We broke down in Missouri and luckily made it to a safe parking lot It was Sunday and no repair shops were open so we had to get a room for the night since we had a bunch of kids Holiday Inn was way too expensive so I tried Auburn Place

They got us in for a fraction of the price and the inside of this motel looking building really surprised me The area where they served Breakfast had a water fountain in the middle and another one on the far wall Very relaxing atmosphere The indoor pool is overlooked by rooms on the second floor via balcony And a second floor pool table and ping pong room also have a balcony overlooking the pool area The staff was very friendly and accommodating

The employees were fantastic from the check-in desk to the food area to the bar As we ate, they checked on our satisfaction multiple times We arrived with only thirty or so minutes to spare, so the bartender recommended we go ahead and get our three free drinks up front to be sure we didn’t miss out on them

Our room was clean, comfortable, well decorated, and had towels to spare (this is usually not the case at other hotels)In fact, we loved this location so much that we made sure to make it our stopping point on the drive homeIn our travels since the pandemic, we’ve had a hard time finding good service, clean rooms, stocked supplies, and free meals Cape Girardeau’s Drury Plaza Hotel Conference Center checked all of those boxes! I think I’m going to make it a point to stay in Drury hotels whenever possible because this stay was so nice The complimentary breakfast and “5:30 Kickback” dinner and drinks were all a higher quality than any other complimentary hotel meal I’ve ever had The employees were all friendly and helpful, no one ever passed us with anything less than a smile on their face and a bubbly greeting

The room itself and the entire hotel in general was clean and pleasant The small things we noted that were less than ideal were losing water pressure during showers at random times that may have been caused by someone in a nearby room flushing a toilet or using their own water, and an unpleasant smell in the pool area like maybe they hadn’t cleaned the zipper drains in a while and stagnant water was producing a smell Even with those minor details, it’s still a 5 star experience for the price of the rooms and all the amenities that really made it feel like vacation

It was so spacious, clean, and everything looked new and in great condition Bathroom was bright, contemporary, and nicely appointed with luxury toiletries! Best Hampton we’ve stayed at in 10 years of staying at Hampton Inns Staff was friendly and welcoming They had to recode my key cards about 10 times and we got locked out of our room once and locked in the patio once

Staff was very inviting, competent and polite We have never stayed at a Drury property before and both of us commented that we would go out of our way to stay in another given the opportunity If the chain expands its presence in the world of the hotel industry, I have absolutely no doubt they will be able to outshine any competitors I have been pretty loyal to an upscale chain in the past but if I ever have the option of choosing between the two in the future, Drury will definitely win out

Absolutely amazing We stayed in a standard double queen bed room It was very clean though small and on the verge of being outdated

Everything worked and we had no issues The staff is what sets this hotel apart from others, they are awesome Super friendly, easygoing, and very receptive to our pets Speaking of pets, their pet policy is great and affordable I just hope that nobody takes advantage of this Next time I travel through this area, I will be looking forward to staying at this chain of hotels

The hotel is very clean, has nice rooms and an incredibly helpful staff If you are interested in the details about the place, this is the review for you Generally speaking you get what you pay for

However at the this quality inn, they make you feel like you are home I have been here for a couple of weeks while going to school, and at other hotels I am always worried about my vehicle being stolen, but this hotel has real security cameras all around the outside of the building They keep the parking lot clean, and the windows and walls are thick enough to cancel out the sounds of the road noise That all aside, what most of you probably care about is is the bedrooms and the morning breakfast The bedrooms are very well maintained, and smell fresh The rooms are quite large with plenty of space for all of your things, the beds are very comfortable and they actually have blankets (I have been in other hotels that only have sheets on the beds) The shower is large enough for myself and I stand at 6’1”, most other hotel showers I have to bed over in, not fun The breakfast actually has food that will have you ready to start your morning on a good note All in all Highly recommend

As you may see, this place does not have a web site It is an older family run campground The original owner passed away ?? & now someone else in the family manages it

The place is small, maybe 15 sites Several sites back up to a large pond which is bordered by a wide swath of grass which have picnic tables There is a line of trees along these ‘pond-front’ sites These sites have a raised gravel pad which is pretty level The entire CG is grass & it is nicely mowed There is a bath house though clean is quite rusticWe would definitely stay here again & highly recommend itThere is some road noise from Hwy 34I am using an AT&T hotspot & have had excellent coverage Without the hotspot I have 3 bars

Now, I want to first and foremost thank candlewood for allowing us to check in early That by itself, deserves a five star The reason for four has nothing to do with the service/hospitality

But I upgraded for the suite, and it was clean, with plenty towels and popcorn (nice touch) with a great selection on TV stations The pool area was clean, ample towels and refreshing But unfortunately I had to pull a star off for other reasons This hotel needs some renovations, my suiteoutdated (thermostat off because of the heating/cooling unit) paint peeling off the door in the bathroom Doorbell non-functional Ice only in your room which takes roughly 2 hours to start making ice We stayed one night turned on the machine, bought a bag of ice and the next morning there were roughly 25 banana cubes But if you are grabbing a room right off of the highway, staying for a night or two, and want great hospitality over amenitiesthis is your place I will be staying again solely on the staff and how well they take care of the guests Thank you

As others have said the mattress seem like they are hand me down from the Super 8 AC turns off every 2 hours so you get hot and have to get up and turn the “power saving” unit back on Didn’t get much sleep as the rooms are noisy and large gap under the doors Would not recommend…

My husband and I got a room here because our AC went out The room was only $65 We had to get one on the second floor

I can’t walk very good and I have COPD Strick one!!!!! We get to our room First off it smelled bad as soon as you opened the door Got to looking around and there is something green and slimy looking on the walls and ceiling Strick two!!!!! They gave us another room without even looking for themselves The mini fridge even had mold growing in it Needless to say we won’t be coming here again

I would not even give this hotel 1 star The lady at the front desk was absolutely the most rude person I have ever met in my life I had checked out of another hotel expecting to leave town, here on business when my stay got extended for an extra night

I typically book hotels thru hotelscom but there were no smoking rooms available in any other hotel and the one I stayed in was booked up I called to check availability and was told that they had rooms but could not reserve one, it was first come, first serve I went by there mid-work day and paid for a room for 2 people, then went back to work When I got there later and checked my room, there was not enough bed space for 2 people She showed me another room that was roomy enough but was in such disrepair it was unbelievable I said ok, wasn’t going to be there but to sleep and go back to work the next morning anyway and then she says please don’t destroy my property! I am well dressed and groomed, carrying stylish bags and driving a brand new vehicle No idea why she would ever tell any customer such a thing! I would have cleaned up that room before touching anything anyway I was floored, asked her what she just said to me as her English wasn’t great and maybe I misheard her She repeated that she did not want us destroying her property I asked for my money back and left We ended up staying at Comfort Suites which was further for work the next morning, but very nice and I will be staying again on future business trips to town

Tv was broken, didn’t even have cables to run it to the box, but the tv was stuck on some input screen and wouldn’t work

Place is so rundown it’s gross There’s a motel in bonne terre about the same but they only charge 20$ /night Smh

Wish we would have stayed somewhere else We have a really long drive with kids and we’re hoping to let them swim after driving all day We have swam in a lot of pools and my kids wouldn’t swim in this pool because it was too cold

What a disappointment There was no bedding for the pullout bed No garbage except in the bathroom The window was smeared with gross marks Breakfast was fine Front desk lady was friendly but she was never at the front desk and parks her vehicle where guests can unload We will not ever stay here again Our stay at drury plaza was much much better!! Go there instead!
