It really is pretty No full kitchen or laundry in our room which is a bit disappointing since it’s a vacation club Our rooms are quite large, which is why I wish we could have laundry

The staff for the most part are awesome!Within walking distance of shops and restaurants so you don’t have to leave unless you want to Lots of stuff for kids to do The pools are really nice and have fun features

Don’t forget to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙᴏʟʟʏᴄᴏm when booking a hotel This web site will compare hundreds of hotel sites and typically will have prices much cheaper compared to others! You’re welcome :)! This resort is one of the best in this area

I’ve been staying here for a very long time If you stay for a few days you definitely won’t be disappointedHuge shared space, large dining table, full kitchen (full sized refrigerator, dishwasher, 5 burner stove, conventional oven, microwave, toaster, blender, dishes and utensils for 8), two master suites with king beds, jacuzzi tub, two sofa beds Beach views within hear shot of soothing crashing waves

Michael Teleha

Very torn between 3 and 4 It is a nice place to stay Parking is good staff is friendly

Like most hotels not enough staff Easier to get your own a lot of the time then wait for server Free self parking Food is typical Balconies on the room are a disappointment First too narrow Then handrail at eye level Finally- a wall ⅔ up the railing height every other floor blocking views I think the lack of depth is what makes them tuff to manageTypical free gift that is not a gift It is a gift after you take a tour and hear the sales pitch = not much of a resort credit for 2-4 hours of your time

This resort is so friendly and laid back and has everything you need for a good price Rooms are spacious with gorgeous bathrooms The pool area is amazing! Never a fight for a chair since there are so many

Day time bartenders Theresa and Dave were so professional, friendly and on top of their jobs I’m someone that usually prefers sit down dining and pool side service which they don’t currently have, but I was100% satisfied with the bar and food options There are many places to walk to for food and there is a fabulous paved trail that goes 1-15 ish miles down towards other resorts for more dining options, beach access and exercise Concierge was great also, they hook you up with a waterproof bracelet that is a key so you don’t have to carry it around, and can set you up with fun excursions I found fabulous surf lessons through them The other guests are also very friendly! I travel alone to Hawaii often and this was my best trip because of how friendly everyone was Highly recommended unless you are snooty about modern decor, etc, which I don’t understand This place was wonderful

This isn’t a 5 star hotel, but definitely deserves 5 stars for service & location! We loved our week long stay here Resort is a bit dated, but the location and staff were amazing! Great pool area with a small water slide We never had trouble finding a place to sit by the pool

Rooms were spacious & clean If we needed anything, we just sent the front desk a text, and it was at our door in 15 min Loved having the food trucks & restaurants within walking distance 10 minutes to some of the best beaches in Maui too! Amazing value here!

Shivakumar Rajam

This is a good resort right on the beach Though the rooms are a bit dated, they are very spacious and their 1 bedroom suite can easily accommodate a family of 4 Kitchen is decent size for short stay and laundry on each floor is helpful

A giant swimming pool + restaurant with adjacent access to the beach is very unique and exclusive The beach is neat and water was warm and clean with plenty of space on the sand to rest and relax In-house dining options are limited Their concierge is focused on selling timeshare products and they hunt you for the same which is annoying Overall, I’d recommend this place for a family vacation👍

Feels like home, but better! We accidentally under booked our honeymoon and ended up finding this hidden gem for a night Sherry, Tiana and Renee were so friendly and helpful Our room was clean and cozy

They gave us everything we needed and more We loved being able to pick up one of their beach chairs and walk across the street to the beach We cleaned off in their outdoor shower and splashed in the pool Oh and they had the best shampoo and conditioner out of anywhere else we stayed!! We didn’t have a chance to borrow one of their bikes but we would have loved to take them to the nearby restaurants and shops! We wish we could have stayed longer Thank you for an amazing stay and memories that will last a lifetime! 🌺

Sherry Shao

We had such a fantastic time staying at the Old Lahaina House! Sherry and her staff have been above and beyond with their hospitality – they’re always so quick to respond and had so many fun facts and suggestions about the neighbourhood The units we stayed in were very clean and cozy – the neighbourhood is fairly quiet and we found ourselves waking up to the sounds of birds in the morning! This was also located so conveniently close to town that we spent many nights walking into town for food and drinks, then sauntering back via the beach – we had some of the best sunsets here and so many stars on clear nights! So if you’re looking for a well-priced, locally hosted spot – this is honestly perfect!

Aashna Mago

My friend and I had an incredible stay!! We were considering some more upscale resorts and I’m so glad we went with this Felt so homey and authentic but also a really nice experience — lovely pool with fun floaties, beach chairs, toys, and towels and just across the street from the beach, walking distance from fun restaurants, bars, and food trucksThe rooms also had a fridge, microwave, coffeemaker, and dishes, which was a bonus

Above all, Sherry, her family and staff (and the other guests) were sooo friendly and welcoming Was a joy to stay

Alex Seaman

This condo was everything we could want and more! We wish we had a king bed but that was error on our part missing that when booking The condo having a kitchen was super ideal The balcony overlooking the ocean! We slept with the door open every night and fell asleep to crashing waves 🙂 The pool/hot tub was super nice and being able to walk RIGHT out to the beach

We saw sea turtles right in front of the resort in the water MULTIPLE times Watching sunsets from our balcony was just unreal 🙂 The property is very walkable to shops/restaurants but far enough away that it wasn’t “touristy” around the resort Staff was extremely accommodating and friendly On site parking Highly recommend!!

Phil Freeman

I can’t say enough good things about this resort The staff are super friendly and really helpful The resort was not too crowded and there was rarely a time we had to wait at all to talk to someone or ask a question

Another thing that is important for our family is the availability of a luggage cart and parking I’ve found that other stays at other hotels whi can’t seem to locate their own luggage carts or don’t care to look for them is a red flag The resort is 20 feet from the water20 feet! Its magical waking up and being able to be that close to the ocean from your room Also the parking is fantasticand underground in the shade which is super important Lastly, the location is great, right on front street and just blocks from stores, shops, entertainment, and restaurants You cant go wrong here

Andrew Lee

So much potential, but underwhelming My wife and I stayed here for 10 days During the entire time the hot tub and printer were out of order

This hotel would also be a lot better if they just swapped out the carpeting and changed from fluorescent lights to something softer You also only get housekeeping services every 3 days The beach itself is good, but the water quickly turns to rockWhile part of World of Hyatt, the hotel doesn’t extend great benefits to members To book an award reservation you need to stay a minimum of five nights Additionally there is no complimentary update for Explorist members To go from Mountain View to ocean view would have been $50/nightOn the pro side, this hotel is located in a good location on Front St Easily walkable to the restaurant scene, but not overly loud

This was a very nice resort Everything was pretty much open-air Being from the main land this was a surprise to us but was nice

They offered different classes during the day, which was nice I took advantage if the lei-making class Different types if leis were shown before teaching how, which was very interesting The restaurants in the resort were very good and we quickly learned that they required reservations The sunset view from our balcony was beautiful

Amy D

My husband and I stayed here in May and absolutely loved it! The resort is beautiful and we had so much fun! We would definitely stay againIt was in such a peaceful area and far exceeded our expectations The food at the restaurant was also really good and they offered a lot of activities at the resort

We recommend this resort to anyone who comes to Maui!

Vincenzo Pandolfi

Very disappointed in the room and mattresses We were put in a wheelchair accessible room, which is not what we booked They never made us aware at check in of this downgrade

This was very inconvenient for us The mattresses were absolutely horrible No support They did switch one out for us, but it was just as bad The beds are low to the ground with less support than the beds in the standard room next to us, which we paid for We paid a considerable amount of money and did not get this value in our stay We enjoyed everything else about the resort, but unfortunately a good night sleep is the most important part of a vacation, which we did not get All three of us staying in this room are experiencing a lot of back and neck pain due to the poor mattresses Don’t let them put you in room 6029!! We deserve some type of compensation for this issue that significantly had a negative impact on our stay

My husband and I stayed at the Plantation Inn for our mini honeymoon recently The inn was perfect for our needs for the weekend We loved that it was quiet, adults only, and so close to Front Street

The pool and hot tub being 24/7 was awesome, and the pool was always clean and not crowded Our room was clean, spacious and the balcony overlooking the pool was a nice touch We loved having a delicious, gourmet breakfast included The staff were all helpful and attentive to anything we needed It’s a small, quiet inn but it’s perfect for a relaxing getaway with access to everything you could want in Lahaina Parking was a little tight, but that not a big deal all things considered We would definitely stay here again over staying in a large resort overrun with people!

Brandon Plontz

Amazing place to stay! So quiet and relaxing even though your close to the city You wouldn’t guess it being there I’d highly recommend staying at! Very friendly and great service

Breakfast tasted so good and had indoor and outdoor seating Very lovely place to stay at! Rather your looking to get away and read a book by the pool or enjoy the city night life with live music and walk back to room this is the place to stay at!

K N

A very nice bed and breakfast Room was spacious and clean with a balcony Breakfasts were good, however the menu options were the same each day; would have liked a bit more variety over our 3 day stay

There is no elevator access to the 2nd floor Provided beach towels and chairs Ice machine was locked and had to ask front desk for assistance, Since property is protected by key cards it would have been nice to have access to ice at our convenience

Wow Just WOW We stayed here for our Honeymoon recently and were completely blown away with the service

There were little surprises around every corner from champagne in our room, to gifts, to a complimentary dinner The staff are absolutely incredible From the Valet attendants to the housekeepers, the service may have been the best we’ve experienced and surpassed that of which we’ve had at $1300/night hotels Our room was recently updated with a gorgeous full ocean view The restaurant Hui Hui had great selection and the food was fantastic The beach in front of the resort is absolutely beautiful It’s unbelievably soft sand and relatively quiet with gorgeous Sunset Views We cannot wait to go back!

Alex Castillo

This hotel stay was everything we could have asked for! Everyone working here were so polite and helpful, from the guys outside unloading your luggage, the front desk attendants to the servers and bartenders at the hotel restaurant and bar The courtyard facing room we had also had a great view of the ocean The courtyard is a massive lawn with a good amount of trees for coverage and a bunch of lawn chairs to relax on

In the middle of the courtyard is a decent sized pool Next to the pool is a outside grill that has a bunch of really tasty options Right off the beach is their hotel restaurant, which is DELICIOUS! Everything we had their, breakfast lunch and dinner options were all fantastic! The signature cocktails were great as well, one in particular using local honey On the day of our checkout we were invited to a intimate farewell ceremony that was the perfect cap to our vacationIf you want a hotel that feels like Hawaii and not another cookie cutter resort, this is the perfect choice It may not have all the amenities that the hotels next to it offers, but those hotels have their guests packed on top of each other like sardines You can easily find peace and quiet here, and they don’t make you feel like just another visitor

Simon Powell

Location, location, location 1 miles from downtown which has lots of shops, restaurants, bars

5 miles from a Safeway 2 great sandy beaches within a few minutes drive I was in a single person room which was the perfect size Everything for cooking, utensils/pots/cups/plates etc The towels were fluffy and the bed was comfy They offer beach towels and beach gear Every morning you can sit at the sea/rock wall and see the turtles, at night you can sit out and hear the Old Lahaina Luau in the distance Staff was extremely friendly and helpful There is no TV, Phone or AC, but with cell phones you don’t need a phone or TV I just stayed there and didn’t need an AC, just left the windows open and fans on The only con was the water temperature was a little tricky at times, but it’s an older building, that’s to be expected Lots of beautiful flowers, grass, birds and plenty of seats and tables It was a wonderful trip and can’t wait to go back and stay here again!

Karlie

This place absolutely blew away my expectations My boyfriend and I stayed here for 4 nights and it was magical Waking up and hearing the waves crash right next to your room is what dreams are made of

We had one of the ocean view rooms, which you can select upon booking, so our balcony pointed straight toward the sunset It was beautifulThe rooms are set up like a studio apartment There’s a little kitchen area with a microwave, fridge and stove They provide dishes and silverware for you which was a nice touch There’s a little dining table as well The bed was comfortable! Very clean room overallThis is an adults only hotel which was a blessing, no screaming children in sight If you’re wanting a beach right outside your room, this is not the place for you The sea wall is literally right outside with no beach access However there are beaches and restaurants within walking distance This is also not a big resort experience, if that is also what you’re looking for That was one of the things that drew us to this placeLaura, the owner, was a great and attentive person that gave us wonderful advice on where to eat and play I would not stay anywhere else in Maui, and I know we will return here some day

Shane Lynam

Really nice place to stay The sea views from the garden area were stunning with plenty of sun loungers to relax on Sunsets were awesome

It was also our honeymoon and Laura left a card in our room which was a nice touch! Baby Beach is about a 13 min walk away also with a very good snorkelling spot A 5 min walk to a number of decent restaurants too Highly recommend

Great location! About 45 min from the airport The resort is clean and located snuggly on the beach The beach is perfect for swimming & families

The resort does have snorkeling gear, paddle boards & other outdoor items to rentWe stayed in a 2-bedroom/2-bathroom ocean view room Spacious! The space is a little outdated but definitely met my family’s needs, and provided space for the kids Highly recommend grocery shopping if you are wanting to save a little $$$ since it has a full kitchenThere are 2 pools, a pickle ball court and a shuffle board for entertainment My daughter & I participated in a lei making class & hula lessons located right in the lobby This resort met our expectations!

Brooke Terryn

The views are amazing, the food at the diner is incredible, and the two are pools are fantastic for all of your needs The first night was a little rough, as our room wasn’t quite what we had wanted, but luckily they were able to fix it by the next day and the rest of our experience was nothing short of spectacular Definitely a place to keep in mind if you’re looking for a relaxing space to lay your head!

The location of the hostel less than 50′ away from the beach was a great bonus and a highlight to surrounding areas The staff were fantastic and very accommodating with friendly smiles and great conversation They work very hard to keep the hostel clean, accommodate the guests, and are always hustling to get the job done

I couldn’t ask for better stay and the daily rate is very affordable and reasonable

Csala Hunor

Overall it has a great Hawaiian beach hostel vibe with nice small lights during night, palms and vegetation, surf boards all over the place The outside roofless restroom has a truly unique feeling, as you can look up and see some palm trees and sky It is very close to the beach, literally just a few steps away

You can rent surf boards from them, or if you have your own there is storage space for it There was plenty of parking space available I slept in the tent which was fine, they had a mattress inside the tent which was nice, I just expected sleeping pad However, we had to pay and extra $35 for another person sleeping with me in the tent, even though when I booked the place there was no mention of this, nor the option to select that there will be 2 people in the tent Nevertheless, they quickly brought us a second mattress and everything was fine afterwards

Jason

Enjoyed my stay here and felt this hostel provides a unique experience The beach is right outside and a good surf spot for beginners I really liked how it feels outdoorsy and close to nature

My room is a simple partition but not enclosed, so I wake up to the birds chirping There is a garden in the outdoor common spaces and several cats roaming around The staff are super friendly and work hard to keep the place cleanI would give 5 stars if the bathrooms were a bit cleaner and had better ventilation Otherwise I would still consider staying here again

What a beautiful historic Inn! We checked in for our 5 nights stay here during our visit to Maui and we were so graciously welcomed by Kiley She explained the parking process to us (yes they do offer free parking!) and also all the hotel amenities and went over the map of the hotel as well as nearby restaurants and shops Everyone at the front desk is so friendly and welcoming

The room comes with a lanai (a balcony) with two rocking chairs and a table Rooms are clean and decent sized They also offer room service upon request The hotel is so conveniently located on Front Street that you can pretty much walk to most restaurants and beaches around Their courtyard is just so dreamy and they also have an in-house talking parrot named Alex Will definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in West Maui on their trip

AC is a MUST for us, and it worked perfectly!! We have stayed at high-end resorts up the coast at Kaanapali, which are beautiful, but we prefer staying here for the location, cost and experience We didn’t need a car, so that saved a ton of money Can’t wait to return!

Fantastic historical hotel for those that like boutique style stays Super comfy beds Right next to the banyan tree

Delicious restaurant downstairs The pool is a bit cold but we preferred the beach a few blocks away Our favorite was the lanai with rocking chairs We traveled with our son and the fold out mini bed worked just fine Great AC too ad nice bathroom We loved it

As well as the birds chirping The otherside you can hear and maybe see the nightly luau The beach is right outside of the walkway Kids pools were great for the little ones It ties in with the other pool They had water slide and all the convince we needed for our best vacation in our lifetime Regency was the best of all the locations when visited HawaiiIf we ever go back this is the o e for us

Awesome property to stay Hyatt is so generous to its customers I highly recommend their hotel statuses which can get you a nicer room if available

Many activities at this location We loved the free morning yoga at the Napili gardens Staff is super friendly Japengo’s food is awesome and do an early reservation; and to the Pacific drums of Luau

Our visit to the Spa was nice and the Massage and the Rock Massage was amazing! There was only a couple things that dropped our rating that was: Marilyn Monroe never came to the place so it doesn’t hold any actual connection to her, upon making the reservation for a couples massge we weren’t encouraged to arrive early to use the Sauna, Jacuzzi, Steamroom or relaxing area So once all was said and done we got dressed and went about our day

Overall it was very nice as a first for us @ $165 for full body Massage and $180 for Stone full body Massage and a mandatory %20 gratuity totalling $428 I might recommend passing on this to utilize the money on larger activities, to create more memories but in all that’s up to each person We do do appreciate what we did receive So Thank you!!

I Highly recommend Napili Surf! The property and units are wonderfully kept, a true tropical paradise! The beach and pools are steps away The staff is very friendly and you will feel like part of the Surf Family! They provide a weekly breakfast and a Mai Tai Cocktail party, which is a great way to meet other guests and learn more about Maui! It books up quickly, so reserve early!

We stayed at this resort for 9 days and overall I had numerous pros and cons during our stay The 1st con was when my boyfriend went to the front desk to ask for more hand towels, the gentleman at the receptionist desk rolled his eyes and seemed very annoyed and dismissively said someone would stop by our room Not the biggest deal, but took us off guard since the request was very simple and wasn’t urgent

The 2nd con was my retainer was thrown away by the housekeeping staff I brought it with me and took it off in the middle of the night to take a Tylenol and placed it on a napkin on the wooden headboard above our bed Not realizing the next morning was a housekeeping visit, I didn’t put it in my case and it was tossed in the trash I’ve alerted a representative of the resort and they of course said their staff couldn’t recall throwing it away and that I should recheck my bags when I got home (of course I checked and it wasn’t there like I thought) This is really unfortunate because replacing a top and bottom retainer costed me $400, which I provided proof of the receipt to a representative of the resort named Paul upon my return home In my opinion, it would’ve been smarter for the management team to AT LEAST offer a voucher to compensate for our financial loss That would have appeased me a little, provided a better customer service experience, and guaranteed them future revenue by incentivizing a future stay at their resort The 3rd con was in the beach bag that was provided in our room, we found an old, obviously previously worn pair of Women’s underwear in the zipper part of the beach bag that we unfortunately put our phones in It’s not a pleasant feeling to reach for your phone to realize you’re touching someone else’s dirty nasty underwear We threw the underwear in the trash near the Sea House restaurant and quickly washed our hands This incident showed that the beach bag wasn’t inspected from a prior visit, and our hands paid the cost The 4th con was we didn’t have cellphone service or cable tv access for 2 days because of a modem issue It was later resolved by a nice lady at the front desk, but was inconvenient nonetheless The 5th con was there were two days where the housekeeping staff did not empty the trash cans (kitchen area and bathroom) which I thought was weird being that it was full I had to take the bags out of their cans and place it by the front door for pick up, which you don’t expect to have to do on vacation (pictures attached) The final con was there were two incidents where I began showering to realize there was someone’s else hair embedded in the thread of the towels (hair wasn’t mine, picture attached) My biggest pet peeve is hair on towels that aren’t mine, so that was icky Pros are the room was stocked with everything you need (though I would recommend providing an iron), the sheets were clean, and I loved the fans in each room There’s plenty of lighting throughout and I loved the full kitchen complete with a dishwasher The quick access to the beach was wonderful and it was nice of the resort to provide plentiful beach towels, beach tubes/noodles, etc The resort is also conveniently walking distance from a restaurant called Kitchen 5315 that had excellent food! We all enjoyed the one complimentary breakfast, coconut demonstration, and Mai Tai event during the week as well The room also had a nice patio area near the pool and I really liked how pool hooks were on the patio, so you could hang your wet swimwear to air dry Overall, I would recommend this place as most of the cons listed could be resolved with more careful inspection/awareness Really wish the retainer situation would’ve been resolved with more courtesy Accidents happen, but it wouldn’t have hurt them in any way financially to provide either a reimbursement (most places have insurance that covers such issues) or a voucher ☹️
