Literally one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at in my entire life! It’s beautiful, clean, modern, and has everything you need in it! We used the laundry room which was great! We got to swim in the pool which was clean and nice! Our double queen was clean and very comfortable I wish I could package this hotel up with me and take it along when I travel! I would definitely book here again when in town!

Rachel Martin

I was in town for work and this was where the staff were staying The location is great, close to restaurants and a strip mall for quick trips The front staff were so friendly, and the breakfast each morning was a great deal for the price with excellent service

The amenities are fantastic with a beautiful outdoor patio area, indoor pool and fitness center My room was impeccably spotless with TONS of windows for natural light, but also included blackout shades to block out the outside light I would stay here again without giving it a second thought

Tim Demming

Hands down, the best hotel room I’ve stayed in at this price Rooms are spacious and modern, shower is large, and the towels are huge (nice touch) The bed was comfortable and I enjoyed the huge picture window (but the view was lacking) Everything was clean

I had a club sandwich at the restaurant and it was one of the best I had I’m looking forward to staying here again

The stay here was not the best experience I’ve ever had, not the worst but there were several issues throughout our stay Immediately upon walking in our room to the right there is a punch hole in the wall When the wind would blow outside there would be a high pitch whistle, and our room was obviously right up against the stairs

The first night we didn’t notice it, but the second night it sounded like somebody was beating on our wall almost all night We then realized the next morning that it was just people walking up and down the stairs, but it kept us up regardless The walls seem to be pretty thin because it wasn’t too hard to hear everything going on in the room on the other side of us The breakfast selection was okay if you got out early enough, but the orange juice was VERY watered down Again, not the worst place you could stay, but those were just the problems we had

While the experience at this Hilton Garden in certainly qualified as acceptable for the price, it couldn’t go much further My partner and I booked a King suite specifically because it stated there were bathtubs in all the rooms Upon checking in, we were surprised to find out that isn’t the case, and that the staff didn’t even know which King suites still had bathtubs, as most have been switched to shower only

Overall, a very average experience and one I couldn’t recommend over another average hotel experience Props to the staff for assisting us with our request, however

Jon T

Rooms we had were very comfortable, loved the indoor pool and hot tub was a great place to chill in the afternoonStaff super helpfulMy only gripe was the lack of black out curtains – the heater/A-C unit is under the window with only a thin curtain over it

Ok if you like waking with the morning light

Sara Rieselbach

Made a mistake with my reservation Called right away to change it Had signed up for AAA rate

Apparently, it was non-refundable They refused to work with me to change it The deck clerk was sarcastic and patronizing, telling me I should have called for my reservation, and it would have been more understandable! Poor service Charged my card today for my room that I cannot even use!

3/5 Not the best Holiday Inn I’ve been to and not the worst Location was great, near plenty of restaurants and bars

Parking was easy and free Breakfast was not free, but the restaurant looked okay (did not eat there) The rooms were clean, minus a bit of mold on the ceiling in the shower and a bit of food debris on the floor when we walked in Curtains were a little tough to get completely closed, so there was always a bit of light shining through in the morning The bathroom faucet was terribly designed, with very little pressure and a short spout, forcing you to touch the side of the basin every time and get water all over the back, which would eventually pool and run down the side of the counter The lighting in the room was fine but a little dim Carpets were slightly stained, but not gross looking The light switch for the bathroom was outside of the bathroom which was frustrating, but there was a nice nightlight inside which helped at night Mini fridge was included in the room, but was more of a quarter fridge than a standard mini fridge, so a little smaller than expected All staff encountered were friendly I would stay again, but for the price paid, would try somewhere different for the same amount

Barb Alford

Nice hotel The paint or maybe plaster was cracked and separating from the wall so it needs some attention The coffee maker did not work and when mentioned to lady at front desk there was barely any acknowledgement

I’ll bet that coffee maker is still in the room We were only there one night so this was only a quick observation The bed was comfortable and the night staff very friendly and welcoming

It’s fine for a cheaper hotel I was relatively unbothered I worked nights and slept days

None of the cleaning crew attempted to enter my room, and they left towels outside my door Towels were small but useable Rooms were not insulated well I could hear walking/stomping, outside cars/stereos, and the cleaning crew vacuuming doors and floors away I looked at the hot breakfast, but never ate it Typically sausage/biscuits/French toast/gravy/eggs in some combo

Derrick Buford

I booked a stay here for the weekend while I was in town for business I typically stay in about 240 hotels a years So I set my expectations accordingly

I had an issue with the ac not working in my room I called down to ask to be switched When I talked to Sam, He said he would call me back after checking to see what rooms are availableInstead, he sends a maintenance man upstairs to verify the truth behind my claimThe nice maintenance man was able to verify and called Sam to tell him the ac is old and broken So they switched me to another room, only after having to wait an hour for one to be cleanedYou’d think they would make sure the room at least had working ac But no I get to the next room, and the ac was even hotterI called back down and talked to Sam He made me feel like he thought I was lying As if I could get something out of lying about ac not working He said “well we didn’t have any complaints from previous guests”I don’t care if there’s been complaints or notSo he sent the maintenance guy back up The guy looks at the ac and determined it wasn’t working eitherSo they switched me to ANOTHERRRRRRR room!Only to get there and find the room to have not been cleaned Bed not made Trash isn’t he trash can Cups in the bathroomNow here I am, sitting in the lobby I heard the sassy lady at the front counter say “why’s he drinking coffee if his ac isn’t working?” What I do with my personal time is none of her business And frankly, I can’t fathom why they would allow someone to speak bad about guests like that WHILE THEYRE SITTING 20 feet away!!!!Now, I have a team from my place of employment waiting for me to get back on a conference zoom meeting, but I can’t I have to wait for a room to be ready before I can get my computer and everything set back upI started the process of trying to get a room with working ac at 10:38 amIt is now 12:31 pmAgain, I set my expectations according based off my many stays in hotels But this property has certainly fell below the standard

Excellent service and facilities!Staff very friendly and responsive, room cleanliness on point, common areas very clean as well They were able to provide acommodations due to work travel and by the time of checkout, very early in the morning in my case, they were prepared with the receipt already printed and handed to me right away The fastest check out ever! So convenient especially if you have a flight to catch right after!Thank you for the dedication and for caring to provide the best service possible!

Super friendly staff and clean room The property looks great Although the only convenience for a hot meal is a restaurant that opens at 4pm across the street

sort of Otherwise a car or some place with delivery service is needed I thought the hot breakfast was nice and good coffee Tea was also available I thought a little pricey, because I was just at a Comfort Inn in Walcott, IA that was very nice and trucker friendly rates also more accessible to food and shopping

Tarynn Taylor

We reserved 2 rooms with 2 queen beds upon arrival we asked what brought us there I stated it was my sons 12th birthday so we got a room for us and our kids and my brother-in-law was coming in town with his family and we where going to let the kids swim The lady then proceeded to tell me they don’t allow birthday parties which at no point was said we where doing

We didn’t invite any of extra kids or family it was just our kids who stayed in our rooms which is no different then baseball teams staying there with their teammates and family We then where sitting by the fireplace talking to another couple who where eating the lady from the desk said they close the area at 9 but doesn’t mind if we sit there as long as we are quiet Not even 15 min she comes in and shuts everything off on us Her reasoning was there’s a room in the hallway right there but so is the pool that was open till 11 We then go down in the morning for breakfast and they had nothing when asked the lady stated they hadn’t received a truck in 3 days We then asked to speak to manager and the brushed us off and said they couldn’t do anything for us After spending $400 on 2 rooms where treated poorly we then had to go out to breakfast because the great breakfast that was advertised was nonexistent

I recently had a terrible experience with a Hilton hotel so I was leery about staying somewhere else I actually called different hotels and quizzed them before finally settling on this one I am extremely pleased with this site

The exterior is clean and welcoming When I arrived early they were able to get me into a room within a few minutes Wow! Great room Clean, perfect temperature, well stocked The front desk girl, Kylie was amazing too I didn’t have to ask for more towels or items and I had an ice maker in the refrigerator I had never heard of My Place Hotels and I will be booking with this hotel again It’s close to restaurants and the interstate Not a bit of disappointment here

Wow!!! Best Hotel Ever! Location was great Assistant Manager was running the desk and was super bubbly and I believe it wasn’t an act Room was awesome

Full size Refrigerator, which was good for a Beer Drinker, a Recliner that wasn’t bad A table with 2 chairs for eating and of course a TV Wi-Fi was strong and reliable While this is usually a “Extended Stay” type Hotel I highly recommend for a stay of any length

Stayed for a work event in the area – there were five of us total The customer service provided by Harold and the rest of the staff was amazing This is one of the best Hilton properties I have ever stayed in

Harold was responsive to emails even on his day off Because I was coordinating stays for five people, he went the extra mile to make sure everything was organized Hotel was clean and rooms were spacious We ate at the restaurant all three nights and food was fantastic Wait staff consistent and friendly Nice breakfast in the morning Loved Axis!

Jocelyn Marables

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay The staff members were all extremely welcoming and valued my comfort I greatly appreciate the interior aesthetic of the hotel

It was like none otherAlso, I recommend that you get to know Brian, the bartender He is an amazing individual He single handily amplified my stay experience

Laurie Sherman

Our recent stay at the Axis was a great experience! The entire staff was very friendly and accommodating! The restaurant food was fantastic! The restaurant was closed during the week for lunch, but there are several great restaurants within walking distance They have convenient free parking, and the rooms were very nice and clean We even booked the banquet room for a family dinner (25 people) with little lead time, and Alysia was a rock star! She made sure all details were covered and had great communication throughout the planning of the event

This is now our go-to hotel in Moline!

We’ve stayed here three times so far Unfortunately this last stay was off-putting overall Positives: front desk staff all seem welcoming and professional

Breakfast is better than what you get at most extended stay places Rooms can be are very spacious Beds are very comfy Negatives: shower drain was slow and I had to pause showering multiple times to get me out standing in dirty water Housekeeping was poor, we had item from previous guest stay in our room (kids toy), streaks from dirty rag on all metal, glass, mirrors Blood stains on top blanket, underside Toilet seat not clean Sticky on under side of countertop edges Hand prints in elevator seen on Thursday, we’re still there on Sunday morning For a relatively fresh facility – it needs some love in the day-to-day care

Jeff Gibbon

Beware: if you want a good night’s sleep, rooms on the second floor are above a loud bar that has live music until after midnight! We were told that there were no other rooms that we could be moved toOther issues, there are strange white stains on the bedroom carpet, shower floor is filthy, and the pullout couch is broken Noise and vibrations from the hallway are also very audible

It’s too bad because we have stayed here in the past and had a decent experience I think the charm has worn for us off this timeAvoid the second floor

I stayed here for a night as I was attending a concert at TaxSlayer Center and this is a short walk across the streetEverything about this place was great, I have no complaints As others have mentioned, it is an old restored building and has loads of history

It has a rustic/industrial look to it and I thought it was pretty cool, considering most hotels have the same sterile look The bed was a slice of heaven, I really loved how cushy it was I had a King size studio, so it came fully equipped with a microwave, stovetop, full size refrigerator, “real” plates and glasses, kitchen utensils and forks/knives/spoons There was even a small eating area and made the kitchen and bed feel like separate spaces This unit only had a stand-up shower, but it was also fantastic The shower head is extra high and there was shampoo/conditioner and body wash in a dispenser I loved that there was a digital thermostat, as this place has standard “vents” rather than one of those huge noisy electric HVAC units Room temperature was comfortable when I walked in and never had to adjust it All of the little touches made this a genuinely great stay for meCheck-in was easy and the guy at the desk was super friendly, which was nice after a 3 hour drive down thereI was on the 6th floor and facing directly out to the train tracks, as mentioned in another review It was kinda loud, but not bad enough to “jar” me out of sleep I heard it and went back to sleep after mumbling obscenities at 4am It came by again around 8am and during the day as well, so definitely something to think about if the noise bothers you Outside of that, it was dead quiet in my room the rest of the time I only briefly heard the cleaning staff in the hallway when I arrivedParking was free and right across the street, so that was awesome as wellThis was my first time visiting Moline and between this hotel and the concert at TaxSlayer Center, it was a pretty epic experience I’ll definitely visit again in the future and when I do, I’ll stay at Element

My partner and I got a room with a king bed We had a service animal (guide dog) that was accommodated well Hotel breakfasts always butter my buns and this was no different

We also utilized the workout room and stepped inside the pool area Overall, a good experience Some odd smells here and there and awkward interactions at times with staff but I chalk both of those up to my nose being weird and my inadequate social skills 5 stars from me!

Katey Montgomery

2nd shift front desk personal was horrible Rolling his eyes, telling guest things are to bad its not his problem, and just walking away or ignoring you First shift front desk is wonderful though

Food was good and there was a good variety Pool area was very clean Water was a little cold but the kids didn’t mind that Lighting on first floor is very dim though and makes it hard to see

D Lup

We used automatic check-in and selected our room When we got into our room we noticed that the floor was a little wet around the toilet I dried it however it was wet again later

I got out my flashlight and saw wet and a mushroom growing from the wall I went to the front desk to change rooms The young man apologized and gave us a no cost upgrade The only thing wrong with that room was the pile of trash behind the bedside table We got used to the knocking in the wall and we liked breakfast and the location of the ice machine

A hidden gem on the river! I was on a roadtrip by myself to visit my son I needed somewhere to stay to breakup the lengthy drive I read other reviews and decided to give it a try

I felt safe staying here alone Waking up to the river and a wonderful complimentary breakfast in the morning was a great start to my day! Family environment and a good night’s rest

Brad Gayer

I haven’t actually stayed there yet First I tried to book a room for my friends wedding when I was told the woman I was talking to was new and didn’t know how to do that, and that she wood ask her manager and call me back, which never happened A week later after several attempts to get through on the phone, my wife was able to get the room reserved for a astronomical price for a 2 star hotel

Now our plans have changed and we would like to cancel our rooms and my wife and I have spent all day trying to get a hold of Holiday Inn Express I’m the only one that has been able to get through and was put on hold for 53 min When I hung up to call again, it would no longer go through to the front desk

Disappointed that I spent twice what this place is worth There was garbage in the room under the tables, the pool heater was not working so the water was too cold to swim The pool is very small for a hotel this size anyway

Room door was hard to shut and someone walked in on accident! Outside you can smell the river, fridge was turned off and took hours to cool off We stayed 25 days and the garbage in the hall was still there when we left The door on fridge cabinet is broken so it took 2 hands each time to shut Lumpy bed with springs you could really feel, prison grade toilet paper, sink drained super slow Yes I kept a running list I would have complained but they were booked solid with some baseball thing in town I was there for a wedding and didn’t want to make waves At least I got to enjoy people playing baseball outside til 11 pm Food was great for the private event but the breakfast was not great at all This area is newly developed but it is pretty close to stereotypical east Moline Definitely hurting the Hyatt brand!

Kathy Bengtson

Beautiful new facility Very clean, quiet, comfortable bed, spacious room, pleasant staff, nice lounge on main floor with fireplace and lounge on top floor too, Starbucks inside, hot and cold breakfast items and fresh fruit Excellent conference facility in the Expo Building, with great staff and delicious food on sight

Highly recommend this hotel overlooking the Mississippi for a personal getaway or conference We had a great week here!

Jackie Elmaazawi

The good: The rooms are new Parking is easy The hotel has a couple different areas to socialize, with a nice patio area

All the staff were friendly As you can see the river views are beautiful It’s QUIET There’s a small convenience store for snacks, drinks and toiletriesThe bad: We booked a king room with a river view When we arrived they told us they were overbooked, and had to give us a double queen instead No offer of compensation or other accommodations were offered We didn’t think much of it at the time I wish this was the worst problem we had with our stay Unfortunately, the shower heads aren’t the greatest but it’ll get the job doneThe ugly: Someone left MILK in our single serve coffee maker At first I thought it was hard water stains because the shower head is a little clogged from that Nope Instantly, STEAMED HOT ROTTEN MILK filled our room We had to pack up and leave immediately at 7am Rough morning, to say the least The front desk lady didn’t seem to care? She did apologize We couldn’t even stay to enjoy the breakfast, because our stomachs were turning from the smell Let’s hope this doesn’t happen to anyone else!!! It was truly horrificPlease also note the reviews below which mention maggots in the coffee pots I believe the room rate was $150- For another $50 I’d gladly stay at a Marriott or Hilton where such issues are addressed by management promptly

We stay here frequently Its within an hour of our home for date nights They have nice beds

A WONDERFUL breakfast! Friendly staff (Bartender is always friendly!) This time it was a Sunday evening for our 21st Anniversary and of course being our bad luck to stay that evening no bar or hot tub open Room was still clean except the in room coffee pot this time was disgusting

I booked this hotel because it has truck parking for me to park and get out of truck for a few days Staff was awesome Location was off path

But had a bunch of taxi service that was pricey(20 each way) down the street 3 miles, no uber no lyft, Max’s taxi service is best but still pricey No shuttle for guests and restaurant/bar open limited times, real limited Overall was good Bartender was awesome and needs help to stay open longer

I stayed here 03/26 The front desk employees were the only redeeming qualities of this place the gentleman late at night checking me in and the younger lady I reported this to before leaving The room was just ok window was propped open as I walked in

It was very outdated for the price and it stunk I could deal with that I was tired But what really upset me was the disrespect I encountered by the two housekeeper women at 6:30am at breakfast Me by myself along with roughly ten other people enter the breakfast area to get food I was the ONLY person these two women came up to asking which room number I was staying in, if I could tell them which part of the building 152 was and where was my room key I’m covered in tattoos, And I wear a lot of jewelry so I definitely felt as if I was discriminated against and I voiced my concern directly to the women asking why I was the only one they needed all that info from is it because of how I looked they asked no one else ? and then I asked for their name I’m almost certain one was “deb” on the name tag old white haired woman and the other a dark haired older woman but they both covered their name tag almost immediately and said “oh really !? go ahead and say something I don’t “f****** care, f*** off” I paid $193 + deposit to stay in the room I stayed in Left it the same way I came Caused no problems I did not deserve the disrespect the discrimination that I received at this hotel not to mention to be cussed at 6:30 in the morning I would seriously suggest looking at your other options in the area before making a decision here

We enjoyed our stay room was spacious and very clean The complimentary breakfast was good The only problem we encountered was being placed on the first level near the vending machines and lounge area … the guest were very loud at night and in the morning

We had trouble falling asleep and woke up to children running up and down the hall We would have appreciated if they implemented a little more courtesy toward other guests

When we checked in, the hotel looked very nice Our room was clean (but smelled like fried food still) at check in, the hotel was easy to locate off of the interstate We left for our event and returned after 11 pm to our room

We were greeted by the constant bass beat music from the strip joint next door It continued all night long until well after 3AM We had to turn the fan on high in the room to drown out the noise We didn’t complain to the front desk as I am sure there is nothing they can do–but if you stay here, request a room on the highway side to avoid the tunes all night, unless you like that kind of thing!

Room was clean and comfortable, breakfast was on the higher end of the hotel buffets, decor was nice inside and out, and the kids loved the indoor/outdoor pool We were there the one night a week (Sunday) the bar is closed, but it looked cool It was also in a nice area along the river and had a splash pad and little amphitheater plus some shops and restaurants just behind the hotel

Would definitely stay here again

We stayed here a couple years ago and it was wonderful, very clean, staff was polite and the kids really enjoyed the pool That’s why when we needed a room for family from out of town, we thought of this place first We rented a king suite with jacuzzi tub

The staff was very nice upon arrival and polite when calling to discuss concerns When we entered the room it smelled of stale cigarette smoke Which was off putting, because we thought it was non-smoking The celling in the rooms bathroom and above the jacuzzi were water stained and paint peeling off The room seemed to be clean, just not well maintainedWe decided to go to the pool The water was cloudy in the pool, filled with floating long black hairs, leaves and even a cigarette bud floating in the water at the outdoor section of the pool There were dirty towels laying around the pool room The plus side, the bathroom in the pool area was clean The hot tub looked like it was clean and safe to get into It was just a shame that the hot tub jets didn’t work No towels available either, tried to call the front desk from the pool area for towels and the phone in the pool room doesn’t work Made our way back to the room and it smelled like someone was smoking a cigar in the hallway and even stronger smell when we got into the room Called the front desk to notify them Service desk said they’d come check it out, never heard back Told them no towels in the pool room also and they said it was because of covid but we could come to the front desk and she’d give us some Wish they’d have told us before hand, we’d have stopped there before going to the pool On the plus side, the bed was very comfortable and breakfast served in the morning was was a welcomed pleasantry

Staff were friendly Room was clean Hotel was mostly quiet (the hotel has no ability to control when kids play loudly or a woman screams with pleasure during sex)

Walls are not soundproof Typical stuff Breakfast was sad with weak options for the price level of the hotelI paid extra for a room with a hot tub, but had to call maintenance as the drain didn’t close rendering it useless To their credit, it didn’t take long to fix and the staff was responsive and apologetic (but didn’t offer a discount or anything) The window blinds were broken, so I couldn’t open or close them Wallpaper is peeling Carpets are loose and coming up Drapery brackets exist with no drapesTake a look at pics, especially the kicked in door to the bathroom How do you rent out a room in this condition? It’s not like the property was full
