We stayed just for a night, but this place would be great for an extended business of family stay Rooms are large with lots of amenities Way more storage than most places

Breakfast is typical with plenty of choices The pool is indoors, and the workout area is a good size I would go back here and spend more time My only complaint was the noisy AC system

Claire WithLove

I have stayed at Townplace Suites twice now for about 5 days at a time The rooms have been clean and quiet They have a full kitchen – 2 burner stove, microwave, small coffee pot, full fridge and freezer, dishwasher, sink, pans, plates, utensils, paper towels, cloth towel, dish soap

Bathroom has a smaller sink Sofa, table under the desk that can be used as an eating/working area, footstoolIndoor swimming pool and hot tub although the jets were not working last visitCheck-in is at Springhill Suites in the same parking lot where the bar and breakfast is No maid service unless your stay is 4 days or longer where you can leave a tag outside your door with request for towels, etc You can get more coffee/creamer at the front deskParking is free If the lot in the front is full, another lot is behind the Springhill Suites and there is a garageLoved:- Good free breakfast with two hot sandwich/quiche choices, oatmeal, chocolate chip scone, breakfast dessert breads, plus toast, cereal, good coffee!- Convenience: I-5 exit, grocery, a few restaurants, shopping mall in short driving distance- Safety: As a woman traveling on her own, I feel safe there walking from my car and in my room- Bar in Springhill Suites had good food for good prices My hamburger with fries was $10 Menu at the front desk or bar Other options: Garden burger, chicken caeser salad, turkey BLT croissant, BBQ pork sliders, chicken wings, chicken tacos, tomato margarita flat bread pizza, etc all under $16 You can take it eat it there, take back to your room, or eat outside at the tables in front of the hotels- I ask for a room facing the forest – It is like living in a tree house with more privacy than the rooms facing the parking lotThings to Consider:- You must have a car to go anywhere there is nothing in walking distance It is about 32 miles/10 minutes to downtown Bellingham Fairhaven was nicer for shopping and walking around – 84 miles/14 minutes- Part of the Marriott Bonvoy chain of hotels- I have been in the King Studio and in the One Bedroom Suite The Studio did not have much room between the sofa, pull over table from the desk, and bed – not a lot of walking room around the room It felt cramped, but it was fine for one or two people I was able to get this room using Marriott pointsThe Suite was open, spacious with more walking room between the bed and the sofa and table I had been upgraded to this room once using pointsBoth have sofa beds, but the studio would feel very confining if you had three or four people- Since the sofas are sofa beds, I found the cushions to be hard and not too comfortable to sit on for long periods in the evening It could be the studio had an older sofa, since I don’t remember it being as uncomfortable in the suite

I don’t have anything negative to say about this hotel The front desk staff were all very friendly and helpful, the room was clean, well appointed and comfortable, and the complimentary hot breakfast was tasty with plenty of options However, the best part was the pool, spa, steam room and sauna

Talk about a fantastic way to unwind! The entire pool area was immaculate and comfortable I will definitely be recommending this hotel to visiting friends and family

Deeann Puffert

The hotel was clean and the rooms large The bathroom included a separate bathtub and shower The breakfast was delicious

Perhaps most importantly the staff were thoughtful and kind during a time of extreme stress for our family I had to extend our stay twice and each time they did so with no complaint always checking to see if we needed anythingHighly recommend this property

Deb Biladeau

King Executive Suite, Fourth FloorPros: Excellent large bathroom (tub and shower!), clean, friendly staff, includes breakfast and free parking Amenities like pool and sauna Central in town and close to shopping

Tazo herbal teas around the clock in the breakfast room!Cons: No daily room housekeeping We stayed for 3 nights and no one came to the room to take out the trash, change towels or make/change the bed (I did request extra towels and they were brought to the door and once left outside the door) For the price and reputation, housekeeping should be included The lukewarm classic breakfast I had each day (eggs, sausage, potatoes) could be kept warmer or made in smaller batches so it’s hot when you receive itOverall: Good stay, just a few things that would have made it excellent

Matthew Paul Thompson Jr (Swil-Labe)

I loved the room that I got for a few nights and a pretty fair price The person at the front desk was very nice and polite And the rooms were very clean and modern

The location is ideal for travelers because it is not too far from the airport and right next to the freeway, and has many shopping locations along with restaurants and fastfood establishments very close along with a few coffee shops that are fairly close

Dawn Kirkham

It appears homeless people stay and congregate at this hotel We did not want to sit outside for this reason Very bad

It was noisy and was disturbed by a dog barking Smelly and dirty in the hotel although the room itself was clean I scheduled the shuttle to the airport and it arrived 15 minutes late Apparently my request never was recorded Will not stay here again

mike banks

Staff was polite but did not follow through on resolving concerns (house cleaning)when they were brought up Once i addressed this with management the manager became very defensive, continued to interrupt and not listen to my concerns Not wanting to argue with her i just left

I then called the hilton rewards desk to see if the could address my concerns Hilton listened to my concerns and advised they would address them with the hotel The next day i called hilton to follow up and they informed me the same hotel manager said the issue had been resolved and filed a complaint against me stating i was a difficult guest Over 30 days at the hotel and not one negative interaction with the staff, after the long stay simply asked to have a problem addressed, and the hotels response is to Complain about the guest instead of addressing the a simply issue Traveler be cautious of this location

Day 1 of the 3 we were told we could only enjoy continental breakfast Day 2 they served the eggs, sausage, and oatmeal Day 3 we chose to eat somewhere else for breakfast outside of the establishment

The breakfast at the hotel was bland and watered down The hotel is an older establishment and it shows The door to our room sounded like an old screen door The neighbor above us walked with a heavy foot the whole time A guest woke us up on night two crying and yelling in the hallway just before 3 am The microwave video in our room shows this microwave is just about to go out The beds were very comfortable and we loved the amount of pillows we were given The room was a descent size The bathroom was extremely small as well as the closet On day 3 I was almost ran over by a guest as he was sprinting down the hallway Because someone broke into his car in the morning hours around 7:30 am in daylight He chased the guy all the way down the parking lot until finally catching him And grabbing him The hotel staff was good to us the whole time we were there And there is a cute little creek right behind the main hotel This hotel is broken up into buildings/units and separated It is conveniently located to guide meridian And many local amenities The hotel staff did call us Because my mom had left an outfit That was great customer service in my book

Stephanie Kemble

Came here specifically for the pool and hot tub, which were both out of service We visited during an 80 degree weekend and it looked like the pool had been broken for quite some time – the hot tub was the sort of green you’d expect in a salad The room was worn but the bed was comfortable

Service was fine, except when we asked for additional pillows and all they had were decorative pillows – I know the hotel wasn’t full, so I don’t know what that was about This place is fine if you’re just looking for a place to sleep – but if you want a vacation experience, look elsewhere

M

The staff was flexible with us during check-in The room was quiet, clean, and comfortable, though the bathroom could have used a vacuuming to pick up small stuff on the floor The exterior doors on our building were locked for most of the day, and we didn’t feel unsafe

There were not many people loitering around outside at all compared to other buildings in the area The breakfast was nice, and the lady who made it was very friendly

This is the epitome of great service at this hotel The front desk lady, Abby, is very patient, professional and helpful she got us checked in and out without a hitch

The house man, Mitchell, was more the accommodating After he helped an older woman get heavy stuff from her car and took it to her room, he then helped us with every request we had and did it quickly, quietly and very professionally while keeping us laughing This place makes you feel cared about 10 out of 10 would recommend

Dena Marie Monticone

The hotel itself seemed lovely But since I was forced to leave soon after I checked in, I’m giving 1 starThe staff: Not at all lovely

In a friendly manner, I told the nightly staffer that I would like to talk to the manager in the morning She became disgruntled and told me I was no longer welcome to stay there She asked some sort of large body guard man to physically remove me He almost touched me even though I followed her wishes and was walking to my room to retrieve my stuff to leaveThe next morning, I told the morning staff that I would like to speak to the manager They told me that they were instructed about how to handle me and how my behavior the night before was “unacceptable” Clearly, they were misinformed about my behavior — as was the manager I was the one that was potentially made homeless that night over a few calmly spoken words — seems to me that the unacceptable behavior did not stem from me I told them I still would like to speak to the manager so that the manager could actually get my viewpoint on the events If they thought that my behavior was unacceptable, then they also were not going to be able to help me — as they had a false idea of the previous night’s events I tried to tell them that They would not listen to me They threatened to call the cops on me They called the cops on meWhat’s the point in even having a manager? Why can’t those people talk to me normally? A few words from me and they get mad? I just wanted to reach out to the manager to have a conversation and get some questions answered

Kia Latifi

Our first time at La Quinta and experienced the friendliest service from over the phone booking to front desk and room services Stephanie was particularly polite and helpfulVery clean hotel with ample parking, wide breakfast options, and easy access to everything: food, fuel, you name it

Thanks guys We will be back

The room was amply sized and well appointed The fireplace makes it very cozy I only wish the rooms were facing the ocean instead of the parking lot and the resort across the street

We walked along the bay front paved walkway The tide was out We were visiting inlaws, and my brother in law was catching his limit in clams every day!

Jason Grant

Great place to stay, rooms are clean and bright and large Our king-size bed was next level comfortable The rooms were very noise free and didn’t hear any noises from other guests while in room at all

The indoor outdoor pool is a cool feature you don’t often see Bayleigh at the front does was exceptional at getting us checked in fast and was super charming The two part check in is to get you to go for the Sales presentations, don’t be afraid to say no We always do and it’s no big deal

Charlie Johnson

They love to harass you with their sales pitch every time you try and check in Also left notes on the door every day like a toxic ex I know it’s their job so now shade to the individuals but come on dudes let us enjoy our vacation

Room was nice enough and the bed was super comfortable Employees were nice Kinda weird you have to take out your own trash at a hotel but that’s a pretty privileged complaint Just don’t harass your customers and your 90s decor will hold up well

Very clean, rooms very spacious, and I cannot say enough great things about the service! Absolutely remarkable staff, beyond professional The rooms were truly wonderful Well maintained and there was plenty of room to sleep

Sofa bed was comfortable and queen beds were large enough for 2 people to sleep on comfortably Can log-in to online streaming services from TV There was a separate desk to work on Bathroom split into 2, convenient for familiesBreakfast was remarkable as well! Delicious quiche and pastriesAbsolutely will stop here again when traveling from Canada to Seattle!

Dayne Cody

We needed a good, clean place to stay after we flew in late and couldn’t get home till the next day This was totally that The room was nice and big and was clean

Unfortunately, I had some very loud neighbors who thought being very loud at 2am on a Monday was fine, but that’s not on the hotel The continental breakfast left much to be desired; it had some bagels and oatmeal, but when we went through not really anything in the way of hot food, we have def had much better That said, all in all, if I needed a place in Bellingham, I would stay here again

Makayla Whitespeare

Really neat hotel! Large rooms, great breakfast options, they offer free guest wifi, a workout room, free on-site laundry room, have a nice swimming pool that has accessible handicap pool and hot tub chairs There is a large grill outside that is free for guests to utilize to cook food on and it’s been great! The tiny fridge isn’t super loud to listen to at night and the heater works very efficiently Plenty of storage in room

Parking garage under the hotel, as well as outside parking Extremely convenient location Directly across from an urgent care, down the road from Fred Meyer, and only 4 minutes from the airport 1 minute to the freeway 10 minutes to some great beach spots for finding oysters and neat shells There is an elevator from the parking garage all the way to the 5th and top floor Happy sleeping!

A friend and I needed a quick place to lay our heads when our camping plans changed We also needed a pet friendly hotel as my dog was with us Heliotrope was just what we needed

Clean, thoughtfully renovated and pet friendly! Love the little dog run so there’s an off-leash option to let your dog potty Free tea/coffee in the reception area was a nice touch Loved the easy checkout process (just leave blinds open) Staff were super warm, friendly & helpful Location was great, super walkable/bikeable They have a growler in the room you can borrow and fill at a nearby brewery which was a nice touch Would love to come back during nicer weather and take advantage of the lawn & fire pit outdoor spacePerfect for what we needed and I would definitely stay again!

maynard garritty

Great vibes abound here The property is fun to chill at The picnic table in the sun out front is a lovely place to sip morning coffee

Each room has a little dedicated outdoor space with chairs and cool table, perfect for a glass of wine before or after going out to dinner Heliotrope isn’t right downtown, which has its benefits Still, there’s breweries within walking distance Rooms are clean and comfortable, staff is friendly and knowledgeable You can’t go wrong at heliotrope!

Cameron Clark

We stayed in Mt Baker and with two teens it was great they could each have their own bed They both wanted to buy the sofa style futons for their rooms at home

The newer fridge worked great to keep our road trip goodies cool and the hotel was so well located We biked everywhere or walked The coffee from the lobby was delicious in the morning

I stayed for four nights and it was great! There is a full breakfast, complete with waffles, eggs, bacon, cereal It was like we were eating out every morning The room was fine, I didn’t spend a whole lot of time in the room, but it had everything I could ask for, and the bed was great! They are also in a great location with a coffee shop less than a block away, a gas station and Costco within walking distance!

This place was amazing Super clean, the front staff was beyond amazing The warm cookies were just what I needed

On entering the lobby I dropped everything and made quite a mess The staff rushed over to help I have never been at a hotel where I felt more at home Don’t judge my pictures I post We are mountain climbers and our gear was all over the room Nonetheless, the rooms were absolutely spotless

I K

I stayed at this hotel in early July 2022 I was thoroughly impressed with absolutely EVERYTHING, and my stay was perfect in every way When I arrived, I was greeted by a very friendly receptionist (I think her name was Kit(?)); she was personable, accommodating and professional

When I got to my room, it was perfect; the bathroom has multiple mirrors in it and a lot of complimentary toiletries (eg face soap, body soap, mouthwash, etc) When I woke up the next day and decided to check out their complimentary breakfast, I was impressed once again Not only was the assortment of items vast, the quality of breakfast items was top notch They had everything from soy chocolate milk to chocolate chips and sprinkles(!) for waffles, to the latte/mocha machine Once again, the staff was amazing, the room was immaculate and the breakfast was so much better than I would ever expect at a 3-star hotel Book your stay here and you will not regret it

We recently stayed at Oostema Farmstead and had one of the best vacation experiences There were several things we loved about the farm Firstly, we stayed in the tiny house, and it was really beautiful inside out

Lisa and Glen have thought of the tiniest detail to make the place feel like home away from home Each window had a beautiful view We were surrounded by beautiful landscapes all around We could even see Mt Baker in the distance We enjoyed evening strolls in the raspberry fields They give a tour of the farm which is filled with fun activities like feeding and petting the animals We also enjoyed the sun setting down acres and acres of green farmlands Lisa also has a beautiful vegetable garden where she grows a variety of vegetables, herbs and flowers She also helped us pick out some of her best veggies! Even the farm workers and other campers were really friendly Overall, we had a relaxing and tranquil experience at Oostema Farm!

Danielle Michiaels

The Oostema Farmstead is simply amazing! The property is gorgeous and the owners and their family are even nicer Upon arrival we were greeted and directed by the owners on where to park our camper for the evening They were patient, kind and friendly as I took some time getting into the right place

They had family in for the weekend for a wedding, and every person we ran into was so wholesome, kind and a pleasure to chat with Our kids loved seeing the calves, goat and pig in the barn, in addition to the chickens and cows Our camping spot had a nice picnic table and fire ring overlooking a pasture and rows of crops On the other side of the farm we passed rows and rows of berries growing We also saw they have a beautiful tiny house they rent out Overall our stay has been fantastic I highly recommend visiting this farmstead! You will not regret your time spent here! Thank you to Oostema Farmstead for being such kind, welcoming hosts! We hope to visit again in future travels!

Christine Thomas

Have you ever thought about living the ‘farm life’? We hadn’t either We traveled from Florida to Washington State staying in some wonderful campgrounds along the way, however, I must say this was the most unique and enjoyable for our whole trip We traveled to Washington so that we could get away from heat, humidity and storms over the summer

We have family in the Pacific Northwest and decided to take the summer and spend 3 months in Washington State We had arrived in Washington 4 days too early before we could get to our condo accommodation and a quick search revealed some RV parks – you know the kind – side, by side, by side And Oostema Farmstead showed up We were so fortunate that the days we needed were availableLet me just say that Lisa and Glen are the most excellent hosts making sure that we had everything we needed These are full hook up sites and so worth it And wait until you get to the shower! You may wonder about that and I will just say don’t say no until you try it Best water pressure ever This is a small venue on a working farm One morning while on a business call, with the trailer door open, the farm sounds were so welcome rather than being in the city or a Starbucks where everyone can hear your conversation Yes, I could hear the clucking of the hens as I continued with business And you may hear the tractor roll by! But it is such a peaceful respite from what we are used to and I can’t say enough about the experienceLet me just leave you with this – try it and you will love it! The BONUS to this, you can buy your fresh farm eggs, bacon and meat as well! What is not to like about thatThank you to Oostema Farmstead for a great experience!Christine & Larry

I loved this room The front desk was friendly It was clean

The bar next door has live music from 6 to 9pm We didn’t find it too loud and I enjoyed the music The kitchen had all utensils and pots and pans Also a full size real coffee pot! Surprised to find the little things like comfy robes to use Only complaint is the blanket was a little warm for a room with no air conditioningTown closes down early restaurants close at 8pm

Good restaurant,130,for 4 people, rooms are spacious, amenities are good, comfortable bedding, but the one thing that got me was the fact, that at 945pm I went to work out in there minimal workout room, wich on a plaque clearly states it is open till 11,went to the provided restroom, and heard maintenance come in,I said aren’t you open till 11 he said that’s a old plaque and left,I get done, and try to get out of the restroom,it is locked,I bang on the door my heart is racing thinking I was locked in,I gain my composure and sit on the ground, about to have a panic Attack, and think there has to be another way out,and sure enough around the corner of the bathroom in the back there was,I was so relieved, why didn’t maintenance just say,I am locking this door, use the other door around the corner?????,anyway I would have included more pictures but did not feel,I needed to because of the simple fact I do not want to glorify a place that has no regard for there clearly stated plaques, for goodness sake change them,or cover them with a simple piece of paper
