Beautiful large and clean hotel The staff was amazing and very helpful We stayed for 10 days total and I must say we are going to miss this place

They made us feel so at home and welcome that it’s hard to say goodbye We will definitely be returning in the future Our suite was clean and breakfast was delicious Until next time Thank you for the great experience

Staff is friendly, breakfast is nice, bed is comfortableOne issue is the lack of thorough cleaning Things seem fine on the surface, but it’s obvious there hasn’t been a nice deep clean in a long time or some things just aren’t being looked over

Pet friendly hotels are great, but they should not be carpeted unless the carpets are being regularly deep cleaned It’s obvious there have been lots of accidents on this one I don’t suggest bare feetThe main issue, though, is with the pull out couch, the mattress looks as though someone either bled out or had a lot of accidents The mattress really needs to be replaced Instead of our kids (6,7) sleeping on the pull out one slept on the couch (also not really clean) and one climbed in the bed with usWe had a great experience with this hotel chain in western Carolina so we were surprised to see this one have a lower standard of cleanlinessBased on the location and kitchenette we likely would stay here again, but it would not be the first choiceEdit- changed to three stars because the mattress was quickly replaced after my original review which shows how diligent the staff here is about responding to guest reviews

We stayed in January 2022 with my parents to celebrate my brother’s retirement from the Marines Unfortunately, my father was in the hospital the week prior and wanted to see his youngest son’s retirement However, the room that we stayed in was filthy and poorly maintained

I’ve addressed this with Hilton Corp and the hotel Hotel says that they will address it but no real evidence of that Hilton Corp offered 5000 points which is equivalent to $50 We spent over $600 Now I’m looking for a full refund

Nice little gem Centric location

Clean room Comfortable bed and pillow I had a great good night’s sleep during my stay Nice amenities (TV, mini fridge, microwave) Bathroom, sink, shower were impecable New carpet Well maintained facilities Parking is well lit at night Best of all, pricing is affordable A great deal for your money I will definitely come back and I do reccomended this hotel to anyone You don’t always need to stay at a “big name” hotel to enjoy a restful and comfortable stayTo the management: keep the good work

These are such NICE people, the beds are comfortable, the place is clean—-please stay with them if you are ever in Jacksonville!I found myself in a fix after my two night stay in posh Patricia Grand turned into a one night stay because I do t know how to use AirBnB apparently And it was super expensive! After frantically searching for a decent hotel that didn’t have reviews about roaches and bedbugs…

and didn’t cost $350, I found the nice folks at Best Rest InnThe hotel is a little older but don’t let that fool you It’s clean and comfortable and nice If you want a big breakfast you can run across the road to Micky Ds They didn’t have a coffee maker Big whoop I never use coffee makers in hotels anyway I prefer the foo foo stuff that tastes goodJust stay here, ok?!

Sheila Baumgardner

Staff very nice and welcoming, room clean and comfortable , we was traveling to camp leguene to drip our son off and his car broke down, they kindly let him leave car there while ordered parts to repair since he had to get checked onto base

couldnt ask for nicer people! Will recommend and stay again ourselves next time we are back in area

The hotel is very nice Mignon has to be the best front desk person ever She went out of her way to help me with anything I needed

She let my brother and his wife check in early so we could get to my son’s retirement from the marines Thank you Mignon! Also when I checked in the gentleman who checked me in was wonderful I didn’t get his name sorry But thank you both for a wonderful stay

Barbara Klarich

The total hotel was very nice and the employees were exceptionally kind however there is no continental breakfast of any kind so you either have to pay for it or go to Walmart and pick out some stuff to cook in your room Also when we went to check in we were given keys for a room that was already in service, since it was late at night we were pretty upset however after about 1/2 hour of waiting for the desk to find another room and clean a room for us we finally were able to get to bed Not too sure about the security at the hotel

Rachael Duke

This place is big, clean and beautiful The staff are all very friendly Jlen stood out the most great customer service skills

A huge fishtank sits in the lobby it is so pretty The Pool was very cold for such a cold day and the tiles in the pool room are dangerous slick I would not suggest this area for children without serious supervision But the pool area is clean and plenty of clean towels The carpet in the hallways look brand new but definitely were not put in right there are a few tripping hazard areas where the carpet is not tight to the floor The rooms are very clean and the beds very, very comfortable The table we sat at in the dining area of the restaurant was super wobbly probably just needs tightening but this area was beautiful and clean to I would definitely return to this place Also the location is perfect right in the middle of town Easy access to everything

My stay was great! Rooms were clean and the beds were soft House keeping was more than willing to help out when I needed new sheets and were really quick getting in and out of the room I was really impressed! Front desk made sure I was taken care of, super respectful and made me feel like family I’ve stayed in a lot of hotels but I’ve never had an experience like this! They have a continental breakfast and the waffles were excellent! 10/10 will recommend and I’m definitely coming back!

Renee Morton

My family and I went to Jacksonville North Carolina to visit my youngest son who joined the Marines He was graduating from camp Geiger This is a popular place to stay near the base

It is about 10 to 15 minutes from the base It is in the middle of lots of businesses There are plenty of places around to eat and shop The Red roof inn is a nice place to stay if you don’t want to spend a lot of money The staff is very friendly and accommodating The rooms are comfortable and clean The reason I did not give it five stars is because it does need a little attention to cleaning and detail outside of the rooms In the stairwells the carpets are dirty and the door handles are loose and need tightening The door that leads outside does not lock Anyone could walk right in However I would stay here again

Christine Holloway

My stay was great Only downside was there are no elevators, so if you have issues with stairs make sure to book a first floor room On the bright side the staff was amazing

As well as clean and comfortable rooms, the staff was stellar! Nil in particular was a highlight to my tip When I expressed an issue with my second floor room, he was quick to offer assistance He not only carried my very heavy bag up to my room but I had two small dogs with me and he carried their supplies as well Nil made everything ok I will definitely book a stay there again because of Nil and all the amazing staff

Everything was nice inside the hotel Staff was nice and they have just about everything you need to have a pleasant stay There is breakfast available here on the weekends

The o e less star is for the accessibility to the hotel and the flea situation outside Lots of stray cats and small critters If you stay here with pets make sure to use some flea and tick prevention on them first Other then that, I would stay here again for a quick trip

Faye M

This hotel looks nice outside The Suite was extremely outdated The rug had large spots

Just replace the rug period The bathroom door did not lock and the room smelled terrible We only reserved for 1 night The owners/management of this hotel should be a shame not wanting to update their rooms/suites I would think they would benefit having a 4 star hotel and not 2 star I would not recommend anyone to stay at this hotel

Francis Thibodeaux

Warning! Do not stay here if your family means anything to you We started out thinking this was a two bedroom with a living room and a sofa bed it turned out being a one-room with two queen beds a sofa bed and the stove with the refrigerator and one bathroom This room was supposed to fit six adults

After the first night we noticed we started itching It was a couple of little bumps here are there but nothing major After the second night, we were all on an antihistamine for itching The beds slept like they were wet dried and just lumpy bumpy mess The rooms were neat but they definitely were not clean and you could smell that I had to end up purchasing a separate room for my other guest We had to throw out our own trash there was no one to take out the trash and there was no additional trash bags in the room Worst hotel experience ever!

This is one of the most disgusting hotels I’ve ever been to First things first we had to wait several hours to be able to check in our room because a manager was currently cleaning it When we walked in we noticed the floor was filthy

There was literally crusty pickles on the floor A manager supposedly cleaned the room yet the floor wasn’t swept or mopped We also noticed there was a plastic bag covering the fire alarm There was also visible mold growing on the mattress cover There was no working ventilation in the bathroom so there was mold growing on the ceiling We complained that the floor hadn’t been cleaned and they still didn’t come clean it the next day because they only clean rooms every 5 days We ran out of towels the first day and the management told us to come up front in an hour to get some but they still didn’t have any The lady had to grab us towels from the pool To top it off our key was deactivated early so we had to deal with that as well The only good part of this hotel is that the staff was nice Please do not stay here this place is disgusting

Moriah Reinbold

Dirty, rundown, and does not feel safe We booked this hotel through a booking sight and all the pictures made it look decent but nothing fancy When we arrived the lady working at the front desk was nice and gave us our room keys only for us to have to return to the front desk and ask for a new room

The room was dirty with visible dirt and dust everywhere, broken toilet paper holder, ice bucket, and window curtains There was water damage on the wall by the door and there were hand and finger prints all over the walls and door There was lots of visible mold in the bathroom and all the metal fixtures were rustingWe asked for another room and the second was as bad as the first with an addition of smelling terrible We went back to the office and asked for our money back and went elsewhere I didn’t feel comfortable staying here with our young son Very disappointed

Kammy Peck

Absolutely disgusting! The pictures made this place seem decent for the price That is not at all what we got The room was dirty, the place is run down and definitely did not feel safe with my family

We asked for new towels and they were never brought to us Kept calling and asking for new towels daily and still never received themi don’t think they believe in noise control either as we were woken up nightly from people yelling at each other or blaring music coming from the pool For this being a Wyndham hotel it was very disappointing and did not live up to the name Will not be coming back

What an amazing place! We stayed in a beautiful camper tucked away in the woods behind the Annex building It had a private drive, all the amenities we could ask for, and the sounds of natureI sat on the deck and played my guitar under the awning while my wife watched tv inside

It was hard to believe how sound proof the camper was We could literally live there! If you like nature and quick access to the beach this is your heaven We will be back as often as we can!

Andrea Penn

The owner took the time to welcome us before we arrived by phone I had booked a 2 person room and he offered a better room (think suite with husband) than I had booked because it was available I let him know we were traveling on short notice because my daughter’s grandmother passed away and she (my daughter) was my co-traveler

He showed me a raw kindness, a thoughtfulness, that was unexpectedHe offered us a suite that allowed private access so we could come and go as needed Ultimately, we didn’t spend much time at the B&B I can assure you that the time we did spend was calm, clean, private, and reassuring My daughter, that had never been to a B&B and was thus unsure, was impressed herself She doesn’t want to stay in another hotel She wants to stay in a “home away from home” againThe White House is not a hotel and I’m thankful for that If you’ve read this far, you will be too

Dona Raynor

Robbie was a great host and easy to communicate with My suite was perfect, a large bedroom, bath and private living room with flat screen tv Comfy bed and great furnishings

Beautiful shared kitchen if you wanted to cook! Loved the outdoor space, large porch and landscaped yard Even had a chicken coop! Close to the quaint town of Swansboro and EI beaches Can’t wait to stay again

Watch your banking information I had a family emergency and was coming out of town for 2 nights I selected pay at property because that was one of the options available

Due to my circumstances that option was the best I called first thing the morning of to advise i will have a late check-in at 6pm i was told this would not be a problem While on my way to the location a front desk staff called to advise they could not pull my payment I questioned why would you be pulling the payment when I selected pay at the property Then I hear please hold here is my manager She repeats the same feedback and advises its policy I questioned where is it documented for consumers to see & why is the location listing pay at property if this is not it The MANAGER then states its not listed on the website its what they do Needless to say I canceled this and stayed at the Courtyard Marriott on Henderson Drive which was awesome Do not trust this location

Horrible staff and customer service Steer Clear of this hotel the quality inn Down the street is not only cheaper but much more accommodating

The management there should be fired and retrained on how to treat people in general Lil red head I hope you found comfort in ruining my day and time with my children I hope anyone who books through a third party site doesn’t have a issue with whatever you get because this hotel doesn’t care if you have small kids or not they’d rather put you out and make you fight for a refund than Offer any accommodations I called corporate too and it’s sad that there is more people like you in this world than people who care The hotel is mediocre and the staff is so rude The manager straight up hung on in my face told me she’s gonna match my energy Hunny find a job in a anything but hospitality cause you have none ! There’s two girl managers I think her name is Nicole and the other Jackie both can read this and laugh like you did in my face but now everyone on google can read about your treatment toward me Guess for you little red musta tasted horrible to watch me get the refund you swore I wouldn’t get I hope one day this happens to you and you struggle to get another stay somewhere else like me All for a a bed or a crib accommodation Start cleaning up the rooms and your attitudes Here’s to the proud managers of the sleep inn at Jacksonville nc You guys are one hell of a person in this business I hope the other hotels get chosen over yours cause no one deserves the treatment I received

Staff members are everywhere and everyone is very friendly Every morning we had complimentary breakfast in the Cafe area with the same staff member greeting us Our stay was awesome and would recommend to all our friends Just want to say Thank you to every staff member!

I give this place *** because it is “good” but not “great” Carpet had a damp smell It is surprising that any hotel has carpet anymore

Location was good Overall, nothing great to deserve a 4 or 5 star It was for $96 as well, which was higher than what I expected to pay for the zip code As the saying goes, nothing to write home about

Pelumi Olaleye

First time staying here I was at New River VOQ before moving over to this location I like this hotel only for the quality of items in the rooms

It is way nicer and much more comfortable than those at VOQ on new river The area here has more traffic Also the location only allows you to make a right turn out of the parking lot Thus, it’s super annoying for me to have to do a u-turn out of the parking lot everyday in order to get to where I need go But for the quality of sleep I get here it’s won’t the annoyances

I can’t say enough about this hotel The location was the best Everything needed was close – restaurants, shopping, activities

The next best thing was the breakfast There were many options and Regina provided exceptional customer service The food was very tasty Then there was our room: clean, nicely decorated, fully stocked, everything was in working order Last but certainly not least – those at the front desk were professional, polite and friendly We will stay here every time we come to Jacksonville And we visit this area a lot

Mariell Roulette

The hotel was located surrounded by many restaurants and stores very convenient We were out to celebrate my husbands cousins 20th year retirement from the Marine Corps Also the breakfast very good choices especially the waffles 🧇 I especially want to shout Mrs

Virginia best kitchen customer service Always asking is everything ok ? Do you need something ? You don’t even find that at a IHOP I would come back if I am on the area again

The Motha Effin Pooch

Met 2 people in the elevator, one woman in a Patriots Jersey and the other guy must’ve been her husband I asked if they were Tom Brady fans and they said “no he doesn’t play for us anymore We don’t root for him”… as a Brady/Patriots fan I was offended and they were sort of rude about it

They were on the 3rd floor Rude customers and fake football fans!

Clean suite with comfy beds The staff was very friendly We had friends stay in various hotels in the area everyone complained about their accommodations with the exception of us and our friends staying at the Marriott courtyard

It was a little higher then some of the other places but you get what you pay for We had an apartment size fridge well stocked with supplies for making the food we wanted Even supplied a good hair dryer The stocked body wash shampoo and conditioner were decent quality and smelled great We did not use the pool or gym but it was nice to look out and see the large fire pit with plenty of seating The breakfast provided was delicious and plentiful If ever we needed to visit this location again this place would be my choice

CarolAnn Panzini

I was super happy with this hotel Visited family in the area and I really can’t say enough about how great the people that worked there were It was very clean, room and bathroom, not in disrepair, well stocked

All units are efficiencies and were well supplied The AC worked great! We didn’t hear doors slamming all night, just a super pleasant experience It is pet friendly (we didn’t have one with us), and my room was very clean but did smell a little like wet dog, (a scented candle cured that) but I could tell all of the furniture had been vacuumed (you could see the vacuum lines in the sofa cushions) and the pet hair wasn’t too bad I’ve been in pet friendly where you go home with other people’s pet fur all over your clothes Chiquita at the front desk was fantastic, always happy, pleasant and a wealth of knowledge of the area The night before I had stayed at a Hilton Garden Inn in Savannah and it was horrible so I was truly appreciative of all the little things that made my 5 night stay here great! And it had the BEST FREE BREAKFAST of any hotel I’ve been in for the last 2 years!

Frank Raynor

One of the best experiences for a hotel in over 40 years of traveling the states Friendly staff, excellent breakfast and dinner Everthing was perfect

Nice rooms with kitchen if you ever need it My grandson really enjoyed the basketball court and all 3 of us enjoyed the pool Wonderful stay while visiting friends We’ll definitely be back!!

We stayed here for three nights while on a trip to the beach Hotel is starting to look a bit dated but it is clean I thought the room was a bit small but it was just enough for four people

My kids really enjoyed the pool The breakfast was fair, or maybe good I do wish they had boiled eggs Workers were extremely helpful and courteous Location is great Close to all the businesses Gym is small but enough

Melissa Southward

The family and I were there from Aug 5-7th and thoroughly enjoyed our stay One morning, in particular, was exceptional

Oatmeal was available for breakfast but if you’re like me, I like to add a little brown sugar to it Unfortunately, there was none when there was some the morning before I was looking around for the dish and told the hubs I didn’t see any Miss Bonnie overheard me and said she’d go to the kitchen for some I didn’t want to interrupt her busy morning of restocking and running back and forth with the food (I noticed she’s on it when it comes to that, not once did I see anything run out the whole weekend we were there) but Miss Bonnie wouldn’t hear of it! She motioned for me to follow her and allowed me to get some brown sugar for my oatmeal Miss Bonnie could have chosen to ignore me but she went above and beyond to make sure her guests were getting what they’d like I sure wish there were more Bonnie’s out in the world because she is very much attuned to what her guests need Thank you so much Miss Bonnie! The hotel also has a heated pool and are pet friendly The dog path is so nice and there are doggie bags available for those who might have forgotten theirs We will be staying here for future business trips!

Second time I have stayed here and I regretted it The hotel staff lied to me multiple times about the cost of the room Upon arrival, despite booking and paying a month prior, our room was not available

They claimed it was due to a “error” While we were there different appliances broke as well The managers do not make it a point to contact customers unless it is last minute and they conveniently aren’t on site Would never waste another dollar to pay for somewhere that can’t offer receipts or claims nothing is on file when presented with backlash from lying

From the moment I walked into the office the staff was super friendly and told me that my room was upgraded (thankfully) You definitely don’t feel like you’re in a hotel, it’s got an apartment atmosphere and is conveniently located to shopping and restaurants and about 45 minutes from the beach Will definitely book this room again in the future

The room was good 👍 everything was good until I went to the office and told them if they could clean the room the manager Mike td me he couldn’t but would be able to give me clean sheets but I would have to change them myself wow I told him nevermind outrageous I can’t believe someone would say that to a customer that’s paying to stay at there hotel I will never stay there again but besides that room was 👍

Convenient location is about the best I can say Check in was fairly easy The room has roaches

Myself and a couple friends heard running in the room above us from 7am one morning to 4 am the next morning non stop for two days, guests in room upstairs says they weren’t there all day and they don’t have kids, so that was creepyVery limited parking Manager complained of spitting on the sidewalk Room smells like feet Remote didn’t turn on tv in bedroom, it only worked cable box I’d never stay here again but for the price I can understand why some would Take the good with the bad
