We stayed here for 6 months while our house was being built To be honest, I wasn’t looking forward to it – a very small space with two dogs and lots of neighbors didn’t sound all that great to me I was VERY pleasantly surprised! The amenities here are very good, and the staff works hard to keep them that way

The take-away breakfast was always a welcome way to start the day, and the staff keeps freshly-brewed coffee in the lobby all day The housekeeping staff does a great job keeping the common areas clean, and the hotel management goes above and beyond in making the guests feel welcome The housekeeper assigned to our room was careful to use pet-friendly cleaning products, which was such a nice touch The laundry facility was kept clean, and I never had a problem finding a washer/dryer available when I needed itWe have two dogs, and the adjacent dog park was a fast favorite The park is well-kept, good supplies on hand, and nicely wooded The other amenities, including outdoor grills, fully-stocked in-room kitchen, dishwasher, full-size refrigerator, etc, made everything feel as close to home as we could have hoped!I found this to be a reasonably-priced, good-value extended stay around the Aquia Harbor area (and there are several choices), and I heartily recommend this location to everyone!

I’d give this place a 45 stars We only stayed one night but as for the room, I told my wife this is the first time I had no suggestions on how they could make it better

The bed was comfortable The bathroom and sleeping area was clean It was very nice The front desk people were very helpful My only complaint is no hot breakfast They have a grab-n-go which doesn’t work well especially if you get the hot cakes because there are no plates to warm them up on and add syrup If they had a hot breakfast, it would easily be 5 stars

I live locally, off grid, in a travel trailer, while building our home Been doing it for 6 months and occasionally need a break with a full-sized shower with more than 5 minutes of hot water After back-to-back snow storms, my lot is a mud pit

I had a mental break down this morning and booked a hotel room to decompress I looked at all the reviews for local hotels and what sold me on this place was not only their superior reviews, but the comebacks from whoever is responding That person had me rolling, they are hilarious and so well written, I think they should be printed out and hung up around the lobby This is a nice place It’s an extended stay, the rooms are well sized, and it’s very clean The property is a little older, but they have kept up well on maintenance The hotel room is saving me from having an all out breakdown and ending up in the news I appreciate it and thank you for the thoughtful and entertaining responses I always trust somebody that can utilize the English language

First off let me say, My Son passed away this week

so needless to say, it has not been a good week So, I arrived at this Holiday Inn Express after Loading my Son’s belongings and Driving 12 hours from Connecticut I hit traffic and arrived late at 1am Julie at the front desk was a breath of fresh air and she could see that I was upset and very worn out and tired She asked how I was doing I explained my terrible week She was amazing!! She upgraded my room and offered a late checkout to allow me to get some additional rest, which was much needed! This is now my new go to hotel!! And to Juliethanks so much for your Awesome customer service and for going above and beyond!! God Bless you and your family!!! This hotel is A++++ in my book!!

This Holiday Inn is being remodeled As you walk in there are stacks of new items piled high There are construction tools laying around the halls

In our room the carpet was old and soiled The upholstered chair was soiled and torn in places Above the room children were jumping and felt as though the ceiling was going to fall inThe continental breakfast was well stocked and the assortment was impressive

Mike White

It was one of the cleanest rooms I’ve ever stayed in A huge thank you to the cleaning staff! Even though there was construction going on around the building, it was very quiet I wouldn’t have known they were even there had it not been for the signs

Most of the front desk staff was super friendly and helpful I definitely recommend if staying in Fredericksburg

Our family of six stayed for two nights and it was wonderful! We only had a twenty minute drive to Kings Dominion which was our reason for the trip There are lots of food options close by however we enjoyed the complimentary breakfast buffet both mornings The hotel seems to be in the middle of renovations however they did not hinder our experience

The staff were all very friendly and super accommodating!!!

You couldn’t ask for better housekeeping They cleaned our rooms once a week and they done a fantastic job I will definitely be staying here again Thank you all for everything

Ms Elena

I am a Healthcare Traveler and take assignments across the country The most difficult part of my job is finding housing ahead of time and typically for 13 weeks The Fredericksburg area can be quite pricey and difficult to find the living space I needed

I was so fortunate to find The Affordable Suites of America and even MORE excited that they offered the total package A complete kitchen, houseware goods, spacious clean living areas, weekly housekeeping, ample parking, laundry area, and lots of restaurants, grocery stores, and other businesses close by The Resident Manager Vickie was ALWAYS smiling and available to address any issues that arose She DEFINITELY make my stay enjoyable and anyone that stays here won’t be disappointed

Company picked this hotel, and it was the nicest hotel they have ever picked Called and spoke with the cashier last night She was very helpful with tell me where to park my truck and trailer

Upon entering the hotel she had a smile on her face and was extremely nice She even recommended a place to grab dinner Walked into my room everything was in place and clean I really enjoyed my stay and will be coming back

Andrew Pleus

Picked this hotel last minute while we were on the road when we decided to stop for the night There were places nearby that were cheaper, but none rated as well, and after checking in we saw why The gentleman at the front desk was pleasant, the interior courtyard was amazing with it’s indoor pool, and all the rooms opened up to this space

Our king bed suite was spacious and well appointed The bed is fantastic Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone considering it

Nathaniel Burrison

Stayed 1 night to break up a long road trip I was cautiously optimistic about this location, as I had seen mixed reviews The layout of rooms was definitely different as all rooms l open up into the main indoor courtyard

Arrived at room to be pleasantly surprised You could tell property had attempted to modernize some aspects of furniture and overall room which was nice Room had a seperate living room/lounge area with a door that seperated it from the bedroom which was a nice touch Room smelled clean and bed was nice and comfortable The place was over-all quiet during my stay Only mild criticism was that our room had several significant water stains in bedroom area which kond of took away from the overall updated feelWould definitely stay there again when in the area

My family and I stayed last night and everyone was super welcoming The room was clean and my kids enjoyed the pool The bartender was also great! My kids enjoyed their breakfast

Although there is a cost for the hot breakfast it was very reasonable for what we paid for a nights stay I don’t know why anyone would give less than a 5-star review Definitely will stay again! Thanks again for the hospitality!!!

Megan Vessalo

The hotel was clean and safe There were zero carts to haul luggage at 5 in the morning because they said people take them, which made leaving a room with 2 small children really frustrating in the morning My husband had to take 3 trips while I sat with the kids before we could take them down, and by then they were both wide awake instead of asleep as we were hoping for

I guess for $220/night I would hope for a luggage cart

Tricia M

I should have read the reviews before booking This place definitely needs some work & maintenance It’s a Hilton Garden Inn & I figured it would be kept up

But it looks like people drag luggage against the walls intentionally 🤣 The microwave seemed to be from the 70’s You need hulk strength to quickly pull the folding closet door open & I slammed my hand trying to close it cause it needs some WD40 The chair was broken It had a motel 6 vibe During busy check in time they were mopping the main floor from the lobby to the elevators, so counter productive because people were making dirty footprints & my kids nearly slipped & feelThe comforters are all dingy & fuzzy They only give you the sheet & that comforter no light blanket between layersI know the hotel can’t control this, but it was gross At 10pm we got a heavy smell of cigarette smoke in the bathroom, so someone was too lazy to go outside for a smoke & we got to smell itThe breakfast was horribly done There were 2 people working the hot area, they couldn’t keep up with the volume & literally told us that & the cold stuff wasn’t stocked I’m so glad I bought my own bagels the day before so my kids could eatThe pool is sooooo small for a large hotel & the hot tub was taped off out of orderThe positives: they have liquid coffee creamer & there was a nice maintenance man named James & the water pressure in the shower was awesomeFor what they charge, I expected so much more See pics- my favorite was the bottle cap my kid found & could have swallowed

This comfortable hotel is conveniently located off of I95 and is a perfect place to get rest The rooms are in great shape and very clean House keeping does a great job

Coffee maker and coffees are provided The front desk personnel were so friendly and accommodating The breakfast was plentiful and had a variety of options I would definitely stay at this gem of a find again

Robin Cooke

When you drive up to this Quality Inn, you might worry because it is a older type motel But don’t let that turn you away The location is great, right off the I 95 exit, the front desk staff, both when we checked in and out, were friendly and helpful

The rooms were clean and comfortable Breakfast smelled really good and there was plenty to have It’s a good value at a good price It’s a perfect stop on your way to and from the beach

nick gorby

As far as 2 star hotels go this is a pretty good one Room was fair sized with a mini fridge, microwave, single serve coffee machine, blow dryer, iron, and a small table with 2 chairs Chairs were short for the height of the table

Lighting in the bathroom could be better Great water pressure and the place was clean I’d like to see all the hotels go with tile floors instead of the carpet which this one has Bed and pillows were comfortable and clean This isn’t a new hotel but seems to be well maintained Free breakfast bar that starts at 630 which I wasn’t able to make it to Rates are fair There are a couple vending machines which is pretty standard Right next to a Dunkin and another restaurant basically right in front of the hotel Parking was a little tight Lots of stores and restaurants in the area and close to the interstate

We stopped on the way home from vacation to avoid some traffic on 95 The valet parking was $12, but the front desk let us know the self park we be the same I noticed some other reviews complaining about this cost, but this seemed reasonable for a downtown area

We did choose the valet parking, but would likely self park to save some time calling the front desk and waiting for the car, even though they were punctual with this We had a room with a window over looking the bar area, which was a little different, but cool The area looked like it had a lot to offer with shops and restaurants We stopped by the new park, but If skip that again They have a very small dock to the water front and there isn’t much to see, its worth using your time to explore the shops The staff was friendly, rooms were clean The bartender was extra kind to our daughter and made her a family fancy Shirley Temple

Great location with numerous restaurants within steps of the front doorDecent rooms, appropriate for a business-class hotel However, the property could use more attention to routine maintenance

An example is depicted in the attached image of the door jam of my room It has been worn for some timeNote:– The room heat works very poorly It takes far too long to get warm– The military discount is only offered to active duty service members I’ve been a Titanium Elite for years — translation: I stay at a LOT of Marriott properties — and I have never previously been denied a military discount– 1″ gap under the door lets in far too much disruptive light from the hallway when trying to sleepI often include in hotel reviews, my wish that hotel managers would actually stay in and view their property from the eyes of a guest Things like the gap under the door, and far too many disruptive little lights in a room are things you would NEVER tolerate at home But guests are expected to accept and PAY for those things at a hotel

The staff was very friendly and accommodating The breakfast was a nice continental However there were many issues with the room

Upon entering, a smell hit you in face instantly It smelled horribly musty I imagine it’s from no exhaust fan in the bathroom There were multiple light bulbs that were out and needed to be replaced The tub drain no longer worked and was being propped up by a piece of wood that did not stay in place while showering so water just collected in the tub And the icing on the cake was the baby cockroach that ran across the table the morning we were leaving Definitely a serious lack of maintenanceWe stayed here for the pool for ours kids while breaking up our drive on vacation but we honestly would never stay here again We paid way less for a different hotel in Fredericksburg on the way to North Carolina and it was FAR superior to this one

Mandy Selvage

We stayed last weekend, April 30 Upon arrival the staff was friendly and accommodating When walking up to our room, I noticed the hotel just appeared to need a good cleaning

There was visible dust and dirt Under tables in the lobby and along the runners of the staircase We booked a non-smoking room but when we walked in our room had a very strong smoke odor- not fresh just like embedded in the room The lady at the front desk was very accommodating and apologetic Our new room smelled better but the bathroom was not very clean (floor and outside of toilet), huge stains on the floor right as you walk in and lumpy comforters on both beds Also, anytime I tried to warm anything in the microwave after 15 seconds the microwave would flip the switch on the little plug strip it was plugged into I would have to take my item out, pull the microwave out of its little cubby hole and flip the switch back on and start back over- every time I microwaved anything more than 15 secondsMy kids did enjoy playing in the pool however the space again needed a very good cleaning There were lines of ants trailing, all sorts of other dead bugs around the pool and you didn’t even want to walk barefoot- this is an indoor pool! The hot tub was out of order And was half full of disgusting stagnant water Having towels available for guest usage down at the pools was convenient and appreciatedIt was quiet and we did all get a good nights sleep The breakfast spread in the morning was quite nice and they had options for everyoneOverall it was not the worst place I stayed in but for a Country Inn and Suites it was sub-par

This is a middle Hyatt hotel It exceeded my expectations for a 3 star hotel Hotel was is excellent condition with the exception of a small spot in the bathroom that had some mold on the ceiling

Other than that I would stay here again Breakfast was very good – location excellent as there was a major grocery store steps away as well as a few restaurants and a microbrewery!

Johnise Little

The room were very comfortable and cozy The only downfall is there are no microwaves in the room There is only one microwave to use and it’s downstairs

Got up Saturday morning for hot breakfast which starts at 8:00am This is defiantly to late to start a breakfast for hotel guess especially in a weekend Tried making oatmeal for my daughter only to see that the microwave was very dirty inside I understand trying to cut down on the spread of covid, but this doesn’t make since to have one microwave for everyone in the hotel to use Once the hot breakfast did start there was only bacon, potatoes and eggs that was considered hot breakfast What happen to having a waffle iron to at least make a waffle? Which is in most hotels I have stayed at

Susan Ginsberg

Room was clean, large and beds were comfortable Front desk staff were friendly and accommodating The breakfast was poor

Powdered eggs were terrible Hard boiled eggs were undercooked No bread for toast, only plain bagels available Cereal was for kids Only healthy option was a limited selection of yogurt The breakfast needs to be updated It’s 2022 not the 1990’s!

We stayed here a couple of nights ago for a one night stop as we traveled back to New York The reviews were decent, so I booked it We had a wonderful stay

The staff was so pleasant Our room was also spotless As others have mentioned, the decor is a little older It was surprising that the older furniture was in great shape Pretty impressive for a hotel There was coffee available in the lobby any time and the breakfast buffet had a huge variety Larger than I’ve ever seen at a Hampton Inn before I don’t know if we will pass through Fredericksburg again, but if we do, I’d stay here again in a heartbeat

Guy Parvin

This was the best hotel experience that we had in years We chose this hotel because of the good reviews (which is not always accurate) The room was very clean and everything was in good condition and worked (rare)

The staff was great, not a sour person among them The breakfast was the best that have had in years and the man taking care of the breakfast was professional, friendly and was always busy taking care of restocking items and emptying the trash My wife dropped a sausage on the floor, when she went to pick it up, he came right over and said that he would take care it, with a smile

Kathy Vining

The staff was friendly, welcoming With the unfortunate deterioration of this country & the often offensive attitude of the upcoming generation, the visit here was like it used to be & how it should be The room was clean (maybe just needed a tiny bit of updating), but we had everything we needed

We felt safe & comfortable The bed & pillows were the best! The bathroom was clean & well kept It’s one of the nicest places we’ve stayed at in a long time Also, the hot breakfast that was included was fantastic!

Very deceptive website concerning amenities and availability of staff We stayed here two nights but we were never informed that we would not receive any housekeeping services or that there would be no person on site or available at night in the event of a problem When we contacted the owner, he neither apologized nor seemed concerned about the lack of both

He claimed the lack of housekeeping was because of Covid, which was simply an excuse to not provide a full service bed and breakfast experience even though we were charged the full price The website for the Kenmore Inn should have made the unavailability of these services very clear If they had done so, we would have made alternative accommodation plans Plus, if the lack of amenities was due to concerns about Covid, as was claimed, why weren’t the staff wearing masks?

Bremaro1 Bogley

Visited the Kenmore Inn last weekend and could not have been more pleased Arriving 30 minutes before they closed for brunch, the staff could not have been more gracious, friendly and accommodating The crab dip was absolutely delicious so anyone who thinks you cannot get excellent crab dip outside of Maryland needs to come here

It was accompanied by a pita like chip and was just perfection My omelette was perfect as well! While waiting for the food to arrive we chatted with our excellent and wonderfully friendly server Rhonda, met the manager and toured the beautiful rooms This Inn is a treasure and we will definitely come back!

Matthew Brunette

My wife and I had our wedding at the Kenmore Inn on Saturday December 12th and it was the most special day of our lives! The Kenmore is such a beautiful place to have a wedding and the staff was so helpful and truly went out of their way to make our wedding day so special! I would recommend the Kenmore Inn to anyone looking for a beautiful venue to have a wedding!

The room is standard sized for a Marriott, beds are comfortable, and the rest room was decently sizedOur beds were not queen sized although we paid for queen size We were exhausted when we arrived and didn’t bother to report it after the hour+plus drive to get there due to trafficThe shower was backing up, but by the time we could report it, we were checking out the next dayThe HVAC has a plastic deflector to direct air and one screw wasn’t tightened down It kept us up most of the night each time it turned on and vibrated I ended up tightening it just before we left and again, too late We just wanted a room we could fall into with the right beds, a functioning shower drain, and a quiet night’s restThere was a good selection of breakfast: microwavable foods, cooked foods, yogurt, pastries, etcI don’t know if I want to stay there again considering the amount it cost per night during an off season This was my experience the weekend of April 9, 2022

stayed here for 2 nights for a friend’s wedding The room I was given was far below average vs something of similar cost They advertise a breakfast as available on their website, yet the breakfast only consists of bagged muffins and stale granola bars

There was not even juice for water available for kids, only coffee was served as a drink While the staff was exceptionally friendly, the hotel itself offers no reason for you to consider it over other available options

The service and room was great! The only reason I’m giving them a 4 star rating is because I waited almost an hour before they brought our crib to us when they had said it would be there in a few minutes They apologized when I called the front office asking for an update and we’re very quick to bring it afterwards Despite that, I would still recommend staying here!

The entire staff was friendly, professional and efficient Beverly , at the front desk, was especially sweet and accommodating She went out of her way , with coordination from housekeeping, to make it possible for our party to get into our rooms earlier than the standard check-in time

Not because she had to , not because we were demanding it , but because she is good at her job and genuinely cares about giving excellent customer service The hotel was clean and comfortable Perfect for everything we needed during our short weekend stay I Would definitely stay here again if travels bring us back to Fredericksburg, VA

I recently stayed at another Hampton Inn, which is why I chose this one The rooms are comfortable and clean The staff here were very helpful and gave us cold water bottles upon our arrival, which was super appreciated

The complimentary breakfast and coffee are delicious I love having the Hilton App so I can check in/out and access my room key all from my phone

Great hotel experience! Well managed hotel! This hotel is clean, quiet, and has a friendly, and helpful staff and it’s near everything This is the best choice for a good night’s sleep in a clean comfortable bed They also have a free breakfast and they do not skimp on choices

This will be our go to hotel on our trips to the Northern VA and DC area We’re so glad we chose to stay here!

Phil & Pat Dennis

Made reservations for three nights while I was going to run in the Marine half marathon and do some touring of the city The website and my confirmation notice did not indicate a three-night stay was required Due to a family issue, we could only stay for two nights

While checking in I was informed for the first time of a three-night minimum stay I told them I had to leave after two nights (which I did), but they still charged me for the third night I have no problem with hotel policy requiring length of stay, however, this was never mentioned at time of booking (although probably would not have booked since I do not like those types of requirements) or was not included in my confirmation email I only asked for my $180 back for the third night I was not there, but you would think I’m asking for a lot more given this managements response Between my calls and Hilton corporate (who I contact to try and resolve the issue), management at this property denied the refund each time Very poor management and customer service at this Hilton property Stay at your own risk

Check-in is very friendly Had to keep getting my room key reactivated and front desk took extra measures to check my name for security purposes Witnessed the lady checking in the people in front of me that were being difficult and she remained very professional

Room was clean and got a great 3 nights of sleep after working a Home Show See you again in July!!!

Dan Kmett (DKMB)

Very clean and sanitary, room in good condition and a nice extra of the sleeper sofa with the king bed room Very comfortable bed and a TV that actually works well Decent breakfast offering, though I miss the donuts

All items were pre wrapped and fresh The breakfast area was well kept by a very hard working and friendly woman, Susie Again, very clean and well stocked Would stay here again in a heartbeat, All the staff was very cordial and wore masks Only complaints were that outside road noise was heard from I95 construction and the coffee could have been stronger but it was always available

Rob Eamer

Although the property and room looked nice, there were some serious deficiencies that will prevent us from ever coming back This hotel was our pit stop on our way home from Florida and most of the outlets in our room did not work so we were not able to re-charge some of our devices More importantly, the beds were very firm and uncomfortable so we all had a terrible sleep

Also, only one ice machine in the building worked We will definitely not be back on our next trip

This was a lovely B & B!! I enjoyed a spacious suite right off the courtyard Delicious cookies in main dining room & brandy in the room for sipping! Very comfy beds, nice little kitchen, 2 televisions, sitting area and games! The breakfast was absolutely outstanding

apple French toast, yogurt with fruit & granola, sausage, potatoes, juice, and hot or iced coffeeyum!! The Innkeeper and chef were just the best!

Rachel Falkenstern

Best B&B I’ve ever stayed at! People are SO friendly and accommodating, breakfast was excellent, self check-in and -out and parking super easy, very clean and comfortable room and bathroom Stayed for three nights in late July and the AC was perfect–I was never hot nor freezing I had the Canopy, with a private bathroom across the hall, and never saw another person

Also probably the best location of all Inns in Fredericksburg, smack in the middle of town so you can walk to ALL the cute shops, cafes, restaurants, bars, etc (and three minute walk to the Amtrak station)

Patricia

The house is gorgeous, room hospitality was excellent, and staff went above and beyond to accommodate our arrival and departure times by keeping our bags when we arrived before our room was readyI’d give five stars, but the breakfast was disappointing It was a beautiful presentation and served right on time

However, everything was loaded with sugar and there was no item that had nutrients It was all cakes and syrup The only nourishing item was two balls of watermelon and half a strawberryOverall it was a wonderful stay and we would stay again, but would ask for different breakfast items

I want to start out, I normally don’t write reviewsbut as a mom, I wanted to warn other guest traveling with children

This is not a place to stay We arrived to our room last nightroom 237 There was hair in the shower, on the floor and wall in our bathroomit was so gross!!! It was short curly hairthen long hair all over the bathtubWe got in late, if I wasn’t traveling with family, I would had left We had ants in our room and a stink bug, my son found a beetle in his bedthe floors were dirty Breakfast was goodbut my son found a ant on a table while we were eating The beds were comfortable I would not recommend this place to anyoneit needs to be treated by professionals for bugs! My parents had ants climbing up there door frame We will not be back!

Machelle Morningstar

Room was nice, staff was nice My complaint is I asked for a room with my dog They gave me a room at the very back of the building, knowing I was female and by myself, and I did not feel safe

I thought the other rooms might fill up but only a few did Just did not feel safe at this hotel Because of this, didn’t sleep well After a very long day of driving, and the time of night it was, I stayed, but I almost felt like I needed to sleep in the floor Don’t recommend for women traveling alone, or families

Nathan Whitney

Nice rooms inside but motel means each room has a public walkway right outside This was an issue due to residents hanging out and having conversations and laughing in that area, making sleep more challenging Additionally, the tip of the window there is a open space which means you can her the highway, cars in the parking lot, etc

I am a heavy sleeper but even I had issues sleeping the night through

Dog friendly hotel with fridge, 2 burner stove, microwave Perfect for short or long stays Room is a perfect temporary work location

The room is not large, a little cramped, with couch desk and bed, but well-designed to make efficient use Kudos to the young lady at the desk who was also pinch hitting for the breakfast cook Nice breakfast

Rob Myrick

The hotel not only accepts pets, but it has a dog/pet park It is a good size park area and in the shade tooThe room is quiet and comfortable

And after a hot day with dogs, the cold room was perfectGreat stay and the dog area makes this one of the best properties we’ve stayed at in the last 15 years

Jason Womble

Hotel is tired and in desperate need of updating Just okay is the best description Plaster patches on the ceiling and a musty smell in the bathroom

First room I was given was clearly smoked in Front desk was quick to move me to a new roomInternet speed average 7 over 7 Not the best but functionalLocation was convenient for my needs but I truly doubt I would ever stay here again
