Exceptional experience This was a haven to us after a long and difficult week of caretaking We were tired and weary, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and safe

I have no words I can’t believe how wonderfully we were treated Everything was clean Freshly done, comfortable beds, we slept wonderfully So thankful

Amy May

Didn’t even stay! Rates were changed after we confirmed our reservation, then the site wouldn’t allow us to cancel 4 days before even with semi-flex Not sure why the same room needs to be $30 more night 2, $22 more night 3, and $17 more night 4, especially when we won’t require any cleaning or stocking of towels Furthermore, when we arrived, the front desk clerk, who claimed to be the manager, said the rates are locked and couldn’t be changed

I know this to be false! The best thing they did for us was cancel the $760 (4 night) reservation and let us find a much better hotel to stay in ($200 less, too) I have always looked for Hampton Inns because they are always worth the money but not so sure anymore

Tausha Duncan

I had a great stay at Hampton Inn My check-in/check out was quick and easy My room was so comfortable and I loved that shower! I did kind of wish for a bathtub rather than a shower, but what was there was superior to those in any other hotel I have stayed in

My room was clean and my bed was very comfortable 100% I’ll want to stay there again the next time I’m in Louisville

The manager went above and beyond to make sure we got the rooms we preferred My brother and I live 3 states apart and we were meeting here so it was nice to be able to visit easilyEveryone else was also very nice

The room was comfortable and everything was cleanI would highly recommend this hotel to stay in

Shawnna Clement (Pathfinder76)

The staff was friendly and helpful My kids loved the pool The rooms were clean, AC was quiet and controlled by a wall thermostat

We have mixed reviews on the beds The kids liked the squishy pillow top mattress, but it was so uncomfortable trying to sit up to watch TV My husband and I were very surprised that our backs weren’t tweaked from the absence of firmness I was disappointed that the only hot item was some paper thin bacon

Gia Walker

This was an awesome hotel Would have given 5 stars We had 2 rooms

The water pressure in our shower was horrible but the water pressure in our other room was fine Alsoat 8:30am we were sleeping and were woke up by knocking on the doorof course we did not answer right away so they just came right in! Like what?!?!? Assuming it was housekeeping! Then as we are getting ready to leaveat 11:40 another knock at the doorit was housekeeping asking if we were checking out! Where I come fromif check out time is 12 noonCHECK OUT TIME IS 12 NOON We should not be bothered before then Otherwise, great hotel!

Stayed for a single night passing through town The front desk staff was very friendly and got me checked in fast Hotel was very dated and the air conditioner didn’t seem to follow the thermostat

Beds were comfortable Everything seemed cleaned but dirty at the same time I think that’s just because of the carpet, layout, and age of the furnishings Oh and lots of empty beverage cans when we rolled in that were still there when we left I expect more from the rate I paid, but it wasn’t awful

Tonya Fisher

Nice place to stay Quiet area, easy to get to other parts of Louisville quickly Breakfast was simple yet had hot options

Would have liked more fruit choicesA little short staffed at the time we went which made service a little slower at times otherwise it works have been 5 stars

Kirsty Ashby

Relaxed and friendly! The hotel was home to traveling kids sports teams the weekend we stayed This could have bothered some, but not this family of 4!The room was clean and had everything you’d need I especially liked the refillable wall unit for shampoo, conditioner and bath gel (great products and smell amazing), trash cans without plastic bags and recycling bin

The staff we encountered were very friendly and seemed to enjoy their job We checked in after midnight without issue My kids and I enjoyed the pool The breakfast was standard but yummy and included What more could you want for a short stay?

Sir Cassie

The room was decently clean, no major issues It was good, not great Not a whole lot to say about it

The staff was nice enough but nothing special Nothing to write home about, but no major complaints I will say, the breakfast served at the hotel was greatly lacking, and was little more than a waffle maker Other that the breakfast and a few nitpicky issues, the hotel was nice, I’ve stayed there before and most probably will again

Andrea Currie

Housekeeping available upon request, yeah right Requested day before Asked three times day they were supposed to come

Was assured room would be cleaned, they never did show up The next day asked again was told they would come All they did was drop towels Digital Key never worked Breakfast staff did not keep things full an hour before it ended everything was empty Updated rooms, quiet, nice outdoor pool, but the lack of service knocked down what should be a five star review

Mike Ryan

The hotel itself was very cleanThe customer service aspect was a joke Our smoke alarm started beeping at 3 am

We called down to the front desk and he comes up to our room and said there’s no 9volt batteries in the hotel He said he can take the batteries out so it stops beeping I tell him I do not feel comfortable sleeping in a hotel room without a working smoke alarm So he takes a battery from another room’s smoke alarm, and puts it in ours While he’s trying to figure out how to get it off the wall, he cursed every other word We also asked for extra pillows and he says he doesn’t know where they are and finds us one pillow How do you not know where extra pillows are in a hotel that you work at??! Absolutely mind boggling This whole experience was terrible And of course the ice machine was broken two of the four days we were there On every floor And for how much we spent for our stay, I would expect the customer service to be more than it was I’ve never in my life been to a hotel and them tell me they don’t know where the extra pillows are AWFUL EXPERIENCE!

Madison Wozniak

Close to the interstate but not close enough to get road noise, rooms are nice and have very high quality beds Staff were extremely polite and were helpful with any issue we had (Primarily an extremely minor issue with the business center) It’s beside a really nice shopping center so if you want something to do after you check in if you get there early, you can easily walk to the shops and enjoy

Breakfast & Dinner were fantastic, my only nitpick was the biscuits burnt a bit on the bottom but that’s not their fault at all, the warmer did that and there’s no way to prevent it while still keeping them warm

Scott

The staff here is exceptional! Everyone is friendly and helpful The building is modern and well laid out The room was clean and spacious

The breakfast was great with plenty of variety There are several restaurants within walking distance and lots of shopping The security detail for the shops was out all night and kept the parking lot secure

Katharine Nowlin

The staff is FANTASTIC, with exception of the super tall male manager who is an absolute jerk—we overheard him on the phone with someone providing ‘customer service’ and he told them to go book somewhere else if they didn’t like his rates…and the experience we had directly with him, he was very hands off ‘not my problem’ when we simply were inquiring about the difference in the rates quoted online vs when we checked in-it’s wasn’t a big deal we were simply just asking BUT outside of that jerk, the staff was amazing, especially the dining staff and the housekeeping staff…everyone is refreshingly friendly and seem to find joy in their jobs

The hotel was exactly like it is pictured The pool area is clean but heavily chlorinated (messes with your smell after spending much time in there) The rooms are very clean, and well stocked The breakfast was really good, typically we would eat out for all meals but this breakfast had a good selection and the quality was above standards so there was no need to search for edible food elsewhere The nightly dinner was pretty good…with as many young children staying at this hotel I had expected to see a few more options for kids other than a hot dog, but what they did have was good I would have rated the hotel a five, but that main male manager is the only reason I had to take it down to a four Would recommend staying here

What a great experience! The staff were great! All the staff that we encountered were the same, cheerful and helpful We travel a lot for my kids sports and recently hospitality has been terrible most places we go! It was so refreshing to be treated like a paying customerThe rooms were spacious with a small kitchen area with sink, small fridge, microwave and some of the basics provided! We would definitely stay here again!

Chantal Hite

The rooms were spacious, the beds were comfortable and it was clean The shower head was pretty low and we are all under 6ft and there wasn’t much water pressureAs far as breakfast goes it wasn’t the best breakfast choices

The typical french toast sticks, hash browns, very thin bacon, toast A little bit of sugary oatmeal packages, but not any particularly healthy options, which are my go to breakfast choices that a lot of other hotels haveStaff wasn’t particularly friendly or unfriendly while checking in or out They just got their job doneAll that being said it was better than average, but I’ve definitely stayed at better places and worse places which is why it gets 4 stars

Amy Coats

Nice motel, my air conditioner was squeaking non stop so they moved me to another room and air kind of noisy in there but not as bad Whole group of people took over pool and patio area with there barbecue, couldn’t use that Walls are pretty thin, could hear the next room blaring their radio at 6:30 in the morning

But overall I like this motel, enjoyed their hot breakfast bar Friendly front desk staff

I don’t have many complaints about my stay or service my room was clean upon arrival my towels fresh plenty of parking and I liked the breakfast I did find that my pull out bed was broken and there were no extra blankets for it and room service tried to rush me to check out she was very rude kept coming back 2 hours before checkout She never cleaned my room during my stay but wanted to rush me out The other things I think need improvement are the carpets in the halls and the pool

I chose not to use it because it’s small and looked cloudy An update is definitely needed there but everything else was great The staff was amazing for the most part and nothing happened to my car in the lot

K W

The hotel has definitely seen better days My pillows were so flat they felt as though they had been used a million times ! The breakfast while plentiful was not tasty Something was just not right from the bacon, to the made to order omelettes, and even the oatmeal and this was expressed by everyone in my group

Much different taste than other Embassy suites I’ve visited The staff and everyone was nice but hotel needs a bit more renovations and updating Indoor pool is small and stayed crowded so I did not use

Brittany Kennedy

This is my 2nd time starting at this particular location It’s always clean and the staff has always had great customer service The manager went out of his way to help with our booking

And don’t let me forget the breakfast It was amazing once again We have not been disappointed yet I recommend the stay and we will definitely be staying again in the future

The staff were the best part of this hotel Everyone with whom I interacted was polite and professionalThe rooms were good

It’s as though when the owner of the location had to choose which part of the hotel in which to invest funds, they put it into the room fixtures and furniture, which is good!None of the downsides are major or would deter me on their own, but there are enough of them that they need to be addressedThe trash which had been bagged was just sitting in the hall by the elevator It didn’t smell, but was very off puttingThe doors still had the locks which required the key card to be inserted and removed, and it was spotty at best (I had to use the card and not the app, but that was due to my phone and not the hotel’s fault)The shower did not have any slip resistant surface and I had some minor slipping, but no injuryThe last negative is not the hotel’s fault, and that is the traffic patterns of the location It is challenging to get in and out of the areaAgain – good people and there are worse places to stay, but there are multiple other Hilton brand locations within 5 miles which are all-around better

Mary-Dawn Cross

After a HORRIBLE experience at Quality Inn & Suites, the staff and everything about Hampton Inn was absolutely amazing! The property was very clean, noise was very minimal and everything was newly remodeled Our room had a large TV that swiveled for you to watch from either the couch or the bed, the shower was a beautiful walk-in, the mirror had a touch power button for LED lighting

we honestly had ZERO complaints from our 2 night stay, except that they didn’t have gravy on the breakfast bar the second morning 😂 10/10 would recommend and 10/10 will stay again!

Laura Reynolds

I’ve stayed here several times over the last few months and have noticed a few more little things each time My rooms have always been clean, which is a big plus However, on my last visit, the door to my room didn’t latch securely without being slammed very hard, and even then it didn’t work very well

The doors in every room I’ve had are always hard to open I tried using the digital key, but on my last stay it only worked intermittently, and the stay before that it didn’t work at all In one room there was a malfunctioning thermostat, so it was very hot, and in another room there was no hair dryer, which I didn’t realize until I was getting ready for a day of meetings with clients The water pressure in the showers in every room I’ve stayed in has not been great, and the shower heads that are supposed to let you change it are difficult to adjust It’s frustrating to have to request housekeeping I understand that those services had to be curtailed during the pandemic but now that travel has returned to pre-pandemic levels, it seems like making people request housekeeping is more about cutting costs and increasing profits than it is about COVID mitigation measures Everyone at the hotel is always very nice and helpful

I stayed there during the Christmas week The location was great because there’s plenty of stores and restaurants in the area I had a studio which had a full bathroom(tub) and kitchen (oven)

There were 2 closets which allowed me to store my cooler, 2 cases or water, and other novelties separate from clothes and shoes The extra closet allowed the room to maintain open space I didn’t go to breakfast, but granola bars, fruit, and muffins were out whenever I had to go to the front desk The fire alarm system need some attention, but notice was given a day prior The men were friendly, in/out I was comfortable there I requested housekeeping NYE, sheet change and vacuum When I returned, Deb/Diane, I apologize not really sure, gave a thorough cleaning which was recognized when I opened to door I appreciated it so much I was on the first floor so I pretty much kept my curtains closed, but I thought having the sliding doors was a nice inclusion Everyone I encountered were courteous

Joann Miller

This is my favorite Residence Inn in Louisville hands down Its not the newest but its the best This location is set up like apartments

So whether you are staying one night or six months you can’t deny the benefits of having a patio with a sliding glass door, door opening outside instead of a hallway The landscaping is beautiful, theres a basketball court and an outdoor pool Its located in a great upscale area where there are two malls in less than 2 miles away Two expressways less than 2 miles away, full laundry room, full size kitchen, granite counter tops, two closets in your room and smart TVJason the manager is a class act and so are the employees that he supports Great team and great place

Jason Barrow

We loved our stay here The staff was very nice The 2 bedroom suite with the loft is super nice and very affordable

When we come back to Louisville we are definitely staying here They’re pet friendly so that’s a huge plus But I would definitely recommend this place to anyone Also they have a full kitchen With an oven and dishwasher too

We spent 8 nights at the Aloft Louisville East this past week The room and building were very clean and well appointed We got a great price compared to other hotels in the area, and the hotel is very well located near a lot of shopping and expressways

I only had a few minor issues, but they were small enough to not detract from my giving them 5 stars The minor issues I had were first that the water pressure in the shower is basically non existent It felt like someone was holding a plastic bag with a few holes in it over your head At first I thought this might just be an issue with my room, but we had family staying in another room and their shower’s pressure was the same The second (again very minor) issue was that you have to go to the lobby to find a garbage can So if you have pizza boxes, etc that you don’t want in your room, you have to go to the lobby to dispose of them There are no garbage cans on the room floors Neither of these things were deal breakers for us, and we enjoyed our stay If we had the need, we would stay here again if the price continues to be reasonable

Paul Jeffers

My daughter and I stayed 2 nights at Aloft Louisville East The location is perfect Right off the bypass and Westport Rd

You have everything you need close by Plus, easy to get into the city too Service was great, but we don’t need much Their snacks in the lobby are overpriced, but it’s a hotel My only gripethe pocket door that separates the toilet and shower from the vanity was hard to pull close It was binding Room number 435 Also, the comforters are light I just prefer a heavier comforter Beds are very comfortable I love the decor It’s fun and different

Matthew Glover

Great hotel, super clean, friendly staff, accommodatingNeeds:Basic microwave in all roomsIce machine on main floorBad:If you are work nights or get in late, the North West rooms stay away from, it’s close to the freeway on ramp and you can practically hear every vehicle as it climaxes it’s motor and grabs another gear to get onto the freeway Sounds like window is open It’s loud

Highly recommend the opposite side of the building

The staff was very welcoming upon our arrival Our room was clean and comfortable Breakfast was amazing and fit all of our needs! After traveling all night, it felt like we slept at home

Beyond that, the management and staff went above and beyond when our daughter’s cell phone fell down the elevator shaft! Within 20 minutes, the manager had contacted and secured a company (I believe DC Elevator) to come to the hotel and retrieve the phone! The manager was so calm and collected as I was trying to keep my daughter calm What could have been a complete disaster for our vacation was just a little bump in the road We cannot thank this team for all of their help and hospitality

Alinda Jones

My husband and I stay at hotels often, at this point I’ve purchased a blacklight to inspect the bedding to make sure they were clean Our room passed the black light test with the exception of some high use items like the coffee maker and remote I always bring wipes so I just wiped those items down

The carpet does seem a little older and kinda sticky Overall I’m really satisfied with the cleanliness of the roomThe staff was also really nice and professional

Bonnie Debbo

Lovely hotel HORRIBLE staff Receptionist refused to deal with an incident when my clothes got bleach on at the dining area I asked to find out where the bleach came from and they refused to comply

Things escalated and the cops were called when the one receptionist decided to lie about the events saying I assaulted the receptionist Which wasn’t true What was true was their cover up for using a substance not allowed in the hotel And not wanting to take responsibility for it There was no need to call the cops They stood together and fabricated a story that I assaulted a person When what I did do was go after the bottle of cleaning product and not the person All I wanted to do was test it on my clothes again To eliminate it from the search I have no idea why they would be so secretive about the use of products or take any responsibility for ruining my lovely cotton outfit 😒😒 this hotel should vet their staff better and have clear protocols in place for incidences like this

Tru By Hilton was very nice, clean and the breakfast was good We had to leave a Marriott Courtyard on Chamberlain Lane due to finding bed bugs I don’t usually post reviews but when we arrived at Tru By Hilton the receptionist made us feel better that we would definitely have no issues with any bugs

She even apologized for us having a bad experience I was sure I would not sleep but after searching the room we didn’t even find a hair The room was so clean and felt refreshing I loved that the room did not have carpeting I want to thank the Tru By Hilton for helping us with a comfortable, clean stay

I wish I had done some better research before staying here I guess I got fooled by the fact that this was a more expensive Hilton room But the room was very tiny, there was no microwave, and there were no laundry facilities! The breakfast was good though

Also, I thought the front desk worker was a homeless person! It wasn’t until he got up from the lounge area and came over to the front desk that I realized he worked there

The location of this property is excellent whereas you have major routes to take you in any direction There are several restaurant locations nearby along with other shopping The staff was extremely helpful and attentive

The breakfast and “happy hour’ selections were wonderful The room was comfortable other than the baby toilet and shower doors that don’t close and stay closed properly which i am finding to be the hallmark of the Hilton chain

This is a very nice hotel for extended stays Very well kept secret, indeed It’s close to many eateries and major highways

Any store you need is less than 5 miles away Right off of Shelbyville Road though away from the heavy traffic near the mall area Rooms look to be newly remodeled with just the right vibe and trend Very easy to feel comfy and convenient Very clean and quiet space You will fall in love with the staff who care very much about your stay and comfort- it was surprising There was a small issue after check-in and they fixed it effortlessly right away I stay with the Hilton brand quite often as I travel for work This is by far the best Homewood Suites that I have visited I frequent the area several times a year, but will often book with the Residence Inn up the street I will start to consider this hotel instead Thanks for all you do

I wanted to post a view management might be surprised to read During our stay we had a major problem It was late at night and the hotel was not able to address the concern in full that late at night

We had a rough start to our trip and unfortunately it was due to a situation that could have been avoidedMy comment is in relation to how the hotel management responded the very next day We determined that this location was not a good fit for us but valued the Marriott name and trusted that they would correct the situation They did In fact the manager did compensate us for our first night and then found alternative accommodations within the Marriott system where we received a major room upgradeAs a manager, I know that sometimes your establishment does not opposite to the standards you adhere to I was impressed with management going above and beyond to correct the issue for the remainder of our stay Thank you so much

Their google photos show a hot tub and full breakfast plates, and I think some of their online descriptions are incorrect They don’t have a spa/hot tub or free breakfast The manager (I am assuming) told me that they filled in their spa with cement because they are “filthy like a toilet”

Great Not sure what her implication was, either Marriott or this franchise in particular couldn’t keep things up to health code, or she was implying I want to do something gross, like swim in a toilet I am sure someone told her to say that, so that people don’t get mad about there not being a spa Stop saying that to your guests The room was ok clean And I would’ve stayed somewhere else with free breakfast if I had known they didn’t have it Spend the extra $50 and stay somewhere nicer

Must be trying to catch up after COVID One night there on the way through Room was clean but no wash cloths

Some wear and tear around the place: carpets, dings, etc The most interesting was the Bistro for breakfast Looking at menu and I was told, “We only have one sandwich” Okay, I’ll take two “That will take 20 minutes” Okay, can I have a latte? “No, we only have brewed coffee and only one type” Okay, I’ll take a large coffee with the two sandwiches for my wife and I “Sorry, we only have one size cup” Do you have half-and-half? “Wait here I have to go to another room and open a box to get that” This is no joke This conversation happened 25 minutes later and $20 later I leave with two overcooked sandwiches and a small/medium coffee At least the cup had a sleeve built in and the lid was firmly sealed Nice cup So, if you’re counting on the Bistro for breakfast, just keep moving on to another Marriott I’m a Very frequent Marriott guest There are better ones in the area until they get back to some sort of getting operations back to what’s expected at a Courtyard

Another great Hilton propertyInterior is very well dressed and comfortableSmall rec area for the kids

Sleep was good and rooms updatedStaff was very courteous and friendlyBreakfast was good, however i wish there was dark roast coffee as well The light roast was like 1 bean coffeeOnly cons are that house service forgot to take out tbt garbage under the sink from their cleanup and all of the dishes were still in the dishwasher but we’re clean We had to spend some time unpacking the dishwasher to use spoons and forks for our dinnerI’d definitely stay here again though

Parking if a big group could pose an issue but plenty of outdoor and indoor seating for groups to hang out All the amenities (pool, fitness, vending/sale shop, outdoor firepit) and board games available was a nice touch too After 10pm quiet is very nice and followed

Don’t mind the messy room I forgot to take photos on our first day Daughter liked the curtain to seperate room for privacy Pullout couch not that comfortable and had a cleanly issue with matress cover needing replaced Big enough for 2 kids or an adult Nice touch in shower with available shower gel and shampoo There were a few leftover hairs from previous stay on wall but that’s an easy fix with housekeeping Rooms were spacious and breakfast had something for everyone Staff were friendly and accommodating I would stay again with no hesitation Nice job!

This has been the worst Hilton experience EVER The entire front desk staff that we encountered were rude except for ONE older African American male that was working on Saturday afternoon 5/28/22 On check-in, the lady was in such a hurry she failed to provide any information regarding Wi-Fi, breakfast, gym, etc

Instead she yells out the Wi-Fi instructions and stated, “Everything is in the room” as she walked away Once we entered, there wasn’t ANY information regarding the services offered The shower was dirty, and the dishwasher was full of dirty dishes The mattress was so hard I would have been better off sleeping in the parking lot I would NOT recommend this location to anyone As a Diamond member, it’s clear this location failed to maintain the standards that I was guaranteed
