Mo Jo (Mojo)

This hotel needs work If you like the smell of dirty feet from old carpet in room, paper thin walls, a worn old skinny mattress, and scratchy thin sheets this is the place for you I expect more from a hotel with the Hampton name on it

Also, this hotel is not cheapUpdate, so the housekeeping staff is responsible for quality of mattresses, and sheets? And replacing ridiculously old smelly carpet?

Janice Watson

The room was nice with the exception of no phone in the room, the room service is nonexistent and if you wish the room to be serviced you must call the front desk to request service This is due to the Covid issueThe breakfast bar has a good selection and there is fresh coffee and fruit available all day

There were basketball teams staying at the same time we were there and you had to get to the breakfast early The kids had healthy appetites but were very politeThe front desk is pleasant and very helpful in answering our questionsCheck out was very simple and easy

Donna Mergenhagen

While the physical property is convenient and well maintained, the “free breakfast” amenity is problematic The staff member administering the service either wore no mask or the mask below her nose Guests and other staff consistently followed guidelines, but the food handler did not

She was also observed doing housekeeping (mopping and sweeping) in the lobby area and returning to serve, heat and handle food without washing or sanitizing her hands Although the observations were reported to the desk, the unsanitary behavior continued She needs to be provided food service training or to be moved to other responsibilities

I recently stayed for the Buffalo Marathon weekend and was incredibly pleased with my stay The staff at the front desk were helpful and friendly and the room was perfect I was very appreciative of the table with water and fruit for the runners after the race

Thank you for that! This was a great place to stay and the friendly staff made it even better Not one complaint about my stay

Mary Mitchell

Room smelled like it was a smoking room not too long ago Shower fixtures were not installed correctly and hotel will have mold in the walls very soon if not already Elevators were not working several times during my stay and I had to walk up/down 9 stories

Many services are still not restored from COVID Bar area was nice and Starbucks was fast and efficient every morning Easy access to the convention center and you don’t have to go outside of the weather is not good

Robert D’Orso

When we got there, there was a 15 minute wait to get to our room, which was unprepared Once we got into the room there was a huge stain on the ground and the room was next to the elevators We moved over to another one but it was still outdated and dirty in some locations, like the window for example

The main lobby and public areas are beautiful and fancy, but it is not replicated on any floors above The pool was closed because it was not easily accessible to disabled individuals I understand why it should be made accessible but it should have been accessible a long time agoAlthough the people are nice and the location in the city is perfect, some necessary things must be fixed before it is the ideal hotel it is aiming to be

I’d like to say you get what you pay for but this was quite overpriced, and not all that great compared to other motels we’ve stayed in Barely Acceptable It’s very dated, the room was small, beds were small too but adequate

Air conditioning was super loud and very irritating but it kept the room coolI would not stay here again

Andrew Ives

You cannot get a good quality inn for $50 anymore and I was very very pleased with this place They invested in good quality mattresses and I slept Great!! The rooms are very clean I am a small busy owner so it also makes me feel good since they are also that l supported them and not the big companies that do not care who you

I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who enjoys a peaceful and delightful hotel experience! Smooth check in process I was given a room furthest away from the elevator, as I requested prior to arriving The hotel was very clean and well kept

I felt very comfortable and welcome The complimentary breakfast was very adequate, filling and appetizing I did not get a chance to enjoy the pool and jacuzzi but I saw several groups of people enjoy it, even during late evenings, and it looked very clean and inviting! I should’ve brought my bathing suit Hotel is located next to Rite Aid which is very convenient Housekeeping did a good job as well Parking was complimentary and very easy as well I have no complaints and plan to stay here again next time I visit family in Buffalo Thank you to all the staff!

Enjoyed our stay The room is very spacious and well organized There are two entries to the room and several exists to the parking

The pool side entry of the room is what we liked You can get a beautiful view of the garden alongside pool The fitness center is clean and nice The location of this hotel is perfect for shopping and lot of food options around

Alexis Walker

The customer service is Awesome! Every employee I spoke with was polite and usefulIn terms of the room, I was disappointed I stayed on the second floor with my family, including our pet

On our way to the room, we noticed none of the doors open automatically The doors are heavy and none are open with a door stopper either I found it tiresome to constantly have to struggle opening the door and pushing my baby’s stroller through the doorwayThe cleanliness of the room was good-clean sheet, towels No bugs or anything either Overall, the rooms should be updatedAnother thing that made my stay difficult was the access to a microwave There are only two microwaves, which are located in front of the front desk, which is such an inconvenience Imagine being on one side of the hotel and having to constantly go to the front desk to use the microwave—food, sterilizing bottles, etc I think there should be a microwave on each floor for guestsBuffalo is my hometown, and I always wanted to stay at this hotel—meaning excited However, I feel this hotel was top notch and prime 5-10 years ago, but now it could use some updates

This was a great Hotel I was traveling for work so I was by myself but the room was very spacious had a fridge, dishwasher, stovetop and microwave I think this would be an ideal hotel for a family that was vacationing in the area because you would be able to save some money by making some meals

The hotel also offers a decent breakfast for free and has a happy hour between 4-6 pm I loved that you can use the app to check in and use your phone to unlock your room I had a great stay and would recommend this hotel 100%

Nicole Ortiz

We stayed at this location in March as we had an early flight the next morning We had a few issues with the keyless entry, but the staff was extremely friendly and quick to helpWe are a family of four

We were all comfortable hereThe hotel was extremely clean My daughter enjoyed the pool and was able to swim aloneThe gym area is very nice and clean There was a nice variety of cardio optionsThe beds were extremely comfortable The room was a bit dated and could use a few updates throughoutThe location is excellent Extremely close to the airport and light traffic on the routeOverall, it was a great experience and we will stay again if we catch another early flight

Terry NGuessan

I booked a 9 nights stay for my family We all had a great stay from day one The staff was friendly, courteous, and professional at ALL time

One thing that amazed me was seing the cleaning crew ensured that all commonly touched surfaces were disinfected 5 years ago, I rated Homewood Suites by Hilton Boston / Andover with 5 stars because of its friendly staff It looks like Hilton does a great job in ensuring the highest standard of customer service from all its employees Cleanliness is another plus for Hilton, especially during this time of pandemics I will highly recommend Homewood Suites by Hilton to anyone looking for comfort and peace away from home

This is a pretty solid hotel, easily one of the best in the Hamburg/Orchard Park area, so the bad reviews are kind of bizarre to seeThe price ain’t bad I’ve stayed at much worse places for much more money

The value here is really about on par with what it should beThe staff isn’t overly friendly, but they aren’t rude or off-putting either They get the job done for what their job isOur room was clean, modern enough, and we were relieved to find coffee in there because we’ve recently had a string of hotels that did NOT have coffee in the roomI think what was particularly above average was the bed It was one of the most comfortable hotel beds we’ve ever slept in All the traveling we’ve ever done all over the country, dozens of different hotels, and this is a bed we’ll remember as one of the bestHowever, I was disappointed in the breakfast I was really looking forward to breakfast because it seemed they have a decent one as far as free hotel breakfasts go, but there wasn’t much The pancake machine wasn’t working, the metal containers were empty… Basically just a muffin and yogurt with coffee

Chelsea Baro

The rooms were clean and the bed VERY comfortable! The showers do take a few minutes to heat up, but once they get there they too are very nice However, the biggest plus of this hotel was the breakfast and the little lady with white hair and gold earrings working it The breakfast had multiple options for my boyfriend who has severe food sensitivities, an accommodation we are not at all used to in a hotel breakfast, which was PHENOMENAL! And the lady working was attentive, sweet, and went above and beyond for everyone attending the breakfast

We are very happy with our stay here

I regret being compelled to review this hotel in this way, but given the unacceptable circumstance, have no choice but to inform other of my experienceAs a real estate investor, I oftentimes find myself in many cities that are unknown to me When choosing my temporary residence, there are two things that I prioritize…1

The property must be smoke free2 The property must be among the highest guest reviewed properties in the given area3 Noon check-outThat’s itI choose to stay in the highest rated, smoke-free property that allows for a noon checkout To find the highest rated property, I look here – Where you’re reading this review right nowAll of that said, the stay was mediocre Not bad, not great The staff were, for the most part, cheerful The room was, acceptably clean, absent some (what I can only imagine) ketchup(?) splattered on the ceiling… I only seen it, after my second day in the room; a non-issueMy real trouble, comes post-checkout I departed the hotel at 11:30 AM on Saturday morningThree hours later, reviewing the expenses of the trip, I discovered that the hotel had billed me $27572 This amount was in-addition to the $33944 that I had paid to Expedia for the two-night stayI immediately called the property to inquire about the added charge and was told that there was nothing that could be done until a manager could *possibly* process a refund, on TuesdayNow, I’m not in a position where I’m drastically affected by a few hundred dollars being unusable for a number of days – but I have been in my lifetime I know that if this “mistake” happened to me, it’s happened to others Others who very well may not realize it until it’s too late, or not recognize it at all… And worse, people whose lives could be drastically impacted by not having access to their own money, when they reasonably and rightfully should expect toImagine a scenario where a guest of this hotel departs, flys across the country, and then are declined an Uber from the airport – because their bank account has insufficient fundsIt’s well past 48-hours since they’ve charged me the extra $275 – I’ve yet to receive the refund I’ve yet to receive a phone call, apology, email or textAs a guest who is adamant about leaving the room in the condition I found it, only staying in the highest rated properties, who is smoke-free, quiet and what I can only imagine an “ideal” guest… It’s starting to seem like their *real* ideal guest is one that doesn’t recognize they’ve been charged hundreds of dollars – for no reason at allIt seems sort of unbelievable that no system or brand standard exists within the Holiday Inn ecosphere that eliminates double or inadvertent billing If they do, I can only assume the extra charge was intentional, unjustified, and not an isolated incident – if this is true, and discovered to be the case, it would constitute theft, fraud or both

My stay was just okay 🤷🏻‍♂️Nice but somewhat dated typical Marriott feel Staff were very pleasant and accommodating, whether at the front desk, restaurant or exec lounge – all service was superb

Rooms were well appointed Comfortable bed Good water pressure and tempMy main complaint was lack of soundproofing I could hear everything…and I mean everything Every door that opened in my hallway Every word my neighbors said Every sneeze Everything I’ll allow you to fill in the rest of those detailsAnd while the service in the exec lounge was great, the food options were almost laughableI would stay again but wouldn’t be my first pick

Marian Rose

It was clean and bed was comfortable Had coffee and tea available in room This Marriott is older and in need of updating

It’s not as nice as other more modern Marriott I’ve stayed at I only had 1 washcloth in room and water took forever to get hot in shower But room was clean and I had no problems staying there The rate for this Marriott was lower then other Marriott, so I felt I got my moneys worth

My friends and I just stayed here this past weekend We were visiting from Toronto and it was a great experience Rooms were clean, beds and pillows were super comfortable, breakfast was delicious, the pool was awesome and the customer service was the absolute best!We had the pleasure of dealing with both Kay and Sabrina and they were both amazing

They accommodated us from beginning to end I have never experienced exceptional customer service like this and I will definitely be returning again The manager was also terrific and very kind We had some car trouble when we checked out and he was so helpful Thank you so much! We will be seeing you guys soon

Chris Woodroffe

Upon checking in there was lots of parking and the check in process was quick We went to our room which is a good size for a typical hotel roomBreakfast was well tended too with more options then a typical HIE which was nice

The lady the tended to the buffet did a great jobIn terms of location the hotel is in an excellent spot right off the highway and close to Walden Galleria, many restaurants and other power/strip mallsWhat I like best about the HIE is that you exactly what your going to get with the brand

Neka79

We asked for an exec king room which is a very nice size, but we soon realized the bathroom was dirty Someone else’s hair was all over the bathroom floor I called the front desk and they apologized and moved us to a double queen exec, which is also a nice size room

However, this room was also dirty and we were too exhausted to look for another hotel, especially since a lot of hotels were already sold out First thing, my husband sat in the office chair and almost fell backward because the chair was in bad condition Both headboards were oily from other guests’ hair products Then the bathroom had a child’s handprint on the mirror, and there was a man’s shaven facial hairs surrounding the base of the sink faucet

There are plenty of other choices nearby Stay somewhere else Elevator Broken

Unkept in general No attempt at any sort of polish on the place If you want to feel good about where you are staying just find somewhere else The only redeeming quality is that the airport shuttle actually got us to the airport and it was close to the airport The two drivers seemed ok Grab and go breakfast is only available at a certain time? How about just having the grab and go ready for people in the morning when they are goingto the airportoften early Overall a solid D+ for this place Barely did not yank my family out of it

Got the room with double beds but they were full mattresses, not queens so it was a pretty bad night sleep On top of that the room looked out over the parking lot and there are no blackout curtains so we had blinding light from the parking lot coming in all nightIt was clean and safe but unless you’re hard up, I’d recommend finding other lodging

Cameo VanDenBosch

The weekday breakfast lady is amazingBut the rooms are dirty with stained furniture, the elevators are nasty, the black out curtains are riped upThe toilet wasn’t attached very well to the floorI will never stay here againYes you pay for what you get and at $40000 per night I would have expected a cleaner hotel in generalWhen we talked to the GM she said we will have maintinece come look, as we were leaving she said we were able to find a pair of black out curtains which one do you want us to change out

Don’t waist your money stay someplace else

Robert M

The room seemed reasonably clean, though it smelled of high-intensity cleaning fluids–used, perhaps, to wipe out vestiges of cigarette smoke The room also had the usual standard comforts, including a fridge and plenty of outlets and plugs around the desk We didn’t have significant problems with noise, but keep in mind that this is a pet-friendly hotel, so you may hear barking dogs at times

The breakfast is extremely basic: microwavable breakfast sandwiches, a couple of kinds of cereal, yogurt, fruit, basic bread, waffle machines The breakfast room space is small for the number of customers (esp on weekends), so it may be incredibly noisy, you may encounter lines for the microwave and waffle machines, and there may not be enough tables to accommodate everyone The kitchen/breakfast manager mostly scowled at everyone, and once 9 am comes around, don’t be surprised if she’s already put some stuff away and starts turning off the lights The hotel is easily accessed from the highway, and seems like a stop for many folks headed for Niagara Falls The property is generally well maintained, though the western side of the parking lot has a lot of potholes, torn fencing, and other issues Overall, it’s fine–not the best, but okay

Charles V

Side parking lot is terrible, needs to be resurfaced Overall location does not make you feel safe Staff was very friendly

Room was outdated but overall very clean Bed was very comfortable Breakfast in the morning could use some improvement Would recommend at this rate, but only if you don’t have a choice to stop Also don’t go downtown Buffalo to grab a pizza, it’s quite a stressful experience You might get shot

Nat Ouellet

A budget hotel with the typical noisy AC/Heater model of the 90s Decor is somewhat dated, breakfast is basic, the cheap Digital TV remote had to be replaced in our room, but the bed was at least comfy and the staff was really courteous Convenient 7-11 store across the street

Unfortunately, the hotel rate doesn’t doesn’t match the level of other hotels in the same price range

I also appreciate that the TV in the lobby was on a cooking show instead of a news channel 👏 We were just passing through but would definitely stay here again if we’re in the area

I’m an Asst General Manager at another Choice property so, I tend to be very critical when staying at other Hotels But I have little to no negative criticism about my stay

The rooms need updates for sure but that’s out of the Staffs control Holly, the Asst General Manager was so incredibly welcoming & accommodating She went above & beyond for me & I watched her do it with other Guests as well that have no affiliation to Choice Also, Trevor! What a hospitable young guy! I had interacted with him over the phone & he was super helpful but then I met him in person… his professional appearance is top notch & his Guest Service skills are great I hope he learns a ton & moves up in the Hospitality Industry Beds were tucked tight with hospital folds at corners, mattresses were clean, bed skirts were neat, no dust on wood furniture, bathroom presentation was perfect, Lobby was mopped & smelled incredible! Excellent job everybody, you should be proud

Check-in was fast and friendly! Seriously good service Felt welcome and taken care of, which was much needed after 85 hours on some of the worst roads I’ve every experienced

Beds are comfy, though the sheets have a bit of a perfume smell to them that I don’t care forBiggest issue is parking! They list on their website that they have RV/truck/bus parking, but when I arrived with my 15′ U-Haul with my car on a trailer behind, I found no such thing! Actually wound up a bit stuck trying to find it in the dark, but thankfully the wonderful receptionist found another guest who was able to help me get outThey’re 100% smoke free and smell it, which is great! And they happily accommodated my 3 cats for the night, though their website says 2 pet limit Very much appreciate that flexibility!

My close friend had a hotel party here recently Rooms were clean Showers properly cleaned( you can tell someone took the time to clean the tub and walls, unlike some other hotels)

Experienced the Pool at night Was warm and clean Not to much chlorine in the pool, ( no hurt eyes) Surrounding pool area clean and kept decently dry During the night the pool was not busy at all It was nice to have the pool to ourselves!

Rooms a bit outdatedcarpets could use good cleaning Lot of stains

Room wasn’t as clean as it could have been Staff very friendly Breakfast was very good, lot of selection Even had gluten free cereal and sugar free syrup for the waffles Pool was disappointing Water very cold and hot tub jets didn’t workBut overall was satisfactory

Nice & spacious room (& shower) Good breakfast after a restful night with comfortable pillows and bed Worth the price

However, the hotel is a little hard to find from the road at night thoughThe best part is what I found at the desk: a little card of being alert for “Human Trafficking” (pictures) 5 stars +

The rooms were great and the hotel location was great But I don’t know when Marriott started using strong air freshening scents in their hotel but it was absolutely disgusting I am very sensitive to scents I could not use their elevators or go near the lobby and had to hold my breath in the hallways

I just do not get why anybody would do this not everybody likes the same scents even if you’re not sensitive I have always loved Marriott properties , so I’m hoping they change your policy on this

My stay was enjoyable, it would have been nice to have complimentary breakfast It is nice that they have the restaurant but it would be more enjoyable if it was open later in the night as well Upon my arrival my TV didn’t work

They switched my room and from that point on everything was smooth sailing So I can’t really say that I had any issues with the hotel Neither their best to accommodate me to the best of their ability

Driving for 6 hours and finally reaching the courtyard Marriott was the best feeling I was greeted by Aishya, a lovely student who was gracious and accommodating The room we had was on the 3rd floor and super clean with no issues

I had the pleasure of meeting Ravi, who was able to extend by checkout time I informed him that I’ll be staying here again since my child will be attending college in the area Ravi was also gracious and beyond hospitable Looking forward to coming back!

Southwest Airlines provided this hotel due to flight issues From the moment we checked in to leaving, the staff was extremely kind The shuttle driver at night and early in the morning was awesome! Friendly and energetic regardless of the time Front desk had a smile throughout the entire stay! Breakfast was warm and delicious! And there was a staff member who was constantly cleaning to ensure safety

The staff here went above and beyond Great customer service throughout the entire stay!

This is strictly a no-frills place but quiet, clean and comfortable The staff are extremely courteous and helpful Even though they were almost completely full, they helped us with an early check-in

Our 6AM flight out of Buffalo got cancelled at the last moment We had already checked out of the hotel and reached the airport We called the front desk from the airport and they managed to scramble a room for us at a super reasonable rate They sent the complimentary hotel shuttle to the airport to pick us up, checked us in again and generally took care of everything All this at around 6AM in the morning! Great customer service! The bonus is the buffet breakfast which is ready at 430AM and a great convenience for guests catching the early morning flights

Dani

Staff is very friendly! Rooms are super clean, roomy and comfortable The breakfast is great Lots of choices for both food and drinks

Love Sue who takes care of everything at breakfastOnly con was that the hot tub was closed and the jacuzzi tub in our room didn’t work

While the property is a bit worn, the staff is amazing and accommodating, it’s very clean and I would stay here again in a New York minute I got here late at night and even though their website says they have shuttle service from the airport till midnight, when I called, they said they didn’t have a driver I understand staffing issues since Covid but suggested the should take off of their website till they can properly staff the shuttle

Even though I’m sure it wasn’t in his job description, Robert picked me up anyway and I was very grateful The room was very nice complete with a seating area, a small kitchen and they have a tub and full size coffee pot (all of which I love) I was on CA time so spent some time around the fire pit to wind down Overall, I really like this property!

WORST hotel stay I’ve ever experienced When we arrived to the door of our room, there was a pot with bacon grease sitting directly in front of our door The hallway leading up to our room was also filled with various trash as if housekeeping hadn’t been up there in days and smelled

The room was not cleaned, feel pretty confident in saying they switched out the towels and sheets and then just left without actually cleaning anything There was food on the wall, stains on the chairs, the bath tub was gross and definitely not sanitized, dusty surfaces, and huge tear in the bed comforter We went to the front desk to ask if the pot of bacon grease could at least be picked up and the woman at the front desk scoffed and was extremely rude and then saying “I guess I’ll just get to it if I can” – she mentioned being under staffed, which I understand is frustrating, but not an excuse to be rude to a guest I was a front desk agent at a hotel myself, and this woman had 0 customer service skills and was not apologetic in the slightest We went out to dinner, came back and the bacon grease was still sitting outside of our door, while I didn’t have high expectations that it would be taken care of right away based on the interaction with the employee at the front desk, but what was frustrating to see was that when we arrived back from dinner the staff of the hotel was just sitting in the main lobby common area just chatting and laughing together and remained there for awhile that night, don’t understand how an understaffed hotel has so much “free time” on their hands, the extreme lack of cleanliness of the hotel was just unacceptable and the amount of time they spent socializing you could have easily cleaned up the trash in the hall multiple times The trash throughout the hall, including the pot of bacon grease was never picked up during our stay so our one request was ignored While the hotel is a convenient location, definitely pass on this place and go somewhere cleaner that actually takes care of the property

I don’t understand how this hotel has high reviews The service was terrible You can never get them on the phone ever (even sometimes as a guest in the hotel), and if they pick up, they leave you on hold for hours or no one has answers

If you’re looking to use their “shuttle” from the airport, don’t bother I don’t believe they actually have a proper running shuttle from the airport The rooms are average at best, the hallways smell and the breakfast is sub-par Oh and there’s no light dinner as some of these booking websites suggest The best thing about the hotel is the kitchen in the rooms in my opinion
