For a $20 a night incidental charge, I feel like they should be paying us the money to stay at such an awful place It’s basically a motel6 with the continental breakfast! Where to start, their windows don’t open at all therefore the whole second-floor smelled like smoke and mildew The only ventilation was an air conditioner that made noise as if a semi truck was parked outside my window

The fridge was very wet and unclean inside! I had to find a pillowcase that wasn’t stained to sleep on The curtain in the shower has no stoppers so it slides to the middle and allows water to leak out! The gym was dirty even from the night before, there’s no thermostat in there so it’s like running in a stuffy room The breakfast sucked, and the coffee they use are manual like you’re camping! And let me say, for the snoutiness and arrogance some of the staff has portrayed at this hotel is way beyond me! If you really do things by the book at this hotel then you would look into these small details, obviously they have escaped hotel management and I would really like them to spend the night in their hotel rooms so they know what guest are dealing with!

Upon entering the lobby and approaching the front desk, I was not greeted but rather stared at by an agent named Michaela as she continued to use the paper cutter I waited for approximately 5 minutes while she glanced at me periodically before my presence was acknowledged Even then, it took for me to initiate contact to let her know I was checking in

Upon checking me in, she asked for my name but didn’t confirm with a photo ID and did not acknowledge my status While checking for rooms, in a very rude manner tells me that no rooms are ready and that they might ready around 1PM She didn’t offer luggage assistance and didn’t confirm my contact details I did provide feedback to the agent stating that I felt she was very passive and had no desire to interact with me She failed to anticipate my needs as a guest, and ruined my check in experience with her poor attitudeWith the traveling experience I have with Marriott, it was disheartening to receive to a below-standard experience What makes it more disappointing is that upon leaving the lobby, I observed that her behavior towards the guests after me were not the same Even when giving her feedback, her response lacked empathy I made an attempt to reach out to a manager to share my stay experience, but did not receive a follow up I will never stay at this property again

Roaches crawling on the nightstand Incompetent staff Old, smelly

Homeless person out front and in the lobby harassing guests DO NOT Stay here Stay away at any costs, many other hotel options in the area that are at minimum clean Asked to speak with a manager on multiple occasions When the manager Jex finally called me back he stated that he was “tired of customers calling to complain” He also stated that he would not be willing to do anything given we had to change rooms at midnight with small children Extremely rude and unprofessional I will never stay at this hotel brand or specific site again I will be contacting corporate given the experience

Our family have a great experience at this hotel I am a new Hilton Honors member an the staff made our stay very enjoyable from check in to check out Our room was very clean, beds were comfortable with extra bedding provided

Furniture wasn’t outdated and the room had great size We also enjoyed the hot complimentary breakfast, which on this day consist of waffles, eggs, potatoes and turkey sausage It also included your normal cereal, Danish, toast, juice and coffee Check out was a breeze so overall great stay

Gunner Jackson

The property is in a great location Just minutes drive from Knotts Disney is more of a 20 -30 minute drive depending on highway traffic

ADVICE: Avoid rooms near the elevator on every floor We even had a room separate us from the elevator on the second floor & still heard the elevator hydraulics at all hours of the night We heard the guy in the next room snoring Other than that, our stay was great Nice pool & hot tub Parking & property felt safe The free breakfast is great Hot breakfast options; eggs, sausage, waffles👍🏻👍🏻 Our first stay was even better We had a room on the first floor High ceilings, big room, extremely quiet

Jennifer Rivera

Great location right off the freeway Our room was very clean and smelled clean when we walked in Our room was very big and spacious

They have free breakfast daily from 6-10 which includes a variety of things like, juices, coffee, hot chocolate, oatmeal, eggs, bacon or sausage, baked muffins, breads for toast, bagels, cold cereal, yogurt, some fruit, and station for waffles and all of the fixings We had a great experience and staff was friendly

Don’t stay there unless you want your Catalytic converter stolen We parked in their well lit structure late at night and the next morning it was gone They have absolutely no cameras on their property for your safety besides the lobby

When i told the front desk she didn’t seemed surprised or apologetic as if this is a regular occurrence I understand not wanting to be held responsible but they should at least have cameras for safety or in the event of a crime NEVER staying there again!

Came a week ago Feb 2022 and we got 3 rooms and everything was nice 👍🏽The receptionist was friendly and assisted us right away! I love that the parking is free and everything was close I have always loved the beds here at the Hilton ❤️ my room was clean and well organized I took a nice bath 🛀 and everything was perfect 👍🏽!I slept peacefully until the woman next door was crying and having an argument with her husband 🤦🏽‍♀️ other than that everything was nice and pleasant !Definitely recommend this hotel 🏨You will get a good nights rest for sure !Also they had a coffee / tea maker and I made myself a cup before checking out ❤️✅

In general we had nice short stay Yet the fire alarm in our room was out of battery and the hotel is fully occupied that there’s no room to change to, so we had to fall into sleep hearing the alarm beeping all night! Other than that, it’s a nice hotel with good price and they offer free continental breakfast! Prepare some $1 tips to the lady who’ll make your egg sausage and toast breakfast! Nice looking small pool and jacuzzi yet i had to work a bit so didn’t get to enjoy!

Leonard Ross Jr.

The hotel room was clean The restroom was spotless 💯 Stayed there two nights, wasn’t feeling well and they just made me feel right at home The hotel staff was amazing

Best experience ever I’ve literally never been somewhere more elegant, tranquil and rewarding in my life The host are always respectful, kind and always have a 😁 The manager is a little high tempo but I can respect that you can tell they run a tight ship and that’s cool

The beds are firm but boy oh boy they are sure comfy, large TV, large bathroom We didn’t have a chance to use the pool but from my understanding is that it is open for use There’s breakfast 🥞 🍳 when we wake up and even more 😁 from the cooks and kitchen staff Love 💕 it 💯% I’ll definitely be booking a few more weeks before we head on back up Thanks to everyone here working we honestly appreciate what you do, thank you!

Staff was super nice and helpfulRooms were very niceOnly a couple suggestions, invest in something for the smoke oder, probably from the past

It’s still pretty strongOur room had an iron burn on a chair and a pretty big red stain on the carpet and our pretty bedspread had a cigarette burn on itThe pool was so clean and refreshingSheets were very niceCarpets in the hallways need to be replaced

Overall good value for the price although facility needs some work/upgrade Some issues with housekeeping over a two week stay but generally good service Breakfast wasn’t too appealing but looked similar to other hotels that offer free breakfast

I chose to visit local coffee shops instead so would prefer a lower rate without breakfast Still, all said, a good value compared to other hotel/motels in the area especially if you plan most of time out and aboutI do find it odd that I received a no-reply email from someone in Guest Relations thanking me for my positive feedback (I think based on feedback directly requested by them which mirrored Google review) but no mention of my negative comments Seems like a stock answer and they don’t actually read feedback If you don’t read feedback, you can’t make improvements

I came to LA for a 2 week holiday with my girlfriend We shopped around for a hotel to stay This place caught my eye with only a few bad reviews

And wow it lives up to expectations The room we got looked like it could be at a luxury hotel, the check-in was timely and very welcoming The only thing that tripped them up was the pin number but very minor issueThe manager ws always around and whenever we rung to ask them something they answered promptly and professionallyAs a kiwi I was unaware I had to request room service but the manager called and explained how it works They also work into whatever time of the day suits10/10 would stay here again and also recommend it to others

8-day stay during July 4th, 2022 long weekend & high season for summer travel: I would definitely stay here again; this is probably my 7th time over the last few years staying hereI did not plan to stay at any hotel I planned to stay at a friend‘s home but there was a terrible plumbing issue that affected the electricity issue and even my friend had to find somewhere else to stay

So at the last minute I was looking for a place to stay for eight consecutive days I had some Airbnb options; however, since I had favorable experiences with Friendly Hills Inn in the past I thought maybe I would get lucky to find eight consecutive days where I could get to stay in the same room without having to move aroundThe front desk staff was very helpful in assisting me to get what I wanted and they honored the military rate which I really appreciated I do feel safe at this hotel, Friendly Hills Inn in Whittier, CA It’s easy to get into and out of and the rooms themselves are very comfortableI like the different lighting options even though I do bring my own nightlight for the bathroom sink area The air conditioner works very nicely and in a quiet manner There’s a microwave, a medium-sized mini fridge as well as a small coffee maker The hotel room is modern contemporary and there’s a variety of softer and harder pillows so depending on if you want to sit up in bed against the bed frame or lay down you have options I like that the light switch to turn off the main lights and the lamp is right next to the bedAmenities about nearby including restaurants shopping etc there are delicious made-from-scratch soups at the “California Grill Restaurant”, and I did enjoy Huevos a la Mexicana at “Mr Giants”Discovered a great store called Upscale Collectibles on Greenleaf; a wonderful collection of gently used furniture, jewelry, books, clothing, shoes, dish ware, linens and more Great people work thereSo I will definitely stay here again at Friendly Hills Inn in Whittier, CA Again I had the option to stay at an Airbnb which I had booked just in case this hotel wasn’t available for eight consecutive days but having both options available, Friendly Hills Inn and the Airbnb, I decided to choose Friendly Hills Inn and that’s a win-win for both myself as well as the good people who run it The owners are quite nice and professional I will definitely stay here again Thank you Friendly Hills Inn! Susie 🙂👍🏻

Britainy Leigh

The pics they have posted on Priceline look way better than the rooms actually are, which was disappointing But they price is affordable, and they don’t require any deposit if you pay with credit card The water pressure sucks, and then I was woken up by the workers pounding next door!! Which really sucked

They should have told us that there would be loud noise early morning!? And I wouldn’t have stayed

Lets start Our room safe was non functional upon arrival, which was fixed by the maintenance guy later Our ironing board is was broken, which the staff replaced with a full sized one

The fire alarm ran out of batteries and started beeping around 2 am, when the maintenance guy had to come in our room and replace them In addition, there was a cockroach the crawled right into our room Would not recommend

Stayed for four nights on a short family vacation Pros: recently remodeled rooms, friendly staff, decent breakfast Cons: not enough staff to keep the hotel clean; there was a horrible vomit smell near the elevator for almost three days of our stay, pool water was cloudy and full of debris throughout our stay, a used bandaid was stuck on a table by the pool the entire time we were there, and due to hotel allowing guests of the shady Howard Johnson next door to use the hotel’s pool all of the pool towels disappeared

I think the employees are trying but the hotel’s management could do better to pay employees a livable wage as to not have a staff shortage and properly clean and maintain the property to the brand’s standard

Chris Tock (TickTockZoom)

Stayed here for a week and a half, room was very very nice abd recently remodeled, the ac unit was a bit loud The breakfast was always great especially the cinnamon rolls The staff was always friendly and answered any questions

My only cons were the relatively limited parking and that the building has only 1 elevator, so it gets a little cozy during busy times

Kathy C. Parker

Gentleman at the counter was pleasant and professional and got us registered quickly, which is nice after a 6 hour drive Lobby alway smelled fresh, unless it was breakfast time, then it smelled like bacon and eggs The complimentary breakfast has a lot of choices: pancakes, scrambled eggs or omelets, bacon, sausage, oatmeal, cereal, cinnamon rolls, orange juice, coffee, yogurt, fresh fruit, bagels and more

No screens on windows, so we could not open the windows to let cool air inNo fan in bathroom, which is a must Wifi was super slow or did not workWhen I booked room, I asked to be away from elevator, we were 2 doors from it We had to call room service for an issue and they responded very quickly Yes, I would stay here again

Very clean, peaceful area, workers are very kind and helpful The rooms are comfortable, bed is really good, the view we had was amazing, my toddler made it her home away from home Pool was clean and decent size but the water was freezing, so we got in the hot tub which was like warm and perfect for the sunny weather

I would definitely come back Thank you!

Been to this hotel on several occasions for work It’s consistently comfortable Sheets and beds are always clean

Amenities are abundant and the staff is incredibly friendly You need only ask once for what you’re short on, and they’ll have it to your door in a matter of minutes I’ll be coming back here frequently as long as my work allows

Shaun Wolf

When I got to the resort with my family most of the staff was rude but others were doing their job and making us feel at home like Luis g He made sure we got to our rooms safely while helping us carry our bags there as well as fixing the water problems we had in our room too He made sure we had clean and dry towels when we went to the pool and he even keeps the pool crystal clean when most resorts are half way clean, and that’s what makes our stay enjoyable

We need more people like luis g who is hard working and determined to make everyone else’s day a better day

Loved this hotel because it offers a free shuttle service to and from Disneyland They drive to the park at the top of the hour, and usually arrive within 15minutes, so pick up will be at the 15minute mark Super convenient, the pool was awesome

Our room had been recently updated because it’s switching over to be a Double Tree hotel soon But there was no microwave or iron/ironing board Called front desk and they delivered the iron/ironing board, but the microwave is down by the front desk Lots of shops and food across the street and in the same parking lot Would recommend this hotel for Disney trippers

patrick pacheco

Worst experience ever Checked in through their rewards program called IHG Had tried to check in early but card did not go through as it was flagged by my bank as possible fraud

I called my bank who confirmed the address was wrong on IHG end Contacted them, changed address to correct one They processed the transaction fine Checked in and an hour later I get a call from front desk Veronica stating her manager Alex said I had to leave because of fraudulent activities I told her I corrected that and that’s how I was able to reserve the room They wouldn’t take that and said if I didn’t leave they would call the police As if I’m some criminal Shame on the management at this location I get that there are people trying to commit fraud, but I’m not one of them I will never visit this location again The furniture is dated The restroom is nice but not cleaned correctly when there are splatter stains on the toilet seat and hair still in the restroom stall They aren’t the Hilton That is for sure Also room 466 remote is not functional Battery is dying Elevator looks like it’s falling apart I recommend taking the stairs that have trash and beer cans It’s a safer bet Would I recommend? Never it all starts with management You can tell on how well the staff takes care of the rooms and their customers They Dont So you’re reply is that I committed fraudulent charge backs The first time ever stepping foot in your hotel was the day you asked me to leave I already said I would never go back to your hotel so that isn’t any issue for me but again you do prove what poor management skills you do have Have a great day

Donna Jensen

We have family in the area, so we always stay here Only 2 things that I don’t like: 1, is that there are no microwaves in the rooms, so bringing back leftovers from various restaurants is pointless 2, their little convenience shop for drinks and snacks closes too early

I’ve never stayed at a hotel that provides so little to their guests The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable, and overall, we like staying here frequently

Check in was easy, staff was very accommodating, I have health issues which allow me a service dog, staff was very understanding and treated my dog with respect and care The bartender came and brought my dog some cold water to drink, which I thought was very sweet! Room was beautiful! Perfect! Best sleep I have had in weeks! Beds are heaven! Very clean rooms and great staff make for a 5 star review I found my new fave local hotel! Thank you Doubletree for treating us so kindly

Andrew Colley

Only two housekeepers for the whole hotel Check-in was 3-4 hours late so I had to find something to do for those hours for the whole family I got an email at 3p saying I could start my virtual check in so we were pretty surprised when we got to the hotel that there was a long line of people being told their rooms weren’t ready

Also called for blankets, pillows, and towels because the room was under stocked They never showed up, assuming due to low staffingRoom was otherwise clean and well kept

JND Sawtelle

The room was very expensive When I asked for extra coffee packets for the room the attendant said they had no more and I would need to order from the restaurant I said a hotel this large and no extra coffee? She said we have decaf

The guy behind her said let me go look in the back, 5 minutes later he came back with 2′ packets This is only an example of how rude and unhelpful the staff was For $250 a night you would think they would have more professional service

If I could give this hotel zero stars I would I do not recommend it I would never go back

The pictures they have up are very deceiving The walls in the room were dirty The floor boards looked like they have never been cleaned The furniture was scratched and not well kept The carpet was dirty and we could feel it through our socks We splurged on a hot tub in our room, however the tile around it was broken and the hot tub looked also like it had never been cleaned We used our own blankets, since we didn’t trust the bed linens We were tempted to sleep in our car rather then this motel, if it wasn’t full of luggage we would have The only way this motel could have been worse is if it had bedbugs DO NOT STAY HERE!

This place was fantastic for us! We were in CA aadopting a newborn The staff was extremely helpful, friendly and personable We had a few adjustments to our schedule while here, and Michael did an outstanding job accommodating our needs

There are groceries stores close by, laundromat across the street & some restaurants around the area This hotel is Spanish themed in terms of decor and they put us on the 3rd floor due to less noise as well We had a King Room Suite that had a desk for working, couch & TV with plenty of AC outlets for electronics I would highly recommend this place!

I am such a fan of this hotel! Friends and I stayed here in February after a disastrous Airbnb experience Rooms are so much bigger than at name brand hotels, plus you get a mini kitchen with a full size fridge and range The kitchen has all basic necessities including utensils

Not to mention, there is an actual couch in the roomI came back to Anaheim in July and decided to book at well known hotel After seeing the small, stale room I canceled the reservation and went on Hotel Pepper Tree’s website I was able to get a room for 3 nights at the last minute We literally checked in at 10 pmOnce again, this hotel saved our trip Rates are comparable, but the rooms and the service are so much betterThe hotel itself is well kept, but not full of amenities The pool is huge, but no hot tub No ice maker on the premises, elevator is small and stuffy However, these are all minor issues and everything else makes up for it

Beware this hotel is NOT pet friendly as they claim My wife and I chose this place mainly since it stated it was pet friendly and close to Disneyland We were first met with an undisclosed and outrageous PER PET FEE of $45 a night!!! We have two dogs so that was $90 per night!!! No where on their website is this price disclosed

I understand pet fees and I have paid them before but NEVER this high and per pet!!! On top of this they also require you to not leave your pet alone in the room for any length of time the whole point of a pet friendly hotel Are dogs were in there crates at all time so it was not like they would be left to roam the room The manager was not at all understanding and frankly could careless The manager threatened to take our $200 deposit and have as leave if we did not comply All of this completely ruined or vacation since we were with our family and my wife and I had to take turns staying in the room DO NOT STAY HERE IF YOU ARE BRINGING YOUR PETS

Slightly (21 miles) away from downtown LA scene, this hotel proved to be a gem We were in town for Super Bowl weekend and wanted to stay a slight ways out from the crowdsFor 1/2 the Marriott points other hotels wanted, we got the same service, if not better at this hotel

The hotel was clean, rooms clean and spacious We received a complimentary upgrade to a suite, with a balcony over the pool and mountainsSince the hotel sits in an almost residential area, if you got out early, traffic to/from LA was a breeze Now if your a late riser, then you can expect that 21 mile trip to take about an hour😂They have a pool, which did not use, as friends had a house 3 miles away with a heated pool, and one day was spend at Santa Monica BeachWe loved the suite because it had a separated bedroom from the rest of the room Suite came with refrigerator and microwave Bathroom sink are was tight, as only 1 person could be at the 1 sink bowl at a time We disinfected the room because as we hung our clothes, we noticed dust in the closets, which appears nobody been cleaning/dusting in theirBeware: You pay $10 per night for parking in an open lot There is no security out there or a gateRight outside the hotel, they have a hiking trail that goes up the mountainsWalmart is about a 5 minute drive so you can stick up on beverages and things versus paying hotel prices for these same itemsOverall, we would stay here again Plenty of shopping in the area and an easy commute to most attractions (again…if you get out early)

Nice view, perfect for a late night smoke and feel the vibes Not that I do it, I wish I could but my fiancé won’t let me Easy to navigate square building and a large work out room

Staff is friendly and rooms are clean Free mint chocolate, you know the Andes one? Green tiny bricks, that’s a mistake @Marriott, I will empty that whole fish bowl!

Updating my review, finally got in touch with the GM who finally did agree to give compensation So i raised my review alittle I wish it would have been easier but he said they are using my experience to train the staff, so maybe there wont be a next time with others

Aweful service from start to finish from reservation mistakes, to rooms not ready at check in, to coffee being made wrong, to dirty floors and tables (see pictures) and no one cares once they have your money they could care less I have talked to agm and GM!!! Well sorta the GM has yet to respond as obviously my issues do not appear to be a priorty stay anywhere else if you work hard for your money You have been warned

We needed to plan an impromptu stay, and the Double Tree delivered! Our car broke down on the freeway, and everyone at Double Tree was so kind and took such great care of us while we stayed overnight to wait for our tow truck Our kids loved the beautiful and conveniently located pool and spa, the room was cool, clean, and comfortable, and the service throughout our staff was kind and wonderful Thanks, Double Tree, for helping us turn it around and make it a great day

Nice clean rooms, good food However Management needs to work on looking over the property for maintenance The pool, fitness center and rooms could use some work

Pool water wasn’t as clean as it could be, had bugs and leaves Right away a group of two families huddle around the jacuzzi smoking while holding an infant and two children jumping and splashing The fitness center needs a treadmill and bench fixed And found out our room’s refrigerator door doesn’t close all the way, not keeping the cold in, also the mattress is worn out, sinking in Otherwise, great relaxing time!

A very pleasant experience provided by Jessica, who was quick to check my family in with a smile in the early hours of the morning after travelling for almost 24 hours straight She went well above what would normally be expected to ensure we had an enjoyable stay and a positive experience Jessica is an excellent asset to the team at DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Los Angeles – Norwalk

We found that this place was located very well for the sightseeing that we wanted to do in Los Angeles It was only 16 minutes from Angels stadium in Anaheim and it was only about 40 minutes from Santa Monica or Hollywood The rooms were well maintained and they offered free breakfast each morning

The staff was friendly and the grounds were well maintained Definitely recommend this place

I booked a 2 bedroom suit for my family, the hotel is not too old but it’s very used and VERY beaten up and also very filthy: dirty floors dead and live bugs, stain walls and dirty furniture, finger prints all over the appliances and tables, hair on bathroom floors and walls, the bed and pillows had stains… AND the outside of our room door was beyond gross… imagine a cheap motel on a dirty street… same image! I’ve stayed at old, new, non-luxurious hotels before but were always cleaned and up to date… this hotel was probably the worst I’ve stayed in You literally leave the place itching all over I’m not the only review that states how filthy it is

It’s cheap but for a good reason I decided to ignored the other 1 star reviews Lesson learned! Never again!

the room that I paid $263 was very small for the cost, there were spiders and bugs, and the AC fan was very noisy Also they gave me the first room close to the highway which it was hard to sleep with all those noises as well Breakfast area was very small and the food was scarce

Seriously there are way better options for half of the cost I’d recommend you to look around for other hotels
