Lovely location It was conveniently located for our needs Unfortunately, it is not being lovingly cared for

Doors and walls show a great deal of damage presumably from housekeeping carts Speaking of housekeeping, there is none until checkout Be prepared to make your own bed and be sure to hang up your wet towel You’ll be using it again There was quite a bit of hair that was NOT ours in our shower Plus the shower door would not stay closed Breakfast is included and it’s about what you’d expect Employees “working” the breakfast were just standing and chatting together I never saw them do any actual work, but they had the nerve to set out a TIP basket

When I first checked in they were not sure if the room was ready and I had other things to do so I gave them an extra hour and was assured that the room would be ready upon my return When I got to the room there was no bedding on one of the beds and the dirty bedding was on the floor I called the front desk to have this fixed but had to leave immediately for other obligations

Upon my return I realized that there was food and trash on every one of the counters in the room and a used bar of soap in the shower with someone else’s hair in it Based off this I am confident that my room had not been cleaned at all after the last guest

A room was booked for one night for our out-of-town guest When the guest arrived, late evening, he did not have a room The confirmation was given to the clerk and manager

It didn’t matter They had double booked rooms and there were no rooms available!! Poor management skills Great alternate place found We will be using them instead for all of our out-of-town guests

I have been staying here every year ever since I started going to North Carolina back in 2018 I will not stay anywhere else unless I have no choice (Such as them having no rooms left) I am only giving 4 stars because the pool has been closed the past 2 years I went

Including this year I hope the pool opens back up next yearI also am only giving 4 stars because I called the hotel at noon and the nice lady told me that the room will be ready at 3 I got to the hotel at 3 and my room was not ready However, I was given a different room because I told the pleasant woman at the desk that I called at noon and was told a room would be ready, so that was very nice that they accommodated me like that

We had a king suite with plenty of space for a couple and child The comforter on the pull out sofa was dirty (brown smudges in addition to set in stains which I know won’t come out) but they didn’t have a clean one to give to us They didn’t have enough pillows for us so I guess we should bring our own

The breakfast was more like a grab and go but still sufficient

The stay went well

up until I woke up with a very stiff back I will not blame the bed bcuz it’s not 1st nor will it be the last time Anyway the pain kept me from checking out at 11amso I asked housekeeping (room phone didn’t work) if I could have more time One of housekeepers brought me luggage cartso finally got down to front desk and staff was sitting in lobby watching tv so pushed past her(still in major pain) thanking her for staying She noticed a pillow I brought from home and asked (very accusatory tone) if it belonged to them I politely said “No” then I’d gotten right through the 1st auto door when I remembered that I’d forgotten to tip housekeeping and it was a fee min after 12noon by this point, so I turned back (still hurting) and handed the woman in lobby/front desk a $20 tip and asked her to give it to housekeeping and I apologize for holding them up She very loudly and hatefully yelled ” I’m the one you’re supposed to notify after telling her that I would’ve if the phone workedand asked if “she wanted a $20 bill too” Her response was “Get your stupid a** out of here and don’t you come back ” Never called to report her but she definitely shouldn’t have a job in hospitality or with public Highly doubt I’ll return

The lady that worked the front desk Thursday March 24th at about 6pm was incredibly rude I was asking questions about the cash deposit that wasn’t mentioned when I paid and she was very rude and combative

when I asked to speak to a manager first she told me they weren’t there then when I asked if they could be called, called them and said isn’t it our policy they have to leave $100 deposit then hung up and just looked at mewhen telling her that I booked through a travel site and payment was non refundable she told me that’s not her problem and to leave if I couldn’t give get the moneyI have worked in customer service for over 10 years and this was by far the worst service I have ever receivedwhen I asked for her name she refused to give it to meshe just kept being rude to me the whole time I was there and telling me she didn’t care and to leave if I didn’t like the policy Having people like this working at any establishment is horrible for business and I will be telling all my colleagues to stay away from this placeI usually don’t leave lengthy reviews like this but the service was that bad that I felt it needed to be doneplease if you are traveling avoid this placeif they are employing people like this young lady they don’t deserve your hard earned moneythere are a ton of hotels around the area with better rooms for cheaper prices Also shower water barely got hot told the young lady about it she just shrugged her shoulders and said okhorrible attitude horrible personeveryone else I encountered there was fine but she was horrible and her manager is no better if she let’s her talk to customers like thatDO BETTER!!!!!

If you need a cheap place to stay it’s great, if you’re expecting outstanding hospitality I wouldn’t recommend it On my last day there I was informed by a very rude front desk clerk that I needed to leave and was banned from coming back there because I had to ask a guest to jump off my car battery Everybody has issues and the fact we had stayed there without incident many times seemed to not matter at all

The guest that helped me seemed more than willing To the clerk who spoke to me so rudelytry another job not working with the public

I’ve lived at this hotel for two months now Great hospitality, clean rooms, beds sheets are quality Rooms have a full fridge and a dishwasher which is great for long stays like I did

I always felt safe, great food options around the hotel Staff were amazing! I became friends with couple of them Only improvement they could do is when they repave the parking lot… to make the parking spaces bigger 🙈 it was always a tight squeeze, and most people don’t know how to park

Nikki D

We stayed here for approximately 100 nights from November to March 2022 We spent Thanksgiving and Christmas there while waiting for our new house to be finished and it was just wonderful The staff are very friendly and helpful, big shout out to Lindsey and Bobbi!! The breakfast every morning was great, my only complaint is they need more items with bacon! lol The rooms were very spacious and clean

Beds super comfortable They have a nice lounge area in the lobby with 24/7 free coffee, tea etc The gym is very nice and the free laundry was great! Thanks for making us feel at home!

Kayla Hylton

The room was very clean, and very large! It has almost a full kitchen with everything you need, and a couch It was super easy using the app for the check in/out and for the room key There were so many options for breakfast

The employees were nice and helpful It is in a good location right off of 85 There was no noise coming from other rooms And the sheets are the best ever!! My room contols didnt work from my phone for some reason, but that was my only issue Overall great experience!

I have stayed in older hotels that were clean This one is not clean at all First of all we were in a pet room but we had no pets

The room smelled horrid and was scratched and chewed knee high all around the room With the room looking as it did I pull off the top comforter and did not use it When doing so, I discovered several pet hairs and and under pillows human hairs Disgusting! Where the sheets changed or beds just madeThe pillow was lumpy and old, stained in ways that should not be used in a hotel 😫 I tried to shower and the tub did not drain, filling up putting me standing in 3 inches of my dirty bath water Our a/c unit was falling apart and someone stole the TV remote batteries When walking around the grounds it appeared as if the hotel was closed The pool was drained and concrete surrounding was busting up Their was bagged trash lining the back rooms and boarded up windows The drink machines did not workThis was the worst hotel experience I have encountered PLEASE THINK TWICE BEFORE BOOKING ONLINE RIDE AND LOOK AT A ROOM BEFORE WASTING YOUR MONEY WE REALLY WISH WE WOULD HAVE!

I stayed here once before and the rooms were nice However I booked and reserved a room for one night and paid for it with my debit card When I go to the desk the clerk refused to give me a room without me paying a $100 deposit

I tried to explain to the clerk that I have already paid and reserved the room online that they never said anything about a deposit on the website He still refused then I had to play hell and tag your it on the phone to finally get my money refunded back to my card I enjoy the motel just not that snotty clerk

Nicole Demery

Let me start by saying the beds are VERY comfortable, the room was clean, & the water was super hot That’s the best part of our stay The service was friendly

We didn’t interact much We didn’t care to try the breakfast so I went comment on how good or nasty it was The biggest problem the smells The first floor ALWAYS had a very loud odor Either it smells like some animal took a dump while walking down the hall; or it smells like a Marijuana shop The smell was so strong it was unbelievable Huge reason I would find another place to stay

Ceceila Query

Was refused service The man wouldn’t even speak to us He didn’t speak English

He wanted an outrageous deposit for the room Honestly it smelled like burnt plastic Would not be surprised if it was a cover business for drugs It was an awful experience By the looks of the lobby I had second thoughts of staying there before the man couldn’t speak to us It was just terrible So don’t stay here

This is a large park split into multiple sections It is very green with lots of trees and many of the sites are shaded Sites are mostly gravel but with grass or ground cover between

Some of the sites are quite wide and deep You definitely feel like you are in a forest There is a small lake in the park and common areas that provide spaces for a lot of activities although we were not here long enough to really explore them Portions of the park are a bit hilly The section we were in was that way and some of the sites seem quite sloped and may be difficult to level There is a new section of the park that has large flat sites with less tree cover We liked that better than the section we were in We stayed in a RV but there are also cabins for rent by the lake There is a main gate to the park so security is good Hookups were in a good location AT&T and Verizon were both good If you get a good site this could be a nice place to spend a week or two

Jim L

We really enjoyed this park during out two week stay The park is larger than most Thousand Trails and is great for walking in the park or on the surrounding trails The site was assigned, but we were happy with our site

Every one of the workers I came in contact with seemed to enjoy what they were doing and it is one of the cleanest Thousand Trails we have visited There are quite a few long term sites, but they were all very well maintained and clean as if they site owners took pride in their space They are also undergoing a significant expansion and were working hard to get the new section open Finally, you can see a Cell Tower from the park and ATT and Verizon were blazing fast

Patsy Lawless

Can you give negative stars? The two ladies that were cleaning the cabins were the friendliest and most helpful all weekendRally and on site coordination apparently did not occur So many mistakes and mishaps

Renal for the day of a pavilion that we had to hunt down tables and chairs to use and return ourselves plus get someone to clean Then to have the local “golf cart warriors” to try and run us out of the pavilion Some of our family felt pretty threatened and we’re in fear of this groupI absolutely do not recommend this location unless you are going to become a “frequent” and local visitor as anyone else gets a horrible treatment This from our entire family, 10 cabins and 2 campsite worth of people Very disappointed with our Elite membership on this
