Pool is on the shady side of the building so if you are looking for a pool side tan, this is not your place One of two elevators was broken down while we were there so had lines for the elevator at times Breakfast was bland and mediocre at best Staff was friendly and helpful Location was fine

NOT RECOMMENDED! Front staff were very nice Decent breakfast ZERO parking either of the nights

Had to park on the street a block away Shared parking lot with another hotel Front desk told another guy to park between the handicap spots Used the coffee maker for hot water and sludge came out from the previous user putting coffee grounds in the wrong spot (which meant it hadn’t been cleaned between stays) Elevator was out, we had to carry our luggage up and down three floors Toilet seat wasn’t seated properly so it slipped and clunked every time you sat on it If it hadn’t been so late, we would have checked out and gotten another room Gave them grace the first night, thought parking was a fluke It wasn’t

Had 8 rooms reserved for a business golf trip Book rooms months in advance because our golf resort 2hrs away was full for the night of arrival into Florida Was on vacation in Florida with family and called hotel 2 weeks prior to cancellation room deadline to cancel room block

Spoke to an associate to cancel the rooms The associate told me that I needed to speak to a manager to cancel the rooms I was placed on hold for 20 min Associate came back and let me know the manager could not speak to me at that current time and to call back Of course with being on vacation and doing family activities, I forgot to call back I realize that is on myself but when I realized I was charged for the room block for no showing, the manager I spoke to said they had no Idea why the associate did not cancel the rooms on the first call There wasn’t a need for a manager to cancel the rooms in the first place, all associates are able to do the room cancellations I am not looking for a full refund, but maybe just something I have requested on 4 different occasions to speak with a manager at the location through Marriott elite services but have never gotten a call back I just feel that if the hotel handled my call correctly right away, we would of had this this situation

Marriott Titanium member who travels a lot and 95% of stays are on Marriott properties Nearly never write reviews, but wish I had known this info prior to my last minute booking, without research Staff was fine, but this hotel simply does not meet Marriott standards

It desperately needs updated Dingy, worn out carpets, musky odor, everything outdated and showing its age What was presented as breakfast was sub-standard as wellAfter first night, I moved to another Fairfield (Tampa Wesley Chapel) and was quickly reminded of the dramatic difference, as the other one is modern, clean, spacious, etcI’m sure staff at the Brandon Fairfield are doing their job, with what they have, but the current state of the hotel should not be accepted as a Marriott property and I felt a review should put out there for those preparing for a stay in the area

Hotel was pretty decent My room was big appeared to be clean There was a cigarette burn on a table

And a carpet tile had slipped where they tried to replace it A bed side lamp was out And only 2 towels in the bathroom One scary note about the shower It was wide open so water can hit the floor and they need a shower mat inside The shower floor is so slippery The hot breakfast was decent

I really liked the area outside the pool with corn hole game The front desk said the cleaning staff is outsourced which I’m not sure is working well for them I’m glad we were on the first floor since I had to go to the front desk several times to get things the maid forgot to leave

On one of the days, the towels left were half dryed They were folded and on the rack but wet If I came back to the area, I’d probably look around to see what other choices there are Desk staff was friendly

When I walked in to the checkin counter the first thing I noticed was a fresh smell like essential oils The rooms we nice and clean I’m Very picky choosing hotels and I would stay here again

The breakfast was the only thing not up to par, we had to wait over 10 mins because when we came to eat at 8am there was no eggs or bacon We had to tell the lady it was empty before they started cooking more The eggs were not cooked all the way, ended up just going out for breakfast

This hotel is one of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed in! The staff was kind, the room and the pool were clean, the facilities were extraordinary, the terrace garden was amazing! It was relaxing just to sit back at the terrace in the middle of green trees and flowers It makes you feel like you’re blending in the nature and escaping from modern life chaos a little bit The hotel and the rooms smell great from the cleaning but my linen had a blood stain on it

I worked in the hotel business for some time and I know that it’s impossible for some stains to come off, but at least they could have replaced it or put the stained side to the foot level, not the face level Again, I am sure that it was cleaned because of the great smell, that’s why I am still giving 5 stars It was a great stay for reasonable price Thank you to hotel staff!

Letty Torres

The pros were : check in process was great The person at front desk is definitely a great person, very knowledgeable The pool is nice and so are the facilities

Breakfast was great as well, it is available at a cost to you Person working that area was very friendlyCons: the bed is the hardest bed I’ve ever slept on, the door seemed to have paint chipped off on outsideas if some tried to pry it open The chair in room can use updating

Marie St. Louis

The location is perfect and I felt safe during my entire stay The bar and restaurant is right there in the hotel and that made things easy when it came to options The staff was friendly and if you report an issue they try their best to resolve your issue

I wish more was done for Hilton honors members but aside from that my experience at this hotel was a good one

Warning *** I’m having a “Karen” moment! LolSummary- I like this hotel, a lot in fact The service is great, it’s very clean, quite comfortable but, it’s the little things that get meA little back story, my husband and I come to Tampa once a month

We live in Miami and my husband works remotely from home The company he works for, is based here in Tampa and he comes up for his monthly engineering meetings So, we’re here…a lot! LolLike I stated before, I like this hotel The beds are some of the best! The service is really impeccable The grounds are kept nice, they have a gym and an indoor heated pool, so even if it’s a wee bit cold out you can still have some good ole Florida fun! What I don’t like, and it really chaps my hide, 🤣 is the fact that you have to OVER pay for every little tiny thing here For instance, there’s no breakfast Like not even a muffin! There is really bad coffee in the room where they give you 2 sugars and 1 little powdered creamer Some of these little packages have napkins and stir sticks, some don’t Oh, and did I mention it’s really bad…like bad badAnd I know, a lot of people are going to nitpick at the fact that I’m rating them 3 stars because of coffee and breakfast, (I told you I was having a Karen moment) but the fact remains that when I spend $412 for 2 nights at a hotel, with minimal services (because they’ve laid off the majority of their employees so they don’t have to give daily housekeeping room checks, so they can pocket more profit and blame it on the pandemic! Oh yeah, I said it, go watch Adam ruins everything about Covid and Hotels!) I do expect a muffin or at least a dang cup of coffee to be freeThe odd part is, we’ve stayed at this hotel enough that when my husband and I went to Tulsa, OK for our kiddos wedding, I made sure to look for a Marriott Courtyard for us to stay in We encountered the same service, comfort and amenities but, they served a rather large and nice breakfast with coffees, juices, milks etcBut after this, after being charged $203 for a small cup of coffee, I think my husband and will be staying at the Hyatt up the road We were staying there for a while when we were making these trips and I decided, “why not shake it up and stay at the Marriott…”I think we’ll be going back Not for nothing but, they have an enormous breakfast and coffee bar! 😉

Tamira Sallee

Check in was horrible staff was rude Room was dirty dust every where and black mold on the pictrue in the bathroom A room that sleeps 4 but they did not provide any pillows for the pull out sofa and front desk said they were out

Only one working elevator that’s really did not work it would randomly pick floors to stop on and doors would not open all the way Very much not worth $175 a night

We had a room booked for this hotel and got notice our event was cancelled less than 5 hours before check in due to weather They had every right to slam us with an early cancellation fee even though it wasn’t exactly our fault However, the were understanding and waved the fee

We will absolutely book with them again when the event is rescheduled

Tim Rappoccio

10 pm loading a uhaul all day Just looking for somewhere nice to rest 120 a night

Website says 50 dollars non refundable pet deposit They told us 75 Plus airport fee plus city of Lakeland fee Might as well let us pay for electric and water too 260 plus extra fees including a convenience fee All we wanted to do was sleep 6 and a half hours and check out

Jessica Hall

The front fest guy was overly loud and brown nosing The pool was disgusting and a disgrace for the Hilton brand The guest were allowed to have their pizza box dang near floating in the whirlpool

Those same guest were in the pool and whirlpool with regular tennis shoes on and staff was serving them, noticing it! I was the only person with a mask on and Florida residents have one of the highest cases of Covid19 in the country! The room wasn’t as clean as overtly expressed! Hilton has really lost its touch with modernization, cleanliness perception, and representation! I truly expected better as I’ve ALWAYS bragged and prided being a HH member!

My stay was a 10/10! I have to deduct 1 star just from partial cleanliness I did stumble across a roach upon room entry Once killed I didn’t see anymore so I chopped it up to just being a big building, however I’ve been to other hotels without any pests

Morning breakfast is AMAZING A cook to order option or a continental breakfast option The bar at night was also nice The bar tender was a cool guy and pleasant to deal withWill be returning to hopefully adjust to 5/5

Avi Satlow

The hotel is fine and meets my needs However, I am somewhat dissatisfied with these chain hotels eliminating certain amenities such as free breakfast (and charge $1095 for a very limited continental breakfast- no eggs, waffles, etc, without additional charge) and the unlimited 5-mile radius shuttle (now they only service specific locations due to corporate COVID policies)

If they charged half the cost then I would be writing a 4 or 5 star review Now I’m seriously rethinking staying at so called “upscale” hotel chains rather than lower star economy brands The only appeal to this hotel is the proximity to my law school; otherwise, would never in a million years pay $175/night or so (after tax) for this hotel

Jessica Connolly

Came here for a business meeting Very clean and welcoming upon walking in Bar on the side, not quite sure if it was an actual restaurant

Pool and fitness center located in the front The conference room was very nice and perfect for what we needed Fit about 30 people comfortably and it looked like they had a separator too so if you needed more space, it looked possible Great location if you’re from out of town; located near I-75 and the crosstown and anything you could possible need within 5 minutes

we booked this hotel because of the positive reviews but after getting there, it was just the opposite right when you walk in there is a musty smell that smacks you in the face- almost like cigarette smell the carpets are so old, and the atmosphere in general is just off

when we got to the room, same musty smell no towels in the bathroom, the water from the sink and the shower smelled so bad not to mention the disgusting couch! stains all over it and it was suppose to be a pull-out mattress after driving for 13 hours we were tired, so we ended up just spreading our blankets on the bed and left first thing in the morning i even woke up with a bite on the ankle would not recommend this place!!

My wife had a procedure in Tampa so we had to stay 3 days The experience was obviously stressful and a bit scary Every single person we encountered at this Embassy made this experience better

The front desk women were beyond helpful and nice The cleaning crew went out of their way to ensure our room was clean and safe before and after the surgery The cook was awesome and the lady in that area offered to fix my wife something special 5 stars and above to this team! Thank you for making a stressful experience better

LaShonda Renea Maxfield

Attended an awards event there Both conference rooms were well decorated and I loved that one had a sitting area Inside there is a really nice restaurant and seating that makes you feel as though you are sitting in a park outside

Catering staff was very friendly and accommodating (there was no vegan food but they made me a plate full of Romain lettuce) Guests raved about the food

Absolute 5 star hotel! Every staff member from the front desk to housekeeping went above and beyond to provide a stellar guest experience The entire property from the parking lot all the way to the rooms are perfectly clean and spotless The guest rooms are spacious, clean and so cozy

The water pressure is great and the water gets nice and hot The beds are something you don’t even know you’re missing in your life until you sleep in one Absolutely the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in Also located in a prime spot with restaurants and stores nearby Overall, this is a property that is a must stay at if you are in the area You WILL NOT be disappointed

Unique Lekrell

I enjoyed my stay here* the staff was nice all around* the room was decent I did not like the sink area, thought the faucet was to close to the sink and I like for my bathroom doors to lock* comfy room for the most part*breakfast was decent (waffles, grits, cereal, bacon, eggs, muffins, bagels, orange juice, apple juice, etc)* u can also buy snacks* one thing I didn’t like is asking for a late check out which would be 11:30

I just needed till 12 ya know I checked in at like 11 that night anyway but nonetheless, it’s understandableI would stay here again; oh and there is a Jamaican housekeeper …wish I got her name…she was very nice and I enjoyed her conversation

NeKesha A.

Honestly, it really was not a bad stay! I was expecting the worst however the front desk staff that checked us in had jokes! The morning staff was very friendly, the evening cookies made my daughters day and the breakfast was a great variety The room was nicely cleaned upon our arrival, they were able to supply the extra pillows we needed for the sleeper sofa and they also had the towels needed as well Overall, great locations, good rooms, nice staff – give them a try, we did! #noregrets

I can’t say enough wonderful things about this hotel It’s beautiful, convenient and super clean The best part is the staff, most notably the front desk staff

They are helpful, caring, compassionate and treat you like a guest and not a number I’m going through a very difficult time in my life and the front desk angels swooped in to help me I couldn’t be more thankful and appreciative of them Definitely stay here if you’re looking for a 5 star experience for a 3 star price!

The hotel is quite nice, with many available amenities like laundry room, conference rooms, pool and spa, and a complimentary breakfast areaThe rooms were spacious, very clean, and for a small fee also pet friendly The furniture was comfortable and clean, the staff were very friendly

The location is advantageous in that it is right off the highway, though noise is a bit of an issue outside The view is nice as there are trees blocking the wider highway and some water featuresOverall it was a good place to stop and rest, highly recommended

She made friendly conversation with us as we passed through the lobby every time she saw us I highly recommend

We were in Tampa for a wedding and stayed three nights in the guest house The guest house was fabulous, lots of space for everyone Main living space was exceptionally nice with river views

The grounds were also very nice We really enjoyed relaxing in the beach lounge chairs and around the fire pit area Unfortunately, we did not have time to kayak or use the pool while there Kris is extremely kind and provided anything we needed Breakfast was excellent and we were offered many choices Loved the homemade muffins, yogurt cups and soufflés

I headed to the Tampa area for an impromptu get-away and much needed rest Stumbled on Riverbend Retreat’s website and booked a week stay I cannot speak highly enough about this peaceful retreat

The home and grounds were more than lovely with lush vegetation and spectacular views of the river The rooms were clean, cozy, and very homey Many extra perks included such as timely breakfast each morning and heart warming conversations with the hosts if you choose Kris and Bob have created a restful paradise on every level Will definitely be back!

The owners were very friendly and the facilities were delightful It was surprisingly quiet given its proximity to a large metropolitan are, like an oasis Especially Christians will feel at home here – we were invited to attend the owners’ Bible study group from their church which happened to be meeting at the retreat

We made some great new friends and expanded our knowledge of the Bible, in our opinion tremendous perks for staying here We’ll recommend this to fellow Christians for individual or group stays for a few days of peace in turbulent times

I stayed here for a few nights for work and from start to end was a pleasant experience for me The check in process was pretty quick, the front desk person was friendly and helpful and was knowledgeable about the area they worked in, which is sometimes rare The hotel feels brand new, it’s clean and bright with my room being ideal, clean, comfortable and quiet

Breakfast was as expected I was very impressed with the quality of this hotel, with the price being at a very good value and not all the hustle and bustle of downtown Tampa Look forward to my next stay in a few weeks

We recently stayed at this property for eight nights with our family of five and a dog Overall, we had a really positive experience! The staff were very pleasant and helpful The hotel itself was clean and well appointed

The room size was large and comfortable for a our family during our stay We also found the hotel very quiet even with lots of guests and dogs staying there The breakfast every morning was also really niceThe only thing I’d say could use a bit of improvement were some of the amenities Because of Covid, the room cleaning doesn’t happen daily We had scheduled it for midway through and they didn’t come, so we had to ask them again and they came the next day We did run out of toilet paper and needed new towels more frequently, but when we asked, they were happy to oblige The cookware in the room was very limited and were missing things like there were only 3 forks and 2 knives The bedding was also less than desirable It seemed like they were using a bedskirt as the main blanket which was odd We had to ask for more bedding for the pull out couch The final thing was that during our stay, one of the two dryers were broken – leaving only one dryer for the whole hotel to use There didn’t seem to be any attempts to get a technician to fix it so there was often time long waits to dry our clothingBut other than those amenities we really did enjoy our time and would absolutely stay there again

Nice place to stay, comfy beds & pillows, nice location, friendly staff, free breakfast & parking, Major Problem

the carpet was FILTHY & there were several pieces of old food on the floor!! I know this is a budget hotel but went to the manager & told them this is NOT up to Hilton standards! I’ve NEVER seen carpet that dirty in even a cheap hotel! The manager was very apologetic & moved me to another room immediately If there is a Hilton wherever I am travelling to, I usually stay there because anything less than pristine clean is really not for me Hilton has always met & usually exceeds my expectations, but I was disappointed with the cleanliness of the floors in this one
