We had an absolutely wonderful time staying at the Inn at Court Square Candace was so warm and friendly and her interior design talent is impeccable The inn is beautiful yet so homey

We had our eight month old with us and Candace was so sweet with him Other inns have stated that babies are not allowed and I really appreciate that this one is kid friendly! We hope to return and cannot recommend this lovely place enough Candace also fixed a delicious breakfast! Our stay far exceeded our expectations Thank you, Candace and team!

Simply the best The Inn itself is amazing Great details and nice touches throughout

The owner was wonderful and made you feel welcome as soon as you walked in Sitting by the fireplace that evening after check-in was so blissful The room was great, very comfortable with a very nice bathroom It was warm and quiet The breakfast was top notch Pat, the pastry chef did a remarkable job with the food and the presentation and the staff was right there to refill your coffee and/or juice If you are anywhere near Charlottesville you need to make a reservation and spend the night (or many)

Suzan (Suzann)

I stayed here for 1 and 1/2 months on a business trip The office staff was very helpful, the rooms were clean, it was quiet and well run Most of the other visitors were there for work as well and were happy too

Would stay here again if I am back in the area Close to bus and grocery/ drug store, gas and shopping center across the street Not too fancy but has everything you need, dishes, pots, microwave, good size fridge, wifi Enjoy

Joshua Gild

A fairly good place to stay for a longer period of time or if a full kitchen is a must Not too many amenities but the bed was comfortable and the kitchen/living room area was quite large Parking was free as well, which is a bonus

My only complaint is the room had quite a strong odor of cigarettes, most likely from past tenants

Greg Loumos

I’m considering a move to Charlottesville but couldn’t find a suitable rental for getting to know the town Houses were for something different than I want and Airbnb’s are overpriced with little privacy Affordable Suites was the right balance

All the amenities I needed, esp the optional kitchen package Other reviews have noted how accommodating Ashley and Brian are; I fully agree The property was the right price and the right comforts for my situation I’ll be spending more time there

My wife and I stayed here a few months back We had a great experience The property is beautiful and unique

The breakfast and 3 course dinner are both tasty The only part I didn’t enjoy were the Trump wines, they were light for my taste The service was phenomenal The staff seemed to genuinely care that we enjoyed our stay Josh and Callie were outstanding Josh gave great bar service and was very knowledgeable about the property Callie helped us to our room and served us dinner, as well She was very friendly and bubbly and one of the best servers we’ve ever had I would recommend this place to everyone We plan to stay again

Wife and I took two dogs to Charlottesville and stayed here one night We arrived 2 hours early and were offered early check in without asking Pet policy was clearly explained and absolutely the most reasonable we’ve encountered

The hotel staff was courteous and pleasant The room was a solo King and was spotless Many older hotels have a dampness in the air, but there was nothing amiss here Facilities worked, and everything was clean We will be back

Bethany St. Marie

You get what you pay for Everywhere feels warm and stuffy, elevator doors sometimes open, a bunch of workers hanging out in the pool area smoking and drinking packs of beer while my kids and I were swimming both days of our stay, even though signs say not to smoke The first room we got put in we opened the pull out couch and it was full of stains and large crumbs

The sink and sheets had hairs We changed rooms and it was better, but that experience was so gross that it made me wonder if they actually clean things Do not stay here, definitely not an enjoyable family stay

Samantha Elizabeth

Being graduation weekend, by the time we looked for a hotel (2 months in advance), the Holiday Inn Charlottesville-Monticello was our only option When we arrived in our room at Holiday Inn Charlottesville/Monticello, there were dirty napkins on the table by the lamp and trash between the sheets and comforter It was evident that they didn’t clean the room between parties

Since the hotel was fully booked, they were only able to give us new sets of sheets and comforters for us to remake the bedsThe beds were comfy However, the room was poorly designed – If you need to shut the lights off by the bed, there’s a high chance of hitting your head on the bed frame; If you want to access the closet, no one can use the bathroom and vice versa; and The glass wall in the shower is off the frame and looks like it’s gonna fallThe AC was really loud throughout the day and night The room had little flies They offer coffee and hot tea and iced water for all hotel guests However, they don’t offer complimentary breakfast for guests, but they offer a hot breakfast buffet for $1699/person Luckily, there was a Starbucks and Waffle House that was a short walking distance from the hotel

Ron Brosmer

We stayed here 2 nights for a weekend getaway and it was fantastic The front desk staff were very nice and every other staff member we met was pleasant This was probably the cleanest hotel we have ever stayed at and thee COVID precautions were excellent

The buffet continental breakfast was good and filling We only live 2 hours away but will stay here if we do another overnight to the area

michael gross

The “suite” was much more expensive than other suites in the area that offered more

like a full kitchen and nicer bathroomBreakfast was good for microwaved food Typical Americanish standard breakfast of very low qualityThe bathroom was super small and the door interfered with the shower The shower had a curtain, not glass that you would find in normal hotels at that price Also, the water trickled out and barely got warm Not to even mention the faucet handle came right off in our handsThis “4 star hotel” also had no bar, restaurant, or any place of leisure It was more like a truck stop that shares space with a Days Inn beside a busy and noisy highwayI’m not sure why it has such great reviews Americans have such low standards I guessFor $168 a night in Europe you’re treated like a king!

LOVED this hotel Great locationThis area can be a bit pricey and I was happy to find this hotel

We had a wonderful two-night stay there in June of 2022 The staff is WONDERFULso friendly and helpful Our room was perfect: large with fridge and microwave, comfy beds and excellent water pressure in the shower (a bonus)There is a steakhouse right next door called The Aberdeen Barn that was unfortunately closed (make a note it is not open on Tuesdays or double check online) There is a Whole Foods, Kroger, and our favorite, Trader Joe’s about a stone’s throw from the hotel, so if you are in a pinch, they are always an option (best to get to with a car, not on foot)The downstairs “market” by the front desk has sodas/gatorade, candy, hard cider/beer and wine (though expensive) They do have fridge meals you can microwave in your room as wellThe gym was pretty gracious in size and I was happy to see a full set of free weights in addition to two treadmills, one elliptical, and a TVThe only things I think were lacking:~a diet/no sugar option for the drinks by the front desk~actual soda/ vending machines on each floorWhen we are back in Charlottesville, we will certainly stay here again!

The house is great 👍 very Bohemian the host is extremely friendly and very polite Exceptionally good value Great location

Everything available for you to use Fridge full, fruit, every coffee or tea you can think ofThe only thing that let’s it down is the front garden and front pavement it definitely needs some work, but the owners are very environmentally aware so I think that is the reason

We stayed in a cabin on property, celebrating my mom’s birthday Having never been to the area before, we were swept away with how beautiful the scenery is, and although the cabins were a bit closer together than I imagined, it was still serene and quiet, and we could enjoy the peacefulness The activities and things they orchestrate for the families are a great addition, just knowing that they put families in mind is great

They also make sure your cabin is stocked with all the essentials that you’ll need, and when we arrived everything was neat and orderly And although I’m sure my son will tell you his favorite part was the pools, mine was definitely the horseback riding tour of property

Mindi Reedy

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon and had the best time We stayed in one if the yurts which was the most beautiful and peaceful experience we’ve ever had You can actually hear the rain and nature sounds through the yurt walls

The yurt is so beautifully designed and has everything you could want or need The resort and the yurt were immaculately clean We also enjoyed the horses on site The resort even left us chocolates and a card to celebrate our honeymoon

michele suddleson

Enjoyed a lovely respite from the DC area with family here The staff at this resort were very friendly and accommodating They provided me with a perfect spot to attend an all-day, virtual conference while my family enjoyed fun in our cabin

The updated cabin interior was attractive and well done I really enjoyed having a fireplace They did a good job clearing the snow from the roads and kept our stairs and walkway well salted in spite of a winter storm that blew through

Very nice hotel with gracious staff Very clean suites, with thorough pandemic precautions Dog-friendly with a reasonable extra fee & I was told carpets are shampooed between guests

Reasonable price, easy parking, can walk to Whole Foods if you want to cook The free breakfast is good considering the challenges of a buffet with an indeterminate number of guests I loved the sausage and the chef was helpful & friendly! The dining room is huge and airy for those concerned about ventilation and maintaining distance I’ve stayed here twice and will again

Raquel

Very spacious rooms, all of which have full kitchenettes with refrigerator, stove and microwave Friendly, helpful staff We enjoyed the pool and hot tub immensely

Construction was happening during the day on some rooms, but all of the workers were very kind and considerate and it stopped well before 5 One of the workers helped me with my cart of stuff which I was trying to push while holding a toddler Will definitely stay here next time we’re at UVA

What a wonderful resort to celebrate at We came here for our anniversary and from the very beginning Elle set the tone She was so helpful with making us feel special

Jim was so friendly and always there to make sure we were taken care of Moira, Brittney, and Dirk were incredibly helpful with suggestions on how to spend our time They recommended the Spa which 10/10 massages! This is an amazing getaway with amazing views, fun activities, and even friendlier customer service!

Monique Lynch

The pet friendly rooms are all in basement level rooms in one of the least desirable buildings in the resort The rooms itself was comfortable but smelled of mold and was not cleaned very well The resort itself I thought seemed a bit dated and run down

The other thing I found concerning was none of the exterior doors to the bld we were staying in locked despite appearing to have fobs and literally every single street lamp and walkway light was burnt out so you are completely in the dark coming back to your room after dinner Overall a bit disappointing and definitely not worth the money we paid Lastly there were children screaming and running and playing in the hallway well past 10pm and all management did was take the $20 resort fee off our bill

the hotel is in a beautiful location and the lobby is sophisticated the indoor pool is in a very interesting place because when you walk in the front door of the hotel you can look down and see the indoor pool it’s beautifully designedthe restaurant is quite nice, really like the ambiance, the bartender is friendly and we ordered a few appetizers that were quite delicious

the rooms are okay not great and the bathroom is super super smallwe were on the 9th floor and the views are spectacular we lucked into a thunderstorm too so it was beautiful to see from that perspective so many mountains!

A+ For everyone at the front desk and at the restaurant in this lovely DoubleTree hotel Every employee was kind, friendly, and helpfulB+/A+ For their famous butter-made cookie

The cookie we first got on check-in was good, but dry It wasn’t as fresh as it could have been, and clearly had been under the heat lamp for too long But the next morning when we asked for an extra cookie for the road it was chewy, perfect, and yummyA- For the room, which was overall clean and luxuriousB+ For the food in the restaurant My salmon dinner was tasty My oatmeal in the morning was a bit watery, but the fresh blueberries on top were really goodC- For the coffee Yikes The coffee in the lobby was weak and watery The coffee in the restaurant was strong but had bad flavor The in-room coffee maker coffee was also mediocre DoubleTree needs to upgrade its coffee significantly This was not the quality that an upscale Hilton brand hotel should have Conrad Hilton would be turning over in his grave Some money needs to be spent by Hilton to fix and stop Conrad from spinning aroundA For the landscaping around this hotel, which is really nice

Tiarra Ebony

This an old building but decent for a short stay They have a nice dining area !I was double booked and looked to be charged incorrectly I called this morning to see if I could get a few questions answered

Paula needs customer service training or pulled from the front desk She’s very inhospitable She first proceeded to tell me to contact my bank without even looking to see when I checked outThen when I explain the situation she places me on hold then comes back with an attitude to get my name and reservation information Then she proceeds to tell me everything but what I asked for Which was , did the second reservation get canceled on their end Easy Question

The hosts Doc & Paula and their staff were welcoming and efficient The grounds and accommodations were lovely & it felt like stepping back in history for a very relaxing 3 nights The gourmet breakfasts were amazingly delicious

I chose to eat down stairs in the inn rather than in my room so I could have the company each morning of Colette and Rocky, their very friendly dogs I highly recommend this B&B!!! I look forward to another stay in the future!!!

Tom Long

Prospect Hill was an incredible experience The property is located about 15 miles outside of Charlottesville, Va The main house and detached buildings were constructed from 1699 onward

The cottage we stayed in was built around 1796 but had been completely updated and had all the modern conveniences but has the look , feel and character of something much older The owners were so friendly and open and you could sense the pride they had in their property Every morning we had breakfast delivered to our room The food was delicious All in all , a truly great experience We would highly recommend a visit to Prospect Hill!

Michele Wagner

This is a definite MUST for a relaxing & tranquil getaway Doc was very kind in getting us settled and showing us around the property The main house is just beautiful and cozy

We stayed in a stand alone cabin on the property and would only suggest that you ask if there are any rooms above you! Due to the time period and age of these cabin’s you can hear every step, toilet flush etc While I am not aware of the main house rooms, there was no TV in our cabin which wasn’t an issue, just an FYI Also, no night stands in our cabin next to the bed so made it just a little difficult to have coffee in the room The breakfast was amazing, fresh and hot! The property is safe and no doors are locked so you feel like you are in another world! Just lovely!

We make a yearly trip with friends to Charlottesville and always like to try a new B and B This year we stayed here and might have to break our rule and come back! Three of us are on a plant-based diet, and they made the best breakfast that any of us had ever experienced This place is clean, has excellent bedding and amenities, and the location is close to many great wineries

Highly recommend!

Sue & Bob Deobil

Bob and I have been staying at B & B’s for over 35 years We have seen and experienced it all! THIS B & B, however, is over the top! We stayed in the Madison Suite which was elegant and spacious No detail was overlooked with two TVs, heated towel racks, the very best of bedding, large bathroom, fresh flowers, port wine and specialty chocolates every night

The suite was modern and very accommodating We had three nights of bliss Kathy made the most wonderful gourmet breakfast each morning and she and David provided gracious hospitality We enjoyed our privacy with our own deck and a wonderful, next to nature environment The quietness added to the ambiance to enjoy the moment Thank you both! We will return!

We had a great weekend at Keswick The entire experience was great and we will likely visit again The hotel has just been renovated but more like rebuilt and it’s pristine and beautiful

The attention to detail in the planning and choice of materials and tradesmen used did not go unnoticed Beautiful workmanship and quality built into the structure will ensure it’s beauty for years to come This is not a hastily refurbished hotel Staff was wonderful Looking forward to the new spa

Five stars! this property will amaze you and beyond your any expectation From staffs at the front, marigold, and spotless clean room, my review cannot fully explain the level of satisfaction in my recent stay You know what! I quickly booked another stay in this May on the way back home

I am looking forward to seeing more warm weather in this May 🙂

Whatever you do DO NOT STAY AT THIS PLACE!!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED We were trying to celebrate a special occasion and that went out the window

First off the pool is not adults only They are renovating the club and therefore allow members to use the main hotel pool You will enjoy your pool stay with kids and there will be no chairs in the shade If you want to get a chair in the shade you will need to spend $250 to get a cabana Rooms were fine, nothing to write home about Breakfast included with the SLH program is three mini pastries This hotel should not be charging the rate it charges a night
