We arrived around 8pm from a long day of driving Sandy checked us in She was sweet and kind

Reviewed all the amenities with me After we got our room, we went to the business center to fax some documents The fax was not working correctly Sandy saw we were having issues and offered to help us She got us taken care of quickly Her guest service was the best I have seen in a long time We stayed at two other Fairfield Inns on our trip, but by far Sandy gave us the best service Thank you

Checked in Christmas day Guy at counter had the personality of someone that might check you into the county jail Noticed a strong odor of weed at the front door and lobby

Room was good and clean, but no room service Found out later that room service has to be “requested” Never heard of that and I travel all over the country Would have been nice to know that at check in, but since the guy hardly spoke, I’m not surprised that we weren’tWorkout room was decent but the scale was brokeBreakfast was meh but the Indian guy at breakfast was extremely helpful and friendlyGot us fresh coffee and water without us even asking Great service from him He was the ONLY hotel staffer that acted like he even cared that you were there But one guy with a great attitude can make a world of differenceHotel was located in a unique part of town Right in the middle of 2 different communities Go to the left to see drug dealers, hair weave salons, and bail bonds and poor customer service everywhereIf you go right to go to decent side of town restaurants with good friendly staff, Chic fil A, and Golden Coral, etcEvery night the door to the lobby and the front desk area smelled like some was smoking weed

Visited this last weekend with large group from 8/14 to 8/17; room 116 It was relaxing and staff very pleasant The food & service during our evening meetings was fabulous

Tell them I said thank you!! Check-in was quick and easy One slight mishap; 30 min after arriving to my room I heard a few housekeeping staff talking outside the door I happen to be sitting on the bed watching TV; one of your male staff members just walked in without knocking As soon as he saw me he didn’t say anything turned around then walked right back out the door If I was a female and naked they probably would have been freaked out Please make certain they knock before entering a guest room Ty!!

So we just had a girls weekend and of course we are going to have a good time no matter what The staff were 10 star as well! I would like to make a few suggestions though1) Please cut some trees back so you actually have a view of the lake

It’s a ‘lake lodge’ and no view of the lake2) Get better mattresses for your guests It was Hard as a board and I had major back pain throughout each night and I don’t have back problems Terrible sleep while staying due to this3) Rooms get either too hot /muggy or too cold with no ceiling fan to circulate the air in the room Had a difficult time having a nice comfortable temp for our 3 day stay Maybe install some ceiling fans at leastI will still stay here again as lake Lanier has very sentimental reasons as to why like it here but major renovations are needed in the guest suites And for nearly $900 for 2 nights I expected more comfort in my room and a lake view at least

Evan Kerendi

It’s a nice hotel, but there some things that need updating The room itself was nice, but it was a little outdated in terms of decor and the bathroom was also small Also, it would have been nice to have an in room safe instead of having to ask for one

The windows could also be a little bigger or there needs to be a little more lights, as the room could get a little dark Other than that the room was very nice The staff were very friendly, and the elevators were a little slow, but that was not a problem However, it would’ve been nice if the hotel required key card access on the elevator an to get into the building from any side or back entrance Overall, I would probably give this place another chance

I just did a quick overnight camp but I will definitely return Old Federal offers access to the water AND they allow dogs I unfortunately came woefully unprepared to get the most out of the campground: left both my dogs and my SUP at home

But the views were beautiful and from my limited time there it seems like a delightful campground Will definitely revisit

Stephen Yeiser

Stayed at site 5 Good tree cover Secluded from other sites but directly across from the bathrooms and showers

So, no need to fill up our tanks but didn’t get bothered by others eitherHad some geese and their gandlings spend the afternoon on a little beach just down the hill from the site They weren’t aggressive though Pretty cute For the elderly, it might be a bit much to get up and down the hill to that beach thoughHad some friends come visit on their boat Made for s great afternoonAll in all, a great site and campground

Monika Shafer

Booked a campsite here almost a month ago Now less than 2 weeks before we’re supposed to make the 10 hour drive we get an email that our reservation has been cancelled due to “construction” No more information than that

No option to switch to another site Left us scrambling to find another place to camp close to the family we’re visiting The pickings were pretty slim Not happy campers 😕

Good hotel with elevator (not ordinary one-floor-motel, but as to me I don’t like elevators, but this building really good) Clean room with dark blue carpet, calm place, near the NGU campus Hot water with great pressure

Internet 100Mb download, 64Mb upload Great king size bed with awesome mattress Only one cons: Clogged Sink So, 4 from 5

no thanks

The hotel met our expectations based on the price other than one very, very frustrating thing There are seemingly zero seals on the doors – both between rooms and the entry doors The people in the room next to us were up laughing/talking (not even loudly to be honest) until 4:30 in the morning and you could hear every word

Strong marijuana smell that permeates the entire floor All of the doors have strong closers that slam shut Disappointing because other than that things were great – excellent breakfast, nice staff Please upgrade the situation with door seals!

Samuel Phillips

Great location but the service was not very good I was here for 3 days and they wouldn’t service my roomNot a big fan of getting accused of neglecting rowdy children, but they accused my wife and I of this

After thanking the staff for all the concern I was then accused of being rude to the staffIn all, I hope I don’t have to return here again for business But I’m sure it will happen by no choice of my own

After having a horrific experience with a hotel down the street while in town to visit a family member in the hospital, the staff at Hilton was extremely empathetic and accommodating, showing concern for the what we had already been through, and seeing that we were paying for two hotels in one night, they offered us a discounted hospital rate Breakfast wasn’t included in the hospital rate but that’s okay because, even though we had to pay separately for breakfast, it was inexpensive (less than $10) and well worth the money The room and bathroom were very clean, and the beds and pillows were comfortable

After a rough evening, I slept like a baby I’d recommend this hotel to anyone

Braydon Click

Where do I even start This place is not worth the price you pay At all

6 persons stay is $275 for 2 beds and a sofa bed You don’t even get free breakfast with your stay either When we walked into the room it had a smell to start The room was not stocked and we had to use our own toilet paper and soaps Not only does the room not look appealing, but there is something on the ceiling as well The lighting in our room was horrible and all the lights hum The sofa is so used that you can feel every spring The fact you don’t have to pay to enter the gym and pool is surprising to me You’d think this greedy company would try to milk as much out of you as possible Horrible experience And I was expecting good things from this hotel considering our Hilton experience in the past Extremely disappointed and dissatisfied with my stay as well as my families stay At least the staff was friendly

Julian Jordan

I enjoyed my stay here when I did stay, and the guest services were very nice I would note however, I recently called about trying to have a late check out for a wedding that was coming up in about a month, as well as possibly having the rooms for our group be close together The person at the front desk, Chad, seemed a bit unsympathetic in the way he told me there was nothing he could do except on the day of

I absolutely wish that there could have been more hospitality and kindness in the way he addressed the situation

I love the Hilton Honors app and the convenience it affords me to check in early and choose my room and also I can bypass the front desk when I arrive using my digital key to let myself into my room Ty was so helpful and friendly She went above my expectations in resetting my digital key and offering any assistance required to ensure I was a satisfied

Thank you so much, I will absolutely return

Rebekah Staats

Amanda and Dreew at the front desk are wonderful!! They both made my two day stay very enjoyable, they were friendly and very helpfulBreakfast was ok however no gravy, no fruit and no yogurt options Bed was very comfy and clean, spacious room and easily accessible to multiple restaurants, shopping areas and the interstate

Jean Singbush

I have to say the bed was comfy, and that means a lot However, we were told the hotel had been renovated in the last 3 years, but the carpet was filthy and the elevators are ridiculously slow In fact, at check in the Front Desk even said- it takes a while for the elevators to come down… I just figured it was only a 4-Story tall building, but with no one using the elevator, it took approximately 7 minutes for the elevator to get to the ground floor

It was empty when it arrived, and we were there after 10pm, so we were the only ones using it I’m concerned what tomorrow will hold, as more people will be up and about and potentially adding to that time! The AC in the room was not working properly but the Front Desk agent came up and got it working I don’t know what’s happening at Hampton Inns, but the same thing happened with the Air Conditioner at a Hampton Inn (Tampa, FL) about a week ago That’s such a crucial piece of comfort, it’s not acceptable to have to call for service as soon as you walk inI took some pictures of the carpet in the room, but this is far too heavily soiled so leave it

Stayed here before when it was brand new, wasn’t happy so I went elsewhere to give them a chance to get organized Saw good reviews so I stayed here again Not sure how it got good reviews

Now I trust the reviews less The guy that checked me in did an awesome job but it went downhill from there The room was nasty, the TV did not work, and the internet was terrible The milk made two people sick and gave me a belly ache The next morning I watched one of the ladies it made sick tell the breakfast girl She looked at the date and said it still had a couple of days so she left it to make more people sick I had been up for 35hrs straight so I asked for a 1pm checkout and was denied Even though I am diamond and have had to wait on them till 6pm to finish cleaning the room last visit My room key did not work so I went downstairs The hotel was closed with no clerks Several of us came and went for over an hour, but I had to wait because I couldn’t get in my room Last time I’m ever staying here Called IHG corporate and working to get them blacklisted by our travel manager Meantime, you should be careful staying here Since I always have to book last minute I always get the hotel that no one else wants because thats isually the only one available Next time I will pay $50 more and drive 30min farther I recommend you do the same

The park was beautiful, and clean Enjoyed my stay However when trying to extend my stay the system would not allow me to book a reservation due to a 3 night minimum for holiday weekend

Even though I already stayed 1 night and was willing to reserve the 2 additional nights Customer service could not help me So I had to cut my weekend short and the park has vacant campsite that can’t be rented Sounds like a system flaw Everyone I spoke with was very kind and understanding yet there’s nothing they could do Sadly I am told this is the process for all lake Lanier parks so be sure to plan ahead or you’ll be discouraged Because customer service won’t be able to assist you

Libby Moore

I have traveled in my RV over most of this country, and Bolding Mill has always been my favorite Sadly, this visit I noticed that it doesn’t seem to be kept up like it used to The grass was high when I got here, and still has not been cut almost 2 weeks later

The campers next to us left a couple of days ago leaving some debris That site has not been cleaned The bathrooms needed some cleaning as well Come on Bolding Mill Take care of it like you used to so that it can be my favorite campground again

Susan Snead

Bolding Mill Campground is my favorite Campground in Georgia which makes this review very hard to do We were there early August 2022 The grass was knee high everywhere, making the bugs even worse

No storm debris had been cleaned out for the season Sites are not cleaned between each reservation The bathrooms weren’t clean and needed some work All these things would not have happened a year ago Bolding Mill, please take care of my favorite campground!

Low quality Holiday Inn Express In dire need of an upgrade, and bare minimum amenities Feels like staying in a cheap motel

Had the pleasure of stepping on a puddle of white sticky substance right by the door, so that shows the extent of their cleaning routineAlso, I know it’s just bar soap, but Econo Lodge, really? Pretty sure that violates some IHG standardBut atleast it’s an excellent representation of what you can expect from this place Same as at an Econo Lodge

Whitney Lesnicki

We had a great experience, but unfortunately the front desk keyed our room to a different guest! Some random guy opened our door in the middle of the nightIt seemed to be an honest mistake

otherwise it was VERY clean, the staff was super friendly, the beds were comfortable, and we would definitely stay again

Craig Duncan

It’s an odd but strangely cool hotel/motel (there’s more mo than ho) It’s the second time I’ve stayed here and anytime i have to stay a night in the Gainesville area this is where i will stay Hope this makes sense, my star ratings are based on how everything should be for this type of lodging A 4 star rating at a Ritz Carlton and a 4 star rating here don’t mean the same thing

Extremely happy guest here! The staff were friendly, my room was clean and it had a beautiful fully appliance stocked kitchen w/ a standard size fridge instead of those tiny little mini fridges The bed felt like I was snuggling into a cloud so 10/10 would recommend The hotel itself I learnt was recently built so I appreciate the little more modern design for my extended stay (plus it has a convenient coin washer/dryer room only for guests!) and it is located away from loud traffic so I can actually peacefully relax after a long day

Definitely will book again!

Sharon Curtis

We booked a 3-night stay and the first night we discovered that the garbage disposal in the kitchenette did not work We decided against going downstairs to report this (the in-room phone did not have an extension for the front office and when I tried to call from my cellphone, not one answered) We reported this as we were leaving to sightsee and as of now, the disposal still doesn’t work

My husband and I are Titanium Elite members and always stay in Marriott hotels and I have never experience such a lack of concern for a major room issue

My husband and I stayed for three nights at the Lanier Island’s King Suite Villa on the lake Being one of the most expensive rooms in the Villa section, our expectations were somewhat high Although the villa itself was spacious, we would never stay there again

Here is our breakdown:CONS: Even before we got there, we had questions about our reservation There is no local telephone number available on the website, so you always get some offsite India answering service, and the call gets dropped a lot (it took me three calls to get the answers I needed, which included confirmation of our booked reservation because the confirmation email never came through) I usually don’t mind these call centers, but they weren’t able to answer basic questions, and the English was very difficult to decipher It was very frustrating Now to the hotel: The king bed and pillows were terribly uncomfortable We didn’t sleep well all three nights The air conditioning was super cold, and you can’t set it at a higher temperature, so we had to turn it completely off, and then back on later, to be comfortable (or turn on the fireplace) The couch was tiny, old, and felt like cardboard You CANT comfortably sit there There were occasional little baby roaches on the counters and ceiling, but you are in the woods, so…The sink in the mini kitchen wasn’t connected properly, so when we used the sink, it flooded the living room area and wet the rug, which when lifted, smelled moldy Obviously this was most likely not your typical event, but, it happened to us and we had to have staff come in and fix it, interrupting our relaxing morningYou can’t see the lake in the spring from your villa because of the trees, but I imagine in the winter you can You have to get water bottles from the front desk because they don’t provide any in the villa (which we found out the hard way when we got into the villa at midnight and didn’t even have one water bottle waiting for us – also they are half-size bottles) When the maids came, they didn’t restock our paper coffee cups, so the next morning we had to go get coffee The lodge isn’t too far, but it’s an inconvenience when you want coffee first thing No plates, forks, etc were provided at the villa (I recommend having some paperware available for future guests) Also, when we checked in, it’s clear the maids didn’t thoroughly clean the bathroom, as we found blood spots on the underside of the toilet seat from the prior guestLastly, the light is so terrible You can’t see anything in the evening Even with every light on, you can’t seePROS: The pool was excellent, as was the soaking bathtub in the villa Sidney restaurant breakfast was pretty good and the waiters were wonderful The restaurant next to the pool provide really great alcoholic beverages The property itself was pretty and well kept The beach was ok, but callaway’s is much better (The signage is terrible when looking for the beach – you have to ask where everything is to get anywhere) You do have access to good restaurants about 15min awayOn a final note, I mentioned some of these matters to the front desk, but aside from fixing the sink and waiting two hours to get water bottles brought to us by the staff, nothing was done about the other matter We got an apology but no solutionRecommendations for Lanier Management:1 Have a local number available on the reservation page (after someone books), and if you can bring the phone center in house, I’d recommend it Also check your reservation email funnel, because I called twice to get the reservation email, and it didn’t come The email that did come said I needed to complete my booking, though I already had done that (and got the confirmation number)2 Provide 4 bottles of water for new guests in their rooms For water and coffee Replenish them throughout stay3 Change the mattresses, sofa beds, lighting, and spray for pests more frequently4 Provide a few paper plates, forks, and spoons5 Allow guest to change temperature of the cool settingThank you!

Ed batis

I had high expectations of this place looking over the reviews, but after staying there for one night there was no need to stay longer Stay in a junior suite to find bugs around the floor appeared to be roaches! If your looking to relax the bed were so uncomfortable I had a very hard time falling asleep, I might have slept a couple of hours Food choices were NOT great! Ordered there award winning chili and just had lots of beans and tomatoe chunks in it was very dry with no meat? Chicken tenders were also not very good had them tossed in Buffalo sauce and that’s all you can taste? Wings were okay nothing to brag about

The one great thing was there corn on the cob it was amazing, unfortunately I can’t base our stay on the corn The gym was very nice but there was NO had sanitizer with the pandemic something that should be available About the one thing I found to be relaxing was the pool area, but unfortunately with all the negatives on a week of celebrating your 20th anniversary this is not the experience I had in mind at all Just fyi do research if you plan on having a relaxing time away vacationing or celebrating with this resort I do have to say that upon first impression of entering Lake Lanier was breath taking on how beautiful it was which is why I’m Saddened to leave this review

Tia Atkins

The customer service at this resort is ridiculous What every happened to “Southern Hospitality” The front desk is very rude, no southern hospitality at all

I went there for the Thanksgiving last year and stayed a week From check in to check out the front desk staff was the same, no manners and very rude As that being your first customer contact on property and face of the resort, based off of that alone, I wouldn’t go back The park for the kids (snowland) was nice The elf young ladies, the kitchen staff and others like the room service was very customer service oriented, but the front desk, uh-uh I’ve worked in several hotels and travel quite often, for such a big named resort, their customer service really needs to improve at the front Other than that, the food was awesome! Oh, and the elevatorstake the stairs Might’ve been just for that week I was there that the elevators were over exhausted, but the stairs was the better option

This is a really great hotel It’s a couple of years old but I found that surprising because it looks and feels brand new It’s got a very modern look and the lobby has got a beautifully colored design and is very comfortable and welcoming

Also welcoming is the staff! Lavonte and Sonia, the general manager were both so friendly and hospitable when I checked in, they made me feel like they were genuinely glad to have me as a guest The room itself also has a stylish design and most importantly was spotlessly clean The air is fresh and the bed was crisply made, and the bathroom was shining All around an exceptional experience I can’t recommend it more highly I’ll definitely be returning
