Beautiful, clean, and comfortable place to stay! Loved the location and walked to downtown and to the Cornell campus Kenn and Madeline are great hosts! Very friendly and easy going! The breakfast each morning was unbelievable! So delicious! We had a choice each morning of what to have for breakfast We are so glad we stayed there!

We LOVE staying at the Inn On Columbia! Madeline & Kenn are the most wonderful and hospital hosts The options are fabulous and always clean, well appointed, and equip with anything you might need Breakfast scones and muffins are always fresh and yummy, but if you prefer a full breakfast, no need to go anywhere but the main house where Madeline will cook you up an incredible breakfast from scratch! Whether you’re in town for work or a holiday, the Inn will never disappoint! Thank you, Madeline & Kenn!

The hotel management (Kellen) and staff were incredibly polite, professional and efficient! My room was clean and quiet I really enjoyed my meal with family at the Monk’s restaurant in the hotel Affordable and decent wine list, fast elevators, clean inside and outside of the hotel
Great location for access to local restaurants, stores, parks, Cornell and Ithaca College I will be back!
Tina Hoff (LifeBeats)
We have stayed in the Marriott in downtown Ithaca NY twice and each time the rooms were immaculately clean, and the service was excellent (even though, like all service industries, they are short staffed) The breakfast at Monk’s Restaurant is really good, tooDuring our most recent stay, my son worked out with me in the fitness center, and did too much after a large meal
He got sick, and after calling the front desk, a very kind custodian came to help His name was Jose, and he was very understanding and helpful We were very grateful for him He should be commended for his service and his kindness
M
This hotel has potential because it’s a great location and I like the more modern features and thoughts in the room It seemed like there was fresh air pumped into the room and you with a little work to get the room dark at night And quiet with the idea of putting the fridge and microwave further away in a cabinet
There was some nice efficient feel to a couple of the hospitality staff I dealt with but mostly felt inconsistent and inconvenient, especially at the beginning before I knew my way around and the limitations You are very much on your own now with mobile phone key entry They don’t leave a phone number or a menu in your room so you know where to order food when you arriveIt seems possibly they hire some people quick to do some jobs around there without the right training or value in hospitality or allowance to accommodate, and that matters for everybody

This seems to be an old hotel remodeled If they spent half the money on the rooms and just paint the building white, this might be a better rating I asked to be moved because my front door didn’t open because the door would get caught on the carpet
My remote didn’t turn on my TV which had to be done by hand The thermostat didn’t react to changes made Room said it was 69 I changed it to 72 Laid down then noticed heater didn’t kick on so changed to 73 Nothing 74 and heater started up Bed seemed like it was an older model with heavy use It’s next to a Mexican restaurant that’s good enough and across from a speedway so that’s a plus There was a young lady with glasses who was super helpful up at the front desk which helped as well I hardly rate hotels but I’ll start after this
John Hector Heinen
Most hotels provide you with soap and shampoo Some bring their own You get in the shower and there is no shampoo or soap what do you do? Hope you can pump out enough to wash
Housekeeping forgot to fill soap and shampoo bottles I like this concept since this prevents more plastic waste in our landfillsOther than that I had a pleasant stay and staff very kind and helpful with all my needs Thank you all
Chris Parker
It’s a nice Fairfield Inn The breakfast is minimalist but fills your belly OK Super nice front desk staff and checking in on the app beforehand made it fast and our key was waiting for us
The pillows are down so you may need two at night AC worked well in the room My only complaints were the gym was set to 78 and was locked so it couldn’t be changed which made running on the treadmill quite toasty and the shampoo in the shower was basically water Some paper towels or regular towels in the gym to clean up sweat after would be good The hotel is 2 minutes from Buttermilk Falls, 35 minutes from Watkins Glen State Park and about 10 from the farmer’s market which is a must go to on the weekend

Nicely appointed rooms with a modern and clean feel The free hot breakfast is rather good, and the close proximity to Buttermilk Falls State Park (within walking distance) is a wonderful bonus! The beds could be firmer, and there could be more towel bars in the bathroom, especially if there are more than two people sharing a room However, the Dove soaps and shampoo are a plus, and the gym and indoor pool are nice amenities

One of the best hotels in ithaca (we have stayed in many) The staff here are amazing Nicole and Sandie really made this trip amazing they are some of the best staff
Nicole not only made last minute accommodations for us, but any issue we had was immediately fixed Sandie made an excellent breakfast and kept everything clean, making sure there was fresh fruit out for everyone Me and my family will be back here!
Esther Snavely
Room 301: Bed is really comfortable, the air conditioner buttons are broken but it still works great The room is very clean, little odd for the bathroom light switch to be by the entrance door and not in the bathroom The window curtain is completely black out, I suggest you turn a light on before closing it
Lol learned the hard way Breakfast has plenty of choices to pick from The staff is helpful It is nice to be in the city of ithaca and have peace and quiet as soon as you walk in the door of the hotel The rooms are big and spacious We enjoyed ourselves enough to stay another night

Stayed in corner suite facing clock tower Beautiful views and decor Room was well kept and spacious
Staff were excellent minus valet staff, whom were a complete mess Seemed like there is always too many cars sitting out front at all times so the front entrance is supper clogged Still giving 5 stars for service because other staff were so great Heard Statler is the best hotel in the area and it lived up to its reputation!

This hotel has excellent parking, very comfortable beds, helpful staff, and the complimentary breakfast was well- stocked Pat was extremely helpful and attentive in the breakfast area She make our experience top-notch
The whole hotel was clean and secure and we felt very safe The complimentary cookies, fully stocked coffee area, and water bottles made us feel welcome
Roo Dunn
First let me tell you that the staff team was awesome If this comment was only about the desk staff or breakfast crew you’d get top marks Peg answered my questions on the phone and remembered me at the property
But then this Parking lots have to get surfaced and striped I get that But no advanced notice and more importantly no signage and conflicting no parking signs was not just inconvenient, it was unprofessional and it was easily avoidedNext was the room condition It was just plain worn out I can imagine that the owner or developer has put off upgrades Why would they spend money that they can avoid? But seriously A cracked lampshade and broken desk chair with holes is just plain lazy ownership or a failure to delegate authority and provide an AMEX card

WARNING DO NOT STAY HERE! The Hampton Inn Ithaca was one fo the worst hotel experiences of my life First of all, this place claims to be pet friendly, but they charged me a $100 non-refundable pet fee for my emotional support pet You are also not allowed to leave your pet unattended in the room at any time
Doesn’t seem very pet friendly to me Furthermore, the rooms were disgusting The bathrooms and surfaces had clearly not been cleaned and there was trash under the couch We had them move us to a different room, but the new room was just as dirty The pool was also closed, which was a bummer, but the hotel staff said not to use the jacuzzi either because the filters circulated fecal matter and they could not do anything about it We tried to watch TV in our hotel room in the evening, but they do not provide Netflix or anything and the TV channels all were picking up a lot of static to the point where it was difficult to watch anything The hotel is also supposed to offer free breakfast, which I guess they do if you consider a waffle maker and some sausages breakfast The spread was severely lacking any substance or effort The hotel staff also was not very friendly or helpful We didn’t have very high expectations for this hotel, but it still managed to disappoint The Hampton Inn Ithaca basically ruined our weekend trip The conditions were worse than most motels Save your money and stay somewhere else!

This Inn was the loveliest, most comfortable space I have ever had the pleasure of staying in The rooms are gorgeous and the area is incredibly historic; they are within walking distance to Ithaca Commons but with a nice, spacious, private parking lot My sister and I really enjoyed the free luxury espresso machine on the beautiful solarium in particularly
This is a beautiful place and I cannot talk enough about how much we adored our stay!
Bea Rue
We had the absolute loveliest stay at this gorgeous hotel! The mansion was painstakingly restored to its original glory and had the most beautiful furniture and fixtures throughout All the staff were so very friendly and accommodating, the bluestone patio and back tented area were such great additions to lounge in, and every space was incredibly clean and bright with plenty of natural light The hotel was also a very short 2-block walk to the downtown area of Ithaca Commons with all the shops, bars and restaurants
We loved every second there and can’t wait to return!
John Catlett
We had an excellent stay at the Argos Inn The staff was friendly and attentive, the atmosphere was very relaxed, and the space was really comfortable The room was beautifully furnished and the recent snowfall made everything seem serene and magical, especially looking down over the lanterns on the back patio through our window
We will be back the next time we come back to town

I have traveled often for work and staying at this hotel was a breath of fresh air Everything from the check-in process, the room itself, the cleanliness, and the check-out process surpassed my expectations in every way The location is excellent, within walking distance of anything in the downtown area of Ithaca
And I have to give a special shout out and thank you to Kate (Katie?) who helped me check out, who went above and beyond with helping me feel welcome (even as I was leaving!) as well as informed about my options for food and transportation I will definitely be back!
Steven Kiel
Absolutely fantastic Ann and Dwayne were extremely pleasant, and the stay has been excellent The check in process was smooth, and everything was clearly explained upon arrival
They had a room ready for us an hour early, and great suggestions for the area on top of the booklet they had for us The facility itself is excellent Extremely clean Not the fake covid cleaning clean, I mean genuinely clean and cared for Dare I say, without fault I don’t understand why such an establishment has such a low cost The pool looked nice, but by the evening there were several towels sitting around The fitness center is nicer, and has a better variety of equipment, than my local planet fitness If I had to point out something lacking, it would be that the business area is just a computer in the lobby with a printer Honestly, what else is needed than the ability to print? The night clerk at the desk wasn’t very friendly or interested in saying much at all, but the staff in the daytime was great If the valet had top hats, I’d say it was on par with the Ritz-Carlton
Patrick Hallock
I contacted the hotel to let them know I’d be arriving early and within minutes they informed me that a room would be ready hours before the usual check-in time The front desk staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area My room was clean with plenty of space and a nice view of Ithaca
And the food at the attached pub was very good I would recommend and stay there again

The BEST Hilton property I have ever stayed at From beginning to end, we were treated professionally and made to feel welcome Super clean rooms, lobby, breakfast/bar area
Trendy and comfortable sixty restaurants within a four-block radius The Ithaca Commons are not even a block from this hotel I loved how green they have manged to achieve I felt good about being at this hotel My husband and I will return again and again Especially during the summer
Brenda
Found this little gem while attending a boat show in Ithaca The well designed lounge area offers fireside options with plenty of seating The cocktail bar and restaurant were fantastic with excellent customer service and a decent menu selection
The front desk “lady boss” was my first impression, and she rocked it Both professional and very personable, shared a common ground conversation about my hometown of Canandaigua and sailing Comfortable beds and cleanliness expected with Hilton, did not disappoint Only downside was the off site parking garage, not a far walk but very low ceiling height for truck clearance Would stay again, but find alternate plans for parking
Kristina Johnson
We paid a little over 2 grand to stay for a week due to educational responsibilities in the area, Only to arrive to no complimentary breakfast, if you wanted the breakfast (which granted we should have verified prior to our stay) It consisted of cold coffee, eggs, bacon, hash browns and the occasional pancake All together you had to pay an extra $14 for everything The rooms were nice, pretty small and intimate which was fine since it was just my husband and myself
The rooms did not have a microwave, nor did they have a small regular size refrigerator The refrigerator was a pull out draw disguised as a cabinet beneath the coffee station in the room Now, please if your going to stay here, your going to have to store food , to which your going to have to go downstairs to use the microwave in the hallway behind the front desk to warm up so please prepare for that The customer service was great, it was quite and everyone was kind, however we will never stay there again Way to over priced for what was provided By the way we stayed in a regular King room, I’m sure they had other room layouts so this review is specifically for that room and our all around experienceAlso go to the near by Walmart after checking in if you do decide to stay here and download the door dash to see the restaurants in the area The local mall is literally, a BJs, Target, and like two other stores Treat yourself to one or two of the many beautiful wine vineyards in the areaParking is a few blocks down the street, in a parking garage to which you have to pay nightly for No valet is offered

Really happy with the service we received Because it was a busy weekend and because our plans changed a few times leading up to it, we ended up booking multiple rooms and multiple different time frames With one quick chat message through the app, the team at the hotel had our rooms all sorted exactly as I asked! Breakfast counter served us 15 minutes after closing
Rooms and common areas were clean and in good repair The near airport location is actually in a very nicely landscaped office park with streams, ponds, deer, ducks and bunnies Great stay!
Chris Christofilakes
Clean and well maintained Things that were aggravating: I was out in a wheelchair accessible room, the layout and features of the room were less than stellar for someone without special access needs The room was right near the elevator and the commotion from the elevator bank ruined two nights sleep
The air conditioning wasn’t sufficient to keep the room cool enough for me to sleep And worst of all, the water pressure was barely effective for hygiene Good location, but I would avoid if possible
Joyce Ho
Picked this location for the price and availability nearby during first week of June Travelling with 2 adults and 1 medium size dog from Boston on my way back to CALocation – was good, located in a business park area, very quiet at night
Parking was spacious and free 15 mins drive to core areaStaff – were nice and helpful, they did serve Starbucks coffee in the morning at the bar, as there is literally nothing nearby the hotelRoom – It was a bit disappointed for the price I paid for It was spacious, however its a bit outdated, and run down Carpet was dirty, I have paid extra $75 for the pet stay, I was expecting spotless I saw dirt, food crumbs on the carpet when I first walked in The bathroom also need some update, the faucet, bathtub, sink were a bit old with stain on itI think the overall room probably need some upgrade and more effort on cleaning if charging your guest $235 a night, with an additional $75 pet feeParking – I think is time to consider adding a few EV charging station at the parking lot to keep up with customer needsFor EV Owners: There are no EV charging station at the parking, I droved to the core area for charging before heading to the hotel

They market themselves as a “budget-friendly” hotel It’s actually far nicer than hotels that cost twice as much The cleanliness is remarkable—I felt that every inch had been cleaned thoroughly—and the people are warm
There are some surprising features like a panel control from your bed that you can manage lights, temp, blinds with etc The guy in charge was considerate about controlling noise after 10 pm, the food was honor system, and there’s beer on tap And I think the campy Cornell branding is fun If you’re visiting the school, this is also a great central and easily walkable location to both the school and downtown I was surprised at how great this hotel is but I suppose there is a hospitality school nearby

AMAZING!! I have stayed in multiple hotels in Ithaca and the Dorm hotel was definitely the bestThe hotel is very cozy and has a European vibe to it The level of detail in every part of the hotel shows how much care was put into it
The bathrooms are brand new and the stand-up showers are amazing The staff in the hotel are super helpful and accomodatingLastly, the location is perfect with Cornell just a few minutes awayWithout a doubt, if you are visiting Ithaca you HAVE to stay at the dorm hotel, I cannot recommend it enough
Emma Martone
I was planning a trip to visit my sister that studies at Cornell After reading all the great reviews I decided to stay at the dorm hotel for a weekend I was definitely more impressed than I expected
The hotel is brand new, the rooms are quirky and fun, and the people working there are extremely helpful With Cornell around the corner, the location was perfect Also, the bar concept in the hotel lobby is something I have never seen anywhere before, which makes me wonder why no one is hopping on this technology I definitely loved my stay here

We stayed at the Edgewood building on their property Room was very clean with coffee, fridge, and water bottles every days Room was serviced everyday
Access to laundry which was great after a long hike Staff was very very friendly Only very minor issue (which could be due to staffing) was the breakfast was exactly the same for 3 days in a row The grounds are amazing What a place for a wedding! Great access to Watkins Glen, Cayuga Lake, Seneca Lake, Ithaca, and the incredible wineries in the region

Have stayed here for many years now for a conference in June The hotel has a new cleaner look and super friendly staff! The manager Terry went up and beyond for our group of about 44 people that was in town for the event! Terry and her staff made absolutely sure we had everything we needed for our hospitality room at all times! Along with the great breakfast and dinners, she personally cooked us all steaks the last evening before we all departed the next day! Hats off to her and the entire staff for a great job and hope you are all there next year when we come to town!

We usually love Homewood Suites, and this one was no different Room was clean and comfortable Staff was outstanding — we arrived early, and were told our room wouldn’t be ready until 3pm (official check in time)
The discussion was overheard by the housekeeping supervisor, who then made sure our room was ready a full hour earlyThis particular hotel is tucked in between a car dealership and a kind of run down shopping center, making it less than ideal to get to, but once you find it, it’s easy

Contacted Diane in advance as I was traveling for business; had some questions regarding the flexibility of my stay Diane was very prompt in her reply, and said it wouldn’t be an issueAs a small business owner, I greatly appreciated the non-chain hotel “feel” of her beautiful accommodations, and Diane herself is so genuinely friendly and helpful
I wound up being there 4 nights, and Diane was ever so willing to let me come and go as I pleasedI would not hesitate to recommend a stay here- absolutely gorgeous views of Cayuga Lake, a few minutes to several good places to eat/drink, etc I will definitely be staying there again next time I am in the area Thank you again Diane for everything!

Although our room was spacious and clean, the rest of the property is extremely cluttered and dirty The common area tables were full of odd things and crumbs, deflated old balloons, lots of dust The outside seat cushions are old, flat and very uncomfortable
The grounds are terribly neglected with overgrown grass and weeds everywhere The outside terrace furniture needs to be replaced and the whole thing cleaned up It was clear Diane was not aware we had booked breakfast and literally pulled leftovers out of her fridge and made a very strange dish that was not very appealing She never asked about dietary allergies or preferences This is unfortunate since she could easily get some bakery pastries, fruit, yogurt, granola etc without much effort and make it quite nice for guests We decided to go somewhere else for breakfast on the additional daysThere was also a very stale dusty smell in our room, on the bedding and towels I sprayed air freshener in the hopes to make it better but it only masked the smell for a little while Yes, the inn is quirky which could add to the charm, but instead it just makes it look dated, dusty and in need of a huge makeover I am pretty sure the comforters, pillows etc haven’t been washed in a really long time If you are considering this inn, please just be aware that all of the photos are very old The inn and grounds do not look anything like what you see I wish I had done a better job in checking the reviews and considered the poor ones, not just the good ones I feel like there was a bit of a bait and switch here

We stayed here August 2-4 in room 237 It was the worst hotel experience we have both encountered When we checked in, two employees were in our room already, which was very strange
They claimed to be “checking to see if everything is ok” which is “why” they were in our room However, I noticed immediately the dank smell as well as the prior guests’ hair that was not cleaned up on the bathroom floor, so I am not sure what those employees were doing in there It kept getting worse We looked outside the dreary drapes and over the air conditioner from 1970 and noticed we had a view of absolutely nothing A concrete wall No sunlight The room was extremely dark and smelt of mould when the 1970’s air conditioner was not on There was no water pressure in the sink, there would only be a dribble of water that came out if you turned it on to its full capacityThe best part was when the family with a baby moved in next to us and we realized the walls were made out of paper as it seemed that we were in the room with them The baby cried for hours at a time, including during the period of 1 AM to 230 AM We were fed up and called the front desk to ask if they could help but they did absolutely nothing They didn’t even call the other room to see if everything was okay (we know this because we could hear every single word of what was happening in room 239)Because of all of this we decided we were going to leave one day early and give up our second night This was one the worst place we have stayed in our travelling life (we have travelled quite a bit too all over the world)
Randall Barnes
I’m simply TRYING to spend money with these people by making a reservation I was on hold for 20 minutes until I hung up Called back and got a recording
Called back and pressed the option for the Director of Sales, got a recording, Hung up called reservations again, and was told I was going to be put on hold I said I had already been on hold for 20 minutes, etc The woman on the phone said they were just really busy and I’D have to call THEM back No offer to take my number and call me I told her if they couldn’t help make a reservation, which is the basis of any hotel’s existence, I guess I’d shop elsewhere The woman basically said “whatever” and hung up I can only imagine what a stay at this place would be like if they could care less when you are trying to give them business I’d say move on!
Doss Freel
Very disappointing for the price I was there for a Wedding and will not be staying there again Here’s the list
-couldn’t get into our room until 4 hours after check-in time-found hair, bottle caps, and half drunk coffee in the room from previous guest-internet was patchy at best-room phone was broken-bubbling wallpaper and ceiling damage in bathroom-full length mirror and mini fridge missing entirelyInformed the front desk about these items during our three night stay and nothing was done

Absolutely amazing stay at the Grayhaven! My Dad and I were in town for the Cayuga 50 race and booked their Shasta compact camper and ended up having one of the best and most unique stays we’ve ever had! The camper was awesome and fitted with a super comfy bed and a very nice porch facing the woods and fire pit area The camper also came with a separate room with power, a couch and a bathroom making it very convenient The staff had the best service and were super nice and accommodating definitely setting the bar high for all other hotels and motels in the area
Overall the stay in the camper never felt confined between the outdoor space they give you and the separate room I would highly recommend a staying here on your next trip to Ithaca if not for the outstanding customer service but the great atmosphere and the amazing little camper!

This place is a must stay! We recently did a road trip through the finger lakes region and initially were only planning to stay one night We ended up adding on a second night when our plans fell through The owners were so helpful and you can really tell that they take pride in what they’ve built
Added bonus- they are dog friendly (and not just “dog tolerant”— we arrived to a welcome treat for our pup, and a dog bowl, towel and sheet They even have a fenced in area your dog can run around in) Rooms were so clean and had unique design touches to them Can’t recommend this place enough If you find yourself passing through the Ithaca area, definitely stay here!
Carolyn F.
We’ve had two wonderful trips here The motel grounds are beautiful and offer amenities such as fire pits and charcoal grills Both times we’ve brought our pup and stayed in a dog friendly room in the Tremane Lodge
These are beautifully spacious rooms with lots of rustic charm and comfortable beds (the firm mattresses take a little getting used to, but you’ll sleep like a baby) Unfortunately on this last trip I got sick and we had to leave a day early The hotel managers were extremely understanding and helpful I can’t say enough good things, and we’re already planning our next trip

My wife and I stayed here for 1 night as we went to a concert in town and didn’t want to drive home at 11PM and we saw that this place had good reviews I was frazzled from recon effort to figure out downtown Ithaca to locate the concert venue and parking The gentleman at the desk of the hotel was very nice and actually calming
He gave us a great rate on our room and told us of many places we could find dinner Admittedly, for the price our expectations were low despite the good ratings We were surprised when we found the room spacious, very clean and comfortable The gentleman at the desk told us there would also be free breakfast We expected prepackaged muffins and cold cereal Again expectations blown out of the water by a great breakfast bar with Waffles, eggs, sausage, cereals, bagels, fresh fruit, coffee and juices and probably some things I forgot We definitely recommend this place to travelers looking for a simple, clean place to stay with a great breakfast
Rebecca
If I could give more than 5 stars I would! Room was clean and staff were amazing I was coming from Colorado so my Great Dane could have heart surgery at Cornell University This hotel was the only one who asked if my dog was well behaved and allowed him to stay here
I would think with Cornell having a prestigious vet program and people traveling so their dog could have procedures done here that there would be more hotels friendly to all dogs Definitely stay here if traveling to Ithaca
M. Klein
We were in Ithaca Commons and were trying to find a place to stay that had good reviews and was affordable This seemed to fit the bill with lots of positive reviewsThere is a picture in the main lobby showing the property years ago, and many improvements and a revamp of most of the facility were done just over a couple years ago, so things are still relatively fresh
The front building seemed older in appearance than the rooms further from the road This is not generally the type of place we would stay at (budget vs luxury), but for what it is, it was fineFor a Rodeway Inn, this is at the high end, hence the rating There was some wall paper peeling and minor items that need attention (area around the ice machine), but in general it was good I was a little worried about parking our car and when to check on it in the middle of the night when I heard something, but was impressed with how lit up they keep the lotBreakfast was basic, but hit the spot
