We arrived a little late to check in and only needed to stay one night for a work training and the staff was super attentive and friendlyCommunication was amazing about parking and I really loved that the gates are closed, with keys to get in and out as we needThe room was spotless and cute

Everything is clean, friendly staff Coffee in the morning and overall a wonderful stay!I will be recommending this location and we will be sure to reserve rooms here, next time we are in the area It’s a short distance to Long Beach and even walking distance there are a few restaurants and convenience stores

Amy

My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel and absolutely loved it It felt like our lil apartment The owners opened the gate for us for the parking when we got in at 3am, which we were so grateful for

John was also amazing and provided excellent customer service by shipping my boyfriend’s phone charger we left behind to Vegas He went out of his way to text me the confirmation # We will definitely stay here at this beautiful hotel again Great customer service experience and clean room I would definitely reccomend this place to everyone I also loved the different color doors Thank you so much!

Martin Mendoza

Very good inn for the price The rooms are small but are kept really clean They close the parking gate at 10PM so you can’t park inside if you come after that, there’s plenty of parking out on the street

The location is really good as well, you’re about a 10 minute drive from downtown Long Beach and about a 15 minute drive to Ports O’ Call

I WOULD GIVE NEGATIVE STARS IF I COULD!!! DECEPTIVE ADVERTISING/LISTING COSTS ME MONEY, TIME, AND SUFFERING! THE FRONT DESK CLERK CONTRADICTED HIMSELF THE FRONT DESK CLERK DOES NOT CARE, IS COMBATIVE, AND IS RUDE IT WAS A TRAUMATIZING EXPERIENCE

My boyfriend booked a room for us to celebrate valentine’s day early This is because we are long distance and I work on that day He accidentally booked this hotel My Dad provides wheels because I don’t drive, and he doesn’t have a car The front desk clerk asked for a license plate and my boyfriend asked if he needed our license plate My boyfriend told the front desk clerk he would have us over for a few hours The front desk clerk said he didn’t have a problem with it But then when we got to the hotel room, he called the phone THREATENING TO KICK BOTH US AND MY BOYFRIEND OUT HE SAID HE WOULD KICK US ALL OUT IF WE DID NOT LEAVE IN FIVE MINUTES HE CITED A HOTEL POLICY OF NO VISITORS/GUESTS! THIS WASN’T DISCLOSED UNTIL WE APPROACHED THE HOTEL ROOM! HE DID NOT LET MY BOYFRIEND KNOW OF THIS UPON CHECK-IN IT IS NOT DISCLOSED ON THE WEBSITE EITHER He gaslit my boyfriend when confronted The confrontation was heated, and the front desk clerk was escalating it Luckily, the front desk clerk offered a refund which my boyfriend did receive We stayed in a different hotel, but the traumatizing experience left us shook up the whole night We are now having to book a different hotel this weekend to spend some quality, enjoyable time together DO NOT GIVE THIS HOTEL YOUR BUSINESS!

A short drive from LAX on the Pacific Coast Highway and free parking make this hotel perfect for those arriving in Southern California later in the evening The rooms are simple, but clean Walking distance to the ocean

The Boy and the Bear Coffee Shop is a fantastic coffee roaster nearby if you want to drive and grab a quick coffee for your walk The attached Thai restaurant is so good, especially the BBQ Chicken Only drawback is some road noise A wonderful find!

A

We got the Deluxe King Room The room is small, but it worked out well for the two of us The bedding was clean & very comfortable

As for the location, it was perfect Walking distance to Redondo Beach and about 25 minutes to LAX The free parking was a plus and it was hassle free! We brought along two cars Though, they do only offer one free parking space per room, there is free parking on the side of the road Great place to stay when on a budget!

Will never book again, their lobby closes at 11pm, and when we tried to call to explain we’d be late, because of flight delays, it was always busy, couldn’t even leave a message, was charged @ mid night for cancellation, when we tried to call again in the morning at 9 when they open, it would still give us the busy line tone, didn’t hear from them until 11 am, which by then we had booked another hotel Terrible service, DO NOT RECOMMEND

Hema M

The worst place I have ever stayed in The room was extremely tiny, don’t be fooled by the pictures The bed was very dirty and had stains all over, and the pillows had brown things on them that looked as either blood or something worse

I don’t recommend this place Also bed bugs My whole body was itching all night and i couldn’t sleep They refused to change my room or even change the sheets, even after showing them the brown stains Their excuse, the lady that cleans the rooms and changes the sheets is not here and won’t be back until tomorrow and all other rooms are taken even though the parking lot was half full I am convinced the good reviews here are fake

WONDERFUL STAY!!! It took me a very long time to choose a place to stay for my solo trip to California Based on views and price, Hi View was the top choice The staff was amazing and kind ! They allowed for a late check out and whenever I needed anything, they ensured I got it ! I stayed for 7 days and I had such a pleasant stay

The bathroom is newly renovated and I loved the large mirror with great lighting It is not run down at all, the rooms are spacious and even had a couch in it ! Clean, spacious , great location, great staff, I can not say enough good things! Also only a 15 minute walk straight to the beach and a 15 minute walk to Target ! I am definitely staying here again!

I love this Travelodge! It’s in the perfect location right on PCH! Not far from anything! Walking distance to a bunch of fast food restaurants and shopping centers! The rooms are big, comfy & cute! The price is reasonable considering the price for everything now a days! Friendly staff! There’s a washer and dryer on site too! The one thing I don’t like is that they have a NO PETS ALLOWED policy! But there’s no deposit when you check in so that’s a plus! Small parking lot! Overall I give this hotel a 4 star rating!

We spent one night at this hotelPros – very friendly staff; great location for what we needed to be on the next morning Sizable bedroom, and the shower had a good water pressure

Cons – we requested a non-smoking room, which is I believe next to a smoking room I had to hold my breath when passing that room Pretty noisy from the vehicles passing by at night

Tiffany Francis

First thing their official site lists is “24 hour reception desk” and it couldn’t more wrong This hotel is not for you if you’re a relatively light sleeper You hear the main road all night and anyone outside

One night someone had locked their little dog in a room and barked ALL NIGHT I tried calling the front desk about 3am and several more times until a little 4:30am to see if they could call the room or the occupant to solve the problem They never answered They also weren’t around at 6am for me to check out to make my flight The guy at the front was friendly, but when you really needed assistance, it wasn’t there at “24 hrs” like the wyndham official statesI heard several other occupants go outside the night of the dog barking to investigate It was the worst night sleep everRooms were ok, pillows were lumpy and small square shape Bathroom is huge compared the over all room Floors were DIRTY My feet were covered in black grime following a shower Sink was missing a plug so anything could have fallen down in the holeLocation on the other hand, is decent Along Pacific Coast highway and lots of eateries and shops up the road

CVS is next door for any urgent needs!Rooms are spacious and clean They are dated but very well maintained I’m fussy about looking at corners for dust and I haven’t spotted dusty corners yetWe’re traveling with two small kids and the staff have been very accommodating There’s a park right across for the kids too (a great suggestion from one of the staff!)Breakfast was a wonderful start to the day Good variety and another big bonus when travelling with kiddos

Our Uncle made a reservation for this hotel with his reward points as he is a Best Western reward member We received an email with vouchers We called the hotel to make sure they had our reservation and were confirmed by the person answering the phone and sent an email with the confirmation number on it

We were driving from Southern California we arrived about 1:45am When my husband went in to check in he was told they were getting ready to do night audit and they would be with him in about 15 minutes He came out to the car and went right back in and was told oh we’re ready for you now He gave the gentleman his reservation and vouchers gentlemen said the voucher numbers had been difficult as it was in the middle of the night we offered to pay for the room outright and were told there were no rooms available How is that possible when we had a room reserved in our name Whether or not it was by voucher or by S paying cash the room should have been available Guy was very rude to my husband and we will never stay at this hotel We were forced to try to find a hotel at 2 o’clock in the morning and after have been confirmed that we had rooms at this hotel

The beds are the absolute worse! The bed is extremely hard, you can feel every spring digging into your back, makes the loudest noise with every move! It was hard to stay asleep when you u consciously shift in your sleep If you have back problems this will definitely make you sufferI advised the staff serval times and even 1 week ahead of time

I would require a 1st floor room with immediate access to outside since I have trouble with stairs due to an injury When it was time to check in they said I had to go a second floor room, that had no immediate access to outside for fresh air When I went to complain because it’s difficult and painful to go up and down stairs, they brushed me off with the absolute worst customer service No sorrys just shrugs and oh wells Even got some attitude when I complain that I kept checking in to make sure they know I needed an outside room being on the first floor, can you believe that?!They have a tiny little trash can for their kitchen which is ridiculous since you can fit anything in it especially when you have an entire kitchen The cooking ware looks very run downAlso I find it very awkward and weird how the vents are so conveniently facing the bed, which I advised y’all checking before doing anythingAlso the room we were in had this huge window that faces the living room and part of the bedroom And the ONLY curtain u can close was a SHEER SEE THRU curtain!!!!!! Talk about not being able to walk comfortably thru the room without the possibility of someone looking inside! It was beyond stupid and lack of privacy!I found it very inconvenient and weird how the card you use to open your room can be deactivated if accidentally brushed against your phoneI’m also shocked there was no jacuzzi, very disappointedAlso found yellow stains on our white bed It looked fresh and it made me feel disgustedTheir breakfast was not appetizing, if you take the risk of staying here , you will see what I mean when you go down to breakfastOverall I don’t recommend coming here Sticking with the resident inn by Marriott As someone who is well traveled, this is not the place

Very close to Redondo Beach, restaurants, drug stores, etc Staff was very friendly Our room was clean and cutely decorated with beach theme

Good size fridge and microwave included There was a cold filtered water station in the lobby to fill your water bottles The continental breakfast exceeded my expectations waffles (flavored changed daily), scrambled eggs, sausage, breakfast potatoes, coffee, tea, juice, fresh fruit, bagles, hard boiled eggs in other words you will be full for your day adventure! Parking was free, easy and included some covered spots

Deanna Maria

The manager refused to help and purposely ran off after their system DOUBLE CHARGED our family’s card account for a PREVIOUS date of service of a former stay He left his poor employee to handle the issue on her own and then had the NERVE to come back the next day and call us liars to our bank (even though the employee confirmed it)… We DO NOT RECOMMEND this business because of the lack of accountability and UNPROFESSIONALISM of their supervisors If I didn’t complain urgently enough, they would’ve let us sleep on the street with our newborn!!

Room was larger than expected and the beds were comfortable it’s an older property but so close to EVERYTHING!! highly recommend Ocean Cafe (40’s diner) had the lemon ricotta pancakes that were on the special Y

U M!!! Mich better than the muffin coffee and yogurt the hotel offers Hot tub was great but it was a little dirty and the sign regarding diarrhea wasn’t very comforting either We will be back

The hotel is not new, but it is well maintained, and clean The rooms are nice and spacious, and some have small balconies that you can see the ocean Refrigerator in the room, and kurig coffee maker, but if you want use of the hotels single microwave, you have to go to the lobby ( weird )

They have a small exercise room, but the treadmill and bike were both out of order, so it is basically a rack of dumbbells They offer breakfast, but are still using COVID as a excuse to get out of serving it It’s an ok place to stay, but it’s just a room at this point No extras It was $140 a night, and not far from the water 20-30 minute walk, or a 3 minute car ride Honestly, it’s about 3 1/2 stars (Could have been higher, but no breakfast, no microwave in room, and the exercise equipment broken)

darren s

Curtains were torn up, room smelled of mildew and the staff was less than “worst service ever” Totally ruined the Quality Inn name for us and will never use this hotel line again after our experience here, despite having been loyal guests for years Spend double and go down the street to anywhere else or you’ll be regretting your whole vacation like it did to ours

Then they wanted to charge a surprise parking fee for using their facility while we were paying guest And it doesn’t end there They kept our deposit claiming a smoking fee when we never smoked on the property at all They are only interested in stealing your money here, from check-in to check-out

I didn’t lodge here My late parents’ friend visiting from Alabama stayed at the hotel She loved it

We had a late dinner in the dining room! It was great and the service was top-notch! I love the DoubleTree hotels We used them for Continuing Medical Education courses that were offered by my previous employer They live up to the highest of standards If you desire the best accommodations and excellent service you’ve come to the right place Also, they have a very nice sports barlots of great seating and plenty of televisions for every sport you could possibly desire! They have so many excellent accommodations for receptions and other special gatherings Be sure to include them as a possible venue when planning an event

My stay was awesome besides I wasn’t offered any of the complimentary items during the checking in process A mention of a breakfast ticket would of save me the embarrassment of going back to my room to get my wallet During my 5 day stay I had to request towels twice on my fourth day

To any future guest it’s only a reminder to acquire these amenities as well as dry cleaning if necessary My stay was very quiet for as busy as this hotel gets, to explain why I gave it ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Cinemagirl9189

I stayed at the Doubletree in Carson, CA from 5/20-5/22 and it was a good experience The front desk hostess was very professional and courteous

My room was clean and comfortable-no signs of any critters I had the $20 breakfast buffet and the staff was incredible and the food was good! My only qualm was that my waffles were cold The coffee was good I liked the location, very close to the South Bay Pavilion Mall and other establishments My reasons for giving this hotel 4/5 stars is that it is a bit dated and that I didn’t appreciate the two young ladies behaving badly and immaturely while I was at the front desk checking in This gives the hotel a bad look for the staff I assume these two young ladies were housekeepers

Been here a few times now so safe to say I can write a reviewNever had a single issue with the rooms here or the staffThe only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars ill get into

The pool area always has a sewage smell It’s really unsettlingAnd that’s the reason for only 4 star But is the pool and jacuzzi clean? yesParking is not an issue Plenty of it Oddly this hotel is EXTREMELY QUIETYou’ll be able to sleep in without any boat noise or dock noise at all It’s actually quite awesomeThe food in the hotel isn’t to bad either I’ve had quite a few things at this hotel and never had an issueBut let me go on about how the staff has really made my stays greatThey always let me park my car in front of the door and leave it there overnight ( if I bring an exotic car ) they’ve always been very professional and helpful with baggage as well they go out of their way to make sure your stay is a good one And to me, that will bring me backSo would I recommend this hotel? Most definitelyIt’s right on the water in the harbor/docks It’s SUPER quiet and the staff will go out of their way to make sure your stay is goodBe sure to checkout the happy hour of course!

Suanne Tumaquip

I am only giving this place a 3 star because of the location and their gym amenities The area is cool and has a nice walkway around the port and is also a good running path Their gym has good basic amenities that will get the job done

Other than that, their rooms was basic and old It definitely needs renovation including their hallways We ate one night for dinner at the restaurant in the hotel and we waited for some time for our food to arrive Our waiter was slow, not that attentive, and not that nice And every time we pass by the kitchen area it had a weird and bad odor coming out from the area This hotel needs to upgrade their rooms, hallways, and their restaurant including their menu

Kelsey Navarro

EDIT: management did call and seemed sincerely apologetic We will give the hotel another stay and update the reviewThe hotel is in an awesome location

The staff was friendly upon arrival and the process was quick We booked a marina facing room ( rm 239) My review is for the room itself We paid around 300~ ( including 15$ for one night of self parking) The head boards on both beds were stained a weird yellow color on multiple spots The walls had stains/ splatter marks everywhere The TV was not working consistently The bathroom had dead bugs splattered on the roof and the carpet was stained brown in the high traffic areas This room did not meet our expectations, but they were booked and we couldn’t “switch”The restaurant was good, but a bit pricey We did not visit the pool, since we were only there one nightI think we would stay one more time to see if we had the unlucky room (haha), but I don’t think the room was worth how much we paid

This place has shown so much improvement since I first started to go on day trips and mini vacations I haven’t been to this motel in 10 years, I really missed out on a lotThe rooms are clean and neat

It’s a perfect stop for a little weekend get awayThe location is perfect, with not a lot of foot traffic around the area There are plenty of late night spots to eat in its vicinity ( including a new Chick-fil-A)Its only 15 minutes away from Redondo Beach PierVery secure parking and a sense of safety This is a very very good motel for weekend TravelersProbably not meant for large families but for a romantic beach adventure, or a small family fun weekend, it’s perfect

Haley Hunsucker

I stayed here in November of 2021 It was my first time in California, and it was nice to have pleasant staff and a clean room to welcome me The owner was very nice; we arrived around 11pm and he told us restaurants that we could walk to

The next day, our toilet wouldn’t flush or fill up The owner came up and fixed it that day The location was quiet and I felt safe Overall, I enjoyed my stay, and I would stay there again

Bulent Kasman

It’s an average motel Seems like a safe neighborhood Bed is very uncomfortable

Feels like sleeping on a box spring Refrigerator was not working in my room I wouldn’t recommend this motel for staying more than one or two nights But the options are limited in this areaParking is limited There are quite a few dining options in walking distance A short drive to grocery stores and to the beach

We found this gem of a place because our flight got cancelled at LAX at 11 pm and Bluestem was the only hotel that had open spots that night We were lucky enough to snatch their last room Upon arrival the check in was super fast and easy and we were offered complementary snacks and drinks to help cheer us up!The place is lovely, very artistic ambiance and atmosphere

There is a terrace that is accessible to guests 24/7 which is warmed up by fire and cooled down by a beautiful water fountain during the dayThe rooms were clean and very cozy They have everything you need The only thing that could use a little improvement is the wifi speed The rooms have coffee/tea and you have access to a microwave in the lobbyLast but not the least, the staff were wonderful Can’t say enough about how kind and accommodating they were I highly recommend this place to everyone

Mikayla Cooley

Great hotel for the price Customer service was amazing Parking was a bit hard on weekends but we always figured it out

The stalls are just super tiny The rooms were very clean My socks and feet did get dirty walking around the room so I recommend them mopping daily or for the hotel to leave swifter sweepers in the rooms for guests Definitely recommend it for anyone wanting to stay somewhere clean and safe and not pay a fortune

Heather Benedict

A boutique hotel with exceptional service, comfortable and clean rooms, free parking, free coffee, and exceptionally cordial and accommodating staff Comfortable, professional, 5 stars! This review comes from a former Four Seasons Hotel front desk agent, would say you get a good bang for your buck here, 5 star service for a fraction of the price!

This was an upscale hotel which seemed to be nicer than the area it was in The staff was attentive and very friendly The facility was young and in top condition

The beds were full size – queens would be much betterThey had clear security measures in place everywhere While I appreciate them keeping me safe, it made me think that the measures might be necessary and therefore I wasn’t as relaxed as I wanted to beWe stayed here for proximity to LAX for a morning flight and we would be happy to do so again

The rely is not true I did not receive 20% off for my inconvenience My card was charged $454

00 for 2 nights I will post receipts if you post another misleading rely Upon my 2 day visit to the holiday Inn I was put in a room with a toilet that went out I was informed the hotel was sold out I had to remain in the room (GROSS) I did remain because checkout was at 11 am I ask for a credit for my inconvenience I was told a manager would have to contact me While checking out, I asked again and the staff spoke loudly you want a discount I found that rather ignorant and felt uncomfortable I was told I would get 20% off and it never happened Bottomline, I never received a credit and my $5000 hold was never removed from my credit card The staff act like they don’t understand English I don’t recommend this location

Hotel is kind like not close to anything walkable and the restaurant has limited hours Just a “bulk hotel” with lots and lots of people but, the rooms are quiet Beds were comfy, great size pool and jacuzzi

Breakfast: you’ll probably end up paying for it so I’ll recommend to go somewhere else for that 4 stars based on the restaurant hours and that they’ve wanted to charge me for breakfast (you have to order whst you want so you better have an extra 20 minutes under your belt)
