Booked this hotel for a short trip to Seattle based solely on the reviews and I wasn’t disappointed The front desk staff were very helpful Got an accessible room with a wheelchair fit in bath and it was truly accessible

The hotel staff gladly provided a bath chair when we requested one Cleaning was done promptly To top it off, the allowed a complimentary late checkout that gave me time to shop at the nearby south centre mallThe restaurant meal was quite affordable and really tasty Yeah will likely stay there again when next i visits Seattle

Lisa Brown

Very nice experience here The restaurant downstairs has great service and drinks The environment there was perfect with enjoyable music and ambience

The hotel room was fresh, clean and modern It was very quiet and peaceful The mattress was more comfortable than most hotels I’ve stayed at Very tastefully decorated All the staff were warm and welcoming I would recommend this hotel and would stay here again

Wendy Pope

I really wanted to love this hotel for my work travels It’s modern and new and clean The beds are comfortable and it is fairly quiet overall

The parking is terrible HOWEVER, the customer service is HORRENDOUS!!! At check-in the staff was great But Monday morning staff were rude and had an attitude when calling down with a need You call the front desk and it rings for 10 minutes before they answer Oh and I had to call 6 times for a hairdryer in one day After calling twice and waiting over an hour I was late for a meeting I had to dry my hair with an iron because they wouldn’t respond to a simple missing item in the room Should make them pay for my hair treatment since my hair will need repair after this trip Still haven’t received a hairdryer and it’s been 12 hours or request via phone and email I would recommend you stay somewhere that you are appreciated as a customer and that simple issues with rooms can be resolved with one call I will be telling my corporate travel team not to book anyone else in this hotel again

Place was okay The Breakfast was not good at all, and the tables and counters were dirty They weren’t refilling the breakfast as needed

Room was normal, clean But other parts of the hotel weren’t The person at reception was not friendly and seems like she didn’t care about the guests and answered the questions mumbling and while doing something else, even that I was the only one there with herNot all the rooms have bathtub, which is not good when you have little kidsOverpriced for the experience we had I was definitely expecting a better service

Arif Khan

Hotel looks very new and the rooms are in great condition Breakfast is not very well stocked It’s like they plan for the breakfast items to run out by 10am and don’t restock for latecomers

The staff was okay, some were great while others seemed like they didn’t really want to do their job which was unfortunate since the hotel and facilities were really nice

Phy Chan

Definitely could use more variety on their breakfast – same food option for the past couple of days that I’ve been here and I’ll be here for couple of days Same sausages, same eggs and same everything over and over, when there’s a sign in the elevator that advertise variety and rotation of food on daily basis Since I’ll be here for a few more days – let see how they will make changes to the food per this review or not

Will update

Kristi

My room was nice, the bed was super comfy, it was very clean, and shower pressure was okay I was sad to have a parking lot view, but someone has to have it The balcony was nice and the staff around the building were very attentive

Beautiful grounds to explore My only wish was that breakfast room service would have been available but the hand pie I ate for breakfast was fantastic The dining room was really lovely as well Overall, it was a nice stay

Connie Grant

Wow! Beautiful location, grounds, common areas We loved our room, the bed, the towels, the robes, the soap and bath salts The restaurant was delicious

The shuttle to the airport was a great perk We enjoyed the hot tub The complimentary snacks were delightful This is a 5 star establishment I’ve already told my travel agent for his future cruise clients! The next time we are in Seattle, this will be our first choice!

CM Scott

It was quiet and relaxing for the most part You could hear dogs barking sometimes, but it wasn’t too noisy The bed was amazing to sleep in, and the tub was deep enough to soak in

If you showered when everyone else did, you didn’t have hot water for long, and there is definitely temperature control on the water The grounds are beautiful and it’s close to the airport

Nice small hotel, clean, friendly staff but not enough due to labor shortage I believe The manager is proactive The swimming pool is small and was closed during my visit

Walking distance to Microsoft Breakfast good enough The room was clean with enough towels but giving on the parking lot even at the second floor so plan accordingly Would recommend

EDIT: The owner responded to this review saying they had contacted me and had offered me Marriott points That never happened

I was never contacted nor offered pointsQuite frustrated with my experience with this service I had made adjustments online to my reservations and apparently they did not go through or I made some kind of mistake I was charged for a room that I never stayed in and the front desk person I spoke to was quite rude & condescending saying that he couldn’t give me any kind of refund on the 1 night I was charged although I had the next night still booked I needed to stay there 2 nights so I asked to add an additional night and he wanted to charge me $270 when my original amount was $135 He told me because they were at capacity they couldn’t help me at all with a refund or honoring my original booking price I ended up cancelling the entire reservation I was surprised by the level of service as it was the worst I have received at any Marriott (I am a platinum member and have traveled on a monthly basis for the last 8 years) Definitely unfortunately it seemed like there was no attempt to “make things rights”

Olivia P

A few things that added up over time–I want to give them the benefit of the doubt, maybe they’re short staffed but you do NOT get daily house keeping and have to opt to call for housekeeping For a 5 night stay, we were offered one day’s worth of housekeepingYou must call to get towels, toilet paper, tissues, etc

, and when calling at 9:30 am, the girl seemed unsure if she’d be able to get me towels and said the “house man has been cleaning for a while, he should be able to bring you them” to which he did, but it still felt like an odd thing to say The next morning, we had to go to the front desk to get towels and wash cloths because there was no housekeeper onBeing in a nice area, this situation seemed extremely odd for a Marriott owned hotel and again I don’t know if this is due to being short staffed but you pay for a hotel expecting the entire experience, not to check in and THEN be told they barely have housekeeping and you should take out your own trash and leave it at the door by 10 amI’m also not sure if this is a Washington thing as I’ve never been charged for parking at a hotel, but being charged $8 a night for parking and then having to scour the parking lot for a spot is absolutely outrageous My sister has a disability and people were parking in handicap spots with no handicap stickers They have an “overflow” lot which our room was a good walk away and having to walk from there at 1 am by myself after paying for parking is ridiculousThe room is clean, breakfast was nice, and the staff friendly, but overall kind of a bizarre hotel experience that we weren’t expectinglikely due to corporate and nothing to do with in-hotel staff

Beautiful property, so close to Bellevue downtown yet next to a very green forest reserve We got a well appointed room by 3* standards and lucky for the views The staff was friendly, we loved the games (pool and shuffle) room and an easy family friendly lobby vibe

Breakfast was underwhelming the day we stayed, but everything else including comfortable beds worked very well Will love to be back

Vinita Ramnani

I am giving this rating as one of your staff members Diana has not been welcoming and rather rude to me whereas others have been really helpful I came down to the reception to get some amenities like toilet paper and some tin foil which I was refused for in a rude tone The other receptionist was trying to help me but Diana said we can’t help it’s their problem to the other staff

I would like you to seriously take this matter and give me a call about it

Amanda Peterson

We moved to WA and had a three week extended stay here while waiting for our lease to start Friendly staff and willing to help! Washer and dryer is on site, during our stay you need to request housekeeping which was nice as you could pick a date s time so you know when they would be coming inWe had a one bedroom suite that came with a dining table and separate desk to work remotely at

Internet worked great for all my work video calls, part of the roomVery nice surrounding area and walking paths Dog relief areas are clean and in front of the building off so the sides with bags to pick up after your dog if you don’t already carry themHot breakfast each morning, was super good and buffet style Mix of hot and cold breakfast options with eggs and oatmeal, toast/bagels as daily options and a meat that alternated between sausage links/patties, biscuits and gravy Staples like fresh fruit, yogurt with lactose free options Juice and coffee

Loved our room We stayed in a king with a jacuzzi spa bathtub right in the room Loved that the tv was on a flexible wall mount so we could angle it and enjoy a movie while relaxing in the tub

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable The staff went above and beyond for me! Can’t recommend enough! I will definitely stay here again if and when I am visiting the Seattle area! Thank you!

Brian Yoksh

The hotel overall, and the room I stayed in, was an older style The room was clean and they came in and cleaned and made my bed everyday There is a decent amount of storage in the closet

I was surprised that they had a hair dryer They had a small mini-fridge, coffee maker, and microwave There is a desk and a couch and a nice comfortable bedUnfortunately I was disappointed by many things First, their restaurant is closed I asked about it and they said the restaurant has been closed for couple of years due to COVID-19, and they do not have budget or staff to operate it As for the room, there was constant whistling of wind under the door which made it hard to sleep When others on the floor open and close their doors, the whistling changes tune When the air conditioner unit in the room comes on it added to the noise Then at times the mini refrigerator would come on and off periodically so there was a real wind orchestra of sound in the background at all times Also, the lighting in the room was less than ideal–it was hard to get enough light at the desk, and I struggled to find a light that I could leave on overnight After the first night I left the microwave open as my night light so I could sleep They have a big screen TV although it must be plasma because it’s showing signs of burn in Also the remote did not work well I also could not stream to the TV which was a disappointmentPlease like my review if you find it helpful

kt

For the price, definitely wouldn’t recommendThe rooms are fine, clean & simple, safe area, but not worth the price at all Get an Airbnb

Almost every single day I’d have to get a new room key & they’d make me verify all my info One of the older men at the front desk was very rude & told me my name wasn’t on the reservation when I was THERE at check in Don’t be rude to me when your staff messed up

So to begin with the staff was very friendly and helpful If everything was based on that I would give 5 stars However, just a couple “issues” to drop a star

1 Credit card reader was down and made eating in the restaurant a little challenging 2 The pool/hot tub was down so if you are booking there for that reason, don’t It would have been nice to post that on the Hilton website The room was clean and comfortable Again, the staff deserves 5 stars

Dana McG

Truly lovely My favorite staff were the two who served up my first morning’s breakfast, which was delicious and made to order; admittedly- it really is hard to choose my favorite ‘anything’ about this location, since my stay gave me such awesome memories! I would have to mention that was difficult to leave, but I certainly plan on returning as soon as I can 10/10 smiles, will recommend

King roomGood: Hotel and room were clean and front desk staff is friendly and helpful Quiet

Plenty of food options nearby We only stayed overnight and left fairly early so we did not have time to eat breakfast, but it looked like a pretty good spread No room service, as yet, but they did say the bar was opening back up the next day after having been closed for 2 yearsThe not so good: This is an older hotel and the room had some issues The bed was not comfortable – I have back problems and bring a wedge pillow, which usually helps, but this time it did not Did not have a good night’s sleepThe heater blows out cold air and is very loudThe television is small (32″) – they use direct TV and the reception was horrible In addition, the TV menu has limited capability for navigationThere was no mat in the bathtub and did not see any non slip stirps, eitherThere is no fan in the bathroom and the mirror fogs up to the point where you can’t see at all The bathroom door doesn’t have a doorstop, so we had to prop it open with a shoe so we could clear out the bathroom enough to see into the mirrorWill most likely not stay here again

Beautiful lobby, rooms were very clean with lots of towels Front desk staff was very nice and friendly There’s also a little market open until 9:30 with snacks and booze

Lots of food options around the area as well Pool, fitness center, everything was clean and updated and had beautiful little string lights Overall a great hotel and seems well taken care of I would definitely recommend it

Love that you can get guaranteed connecting rooms at this hotel Very convenient for my family without having to worry about room locations The hotel is a little outdated, but they make up for that in every other way

Checkin was easy, and the gentleman helping us was pleasant, cheerful, and gave you all the info needed to enjoy everything the hotel had to offer for their guests Evening reception was wonderful, relaxed, and also inviting We spent a great deal of time in the pool and the hot tub was perfect Hot with strong jets The rooms were quite spacious, with a dining table and a sectional pullout couch in the living room and a king bed in the bedroom I appreciated having the bathroom located just outside the door to the bedroom I’ve stayed at many hotels where the bathroom is located in the bedroom so everyone has to come through just to use it I missed breakfast but my in-laws said it was probably the best breakfast they’ve had at a hotel Lost of options, tasty and fresh Overall, my family enjoyed this hotel very much! If staying in the area again, we would definitely return to this hotel Again, a little outdated for my style, but with the service, friendliness, room sizes, complimentary reception and breakfast, it doesn’t get any better than this

Buzz Hurtado

This lovely hotel offers plenty of room in each suite for a traveling family Checkout took less than three minutes and we were surprised to find out there was a manager’s reception in the evening Breakfast was an easy choice to get the day started with some great options

The location near Bellevue is awesome without having to deal with all the traffic or parking hassle We will enjoy booking this place again!

Stayed here in July There were some pros and consCons: Getting checked in took nearly 2 hours even though we had a reservation and had already paid for the room and stay

They double charged us and the process of getting the $1600 refunded was lengthy and took nearly 3 weeks for it to be returned to me (as refunds normally go, should have been a week at most) They didn’t process the refund in the first place, and calling didn’t make it go faster Talking in person three separate times finally squared everything awayTL;DR Communication was lackingPros: Everything else was amazing Great amenities, loved the bed, very clean room, amazing bathroom Parking lot is easy to manage and very close to restaurants, stores, and the freeway Heater and AC worked fine Elevators are clean and work well Couldn’t find the stairs thoughPhotos attached are after a two nights stayOverall: Would stay here again, but would book over the phone and use my credit card instead of my debit

J Leng

Few hotels in the greater Seattle area can match the level of customer service we witnessed while staying at the Hotel America In example: while I was enjoying the free breakfast one morning, I inadvertently started spraying non-stick oil on the grill before looking for the waffle batter I didn’t realize they had temporarily ran out of waffle batter

Amazingly, the breakfast team overheard someone using the spray oil and quickly ran out to me with a freshly made cup of batter to pour on the grill I was shocked at their level of initiative They also kept the breakfast room VERY clean I love that! Perhaps best of all, they went out of their way to get me a great room when I arrived VERY LATE at night and my original room was not yet ready Two big TEXAS–SIZED thumbs up!

Jim Link

Charged my card even though I canceled 2 full weeks before date of canceled stay Getting a refund virtually impossible (STILL TRYING) This business is not operating with any ethics whatsoever

Disingenuous at it’s core DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALLUPDATE-THESE FOLKS TOOK CARE OF MY REFUND ONCE THEY WERE MADE AWARE, AND EVEN REACHED OUT TO MAKE SURE ALL WAS GOOD WILL DEFINITELY GIVE THEM A TRY NEXT TIME!!

What we liked:1 We stayed in King bed studio with a kitchen Room was big enough and comfortably furnished

2 Complimentary breakfast every morning had variety, nutrition and taste We had a filling b/f every morning :)3 Staff was very helpful and on their toes for great hospitality4 Good and reliable Wi-fi5 Cleanliness and clean linens6 Great locationWhat we didn’t like:1 $8 for parking was bit pricey, specially considering it was never mentioned during the booking2 Kitchen needs to have a tad more cooking utensils A pan and an extra sauce pan would be a great add3 Dishwasher was flooding from inside and we had to manually clean the dishes4 Clear guidance should be given to guests with pets to not leave poop on the pathways The passage right outside of our room was soiled with dog poop

Mike McCurley

Yikes, where to begin I’m still shocked they consider this a Residence Inn property I travel for work and almost exclusively stay at RI, and this was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had

In summary:- Previous guest’s underwear with soiled menstruation pad attached was found under bed, along with used a tube of lipstick and loose candy When brought to manager’s attention, barely apologetic and no offer for monetary compensation or points credit Someone had to come with gloves to remove since it was a bio issue- Kitchen poorly stocked, no trash bags or dishwasher pods- Dirty dishes in dishwasher- Crumbs in kitchen drawers and many in oven (causing a burning smell that permeated the room when used)- Conditioner was nearly empty—ran out after just a couple uses- Cigarette butts on patio (and all throughout grounds)- Lots of trash throughout grounds in general- Large ball of black hair found on carpet- Housekeeping entered the room while we were out, ignoring our request left on the door that we were “all set”- Toilet made a high-pitched screeching noise until handle was shaken- Booked a King Studio (and confirmed at check in) but received Queen Studio- Could never get through to hotel desk via room phone, always had to walk to lobby to ask for things- The coat closet smelled horrendous so had to keep shut- No extra toilet paper, had to ask- The sofa pullout did not have a complete set of sheets, had to ask- Had to ask for extra towels twice because housekeeping took them away when they entered our room (ignoring our sign) and they didn’t leave the same amount they took- No pool towels (why we asked for more)- Pool was frequently closed for cleaning during peak hot times of day- Landscaper blew leaves and dirt all over our patio with leaf blower- The property is very outdated and in need of lots of cleaning and repair- Just want to note there’s an option when booking directly through Marriott website to add special instructions (extra pillow, extra towel, sofa bed sheets) I did this and not one item was prepped Pointless feature!- Wi-Fi was terrible, TV barely functioned (pixelated and picture couldn’t match sound)- They emailed four folios—one was blank and three were only for parking, so I had to walk to the lobby at checkout to get the actual folio for the stayWhen I asked to speak with a manager about these concerns, no one was on site The staff advised me to come back in the morning at a specific time, which I did When I arrived the next morning, the staff said the manager wouldn’t be on site that dayI’ve now called corporate two weeks in a row and both times they’ve told me to wait 3-5 business days while they escalate with the hotel manager and that someone will contact me I haven’t heard anything from anyone about these issues and we checked out 14 days agoTo say I’m disappointed is an understatement And to think this stay was worth over $2,500!

Great experience in this hotel Can enjoy the lake sitting on the sofa The sofa can accomadate 4 people, 2 each side

Great for close friends to have a talk, play card games, drink cups of cocktails and enjoy the night The room feels clean and fresh The swimming pool is comfortable The restaurant give me the opportunity to have a great brunch sitting on the patio just next to the lake Will definitely stay at this place again next time I go to Seattle

This hotel is probably optimal for Boeing visitors but the location is terrible for anyone else Rooms are fine but I paid extra for a partial lake view

I could only see the lake looking sideways very close to the window This is rip-off I requested room service and the bed was made, but the room and bathroom were only partially cleaned Last, nothing to do around No decent restaurant walking distance (the only good one is closed half week) The lake shore walk is pretty nice though

Richard Malone

We stay here for work and while the building is a little dated, the rooms are cozy and clean Just a few minutes from the airport with a shuttle that runs all the time They have a decent breakfast, mostly continental type

Sometimes they have hot sausage The staff is super friendly and accommodating The restaurant in the parking lot is great!

We stayed for several days Great layover hotel before or after your flight Very clean, comfortable and quiet despite having the airport close and a fire station even closer

The kiosk at the front desk makes life easy for printing your bag tags and boarding pass before you leave The staff is fantastic without exceptionShuttles run to the airport every 20 minutes so you can even turn your rental car in early if you’re departing on a flight!

Coast Gateway Hotel was exactly what we were looking for before travelling: it was economical, clean, the staff was friendly, and the room was big enough for our 13 pieces of luggage and us Shout out to Ericka for being super helpful when we let her know we’d be arriving later in the night, and a gentleman behind the counter who happened to have a quark screw handy so we could open a bottle of wine I recommend Coast Gateway Hotel for all arriving and departing travelers who need a place to stay

The blackout curtains do the job and plane noise was surprisingly very low due to the quality windows and insulation Cheers!

I came to this hotel during a tough transition in my life while I waited for my new apartment to become available I was mentally exhausted and very much in my own head while simultaneously dealing with work calls and e-mails on a day in day out basis The staff was so helpful and friendly during my stay especially the front desk

I interacted with both the morning and night shift staff with each interaction being as pleasant as the last I’m a big believer in my own life on treating people with respect and genuine intentions because you never know what someone is going through even behind a smile I think the staff at this specific hotel really embodies that mentality intentionally or unintentionally and I genuinely appreciated that aspect of my stay In regards to the hotel it’s self, it’s very well kept and clean throughout the building while always smelling nice The lobby area has a nice zone where you can sit and relax in case your up early or late They also have a water park and pool across the street no more then 500ft away which is a big + for families 5/5 stars Thank you

This hotel is a very nice property for the price and class Close to the interstate with very easy access to Seattle for me it was only 17 minutes Is very close to shopping centers and other amenities that you may find helpful when you travel

The rooms were clean with good quality fixtures and beds Hotel website photos were accurate description of locations within the property Fitness room was very good compared to many hotels I have seen Breakfast is included and his much better than most locations with real hot food prepared for the guests

The manager doesn’t know hospitality at all The manager had me move my car 3x because the he didn’t like where I parked it The hotel has a coin washer/dryer but offer no coin exchange at the front desk

I really like Best Westerns, but this one is very badOne positive is the cleaning staff has been awesome cleaning the room

Stayed at this hotel with family of 4 for a few nights The hotel seems new and modern with clean rooms and public areas Service from staff was also good

Breakfast was your standard hot and cold mix, not much variety day to day but sufficient to get you going in the morning (eggs, sausage or ham, baked goods, fruit, yogurt, cereals, and waffles$12 per day for parking resulted in minus 1 star 🌟Really good location that is walking distance to shops, restaurants, and the State park!Would recommend and would stay again!

Our room was spacious and beautiful Why 1 star? The tub drained slow for me Then it wouldn’t drain for my husband

There was still half a tub of water in it in the morning The toilet stopper wouldn’t go down We had to manually push it down These are major issues that housekeeping should have noticed We seriously wonder if housekeeping was doing its job! Why didn’t we ask for a room change? It was late and we were tired The next morning, we told the front desk They were sorta apologetic but didn’t offer any compensation We typically stay in Hilton brand hotels Over the years, we had two issues at Hilton brand hotels: air conditioning condensate dripped into our bathroom from the room above and the front desk didn’t check my id before telling me my room number (happened that there were 2 guests with the same last name and he gave me the key to the wrong room) When we told the front desk, we were either compensated with points or a reduced rate I wrote a letter to Marriott corporate, asking for compensation with points They referred it to the hotel All we got was an email This is only the 2nd Marriott brand hotel we have stayed in Both had customer service issues I think we will stick with Hilton brand hotels

My husband was told there was parking available for our truck and enclosed trailer We had traveled from Idaho with our infant and exhausted The only parking at the hotel was an oversized parking for one vehicle on the side of the building and it was occupied by a truck that looked like it could fit in their parking garage

They told him to park at the business across the street but had to move it at 8am , if that oversized parking wasn’t available again he would have to drive around looking for a spot where it wouldn’t be towed Mind you, we had been driving for about 11 hours already and got In around 8pm or so I asked them where is he suppose to park, they said they didn’t know, but everyone leaves in the morning so the oversized spot should be available We get to our room and the shower wasn’t cleaned There was a clump of hair on the wall of the shower, we were so tired We put the baby down to sleep , showered and laid down Husband couldn’t even relax in the morning because he had to move our truck and trailer, and the one oversized parking they mentioned was still occupied He ended up having to park at one of the shopping stores down the block If I wasn’t there to help with our son and keep him in the room, my husband would of had to load up our son and drive around aimlessly looking for a spot and then walk all the way back to the hotel with himBreakfast was great, had free wifi and they gave $40 credit back for the hairNice restaurant across the hotel that does dine in, take out and delivery

We stayed there for the weekend of 6/4-6/5 and it was a great experience Our room was clean, very quiet, and the front desk staff are wonderful people The location is great because we took the train to the stadium for Luke combs concert and it only took 20 minutes to get there for only $5

50 per person The parking was $80 per car at the stadium which is way expensive!! We felt very safe and we went to feast for dinner which was only 5 minutes awayWe love it so much we’re going back for the Sounders game in September and will be staying there again I highly recommend this place and oh yes they offer free breakfast!!!

Rooms were pretty clean But I did find some dishes that weren’t clean It wasn’t a big deal; I just ran it through the dishwasher

The people at the front desk were very helpful The location is right off the high way I would definitely not keep anything valuable in your cars, and make sure to lock your stuff up There was a lot of night traffic in parking lot

This place used to be excellent! This last visit was a bit different Friendly staff at check in, however the hotel had a different vibe Seemed to be a lot more people “living” there

The parking lot had a lot sketchy people wandering it in the evening The room AC worked when it wanted to Tried sleeping with the door open, however the aroma of cigarette and weed smoke that was coming from the lower balconies made that impossible
