I have a special needs son, and the staff are so kind and welcoming They always go out of their way to be friendly and attentive The location by the parks and gardens on the river, with walking trails and historic buildings surrounding it, is stunning

A quiet private road nuzzled into the center of this gorgeous town, is amazing It’s for families and business people and travelers and nature lovers So many dining options, even different cool bars You can see concerts and events and walk peacefully back to your quiet Hotel Paddle boats and fishing It’s gorgeous

The Accountant’s Office

Room reserved for a couple of 75 year old ladies who are friends but can’t sleep in the same open room together The fact that they had a handicap shower, nice kitchenette, and 2 separate bedrooms with closing doors was exactly what we had searched the area for 4 hours to find Extremely reasonable rates for the stay

We told the front desk that they are probably the best kept secret in La Crosse and will definitely use them again when we have out of town family arriving for gatherings

Jason Bott

Great location, continental breakfast was typical Room was cleanBut, the air-conditioning in the room did not work (was offered fans in place of AC), the shower drain was clogged and the drain plug didn’t stay open, there were no pool towels, and only one small bar of soap to be used for your hands and in the shower

Too much money to spend on a place that doesn’t seem to care about the details

Nice hotel with nice people managing it I loved the bed and the room in general My only complaint would be that while there is plenty of room in the bathroom, the toilet was “small” and the shower “narrow”

A room so nice could really have a nicer bathroom Having said that, the shower head nice, water pressure powerful and plenty of hot water

Watch me Now

The place is easy to get to and just out of the city Very clean and quiet There are not many places that you can go to and be greeted by the owner

Very respectful also very prompt about fixing and problems that may come up Even if it’s not concerning the hotel Very friendly courteous and helpful I would recommend to anyone that ask me about staying there Great job Paul

Eddis Goodale

Rooms are relatively standard, though ours for this stay was larger with a more unique layout The property seems well maintained, and the maid service is performed daily – a plusThe breakfast offerings are just above minimal

They would be better if some type of hot eggs and bacon(?) could be added Covid hangover? When visiting relatives in Holmen, this seems to be the preferred property for us

Erin Wallschlaeger

This place was great! It’s very clean and modern The hot breakfast offered waffles, eggs, bacon, biscuits and gravy one day, then eggs, sausage, hash browns the next There was also cereal, breads, fruit, yogurt, coffee, tea, juice and soda

The staff was friendly and available With three boys the great food and the 24/7 complimentary beverages were a really nice treat!

Carla Kron

I had some appointments one morning We live fairly far away So we decided to stay here

I have mobility issues currently They have a shuttle that is underground, and it will take you to anywhere in the facility Just ask and you have it The rooms were clean, comfortable and laid out well I did not expect that we would have such a nice room for the price, and that was great! The breakfast tasted good, the area was kept clean, and every employee was really friendly We will be back!

Rena Diem

We haven’t made it there yet

but the customer service up front has been stellar! Bringing a group to town for an event soon Heather has been pleasant, helpful and accommodating the whole way Worked a little with Rachel also, who was also helpful and pleasant Looking forward to the event and have no worries about the accommodations planned! (Which is a blessing in itself!)

Diamond member on tour for 6 months and this was my least favorite hotel the hotel smell was bad and the room was even worse the main reason for my stay was to take advantage of their free laundry

too bad it took several cycles to dry my clothes and now my “clean” clothes smell like that dirty hotel only reason they didn’t get a 1-star is because they refunded part of my stay

Meg Radix

First, the staff was personable, intelligent and well spoken The king suite was spacious, clean and attractive The hotel Interiors were well appointed and visually appealing

I’m an interior designer so I notice that kind of thing! The complimentary breakfast was much better than average And last, it’s location is convenient for downtown restaurants, bars and shops We’ll be back for sure

Mellissa Hansen

Staff are excellent! I’m so happy I stayed here Traveled by myself for a business conference and as soon as I arrived in town construction started the next day Hotel has free transportation that could get me to the university for my conference even to the right door!! I was so worried about finding the right location and then construction and I didn’t want to be late

The staff certainly saved me! I was at my conference daily and on time! By the end of my trip I knew them all by name and I felt right at home! Vince gave excellent food recommendations! Nick, Liz, and the gentleman going to AZ, thank you all for being so wonderful to me! I will definitely come back here! Clean hotel Excellent breakfast options Housekeeping was excellent too!!

Elizabeth Knox

Hampton Inn is one of my favorite places to stay The hotel is always clean, has a friendly staff and the most excellent breakfast almost as good as a B&B My only concern is for mostly all hotels and that is the beds are rarely as comfortable as mine at home

As the saying goes, there is no place like home, but at least at Hampton Inn, I know I will have a good meal, fresh fruit and coffee and a clean environment with kind people who care about my stay PS please put memory foam toppers on your beds, then I will always pick the Hilton

Judy Wang

We had an excellent experience at Radisson We stayed overnight and the customer service is amazing We originally thought that we could have a roll in bed but the space was too limited so the service desk changed our room from a king size bed to two queen size beds at no extra charge

The breakfast is also delicious Definitely recommend! The location is also extremely nice and has a very special vibe

Katelyn Schramke

Friendly staff It is great that they allow dogs and seem to like dogs as well Comfortable, clean rooms

Nice location, easy access to the park along the river and walking distance to stores and restaurantsCould be improved: The in room fridge didn’t cool very well and the coffee station in the lobby could be improved (especially the hot water for tea, it wasn’t very hot)

Brook J

The beds were sooooo uncomfortable My back aches for days Hot tub was closed which was unfortunate since I needed a soak after a bad night’s rest

Fridge is for drinks only, and it says so right on it, which was so weird Nowhere to keep leftovers so we ended up wasting a lot of foodOtherwise great location close to everything downtown Walking trails and bike rentals right outside And a beach right across the river Wonderful river views if you choose the river view double rooms (No king beds overlooking the river You only get city views with a king bed or so I was told by staff) 🤷🏼‍♀️ Checkout is at noon which is nice if you need extra timeLa Crosse is a beautiful city with lots of good restaurants and shops in their downtown

The room was nice & the pullout couch was comfy for our 11 year old Only recommendation would be to have sheets & blankets for it in the room or readily available Luckily we were staying up late but if we were wanting to go to bed early it would have been an issue as they weren’t ready from the dryer until close to 11pm

The room was quiet and clean Breakfast was good Pool and hot tub were nice We would definitely stay here if staying in Onalaska again!

Daniel and Veronica Hill

This is one of the best hotels I have visited Clean and new My kids loved the pool

Large, well designed rooms Room darkening shades on the windows that actually block out the light And a super impressive breakfast We have some food allergies and there was something for all of us – gluten free muffins, almond milk for cereal We frequently travel to this area for family functions and this is going to be our go to hotel in the area

Danielle McCormick

Beautiful, clean, quiet, spacious, comfortable We really enjoyed our stay and we’re tempted to stay another night Staff were very friendly, check in was easy

We had two Queen beds and a pull out couch and it’s rare to have so much space for a family! Pool area was really nice – the hot tub was lovely too although a bit hotter would be nice Breakfast was good, although options seemed a bit limited Also why do hotel breakfasts never include hashbrowns? 🤣 We will definitely be back!

An absolutely breathtaking bed and breakfast The hosts were amazing They were so much fun, gave us the inside scoop on where to go and what to see

We had an early morning fishing charter and there was hot coffee and snacks ready to go by the time we left at 530am! My wife, Rita, and I absolutely loved the experience! We will definitely be back Oh, and my wife has not stopped talking about the wonderful beds Apparently I need to find out the make of the mattress and everything else that was on your beds – SO comfy!

Anthony Hoffman

We booked the ballroom suite a month ago and recieved our confirmation email 2 days ago only to be notified the morning we got to town that they somehow managed to overbook the room and all they had was an auxillary room with a restroom across the hall They offered to comp that room but it was not what we were looking forThe mistake was blamed on their computer system but in the email to us they mentioned that it was possible to go into the system manually

It would seem to me that the professional thing to do would be to check for overbookings before the confirmation emails go out a few days in advanceNow we are just going to go home We are very disappointed as we had really been looking forward to our stayCall and ask them for certain confirmation if you are planning on staying here

What an amazing place! Newly remodeled rooms with custom designs and different room themes Pay close attention when booking rooms online to the different room themes and decorations So clean and cozy

Excellent shower and a bed I did not want to get out of Felt like home Amazing staff and awesome customer service Added bonus…a great little small town with something to do for everyone Highly recommend!!!

Barb Boyd

If you want a very clean and well appointed room, this is the place for you There are no cookie cutter rooms here like the major hotels have Rooms are newly remodeled with balconies facing the Mississippi River

We were fortunate to be there when the neighboring establishment was sponsoring a band Sitting on our balcony on a beautiful summer evening listening to music was delightful The owners are friendly and take pride in their Inn

Katarina Frank

My family and I really enjoyed our stay at the Inn on the River We stayed in room 23 The room was recently renovated with an Italian theme

The beds were very comfortable, and the shower was wonderful We enjoyed sitting on the balcony in the evening watching the boats and trains The inn is located within sight of Lock and Dam #6 Unfortunately, we did not get to see a boat use the Lock and Dam while we were there We noticed the owners were kind enough to put ear plugs in the nightstand in case you needed them for the trains, but we thought the air conditioner was loud enough to block out the train noise Although no breakfast is included with the stay, there is a great breakfast restaurant not too far away from the inn We wished we had booked more than one night and would love to come back to stay again

First time staying at a Home2 Suites and must say, I was very impressed with how friendly and helpful the staff (team) was One of the reasons I choose Hilton brands is because of the comfortable beds and this hotel was no exception Great night sleeps, great breakfast selection and friendly, professional staff members

Great job everyone

Pravin Lewis

Rooms are newer and up to date It seemed busy so it felt crammed in the common areas like the lobby It is great for long stays, not so appropriate for shorter business trips

I used the app so had no interaction with staff while checking Hence had no idea of the parking pass or other facilities until my last day The breakfast was not great

THANK YOU to the Charmant Hotel and Family for making our recent stay a wonderful experience My wife and I were there to celebrate our anniversary Everything was so elegant and the staff was exceptional

Cameron, the front desk gentleman was so helpful and friendly Iris, our server, was so sweet and the food was superb Finally, Ben worked with our son on anniversary gifts and surprises Truly an amazing staff We can’t wait to come back Thanks again!

Sarah Partridge

Outstanding stay here at The Charmant! Got to googling boutique hotels that are a reasonable weekend commute for my husband’s birthday and sure am happy to have come across this fantastic property The staff was extremely accommodating and kind, especially front desk manager I believe is her role – very kind on the phone and thorough explanation of parking options Place used to be a chocolate factory which is so very cool- the exterior of the building itself stands out, and when you step inside- WOW beautiful

Dog friendly, too! Our French bulldog has the time of his life on our private balcony that was with our Chateaux King room Views amazing, as a bath lover- claw floor tub… cmon, loved that Rooftop bar in majorly close proximity as well as restaurant, free coffee tokens for the Parlour, and just an overall highly recommendable experience Would stay again easily so Love this place!

Cairie Virrueta

I’d like to give 45 stars but couldn’t do 5 so 4 it is Very charming and loved our room

A mother/daughter trip and we brought her golden retriever The room had a nice dog bed, bowls and treats Across the street was a park, which was nice because there isn’t any grass by the hotel There isn’t parking- unless you pay extra for it The roof top lounge wasn’t open Monday-Wednesday, when we were there but we probably wouldn’t have gone anyway since dogs weren’t allowed We went to a local place that did allow dogs We had room service, food was fabulous, but no table to eat at If we stayed again, we wouldn’t bring dog Staff was nice, but aloof Still a nice place overall

What a wonderful experience!Billy and Brandon keep a beautiful home; though large and eloquent, it’s also very warm and inviting We mostly holed up in our room or ventured downtown, but we did explore the first floor sitting rooms (and were lucky enough to get some time with one of the pups) and enjoyed some tea and a puzzle in the card room We also poked our noses into the other rooms (we were the only guests at the time) and all of them are lovely

Plush carpets, hardwood, fluffy beds, bathrobes, a real first-class experience! The breakfasts were also exceptional I’ve included a picture of the opening course of our first day’s meal; this was followed by an egg-scramble-filled acorn squash with a side salad, and an incredible cinnamon scone We don’t normally eat such a large breakfast, but it was too good to let a single bite go to wasteWe’re hoping to make this a traditional get-away spot for ourselves, as we had such a lovely time I would definitely recommend this spot to others

Stephanie Bailey

Absolutely the best place to stay in the area Everything was top-notch: the service, room and breakfast I have never stayed in a bed and breakfast before, but it was a really amazing experience

The host was very friendly and accommodating They offer a lot of special touches like leaving little treats in your room every day and daily cleaning in addition to optional extras like breakfast delivery to your room I’ve stayed in a lot of 5-star hotels and Castle La Crosse was way better than literally ANYWHERE I have ever stayed before If we are ever in the area again, we will definitely be back here It was an unforgettable and magical experience that is perfect for a romantic getaway for couples

sketch erz

Billy and Brandon’s beautiful castle in the heart of La Crosse is a gem They are both extremely amiable and accommodating Once you enter the castle, you enter into another world, in its ensemble it’s impossible to feel anywhere but at home

My girlfriend and I spent her birthday weekend here and there is no doubt that this is the place to bring your significant other if you want them to feel like a prince/princess As if the location and hosts aren’t enough to convince, Brandon cooks a delicious breakfast presentation, delicacy, savory and sweet, light but filling All the products are local and the result is other worldly Finally, ask about the wine of the house It’s perfect if you decide to spend the night inThank you for everything

We stay here EVERY DANG TIME

and have never been disappointed Every time, some happy tiny detail is added This time, they’d updated the lobby furniture and had added USB plugs in the breakfast area We also needed to try out their complimentary toiletries policy and sure enough, they had some on hand and were super nice about it This was the first time we used the laundry room too, and they had that area stocked too Clean and friendly, easy to get to but a little off the main drag

Andrea Schilling

We stayed at this hotel for a hockey tournament Couple other hockey teams were at the hotel as well Rooms were clean

Staff was super nice and treated us very well They allowed us to use their breakfast area for a team dinner (another team was using the other half also) If you are looking for a hotel that won’t treat you terrible just because you are part of a hockey team I highly recommend
