I mean this place is directly on the beach so that is pretty awesome I was on the 3rd floor facing the ocean which was so beautiful and peaceful If I go back I will definitely ask for 1st floor even though there is not a ground floor room options to walk out, the first floor would be ideal with the kids always running in and out to the balcony

I won’t forget the sound of the gulf waves crashing on the shore Even when it rained we were able to sit in our room with the door open to enjoy the sounds and sights of the ocean I couldn’t wait to wake up each morning to get out to that balcony The two indoor hot tubs and heated indoor pool was a blessing with the kids We were unable to get much use out of the outside pools because they were not heated Staff was friendly The young lady at the desk happily allowed us an early check in which we appreciated so very much Hotel was close to restaurants and shops We drove through orange beach on the way out & it looked like better restaurants though that direction we did enjoy the oyster house in Gulf Shores I wouldn’t bother with the pancake breakfast restaurant in the hotel The staff is awesome and the view is great & while convenient, the breakfast food is expensive and not really great for how much it costs We didn’t try lunch The beds and especially the pillows were good

Allyson Burke Lee

I have never stayed at this Best Western We usually stay at Boardwalk or Phoenix but we always walk to the pancake house for breakfast that’s located inside the hotel SUCH GOOD BREAKFAST AND FRIENDLY SERVICE! I will say the lobby, restaurant and pool area as always been extremely nice and clean!! Staff is always so friendly! Anyone I’ve ever talked to that’s stayed here really liked it!! We always have breakfast then walk out to the beach from hotel and walk back to our condo

Nothing like a good walk on the beach after a great breakfast!! SUCH BEAUTIFUL VIEWS!

Jeremy Waits

An ideal location on the beach Many upgrades and renovations have been done, and are in process The room we stayed on was beach side on the 6th floor, so we had great views

The room is super comfortable and relaxing Open the full sliding door to the balcony and let the sound of the waves wash away the stress! Staff are nice and accommodating Direct beach access, very nice pool and patio area, as well as indoor heated pool and hot tub 5 stars all the way!

We had an extended stay due to our vehicle breaking down and needing delayed repairs Very well kept hotel The staff were very professional, friendly and accommodating

But hands down, the hardest working and sweetest was Jane, who serves up an incredible breakfast spread each and every morning, we never ran out of anything in the breakfast area We now know a great go to place to stay when returning to the Alabama Gulf Coast!

Jesus-Daniel Gutierrez (JD)

Great location, excellent attention and wonderful staff Every employee was friendly and attentive The beach is a short walk away and they have their own private access

Breakfast is included, it was good and slightly better than the ones from similar brands Parking is complimentary on location The hotel is well kept and the rooms maintained on a daily basis The only downside I found was they don’t make all their available rooms available to be booked with points Boo for that… $$$$

Bleuzette

Miss Kim at the front desk was professional and was helping customers plus walking around cleaning and making sure the front lobby and breakfast area was tidy and full of coffee and condiments Then I’d see her back behind the counter helping customers again She genuinely cared about the customers experience and it was obvious that she took pride in her work

It was refreshing to witness Kudos to Miss Kim for making the world a better, happier place! In other news, we did enjoy our stay at Fairfield Inn & Suites in Orange Beach, Alabama Only two blocks from the beach and a decent price at just over $200 for a Saturday night We had a king room with a balcony The room was nice and clean and the staff were accommodating and pleasant

Great front desk / support staff Very friendly and personable Beach access to some of the warmest gulf waters is awesome

The breakfast had biscuits and gravy every day Which while good Could have been better if ther was more varietyThe pool/hot tub is perfect for kids, and the poolside bar is great for the thirsty adultTry to arrange an ocean front room for a more enjoyable stay

Tina Lynn

Ask for a poolside room if you want to see the Gulf Thankfully I did this and voila, we had a pool view and some of the ocean It wasn’t the cleanest Holiday Inn, I’ll say that

The pool is kept in great condition and I didn’t feel nasty when getting in and it didn’t have that horrible chemical smell that most public pools have Inside, I did overhear employees using the F word and other things that would suggest they don’t love their job, that was a bummer BUT the female and male bartender for the pool were wonderful! Very personable and sweet! I was pleasantly surprised how quiet the room was being poolside Air worked in the room and water was hot! Couldn’t beat being so close to the beach Only other thing I’ll add and I hate to say it here I was going to alert the front staff to a bug issue near the coffee station, but no one was to be found Overall, for a quick last minute change up for our beach vacation it was a good stay

Lizannette Dolph

Location – 10/10 I feel like you’re right in the middle of everything Right across from an arcade and Bubbas 🙌🏻Rooms – 6

9/10 Not the worst but the bathrooms need some improvement!Breakfast – 7/10 It’s free so it’s you’re basic holiday inn breakfast BUT that’s one less expense you’re saving onRoom Service – 3/10 We’ve been here for 3 days and they haven’t came to replace towels and do a bit of cleaning I’ve had to call and ask for towelsPool – 8/10 My kids love it I think it’s one of the best hotel pools in a holiday inn that I’ve stayed atAccess to the beach is amazing!I would recommend!

Absolutely best place if you have small children The cabins are cute and cozy and accommodate cooking small meals and a place to sit and eat or work space The down side of this place is there aren’t enough cabins as of to date, to make planning a return trip in the near future

I understand they’re in the works of expanding to more cabins and bigger It’s the most affordable way to play a trip to the beach and other Waterparks and attractions in the area It’s safe and secure for little ones to play and still remain in eye sight The little store “Ranger station ” has quite a few novelty items and there’s always something planned for the kids The staff is very friendly and can offer other ideas of local attractions and more to explore

Kate Hulse (Nerdgirlk8)

I really enjoyed my stay here The park is clean, the staff is so incredibly friendly and helpful On any given day walking through the grounds, you’ll hear children laughing as they play on the giant inflatable bounce-house slide, playing in the pool, or playing pickleball

The park is in the process of adding more activities for your family to enjoy The shop offers bags of materials containing gemstones for your family to try sluicing down by the pond where you can fish for bass and bluegill The shop has some food items and snacks for purchase, and a bunch of cute Yogi Bear items Even without children to keep you occupied, the park is quiet and full of birdsong, full of mature pines, perfect for sitting out on the hammock or by the fire and simply relaxing Will definitely be coming back!

Craig Malcom

Huge sites! This is a Great Camp ground The staff is friendly and eager to please! Lots of fun things for the kids to do! Not an unreasonable distance from restaurants, shops or the beach even! Bathrooms are super clean and nice spacious showers They even opened up 2 brand new bathrooms by the pool during our stay

This will always be our go to campground when visiting this part of the country!!

This place is just the best Amazing delicious breakfast is included, free snacks all day, am open do it yourself bar, and a beautiful venue with lovely staff It’s really everything you would need or want

The pool is so cute and such a fun spot to hangout and the rooms are clean and have so much character This is the best place to stay in Foley no doubt I wish there were more spots like this around the country I will be back!

Victoria Schlayer

My husband and I went for some kid free time, and let me say this place didn’t disappoint We were happily greeted upon checking in Staff was very friendly and helpful to show us around and to our room! We stayed in the presidential suite, and it went above and beyond expectations! Large, comfortable, remarkably clean, including the bathroom

The bathroom offered all the amenities we could need, and I especially loved the little details, like wrapping our toilet paper rolls into roses! The first impression was a definite A+ Bed was comfortable, we had our own thermostat which I was so happy about because we sleep like polar bears! ❤️ The southern breakfast was homemade and delicious! They offered a mini bar and snacks too! Only thing I wish was we had more time so we could have enjoyed it longer!

Tracey Ferrin

We had a wonderful experience at the beautiful Hotel Magnolia and hope to stay here again and again! The owners and staff are all friendly and kind, they went above and beyond to make my birthday special! We greatly enjoyed the generous breakfast, open bar, and refreshing pool We looked forward to returning to our “grown-up’s oasis” each day after navigating the summertime hoards of kids and families in Gulf Shores We stayed in “the library” and it was cozy and romantic

This room does not have a window to look out of, not a complaint, but we were surprised as there are window dressings and the facade of a window where one used to be (Again, not a complaint, just something to know about this room in particular if waking up to natural light is important to you) If you enjoy staying at grand historic places with generous amenities then you absolutely must stay here!

We are staying in a Suite while the closing date on our house was delayed, so will be here for a few weeks The Manager Gen has been exceptional and gone above and beyond in taking care of our needs here Stephanie and the whole front desk staff are a team of Professionals taking care of all the customers

This by far is the best place to stay from our experience of already the 1st week The housekeeping Head staff Genna, and housekeeping Sally have made sure we have a clean room The ladies in the Breakfast area keep it clean and stocked in the morning Lobby is clean Nice Pool area and Pet friendly This place stays booked Location is across from the outlets and central to everything

Snoop Dogg

Being a Hilton property we expected cleanliness & over the top friendliness, but we were disappointed The hallways were not vacuumed one time during our week stay Our toilet bowl, shower floor & sink looked like they had never been cleaned

Some of the staff were impatient & rude No towels at the pool Public spaces were not kept clean Floor at the elevators were continuously wet because of no towels at the pool Breakfast choices were bland Prices were extreme, over $1,600 for 6 nights! Pretty sure they have bugs! We will not be returning

Bev OA

This was our first time staying here Prior to our arrival on Friday evening, I checked in with the Hilton Honors App and picked out our room Upon arrival to the hotel, we were greeted warmly by the front desk clerk

Because, I checked in with the app There was nothing I had to do The front desk clerk confirmed, I received my digital key Unfortunately, we weren’t able to pair with the room via Bluetooth, due to a system issueWe were promptly given the room keys and were settled shortly afterThe room is nice and big and clean I love the fact, I had a welcome message on the TV with my name on it 💜💜The full size refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave as well as the dishes supplied made our stay even better The hotel was nice and quiet We woke him to eat a hearty hot breakfast They had waffles to cook yourself, cheese omelettes, southwest omelettes, muffins, bread for toast, breakfast sandwiches, oatmeal with all the trimmings cranberries, brown sugar, etc milk, juice, yogurt, coffee, etc It was a very nice change to have a hot breakfast after all of this timeMy children went swimming in the pool and they even provided pool towels for themWe had a wonderful experience here and we were close to Orange Beach and Gulf Shores We are right across the street from the Tanger Outlet Mall 🙂 That’s a plusI would highly recommend staying here It was the perfect place for my family

This review is strictly for our place only RM 514AOur room sucked In the bedroom the mattress was old and lumpy

In the bathroom the vent fan was loose and really making noise The tub/shower would be difficult for older people to get into The tub walls seemed very highThe dining area did not have a decent place to sit The bar had 2 bar stools that were dated back to the late ’60s and ’70s These bar stools were made for small buttsThe living area furniture was old Not a decent place to sit It had a sofa and chair Both had been well used When sitting in them you felt like you were sitting on the floor Getting out of them was a choreThe balcony door sucks! It sticks and sometimes took both of us to open Once outside there was no handle to help close the door It had broken off and never repairedThe balcony was the only space we really likedCannot recommend this place

Katy W

The staff was super friendly and the rooms were clean We got a suite for 6 with 2 queen beds and a pull out couch, and we were all very comfortable with the space and the price There were good movie options on the TV and the breakfast options were very good as well

We were all very satisfied with our stay and would come here again

Mark S.

Rooms need updating or carpets deep cleaned

staff was excellent and are extremely helpful Breakfast was as good as it gets for a free one Location is great, centrally located near Wal-Mart and grocery stores, plenty of places to eat nearby The ocean is just a very short drive less than 10 minutes on a busy day, shorter during slower times Overall was a very good experience

Sleep Inn is over all a decent place to stayPros1Ocean front with quick access to beach2

Decently priced rooms3Located close to many shops and restaurants within walking decent4Friendly staff5 Large stand up shower6 Decently large parking area with parking on side of building next to side doorCons1 Breakfast is very limited and mostly cold items, with very weak coffee The microwave sandwiches tasted freezer burnt2 The rooms are fairly small, and the beds aren’t very comfortable3 The pool was essentially a sand pit The bottom layer of the pool was covered in sand and there were several pieces of garbage floating about I don’t recall seeing a single person cleaning the pool during our week stay4 Certain front desk staff seemed very cranky I’m sure dealing with tourist and drunken Beach goers can be exhausting, however there’s no need to have an attitude with everyone

Susan Vaughn

The view and convenience to the beach was off the hook Next time we will request a room on a higher level The pool area is really nice, availability of extra towels and such was plentiful

The front desk checking in was nice, leaving not so much The older gentleman was rather rude, non-present when I tried to speak, and returned the room pass The ” breakfast” was okay Recommended, if you are a true coffee drinker, bring pods to make in the room, coffee maker provided I would be okay with staying here again

Monster Ford

Hotel is adequate for the price and clean, I work in the hospitality industry and no complaints about condition or staff However when we came back we had to park across the hwy and walk across with four kids The lot was full of non guests out on the beach ,the pool is constantly full of people just coming to swim or going to the beach constant free for all

I paid good money to use these amenities while others use for free Time to edit this ,as I explored the property I found numerous closet doors opened with open laundry shoots giant huge no no , if you want a huge lawsuit jump off in one

Clean room Friendly staff Great breakfast host, complete with apron and slacks

Very professional 👏 She even came to our table to make sure we found everything we needed The reason I gave this a 4 star rating and not 5 was because the air handler didn’t seem to remove the moisture from the room even though the air was set to a comfortable 72° Everything felt a bit damp

Sharon Thompson

The stay was fine but the problem I had was getting my deposit back! I noticed that my deposit was not put back on my card & I went back and forth between my credit card company and the hotel The hotel acted like I would get it back I end of having to do a dispute with my credit card company!! In the beginning I received a letter from my credit company saying the $100 was credited back & I wasn’t responsible

So 3 months later I get a letter from my credit card saying I would have to pay the $100 On the letter from the the hotel it said I was charged a $100 extra cleaning fee but I was never told this when I talked to the hotel staff including the manager, 2 or 3 times!! Then when I talked to the manager about the extra cleaning fee, she said I never talked to her, but I had written her name down to give to my credit card company! One more place to put on my do not use list!!🤬

My husband and I stayed at the Hampton Inn on Orange Beach 6/8-6/10 I want you to know how dissatisfied we were with our stay First, we paid quite a bit for a 2 night stay, which we were fine with if the hotel met our standards

To pay that much money we did have some expectations such as a comfortable bed The bed was absolutely horrible It had zero support and bounced you all over the place I expected the bed to be decent for the price and simply because it’s a Hampton hotel I had spinal surgery in October so we make sure to stay in a higher end hotel for the bed I was so very disappointed Two nights of sleeping on the worst bed with back and hip pain I spoke with the manager and she offered an additional blanket and sheet for padding……really? She was not interested in my complaint at all nor offered a reasonable solution I will say that the front desk lady, Vera, was very understanding and had awesome customer serviceSecond, our carpet was all wet We think from the refrigerator Maintenance did come up and replace it But walking on wet carpet for the rest of our stay was not ideal Third, the shower curtain set on top of the ledge of the tub so every time you showered water went all over the floor I had to be very careful not to fall as falling would be detrimental to me since spinal surgeryI’m hoping these complaints will be taken seriously Hampton advertises 100% satisfaction guarantee and I wasn’t even 60% satisfied At the very least replace the beds We will definitely look elsewhere for our next stay since the manager couldn’t even offer up any other accommodations or solutions

Melanie Garner

We stopped here, for 1 night, on our way back home from Florida The lady at the front desk, Liz, made our check in the easiest process ever! She was so very busy yet made us feel like we were not being rushed to help the next person Room was very spacious and clean

The kids absolutely LOVED the pool and the short walk to the beach My biggest praise goes to Liz! She has the best costumer service and that makes a huge difference to me when making decisions between different hotels! Thanks Liz!

Cassie Nix

The pros were the location, the view and the walk to the beach We paid for an oceanfront view, and the view was gorgeous Breakfast was also great

Most of the staff we interacted with were lovelyI don’t usually nitpick, but I was paying $400 a night and find some things just not excusable at that priceThey don’t have daily maid service, and you have to go down to get towels/toilet paper and take out your own trash Again, for the price I was paying, I think daily service would be expected You can only get a full service every 5 daysThey are dog friendly, which is amazing…but there was no place to take them to the bathroom The abandoned lot next door was what we opted for, but it was filled with thorny and burred plants They are not allowed on the beach (city law) so there are really no options At one point we tried to use a tiny patch of grass outside the fence, but the bartender from the pool told us it was gross to have them within eyesight and we needed to take our dogs off property to use the bathroom

Our stay was pleasant and very enjoyable The staff was friendly, informative, and overall great The room was up to date, clean, and comfy

I would without a doubt book this hotel again The lobby was beautiful and VERY up to date It was also more convenient than we’d expected as far as getting to the beach and other places to visit around the hotel I wish the balcony had been bigger, other than that, it was pleasant

Andria Hedrick

The rooms are fine- nothing to rave about The service, however, is the worst service I’ve ever received from a hotel First, when we went to enjoy our complimentary breakfast, the staff completely cleaned out our room! We did not check out nor did we ask for any sort of cleaning services during our stay

When we found housekeeping in our room and our belongings missing, we tried asking housekeeping about our items and none of them could speak English We were advised to go to the front desk (by a housekeeping manager that only knew a few select English words) where the supervisor was obviously not trained in customer service as we were treated so poorly and she just wanted to argue with us and give us excuses that everyone leaves without checking out She says they just assume everyone leaves and never actually checks to see if they’re checked out! So our privacy was completely violated, breakfast was disgusting, and we ended up finding several things missing when we were able to check in to our next hotel The GM finally called us 9 hours later and basically said we could only get a 50% discount and never said we could have our belongings back! Also, the GM refused to speak to me (only my husband even though I provided my name and phone number for them to call) because my last name was not the same as his We’re currently on hold with corporate and just hoping our HONEYMOON (yes, it’s our honeymoon and we’re being treated like this!) goes smoother moving forward

As a single dad of 4, vacationing can be very stressful, the staff made it so much easier for me We had an absolutely wonderful time Everyone was incredibly nice, our room was very clean and cleaned throughout our stay, breakfast was great and restocked quickly

Anything I noticed that was broken, was either fixed or being fixed by the time we left The location is fantastic, getting a great spot on the beach was never a problem

Everything is great until you realize how thin the walls are I have no other complaints other than I can hear my neighbors music, conversation, doors slamming, and kids running/jumping above my room I’m on a business trip and I understand Gulf shores is a vacation destination for most but sleeping would be nice

It’s a great place for vacations but not for business trips, at least during the summer

It started out very bad at check in! We arrive late at night to a rude Mr Moody which his name fits well!! I told him they charged me full price instead of taking my 15000 points of which is 75 dollars and he said we don’t deal with that you will have to call the 1 800 number! I asked when does the manager come in tomorrow he said it doesn’t matter because she is going to tell you the same thing!! So I lost out on my 15000 points and was over charged plus I could have stayed on the beach for the same ridiculous price they charged me for such a small room! I have to say I’m not very impressed with this Hampton and I guess the 100 percent enjoy your stay money back guarantee isn’t real! Now the breakfast was decent the last on the mornings was very nice but Mr Moody was not a pleasant experience!

Room was great decent price all the staff was nice but there was one I think her name was Castle had a really bad attitude didn’t seem like she cared much about appreciating the guest One bad apple ends up making the rest bad I will be getting ahold of someone higher up let them know I won’t be coming back there because of her service

I’ll take my business somewhere else

If I could rate this location as any lower I would Please read reviews if you choose to stay here, as these 1 star reviews are the most accurate I have seen Being a gold status Bonvoy member I stay in a fair share of Marriott hotels

I was placed in a non-smoking room that was full of cigarette smoke I was not offered another room, as they stated they were full nor able to transfer to another Marriott hotel according to the desk clerk I had to open the sliding door and sit on the couch to try and rest I had driven over 400 miles with no other option for the night The hallways were very dirty and hot I used a free night I had accumulated with my points plus another 5,000 points The part that I cannot understand is they REFUSE to return my night credit only wanting to give me 5,000 points back because they offer 2,000 to stay there anyway Unbelievable I see Platinum members on here who have also had a poor experience I truly hope they take these reviews seriously for future guests

Friendly, competent staff throughout the hotel, room was in great condition and very cleanCouple small things that unexpectedly made my stay:1 next to the coffee maker we’re 4 coffee pouches per usual, but they were all regular

Whether an accident or just circumstantial, I found it to be awesome!2 Every single staff member I passed by not only greeted/acknowledged me, but we’re upbeat, positive, and at least seemed genuinely engaged I didn’t know how important that was to me, but I guess a lotI will stay here again, and would recommend it to anyone else needing a stay in Gulf Shores

If I could rate it lower than one star, I would I will tell all of my friends and everyone I see not to stay here It was the first night of our honeymoon

Someone pulled the fire alarm Everyone had to evacuate downstairs My wife has severe anxiety, so she was just a ball of nerves after the first deafening alarm However, after we came back upstairs, the alarm sounded again We asked for a refund, and the hotel manager on duty agreed, so we drove an hour to find another hotel We didn’t stay at this hotel at all but were scheduled for 2 nights Now, after contacting the hotel, they are refusing to issue a refund What’s worse is the fact that they didn’t even try to help us Marriott’s website says they put people first and strive for excellence At this hotel, that is clearly not the case

great staff and the rooms are large The room had a mini kitchen complete with stove top and dishwasher and pot pans, cutlery etc So if you need to stay a long time and tired of eating out this is the place to stay

Hot and cold breakfast provided, a small bar at certain times at night as well Pool, work out area, outdoor patio Like I said if you need to stay a while this is the place

I never leave reviews but I felt compelled to this time…the room was clean as was the hotel, however the front desk staff was somewhat rude-we had four people in a room (my wife and I + two kids) yet we only had 3 towels-we were told we couldn’t have a fourth towel until we provided a dirty one🤷🏼‍♂️ The rooms aren’t cleaned unless you request it and you have to give a 24 hour notice which I think is ridiculous They only have a couple of luggage trolleys (none of which were ever available) so I had to make several trips hauling luggage

There is an indoor pool but it’s small, highly chlorinated, and not monitored so kids pretty much run it Finally, but definitely not least, $240 per night is exorbitant

Floor staff is friendly Desk staff debatable We started out on the 3rd floor in a 2 bedroom suite

We noticed the room was not very cool and humid as we walked in Let me mention we checked in late We toughed it through the night 8 am we notified the desk who sent someone to check it That person called in maintenance while we were gone Hours later we get back to same issue Long story short we were told we don’t know what’s wrong sorry They wanted us to just deal We had to request to change rooms The desk worker did not have a pleasant attitude through it all and this is where I say the desk staffs debatable The air was much better in the second room but I can’t say the room is as clean as I’d like The carpet is slick, there was a dead roach in one of the 3 beds, and there is pubic hair on the floors in both bathrooms On the plus side the breakfast is nice!

Our second time staying at this hotel First time was good, stayed on the ground floor, 2 bedroom suite was clean We had to ask for extra bed sheets for the sleeper sofa

Second time it was booked by our friends, stayed on the 3rd floor, suite was outdated, air worked in one bedroom and had to be set to freezing cold in order for thebother room to get some cold air Again had to ask for extra sheets for the sleeper sofa Sofa had a broken spring, when my daughter was helping to pull it out it almost cut her leg open There was no soap in any of the dispensers Was not as clean as the first time Breakfast was fine; eggs, sausage, pastries, fruit etc
