David Barrio

Reasonable and standard rooms Has two closets for the 2 queen bed Towels are small, and thin

Toilet is powerful but loud AC works well, but make sure to move the curtains behind it so that the cold reaches the room Beds comfortable, but if you have people getting up a lot at night it will make noise Never heard neighbors, so I assume that the walls are fairly soundproof Never heard the freewayBreakfast was pretty good, standard continental stuff Eggs a little too salty Very nice breakfast attendant Not many locations to walk to Has a pool, but I never used itOverall an above average hotel, and I would recommend it

Leslie Spencer

If you’ve been in Southern California this last week of June, you know how horrifically hot it’s been Unfortunately, the power had gone out two days in a row in Altadena, and I couldn’t take the heat/lack of electricity anymore Especially since the outage repair had no definite end in sight

Rather than remain cranky, I opted for some self care and booked a last-minute room at the Best Western Pasadena Royale Inn & Suites Check-in was smooth and my room was clean and comfortable I swam in the sparkling clean pool for the remaining hour it was open Beyond grateful for cold, effective air conditioning, I slept peacefully the entire nightBreakfast service was what made my experience at the Best Western stellar Elise was on duty, and she is extraordinary Her enthusiasm, attentiveness, positivity and friendliness is absolutely genuine You can tell she enjoys interacting with the guests In fact, all the staff I encountered went out of their way to ensure I had a good experienceThank you, Best Western, for helping me cool off, relax, sleep well and smile the next day

We were very happy with our stay here Our room and kingbed were comfortable, and there was ample furniture (even a regular size table and two chairs) to spread our stuff out on Great bathroom – Jet blast toilet (no clogging!) and super clean (tile grout and tub caulk were bright white, no mold or other issues)

Room was relatively quiet though highway noise could be heard due to location Very friendly staff (kudos to Jody in the breakfast room for her cheerful greeting and overall attentiveness) We’re on a cross country drive and this was one of the best hotels in its class that we’ve stayed at

Laura Corbin

Better than the Best Western right next to it but not worth the price They do take AAA though for a discount Bad location but had to be there for work

Definitely not a vacation spot but very good for what was needed Room had a microwave, mini fridge, two comfortable beds, AC, a coffee maker, hair dryer in the bathroom, l It’s of light and curtains for night and a nice TV Staff was great and catered to a wake up call

For a hotel you need to spend a night or two away, this place honestly gets the job done No complaints on my end Not overly luxurious but not a drop dead dirty motel

Some parts of this hotel do seem a little more run down than others Good A/C Pool included Bar in the evening and reasonably priced breakfast and brunch, not complimentary like other hotels, but coffee is free Staff is very friendly and lobby is nice and cleanDistance to DTLA is roughly 20 minutes and to other areas like Hollywood and Santa Monica, you can expect around 30-40 A lot of commercial areas nearby Montebello and places to get foodMe and my partners room was abundantly clean, staff did a great job TV with cable, microwave, fridge, coffeemaker and safe box We stayed on the fifth floor Hallways were quiet for most of the night and we did not experience any noise complaints, hardly heard anything throughout the entire eveningOverall, good place to stay Worth the cost and worth the amenities I know all rooms aren’t the same but for our experience, we had a very comfortable and relaxed time

Becky Raborg

While we loved the room and the staff was great it was a heck of a long walk to the rooms at the other end of the hall! The pool needed to be skimmed and there were no towels We had to go searching for someone to bring some then they never came back to bring more

Also, there were no signs to tell you how to get to the pool

Jaime Mitchell

I am currently staying at this location I checked in last night for a 3 night stay On arrival, my family of 4 and I only had a set towels for two people

I had to request towels for my family and I on 3 separate occasions I called to remind the front desk and eventually sent my nephew downstairs to retrieve what we needed Tonight we arrived after a day of sight seeing and the ENTIRE parking lot is full because of 2 parties on site I had to park across the street at the mall As a paying customer, I don’t feel that is providing excellent customer service I have the recommendation to have the guest of those hosting the party RSVP so that they can get a count of how many parking passes are needed for the mall parking Those visiting the property for the festivities should be made to park at the mall As a paying customer, I find this unacceptableWhen I brought this issue to the front desk personnel, I was just told they had two parties going on, and that they were sorry for the inconvenience I will not be returning here

Three stars because it’s neither a great place or bad place The rooms aren’t suites They’re studios

While I didn’t use them, there’s a 5-foot tall fridge, microwave, sink, dishes and cups, and even a dishwasher The furnishings seem straight out of an IKEA catalogThey offer a breakfast each morning On the first morning I went down and saw that they didn’t have eggs I feel like a breakfast should have eggs, bacon, sausage, breads/bagels for roasting, coffee, milk, and juice, and various breakfast cereals Their breakfast didn’t have eggs, bacon, or juice but did have oatmeal and breakfast wraps/burritos Of course they also had the usual sides like butter, jelly, cream cheese, etcThe staff I interacted with were helpful and courteousThe room wall and doors are thin, so you can hear people in the hall and in adjacent rooms more than in a more typical hotel Outdoor sounds of the street also penetrate the room, if the car is a little loudEverything seemed to be clean, but the keypad on the microwave was sticky, part of the reason I didn’t use itOverall, a 3, like I said In the future I’ll look for something a little more deserving of the Hilton name, thoughIt’s

Stephanie Acosta

We stay here any time we are visiting family This latest time was for our baby shower After a drive from Arizona I will say, we have always come to a pretty clean and nice room

The black out curtains are awesome and block out a lot of light which is great for sleepFor our last stay there, a little over a week ago, we had booked a handicap accessible room months in advance When we saw the option to check in on the app we noticed that the room we got was not accessible We called and they fixed it for us right away (The staff are always really nice)We got there and I immediately noticed some of the stuff in the room did not make sense for accessibility I use a wheelchair and could not use the bathroom mirror sitting in my wheelchair I had to stand to do my hair and it took a long time since I had to keep taking breaks The hand held shower head was helpful, but the wall mount it hangs on was somewhat high and was a little hard to work with I also had to ask the front desk for a shower chair, the site makes it looks like the room just comes with the chairwhen I did get to use it, I sat tilted at an angle because the chair didn’t fit in the tub rightMy only other issue was we had to be placed in a room that was “joined” by another room of people we did not know The door locked so it’s not like they could come in, but we heard EVERYTHING There was a kid playing with a ball on the shared wall for hours until late and then screaming for the next few hours until they fell asleep, around 11pm (I’m assuming) because their ball was taken away This isn’t the hotels fault, but the fact that we could hear it so clearly was very difficult since we couldn’t sleep and our baby shower was the next dayStill coming back but we might need to see if there’s an option for a no barrier room, so it’s easier for me to shower

Cynthia Corbett

Visited my dtr And family who stayed thereRooms are clean, staff is friendly and courteous

Breakfast is available which was just ok,not great Fresh coffee available There is a McDonald’s next door and other food eateries within a short distanceThere is an area for barbecue grilling, swimming pool I would recommend Home2 suites for a short stay

I saw another comment that perhaps it was a different motel before and was taken over by Comfort InnSo let me start with the Positive: The bed is a dream Very comfortable The wifi was perfect Good place to do online work actually as there is a nice desk and comfy work chair Washer/dryer/gym/business center (in lobby) on site Very clean and sanitized The gym had the most essential equipment needed I really don’t think the gym is getting much use anyway so don’t think anyone has to worry about germs The cleaning lady told me they come in and sanitize at 830am every morning Washer and dryer clean and dry perfectly There is a pool, but did not use it Also there is continental breakfast with some basic choices The next day after checking in the parking lot was fully repaved The ladies who do housekeeping are the golden queens of this places Some clean better than others of course, but they are there early keeping up the whole facility and cleaning service is everyday I am always sure to show them respect The price is pretty good but I guess it would be since there is a lot of transitioning going on The room as a whole has luxury style upgrades but over patchwork plaster where there still needs to be some painting done There is an old mixed with new feel But generally the room had a homely feel Microwave and larger fridge was very niceOkay so the disadvantages Like I said the price is good for all that is offered on site, and if you are going to stay now just know that changes are being made The crowd is a mixed bag Sometimes it is very quiet and then at night it can get a little noisy It seems to me that a Code of Conduct needs to be strictly enforced There were a lot of people not respecting rules adults and kids alike I was gone for one night visiting my sister and came back the next night to find that my room had flood and the tub was filled with black water It was also the room below me that was damaged as well Thankfully the worker that night did the right thing by moving me to another room that was very close No issues with the second room Also one night was discounted for the mishap and all was fine at checkout Customer service needs a lot of help Water pressure in shower could be more

Four stars because the rooms, lobby and breakfast room are very clean and modern The hotel has clearly been updated It’s an older place

The amenities in the room are very good I was particularly pleased with the larger refrigerator with a good sized freezer Free hot breakfast is available until 10 am Plentiful hot breakfast sausage, scrambled eggs (probably powdered eggs), boiled eggs, waffles, bagels, bread and a toaster, oranges and bananas The breakfast room requires key entry and is small, so consider taking breakfast back to your room if there are no tables availableStaff is friendly and very helpful

This hotel was good for us because the room was clean The bed was very comfortable The air conditioning worked like a charm at 38 degrees Celsius

There was lots of food stores in very close proximity and even a Walgreens The pool was small and had some bugs in it but when it’s that hot you love it anyways The staff were friendly The breakfast was lacking, super small room with only a couple tables, scrambled eggs, tiny sausage patties, cold cereal, tiny muffins, fruit, and waffle iron There is a denny’s down the street
